App not working!. I’ve tried finding a way to reach out to the developers to report an issue but I cannot find any way to do that with apple owned apps. So I’ll have to write it in a review and hope someone sees it. There is an issue with this app. Multiple times while listening to podcasts it will stop playing. I’ll watch the timer continue as if it’s still playing with no sound, but then if I keep watching, it will slow down, stop and even count backwards. Like it’s stuck in a loop within the same 3-4 seconds. I’ll press pause and start, rewind and fast forward 10 seconds and none of that helps. The only way to fix it is to close out of the app completely and reload it. It doesn’t need to be updated and it’s happening on my husband and daughter’s phones too so I know it’s an issue with the app and not my phone. It’s becoming so frequent that I can’t even enjoy my podcasts anymore. Please work on this bug fix so I can change my review to a more positive one. Also some advice, please make it easier to reach out to the Apple developers, because if I can’t figure it out, it’s clearly not easy to do. I only found how to reach out to purchased or downloaded apps NOT owned by apple. 😐

“Episode Unavailable”. I’ve been using this app for 10+ years with various iphones. Initially it was great. Then a few years ago after an update it began saving all podcasts on my phone, using all my storage, and setting to “delete after playing” stopped working. I had to manually delete each podcast from my phone storage. This continued for at least a year before apple did anything to change it. Now, for the past 5 days or so, half my podcasts won’t play at all. Attempting to play results in “episode unavailable” errors. I did a factory reset on my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app 2x, rebooted Wi-Fi, turned off Wi-Fi completely and tried cellular data, and still, my top dozen fav podcasts refuse to play at all. I deleted all cookies/cache/downloaded episodes. Nothing works. Podcasts are the main thing I use my phone for, so I guess my iPhone is useless to me now. Maybe in a year apple will finally correct this issue, but they don’t seem focused on making great products anymore so I doubt it. I’ll probably switch to another player and skip the apple price tag when I purchase my next phone. Very disappointing.

Auto plays old episodes now when unplayed are available. I’ve used this legacy Apple Podcast app for at least 3 or 4yrs now. Many of the apps that come preloaded on Apple devices are basic without a lot of customizable features but still are intuitive and function well. This app however seems to have lost usability and features seem to have diminished rather than gotten better over time. I do like the vast number of pods available in the platform and many seem to have fewer commercials than when I use them on other platforms. I also like the basic usability in that you can initially figure out how to use it without referring to instructions- or used to. Also keeping up with my library across devices is great. BUT sometime over the past 6 months or so it seems like some of the default features have changed. The main problem I have is when an episode has finished it now seems to auto play the next PREVIOUS episode, even if it has already been played and clearly shows as ‘played’. I swear it used to go to the next UNPLAYED episode or just stop if you were up to date. Having an old episode auto play is super frustrating when you’re driving or perhaps cooking with messy hands so that you can’t just stop what you’re doing and manually select a new episode.

The best content platform!. My life has been transformed. Over the course of a year or two, I’ve become a huge fan of podcast-land. Firstly, it’s FREE! It’s a platform that offers you the opportunity to really become an “expert” in your area of interest, whether it’s about business, financial management, or personal development/self-love and care. The Podcast app has introduced me to a new world of mindset and allows me the space to call many of those whose content I indulge in my “mentors.” Best of all, the many shows available are constantly back-linking you through the Show Notes, and I’ve discovered all sorts of other content of there’s and others across platforms; saved an expansive inventory of digital resources such as guides, e-books, checklists, and more; as well as introduced me to the hosts network of individuals too. The collaborative community involved with each other in their respective fields who contribute to building this expansive library of audio content is incredible! I love that you make it easy by allowing us to download episodes as they come, and delete them from our storage as they become a moment of the past. Thanks Apple! PS - my one frustration as of recent: since the newest iOS 15 update, my list of podcasts in my queue list delete if I close the app from the background or not play them for a while. It is a tad annoying having to go through and re-find the podcasts I had scheduled in my queue. Thank you! :-)

Ultra. Rachael Maddow’s Ultra 8 Series Podcast was unbelievably amazing. As always she goes above and beyond to give the public information that we don’t even know is out there until she presents it to us. We are so lucky to have her. She has a mind that is incomparable. I have been following her since her “Air America” days. So I was elated when she came to MSNBC. I love her Monday night shows but I miss her desperately Tuesday—Friday. But I do understand that she wants to expand in other directions. Unfortunately, you replaced her with Alex Wagner which I do not like and never have. Therefore, I skip her show. If you ever decide to replace her with someone good—such as Mehdi Hasan, I would never miss that hour. Unfortunately, NBC/MSNBC keeps him and Ayman Mohyeldin under utilized. What a waste of supreme talent. If and when they leave you or are forced out, I too will leave MSNBC. Over the years you have gotten rid of some Top Notch Talent only to replace them with decent talent.

What Happened to the Apple Podcast app?. I listen to between 10 and 15 podcasts every week on a regular basis. In recent weeks I have noticed that even though I add podcasts to my queue it is constantly reverting back and playing episodes that I have either previously listened to or have even deleted because I wasn’t interested in that one. They do not play in any sort of logical order so I will often find a podcast that’s several days old that has been skipped over if I’m not paying attention. It has also dropped extremely old episodes into the Up Next section because I’m currently subscribed to that podcast. I don’t understand what is so difficult about providing an app that plays the specific podcasts that you subscribe to in the order that they are received and to be able to re-order those easily if desired. Perhaps it’s Apple’s desire to have you “explore” more podcasts, and so they make it much more difficult to listen to the ones that you already subscribe to and throw in other random episodes that you have not asked for. If I wanted to find other podcasts and add more to my collection, I would go to the explore page, but I do not. Generally I’m a fan of Apple products, but the podcast app has become very frustrating of late.

Love your podcasts and the Thrivers Society. I would love to hear an episode on how you structure training your employees. I’ve heard you skim over it and talk about building the roadmap but Im wishing I had you to explain like a detailed roadmap to give my new employees that doesn’t miss the key marks they need to accomplish in those beginning months because I feel like my training is not getting through or not being taken seriously and that’s probably my fault. I want to know the best structure because I tried benchmarks they got ignored, I tried coming in one on one and doing a 4-6 hour class, I give them all the tips to guide them to help their marketing funnel and remind them almost weekly that guest experience is the most important focus, but I’m not quite seeing the results I want in the first few months after hiring and maybe it’s telling me I’m hiring the wrong people I’m not sure, but I can’t wait to hear your feedback! Thanks!

What happened Apple?. I’ve used this app since 2016, and the most recent interface update has really ruined my listening experience. First, it’s hard to manage all the podcasts I listen to thanks to this weird change. Second, I’ve accidentally listened to the whole first episode from the most recent season of the podcast (S3E1) instead of logically going from S2E1 to S2E2. While that episode wasn’t too spoiler-y, S3E2 was, so I’m rather angry that some of the plot was spoiled by a stupid technical difficulty. I don’t understand how this keeps happening, but it did this to me a lot with another show, but thankfully I never listened to more than the first few minutes before realizing what happened. I use this app everyday, so I can say for certain that it’s gotten worse with time. I would really like to get back to enjoying podcasts instead of worrying about whether or not the app is going to work properly or not. I’m not even upset by the added subscription service (seriously podcasters need money like the rest of us), but I think it might have caused some of the many issues I have with the app. I’m not trying to say to take the feature away, but this needs some serious work to fix everything that this update caused.

Might be the best thing ever. Stellar talk across literally every thing imaginable. I get my Alan Watts, I get my Marital advice. I can study any topic which interests me. We could use a little more Pythagoras. But as soon as a I type that someone has probably put one out in the cyber realm. Of course my music desires are jealous and teenagers are bored with all these old people topics. Hey when I was a kid you would have to have a cassette tape and recorder and be physically present to start the recording at a specific time in order to back up and be able to hear something repeated. 7 thumbs way up. The ambience is out of this world knowledgeable speakers. I could go in forever. Love this. With all that being said I would like to make a request of the developers. When I find a new podcast to listen to and I go back and start it on episode 1 it will play and then at the end of the podcast it stops and i am Bombarded with pervasive and persistent silence. However if I I find a new podcast and just start on their most current episode and it reaches the end it automatically pleases my ears by playing the episode prior to that one and could continue playing episode after glorious episode until we reach the very first one. Hopefully we could find that in a future update. And my words are more effective than “Yo podcasts are the bomb. But we should be able to play the podcasts from the oldest to the newest. Fix this nerds. But still 7 Thumbs way up!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍

Apple keeps the hot mess on the burner. If Apple is wanting Podcasts to be a best-in-class app, it is clear that they don’t actually know how to accomplish that. Interaction with Airplay 2 is buggy (speaking politely). Often, when playing through HomePods, streaming is handed off to the HomePods, which take the bit in their teeth and stop responding to the controls in the Podcasts app. Additionally, the Podcasts app seems to wind up completely out of the loop with no clue as to what is actually being played. Sometimes the app can’t seem to get a HomePod to start playing, though sometimes a workaround is to get Apple Music to get the HomePod started streaming then switching back to the Podcasts app. On another note, I have been used to selecting a podcast to play and actually hearing the podcast start laying before the currently playing display gets updated to show what is playing. I will add the caveat that this does not seem as bad under iOS 15 on an iPhone 13 than under iOS 14 on an iPhone X. If I were on the team developing the Podcasts app and looking to move to a job outside Apple, I don’t think I would mention that I worked on that team in case the hiring manager I was talking to actually used the app.

One of my absolute favorites. Maybe not a totally unbiased review as Josh interviewed me in one of the early episodes, but I can comment on this podcast from two perspectives. As a listener, I love this show. It amazes me the breadth of subjects for which Josh is able to secure guests. It’s incredible to hear first hand accounts of historically significant events. His interviewees provide unique “I was there” perspectives on truly amazing events, things that generations to come will read about in books and now have the opportunity to listen to first hand accounts of. As an interviewee, I will tell you that Josh brings a level of professionalism and honest curiosity to these conversations. He does his homework, asks great questions, and knows when to get out of the way and let the subject of the interview be the story teller. He’s a talented guy. I would highly recommend that you listen to 2 or 3 episodes, once you do…you’ll be hooked. You’ll devour the back catalog and wait anxiously for the next episode he releases. I know this is true because it’s exactly what happened with me. Well done Josh. I hope you enjoy this show as much as I do.

Don’t really listen to podcasts but I’m devouring this one!. I am SO thankful for this podcast! I’m not really a podcast consumer (can’t get into it and listen to a lot of audiobooks and music instead). But this podcast!!! I’ve subscribed and listened to several just this weekend and shared with others, including my parents, one of my pastors, and our church communication platform! (The episode I shared was the interview with Rosaria Butterfield and Christopher Yuan- GOOD STUFF!) I have a brother that has recently “come out” and it’s broken the hearts of me and my parents while my siblings have been allies with him- the Word of God and the church has been SO helpful. And the Lord shows the power of the gospel to save through lives changed- I’m thankful for the testimonies shared through Beckett and many peoples he hosts! Praise the Lord for this work He has done and your obedience to share! Because we all were dead only being made alive by the finished and saving blood of Christ, and these testimonies add to our thanksgiving to the Lord!

Scrubbing from homescreen while locked should be removed. It’s truly a dreadful and terrible feature. The phone is locked- why can we scrub and skip as well as “go to next episode” from the locked homescreen? The phone constantly is skipping episodes and jumping around. In pockets, if you hold it slightly wrong it registers your edge touch as a scrub, trying to move the massive widget that sits where your notifications do (I.e. try to scroll through notifications) bam you’ve accidentally jumped ahead 20 minutes. Multi-hour long podcasts and it’s impossible to go back to where you were exactly unless you then manually pull up the screen and do the 15 second scrub over and over until you hear a talking point you remember. It’s awful. Remove the “scrub” from locked Home Screen. At least add the ability to disable it. Really not well thought out or functional. Who skips through whole podcast episodes without reading what they’re about? Make the widget smaller. Skip the bad scrubbing. Add a “last left off at” feature. Something!!!

Bible in a year review. I just want to say how amazing the Bible in a year podcast and study with father Mike is. I have read my Catholic daily Bible the new living translation for the past five years and this is the first year that I am joining the Bible in a year with father Mike. And reading my Catholic daily Bible for the past five years I had to do my own research and sometimes it became so overwhelming because I didn’t understand something and even after researching I still didn’t understand but with father Mike he explains it and breaks it down. And if something isn’t meant to be understood he clearly says it. We just have to continue to have faith and trust in what God has laid out for us. Another important thing is to have a Catholic priest which is so important for us Catholics because I was finding myself during my research turning to protestant Bibles and protestant apps and trying to find answers. So this podcast and the study is so amazing I cannot recommend it enough my entire family is doing it.

Confusing & Counterintuitive. I normally listen to podcasts on my old iPhone 5-that podcast app makes sense and is easy to use. Contrast the current app - doesn’t make sense and difficult to use. The Up Next doesn’t seem to consistently have current episodes. The old app opens to a list of the newest episodes of your subscribed podcasts (why suddenly the switch to “follow”?) I can’t make a play list -only the current one playing plus one “play next”. I can’t easily find current and/or unplayed podcasts. With the old app you can call up a list of your subscriptions and by clicking on each one see your unplayed episodes or with an easy tap on “feed” you can see all available episodes. Somewhere buried in the newer app are “all available episodes” but it requires hunting. Also, if you tap on one of the giant icons (I don’t need giant pictures of the podcasts-better a little smaller and fit more in a window) the episode just starts playing before you can see the full description. I don’t want to beat a dead horse. Bottom line is please just admit this new app is a big mess and go back to the old one. This is the company whose product “podcast” is named after. Why not have a great app to play them?

Podcasts is neglected and dysfunctional. The old Podcasts app, several iOS releases ago, was the equal counterpart to music. It had the same system priority, it remembered what you were listening to, and it didn’t let itself get constantly preempted. No more. The app is now subservient to Music. Music is the system default, and when iOS forgets what it was last playing, it always jumps to music and starts back at the beginning of your library. That podcast you were listening to? If you’re lucky you can reopen the Podcasts app and start playing again manually and you’ll be back where you were. If you’re unlucky, you’ll tell Podcasts to play and it will start the latest episode that came in from a random podcast and what you were listening to will have to be dug out of the archives. Hope you weren’t in a hurry. See, if you’re not big into music, Apple doesn’t seem to be interested in you. Podcasts feels like an obligatory app, the result of a responsibility to a medium rather than a commitment born of enthusiasm. It’s also a frustrating app to use, sadly.

This is the married persons road map for sex. I’ve been with my husband for almost 13 years but only married two years and we were forced to cancel our wedding twice due to the pandemic so we only got married in our dining room very very briefly planning on still doing our planned wedding soon as possible because we had everything to. Have the ceremony and reception including already buying the meat. Unfortunately for the last two years though something happened to our sex life that was always amazing before but all of a sudden we were going months without it and any kind of intimacy too we don’t talk about it unless we are in an argument and throwing it at eachother to lay blame on one another which it’s not one persons fault it’s both of us we drifted apart somehow so I found this podcast after listening to many others first but I started following this advice and ITS REALLY REALLY HELPFUL I AM STILL DOING THINGS AND TRYING THINGS THE EPISODES SUGGEST BUT ITS WORTH TRYING IT OUT YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED AT THE LEAST!

Please add a feature to search podcasts by most recent. When current events happen, it would be helpful to use the search function to see any recent podcasts that mention the search term. It would lead to me discovering more podcast creators that I otherwise would not see. Instead, search results list podcasts by a poor relevance algorithm that produces episodes from years past that are not very relevant in terms of latest information. For an example, there has been a shakeup in my hometown market where a local media personality has been let go. I would like to search podcasts that cover the shakeup — but instead I see podcasts from this personality that were published 3 or 4 years ago, despite content coming from this person every day. I recently upgraded my rating from 1 star to 3, because most of the bugs that repeatedly deleted my queue, and crashed the app, have been cleaned up. One other feature that should be added is the ability to recover your queue if you accidentally skip queued episodes by erroneously tapping a queued episode further down in the list.

Room for improvement. I haven’t used other podcast apps, so I have no room for comparison. But there are endless shows to listen to, and I like the recent feature of suggested episodes appearing in the “up next” feed. 3 issues: (1) A relatively recent glitch, maybe for the last 2 or 3 months: when I quit out of the app, or even just navigate to another app momentarily and then return, an old episode auto-plays. I’ll be in the middle of a podcast, pause and come back to it 5 minutes later, and its back to the same episode of Wait Wait Don’t Tell me from 4 weeks ago. Why does it keep going back to the same episode that I’ve already listened to? Its always the same episode, no matter what show I’m listening to. (2) An ongoing issue is that it’s way too easy to get your queue erased. I like to build up a queue of episodes to listen to, but if I’m scrolling through it to see what’s already on there or to reorder some episodes, it’s easy to mistakenly tap on an episode, and if I do that, the whole queue is lost up until that point. There should be some kind of fail-safe, like a pop-up that asks if you’re sure you want to skip ahead in your queue. (3) There isn’t an easy way to go back to the first episode of a podcast. When a show is new to me but already has hundreds of episodes, is frustrating to have to scroll back foreverrr to get back to the first episode. Why isn’t there an option to view episodes from oldest to newest?

Did apple contract this app out?. How can Apple, on of the first companies to realize how important user interface is, make such a convoluted and confusing app. Is there really no way to auto play a season from beginning to end? Unless a que up the next episode when I finish an episodes the podcast app doesn’t play anything or starts the newest episode from a podcast I haven’t listened to in over a year. There isn’t even a “recently listed to” menu. I have to search for it every time and figure out what episode I’m on. It has also stopped keeping track of what episodes I have already played. So I put a bunch of episodes in que, this afternoon they dispersed and it started playing a podcast I subscribe to but don’t listen too. I suspect subscribing to the new podcast I want to listen to would fix some of this, but at least auto play the next episode of the podcast I’m whether I am subscribed to or not. I listen while working and sometimes I want to try a podcast before subscribing… I can’t be stopping every half hour to find the next episode if I forgot to air on up. Anyways, this app lacks a intuitive interface and takes to much effort to figure out. I will find another place to listen to podcasts… just hard to believe the company that made podcasts a thing can’t make a worthwhile app for them.

Podcasts are my everything!. I’m a stay at home mom with a new baby. I’m in real estate school and I live in the Midwest where we are stuck inside for most the year because of cold weather. Needless to say easy to go crazy. Did I mention I also have a teenager? Started life a little late and now I feel like I need to scramble to get a head and be successful! Seriously, ahead financially, Spiritually, I want to grow in self development so bad so I turned a podcast. It led me to a new world full of so much information I absolutely love it! Every chance I get I was in a podcast. Every time I hop in the car, when I’m cooking dinner I throw my earbuds in, when I’m struggling doing laundry, really anytime I have some time to myself. It’s not much but that’s my podcast the great! You can get a ton of information in a short amount of time and you can pause and go whenever your life lets you. This app is truly a blessing and a godsend my life!

The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe. The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe is the absolute best podcast out there. Mike’s brand of informative & insightful, yet humble and homespun commentary on remarkable people and relevant subjects is deeply inspiring and a pleasure to listen to. Mike clearly has an enduring connection with each one of his guests and they are able to delve into the topics and issues contained in the book or project being promoted, without giving too much away. Mr. Rowe has the unique talent for engaging his guests on a personal level, as well as revealing the value of the missions of their organizations, making the listener want to know more, just as he did on Dirty Jobs, Rowe’d Trip and others. Who wouldn’t want to listen to Mike Rowe talk about anything? (which he does, by the way…). Thanks, Mike! Besides being a fan of your wonderful mother’s hilarious and insightful literary and social media contributions, I continue to have a growing reading list to enjoy, based upon your guests’ books and projects, as I live abroad out here in a big, bold, ever-changing world. You help keep us grounded.

Please fix this app!!. In looking through reviews, it seems that a lot of the five star reviews are people who think they are leaving a review on a specific podcast, not this actual app. I feel like the overall rating is very skewed because of this. I’ve used this app for podcasts since 2015, and use it almost daily. The recent changes that made it so you see all unplayed episodes of a show were annoying enough. I have shows I’ve listened to for years that I’ve deleted episodes I didn’t want to listen to, and now they are all back all of a sudden. We are talking hundreds of episodes I’m weeding through to find episodes I want to hear. Now, it’s even worse! The app won’t save my playlist anymore, AND if I close the app in the middle of an episode, and I restart, it just keeps picking the same episode of a random podcast that I already heard months ago! I’ve tried other podcast apps and just haven’t liked them enough to go through the hassle of subscribing to all my podcasts again because I really did love how this app USED TO organize my episodes and I hoped they would fix all of the problems with this app. It might be time to give up, unfortunately, since it’s been months and Apple has only made the app worse.

The Most Unfriendly User Interface. I utilize this podcast medium only for certain podcasts I cannot get via the single best podcast medium available hands down and without a doubt … OVERCAST!! I wish their library was as large as this but to compare just how simple and easy to use OVERCAST is over Apple podcast, would be like scrolling the Bible. You guys are trying way too hard. I know your existence must be justified to earn a living but this podcast medium is so over thought and yet under-delivers in every way, shape and form. Exhausting itself over its indulgence of self-importance screaming nothing but “look what I can do…look what I can do…look what I can do!” - way to go Stewart. I give it two stars because I have to use it and I can be appreciative of that. But I am so tired of the convoluted navigational map that no matter what I want to do it’s always; off track, off my pending list and on and on with the back peddling trying to just get back to where I was just at. I don’t want a tutorial, I don’t want to spend hours learning how to hear a podcast your way. It should be as simple as “pick and play”.

A Must-Listen for Insightful and Varied Perspectives. Review: The View's podcast, "Behind the Table," is a must-listen for anyone seeking a mix of insightful political discussions, cultural commentary, and enjoyable banter. As a loyal viewer since 2012, I find the podcast to be a brilliant extension of the show, offering deeper insights into the hosts' thoughts and opinions. Following Anna, Sunny, and Alyssa on Instagram provides an additional layer of understanding, while Brian's private account is private, his commentary adds intrigue to his contributions on the podcast. A special shoutout to Anna for her loud and unapologetic stance on critical issues like the dangers posed by figures like Donald Trump. Her Instagram posts are as enlightening as they are enjoyable. Each host brings a unique perspective to the table, making the podcast a diverse and balanced discussion forum. "Behind the Table" feels like a daily dose of enlightenment, with each episode combining the personal touch of each host with varied viewpoints on critical topics. This podcast is not just entertainment; it's an essential listen for a well-rounded understanding of today's world. Keep up the fantastic work!

Therapy and Theology. Thankful T&T has its “own” podcast so I can find quick and easy. I’ve been following along for awhile now -recovering and working through infidelity, forgiveness etc and these segments have been life changing. As a Christian, receiving the wisdom from a therapist, a theologian and a woman who has lived in and through betrayal has been life giving. Questions of forgiveness, staying, leaving, boundaries to further protect relationships are all touched upon. Having the psychology side of it and the Word to back it is so helpful during a time of so many questions. Knowing that a godly woman has walked this journey, felt the same things, thought the same things and questioned the same things reminds us to find our worth in the One Worthy during a time of low self-confidence, lack of joy, lack of peace and to see her come out on the other side still proclaiming Gods goodness is worth it all. Kudos to Lysa, Jim and Joel for helping so many through their own (my own) journey. God Sent for sure. Eager for many more segments.

Podcast app needs to support safe use while driving. I used to enjoy the podcast app when you could set up auto play next episode in a series. For some reason I cannot find the way to do this anymore. Episodes do not auto play. When I’m driving, I have to constantly stop to get to the next episode within the same season of a podcast. For some reason it autoplays a different podcast show I was watching and completely kicks me out of the show episode list. I cannot enjoy listening in my car because it’s too much and dangerous to fiddle with the app while I’m driving and it’s unrealistic to stop every 30 min on a long drive just to play. Apple car play could be better developed so that it’s Easier to see the list of episodes for a season of a show if you are actively listening to that season. The apple CarPlay often glitches or doesn’t properly load and I can never find the show I’m currently listening to easily. This app is great otherwise, but it would be great to support functionality for safe use while in the car. If there’s something I’m missing, I would love for someone from support to clue me in on how to find the right settings for auto play.

Great for content, not great for control.. I was a stitcher user until they shut down, so I’m new to Apple Podcasts. Since I started this I’ve found it technically better in format and playback and better for finding content. Now I’ve found so many cool shows that i have more content than I could ever listen to! All good, but there are issues that REALLY annoy me, to the point where I took off 2 stars. First off, the app should open with new episodes, which is what I mainly want to see. On a slow day i can browse around and find something else. Most of all though, are the technical shortcomings. I should say that there might be solutions to these somewhere in settings but the fact that I can’t find them are just as big of a problem. I hate auto play! I don’t want to hear the next thing on some list, i want to decide the next thing to listen to. At the very least I should be able to make my own auto play list but I mostly just want to turn auto play off. I also want to turn off auto download! I’d also much rather sift through new episodes and download what I want then have to “remove download” what I don’t want to listen to, while my phone is getting a data blast to the storage! There is other things I would like to be able to tinker with the settings of, too, but basically it comes down to much more customization control in settings. That would earn this app a full 5 stars!

A whole new world. I recently discovered your podcast and I have to say, you stirred something inside me that was rather… unexpected. Like any good American I knew nothing about communism, or rather I knew one thing, communism was bad. But I never quite meshed well with the exploitive nature the surrounding culture either, it always seemed that I was at odds with the established norms of the workforce. So I’ve grown to just kinda accept that this is life and it’s better than those other places out there so just be thankful you aren’t out there. For context I’m a plumber by profession, and I live in a state where the unions, well there are no unions anymore, and I always wondered why that is. Because of your podcast, now I know. I could go on about complacently of the public in the face of doom, and the need to act soon before we’re all turned into corporate drones, or something to that effect. But I digress because mostly I wanted to thank you. Putting myself into other peoples shoes appears to have it’s benefits. And even if it turns out that those shoes happen to be red, I’ve recently discovered I like red. Take care.

At least you can leave (1*) reviews now…. [if you see this and agree it’s a terrible app, press and hold (the otherwise invisible button pops up) the critical reviews to mark them “helpful” so it’s isn’t just the 5 stars that get visibility] The Apple Podcast interface was always extremely frustrating, but recent updates have made it worse. Listen Now just queues things up without enabling users to fully customize the order things are played. To see all the episodes in a show, you now have to click multiple buttons. When I’m listening to an episode and click the show title (not episode title), it takes me to the episode page instead of the show anyway. “Library” ought to be a simple list of podcasts you saved, but it also autoplays or arranges shows according to its own algorithm that we cannot fully choose. Sometimes I want to listed to many episodes of one show back to back. Sometimes I do not. It’s weirdly inconsistent about playing all episodes of one show or all new episodes of every show depending how you hit play. Also, you should be able to save shows to your library without “following” them. I want to save the titles of shows without queuing up every new episode. Sometimes I want to retain a show title that I periodically click on in specific circumstances. I hate this app, but at least there is a way to leave reviews and feedback now (did not used to be possible—that’s how long I’ve been frustrated with this stupid app)

James Dobson’s influence on me.. I have personally listen to Dr. James Dobson on the radio for over 40 years. I listened to him before I was married. I was influenced about choosing my mate and if God blessed me with children, things that I would want to do while raising them. I listen to him after I was married, and I try to put into practice the things he taught about being a good wife. While raising three children, there were many days that I clung to the radio and hoped he would say something to encourage me. I’ve enjoyed hearing his opinion on subjects that matter in our country, like: Right to Life, school influences on children, and the importance of each of us voting. Now, I’m a grandmother and I still listen for all the reasons I mentioned above. But, I also enjoy hearing about the survival of other folks and the influences that make people different. I cannot thank Dr. Dobson and Mrs. Shirley enough for their influence on my life. I do pray for them.

Love. I’m half way through the Vallow update and to be honest, most podcasts I try to listen to, I’ve already turned it off by this point! Why you may ask? I’m not interested in listening to 20-25 minutes of the hosts talking about their lives. It’s fine that they do, but then they need to change the title of their podcasts for Pete’s sake (trying to keep it PG here). These girls get right into it. I’m a Paralegal and understand all the logistics but it’s so nice they explain what things mean to the listeners and they do it in a short amount of time. The detail is great. I’ve followed this case from the beginning and am hearing things here I had no idea about! Thank you! I have finally found a podcast that shares my level of legal inquisitiveness into this case! One that doesn’t test my patience level! The only other podcast I listen to right now is Nancy Grace and I’ve listened to her since the Casey Anthony ‘era.’ I gotta hear my “ BOMBSHELL TONIGHT” cracks me up. Even she goes on and on and on about her kids and hey, it’s okay to throw a blurb or two in, it’s going to happen, but I don’t need to hear a diatribe on every single show about them that takes up 10 minutes of the shows time! Lol I fast forward. Anyhow, thanks girls! You had me at hello!!

Continuous Playback Setting Keeps changing. Another update: three times this week. Three times the setting changed on its own. I’m back. It happened again. Less than a week. — I am so annoyed by this, I’m coming back to update my review after having to change this setting AGAIN. I turn off the continuous playback setting on this app at least once per week. Some weeks, it’s every day. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why it keeps turning on. A quick Google search reveals that this is a known issue that many people have complained about. I’ve tried going on to each of my apple devices to make sure the setting is off, and the next day, it will turn back on. Why does this setting keep changing? It didn’t even used to be the default. I do not like waking up in the middle of the night to find that my podcast app has played five episodes of a show I wanted to listen to when I’m AWAKE. FIX THIS ISSUE. ITS BEEN YEARS. Updated my review to take away another star as the continuous playback function has turned itself AGAIN. I can’t go longer than a week without it changing on its own. There are so many posts on Apple Support and Reddit about this very issue. PLEASE FIX IT. I used this app for years without this being an issue. Why has it been an issue for the last two years? It’s seriously so annoying and it’s messing with my ability to keep up on my favorite podcasts.

Great Reseller Podcast. Finally an entertaining reseller podcast!!! I’ve listened to a lot of reseller podcasts (A lot of them!) and they all sound exactly the same. Usually these reseller podcasts go like this, Here’s me telling you about all 20 packages that sold this week and I’m going to fill up this 30 minutes of the podcast by going over them one by one. (ZZZZZ- that’s me falling asleep half way through them.) In the last 5 minutes they get super excited and state here are the bolos for the week! What they don’t tell you they’re not really their bolo, but the same tired bolos that you’ve heard and seen a million times from other resellers like, Revere ware pans, don’t pass those up! Your podcast is unique, you never know where it’s going and you barely talk about reselling and bolos. It comes across more casual - like friends catching up and annoying each other. Keep up the good work.

Alcohol free. Best podcast I’ve ever listened to. I have been listening to them for hours at a time. Learning so much about why I like(d) alcohol and why my personality was prone to drinking. Im a perfectionist and highly sensitive. I had always taken really good care of myself, until a series of events led me down the wrong path. My husband drinks 4-8 beers a night now and I started drinking more than usual to numb what I though of myself. Only exasperating the problem. Becoming depressed and almost a prisoner in my own home. We are both over 65 and retired so it really didn’t seem to matter. But I now realize it does and I want to be healthy, whole and feel like my younger self. Have energy and be excited about life. Thank you for these podcast. I just shared them with my husband. Praying he will walk this journey with me. I just started the 90 day challenge a few days ago. Sincerely, Jean Morgan

Broken! Broken! Broken!!!!!. I have been a loyal Apple customer since buying an Apple IIe computer in 1982. I love Apple products. For the last 6 years I have been using this podcast app for 6-8 hours a day at work. I was taking 15 to 20 min to set up MY playlist. I would sometimes binge on a new podcast I found. Other times I would set up the order to match the types of work I was doing that day. Then Apple, you decided you knew best how and what I want to listen to. I updated my phone just before going to visit family so I just started listening again. It seems that the podcast app gets to set up my playlist-again! Didn’t you learn that people want to control the order they play their podcasts in after the last time you screwed it up? I am finding episodes I didn’t have listed suddenly pop up in the middle of my playlist or episodes I asked to play next go to the middle of the list. Podcasts that I haven’t listened to in months because I didn’t like them but hadn’t removed from my library are now interspersed in my play list. I can’t change the order either. I would have to remove them and try again I guess. What were you thinking? Doesn’t anyone that works on this app actually try to use it? I would hate to go to a new app as I have invested so much time in finding podcasts I love. Please Apple, just fix this already!

This app needs work. I don’t know what is going on with this app, but it seems to keep getting worse. I keep falling behind in pods I follow because there is absolutely NO efficient way to look at a list of the pods you follow that have unplayed eps. First the little badge that used to tell you “3 unplayed episodes” vanished multiple updates ago. Then the only ones that got pushed to Up Next in the Listen Now screen are the ones you interact with regularly. It’s frustrating having to click on the details of each show to see that you missed several episodes. NOW it started putting new episodes of a few pods I listened to ONE time and never subscribed to or followed in my Up Next feed. No thank you, I didn’t choose to follow because I didn’t want to listen to more of that pod. Please don’t clog my feed. I’ve been on the edge of switching to a different app, but didn’t want to have to start all over with my extensive listening library. Mix these new issues with the inability to sync ep progress between Apple devices (which is completely ridiculous) and this app is becoming beyond useless. I may have to just bite the bullet and move on.

Best Podcast Ever!!!. I’m so glad my friend introduced me to this podcast because now I’m hooked. I started listening in season 12 with the finale. I bought all the seasons because the stories are just so unique and keeps you wanting more!! I love the multiple part series and I love the very long ones that used to be at the finales. I know you can’t keep everyone happy but I’d get away from the episodes with the quick stories, I can’t remember off the top of my head what they’re called, but it’s where 20+ short stories are read in quick succession. I don’t like them very much, some of them are hard to keep up with while I’m working and then by the time you’re starting to get the gist, they’re over. My last critique would be to bring back the one long story at the finale, those were always my favorites. Anyway, just an all around awesome podcast. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 17. Great job guys…and gals!!!

Carson podcast by Mark Malkoff. Changed my life. Changed my perspective on the past, showed me how to talk to people and how a lot of different people think and how they deal with each other in the real world of Hollywood and New York and in the past kind of interesting to where I can’t put it down. He’s up to 372 and I have gone back and listen to half of them. So Mark is a friend and brother in Christ I’ve known for many years. I have helped him with the number of his projects and the support of him and also really appreciated how he and his wife have taught my kids since they were infants. They are upper teens now, and he is also advised us as far as aspects of their artistry. I never want his podcast to end but if it must I’m sure I will be going back over it and also playing a number of the women involved in his interviews for my daughter who may become a singer. Is so interesting to hear all of the stories I can’t say enough about this podcast.

Always Cry Wolfe. I just discovered this podcast recently and have only listened to the first three episodes (four, counting the short introductory episode), but I like it quite a bit. I might have given it four stars if I had only listened to the first two full episodes, but in the third the hosts explain that at the beginning, especially in episodes one and two, they were still finding their feet (and tongues). And the third episode is a noticeable improvement. I am willing to trust that the podcast keeps improving from this point on. The subject matter is perfect for a long-, long-time Wolfe fan such as myself and I really like the intense (if at times somewhat rambling and disjointed) discussions that can focus on the smallest details. It is very reminiscent of the Urth email discussion list that I participated in for quite some time many many years ago. As the hosts state, the Urth list was, in some ways at least, the forerunner and inspiration for this podcast, so it is also a real blast from the past for me.

So frustrating!. Update after several months: I more or less got used to this app’s problems, until today. Today is when I realized that there are dozens of episodes that I have downloaded and Added To Queue, but they are not in my queue. This is bad. Original review: Ugh! Accidentally started the last episode in my queue, which wiped out the dozens of others that I had in my queue. Really, really frustrating. Prior review: It’s frustrating that once a podcast is in the Playing Next area, you can no longer see how long the episode is. It’s frustrating that once a podcast is in the Playing Next area, you cannot see if it’s been downloaded, and cannot choose to download it. Frustrating that nowhere can you multi-select to download, mark played, remove/delete. It’s frustrating that won’t tell you the total length of the episodes that you put in the Playing Next area. It’s frustrating that in the Library, you cannot organize or group the shows. What really brings it down to 2 stars is if you accidentally start playing an episode in the middle of your queue, it wipes out all prior episodes from being in your queue, which is incredibly frustrating.

Unexpected Playlist Behavior. I generally like this app, but recently - I like it less, due to some unexpected playback behavior. I made a smart playlist including several different podcasts that have unplayed episodes published within the last week. I select the first episode on this playlist to start playing it and it seems to work ok, but if the app is ever interrupted for any reason and I resume podcast playback, it will start to play whatever partially played episode it was playing last (which is good), but instead of playing the next episode on the smart playlist, it goes to the next unplayed episode of only that one podcast, forgetting the smart playlist I made and playing episodes that are many months old. Because I often am playing the podcasts app while driving, I notice it and am irritated by the lack of variety and when I stop and park the car, I find myself manually adding episodes to “up next” and having to be more ‘hands on’ than I would like to be. The shorter summary is that smart playlists need to get a little smarter. I also have been requesting a new feature to allow me to sort a playlist by episode duration. I prefer to listen to my shorter 5-10 minute podcast episodes first and the 45 minute or the hour long podcast episodes last.

I used to rely on this. I have no idea what happened but since the last update at least half the podcasts I follow have dropped off my feed and I have to go chase down the latest ones individually. Very irritating. I tried fixing it all sorts of ways and nothing worked. Apple support is unsurprisingly uninterested. I’ll probably find a better app for this. It’s gotten worse, recently, now I get notifications for podcasts that I then go to look for and they haven’t downloaded, they’re not even in latest episodes. I’m having to check through each podcast and figure out which ones are getting lost. I’m slowly importing things into another app, but it’s really irritating that Apple isn’t lifting a finger to do anything. Also all these people who are leaving 5 star reviews for specific podcasts, do they realize Apple is getting all their ratings and the makers of the podcasts aren’t getting any of the benefit? No fix ever made by Apple. A show that I had paid a subscription to became basically unavailable because although my subscription showed on the page it was still unavailable for some reason. Numerous sessions with Apple got me a lot of empty platitudes and no action. Apple used to be really proactive about fixing problems I guess not any more.

Goodbye PMT. I’ve been an AWL for 6 years, but I’m sick of Big Cat’s hypocrisy. He pretends to be non-political and says you’re a loser if you care about the MLB moving the all-star game from Atlanta but then also spends an entire episode talking about racism in America after the Jacob Blake incident and posts videos explicitly accusing conservatives of “ruining everything” in the wake of the Dobbs decision. He has made explicitly political overtures countless times and they always seem to punch in one direction. He is perfectly entitled to his liberal perspective, but there are only so many blatant instances of hypocrisy before I say no mas. I know my “principled stand” will do nothing, but I’m writing this melodramatic/psycho podcast review because I am sad to say goodbye to PMT. I have been an AWL since 2016 and I genuinely looked forward to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for the past 6 years. Sounds pathetic, but they got me through some pretty tough times too. What I loved about PMT, and Barstool in general, was that it was a non-political sports media outlet that didn’t talk down to you. Sadly, that changed and it’s now reached a point that I can’t in good faith keep supporting the smug ignoramuses that run that place. They’ve lost one AWL and probably gained a thousand more, so make of this what you will.

Just feeling over and seen. I don’t know where to begin but I have been listening and actually dancing with Sah and how I found this beautiful soul was not coincidence as I was going through my own grieving of loosing my mom. I’m just beyond grateful for these podcasts! Inspired and seen and heard that i can only say thank you for having the courage to come forward and BE that bridge for many of us. Today as I listened to this episode with Ash Canty and all her experiences as well as Sah’s experiences I was in tears of love, compassion, gratitude and kindness. I felt as if I was part of some of those experiences as well and wow it brought so much attention from the medial world as well and how little they know about the spiritual, and the body to the care of patients and the sickness is real and how ironic to say that in the health care system. I love you Sah thank you for making my morning even more aware of advocacy for mental health care and to know that even when we saw walking in this processes alone there’s humans like you willing to be a face to bring more awareness. Because without love and consciousness there’s no way to liberate and evolve as a humanity. ♾️✨🧘🏽‍♀️🤩🌈🙏🏽

Why can’t I just swipe and delete?. Apple - I used your podcast app all the time, but when you removed deleting as an easy option in my Listen Now queue, I’ve become clogged with episodes I don’t want and can’t get rid of. For episodes Im not interested in, there is no option to simply delete it — why?? I can Remove Download but then Mark Played, in an attempt to make it go away from the queue — and sometimes that works, but just as often, it does not and remains in the same spot on the queue list. Why in the world? It makes me not want to open up the app and my Listen Now queue, because it’s littered with things I choose not to listen to, making it harder to find things that I do. I may like a show and want to co to ie subscribing, but this or that episode isn’t of interest — and yet, it will. Not. Leave. I’m looking for tech to help simplify and streamline my life and time. Apple, you’re making me go look for another podcast app, because this became prioritized to keep stuff around vs allowing the user to edit easily, as it used to.

Changed My Marriage. After 14 years of married life, money was still the hot topic for “disagreements.” “Other guys” that were taught in our church late 2000s just wasn’t feasible for 2022. Desperate for something new, I stumbled across Bob and Linda while cutting the grass and became addicted to learning simply by listening and watching them live out what they speak. I took the course, listened to the podcast, and applied their logic and it has changed my marriage. We’re still not perfect, but boy, it’s much better! I too look at budgeting like an equation to solve, but that’s not reality, especially when dealing with emotion and faith. My wife and I now communicate more, budget more freely, and spending buckets (digital envelopes) changed our habits and life. Please, take some time and just listen to genuine folks who are simply living proof that marriage and finances can coexist. PS: Linda, my wife loves her spending bucket just for her. True game changer. ;)

True Sunlight & COJ (cup of Justice). Both podcasts produced by True Sunlight are fact filled with content that is not fluff or derived from narratives in mainstream media. This is what mainstream media wanted to be when it grew up but failed to go to class. Mandy, Liz, Eric, and David, along with Eric, Beth, and the rest of the team, are spitting out work that rivals any news outlet anywhere. Running down leads, checking out sources, fact checking themselves before someone else does, and getting the story right the first time, has been evident from the start. No, I’m not a paid reviewer. I’m a real person that has followed Mandy from the beginning at The Island Packet. I live in South Carolina and am impacted by the outcome of real journalism here. I’m a premium member of soak up the sun since it started and know of the racquet that is out there in the media with ‘less than’ subscription outlets, and by watching the other podcasts jump at reporting True Sunlight’s articles as if they did the work. True Sunlight is the original and best true crime podcast. Period.

Irreparably broken. I used to use this app every single day to listen to hours of my backlog of my favorite podcasts, then Apple suddenly switched directions and completely removed the ability for users to load and store old episodes of podcasts and manage them as they like. I spent countless hours trying to find a hidden feature to do what used to simply be the natural function of the app, when it was built into iTunes, but to no avail. My huge library of podcast content was simply lost to me. It was first scrambled by the broken Podcast app for macOS, so I could no longer access the files directly, then this app failed to support playback of the files I did have. Archives of older episodes are often very difficult to come by, as many providers truncate the older files, or creators switch services and don’t bring their older episodes over to the new service. My years-old collection was lost. I ended up scouring the Internet to gather up as many of the raw MP3 files as I could find, and am awaiting someone to give me a way to organize and listen to them. Finally, recently, I discovered that iMazing may be a solution to load podcasts directly into this app manually, but my first attempt got some into my library, then they disappeared after I synced my phone again. I just don’t understand they need to remove a core functionality from one of their apps that is used by so many people. :(

Disappointing. I must say, I am thoroughly disappointed. I subscribed to Peacock for one month to watch the Olympics and Super Bowl and figured, since I already paid for it, I would check out some WWE programming in its entirety. Until now, I had relied on this podcast and highlights to remain a casual follower of wrestling. Given Wilbourn’s enthusiastic rundown of the matches, the Dadley Boyz balanced, if not quite cynical commentary, along with Andy and Phil’s more optimistic analysis, I assumed I would find some joy in watching what is weekly reported to be a slightly interesting train wreck. And hence my disappointment. The WWE will never be as entertaining as this podcast, so skip the tv time and enjoy the melodious voices of the crew manning the best podcast in the business. For my 5 Star Review Review, (apologies if this has been done) on the heels of the breakup of Nicki ASH and Rhea, could you review when Rosey of 3-minute warning was repackaged as a superhero with the Hurricane? Cheers!

Once a good app ruined by last update. The latest update has made this app nearly unusable. It no longer can queue podcast episodes without… duplicating episodes, adding every episode to the end of the playlist (which can add hundreds of old episodes to your playlist). If you come out of the app it will forget which episode you were last listening to so you have to re queue your list. Not impacted by the new version but now annoying is the sleep timer only going up to 1 hour, now the queue is not working properly this means you can’t rely on the app stopping once your queued episodes have been played so I have woken up many a morning for it to be playing 2 year old episodes it for some reason it has decided to play (without downloading). I have often had an issue with a podcast re downloading old played episodes but the individual podcasts have often taken the blame for this… however the vast errors from the latest update makes listening to podcasts painful. I hope they will fix it soon but given it’s been a few months so far and many other reviews stating the above I am doubtful which is a great shame.

Joybells. I am stoked to come across these guys. In May 2018 I was in a mountain bike race and going down a hill my front wheel apparently hit a stone abruptly and I was sent head first over my bars suffering severe brain trauma 😭. Fortunately I survived we moved location got acreage so I could get my beautiful girl Lowla, a stunning 16.2 TB mare who was too slow for racing (thankfully). So we are on a journey together. Back in the UK I was fortunate to be able to ride some great horses learning loads and still learning but coming across these guys is BRILLIANT, going through brain trauma for me has meant I need recapping on some past memories, I am loving being on this journey and am so very grateful to come across the 2 DANS 😘.

Inspired. Having been struck down by COVID for the first time this week and being a woman in my 50s - I am grateful for Amy’s podcast (recent 2 episodes) where I gave myself permission to stop, have a cuppa and just ‘be’ whilst I listened to these shows. Having had a difficult few years, I feel I’ve had an awakening and need to just hold on to this self awakening and how I can take this self discovery to tomorrow and my life moving forward. Look forward to the next episodes & embedding new habits to build on new self care routines! Thanks jenny

Great app, only need one more thing. Can’t really fault the app, does everything it says it will do and the content is great. The only thing I would like to see added is when you find a station you like and want to download the episodes available, rather than downloading them all individually, have a download all option. It’s only a minor thing, however, when a station could potentially have 50 or more episodes available, it is very tedious sitting there going through each of them to download.

Impressed. To keep this short, I’m pretty well read in horror as well as philosophical literature and lit generally. The quality of Jeff’s work truly floored me and is the first writer or podcast I’ve actually signed up to. He has inspired me to commit to supporting his writing. He reads his own writing to you which is so good, so nuanced that it felt like I was getting 2 things for the price of one. His work really stretches the containment of the horror genre. It has many elements of social critique, philosophy and the many “angles on the human condition” that “literature” lays claim to. The guy is not a narcissist despite his talent and has lived a real life. It annoys me that he lives so far away from me, it would be good to meet him and ask a few questions. All up, well worth patronage.

Thank you.. I have finally found two wonderful people (and they are Drs), who truly understand the emotional struggle to lose weight, with gentle, kind and evidence based information. They truly understand how hard losing weight and becoming more healthy can be, not to mention working and caring for family at the same time. You are so generous sharing with us your own stories of the challenge to lose weight and become more healthy, including the emotional component. I now feel more confident that I can make the changes in my life towards improving my health, and facing this life long struggle head on. I feel so blessed to have found Real Life Medicine and Dr’s Lucy and Mary are absolute angels.

Non User Friendly. The array of shows is great, but this app is, quite simply, a mess. There's no other way to put it. The 'Up Next' queue cannot be easily edited, and navigating your 'Saved' and 'Recently Played' is next to impossible. In the next iOS update, I have some ideas that would certainly help make the interface more easily navigable. I would recommend basing the Podcasts app more closely off of the Music app, which has a much more user friendly interface. Having shows set up more like albums, with options to sort by first to last released or vice versa? Amazing. The ability to clear the 'Up Next' list, and an option to keep or clear 'Up Next' when changing the show or episode? Having easy ways to add episodes or whole shows? Astounding. A 'Recently Played', (preferably above the 'Up Next',) with small logos and an easy way to clear it to declutter? Fantastic. Having a 'Saved' where you can easily see the logos and titles of all your shows? Beautiful. Apple, please, do not neglect this app in your next update. Please, make it user friendly and easy to navigate. For our sanity, and gratitude. Thank you.

Unbelievably Terrible. Of all the apps that Apple develops, it seems as though a podcast app should be one of the easiest to get right. Apparently not. This app’s interface is poorly laid-out, making it a chore to do something as simple as find a downloaded episode, with multiple subsections and over-large thumbnails. That’s if the episode downloads in the first place. I found that if I start to download an episode and leave the current screen, the download stops altogether. Even if I wait on the screen to let it complete, the episode sometimes can’t be found in the “downloads” section and needs to be downloaded again. Integration with Apple Watch is also incredibly frustrating. I want to sync specific episodes of a show with my watch immediately, not just a selection of unplayed episodes when the watch is charging.

Constant technical issues. Obviously I love the amount of free content I get with the app. But the same technical issues have been unresolved since I start using it couple of years ago. The app doesn’t always remember where you finished in podcast. Sometimes it restarts completely different podcast. Many times it shows episodes as unavailable, when you restart them. It doesn’t show last played so you can loose episode that you were half way through. There is many more annoying issues like that. And friends that use the app are having exactly the same issues. It seems like simple straightforward app, so I am not sure why this goes unresolved.

The proof - the best !. Have been listening to this show for over a year - I really love Simon’s nuanced questions & comments and the fact that he has a balanced approach - I trust him & have a lot of faith in his work for better well being for people & the environment. My GP recommend the show to me & I have been tuned in since. Although I don’t do wholly plant based I have definitely cut down on animal protein & feel better for it. I am female in my 60’s & this program is my favourite podcast - always interesting & evidence based. Love that it’s an Australian helping leading the way & advocate here 🙏🏻

Good thing is that this comes with the phone - bad thing user interface.. The podcast app from apple is good because it works most of the time - both for audio only and audio video. The bad thing is that there is no good sleep function on it. Also the inconsistency of how podcasts play - EG you have unplayed podcasts but if you have the podcast set to play newest to oldest and say you chose to play the third most recent. Then when that finishes and you have no more older podcasts that are unplayed it will still ignore the newer unplayed and just start going backwards and playing one’s you have already heard There are so many other things I dislike about this that I will be going through the hurt of changing all my podcasts over to another player

Brothers from other Mothers. CHUT CHUT. Thanks so much for what you do! I’ve been listening since 2019 I was recommended to you by Kessel Run hair in Adelaide Australia and I’ve been hooked ever since. I work out in the community in aged care helping older people with chores so I’m on the road for about 2 or 3 hours so I always listen to you guys and when I’m not on the road I listen to your shows on my Bluetooth headphones I reckon I’m a 1/3 way through all your shows, the best being the current aftershows from season 1 mando up until all the ones now, I also love all the commentary you do on all the films and I am recently going back to visit the clone wars. And I love Paul Bateman and Kyle Newman when they are on RFR You have become family to me as nobody else in my life gets into STARWARS like I do I have a STARWARS man cave and I’ve and breathe it so thanks for being in my life. I love you guys FROM STEVE FORTUNE DOWN UNDER SEE YOU AROUND KIDS

Stocktip Jay. Love the show. Big fan from down under. Can you do a podcast whilst golfing with microphones? Maybe a live stream. it would be great! (Just don’t break Bradys driver this time). My only feedback is don’t cater to the negative reviews. If you want to do a whole episode on pickleball do it! Golf! Semen retention 😆 can’t wait to hear Grenier on the podcast. Ask him how it felt to get the Paul walker award for ocean awareness. Enjoy (ps come to Australia already and ask Mark Wahlberg to supply the jet).

Investigation. The researcher has followed through with investigating that is applauded. As a female retired criminal lawyer in Australia the only advice I could pass on is when questioning people relax and ensure the recipient that’s it’s fine to for them to talk to you and ask one question at a time. Don’t lead the potential witness. Other than that you are doing a fantastic service to the community. 5 stars Kerry Salinger formerly Kerry Smith Douglas

Thank you so much. I have been following you for a few years now. I cannot thank you enough for getting me through some tough times with your approach with EFT Tapping. A friend of mine is in emergency tonight waiting on a MRI scan to find out why she has been experiencing since her daughter was born 5 weeks ago. She is afraid and I’m not close at all so cannot be there to support her. I was offering her thoughts about what she could do to calm her while she waits and found myself tapping my thumb with each of my fingers! Ah, I thought Nicole! Have sent her links to you from your website, thank you so much for making it easy to share your content especially when you’re not sure what media people follow. I also did a session on manifesting generators afterwards. Thanks again for being you 🙏🏼

Stars please. It would be great if the app had the additional feature of being able to ‘star’ episodes as well as saving episodes. I often find myself saving episodes I wish to listen to at a later date, but then I don’t have a way of highlighting those I have loved and would come back to again at another time. A ‘star’ icon or an ability to create folders of episodes based on topic would be am amazing and grateful addition.

Data to listen?. Loved this app, use it to listen to all types of podcasts. Problem started about a week ago - I now have to have my data turned on (or connected to wifi) to listen to downloaded episodes when I never had to do this before? Really becoming annoying - especially when travelling, I don’t always have wifi connection and I occasionally turn off data to save my battery. Now I go without my shows for a couple weeks 😒

Amazing podcast!. I love this podcast! Dylan is such a lovely and down to earth guy who you can tell is genuinely interested in helping people. His passion and enthusiasm for business, life and all things self development is infectious! I’ve genuinely learnt a lot from listening and it has brightened my day on several occasions. Informative, entertaining and inspiring. I highly recommend this amazing podcast!

Gambling advertisement disappointment. Hi Apple, I love your podcast app, but I have noticed a recent uptick in gambling advertisements before every podcast. This is really insidious. So many people around Australia struggle with gambling addiction, and I can see why - there’s just no refuge from it. Gambling has no benefit to our society, and really does tear lives apart. Having sportsbet ads before sports podcasts only helps to normalise this for young people, and they are a demographic that’s becoming more and more affected. I know gambling ads are everywhere in Australia, but I would love to see Apple lead by example on this one!

Why is it so hard to listen twice.. I’m trying to listen to a series of podcasts a second time, but it’s just impossible. Because the app knows I’ve already played each episode, it constantly jumps to the most recent episode or to another episode of a totally different podcast at the end of each that I to listen to. This then causes me to have to scroll back through ALL the episodes to find where I was up to (which is impossible if I didn’t note the name of the podcast). The app is good because of the material available, but it’s not intuitive to use.

Don’t believe the rating score. This podcast app appears to have a very high rating, but if you read the reviews you’ll see a lot of 5 stars from people who think they are reviewing the podcast they were listening too - not the actual app. That’s because Apple r tricked them with a popup mid-stream. My major beef with this product is that it keeps downloading old episodes from years ago, seemingly at random. This has been a known bug since forever and they still haven’t fixed it. If you add a new show it will often download all the episodes for that show from the last couple of years. You then have to remove them one by one🤦🏻‍♂️

Best comic book show around. I’ve been listening to this show and amazed at just the monster level of entertainment it provides week to week. Fantastic variety, good humour and spot on reviews. Even with the heavy amount of entertainment based podcasts this show is a standout. Dave and Rich have been in red hot form and at least give one show a listen. Every show is as epic as Physical Graffiti.

Just ok, not great.. On my jabra elite active 45e earbuds the skip (ahead) buttons skip the entire current podcast & starts the next podcast instead of 15 or 30 second increments of the current podcast playing. Not sure if it’s an issue with the Enid’s or the Podcast app though. : ( That aside the podcast app itself is in dire need of a redesign the layout & navigation is so stuffy, convoluted & not intuitive in its design at all. This has to be said as I’m sure I’m echoing many others in the UI design that needs a total overhaul.

I use this all the time and I love it so much.. It’s a fantastic app for storing all my podcasts. The only thing I don’t like is that you have no choice but to start at the most recent and listen to the podcasts backwards. This is okay unless there is a few stories that are connected and are grouped in a series of two or three . You can only start art the end if you are not able to get to the controls, ie: if you are wanting to lay down and let it run.

Needs a queue page. This app looks very nice but it’s functionally frustrating. Requires too many clicks to add to the queue. Should have a swipe option to add something to the queue. It should have a separate page to view the queue rather than a little scroll up from the bottom of the page. On the queue page, you should be able to view which episodes are downloaded and which episodes are being streamed etc. Also there’s a bug with the current scroll-down queue where a bunch of random episodes are added to the bottom of the queue which don’t have the option of swiping and deleting or rearranging.

Time to put the ego aside!. Just listened to the episode with Julian Spence, absolutely loved it, it was so good to hear Julian’s emotional side and his passion for the sport we all love so much. I definitely got a lot out of this, made me think about why I try and kick down the last km in an easy work out, and really had me looking at some of the bad habits I’ve developed possibly just to look good on Strava. I look forward to listening to some more episodes and picking up more tips from some top athletes. Well done on a top quality podcast!

Saved and downloaded episodes not loading. Been using this app for years without hassle. After the most recent update I am finding that saved episodes will hardly load, and when they do the stop and start. Spent hours downloading saved episodes over wifi which seems to resolve the loading and pausing issue but now all of the “ recent downloads “ have disappeared and I’m now back to where I started last week with saved episodes not loading quick enough. No it’s not my internet connection, not it’s not my mobile data. I have tried several wifi connections and tested download rates, 4G and 5G mobile connections have been fired and still having the same issues… any recommendations? This is 100% from the most recent update.

Broken. Ever since iOS 14 the app has been broken. If you’re not following a podcast and you listen to an episode? It’ll forget your place once you close the app (or more likely when your phone force closes it) it doesn’t even come up in your recently listened. Speaking of force closing, it shuts down the podcast app so quickly that if I stop listening for what feels like any amount of time it needs to reopen the app. Ofcourse it won’t automatically play the last podcast I listened to! It’ll try and cue another podcast that’s been released since I listened last. The app ust to work perfectly fine but now it’s a broken mess and I would suggest you listen to podcasts on another app for the foreseeable future.

Paddy. Yes I do enjoy podcasts to a certain extent ,with the following observations I realise that its difficult to be all things to all people I have been listening to podcasts etc for app 5 years and have accessed some brilliant material on them and of course since the numbers have increased its getting evermore difficult to access ones favourite podcasts so if I could make the following suggestions 1 Allow the listener to set up a favourites list of podcasters that they wish to listen to 2 Stop other podcasts jumping one’s queue of listening material that is so frustrating, as generally when driving etc one wishes to continue listening to a podcast, simple like listening to a book in chapters 3 Instead of listen next. Set up listen to episodes in sequence. Make it safer for everybody Let the listener make some of their own decisions!! Keep up your good work

Every parent needs to listen to this podcast!. Fantastic & so relatable! Loved hearing the stories, they are so raw and emotional. And real life! Not everything in life is rainbows. It’s validating to hear that others have similar struggles, as we are all walking our own parenting path but we need to walk alongside each other to support each other, rather than walk alone. Well done Claire!

Ok app could be better. please add the ability to like a podcast like or dislike we even just like. there’s a lot of content online in Podcasts and you can listen to things and just waste time but if you find something has really valuable content, it should be recognise for the contributor I find this app clunky and confusing as to find the most recent podcast doesn’t seem to recommend the things you like listening to always mixes up the order of everything also, it’s very hard to go from the show to the notes it’s sort of does it inside the app and it’s not really an easy way to see extra data related to the podcast I use this app a lot, but only because I’m worked out a way to trick the auto populating display of the order of the podcast

My morning inspiration. Tory’s powerful podcast stories are what I like to call my “morning gem” or my late night “treat”. I listen, I absorb, I’m inspired and I actually press pause to have to take notes, write a quote or simply just exhale. Tory is genuine and her chats with her guests are simply perfect yet all so different. I wait each week for the next … hoping they would come even more often. Thank you Tory & all your beautiful connections . Jackie

Keeps restarting episodes from the beginning. Ever since the last major iOS update my podcasts app keeps restarting episodes from the beginning instead of resuming where I left them. It shows the progress before I click play so it knows where it should resume but it doesn't - it resets to 00:00. Searching for cause and solution on google show about 50,000,000 matching results dating back as far as 2018 so this doesn't seem to be a new bug. Hard to believe such a simple function can remain broken for this long from a company as allegedly proficient as Apple.

The best. I’m sorry but how could anyone possibly think of giving this app a bad review . The only word I could think of is RUDE and disrespectful. People have worked hard to create and build this App and it’s podcasts It can glitch and make mistakes just like If you made a mistake and your friends blew up and said Worst App Ever you would feel sad right One bad review could break a hard worker or podcaster’s heart so try and see that these podcasts could change your life

Emma’s podcast = reason for existence. Omg I cannot even explain how much I love this podcast. There are some days I will just listen to Emma’s podcast all day, and they always motivate me and make feel inspired. Emma is so relatable, I think we would get along really well if we were friends. I know Emma can’t see or hear me but she truly is my best friend, everyone needs someone like Emma in their lives! PERIOD. Zosha :)

The perfect friends to get you through. Absolutely obsessed with this podcast. It’s just what you need when you’re on your conception “journey” *spoken in American accent*. Gabby and Emma feel like friends, they’re so relatable and funny, and the podcast is full of super informative goodies. A podcast to help you feel in control, proactive, knowledgeable and always helping you laugh (and cry!) along the way. Thank you for all you do girls 🙏🏼♥️

Review. Hi, I would like to see more podcast where people dictate novels or series, like dictating the book series ‘Skullduggery Pleasant’ or the TV series ‘Only Murders In The Building’. I would also definitely recommend getting more podcasts about world history, anatomy of humans, and more Dino\animal scientific knowledge discovery’s. Over all, i really like your app, it is a nice way of seeing things in a different perspective than just reading something in a news article or book.

Long Term Property Interest. Love the podcast. I started investing in 1989 as a 21year old. Whilst things have not always gone according to plan in my life, real estate has been the one constant that has been good to me and my family. After losing everything 13 years ago real estate has been the thing that has got us back on track. This new era of property investing has been a challenge but rewarding. I rated the show 5 stars as it gives investing a true understand of the principles of real estate but also helps my generation to match it with the new savvy investor. Keep up the great work. Bronwyn

Overall good, a few problems. Since an update a year or so ago you can no longer order from newest to oldest, but play from oldest to newest. There is also no ‘jump to bottom’ button. This is really annoying because in podcasts with many episodes you can be endlessly scrolling. My other issue is the ads are way too loud. I’ll have the podcast at one volume, then ads come on and I have to adjust the volume back and forth. In particular it’s annoying on the sleep timer. If not otherwise, I wish when the app was on sleep timer it automatically lowered the volume of the ads so they didn’t wake you up as you’re just getting to sleep.

Update seems buggy. Since I updated my phone the podcast app seems buggy. If I follow a show, only the downloaded episodes appear when I go to that show and I have to search to find individual episodes. For some shows, the episodes don’t appear in the recently listened list, so if I close the app when half way through an episode I have to search for the ep again and it often hasn’t saved where I am up to

Fine, to mediocre, to absolutely unusable. Am I the last one using this app? After more than half a decade of using it across my last three iPhones, I had been pushing through the randomly missing episodes it couldn’t see, and then the 5-10 second lag between the UI controls vs what it was actually doing on the audio, to now the crippling part: it just eats all of my mobile data plan, ALL the time. The “Mobile Downloads: always” setting has no influence whatsoever on behaviour - I don’t think I’ve seen a download prompt since at least November - it just downloads every episode of every show, all the time. For the last two months I have experimented with various combinations of app settings. The only thing that prevents it eating my data is “block downloads over mobile”, but then of course I can’t listen to anything unless I temporarily enable it. At which point, all my data disappears. It just ate 40GB of data in 3 days, after I foolishly left it on. I’m done. Thanks for all the solid service over all those earlier years. When they finally let you retire, I hope you’re in app heaven, happily bounding across the celestial networks, every instance of you fully saturating OM4 fibres

Recent Updates are more oops than yays!. I love this app and listen to podcasts daily. The last couple of updates however, have seen the annoyingly app slow on the uptake, or confused about what show it is playing and which cover matches which podcast. This is sooo frustrating. Particularly since in its confusion, all that podcast’s settings are greyed out (sleep timer for instance) until the app wakes up (pun intended) to its own confusion and rights itself, sometimes ages later. Yawn! I have found the hiccups from these last updates so frustrating I’ve actually considered ditching the app. But knowing how awesome it has been in the past, I’m hanging in there, in hope. After all, we all have bad months.

I'd give half a star if I could!. What's this Apple? This doesn't feel it's an Apple produced app at all. I've been doing my best to find a pattern to follow in using the app but everytime I open this app it has a surprise for me! The component placement differs from a podcast to another! I have to dig in to find my favorites. I think the navigation in such a simple app should be a breeze but here's a nightmare unfortunately. The other glitch I was experiencing this morning was I tapped on a podcast by accident and even after I paused it - still trying to figure out how I can stop a show - it stayed in the bottom section and gestures like holding and draging the bar down didn't work at all. Given podcast is getting very popular nowadays Apple has to level the game up!

Fantastic content!. I’m a mum of an 11 year old non binary yellow ladybug and this is a fantastic resource already for anyone I know that we have to come in contact with. We have started a new school and they have been amazing, however content like this from real people is invaluable even for me being mum! I’ll be referring this on to lots of people! Thanks for your podcast! Xx

Would be nice if it had a bookmark feature. I was running on the treadmill this morning while listening to a podcast when I came across a quote that I really didn’t want to miss but I couldn’t find any immediately obvious way to make a note of it in-app. In the end I had to stop running (I was set to 12 km/h and no way was I going to operate my phone while running at that speed) just so I could jot down some notes before I forgot - and consequently lost my running rhythm, not to mention my body didn’t feel so good getting jolted from 12 to 0 in an instant. Not my best workout experience, Apple.

Great, but lots of room for improvement. I use this app daily, and have a lot of appreciation for it and the amazing content. However, I often feel frustrated that some key features are missing, such as: to keep list of recent searches, to keep current podcast in the play (often random recommended podcasts replace the podcast I selected and am currently listening to). To be able to create different folders / playlists for favourite podcasts. To discover other people’s playlist of podcasts according to a theme. To rate podcast episodes. Thank you.

Used to work well. Not any longer 😩. Pre the most recent software updates I was able to bring up a podcast and start listening, when it was finished it used to automatically start the next podcast in the series or my favourites…. However since I installed the latest Apple version, my podcast app no longer automatically moves on to the next podcast session or next podcast in my favourites - very annoying when I want to listen to multiple podcasts one after another at night. I have to restart a new podcast once one has finished. Very annoying change. Please fix the problem

Queuing doesn’t work anymore. Since the latest update the play last/ play next features are constantly being disrupted and I have no idea why. A random episode is constantly selected to play next which I didn’t queue but when I try to play another episode at will ask me if I want to clear my queue of several podcasts. What’s the point of a queue I can’t access and that doesn’t play automatically? Used to be able to press play and leave for long drives. It’s now really fiddely and will have to change apps if this doesn’t get fixed

Didache. It grieves my spirit and I’m sure the Lord’s heart to hear someone unqualified to attempt to give translation of a holy teaching. For instance, “he will have no enemies” - in revelation the enemies of our soul are in fact our thoughts. The pastor is interpreting this scripture carnally which is an abomination to Yahweh. An enemy is every thought that tries to exalt itself against the character and thoughts of the Father. So to have no enemies during fasting means that your mind is able to be hedged up in truth and you are able to catch and turn away the enemies of our mind. To teach the Bible carnally is to be a Pharisee. Our Lord called them a brood of vipers. I would love to hear a podcast which purely reads the Didache without any attempted translation.

Makes listening to podcasts a frustrating experience. This already flawed and buggy app just keeps getting worse. Previous updates to the interface have made it incredibly frustrating to navigate and execute even extremely simple functions. The play next queue that was already unstable (would sometimes clear the list randomly) has now become useless as it doesn’t save anything once you exit the app. Playback of the current podcast also doesn’t resume from the correct spot when you exit the app and return at a later time. Honestly a terrible user experience..

Constantly tells me podcast are unavailable. Constantly tells me podcast are unavailable

Good App But Missing A Few Features. Decent app but missing several features including more playback speed options, and volume boosting/silence trimming seen in several 3rd-party podcast apps - which I’ve asked Apple to consider implementing for several years.

Horrible after iOS 15 Update!. I have actually switched my podcast player after 10+ years of using this one. It deletes my play next list every time I close the app. What is the point of listening to podcasts while you drive if you have to open the app after every episode to find the next one. No thank you! So disappointed.

Might just be the worst podcast app out there. Unusual Apple miss. Awful search ability. Doesn’t remember what you were listening too. Remember a specific episode within a show? I can’t even figure out how to search within a specific podcast channel. Overcast and Spotify are significantly better.

I want to like this.. Considering some of the advantages of the integration of Apple podcasts with things like Siri and Apple TV, Apple Watch, Mac etc. I really want to use Apple podcasts. But it’s a nightmare of usability. Sticking with Pocketcasts for the foreseeable future.

Garbage. There is no option to mark all episodes as unplayed. I listen to a podcast constantly and wanted to restart the catalogue again. Since there is no way to mark all episodes as unplayed I thought I could unfollow and re-follow to reset my listening history. It worked, but It also removed all saved episodes that were favourites of mine.

doesnt auto play. doesnt play chronologically. it’s a podcast. it’s common sense you want to play chronologically. Podcast Product Manager is way below the bar of Apple Standards

InnerFrench is amazing!!. It’s simplicity helps me a lot and I could learn tons of words and expressions in French and taught me how to use simple and very useful structures to be able to communicate in French and manage the conversation. Big shout out to Hugo Cotton and the crew of InnerFrench!

Can’t download episodes. Used to work fine, but for the last few weeks downloads stall and don’t complete. Should take a few seconds but I’m waiting half an hour and downloads aren’t done. Feels like a deliberate bug to force users to use cellular data.

Embarrassingly bad from Apple. Most of the time podcasts do not load or take multiple tries to start up. If you save a show to your personal library, it automatically downloads every subsequent podcast that is released from that show, then forcing the user to go through and delete each downloaded episode they’ve listened to so they don’t lose the storage on their phone.

Apple Manipulating App Reviews. The podcast app is garbage. Apple is now prompting users for reviews that users believe are reviews of the podcast they are listening to buy instead it’s a review of the app. This app was rated one star prior to this manipulation because it is a terrible podcast app. It lacks basic functionality, it’s UI is confusing, things are hard to fine, UX make the app seem broken. Of course this review will likely be hidden from view so no one buy Apple employees will see it (shame on you). I hope at least the score counts.

I mean it’s decent. Works great with the watch

😳. A little busy & not easy to navigate.

Worst Podcast App. This app is a mess. You will never be able to listen to a series of podcasts as it will randomly jump to different podcasts in your library. Played episodes will become I unplayed. Finding a a previous episode is not easy. Basically a hot mess.

School for greatnesss. I really enjoy listening to Lewis’s podcasts. I recommend listening.

Bad. Bad

Streaming awesome. Downloading still at a 90%-failure rate. Apple should stop lying in year 19 since Apple Podcasts' launched. I do love Apple Music & Fitness being mixed in; for subscribers, as podcasts. Only cause Apple Music design/cache will forever be a mess. I feel for those with old phones & bad mobile networks. And, having to lie as an Apple bot. Streaming good, if u have a newish phone & lots of mobile data.

Great. Awesome

I can’t believe I’ve used this app for 12+ years. It’s a mess. The thing that’s making me looking into a new app is now the time skip buttons don’t work 80% of the time

Very good app. Seems to be the best app to get podcasts. Also the play features work seamlessly with your vehicle controls

Challenging to use. It plays podcasts, but not always the episode you want. Good luck relistening to a series! Good luck finding that single episode you downloaded from a series you don’t subscribe to! Developers not very responsive, unfortunately.

Terrible. This has to be one of Apple's worst apps. Needs to be redesigned from the ground up. Please

How can this app be this bad. It’s been yeeeeears since this app was released and to this day it still glitch. Pls make a subscription model and take my money and give a working app that plays the episodes I want

“Not Interested” button!. Honestly, not many complaints here but o do have a request. I think we need a not interested button. Sometimes, I’m just not interested in episodes of shows I follow, I would love to say not interested instead of mark as played, idk if this is how it works but basically I don’t want the numbers to show I listened when I didn’t.

Bold through & through. A podcast with tooth ! All things art , Bold School has reinvigorated my studio time . Not to mention my days at work , binging every single podcast. I am now a member of the bold school community . It has sparked my love of learning again & my art is the beneficiary. Thank you Charla and all the Bold School & the Bold Artist Podcast Team. Jay Puhr www.jaypuhrart.ca

Good conversation. It makes people realize everybody is human and has same type of thoughts, no matter how rich, and that we live in place and time, where it is possible to create wealth and share it.

I love Lindsey graham. He is the best podcaster ever

Speed & Kolor. Great conversations with folks in the industry. 🇨🇦

Good listening.. Like the mysterious episodes. Yup!

Update is awful. Why not leave well enough, alone? The functionality was diminished in latest update and the control from the apple watch is terrible.

Awmazing. The best app of podcast ive ever seen. #1

Wow. Bro, so cool!!

Now that Siri is mostly fixed…. … this seems to be the only app left on the roster that actively gets worse with every major release

Meh 🫤. It won’t let me play some of the podcasts(about 50% of them) it’s really good when you find a good podcast it allowed you to play

Good podcasts app. The app itself is great,I just wish there would be a better way to listen to podcasts on a PC than iTunes.

Love the variety. I found some amazing podcasts -everything from National Geographic to True Crime to travel podcasts.

It’s the best thing to do when you are dored. 5 stay

Sporadic. Rarely syncs playback between mac and iphone. Does not download podcasts I follow without the app being opened. Will not automatically download followed episodes if downloaded first on mac. Often create a duplicate episode when downloading/downloaded many episodes on iphone. Does not notify of new episodes unless app opened.

Great hockey talk. Fun, informative and entertaining. They don’t take themselves too seriously. Probably too much Leafs content but that’s the way she goes.

Not user friendly. I’ve tried to love this app and it continues to disappoint. There are many other podcast apps that are easier to use. This Apple Podcast App is difficult to use: can not easily organize a playlist, difficult to find podcasts that I follow, doesn’t clear “deleted” episodes from your playlist which causes the entire list to stop playing. This app is a sub par design compared to all other apps available.

Worst inhouse app. by a mile

Deletes downloads. After you play a downloaded episode, the download is deleted

Exploring. First time to use it and still navigating it

Show with Julie. Great show, I am so excited to learn everything I need to learn!

What is going on with the app???. I have been using this app for about 5 years. After an update about 6 months ago it is continuously crashing. Episodes I have already listened to will pop back up as unplayed, episodes I’ve already downloaded will show they haven’t been and won’t play if I’m not on wifi, up next deletes, app crashes.. very frustrating!

Tools for Awakening. Thank you for the guidance back to simplicity..Honesty.. Pause.. Trust.. all that I long for is already here underneath the “stuff” . Xo Jen

Nobody likes this app.. It’s not good. It’s not even decent. I’d say you should throw it all in the trash and start from scratch.

Good app but not that great lately. It’s been a week now, but it’s getting really annoying. I play a podcast, and when I want to listen to another one, it plays the previous one that I listened to. (Like, I’m listening to a french podcast about Harry Potter, one podcast equals a chapter.) And if I’m listening to HP3. Chapter, 4, once I’m done and want to move on to chapter 5, it still plays the 4th. Even if I pick a random chapter. My solution is to delete and reinstall the app every time I want to listen to a different episode.

Horribly frustrating to use. The UI is a cluttered mess. Trying to finish listening to a show that you are not subscribed to is impossible. Older episodes are buried. Coming from Pocketcast on Android…. That app was perfect. This app sucks the big one. Apple can and should do better.

Love each day. Listening to you two ladies who I have watched and love on screen and off. The struggles you face everyday and endure. Love each day and so it is.❤️❤️❤️

Tesla for Good behavior?. I am 48 and have never been to jail. Could you ask Elon M. next time he is in if he would consider creating a plan for every American. Make it to 50 without being convicted of any crime, and get a free Tesla! Maybe something more practical like trade in ten gas powered cars for a new Tesla! Graduate from high school, spend 8760 hours in community service, get a new Tesla! Incentives. Some of us will drive gas powered vehicles for the next thirty years because we may not be able to afford a new Tesla! Maybe state lottery, casinos, politicians should come up with there own plans to get Teslas in the hands of those who may never get one because they can’t afford it. All Veterans, get a new Tesla! Dads and moms that catch up on child support, get a new Tesla! The bottleneck in turning the American car owner into a sustainable electric car owner is the poor and the youth. There are many more of us that can’t afford one than anyone else on the planet. Give us access to a cleaner way to drive and we will. If a majority of the planet can’t afford a cleaner vehicle with cash, let them pay in other ways. Stop putting money ahead of human lives. I am 48 never been to jail. I think 50 years no jail time is a good reason to give someone a new Tesla! Thx let me know. Lol

Ruined Functionality. Whoever is in charge of UI functionality and updates needs a time out. This app was never the most efficient or streamlined, now it is near impossible to navigate and so frustrating to use that I honestly barely listen anymore. Some highlights of the nonsense: - You don’t get your podcasts In order, no matter how you manipulate the settings. Want to listen to the next UNLISTENED-TO pod in your favorite show? NOPE, straight to the last one released. No soup for you. - Most Recent and Latest Episodes. Can someone, anyone, riddle me the difference there? Technically you are saying the same thing and giving me different things within each. Eat a Snickers, Apple. - Speaking of which, condense all the things I follow (i.e. actually want to hear) AND PUT THOSE THINGS IN A LIST WHEREIN I CAN LISTEN AND DELETE WHEN DONE IF I SO CHOOSE. I mean, isn’t that the point? - While I’m at it, make a setting wherein I can choose not to get all of the “Introducing Xyz” 2-minute trailers for podcasts associated with the ones I follow. We get it, Payne Lindsay released another pod on his network. Don’t care. Why, Apple? Why?

Project ME with Tiffany Carter. There are no mistakes in life… I stumbled upon Tiff Carter on TikTok watching a couple of videos immediately her vibe attracted me right into the tribe! Watching the content made me look further into other things she offered, thus the podcast … I have binged a lot of episodes… I have downloaded the manifestation cards (in fact I have them printed on the top quality card stock and laminated them ,I pull one out every day and read it out loud to myself several times a day ) The mindset shifts speak to me, makes sense and are applicable. The podcast always has great nuggets that I can apply to my own life etc. I would say that in a short amount of time that I’ve been listening, there have been major changes in my business, finances, and in my way of thinking.! I’m so happy I found this and I listen on my way to work or with a client who happens to be laying on my table… I am an aesthetician … always sharing with other women ! What is so interesting is that we are complete opposites and that is what attracts people to people because I am incredibly organized,OCD lol & could care less about office supplies… 5 stars … Thank you Tiffany A dedicated supporter Michelle Collins

Gorgeous Genuine Glowing God-Sent Goddess. Just had to give her this exaggeratively authentic and respective opinion, from my standpoint anyways; Thank You Candace for your absolute brilliance and bravery in just about everything you do… I could almost go on to literally write endless praises and appreciations I have for you, but, semi-luckily (not sure if I’m making sense here 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️🙄) I’m a little too lazy and distracted with other things in my to-do’s right now… HOWEVER, I HAD to wish you a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAYS eve(😋)!!! To You and Your Mother, for Accomplishing the Absolute Greatest, Most-Challenging and Rewarding JOB in the phase of Humanity; Motherhood!! I may not be a mother myself yet, but I do not have a shred of doubt, motherhood renders the most Potent Love humanly possible in guiding new life into our world. There are NOT ENOUGH Thank You’s for me to praise our Lord with for the phenomenal mother He had Blessed me with. My mom is just The Awesomest!! ✊🏼😎 AND I thank Your mother (and father) for contributing and raising the superb offspring that you are 🙏🏼😊❤️✝️❤️☺️🙏🏼 Wish you the ultimate of successes in the upbringing of your personal blessings! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Ok, I need to cut-it-out already and get to my do-diligence for the day… Thank You and GOD BLESS you Candace - Lorian 🙏🏼☺️❤️

User Unfriendly. It took me a bit to figure out all the new ins and outs when Apple inexplicably changed the functionality of the entire app. However, the thing that annoys me the most is how I can’t easily access the episodes I want to listen to next. When a creator stores their older seasons behind a subscription wall they are no longer marked as played. Even though I have already listened to them. So now when I open a podcast it displays season one episodes instead of the season I’m actually on. I tried to figure out a way to hide the episodes the same way I can hide the ones marked as played, but Apple has not created a way to simply do this. Instead of opening a podcast and just hitting the next episode I’m on, I have to open the whole library of every episode on the podcast and scroll till I find it. The only way of managing this is to change the order of the podcast to “Newest to Oldest”. This is not a great fix for podcasts I want to listen to in sequential order.

I never knew I could love B-roll commentary so much.. Out of all the true come podcast I listen to, Date With Dateline is the only one my husband can listen to with me. He is not a true crime aficionado like I am, but y’all’s podcast is interesting and funny enough that I don’t have to turn it off every time he walks in a room while I’m listening. I stumbled upon this podcast last year while listening to an episode of TCO and have never looked back (and of course still love TCO because I love you all)! I am a lover of puns, eye-rolls, lean kings, rule of 3, irony, and cats so I feel like I see a bit of myself in both of you. I thank you both for giving me something to look forward to every week and hope to have an episode dedicated to myself and another Patronus one day! I am an open book if you ever need something to relate an episode to.

App is broken since iOS 15 update. This app worked great before iOS 15 update, but now is the most annoyingly frustrating piece of garbage. I constantly have to double check that podcasts are downloaded because they will randomly stop downloading. After creating a playlist of the days podcasts, if I stop listening for any length of time it will reset so that I don’t have anything coming up next…until I add something new to the playlist, at which point everything comes back including things I’ve already listened to trying to replay. I also have to make sure that the app doesn’t register the 10 seconds I listened to of a podcast as listening to the podcast fully, putting it on the listened/ready to delete list before I’ve actually listened to the podcast. Hope apple fixes this buggy app, since they broke it in the first place! Edit: new bug as of Feb 2022. I keep finding that episodes of podcasts I have downloaded are no longer downloaded. They were downloaded, they aren’t played, and they are still in my most recent list but suddenly poof! They are gone!

It would be a good app if it actually worked. It’s always a gamble, whether or not this app will actually play the podcast I’m trying to listen to, just stay silent, or pop up an error message (something went wrong, please try again later). 50% of the time it just doesn’t work (even if I quit and restart). When it works, I have to wait up to a minute or more for the podcast to play, and it usually takes more than one try. It doesn’t matter if the episode is downloaded or not, or if it’s premium content. What the heck is going on? Also, why can’t I create my own playlist of episodes so they can come up in the order I’d prefer? Why do some podcasts seem to disappear and I have to scroll forever to find them? I want to love this app, I really do, but it’s one of the most frustrating pieces of software I am forced to interact with. Please fix it. I know we are a captive audience, but we are actually paying for it with the phone and the advertisements we listen to endlessly and the Apple subscriptions. Please don’t drive us away.

Illogical. I just don’t understand who designed this. It feels like it was designed to visually mimic the Apple Music app which is inappropriate because other than the fact that they both play audio, they share little in common. I constantly run into situations where I’m just baffled at the design decisions. Was this tested with actual users? Why is the default to play the most recent episode, instead of the oldest unplayed episode? I’m trying to listen to a series with 37 episodes, and every time I start the app it starts with the latest, so I have to stop it, scroll down, click show all, wait for that to load, scroll down, find the last one I haven’t listened to, then play it. Then repeat that for the next episode because it jumps back to the latest again. Totally infuriating! And in the CarPlay view it only show about half a dozen most recent episodes so it’s completely unusable, I have to pick up the phone and do all of the a steps, completely defeating the purpose of CarPlay. It’s should show the half dozen oldest unplayed episodes!

This app is amazing! However…. I love this app. I’m always using it to listen to excellent shows, and it’s always recommending new ones to me that I end up enjoying. My one issue with this app is that the autoplay feature doesn’t allow you to remove shows from the autoplay queue. I enjoy automatically switching between shows to allow me to catch up on all the different things I like. But I don’t enjoy when I’m tired, driving home from work, and listening to podcasts to keep myself awake and a sleep podcast comes on! It would be really nice to be able to remove specific shows from the list of shows that play automatically, so that I don’t have to fumble with my phone while I’m going 80 down the highway to skip a sleep show! Just a suggestion. Please consider it for the next update. Otherwise this app is great!

I hate the way they run ADD’s. I am ready to delete apple pods cast, due to the Adds they constantly place. In fact the only positive thing, I can say about Apple Pod Cast is that they don’t listen in threw my phone or searches. The reason I know this, is these adds would never play. Due to my extreme distain for the constant add for this subject, I can’t stand listening to my pod casts. I would rather go clean the dog poo out of my yard. To make it clear, if my wife made me clean up after the dogs, instead of the kids, I would be finding a home for both our dogs in a day of it becoming my job. Every add I get, before and after each pod cast, is for football pod casts. I have never cared to watch or follow football, since I was a kid. Since the NFL allowed the game to become a political statement platform, I hate the game, and refuse to watch any part of it. (All sports are so you can forget politics and enjoy life and forget world problem). Please stop with the constant same pod cast Adds or figure out how to look at what your audience might actually be interested in.

Lack of speed and sync. I have been avid podcast listener for close to 10 years and avid Apple fan for the last 5. As much as I like to stick to Apple default apps for certain tasks, Apple podcast app is a dark blemish on that spot. While technically speaking app does function with basic options, the speed at which it achieves its functionality leaves a lot to be desired. Simple said, app is quite buggy (e.g. sometimes needed to click 3-4 times before app reacts to “follow” button). Other big issue is with syncing which is a bag of hit and miss, where somebody put a lot of miss in that bag (e.g. it takes sometimes a full minute for app to refresh to the latest podcast episodes) My hope is that for next iOS 16 edition, Podcast app gets rewritten from the ground up. Majority of the Apple users are not asking for advanced functions that are podcasts apps offer, but speed and reliability need to be improved. ✌🏻

Updates are need for tiny things.. The quality of the actual podcast are great. My issues are navigating through finding new, old, and recent podcasts without quite a bit of difficulty using my iPhone. I am able to browse with no issues, however if I find something I’m interested in, then select that podcast I’m having logistical issues with simply seeing the different episodes. I’m usually taken to the “about me (my words)” page and there’s no option to go to the episodes from there. If I’m listening to a podcast and have not selected pause, it vanishes and I have to search for it again. It’s not in the “Listen Now” list. It’s also hard to remove items from my library. I remove the podcast and the pop up again. These are minor inconveniences but when you have limited time you want to be listening to the podcast and not being inspector gadget meets mcguyver.

Lifesaving validation and support. The short version: Natalie is awesome and so are the other ladies and counselors featured! The long version: When I found flying free my life changed & the podcasts moved me to a higher level of awareness. I’ve listened to nearly every one and some multiple times. The stories have helped me put a name to my experiences and validated what I’ve been going through but more importantly I took in “new data” and decided I was done accepting nonsense as sense and was taking back my life and sanity. While my church and upbringing don’t fully align with some of the experiences of many of the women, I have experienced a lack of support from my church pastor. Just knowing others were treated the same helps me shrug it off and know I don’t need to waste my time! I’ve now joined Flying Free and I’m changing all I can— me.

Finding my way. I have had many years of marital problems thinking it was my wifes doings this whole time. Now that I have listened to just a few different types of your episodes I have learned quite a bit and I am already starting to feel so much different about my situation and realizing that is has never been her and it has been me carrying these things for so long. I have such a long journey ahead but I do enjoy listening to this Podacst and trying to use some of this and apply to my situation. Thank you Rob. You are truly speaking to me. I have now listened to some of the episodes that don’t directly affect me and I must say. Very impressed. Please keep up the good work. If not for everyone else, then do it for me. I enjoy everything you are speaking about. Thanks again!

What happened to this app? I hate it now.. I LOVE listening to podcasts! This app used to be amazing for that. I have several podcasts I’ve been listening to for years (6 years for one and over 15 years for another for example). However since the upgrade to this app, when I download old episodes to listen to again, they don’t show up in the downloaded section or anywhere else for that matter. I have to go to the complete listing of all 15+ years worth of episodes and scroll to the beginning to find some of the ones I want to hear. It’s makes listening to podcasts an extremely frustrating experience instead of relaxing and enjoyable the way it used to be. There are several other features of the previous version of this app that are much better than the current version also however this is one of the biggest for me. I’m currently searching for a new app to use for listening to podcasts. If anyone has any suggestions please mention them in your reviews.

Eric Roberts Fitness - #322 How Your Metabolism Actually Works and How to Increase It. Can’t believe I’ve been reading about fitness and nutrition for the past 7 years and somehow didn’t know or comprehend why eating protein and getting adequate sleep is so important for your metabolism. Talk about a lightning bolt moment. I always enjoy listening to the podcast and learn something(s) but this entire episode was packed! Breaking down all the different parts and percentages (BMR etc) that make up your metabolism was also incredibly valuable. Folks, if you want to understand how your metabolism works, listen to this episode!! There’s always more to learn but I feel like I really get it now and feel like this gives me a completely new perspective on my fitness/nutrition journey. Extremely thankful for that! And on that note, I’m off to eat another chicken breast.

Nothing seems reliable or intuitive. EDIT: all the 5-star reviews appear to be people rating/talking about specific podcasts and not the app itself. Any other company it would be okay, but, for some reason, Apple’s own podcast app just always seems to get a little clunkier, non-intuitive and unreliable as time goes on. There was a version some years back that was near-perfect…simple, straightforward and obvious. It “just worked”. This current version, I can’t recall the last time I had a pleasant, normal, “worked exactly as it should” experience with it. Stuff not downloading, followings not maintained, seems to create some serious behind-the-scenes bloat, the UI/navigation just seems a bit “long way around the bend”. All of Apple’s other in-house software is amazing and rock-solid. They just can’t ever seem to mail the podcast app. It’s almost as though it’s been contracted it out to an outside outfit of novice developers. It’s lacking the Apple polish/ease-of-use.

Plays episodes in strange order. The app plays podcasts, and has em all. I just wish I had some control over what episode plays next. (Other than a single playlist, that is at best, clumsy) When I listen to a podcast episode, I would like the next episode in the podcast to be the next. Not an episode of another podcast, and not the newest. Next. Not new, not another show, the next episode of the podcast already being listened to. So many podcasts should be played in order, please just make listening to the next episode easier. Also, there are some podcasts (knowledge fight) that the app refuses to suggest the next/newest episodes. So with those shows, if the episode ends, I have to search for the show, because Apple Podcasts does not ever put their episodes in the suggested feed, EVER. I think claiming a show is “shadow banned” is way over hyped, but I don’t know any other term that fits the bill of how apple appears to not want me to listen to the next episode of some podcasts.

The Shawn Ryan show. I normally never give reviews (maybe I’m just lazy or too busy) however, this time I have to! I just wanted to say I appreciate your approach about everything! You provide content that should be provided by other sources but never is…thank you for not breezing over everything and actually staying on point, in control, with confidence…your show opens up conversations I always want to talk about but no one wants to hear. 5 star review from me! Sending positive energy! You have delivered a podcast that I can close my eyes and pick any episode and know I’ll be engaged the entire time. Out of the endless supply of podcasts, yours is the only one I felt I had to write a review for appreciation! From me to you, I have so much respect for you and the content you provide! But more than anything, Thank you for your service! As well as the guests on your show!

A seriously fun time. This series is just plain fun, with a good dose of intelligent sci-fi humor! Clever episodic scenarios, witty banter, a certain level of self-aware coyness, and the occasional humorous reference. My favorite episode so far is Ep 3 “ B:/LIEF/ “ where our heroes land in a world of religious robots, and find themselves the center of attention. Considered “angels” by most, and as confirmation of their faith. But a couple of fringe non-believer robots see them as an opportunity to disprove the church, and resort to kidnapping. It waxes philosophical, but takes an uncommonly optimistic attitude in nihilism. And Episode 4: “Relief” is a genuinely good “nothing” episode that explores the relationship of the 2 protagonists through some extensive bickering. Even with no urgent stakes, it’s enjoyable just to hear them argue about pineapple on pizza, or ponder the origins of the word “restroom.” Great characters, voice acting, writing, and sound design. Ben Paddon, Bravo! 👏👏👏

Functionality is terrible. The reviews for this app are so skewed because people are reviewing it based on the podcast content and not the actual app. I have been drinking the apple kool aid for about 10 years now and I can assure you this app needs a lot of work. Everything looks sleek and seems easy to use. But, the functionality is terrible. If you’re listening to an episode from 5 years ago, it will not automatically go to the next episode. Instead, you have to go back into the podcast channel, scroll all the way past the previous 300 episodes just to get to the episode that is numerically next. It’s also terrible at tracking which one’s you’ve listened to and where you stop if you do have to stop in the middle. You also can’t sort the episodes in any certain order. It’s only numerical order starting from the most recent. The only way this app makes sense is if you start a new podcast as soon as the first episode is released on a new channel. Tons of potential but tons of easy fixes.

Please improve. I get SOOOO frustrated trying to play podcasts on this app… it plays at random times against my will. Lord know what show or episode will pop up and play.. there is no history saved so I can never play the shows I’m currently listening to in continuity. Because it jumps from, for example, season 5 episode 1 to season 45 episode 2… or if I listen to an episode and that’s over it starts playing some random show from a different podcast then I can’t go in to library and see the last show I was listening to so then I have to rely on my memory which is full of 10,000 different podcast titles. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to unfollow shows. I don’t know, I get in this app and all I want to do is throw my phone! It’s also not easy to find one that I like in a short amount of time because there isn’t a way to preview the show or enough description in a lot of them to know what the show is even remotely about. Love podcasts, hate the format.

By far the best show for sociopolitical issues!. If you are left leaning/progressive in your ideology and worldview, then you will not find a better podcast to provide you with context to understand and analyze major sociopolitical issues. I never keep up with the news cycle, and most news outlets individually are often devoid of contextual details that are fundamental to allow for an honest and informed discussion of the topic. The host and crew of Best of the Left meticulously and masterfully curate background information and relevant perspectives to allow for a deep dive, rather than a shallow regurgitation of political rhetoric that is often parroted by the mainstream media. I do listen to it on 1.5x speed, but absolutely love it and a staple as long as I don’t feel too burned out and disillusioned with the state of the world…the host Jay! even helps with my disillusionment at times for which I am very grateful!

Economic War Room. Economic War Room is excellent. The United States is not a free country. We have been duped by corrupt businesses and despicable government criminals. The United States depends upon foreign manufacturers to produce essential products like medicine, steel, oil, dependable cars, and dependable tractors (most tractor parts are outsourced). We do not have a secure border and the government funds the cartels by facilitating human trafficking, drugs, and the spread of coronavirus though illegal immigrants. Economic War Room tells it like it is and provides information and advice to restore our independence and self sufficiency. We are all slaves to the government debt and the FED. Black, white, blue, green, purple, pink or yellow we are all slaves to the government debt and the FED. The Economic War Room calls all true Americans, American businesses, American corporations, to be independent, self sufficient and loyal to the Constitution and fellow Americans! Communist A.K.A Democrats lie, slander and label capitalist as greedy: when the Democrats actively undermine free America with their greed. Democrats and Universities actively undermine America when they buy, sell and trade American secrets, technology, security and people to cartel’s, China, Russia and other foreign entities to enrich themselves in plain and simple selfish greed. The Economic War Room is a source of honest and true information.

Laura Doyle Podcast six Intimacy Skills. I purchased the book, The Empowered Woman and I almost returned it. Then I started reading and almost didn’t get through the Introduction, but I pushed through it. I am soooo glad I did. I have read many books, mostly faith based, on marriage, but this book is the most truthful in your face book for ME, not my husband I have ever read. I was willing to take the conviction because it was truth and I absolutely knew it. I have learned so much about myself and what I need. I have already started practicing the skills which is another great thing. The skills are easy to understand and begin applying. I’m not saying it’s an easy fix but results start immediately. I listened to the podcast and got soooo many aha moments. I am going to listen to everyone of them while doing things in the house, walking, traveling, etc. I want this.

Thrilled .. I’ve studied Rome from a very young age classical Greco/Roman history and onward . Scipio was my favorite and I believe is the greatest general ever . I’ve read B.H.Liddell Hart and was thrilled today as I was when I read him . I would like to add he was never defeated in battle, and on the political end even though he was not a political man, he managed to be the youngest counsel in history, and be offered a bridge to dictatorship. Which he refuse, which only speaks to his character. So I have to thank you very much for this wonderful podcast. I am enjoying all of it. I don’t know if you’re covering Marcus Aurelius, but he is my least favorite Roman and I argue all the time with people who refer to him a philosopher . But hey apparently I’m in the minority. 😅 But really I can’t tell you how much I enjoy. I’m enjoying this you guys keep up the good work.

It’s a cup of coffee or a whiskey in the form of a podcast. I am not a podcast lover in fact I find many of them a wasted of time but not this one. Thom Singer is genuine and generous host with the most sincere dedication to creating a podcast that not only offers a great listen with a variety of incredible guests but plenty of food for thought, great tips and real world suggestions from some really cool guests. Thom is a great conversationalist, who asks great questions that I, for one, am seeking answers to, new ideas and new perspectives on the topic of speaking all in an incredibly conversational and approachable format! I just binged through a few episodes and found myself taking notes. Frank Kitchen, I’m gonna be a contender and listen to every episode! I am a Speakernomics fan and it seems a fan of every guest I’ve heard so far.

Would love to be able to save favorites. It took a while to get use to the change in the app, but now the only missing feature I feel like would be nice is some way to save episode favorites because currently I have to keep a running list in my notes about which episodes I really enjoyed that I might want to reference back to. So, if that’s not already in the works/ backlog of things to add, I would highly encourage it!! Thank you Edit: we can now save episodes so I wanted to update my rating to 5 stars!! (It would be super cool if we could save episodes to certain playlists - grouping certain podcasts together and maybe even being able to share those list to people, but I understand that might be a really complicated ask)

Every update seems to be a step in the wrong direction. It amazes me that the developers of the app that basically made podcasts so widespread can consistently mess up their product seemingly with every update. Every time I see it’s been updated I can brace myself to have a more annoying experience than the last time I used it. I wish I had written down everything I’ve noticed since starting to use it, but if it wasn’t for me wanting to keep track of everything I’ve listened to I would have moved to a new platform long ago. Some examples: not being able to mark multiple episodes at once anymore, the app not keeping track of which episodes I select to “play next” if I ever have to stop listening in the middle, randomly downloading hundreds of episodes of a show I’ve already listened to for unknown reasons, etc, etc. I know there’s plenty more examples but I’ve just forgotten and I never felt the need to review before I can’t recommend this app as a platform for listening to podcasts. Please user, look elsewhere for a better one

Fixed. If you are having trouble with old podcasts randomly showing up in the “Up Next“ playlist, there’s an easy fix. Go to each of the Podcasts individually and Mark them all as played. I don’t know why it works, but it worked really well so far they haven’t shown up at all in the Up Next playlist. I noticed this because I have multiple devices with Apple podcasts turned on, so it may have been a sinking issue between them. Anyway, I hope that helps somebody who’s having the same issue. I got so frustrated with it that I deleted the podcast app from both my iPad and iPhone, reinstalled it on both devices, and that seemed to fix it. When the app works, it works just fine and syncs beautifully with the Apple Watch. However, I think Apple could do a little more refinement with the sync mechanism.

To read or not to read. I came to this podcast because I wasn't sure how I felt after reading Matthew Perry's book except that I didn't think I liked him as much anymore. Having loved Chandler and Friends, I went into the book with a very different opinion of him than I had after reading - and I felt kinda bad about it. The way he spoke of Courtney and Jennifer especially bothered me - as well as all women - so I was glad to hear it wasn't just me. And then I came back for Britney and, again, we are ALIGNED. Now I'm listening for the books I won't read - looking at you Jamie Lynn and John Stamos - and am 100% confident in my decision to not invest in those books based on everything you said. Well done ladies! As someone who has read a lot of celeb memoirs, you are now a valuable resource in my life.

GREATEST SHOW IN THE MILKY WAY GALAXY. They would only let me give the show 5 stars. I wanted to give it 19 stars. Monica Crowley is such a good commentator that when she posts new content, I stop whatever I am doing to listen. I was an hour and a half late to work the other day. Why? On the way to work I had to pull over the car so I could spiritually focus on listening. The other day I was having sex; had to stop in the middle, got a notification alert Monica posted another episode. Listened to the whole episode. Went back to continue the sex, she was gone. In retrospect, she must have been upset cuz she was a communist. Monica’s show is so good, I have submitted samples to The American Ontological Association; told em’ I found the cure for cancer. If you’re not listening to Monica Crowley; there is strong possibility you torture kittens. FACTS.

Won’t continue play after pause. For the past year the app has sucked. It often won’t continue to play any podcast after paused. Whether streaming or downloaded before the failure, same thing. I see other people on reviews finally complaining about the same thing. Close the app and reopen doesn’t help. Only thing that works is to delete the whole app and reinstall. I’ve reported this to 1-800-myapple. No help. Genius Bar in store…no help. I’ve done reset network settings…no help. I’ve done a complete wipe of my phone per genius direction…no help and complete waste of time. I still trying to restore things months later.. They even replaced my phone under warranty. IT STILL DOES IT. They suggested to download episodes I want to listen to….even does it with downloaded episodes. The only thing that works is to delete the whole app and reinstall. Then I can continue listening to that paused episode, but the next one…it happens again. What a waste of time and energy. Get it together APPLE!!

Apple should be ashamed of putting their name on this app. I don’t know how Apple can stand behind this app and be proud of it. Everything about this app is a frustrating experience. From improper syncing across devices to podcasts downloading despite every possible setting being turned off for allowing downloads, I’ve been forced to look elsewhere for my podcasting needs. I look at an app like Overcast and I see a developer that truly understands podcasts and what users want. How is Apple missing the mark this badly here. Such features like chapter skip, volume boost for voice, auto-remove silence, and sharing clips externally are all features sorely missing from Apple podcast. I could do without all those bells and whistle‘s but even the core experience is maddening. As I mentioned above, the synching issues are just unacceptable in 2021. Also, many times when I unpause from that now playing lock screen widget, the podcast episode randomly jumps backwards in time. These bugs are just so un-Apple.

Thankful. I am thankful for Christian, biblical teaching where God is praised and man is corrected. God is good! And I just got to listen to episode 122 of the Just Thinking podcast! I believe these two, Derrel & Virgil, have a desire to glorify God and learn from what the Bible teaches. I hope this podcasts along with others like there’s (those that fall back on scripture for every statement), grows and spreads far and wide for the freedom of souls of an innumerable amount of people in Jesus Christ (: Though these men are fallible as all men, the savior I trust they believe in is infallible, and can lead these two in all truth. If they are listeners of Him who rules, and therefore couriers of God’s Word over mic, then we would do well to consider their discussions! Praise God only! The crucified, resurrected, ruling Jesus Christ is the friend of sinners! Let’s all submit to Him!

Long time listener. my wife is a family doctor she opened her first office in 1997 we were a Mac based office because we used Max at home and new that she would have to spend the least amount of time teaching her staff system I became her tech-support and began listening to Kim for business and tech advice I used to only listen to what I could catch I am an ex broadcaster myself so I began recording her entire show on quarter inch tape when I wasn’t around and listening back when I could listen eventually I had enough money to become a Kim‘s club member and have been listening faithfully ever since she has helped me with a number of problems she is great when my wife saw her picture she said “she’s a computer whiz and she looks like a model, no wonder you love her so much“

Genuine Confidence and Real Connections. In a world full of one-size-fits all, and often ill-advised, advice, Amber’s work is so refreshing and inspiring. From the moment I started listening, I felt an instant connection to Amber - she’s your wise friend who intuitively knows just what you’re thinking and cares about helping you to achieve your best results, even if that means getting very honest and real with yourself. This podcast is genuine and rooted in very relatable real-life situations where Amber offers actionable guidance and mindset shifts to create measurable and noticeable results. After about a year of listening to the podcast, I joined one of Amber’s coaching groups, and I am so thankful I chose to invest in myself. Having her, as well as the other group members, support me along the way was just what I needed to get out of my own limiting beliefs and move forward in a new and exciting way. I’ve suffered from anxiety and depression for much of my life, and the mindset shifts and empathy Amber provides have been the catalyst for viewing myself in a much more positive and empowered light. Not only have these results improved my overall quality of life, but they’ve helped me to confidently create a supporting, loving, and exclusive relationship!

Overall works great, iPhone version keeps crashing. Overall, I really enjoyed this app quite a bit and I think it is easy to use and effective. Shows are easy to find and also are easy to search for past episodes. I sometimes have a few areas of frustration, that include on the iPhone app, the app constantly crashes a few seconds after launch. I would reinstall the app but the problem would keep happening. The second issue is I can’t really tell the app to delete all the episodes that I previously listened to. This is despite having the settings set to delete after listened. I want to rent out a space and then I looked at my usage and found that my podcast space was occupying over 26 GB of space. It might be helpful to have the app delete episodes on devices when finished listening.

The Joys of Snooping in Your Grandma’s Diaries. This podcast is fantastic! I love how they go down a rabbit hole over the smallest mention of a new friend or acquaintance. Liz brings Elisabeth’s voice to life with her gift of storytelling. I also like listening to them process the history together and revise some of their earlier thinking- I too was curious about the girls sleeping in a tent and their mom never allowing them a turn inside or with the younger siblings, but I agree it’s because they were likely outdoors as well. It feels like history being uncovered. Well done, Mark and Liz! This is especially fun because my dear friends are Mark’s cousins, so Elisabeth is their grandma too. ♥️ I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Aunts Carolyn and Camille and Mark and Elisabeth’s other grandchildren and gr-grandchildren. This is a gift for generations to come.

Soulful Serenity in Sleep Psalms by Bishop T.D. Jakes. I recently had the pleasure of immersing myself in the transformative podcast experience, "Sleep Psalms" by Bishop T.D. Jakes. This podcast, a masterful blend of soothing narration and spiritual insights, has become an essential part of my nightly routine. Bishop Jakes' calming voice serves as a gentle guide, leading listeners through a tapestry of Psalms that not only promote restful sleep but also instill a sense of peace and connection with the divine. The choice of Psalms is thoughtful, each one carefully selected to resonate with the tranquility of the night. What sets "Sleep Psalms" apart is its ability to seamlessly intertwine biblical wisdom with the universal need for peaceful sleep. Bishop Jakes' reflections offer a sense of comfort and reassurance, making it more than just a podcast but a spiritual companion in the quiet moments before slumber. The production quality is impeccable, with a serene musical backdrop that enhances the overall ambiance. Whether you seek solace, inspiration, or simply desire a restful night's sleep, "Sleep Psalms" delivers on all fronts. Bishop T.D. Jakes has crafted a podcast that not only speaks to the soul but also cradles it in a cocoon of serenity. Highly recommended for those seeking a blend of spiritual nourishment and peaceful repose.

Biblical teaching. Pastor Justin Sweeney may be one of the best kept secrets in New England, possibly the US. My husband and I travel a lot and frequently attend “mega churches” when we do. Additionally, we have listened to or watched some nationally-known evangelical pastors for years, but Pastor Justin is the most effective biblical teacher we have ever had the pleasure of learning from. While many pastors offer the “milk” that new believers need, he provides the “meat” that committed long-time believers crave. However, I don’t believe his messages are lost on the new Christian, as he has a way of bringing the words and frequently-told stories of the Bible to life in light of their historical context but also in relevance to the world we live in today. God’s Word is truly living and breathing. Every sermon proves that is so and effectively inspires me to walk as closely in the footsteps of Jesus as I possibly can.

Love podcasts annoying app. Thank you for supplying all the great podcasts. This app is so annoying. Why can’t you organize so that we can actually just click on a season? I recently started listening to Truth and Justice. There are 9 seasons 572 episodes and I started at the beginning. So now on season 6 and it skips from one episode in season 6 to season 9 and trying to go back and scroll though all those seasons to find the next episode is so frustrating. Sometimes it plays the next one and sometimes I can tell it to play the next one but often I am trying to let it just run in the background and use my watch to fast forward through some episodes I don’t want to listen to and it jumps to some random one. Wouldn’t care if I could just go to my library, click on T& J and Season 6 to scroll through to find correct one, but having to scroll though 100’s is terrible. There has to be a more Apple-like user friendly way to organize. Thanks!!!

Intriguing, Thought Provoking. Living in the Seattle area and having attended Mars Hill a few times, this podcast is especially interesting to me. I heard a few murmurs of underlying problems as an infrequent goer of Mars Hill and am fascinated to hear more from an in-depth look at what was really going on. It’s great to hear usually healthy responses to what was going on and CT’s narrative voice and lead on this project usually nails context and hedges the bets in most areas where you foray into the “he said, she said” territory. Only a few times did I feel like I’d want to unpack ideas or events further because I didn’t agree with, not wholly anyways, with the claim or perspective shared. I say wholly because I did agree in part but felt qualifications needed to be spoken more openly and in a few instances weren’t. Great podcast though - thanks for putting this together!

Confusing and inconvenient. The way Apple has this app set up is very infuriating at times. It has a very inconvenient user interface, especially trying to quickly access certain podcast pages/creators and selecting from the bank of episodes being very tedious. The suggestions are never relevant or good, in fact they should just remove that feature. I feel like if I’m listening to an episode of a podcast it should be easy to enter the app and easily access a different episode from the same podcast without having to switch to an entire separate “tab” in the app. I feel like the user interface should be more similar to the Apple Music app, which while not perfect, is relatively simple to navigate. Podcast channels should be like an album and the episodes should be listed like the track on an album, but with collapsible tabs for each series or seasons/years the episodes in said podcast are released.

Developers should honestly be ashamed.. Flagship podcast app, apple’s own native solution, and the quality and experience is consistently becoming worse. You cannot justify not being able to keep podcast’s in sync in 2023. This app is not Apple quality, and is all but useless for attempting to keep up to date or “in sync” with that you’ve listened to and what you still need to hear. Also absolutely evil that such an inept team would also be so bold as to not include a manual refresh button, since their app in incapable of staying up to date itself. Apple should honestly pull this app and just let a third-party handle it, because after more than a decade of trying, it is clear they cannot. Update: Also shameful that the developers do not remove the falsified/inaccurate reviews meant for individual podcasts that are mistakenly left on this app. ***This is NOT a 4.9 star app and actual reviews which are relevant to the app’s design and functionality will clearly show this***

Hi from Madison, WI. My paranormal drug induced experience exposed the dark spirit realm in such a way that scared the daylights out of me and reversed my meandering trajectory back towards the Lord Jesus in my twenties. If you have had a similar experience and can’t make sense of it, this show might be what you’re looking for. Blurry Creatures attempts to provide a biblical foundation to help dissect the unexplainable, paranormal events that so many individuals experience on this earth. When even biblical scholars, leaders and pastors hesitate to move towards these mysterious topics, the demand in the 21 Century is booming. Podcasts like these are bridging that gap. Thank you both for keeping Jesus front and center and I pray that listeners lives are radically changed for His sake. “Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest” (John 4:34–35, ESV).

So many issues to choose from.. Ok so I think my absolute favorite new feature is the one where it sometimes just completely deletes your “up next”, then as you go to rebuild it, shows from the old list start popping back in. Deleting these new entries will also delete other items in your list and you won’t even notice unless you were paying close attention. That’s my favorite, but I won’t bore you with a novel about how few things function in this app. How about you guys just roll it back about 5 versions to when everything worked? Then add your precious new ui on top of that. The saddest part is most of these issues are not simple to diagnose while driving and the average person is going to try to fix it while driving instead of pulling over to fix it. So you are literally endangering lives by pushing these updates out in unacceptable states.

Fast to Heal Shana Hussein. Shana’s style and her guests are the FIRST podcast that have been so valuable and full of information on fasting and beating (stubborn) insulin resistance. I seriously was ready to give up on everything and I’m a very determined person who follows the rules. Shane is personality along with her intense compassion and science based information and her educational background all fed into me continuing to practically become addicted to her podcast. She is the reason that I have been able to fast so effectively and change my eating habits despite being quite a healthy and educated eater. I hope her following goes far and wide. She is bringing truth to people who desperately need it as this is becoming an epidemic that is killing people and their quality of life. I am Ploor upon you to listen to her podcast they will help you and change your life!
