Logic Remote Comments & Reviews 2026
The change of the times. Back in the day, it would take a lot of equipment to do with this app is doing these channel strips has full control over logic Pro 11. This is just fantastic when it comes to remote work and having hands on experience I’ve been doing this for four years and I follow logic update, when it used to be E-magic should I say anymore?
Awesome app but plug-ins need help. This is a message to the developers. Well, this app is really awesome and eliminates the need for dock control on mini keyboards, there is an issue with the GUI for plug-ins are virtual instruments. The S88 keyboard by NI, have this capability built-in to mirror the virtual instrument or plug-in. If this app can duplicate that the need for the S88 is redundant and opens the door for more competition and functionality on mini keyboards. Please make this happen!
Latency trouble. Was psyched to learn that Apple created an app which I could use to enter midi data for a GarageBand project in a Music Applications course. It's true this can be done but listening to the metronome on GB and tapping anything musical on the iPad left drastic timing issues which need to be hand corrected one at a time. The point of the course is to get you aware of features you may not have used otherwise so perhaps this is a learning curve. But I suspect it's the Bluetooth connection that has the delay in receiving the midi data in sync with the songs metronome. Would it be better to export the metronome sound to the iPad so I'm tapping in sync with the device instead of the DAW? I don't know, but I see why direct connection has its strengths. If anyone reads this knows a solution let me know. Otherwise I see it as a disappointing app. I left three stars because I see this app has other features that I may appreciate outside of this midi project.
Works great with GarageBand. I started using Logic Remote a couple of days ago as the input for MIDI instruments. It works perfectly, automatically connecting and disconnecting as I start and quit GB on my Mac. No lag, maybe aided by connecting my iPad with a cable. Mac Studio M2 Max, Sonoma 14.5 iPad Air 3rd generation, iPad iOS 17.5.1 Lightning/USB-A cable via USB-A/USB-C adapter to USB-C port
Great Way To Navigate And Control Logic Pro. Logic Remote is hands down one of the best ways to work with and navigate Logic Pro. Also, since it’s available on both iPads and iPhones, it’s only…logical (🥹)to use it. Check it out and enjoy!
Apple is screwing the pooch!. Backwards compatibility used to be what we apple users were able to count on. Steve Jobs always made sure to treat us right. But ever since he left us, you people have been chipping away at what made Apple, Apple. Now it seems that we users don’t matter nearly as much to you “geniuses”, as t Well, I’m fed up with it. I was forced to buy a new ipad to keep up with iOS compatibility but now you’ve gone too far. I shouldn’t have to buy a new computer just to continue using Logic Pro OR its remote app! I can’t afford a new computer, and these days, I don’t think I’m alone. Either you make this software work for us all or I’m shopping for another DAW and eventually a new platform. Get it together, Apple! And in the meantime, put a compatible version of this remote back in the App store for us “non-desirable” users, please.
Great, yet I would add one thing.... Thank you, great app... I would very much appreciate a monitoring option. To hear the master-track through the phone, being either in another room or with headphones on. I know it would be the best quality but it sure would make this app spectacular!
Apple Has A Worm In Their Rotten Core. There is no reason why you should put a barrier between your users actually using this app with a newer version of Logic Pro X when we have an older version of your iPad. You arbitrarily gate access to force people to purchase newer versions of your products which is just trashy of you. I spent $4000 on a new iMac but because I didn't spend an additional thousand dollars to get your new iPad I can't use Logic Remote anymore. Apple really has gone downhill since the days of Steve Jobs. I regret ever giving you my money.
Fantastic concept but crashes are annoying workflow killers. I've started using this app to record vocals on my current project. It's very helpful to be able to control many different aspects of the recording process remotely. However, on every multi/hour sessions I've done there is a crash on my computer on the Logic side related to this app. Logic Pro continues running but whatever service listens for events from the app crashes. This results in having to do a restart which completely kills my flow. Please work with the Mac app team to resolve these issues!
Nice Addition. Although I am new to Logic Pro X, I find this app to be a very useful companion to the DAW itself. I have been working on the program with this app ever since and, when I don’t, I see the difference! Being able to play instruments from the iPad makes the experience more enjoyable and productive, in my opinion. The keyboard shortcuts, with the functions named, are just amazing. I mean... you don’t have to guess, or remember which key does what; it’s written, there, to make your life better. The app is well thought out and makes the work flow smooth and pleasant. I do really enjoy using it.
Worried about continued compatibility. Having just updated Mac OS to the maximum possible version for my hardware and updating to Logic 10.4 a few weeks ago to get the remote apps working again on my phone and iPad I am really frustrated and worried about the future with the release of 10.5 not being compatible with my Mac and now the remote app displaying a compatibility message but continuing to work. These remotes are critical to my workflow and while updating my hardware is going to have to happen at some point I cant do it now and this seems like a really silly reason to have to do so. Please maintain compatibility with 10.4 as this will allow many users with older yet still capable machines to run this app.
Great Controller. This app turns your iPad into a midi controller for logic pro. Think about the implications...no need to lug around a keyboard midi when you’re traveling. I use this app extensively whenever Logic Pro X is open. And it’s free! Can’t believe some of the reviews on here (probably people who can’t appreciate what this app is capable of).
Does what it says!. You can do many things remotely with this app, like the smart controls where you can easily play and record, or just play your song with ease… The magic thing about this app is it’s speed. It works fast with and without a cable. When you press something, it immediately happens on your mac. Don’t know why others hate this app so much, maybe because they don’t like the iphone version. It could be awesome if it had even more options. I mean it does support many actions right now, but still not so many. I think it has more potential. It’s a great tool in my workstation, but still sometimes I get tired using it and get back to the computer, because I will need to edit something not present on the app.. Give it a try if you have an iPad, you might love it! Thanks for reading!
Nice! …. WHEN IT WORKS. I don’t understand. The description says the developer is APPLE. I used this app on by iPad to connect to my MacBook to operate Garage Band. So, I go to work, get used to the product, and out of the blue, stupid happens. The app on my iPad and my MacBook don’t want to talk to each other. In fact, Logic Remote won’t even acknowledge my Mac or Garage Band exist. Uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, reinstall, reboot, reboot. Why?? It gets boring after the third, fourth, and fifth occurrence. What’s your problem developers? Time passes quickly and I have things to get done.
We need a Full version. This app is great BUT!!! By now we should have some type of full version of Logic Pro x for iPad to use when we are away from our macs. We should be able to create or edit sessions remotely. There has to be a way please make it happen. If GarageBand has a version logic needs it as well
This is great. I didn’t know this existed until recently. I’d call it Logic Controller so it pops up when searching midi controller apps. This is better than any of those. The app makes it easy for me to hit record when I’m tracking drums alone. I also appreciate the grid layout midi pads. I can play finger drums with them, & they’re velocity sensitive too. Regarding those, I would suggest being able to edit what midi note they output so I don’t need to reroute on the computer. Other than that, it’s far above anything else I’ve tried.
I was thinking can we..... I been an logic user since Logic Pro 7 and I must say we’ve come a long way. I’m aware their are quite a bit of concerns on the back end logic of the logic remote, yet I’m not here to speak on it at this time. As a songwriter I find this tool extremely helpful , especially when your recording yourself and want to eliminate the back and forth to the control room - I was wondering if by chance you can integrate the notepad project and track functions on the app - this helps with documenting lyrics and calling out those specifics for the mixer per track - it be nice to never have to leave the booth - it also would be nice not to have to go back and forth between the notepad app - idk, maybe similarly to the way the audio recording (voice memo) has been ended to logic - is it possible to tag notepad notes the a session? Just throwing out ideas - I myself am just a novice developer but I’m sure you guys can figure it out. I’d love to hear back - this would be a game changer for us songwriters in the industry
It was such a huge help…WAS.. I started using Logic Remote a few years ago to help with a few things during drum recordings, and it was such a huge relief to have. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. Most of the features in the app still work fine, such as the shortcut keys, but I see the mixer window has been completely blacked out from the app. I’m unsure if it’s a bug, or I don’t have a setting turned on but not being able to adjust levels on the fly is what is making this app unusable for me and most of the people on here. I hope it gets fixed, or someone can show me a way to fix it, but until then I cannot give this app more than two stars.
Missing features. I think the app quality is great. I wish they would support more plug-in GUIs similar to the Channel EQ even if they are stock plugins. It needs to support the piano roll as well for virtual instrument programming. I can’t really do anything with dynamics processing on this because there is no way to see gain reduction. Overall it slows me down while mixing because of this.
Works Flawlessly!. This app works very well for me. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it really is a great tool. I can use the app to start/stop logic while recording myself and more. Setup after installing is effortless, and it stays connected amazingly well with virtually NO lag in Logic or my Behringer X-Touch control surface! I have had Zero issues using this app. I Would have given ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but I’d like to see more functionality in this app for Logic Pro X. But I do believe more tools/settings will be added in future updates. This app is Great!! And Free! 😎
Oh, The GUI’s Beauty and Ease Of Use Astounds!. Clean, easily readable graphical interface replete with metering for most every channel and buss. This app is wonderfully navigable by mere intuition, with immediate responsiveness from users’ touch input on the iOS device they’re running it on, makes Apple Logic Remote an absolute joy to use, especially while away from the host computer’s display, keyboard and mouse. ‘Use it mostly while entering musical notes into Logic Pro from a beefy 88-key hammer action Akai controller keyboard some distance away from the Mac. Kudos, Apple!
Very good, but needs Step Sequencer control. This is an excellent remote control app for a DAW, much better than the average DAW control app, especially for no additional cost. However, it badly needs the ability to program the notes of the Step Sequencer that was added in the Logic 10.5 update. This seems like it would be a fairly easy update for Apple to perform. The Logic Step Sequencer is great, but a step sequencer that you have to program with a mouse is so old school. This Logic Remote app needs to let you program notes in the Step Sequencer. Thanks!
Not native resolution on 10.5” iPad Pro. I’ve been using the app since it was first introduced, and it is a great control surface app... especially since wireless networking issues were resolved. I wish the transport controls were at the bottom of the screen, and larger, however... my only gripe, besides the strangeness of seeing it upscaled for the iPad Pro 10.5” display... surely they could fit another fader or two on that display. Who cares if it is a multiple of 2, 4, or 8? Another fader is another fader. Looking forward to having this rectified. Not a huge deal-breaker, of course, since it does so many other things very well. Just the anal side of me that being a life-long Apple user has produced.
Really enjoying this app.. 👍🏼 Gives me the freedom to record on my own without having to run back and forth to the computer. Still working through learning the capabilities of it. I use it on my phone, probably a little more accessible on an iPad. Would be awesome to have some accessibility away from the studio for listening to mixes and taking notes.
This is FANTASTIC!!. This is great for anyone who uses GarageBand of Logic Pro X. It’s very intuitive and pairing couldn’t be easier. Although it is recommended that when you are using this to set your screen to “Always on” so that it doesn’t turn off while you are using it.
Not backward compatible. Knife in the back. This app is not backwards compatible with logic below 10.5. So, my 24 3.5 gHZ xeon cores, 128 gB ram ssd equipped Mac Pro is now ‘old’ and ‘weak’. So no new logic for me. And, since iOS does not allow managing versions of the installed apps - I get this, a useless companion app for software I cannot install. Beware. If you have automatic updates turned on - you’re in trouble. If your ios device would need repair - you’re in trouble. The answer I’m afraid is not fun: apple is not an investment in your future tools but investment in their marketing department. Switch to a good multi platform package like Studio One, Ableton or Steinberg before it is too late. That would give you more peace of mind, healthier nerve system and will save you a lot of money in the years to come.
Dear Apple. While everyone knows how great this app and Logic are, its kinda messed up, if you read all of the reviews from upset users, that you don’t do a very simple thing to prevent the issue where a users app updates and its not backwards compatible with their Logic. Apple you have the data on all the user’s machines. You know I have a Mac Pro 3,1 that only supports El Capitan and therefore only supports Logic Pro X 10.2 (I think, I forget exact version). All you have to do is block inter-system apps like Logic Remote and Keynote Remote from updating if you detect a Mac in the users account will not be compatible with the update. A lot of people will be very happy. And tbh, you should probably give people back backwards compatibility in the next release and then do this the right way, the smart way, the Apple way, going forward. While I did end up buying a Mac that supports Catalina, I didnt buy a new one, because my hardware requirements are so specific I cant just buy a new Mac even if I wanted to. I think this is true for quite a few audio folks, so in the event this is a business strategy, it probably won’t sell as many Macs as it might frustrate some folks to “switch”. I’m sure you’ve done your market research, but still there’s enough data to prevent this in the first place, and I dont think upsetting people and breaking their setups is a good way to sell computers. Maybe if youre Microsoft, but not if youre Apple. Cheers.
I like it but..... So let me start with, when I first downloaded the app I was running on OS 10.9. The controller worked great! I could mix from different positions, which was awesome! Then, me wanting to stay with the latest technology, kept up with the updates to find out this app would no longer support my OS and I had to upgrade my OS to continue to use it. That's BS! I say that because I use 2 DAWs, Pro Tools 10 and Logic X. If I update my OS, I can no longer use PT 10. I know this is a free app, and I'm not upgrading my OS for something so minute of a luxury. It's unfortunate because I liked the app so much. Why can't this software be backwards compatible? Or give me the option to download the previous versions before the OS requirement. Or make a controller for the older OS systems? Disappointed
Buggy, stopped working after a day.. Super buggy. Tried to use it on my brand new iPad Pro, synced it with my 2020 MacBook Pro. Worked like a charm for the first day, it was an amazing tool I was hyped. Then it just stopped working. Don’t get me wrong, it syncs and I am able to see my audio levels still. However all the controls stopped working, I can’t even get it to move a knob. Pretty disappointed, especially after getting teased with how perfect it is when it actually functions correctly. I hope the folks at Apple fix the issue. Logic is one of my favorite DAWs ever, synced with the iPad is just pure gold. Please help!
Hesitant. So I’d like to use this remote with my Logic Pro on my iMac but the reviews are all over the place. I have an Imac that I tried twice over the last year to restore only to be told by apple techs that it probably had a corrupted hard drive. Then my wife and I remembered I had backed up my MacBook Pro in 2016 to an external hard drive. We plugged it into the iMac and restored it from there. Then after this I started working my way through the updates. It won’t install el captain for what ever reason and got caught in a installing loop. So I restored it again from the external drive and at 2 am finally had Yosemite installed and everything working. My concern is that I went through all of this to get Logic Pro working on this iMac and that the remote might in someway freeze it or make it unusable. It’s an older iMac but I like it a lot and don’t want to have it become the paperweight I thought it was at one time again.
GarageBand from iPhone to iPad.. Instead of using a Mac, would I be able to use this to control GarageBand on my iPhone? I tend to use my iPhone as a mic with its surprisingly decent quality. But it’s a pain to have to keep moving it and taking it off the stand to edit and things like that.
This is for Logic for iPad NOT LOGIC PRO X OR LOGIC REMOTE. BE AWARE that a majority of these reviews consist of reviews about Logic Pro X compatibility with older macOS and Logic Remote connectivity ANYWAY I love that this is finally available on the iPad! I can essentially work the same flow I’m use to on Pro X on my iPad. There are a few things that are specific to the Mac version (access to Sampler, some Flex functions) but it’s easily worked around. Plus a good number of apps I’ve gotten for my iPad do have a Mac version so when I get my new MBP, it’ll easily transition over! The absolute portability and touch based workflow is pretty easy to get use to. I have a Magic Keyboard so MOST commands work the same (PLEASE USE A KEYBOARD IT WILL MAKE EVERYTHING FLOW SO MUCH BETTER) My requests/suggestions: - more key commands similar to Logic Pro X when using a keyboard (cmd+A, cmd+J, cmd+R, etc.) - If there’s a way to make highlighting a bit faster, that would be wonderful - Being able to map a mouse to use additional functions (example: using the right click as the Cut or Pencil tool)
It’s about time, thank you very much…. I’m soooo happy to finally have Logic for iPad. I loved my iPad in concept, but without running the standard Apple apps I like I was really about to sell it. The only thing that I held out for was this and then the iPad was perfect and reasonable for me. Logic literally came in at the 11th hour as I’d listed my iPad for sale. So far I’m beyond happy with the app. I get people complaining about compatibility, but you know… I don’t use ancient doodoo machines, so I cannot relate. M1 smokes your silly Xeon crap. Price is reasonable for a subscription. I’d hoped my $200 Mac Logic investment would carry over, but $49 a year I can live with too as long as it keeps getting worked on and added to. FINALLY, YO! Now just start welcoming game devs in please…
Was great for a while but.... I use this app for GarageBand on my Mac. It usually works well but then, it started to lag. It started with playback, then it affected the recording process of the keyboard. I can’t edit the note length or placement unless I use the mouse on the laptop, which is a drag. (No pun intended.) I’d highly recommend creating a remote control app for the Mac version of GarageBand since this app doesn’t work for as well as it should. I understand that this is primarily for Logic Pro on the Mac but I currently don’t own a compatible midi keyboard.
Really cool! Needs pedal effects for guitars!!!. Just got this for my iPad to use with GarageBand and I’m really impressed! Pretty much everything I want for editing stuff while using GarageBand feels great on a touch screen. The only thing I don’t like is that for some reason guitar pedals have been omitted from the app for some reason. I’m a guitar and bass player so I love using all of the different amps available. Those are all there but the more precise controls and knobs for the amps themselves that can be accessed on Mac can’t be accessed on this app. Nor can the pedals. I find this rather odd and disappointing because I love experimenting with the different effects I can get with all of them. Think of it, placing the pedals on the pedal board, tapping them to turn them on, making fine adjustments to the knobs would be easy, and using the whammy pedals by rubbing your finger over them would feel a lot better than clicking and dragging your finger over a touchpad or using a mouse on a computer. I’ve looked at the smart help guide on the app and there is a page for pedals but it only gives directions for using them on Mac. Hopefully they add it because being able to do everything via the companion app would make things even more seamless.
Fretboard play surface has only 10 frets. Why?. The fretboard play surface for midi input has only ten frets, and there’s no work around. One would think that because the instrument is digital they could have a scrollable 24 fret interface, or at least 12. Shoot, even 11 frets might kind of make sense given that the twelfth fret is an octave of the open string and can therefore be easily accounted for. But 10 frets? What a weird and limiting choice. It almost feels like a joke someone decided to play on musicians. Just a weird awkward choice. There’s no way to expand or scroll the fretboard or any alternative fretboards to download. Nope. Just ten frets for everyone forever. Seriously, why? And why am I the only person online who seems to be baffled and stultified by this?
New 10.5 FX option glitching out. There is the new FX function that allows you to create effects in Logic, but whenever I try to use it, it glitches and bugs out on me while recording, and I can’t undo what has recorded, which is very frustrating. I tried to record a filter out in my track, and it would just glitch out and reconnect to the 2018 MacBook Pro that I am using, and my iPad is an iPad Pro, so the hardware isn’t the issue. Please update this so it functions properly. Also I had to re-record things due to the Logic app recording a filter out section, and it filtered out part of the whole track, not just the section that I wanted.
I agree!. I totally agree! This where PC shines update the OS in PC you still can use 10 year old software what more can you ask for. I believe it’s a way to sell more newer version of Mac many may agree while time is tight right now most can’t rush out to apple store and by a new Mac every 3 years. If your Mac is nearly outdated in 3 to 5 years maybe I need to start thinking about a Microsoft surface pro.
Works Great. I use this all the time to connect to GarageBand on my Mac, and it’s a really great tool to have. I’ve always enjoyed using it so I can have a separate midi controller, mixer, or keyboard shortcuts. Great app and i can’t wait for the next update. As functional as this app is, its not a necessity, and it doesn’t speed up my workflow too drastically, its just an nice extra thing to have.
Logic is great….logic remote is not.. I was hoping to use this app to eliminate having to run back and forth from the control. Not just recording but to help check my levels too. Which works as long as you only want to check levels on one single track. Using this on my iPhone only one fader (plus the master which is useless) shows and there is no way to select another track. Why not??? It made this app completely useless for me. There are other issues with how it handles the timeline and not being able to scroll and start at different points in the song when in the mixer mode. Just basic things that should he a no brainer in my opinion. I’ve been a Logic user since version 4 (way before apple) and was hoping this app would be a good “remote” but it’s not, at least for me.
Great Potential. I want to love (and use) this app way more. The concept is brilliant. For recording in Logic it is fantastic to assign common shortcuts to buttons, really saves time for editing in Logic. However, PLEASE make the iPhone app compatible with MainStage! It works great with iPad, but isn’t cross-compatible with iPhone...why? I want to be able to assign patches to buttons so I can just click a button and be playing a new instrument. Works great on the iPad, but I’m already using that for my chord sheets. Using the phone screen would be ideal. Please make it work for all devices?
Lotsoflapjacks. Great app! Works perfectly for me with GarageBand. My only complaint is that there isn’t Bluetooth connection too. I’m often off WiFi and stranded without a cable, but I still have a laptop. Despite the lag that would occur, I would use it so much more if it had Bluetooth. That said, it’s a great app until you’re stranded!
Loved it now hate it. Loved it until it auto updated and now is rendered useless because I haven’t updated my logic to 10.5 yet . Apple should really consider making legacy versions that are compatible with older logic versions none of the guys in my band or myself are able to update to 10.5 until we purchase a new Mac to run it on.....thanks apple*note sarcasm * we just built out a whole studio and vocal booth with the design centered around using the logic controller in the booth when no one else could run the session. Guess we are screwed for a while.....
Helpful. Very helpful to be able to record while not on top of the computer. Also the listen to the audio adjust audio away from the speakers. A must have tool when working on my music.
Great but…. Please continue to improve on this great app. I would love to see the timeline scrub feature moved from the top under the transport menu to the very bottom. Having it up there has my hand covering the tracks, making it harder to see. Also, please give the option to hide track numbers at the bottom of the mixer view since they rarely match with the Logic tack or mixer numbers. And lastly, adding more detailed plugin UI like you did with the track EQ. I did find a bug where adding or moving a plugin to another slot causes it to disappear while it’s really still there. Selecting another track fixes it.
I love this app. Can’t believe I’ve been using Logic without it. Very handy! When is that next major Logic update!? Would like to see more creative controls such as a wiggle of the finger on the piano to vibrato Would love for smart controls to be brought to the iPhone in some capacity for those of us who don’t have iPads, but my workflow will definitely change for the better with this app! Thanks team!
Mayday!! Lost many functions and control in the updated remote!!. I went to record today using the new Logic Remote and many of the functions no longer work. Both my Mac and iPhone are fully updated: iOS and software. Problems in the app: - The arrows at the top of the screen no longer advance to the next/previous track. - Track Fader no longer works - you pull down the track volume and it instantly snaps back to nominal. - It doesn’t engage Mute, Solo, Record, or Recall Solo buttons anymore. *When you press the buttons/arrows they blacken but DO NOT engage. The only buttons/faders working when engaged in the app are the Cycle, Play, Record, Metronome, Dim, and Master Volume fader, Automation Mode, I/O, Send, Volume. In the Automation Mode pane, when selecting Read, Touch, Latch, or Write it does NOT engage those functions in Logic. Some pane functions work where others do NOT. Where I have always witnessed Logic Remote moving faders and making adjustments while looking at Logic on my Mac, it no longer does any of that. Please fix this problem. This remote used to be awesome and was a huge help when recording on my own; without assistance of another person. No it’s a complete hassle!
Buggy. It looks like Logic Remote does not know how to handle track stacks correctly. It appears to be unaware of what a track stack even is. It just always displays the component tracks, regardless of whether the corresponding track stack on the Mac side is expanded or not. Further, there is no method for expanding or contracting a track stack on the Logic Remote side. Apparently, there has been a lack of communication between development teams. I think I complained about this once before and was told that it was a feature, not a bug. Whatever it is, it makes the Logic Remote mixer pretty much useless to me. Anyway, Apple sure seems to be dropping the ball an awful lot lately. Anyone wanna buy an iPad?
Add this essential function:. The app has worked great so far and I have not had a single issue with it. I’m just writing saying that in order to take full advantage of the Logic Remote, there should be a more similar interface in some things as the OS version. Most specifically, when opening plugins for things like synthesizers and adjusting the advanced controls. This may be impossible to do with 3rd party plugins, but should definitely be a feature with the plugins that do come with logic. Right now when opening a plugin, you have to scroll through several pages of parameters when the whole plugin interface could fit on the screen. The will greatly facilitate and improve use of things such as the latch automation feature and will truly make Logic Remote just as powerful as any physical synth connected to a project.
Excellent, just wish that undo wasn’t so hard to get to. Overall, this app works great. Connects reliably and quickly, can access so many things without having to go over to my computer. My only wish is that undo could be available from the main screen. It’s such a hassle to have to click settings, then undo, then go back to the main screen again every time I want to undo or redo. Please put undo/redo on the main screen and I would give 5 stars!!

Awesome app. Apple Watch version too??. Love this app. Really useful when recording. Avoids the back and forth to the computer. An Apple Watch version would be really useful too. Even just with really basic transport functionality such as play/stop/record.
Failed update!. I used this as a tool for composing in Logic Pro X, now I am unable to use it at all. Please find a way to restore the functionality back. Before this happened the app was incredible, now it feels like a lame duck.
great but not quite there. this is brilliant, with so much potential, I found though that it drops out frequently losing contact with the host computer, and when playing the virtual instruments the notes sometimes 'stick' and keep playing, even when you have stopped recording. Otherwise, its pretty cool.
No longer connects to MainStage. Great app, works well with little fuss. Can lag slightly. since the updated OS I have been unable to connect to MainStage. Now useless.
Very good app. Really helpful app when recording my own work from across the studio. Would like it to be optimised for use with apogee gear as while it recognises quartet, etc. it does not allow all of the functions to be utilised. Still, really really good app!
🙄. I wish Windows was supported on this app Btw I don’t have a mac
Great app but I want more.... Yes ok I'm greedy. I'd like to be able to run two instances of logic remote on two separate iPads at one time. That way I could have the keyboard shortcuts up on one screen while I have the mixer up on the other. At the moment switching between the two takes longer than reaching for the track pad (mouse), and so isn't the time saver it should be.
The XY track pad doesn’t work.. The XY track and other remix effects haven’t worked for 2 years. Can you please fix this
Great BUT…….. Fantastic but won’t connect to LogicX 10.1.1 if your using an AD-Hoc Network, thats a problem
iPad yes but no go with my iPhone 6. iPad yes and working but no go with my iPhone 6.. Pity ...not sure why yet.. Worth it for a basic audio editor like me using GarageBand 10.1 that once loaded and the classic "restart your device then all ok.
Has great potential but not ready for production use. iPad updated automatically this morning. Showing great potential but not quite ready for production use. Track selection between the track and mixer views in Logic and the Remote app do not always remain in sync. Touch EQ interface looks good but responsiveness is choppy and does not follow selected track. Track arming also working intermittently. Overall feel is somewhat laggy on a first generation iPad Air. Should be a useful tool once initial quirks are resolved.
Doesn’t connect to Logic anymore. As other reviewers have pointed out as of 1.1.1 update it no longer connects to Logic Pro. I’ve tried everything including deleting the Logic Remote app, deleting the control surface preference file on my mac, restarting wi-fi network etc. And every once in a while it will connect. Connecting to Logic has been the flakiest in this release. Please fix this. Didn’t want to give it a low rating because it’s an awesome app, every other way.
Logic Remote. Amazing. Very flexible and one can set up virtually any combination of buttons that one needs.
Devise. I think midi controller should be able to connect to the iPad as opposed to the MacBook i. Just like how we can use GarageBand with an external device
Modulation. Needs a XY controller. Could be an alternative to Lemur/Touch OSC to manipulate modulation using tight Apple iOS/MacOS integration.
Should be better. ‘Logic Remote needs to be updated to be compatible with this version of Logo Pro’ I’m on the latest version of both. Come on Apple.
Was logic ..now unreasonable. Worked really well Before, but now won't connect , err come on guys ...a fix please. Or I'll call Donald trumpet !
Doesn't work. Completely useless
Useful new plugin features. Great to now be able to have more control over plugin parameters in the latest update.
Great addition to a great program. After just having a play, I can see how useful this will become to songwriters and composers who have small studio setups. You can now set up the computer and go to your mic to record vocals without having to set a long pre roll and then run to the mic before sit starts capturing. Also the shortcuts options are a great addition to help with the not so common keyboard shortcuts.
He would be nice to put it on iPad. Umm I got this on my iPad so I can make music without buying a computer or Mac and this is on the apple store we’re mobile people go on /mac but a lot of mobile people go to the App Store find this sick looking music app then figure out they will have to spend about 500 dollars to get a Mac pls make it for mobile as well
Mmnnn. Stupid
Works well. I love having the remote as well as a midi keyboard/ controller…the iPad allows a different feel and sometimes smoother action for some instruments. If the rotary dials on smart controls could presented as sliders as well, and the vast parameters presented in either as well (rotary or slider) it would really be a big improvement in experience / usability. Please Apple update the app to include both controls throughout. Thanks
ill logical. The previous GUI was much more attractive than V1.1, and I might add, what you can do with the app is incredibly basic, do not expect to do much more than adjust levels, pan, start and stop.
Logic Remote. As a relative newby to GarageBand I am finding Logic Remote on my iPad so valuable to my understanding of the hows and whys of music production. Brilliant, Mr Apple !
Score editor view. Since Logic has screwed up the score view when in record mode, I thought this app might be the way forward to get a view of the players part (or even supply to the player so I can go paperless). No Bluetooth support, only wifi. Come in Apple! Where are the 'geniuses' with app development? Or is more dumbing down of previously pro-Apps?
Needs more features. So awesome to be able to control GarageBand track volume from the room where I actually play! Please add: parametric equaliser to EQ from another room without a laptop, and ability to add/modify plugins such as compression just as in GarageBand on the iMac. There is space under the basic Smart Control to display and modify the Garageband guitar stomp box plugins, which is why I initially wanted this app. Using an iPad stand, users could tap to switch on distortion, reverb, or other effects for guitar and vocals, without the need for a physical stomp box. The GUI knobs are twisted, which is fiddly on my iPad mini. Knobs on other audio GUIs I use use touch-and-slide up/down to increase/decrease. Please at least add this as an option for advanced users. Also would benefit from track monitor on/off button, input channel selection, noise gate, etc. for new and existing tracks. Then I would gladly rate 5 stars, and even be willing to pay for this very useful remote!
Great great!. Perfect.working well with Logic Pro.
No longer compatable with mainstage. app is No longer compatable with mainstage. Is prompts to update mainstage however apple has not released the update yet. Not cool. DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!
No support for older iPads. Useless
Great app. Works fine. There are too many unfair reviews of this simple and useful app.
Fix the remix FX!. Come on Apple.
The worst. This app no longer works, even apple says it does not and provides near to no help on the issue. What is the use of updating anything? Try Ip touch it's really good.
Extremely useful!. I was a little skeptical, at first, how well an app would gel with pro software; but after a little tinkering, I've been pleasantly surprised. There's no delay when using it as a midi piano, kit or guitar; mixing is easier when you can manually handle the knobs and making new tracks is a touch away. You'll find yourself working on the iPad just as much as on the mac. I did, however, get lost a few times within the app, it's pretty straightforward but can get a little fiddley when changing screen settings. All in all, awesome!
10.7.4 needs update. Love it. But since update, keeps losing wifi connection?
Good...but. Works nicely like it should have trouble connecting to my 2012 iMac sometimes.
Stupid. You need GarageBand to access the app.
Pretty good. It’s a bit glitchy but good
Potential. Logic Remote has the potential to be a great app. But one thing that lets it down is the fact that apart from changing sounds, plugins and mixing, there really is nothing else. I would love it if I could create midi notes and regions straight from the iPad and I would LOVE if we could control EVERYTHING off the iPad, like if I was running of a MacBook, and I could have a second screen or even just the standard screen, but I guess this functionality hasn’t been introduced yet. Yet

Almost there ... Great app and great idea, the virtually unnoticeable latency is great for mixing, but it needs to be updated. The interface feels a little dated and I should be able to change the size of mixing tracks so I can have more on screen at a time.
All it’ll cost you is time.. This thing can be buggy. My advice to you is if you set it up and connect it and it doesn’t work well or in my case causes screen flashing on the desktop, turn it off, delete it and carry on with your life. It’s not worth futzing around with to make it work.
Needs to be fixed. This app worked great for me a couple years ago. Now the volume faders don’t work at all which is frustrating. Please fix this. I tried restarting projects and re-installing the app. Nothing worked for me yet
Useful.. Good Stuff.
Time to download again. It is hanging upon loading
Lost Mainstage Functionality!?!?!?. Why on earth would you remove the ability to control mainstage in the latest update!?
This app is amazing!!!! No bugs at all. No crashes.. I can’t even begin to understand the negative reviews. This app runs perfectly and it’s so useful!!! Thank you Apple!!
Sweet. It is free, like it should be, and it works. I read a few other reviews and was a little scared. But it was free so I tried it out and it actually works. Love it so I can record ideas while we jam. I have had 0 issues with it.
Does not work.. Sucks.
I would like more windows. I really like that I can now do so many functions with this app on my iPad, but I also really wish that the developers could incorporate more windows to make editing of the main window, piano roll, score editor possible. It would really help me in my writing and editing process.
Excellent control surface. The remote finds itself at home in your recording set up. Mine is attached to the drum kit.
SHOULD be fantastic. This app has so many things going for it (except you can’t pan on the phone, why??) HOWEVER, it constantly crashes logic. I have to open and close logic about 10 times to get it to successfully connect without logic saying it quit unexpectedly (despite logic remaining open). It will do the same thing if I ever unfocus the app on iPhone or iPad, causing me to restart my session and needing to try many times to get it going again. There is no method to submit bug reports for this, so here I am. Logic Pro 10.7.4, whatever the latest version of this app is on September 20, 2023. Please fix this and I’ll gladly give 5 stars
USB support. Please add USB support to Logic Remote for me I would love this option , keep making this App the best and also add more plug in view like how you did it with the EQ
Doesn’t work.. It just doesn’t work.. at all… like MacBook/IPhone… on the same network… next to each other… 2-3 hours of trying to set it up… went through alll the steps I found on apples web site… still will not work. It’s dumb. Pay someone to press record instead.
I wish I could give this more stars.. But a few days ago Apple auto updated this on all of my devices – and broke it. Oh - not a bug, bugs happen, we get it. No, they intentionally chose to include *no backwards compatibility to Logic versions before 10.5*. and left us using *10.4.4, the version immediately before*, no pathway to revert it. So here I am, literally between studio sessions. I don’t have time or inclination to upgrade software in between studio sessions simply because you screwed up (setting aside the fact that’s one of the big “no no’s” in a session anyway). So you just reached into my iOS devices and broke all of my remotes. Just - no. BAD APPLE.
Wonderful. Excellent controller and it works very smoothly with my Mac Pro. The only thing that i wish is an XY pad controller in a future update!
Some buttons not working. In Garage Band… horizontal view is somewhat functional, vertical useless on my iPhone 12.
Disappointed. Same here it was working perfect on my Logic Pro X them I updated as they suggested and is no longer working trying to selling me the new Version ! Seriously? I do not recommend and suggest you fix and make it work on the Logic Pro X 1.01 again!
When it works good its good. Its been okay, wish it had a different layout; it feels so narrow and you really need to search for your needs with alot of button presses. Also its been crashing my logic every single day for the last week whenever i connect
Rome is fallimg. Rome is falling a thousand years of darkness follows, and this app is the signpost of the fall.
I love Logic Remote. This app is a great companion to Logic Pro. Very innovative and intuitive. With the release of the money grabbing Logic Pro for iPad which is unfortunately only available via a subscription, I just hope that Apple will continue supporting it.
PERFECT AND I THINK IT. IT’S BASICALLY THE GREATEST THING APPLE EVER CREATED!!!
Wonderful!. Works perfectly since I updated to IPad OS 13.4.1.
A great idea poorly executed.. This app would be great if it didn't lose logic every time the iPhone went to sleep requiring a restart of Logic. As such it's a productivity killer instead of enhancer.
deception. All minimum requirements met. Using Garageband with iPhone and iPad. Not working properly. Is Bluetooth technology accountable? Homogenous products (Garageband 10.1.0. on iMac 10.9.5, Garageband 10.1.6 on Macbook pro 10.11.6 , iPhone 10.2.1, iPad 9.3.5.) Got connection using Macbook pro and iphone, but no sustainable inter connection. Bluetooth and wi-fi fully functional. Deceiving.
Connection always fail. I just bought an Ipad only for enjoying logic remote with logic pro x. I'm very disapointed because I cannot stay connected for more than 5min. You should add bluetooth communication instead of wi-fi comm. only. I think this should solve all problemes customers can have with this lost communication issue. Thanks
Works 100%. Took two attempts but works perfectly
Nice App. I just wish it’d work with more types of different Apple iPads/phones or whatever.. using a small screen isn’t really that fun for me on stuff like this.
Love the new... Icon. Great tool to have, especially if you have no friends ;)
Won't stay connected. Frustrating, spent hours trying to connect to my mac, and or mac air, neither would stay connected, interestingly enough when I tried to cancel the project in gb the iPad would connect and remote would allow functionality. I would reopen on the air or mac and it would loose connection. All versions of everything is latest, including firmware on the airport,
Doesn't Work. Ever since iOS8 my iPad won't connect to logic or mainstage.
Logic Remote. Since the update, it is working. Could prove to be quite useful.
Very poor update. Parroting another reviewer to say Apple obviously doesn’t care about sound engineer workflow as you really shouldn’t force users to update software (Logic Pro X) in the middle of a project just to use your remote control app. This app used to be simple and effective, a philosophy that seems all but abandoned by Apple, who instead has opted to force users to comply with their update schedule, which to their egocentric view makes the world a better place for everyone...kind of like how they allowed U2 to hijack iTunes and our phones with their intolerable music. BAD Apple!
Works great!!. Anyone saying that this app isn’t worth it or sucks needs to update there devices.
Doesn’t work with logic 9. Very frustrating that this doesn’t work with Logic Pro 9 - for us that don’t feel the need to spend the 300 to upgrade to pro x, now this app doesn’t work for us at all - kind of brutal !
Doesn't work !. Garageband 11 and iOS 8.1.1 doesn't connect.
Keeps losing connection!!. Needs to be fixed ASAP!
Pour transport function. Used to be Great for punch in out but the new Version is missing lots of transport feature
Logic Remote is cool!. To get it working, make sure that Logic is working fine on your computer; then make sure your iPad and your computer are on the same WiFi network, and receiving a signal of adequate strength. I have not yet worked with it enough to comment further on the application. I will probably buy the $4.99 Logic Remote manual. If you own Logic and an iPad, you might as well get this especially if you play and engineer at the same time which many of us do. 5 stars for the concept alone.
Great app. Right out of the gate save me running back and forth from behind the drums or keys or vocal booth.. it move with me however wish I had a visual but I’m running a tv in the room so no problem there. Can’t wait to see where this goes next!
GB update 10.1.5 totally ruined this app!!!. After I updated my GarageBand to 10.1.5 as suggested, this app no longer works. It's slow to load and some of the content never does. It also keeps telling me to update my GB because it's not compatible. The saddest part is it worked perfectly before. This was such a useful tool; to be able to control GB on my MacBook from my iPad. Please, please fix this.
disgusting pattern, apple!. Like several instances in the past, you are forcing ppl to upgrade machines or OS's by REMOVING functionality or suddenly BLOCKING people from using software by staggered updates. Way to go, how greedy pig windows like. No reason for this to stop working other your offensive zig zag updating of feature set in Gband suddenly refusing to work with last update on Ipad. Bloody awful biz model. Jobs would NOT run apple like THIS!!
Whaaaaa?!?!. Seriously you guys, I was about to drop $200 on a cheap MIDI keyboard, and I find out you made an app for my phone and iPad so I dont need to spend anything?!? You guys rock!
Let down..... Was quite excited to use this once I found it, but I've never been able to use it. It won't see either garage band or logic on the same network. Hopefully it get fixed soon. I'd love to use this.
Glitches. Crashes. Consistently.. That is all....
Useful & Lacking in Areas. This app is worth the time despite some annoyances. Like if you put your phone to sleep you will have to reconnect. Within the app there is a way to stop it from sleeping on its own at least though which will work as long as you personally don't put it to sleep! A big plus is key commands; you can add any command like tap tempo to the app for easy access.
Bhutani. When do we get Logic Pro x on iOS device ?
Good app but not stable.. I used this the last two years now. When it works, it is an awesome tool allowing me to go play on stage and control the recording from my cellphone. The main problem is when it loses WiFi connection so it loses Mac connection at the same time. Then it becomes useless.
Great controller. I don't know why people are so unhappy with this, I've had nothing but good experiences. You get a wide variety of controller templates, great mixer support, and helpful key commands. I find latency is acceptably low and the connection is stable. 13" rMBP 2013 / iPad Mini 4 / iPhone 6
Very nice tools for creators. You can now use your phone as a midi controller, you can adjust mixers faders in a second, you can create effects and automation, and all of this and more with a very low latency, they give us multiple new tools that really can help music creators. This is awesome.

Surprising Experience. Reviews on this remote looked pretty mixed but my experience after downloading was as follows; 1. Download remote 2. Get confused about why app would find my computer but not connect 3. Realize that the prompt was waiting on my computer 4. Astound my mind that I can control logic with my phone. 5. Further astonishment upon realization that I can both listen to and record to an open project even though computer is locked. 6. Listen to music in bed from my really long headphone extension, cry, rinse, repeat. 7. Extend thanks to developers.
Hardddddddd. Logic Remote is clutch I can record sessions in bed now 🔥🔥🔥 it would be dope to be able to see the actual playlists track that way we can make addition edits like fades and and slices
Bugs!. I start a new project in logic, make two tracks. Look at remote. The first track, named “HS” in logic, is called Preview 1 in remote. Add a second track, pull in audio for it. Suddenly this new track gets labeled Preview 1, and remote won’t show me the first track. Did this get tested at all? 2024 still bugs! I start the playback and then the stop button doesn't work! Why?
Please do this one thing. I want to be able to access my projects and create a new project from the remote app. Currently, it says to open a logic project on your computer to begin. I don’t want to have to take the time to get up and open a project when I want to lay down an idea. Would create a better user experience for me
Don’t waste your time.... You might just spend all day pulling your hair out with this app trying to get it to work. You may be online for hours looking for and following fixes that mess up your logic preferences. Total garbage. Just pony up the $8 for IP touch. It synced right up and worked flawlessly. Free doesn’t always mean good. Spend time recording instead of trying to get this app to work.
Progress. I like what is happening with remote, especially with remix fx. I’m still wanting better UX with drumming and not repeat via iPad. I’m an Ableton push user and really appreciate optimal placement of time divisions near pads. Looking forward to tweaks. I also like having the iPad plugin directly to the current MacBook pros via USB-C.
Works well. I don’t use it often, but since Universal Control, I’ve started using the app again. One thing I’d like to see would be pan control for Dolby Atmos. It would be so nice for the special panning to be controlled via the app.
Does a lot. If you use logic and have an iPad get this. Does all the midi control functions you expect...you might not need anything else besides this and your computer.
You need to have a Mac to use. Wish they would just make a logic App, I have an IPad, (which I paid a lot of money for). I can’t use Logic with my iPad because for some dumb reason you have to pair it with a Mac computer, which I don’t want and can’t afford. Guess I will just stick with GarageBand.
Apple and its upgrades ruins everything. This app was great till you can’t upgrade. It was a brilliant app, for a while. As a drummer, I could do things remotely by myself. Now, it’s just annoying. The app is useless. Too bad. I’ve been thinking of switching operating systems now for a long time. Maybe install boot camp and start using Windows softwares on my Mac. This is getting ridiculous. Apple isn’t even producing anything innovative anymore. Samsung is doing some amazing things.
If you are a music, writer, read this. This makes it so much easier to control logic if you use it if you don’t just buy it it’s so good
Disconnecting constantly. Always disconnecting randomly even just now while being wired to my Mac Pro uninstalled and factory reset my iPad Pro and still having same issue I know it’s not my network because everything else is working perfectly fine only when I use Logic Remote I’m having issues
Good to Bad. Worked well for several years, recently( Sonoma) started having connection issues then as of march 2024 no connection. went through trouble shooting. Unresolved. Have been relying on ipad pro - macbook pro. - logic pro my bad. Not sure what to do but a rethink overdue
Solo Logic App Needed. This is nice and all, but I really don’t have a use for controlling the volume of instruments remotely. I want an app that is basically a miniature version of Logic Pro that I can use to create music on the go with plugin controls and all. Upload to the cloud and it’s ready to go on your computer to make changes on the full version of Logic Pro.
Super useful. Incredible app. I don’t own an iPad, so iPhone only: If they add smart controls, remix fx control, & a way to control punch-in and punch from the inspector on iphone it’ll be perfect. 🙏🏾
Update Logic Remote for 11-inch iPad Pro. Please update Logic Remote for the 11-inch iPad Pro. The 11-inch iPad Pro is the perfect iPad for mobile mixing on my MacBook Pro, especially with its edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display. It would be nice to see Logic Remote on my 11-inch iPad Pro, next to my 13-inch MacBook Pro, with an edge-to-edge graphical user interface that magically changes from a mobile mixer, to a multi-touch drum pad.
This is what I wish other DAWs would do.. Sure, there are 3rd party apps out there that kind of/sort of work with other DAWs, but not integrated like this.
An idea. It would be nice to hear the session through the iOS app. For instance I’m tracking vocals in another room, I could hear playback through iPhone headphones. So I don’t have to run a separate headphone line.
Lar. This software does not work anymore. Earlier versions were much better. The timing of the notes is so off that it is impossible to do anything musically. And sometimes it just sends a repeated note forever, requiring a closing of the project in Logic to get the note to stop. What would be great is a USB cable interface similar to Logic Remote that gives Logic similar iOS instrument capabilities as iOS GarageBand.
Sounds cool (if it worked). My computer (2019 MacBook) recognizes the phone (iPhone 8plus) on Logic Pro X. They pretend to connect. Then nothing happens. Tried unlocking the firewall, using different networks etc. no luck. It would be really neat if Apple spent less time trying to pry every penny out of its loyal customers and torturing us with backwards incompatibility. I did JUST spend over $3000 on my 3rd Apple computer (not to mention all the iPhones and iPads). Throw us a bone maybe? 🥺
what happened. i’m not sure what you guys did, but this app won’t connect to my 2020 Mac Mini M1 (Ventura 13.4.1) running Logic Pro 10.7.9. Both my phone and mac are connected to the same wifi network and Logic is open. I do see that i have the option of connecting my phone to my mac using a USB cable but that begs the question, why the heck do i need a remote if i’m within a usb cable’s length of the computer???
Works half the time. This app is really convenient when it wants to work, which is about 50% of the time there’s no indication as it was wrong because sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t have a firewall or anything like that.
Worked. But now not so well. I used this on my iPad Air and it really worked great, but on my iPad Pro it is crashing every time I try to open the keyboard with smart controls or most of the other сontrollers. Only the mixer is stable. Does it need updating to work with the iPad Pro? Please help, need to use now!
1 star to 5 star in a single update. I take it all back! have edited my review. Apple you have done exactly what I asked!!! You have made this app function, really well too!!!
Very cool. Nice integration, great that devs keeping up with new version of Logic and adding live loops integration! I removed one start because I would like more integration with third party plugin control the logic remote. Please add the ability to change patches and parameters.
Logic is always ahead. I’ve been a logic user since Logic Pro 8. Its way beyond any other DAW, offering its users exceptional quality in its interface, options and capabilities. This App is no different.
Lazy Bad Apple. This could easily be a five a 5 star app but I’m only giving one star. There are many easy fixes that can be added to improve this app. Been waiting a long time but Apple is asleep at the wheel. Seriously, how hard can it be to add a transpose button to the fretboard. It Would make creating bass lines to lower tuning on the road a lot easier. Love logic but this app is crap.
Connecting audio units to Logic Pro x. I may be behind the curb on things in Logic, but is there a way to connect from my MacBook to my audio units VSTs that on my iPad through Logic Remote? GarageBand on my MacBook and iPad with logic remote works well but I am struggling with not having the same access to sounds and VST in Logic Pro X. Please Help….
Works great with Garage Band on mac!. I don't think this could work any better with Garage Band. For me there is almost no latency. You can even plug MIDI instruments in to your iPad with logic remote and control Garage Band on mac. If only the Remote app was this good!
Great for Remote Mixing. I use this primarily do check and fine-tune mixes on my living room system (studio running Logic is downstairs). Using Logic Remote for this is a huge timesaver. The only things missing for my needs are 1) a way to view and edit individual track automation, 2) the ability to turn Group (clutch) off and on.
Works great… when it works. Randomly disconnects from my Mac Studio… Still sees my Mac Studio, but when I attempt to connect just sits and spins, and then gives up. I don’t know what the secret sauce is to get it to work again - I’ve tried deleting the app, reinstalling the app, rebooting my Mac and logic… On one occasion, one of those sequences worked, but sometimes, most times it doesn’t … come on Apple. You’re better than this.
EXCELLENT!!!. Works very well even after updating! I love being able to control logic from my phone. Simply amazing!
This is FANTASTIC!!. This is great for anyone who uses GarageBand of Logic Pro X. It’s very intuitive and pairing couldn’t be easier. Although it is recommended that when you are using this to set your screen to “Always on” so that it doesn’t turn off while you are using it.
Great app but.... If you are working alone the functionality of this app are crucial, especially from the drum throne. I don’t see any reason why simple functions are not available on my Apple Watch.
Disappointed. My old iPad worked great with this. I buy a new iPad Pro and it’s a nightmare! None of the blue tooth WiFi connections would work. So I plug the usb direct and it sorta worked, the transport buttons work. But not the faders. And if I use the mouse to move a fader it shows it works on the iPad. But if I do it on the iPad. Nothing!! I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure this out. I’m done with logic remote. And this new iPad is getting returned
I love this app, but... It’s causing by computer screen to flash incessantly with hundreds of “new logic notifications” that I can’t access. Took me awhile to figure out that it stops when I close the app on my iPad, thought it was my computer at first. What gives?
Purchased Logic Pro from trial, now Logic Remote doesn’t work…. This app worked perfectly with the Logic Pro trial. I just pause $200 for it and now the Logic Remote doesn’t work for it. Please update the this app!!!! The entire reason I purchased Logic Pro for $200 was because of the ability to pair the Logic Remote app with it. Fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely Amazing Apple. This app will transform your entire workflow... It turns your iPad into the best controller you could possibly want. I feel like my studio game just increased, and this gives me another edge over other professional studio engineers.
Works Fantastic. Everybody keeps complaining that Apple needs to add USB support, but if they read the very short description for the update, it says that they did, indeed, add USB support, but that you need to update both your MacBook and your iPad to the latest versions of each.
Really enjoying this app.. I’m loving using this so far and it’s incredibly convenient. I’m guessing this will probably come at some point but being able to adjust various effects plugins and meters from this app would be a huge plus. Along with more in-depth mixer capabilities.
Bro this app is amazing. recording yourself has never been easier
Works with good wifi but not USB?. I have a new iPhone 12 mini and new MacBook Pro 2021 So I can’t logic Pro remote work when I connect to the lightning cable? My Wi-Fi is not good in my recording area and I do a lot of self production so I’m very annoyed and I lost my ability to use the remote! Hopefully with the Wi-Fi extender a mesh system I’ll have it up and running
Best assistant tool! Awesome!!!. I’ve been using this on my phone and iPad for 10 years and it’s always been stable and reliable! I’m a drummer so recording myself has never been easier!!!
So cool. Latest version is pretty incredible. Being able to trigger and arrange live loops with multitouch on an iOS device is super cool. The remix FX are endless fun too. Keeps on getting better and I can’t believe we get all these updates at no cost. Go Logic team!
Worthless!!. I used this app religiously until a week ago when something happened and it would no longer connect to Logic Pro X. So, I upgraded my MacBook Pro OS and now it doesn’t even recognize that my computer exists. I can no longer finish my recordings which I have a deadline for. This app is garbage!! Please fix. This is costing me money now. Thank you in advance.
Very good but more features please!. This is fabulous and quite useful but it could be really useful at a game changer if more features from logic were included, at least the full mix window. It's essential for any logic users who also have an iPad. Please can you add more features!
Lost Functions. I own an older iPad Air - I cannot update to iOS 13 - only 12.4.3 - Logic Remote does not fully support 12.4.3 with Logic Pro X. Now I’ve noticed Logic Remote has lost one key feature - the [STOP] button in the APP no longer works. Boooo 👎🏾 Apple Again - One Step Forward - Two Steps Back... I thought within the Apple eco-system - Things Just work? - i guess that’s out the window - where is Steve 👀!!
Apple keeps ruining their own products. With the removal of Bluetooth, this product is useless if you don't have wifi in your studio. The option to create an ad hoc network is also gone. Sure you can use a USB cable now, but then you have to consistently update your operating systems at the risk of losing stability in your setup. Apple really doesn't care about their users.
Great pro app.. This app with a pro ipad let you have an entire studio controller right on the ipad. I frequently use this with my iMac to control my faders faster.
Arrrrrrgh. I don’t like this app so I’ll be available to make something better you , Apple, can buy it and me. This is ambitious not malicious. I had your Mac app set an alarm and every update is well. Most of them have been crappy recently extra crappy because you didn’t have an iPad Pro app but now you’re going to charge for that too so I’m going to pay somebody else and then exploit them and sell it for a higher price. Yeah it’s fair you do it.
