Bug report. While watching the video and then go back home screen, and there is a floating window and then go back to WWDC app main screen, then tap the floating window back to the full screen and then this app will go black.

Would like to see an option to speed up videos. There’s a lot of videos to watch. I’d like to see the option to speed them up so I don’t have to sit through all of them.

Amazing PROJECT. With this app I was able to access and learn more about the process of creating a new app and playground app is also amazing!!! Thank goodness for this new platform that facilitates learning from the ground up to a more open and honest way of sharing knowledge and understanding about our students and staff and the challenges that come along the road…

Still compatible with iOS 12. This iPhone has iOS 12 and had it downloaded before this and still works fine (thanks apple!!!!)

Latest update crashes on launch. Seriously? This is *the* app from *Apple* where you learn how to *make apps* and it crashes on launch? Even when it does work, it likes to take you back to the initial view when you launch, forgetting you were several screen in and way down the list watching videos. This app does not “delight the users” like all apps are supposed to. Like others have said, the 2018 version may look sexy but the 2017 version was so much more usable!

Newbie. I’ve never used this before and the ONLY reason I downloaded this app is I was told on everyone of apple’s websites that this was the only way to get the beta version to the up coming iOS 16!! We shall see. If it does what I was told it’ll do and I’m actually able to get the beta iOS 16 I will change my Rqating to a 5-Star. However if I’m unable to get IOS 16 beta version I’ll be changing my Rating to 1-Star. Nothing bugs me more than anything is when I spend all afternoon trying to find just one simple answer. Apple had me going all over the place until they finally got me to a website that said Yes! You can get the new upcoming iOS 16 beta version by downloading Apple Developers app. Well here I am…We Shall See.

App has great potential. The app works great in both iOS/iPadOS and, recently, macOS. The navigation is logical and and I’m able to find things easily. This app has some great potential to be a great resource for development on Apple platforms. I would personally love to see support for browsing documentation and viewing the developer forums in the app if possible.

ID confirmation fail…. The only reason I wanted this app was to confirm my Identity. The app needs a picture of my drivers license, but is super cropped, and doesn’t allow me to switch lenses. To get my ID to fill the box outline, I have to be too close for the camera to focus, so the photo of my ID was so blurry that it got rejected. Ended up just using my passport, because it was the only document big enough to have the box sized so I could pull back far enough for the cameras to actually focus. Super poorly executed - at least let me switch lenses… (iPhone 12 pro)

Very Sad Thing About The app but very good. I Had this app in 2022 and it’s 2023. When I updated the app, it removed some stickers in messages and got me real sad. Pls give me back the stickers. When new stickers are here, Do NOT remove the old stickers then I will rate five stars

Learning platforms. It would be nice if Apple had an Apple supported app or learning platform for their own coding platforms to learn from (swift, etc.) ~ similar to Google’s learning platform(s) (grasshopper) or Coursera, datacamp, etc. ~ or buy a learning platform

A nightmare to enroll. Scanned my ID and got a message asking me to contact support team. Did so but only got kicked around a few times and was asked to upload photos of my ID to a site *twice*. Then they told me they to had to escalate this case to the operation team and they could not provide an estimation on when it will be reviewed. After a couple days I asked them to contact this so called operation team for an update and was only told there’s no way to obtain an update unless the operation contact the support back. Now I’m just here sitting and waiting forever, which is a completely unacceptable customer experience

Lost favorites with update. Seems that they removed all WWDC videos from 2015. Cannot search to find any of them. And more importantly, lost my previously favorited 2015 session videos. Why would an app ever delete user data? Update: while some of the 2015 videos are now back, some are still missing. For example, Protocol Oriented Design. What gives? Update: 2015 videos have returned as so did all my favorites in the last update.

Can’t Sign In. After latest update, when I tried to sign in. It showed unknown error

Camera not working to scan ID. When I use my iPhone’s normal camera or my MacBook camera, I can easily scan documents, etc because the camera auto-focuses. When I’m trying to scan my id, the image has been coming up blurry every time! I tried various lighting settings, restarting my phone, un- and re-installing the app, and it wasn’t ever able to scan my driver’s license (I have an iPhone 12 Pro), because the camera absolutely does not change its focal length. I know this is a simple setting so I’m confused as to why this isn’t an option. I’ll take down this review if this problem is fixed, but the whole app development ecosystem is completely unusable for me right now, so this app is essentially pointless for me to use.

Won’t take my ID. I don’t see why you need BOTH $100 USD yearly AND ID verification, but it doesn’t even work. Tried 3 or 4 times, with different lighting and varying distances from my license. Couldn’t be verified, every single time. I’m certain my info is correct and my ID is my ID, so I’ve concluded what I’ve known all along. Apple developers are incompetent fools. Thanks for saving me $100, you wannabe con artists.

UI Hiccups on AppleTV. Momentary freezing/hiccups occur notably often on Apple TV (A1625). I’d be nice if someone could spend some time on improving fit & finish with regard to UI smoothness; especially with regard to UI performance when video collection grids are being populated.

Crashes constantly on iOS 12.4. Crashes constantly on iOS 12.4. It crashed and kept crashing upon starting. I had to reinstall the app to get it working again and it crashes all the time while using it. I don’t have the option to upgrade to iOS 13.

Sync with Desktop. Although I’m signed in on both the desktop and iPhone, it doesn’t seem to sync my bookmarks or videos I’ve watched. Super annoying. Also, why is it asking me to enroll when I’m already enrolled?

Maybe reverse how Schedule was done. I liked the last year Schedule better. This one is a bit weird / confusing to use. Other felt more natural. I want to keep switching between Sessions and Starred Sessions but then I have to scroll back and forth

Weird accessibility bugs. The app is weird. The state of the favorite button isn’t announced normally by VoiceOver. Article headings can’t be focused with explore by touch. The adjustable page indicator doesn’t respond to VoiceOver”s adjust value. Scroll position jumps all over the place when reading articles with VoiceOver. I wish this set a better example of accessibility.

Incredible, never looses expectation ;). It really helped me going into the Apple Developer’s program!! Great interface, trustable tools for IOS computing and sources for beginners- advanced software devs. What I loved the most is that there’s always something new to look up for on there!! Very great app overalls.

Camera verification does not work. Would be great if I could actually create an account. The “validate identity” via a drivers license does not work. I have scanned it with my iPhone camera over 6 times. My Mac book over 3 times. If it is blurry it is because the app for some reason does not let you focus using the camera! Seriously Apple?

Session Times. Anyone who is going to be there & not currently in California time zone would appreciate appreciate option to see the session times in California time instead of having to translate them in their head. For those outside of your time zone it is very annoying!!! (I first wrote this review years ago)

wont send my information when trying to enroll in the developer program. keeps saying connection error every time I scan my drivers license, when my internet is working perfectly fine, i even tried switching to data and the problem is still there

Rename it Developer Crash. Update.... I’ll be damned. Two months later and still crash not fixed. Because that is all it does on iPhone XS Max iOS 12.4. Can’t upgrade phone because Apple famously employed its new feature - eliminate compatibility with older Mac OS devices. On the plus side I bought a refurbished 2019 which is my $3500 bookend because I can’t even migrate data from older Mac to the new bookend iMac because migration assistant, or rather Apple, has decided they need to reset all administrative passwords and promote ALL limited users to ADMINISTRATORS rather than my password server!!!! CONGRATULATIONS APPLE for enticing me to buy into a lockdown worse than CA and NY combined since September 2020. Now it is December 2020 and don’t expect Apple to end lockdown any time soon.

Disappointing and has unacceptable bugs. Would give 0 stars if possible. There is no way on iPad to control playback speed. There are so many videos to watch developers need to be able to easily increase playback speed if desired. Tried downloading video hoping this would allow access to speed control. Still no controls for speed and worse yet there is a bug where you are not able to delete the downloaded video so it will take up large amount of space on device forever. These are basic things and it is unbelievable Apple developers created this app and that these basic things don’t work. Very disappointed. Please at least provide a way to delete a downloaded video. Running iOS 12.3.1 on iPad Pro. Desktop version seems to have speed control but didn’t really want to watch the videos on Mac. Prefer to watch on iPad.

Upset. I usually very love everything from Apple, but now I will change my mind, because I am so upset every time everything after the new IOS update, there a lot of the apps and information are gone, also not working properly as same as before, the Apple development is making changes a lot, will not recommend people to buy apple products anymore

Change the name :/. When I download this a app I think this was a developer app where you can create amazing things but now I know that’s only videos, news, and others things, is only information. This is not an app for create things like, games, utilities, etc. is just a big document of information. I don’t recommend this app if are searching an app where you can create, 🫤 post; maybe change the name to “apple develop information” the original is confusing.

Membership Disaster. If you are a developer and wanna to purchase you subscription via app instead of a website you better stay away from this app. The renew option is broken and you will stack with your expired membership as enrolling here is not backward comparable with website Contacting support gave zero results and now I am in a long journey of opening another Apple Developer Account and loosing all my existing app purchases n the way Use website and save yourself lots of time and energy!

Terrible UX. It’s so baffling with Apple apps have horrible UX. When you tap on a video it shows you a Play icon with a slash through it. Tapping play does nothing. Doesn’t explain why you can’t play. Presumably you need to download first. So I tap download. I get an indeterminate progress indicator that spins forever. I have not one but two 5-bar 5G connections and it never finishes. Downloading a video isn’t indeterminate. Show me how much content has been downloaded! Boggles the mind. I literally gave up and googled the video name so I could watch from Safari. At least that worked! Useless app.

Useless. A week after the WWDC24 keynote, app was still showing “only one week away!”. Updated the app, it’s showing multiple videos for WWDC24 but none of the videos are playable. When you pull them up, there’s a play symbol with a line over it and they don’t play. Do I have to pay $98 to view any of the videos??

Great app. I use it mostly to watch the Apple Events from every year and mostly about other information too! 🙂

Unable to enroll. I’ve tried to enroll in developer app using my drivers license on 2 separate occasions. I even went and got a new license to ensure it wasn’t the issue. Always tells me unable to verify….. Why not use id me or using my apple sign in authentication using face scan, password,….. I can make purchases but can’t be verified for developer? Beginning to suspect issue with app

Kind of disappointing 😕. Now I know I’m a kid but I am 13 so I’m a teenager so I don’t know if that has anything to do with my problems. So I was thinking about making a game and I wanted to give it a shot, I started to look up what apps were good to use for iPad iOS and I came across this thinking, it’s free and looks cool I’ll give it a go, so here I am getting this app and I’m all excited to learn how to make a simple game. I read the reviews and looked at everything but I go through the app login and everything then when I get in I find out I can’t make games it was all just documents, articles, and videos on how but nothing on doing it. Overall it is plain boring and I don’t recommend.🫤

Speed controls. The app is not bad but the interface is interface is is very cluttered and there is no way to speed up the video. Of the two, I’d forgive the interface issues if I could speed through the video at 1.5 or 2x’s, slowing down for the sections that are new and unfamiliar. Right now I’m watching the videos in WebPlayer off the developer site and marking them as viewed in the WWDC app, in the hope that someday the dawn will break, the birds will sing, and most significantly of all, the app will allow me to speed up video.

Camera Upload. When trying to upload the back of my id the camera from my iPhone 15 doesn’t capture a clear enough image of the small print that’s on the back for the app to accept. I’ve tried at least 30 times and the back always is not clear enough.

Faulty. Unfortunately the concept is good but the app’s ID verification system is not functioning. They need to do a better job with the functionality, or provide alternatives to developers. I’ve spent a long time attempting to complete the identity verification process and it doesn’t not accept my valid driver’s license. Some times it says it can’t read when there is plenty of lighting, and other times it says just unable to verify.

I love the app but... I don’t even know what it’s for anymore I feel dumb knowing the app can help you figure out how to make a actual app but it’s not obvious how to use it. My feeble mind would never be able to do that.🫠

“Deleting this app will also delete its data”. Legitimate question but “also”? In addition to what, what else is there other than data? Full disclosure I have never used whatever this particular app was, I just now downloaded it in order to write this, but my rating was based on my overall experience with Apple products in general and I wanted to review the App Store but that wasn’t possible/or too difficult for me (again I’m not a developer obv.) so whilst not ideal this seemed fair enough and I genuinely am curious if I don’t understand something fundamental about apps/data (I’m sure that 98%+ I wouldn’t understand in anything but the most basic way) or if it’s just a word choice used in order to “dumb” things down for most people, myself included, in order to be more helpful in avoiding accidental deletions. Thank you

Better Every Year. The WWDC app gets better every year. It’s awesome that I can start a video on my iPhone, and finish it later on my iPad or Apple TV. It’s also nice that I can mark a session as watched if I happen to have attended it in person. One thing I wish would change, though, is the Favorites view. WWDC19 just ended, and I favorited all the sessions I want to watch, but when I go to Favorites, I have to scroll past all my favorites from 2016, 2017, and 2018. I don’t want to lose those favorites, but it would be nice to be able to see only my 2019 favorites. Thanks for such a great app!

This App ruined my phone. It seems like a good app too bad I couldn’t use it because my phone start acting up when I tried to open the app. It’s been turning on and off, I force restart it and still wasn’t enough had to restart settings and delete this app to work again. Now I’m scared if I download it will happen the same thing. UPDATE: My phone is still turning on and off. I am extremely mad that a single app destroyed my phone omg. Who is going to be responsible fr this?

Better and better but still has bugs/missing things. The new speed control is great. I enable subtitles when watching videos though, and on my iPad if I pause the video, close the app, and reopen it, the subtitles are gone and don’t come back even when turning subtitles off and back on again. It would also be great if the app could properly restore the application state, since it tends to get jettisoned in the background quite easily.

Bro WHY. Why is your app skipping frames on scroll? I write apps for your platform and if I had such a choppy scroll I would hate myself.

Like Dev w/o Coffee, I unfortunately downloaded this thinking it would guide me to how to develop my first app. I should just have gone to the Apple site where they do have Dev info. I thought this to be a convenience to that—Not so. Good if you want general videos. Please change your app name, it is misleading. Wasting time replying here and deleting this app after this.

Good but crashes. Pretty nice app, but it’s been crashing like crazy every time I open and do something it crashes. And sometimes is even if I don’t do anything.

Can’t give you a status on identify verification. The Apple system required me to install this app so I could verify my identity before it would let me take ownership of a developer account. I took photos of my driver license as it requested. And then nothing. Still can’t take ownership of the developer account. This app gives no status on the identity verification. So, the app failed to do it’s one intended purpose for me.

Getting around the crash. When you select a video, the app crashes on iOS 8. However, if you long press the video name, there is an option to "watch video", and that works. It's a great way to see all the WWDC videos.

Great but could be greater. This app is really useful, but a few observations after this week: * The lab scanning thing is buried, why not scan the lanyard? Or perhaps prompt to show it when an iBeacon is present * There’s no way to cancel labs. I went to mine, but it wasn’t marked as attended. I had no way to say I didn’t need it when I received a notification without leaving my session. * I’ve heard lots of people saying they wish they could see who was presenting sessions from the session description. I also really want this feature. The information is in the video, but this is only available days after. * I had to unfavorite sessions I’d watched to remove clutter. It’d be good to have a toggle to hide sessions that have finished. Thanks

Great most years, but iPhone X update broken. Love the app and content, but on iPhone X I cannot get the pass onto wallet on an account with 2 factor Auth. Please fix before WWDC so I can load up my ticket

The new update is crazy good!!. Even though I'm not attending WWDC this year, just using the app is just as good! I love the new layout and how simple the interface is. They have definitely stepped up their game with this update!!

delay the update if you can. The new version 6.0.0 makes all the exisiting videos that the previous version downloaded to my iPad inaccessible. They are still there in the container, as evidenced by the storage used, but the app can't see them. If I try to play one I know was on there, it starts to download it again (I can see by the router lights) - and it doesn't even release the storage from the old copy. If I filter by downloaded videos, no results are found. So, no catcing up on or reviewing 2016 sessions ready for 2017 if you wanted to work offline. Those who are busy and might not get watch the 2017 sessions for a couple of weeks might be better off waiting for a later release. Let's hope a bug fix finds those videos already on the iPad back.

The great way to watch WWDC. The app is prefect, but crashes when running on iOS8.

Great App. This is a great app for WWDC this year... it has dramatically improved and makes more sense post last years and the years before that.

DO NOT UPDATE TO IOS 9.2. Apple has started pushing new hardware onto existing customers with older model devices using a full screen advertisement that annoys you when you're using your phone. Don't update to iOS 9.2 if you don't want that ad, and if possible, don't support Apple in this decision by refusing to purchase any more of their products.

Great app!. Kept me up to date with everything, liked how you didn't have to be a paid developer this year to see all the videos and stuff! Great layout as well.

No content. Can't see anything in the app. When I try to sign in says "network error" when I definitely have a connection. Tried deleting and reinstalling which did nothing.

To slow. Far too slow to add the keynote video the buzz is gone and I consumed the news in a less than ideal way instead. Lost the excitement

Missing information. A promising idea, however, there is not much content in the video section. Missing presentations from 2016 and blurbs for the videos reduce its usefulness for people who do not attend the conference.

Lack of Hardware. I wait excited every year for the WWDC...… this year I was so disappointed. I was watching and patiently waiting for new hardware to be announced but nothing...… not one thing...… instead I just get lousy and minor software updates...… how ridiculous...… how absurd...… ...… has Apple don't anything this past year?! Not happy!

Wifi only?. Hi Apple dudes, it would be great if the next version allows us to download videos over our cellular networks. Lots of people have much faster cell connections and unlimited data so please let us use it, whether we are in the office or on the road! Keep a warning sure, but don’t prevent cellular downloads!

Stump the Experts regression. The schedule again makes no mention of Stump the Experts. This makes the WWDC app unusable. It worked fine in the 2014 and earlier versions of the WWDC app.

Data Eater not cool. You should have an options to allow downloading of video via Wi-Fi instead of cellular. Thank you very much for giving me a hefty bill as your WWDC app just chew through 1.8GB OF DATA by downloading the videos....

More filtering options. As an attendee to dub dub, would be great to be able to filter on videos I've already downloaded as I like to focus on those on the train. Would be nice to also filter on watched and/or downloaded (in conjunction to just favourited)

Sad not supported on earlier macOS versions. Why on earth they stopped support for earlier MacOS version is beyond me. Unless you are using a M1 with Big Sur, it's a headache.

Unsupported Version. Get this message when I launch the app ... "This version of the application is no longer supported. Please update from the App Store" But there's no other version available on the App Store. Why let me download the app if it's not compatible with my device? Running iOS 9 on iPad mini (first gen)

Doesn't work. It doesn't work on MacOS Catalina: I have it on my iPad and my iPhone--no complaints; no problems. But on my Mac, it doesn't show anything at all, and doesn't ask for a logon, or anything. I'm removing it now: it's useless. I expected better from Apple..

Really good until you connect to external screen. The External display does not display the video. We get a light mode screen and no video on the external display. It doesn’t mirror the iPad inside the video Picture in Picture on Home Screen works in mirroring mode but only a small size video. Entering full screen returns to light mode and no video output.

Catalyst. It takes only a couple of seconds to see that this app is a port from the iPad version made with Catalyst. Clunky UI, very small font, terrible experience.

Great, But.. Now get we have the option of where to store downloaded videos. Internal storage of mac mini is a little bit limited. Also, a rewind video option would be great.

Only lacking one feature!. Great app, lets any developer be close to WWDC without attending the event. Only criticism I have however is the developers whom worked on this app didn't think to consider time zones. If it converted the times of the sessions to the users local time it would be much easier and better.

Should be able to download the videos. We should be able to download the videos to the iPad.

Please add date and time localisation. You have access to our Timezone and calendar why not put times in the app in our local time this is an international app right?

Improvements. Great app, nice for studying on the go. Please consider the following improvements: - While app is in the process of downloading the video, if I play it, it seems to be streaming the video instead of using the portion that's already downloaded. - Allow for user ordering of favourited sessions, so can easily go through them one at a time, studying by personal relevance, without needing to scroll and hunt for next session. - Save all settings and markings of viewed sessions forever on CloudKit. 2017 update discarded all my past viewed info. - Show transcripts and resources in app. Currently the website gives more info for a better experience. - Ideally, scrubbing the video would auto-scroll the transcript and highlight current text, and vice versa. - Consider timestamping slides as well, to allow for seeing current slide next to video, for easier reading, and copy & pasting example code. - Allow for altered playback speed, but granularly, since 25% jumps that other Apple apps use can be excessive. - Provide for linking from each session to Notes document.

Not very useful. The app likes to direct you to a browser for many actions, removing the purpose of the app. Additionally, you can’t play videos full screen on iPad which is incredibly annoying.

No Dark Mode Icon. A sad effort

Videos can't go full screen. Videos can't go full screen. It's almost useless watching any videos using this app on a small screen. Also finding the code or being able to copy the code for the video is awful. Good luck trying to folowing along. It would've been better to display a link to a git repo

Terrible - Had to use web. I spent over an hour on the phone with apple support due to various issues with this app. I recommend people do not use it to enroll and minimize use as much as possible.

Terrible app. This is a terrible scheduling app. I can't log in to add favourites,and without that function, the app is just a huge intractable list of irrelevant events. It would be nice if it was designed logically like any other schedule with a 2d table of events that could be arranged by room or subject. I'd expect more from the annual flagship event of the apparent leaders on user experience.. Oh, and why does it need the very latest version of iOS? Spare a thought for developers with test devices who don't want to upgrade!

App Quality is Brutal. So many bugs: 1) Pressing the back button when viewing a video doesn't bring me back to my previous scroll position in the list. 2) Favorite views don't show up right away in the Favorite's tab. 3) Clicking the "full screen" button on a video doesn't go full screen but expands the video to the size of the window (lolwut). 4) Going full screen on the app while playing a "full screen" video still leaves a toolbar at the top of the screen... even though I'm full screen. 5) No keyboard shortcut exists to favorite a video. Come on now.

what’s the point of this app. I just downloaded this app and I have no idea what’s the purpose of it. That’s it that’s my review:)

Videos on Mac are teeny-tiny. For some reason the videos are presented at a tiny size, so the only option is that or full-screen (picture in picture is not an option because it doesn't give you transport controls). (There is a pref to "prefer HD videos" but it's already on by default and apparently does nothing.)

Constantly crashes. ...event though I'm not actually running it.

Video download. Was about to submit a negative review because I could not see how to download video for offline but just found it. You buried a bit deeper than in previous years. I like that all the resources are conveniently linked to the session now too. WWDC app can be your one stop access to all that dev goodness now.

Fonts on Non-Retina Macbook Air are Blurry. The fonts used in the Left Hand Side navigation bar are all blurry on my 2013 Macbook Air. This is not flatterying at all for a "developer" application.

Tiny videos. Why are the videos either TINY or fullscreen? Let us size the video with the window already please

Crashes on Catalina. After upgrading March 2021 it crashes on Mac OS Catalina

Lacks speed control in video playback. Great that there is a way to browse download Developer/WWDC content for offline use, but unfortunately lacks a means for adjusting playback speed, which is a must for long form video content. AVFoundation supports it! No technical excuse ;)

App crashes when enrolling in developer program. The app crashes repeated as soon as it tries to turn on the camera to take a picture of my identification. I'm unable to enrol in the program from my laptop. Please fix.

Can't download video. For many videos the download button is shown but pressing on it does nothing. Moreover, the watch video link is hidden for many videos but tapping on the preview starts the video...

Download for offline.. Why is this not available for all videos?

Not a lot to it. Kinda useless the app and not a lot of functionality to it very minimum functionality and web interface. Does not comply with Developer Guidelines!

Lots of great content for developers. Wish we had an iPad Pro optimized version and a tvOS version of this app.

Can't play downloaded videos. I'm not interested in streaming videos. I want to download them at home where bandwidth is free and then watch them on the subway, where there is no connection. Unfortunately, after spending inordinate amounts of time downloading everything I want to watch, it won't play them. The play control is disabled and the play symbol in the video has a bar through it. The app also requires you to use iCloud drive if you want to flag favorites. Why do I need to use iCloud to flag something locally in my app? Waste of time.

Want to love this app. I REALLY want to love this app.. So far I have been unable to watch any of the videos. I thought you could click a link to read a description about the video, nope, crashed, but I can download the video but it doesnt play.. So not sure what to do.. I have tested this on both an iPhone 6+ and an iPad 4. If they can get it running I will be very happy!

Crashes Constantly Small. With Apple developing amazing technology and having the ability to make Adaptive UI, this app diffently is an example of "do as I say, not as I do". Common apple step up your game make this Responsive and adaptive to screensizes ;)

It's a Catalyst app and it shows. Bad use of screen space on large-ish screens (not just on iMacs, also on MacBooks), bad / weird scrolling performance, video size issues... Really, the content *inside* the app is worth much more than one star, but the app itself is... very, very far from a good, native Mac app. It's clearly a "just click the checkbox" port of the iOS app. I sincerely hope Catalyst is either just a stopgap until decent Mac apps are made (because they needed something quickly for the all-digital WWDC 2020), or that they will put MUCH more effort into making Catalyst apps more true to the Mac in the future. I've long been a true Apple enthusiast, but apps like these (and News, Home, etc.) are eroding my confidence in the direction Apple is going :(

iPad interface is borked. After search I can’t get back to the main view without quitting. Not obvious how to mark favourite. No speed control.

Touch ID Face ID. Why doesn’t this app support touch/Face ID to log in?

Full Screen No Problem. I am able to watch videos full screen. Ignore the complaints. In the upper left hand corner of the video there are two arrows pointing diagonally in opposite directions. Click that. The video will be much bigger. At this point, you can click the green window button in the usual manner to enter full screen.

Device taken over by MDM. Licenses have been installed to hide folders and files and steal my information. Reset and used new iCloud and changed ISP’s for the same stuff to happen. They’ve got into my bank etc

Apple fix your servers!! iTunes enterprise not downloading updates. Cannot update it : internet slow, your servers have a problem since mid march 2020 Windows itunes is working : why not iTunes for Mac ?!

Mark views videos. I like this apps for the wwdc. The only thing i would like to see is an indicator that display in the lists and the detail view to indicate if we already viewed the video

Usability takes backseat to Graphic Design. Tiny unreadable typeface which can't be changed, no calendar view of WWDC sessions for planning one's time - a chore to use and lacking in usability.

Great content, decent app. Really needs a 1.25 or 1.5x speed option for many of the videos. They are just too slow otherwise and there is lots to get through.

Nice but video subtitles covered by controls when in landscape. Great app but the video subtitles are covered by the UI when it’s in landscape on iPhone X.

Video Speed Controls Please. I would like to be able to watch session videos at greater than 1x speed. Unfortunately the WWDC app doesn’t support that.

Disappointed. Downloaded this app with hope to catch some technology news but after reading in the “Venue Reminders” from June 4th about the all gender restroom and the lack of a fathers room to mirror the “mothers room” available I decided I can get the news I’m looking for elsewhere.

Not true Xcode. This isn’t the Xcode you’re thinking of. They hyped this like it was going to be the full Xcode experience on your mobile device. It seems like it’s just a tutorial app on what Xcode is. But it is not a developer program like it is titled. Waste of time. Honestly feel the reviews are fake or forced by paid users.

OK. Fixed synch favorites. Originally was syncing my favorites but latest update seems to be ok on that. Good app, good example of standard UI guidelines and components but unimaginative. Does its job well.

iPhone 7. Why isn’t the keyboard equipped with SS (U+00A7) the section of a text key feature! I need it Now. I can’t even sign in!

Unstable. Will crash every time I click on “platform state of the union”on my iPhone 5s. It is pretty disappointing. Videos on developer website not very compatible with my non-apple tablets(also disappointing in 2020), but I wasn't expecting this level of incompatibility with an Apple device!!

Needs ‘feedback’ part. I think there should be a way, in the app, during the meeting, to provide feedback. Eg, on the minimal coffee service and the lack of promised breakfast on Tues.

Schedule is not up to date. For some reason the schedule is not at all up to date with what’s posted on the WWDC website. If this were fixed I could actually use this app to organize my days with the Favorite function. Please fix ASAP!

Wonderful update. The new revamped app is great for navigation and finding exactly what you need.

Can’t turn off Badge Notifications. This app has no setting (even in Settings app) for turning off badge notifications, or for controlling how notifications appear in general.

Absolutely love this app!. Great for this years WWDC 2020. Love this app for projects and overall really easy for anyone to use!

Doesn’t work with Enterprise dev account. Not terribly useful for Enterprise developers. When I login with my Apple ID tied to our $300 Enterprise dev account, it wants me to spend more $$$ for a personal account, lame. Well, unless I’m doing it for work I actually don’t do it for fun. Come on Apple, get a clue.

Privacy concerns. This app basically asks for phone number and ID. So this is more for adults then teens. Please be careful when using this app.

Did apple build it?. On iPad if i start a download I can’t stop or pause it. I can’t watch downloaded videos without wifi. Can you please fix this app, specially the issue where videos are not available without wifi

Fantastic. Fantastic app! It’s a really helpful and useful tool. A few design and HIG issues, but otherwise this is an amazing app!

iPhone 14 Pro breaks the camera for the app. Unfortunately Apple still hasn’t gotten around to fixing a bug that is more than 3 months old. Your back camera won’t switch to the correct lens when validating your ID, so if you’re trying to enroll in the dev program, try elsewhere.

Horrible. So I downloaded this a month ago and it’s the worst when I first saw it I thought it will be fun but when I downloaded it i have nothing to do there is just boring stuff and it’s horrible

Still not support iPhone X. It’s been more than a week since iPhone X launch day, but this WWDC app is still compiled by Xcode 8, not full screen on iPhone X. Ironically, Apple uses WWDC app as an example to teach iOS developers how to program for iPhone X. I believe it’s unacceptable for Apple to have apps not adapting to their flagship product.

Not able to play downloaded videos. Not able to play downloaded videos when wifi and LTE are off. What’s the point of downloading the videos when you cant watch them when you have no internet access.

Enrollment is near broken. The scan process for is verification is really bad. The camera doesn’t focus this blocking my ability to enroll with proper credentials and a new iPhone and ID? How do I get around this, pretty frustrating.

Why did WWDC remove the 2x playback speed?. It’s really crucial to be able to watch these at a slightly faster speed. And while the old app used to have this, the current app doesn’t. What gives?

not what i thought. i would like easy access to my live apps on the go. i wanna see the status as in published & live on the app story. ability to pull down. republish. honestly i want a ton more too but ill build that myself. immediate notifications when you detect errors in the app. as such. i just want a way to do this without a mac. mac old. like. put a rock next to an ipad. thats what you are doing by forcing us to use the mac.

Doesn’t work offline. I have videos downloaded, but they won’t play unless I’m connected. Scrubbing yields a loading spinner, so it appears it’s not using the downloaded video at all.

No back button on filtered screen. Guys, it’s impossible to go back to previous screen after choosing any video on search result screen. There is no navigation bar.

Can I make apps. It is a good app I guess but how do I make apps? I really want to create apps so I can do stuff.

Great app... if you don’t search. After you search, the navigation bar disappears and you can’t search for another video until you force quit the app.

Force high res stream?. Is there a way to force high res video streaming? My network connection is perfectly capable of streaming high res videos, yet this genius app keeps switching to low res randomly. Watching low-res wwdc videos where I need to be able to read the codes on the screen makes zero sense.

No more Dark Mode?. The iPhone and iPad version of this app are not dark mode capable on iOS 13. Both my iPad and iPhone have dark mode enabled and the app is bright to look at night.

Why no iPad support for Xcode?. If iPad is supposed to replace a computer, then why can’t you bring Xcode to iPad?

Can't login with my developer account. Tried my personal account, which associated with device’s apple account, works pretty well. But when I tried “sign in with Apple ID “, tried to login with dev account, always jump back to start state.
