Apple Music for Artists App Reviews

Bugs. Every time I use this after something wrong, I know my password, but it doesn’t allow me to login most of the time and it logs me out way too often, and then my most recent song dropped on all platforms, except Apple Music and it’s not giving me a reason and there’s no way to contact them and I went in the app to check my music and none of my songs are showing up it just shows my profile, I’m so sick of having issues with this app

Inadequate. Not very Apple- unintuitive navigation, key aspects like artist bio, genre placement or comparable artists not available in app. Prompt questions that appear when initially opening an artist profile on the browser page do not appear in app, nor can you seem to come back to answer them later on the browser page because it automatically bounces you to the app once you’ve downloaded it. Extremely limited options make this not particularly artist friendly. Spotify’s artist page app isn’t perfect, but clearly superior at this time.

Stats. Loved the app for the past 2 years but as of recent my stats are not aligning with my actual songs counts. It shows that I’ve barely released anything when my platform has been active for the past two years. Please fix.

Absolute trash. Not only are the metrics inconsistent but as well i got locked out and since I use a number password for my device I can no longer get in without resetting my entire iPads passcode which makes no sense to me. Honestly expected more from Apple. I bought my iPad specifically for Apple Music for artist but if this is how Apple values there music industry contribution then I need nothing to do with them. Hands down, do not wait your time.

Can’t select “forgot password?”. I tried to log in and couldn’t remember my password, so I selected “forgot password?” to change it. It either freezes there or says “cannot connect to server.” Help!

Sign in button error. Can't log into my artist profile on the app. It keeps saying 'forgot password' even though my email is recognized. But when I try to sign in, the button isn't working. What's going on?"

How come every time I press leave artist it says error could not connect. I’m having the worst experience with this app I can’t leave previous artists I was once on, I can’t request new artists access after I dropped a new single either, apple this needs fixing 🤦🏾‍♂️

If I could give zero stars I would. I used to like Apple Music for artists until it stopped letting me open the app. I’ve updated it, etc yet every time I open it I get a black screen that says TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE Apple Music for artists is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Despite the ‘try again’ button, no amount of opening/closing/updating/deleting/reinstalling the app does anything except generate the same TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE message. Terrible app.

Apple Music For Artists. I really love how this app has a tight security for artists so people don’t log into an artist’s account and either all its good.

All time plays bug.. The all time plays numbers are way off. I have about 15k all time plays, with milestone pictures from the app to prove and it says now that my all time plays are 800….but I adjust the date and it says 2.3k for the past couple months 😐😐😐😐 make it make sense…

I’m a country rapper/rocker from a small town in Washington. I love posting my music to Apple Music, and I love listening to it on Apple because I just think it’s fire to have music out there, but this upsets me after I had to update my Apple password because I think it was either leaked or somebody had access or something I don’t know what happened but I changed my password and I can’t login and then when I go to forget password it doesn’t work either and I’ve also tried the other password and that password doesn’t work either. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue, and if maybe anyone knew how to resolve it because every time I click forget password it just loads and loads. So I’m kind of stuck here. I can’t check it out or anything.

Lost Streams. I have lost over 5k streams after the new update. Streams will go up then go down tremendously eventually.

Doesn’t work. I am in a metal band, and I encourage the devs to fix this issue: I can’t sign in. If this is fixed, I will give 5 stars, because this app has a plethora of potential!

Logging in problem. When I saw what you can do with your artist page, I NEEDED to get this app. I installed it and opened it, but when I hit sign in, I couldn't even type me email to log in! This MUST BE FIXED NOW!!!

Good app but there are disadvantages. I go by "kltekk", I make remixes... but thats not the point of my review. The app is pretty good for the main profile customization, but if you want full customization of your profile, you have to go to their website, it's slightly better than the mobile app in my opinion. There are no bugs for me and pairing my artist account wasn't a struggle.

Log In Trouble. Everytime I try to login to do anything it goes black (as if it was loading) then returns me to the sign in screen again. Impossible to sign in and impossible to make edits to things like my pfp, stats, etc.

Not Working. Not been able to log in for weeks . Tried to do forgot password but it stays in the screen frozen . Can’t contact support for help

App never works. What’s going on there’s always issue with the server and etc please fix this I can’t even log in

unorganized and sloppy. for the past hour and i half i have been trying to get into my account. i had to go back and forth with the app for its two step verification. i would do the email one so that i could get the to the text message. however every time i would try it, it would say an unknown error had occurred. I did this like 5 times and then i decided to just try through the website on my computer rather than my phone. it then said that i cant sign in because of too many attempts. now i have to wait god knows how long for it to allow me to try again. just made me incredibly angry and upset not only for the impossible structure, but for all the time it wasted.

Analytics glitch. I’ve been dropping music for 7+ years I check my stats just to see that my streams on overview are wrong and prompting like I’m a new artist but when I check songs individually I see the correct stats . This glitch needs to be fixed people contact you guys and send in tickets for yall to take mad long to give a response about a resolution and some aren’t even able to get in contact with yall . Are yall not aware of this problem

Can’t sign in or change password. I been trying to gain access to my profile but the new updated app crashes on its own. Please fix!

Waiting on Approval. Yes, I am waiting on the approval from the team to enter into my page “TrÂPhone” is their a hacker or something?

Fix Everything. Drop an album and it does not show all the songs that have been played. Glitch in numbers constantly. Also in my opinion if people delete some songs Apple artists music should delete the numbers off of it. Dropped an album but added 3 songs that I dropped from my singles an they won’t show up probably because it’s the same title but still it’s ridiculous, it should still show. Rate 0 stars if I could. Wouldn’t suggest this to nobody - two many problems.

App is not working properly. There’s a massive issue with logging in and the password connection. Also the online site is minimal with editing and making changes. Rating will change if the fix the issue.

Apple For Artist. Idk why, but for some reason I can’t even login. like when I go to tap to put in my email nothing happens. I’m not sure it’s this app is working correctly but when I login online, it’s not problem.

No way to report incorrect info. When people with similar artist names to mine release music it gets put on my artist profile and there’s no way to report it. Also this app gives you nothing useful as an artist. You can view your streams and basically a list of the songs you’ve released and that’s it. And like I said if something gets put on your profile that shouldn’t be there you can’t do anything about it.

I hate this app. I’ve been dropping music on streaming platforms since 2016. Im almost at 60K streams on Apple Music. I checked Apple for artist like 4 weeks ago just to find out my lifetimes number went down to 700 stream. But all the songs says they have have the same amount of streams. Why are y’all confusing and hindering us like this?

Request. Can you add a stat for how many favorites for profile?

Needs Improvement. The data is there so it does its job I guess but it’s not nearly as capable as the web version of Apple for artist. You cannot go in and edit or add any of the prompts for bio at all anymore because trying to do it from the web automatically sends you back to the app. Spotifys for artist app a lot more fleshed out. This one needs improvement.

Can’t sign in. I (had) an artist account, but I am not able to log back in to this day. It’s almost been a year since I got logged out. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Great !. Perfect app for apple stats of songs from YOU the artist.

Can’t get past the login screen. I’ve used the app several times over the past few years. All of a sudden it logged me out. It’s been many months now, and I haven’t been able to login through the app. All it has is an option for me to put my email and it’s greyed out. Can’t click anything or anywhere to go past the screen. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail. Might be a bug, but I hope it gets fixed soon.

Lost streams. I don’t know if any of the artist experienced this but my lifetime on streaming numbers is incorrect last time out lifetime streams, and I’m very disappointed and reached out to the company and didn’t get any resolution. I hope they have an update that keeps all the numbers the same and I think they should go back to when the country streams a image of the country’s flag.

Does NOT find results. I go by ‘skratpakk’ and whenever i search up my name when i request an artist, it says no results. When I put in the link to the Apple Music, it says that the app is temporarily unavailable. Please at least try to fix this.

Can’t even get into the app. So I opened this app and I put in my email but then this section popped up saying required and then I entered my password and no matter how many times I did it would say incorrect and to this day I still can’t get in and I also selected forgot password and it would just freeze

👎🏾. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t gotten access to my artist profile or heard anything from Apple.

Was useful - now it’s abandoned?. Come on Apple, this is some Google-style abandonment. What’s the point of having this app on the store under your brand if it doesn’t even open? Is anyone even responsible for this app or it is an afterthought? I’d be furious if this was associated with my brand.

Deleted over 100+ Views / Streams from my Music. My name is Kxng Jon, I am an Artist / Musician in the Music Industry & I use Apple Music for Artists to Manage my Music Streams / Stats, Recently I updated the app to the newer version & once doing so I’ve lost over 200+ Streams since having the new update installed & when I check my Record Label all my Streams / Sales are there but on the Apple Music For Artists app all my Streams / Views aren’t there nor showing so I know it has to be a technicality with the newer version / update, I’d like this fixed immediately, Thank You.

Can’t even log in. After launching the app, it’s completely unresponsive on an iPhone 16 Pro with the latest iOS. It won’t even respond to clicks inside the input field to enter the email address to log in.

Limiting. A lot of basic features are missing like looking at upcoming releases and past releases. Only being able to see the plays is cool and all but that’s not enough for me

Does the Job… but not the best.. My name is Zac Wheeler I am the bassist and lyricist for the band Uncommon Union. Recently I came across the app and decided to give it a try. After opening the app it worked, and allows me to check how many stream, radio spins, ect. But one major flaw is quite often the app will randomly kick you off for no apparent reason. This can get really annoying, and I hope the bug can be fixed soon.

App doesn’t work as advertised. This app not only shows inaccurate reporting, but more often than not, it will flat out omit information. I currently can’t see any of my songs and every time I change the time period, I get different amounts of info, but it will not show me song streams at all

Can no longer sign in. I can no longer sign into this app. When I sign in, it just goes back to the sign in page.

Unusable. When I open up the app, it prompts me to put my email in. However, the entire app freezes up and I cant type or select anything.

Inaccurate similar artists. My artists Profile “ELIISE” has a BUNCH of weird stock songs that sound like it’s from Roblox for NO reason. It’s super inaccurate and insulting. Someone really needs to fix this . It feels like a security issue because the songs are suppppper spammy.

Embarrassing.. The process of applying for artist access was so glitchy I had to try about seven times before successfully submitting.

So bad it’s an insult to artists. I am truly shocked Apple has put something this bad into the world. That fact that it is supposed to be for artists and continues to be so bad speaks volumes. I try to claim my artist names (already a clunky/broken process) and it wipes everything I have entered, again and again, before I can finish. Either that or it doesn’t work at all because it’s ‘undergoing maintenance’ which, sometimes seconds later it isn’t. Then it is again a few seconds later. It’s really a mess. I’ve been trying for maybe four months now. I can’t comment on what the content is and if it’s any good for artists because I’ve never got in.

Simply doesn’t work. 75% of the time it says “Temporarily Unavailable”, 25% of the time it cannot find whichever search terms are input - including direct Apple Music urls.

Unusable. Can’t log into any of my accounts without being told my session has timed out or can’t connect.

Needs a lot more work. Hardly any of the tools available that should be for artists: no detailed stats for songs, don’t even do a yearly artist update like Spotify does. Would be nice to see some similar features across these artist apps but this is easily the worst one out there for one of the biggest companies

Terrible Application. Does not help you as an artist whatsoever

The worst artist app I’ve seen in my life. Literally ruined my branding Image. Have requested a name change one year ago and it changed in all streaming platforms in a week and it hasn’t yet changed in this platform. Also I have a hard time changing my profile picture which should be the simplest job!!! I wish no one uses Apple Music anymore so we don’t have to deal with this weak app!!

New update made app unusable. The latest updated has forced the app into an unusable state. The app required an update to be used. But after updating, that same pop up shows up no matter what and cannot be closed. Still appears after quitting the app and a hard restart of the phone. Please fix this.

Terrible UX. This is the most frustrating app I’ve ever used. You really need to work on connecting the social media accounts….I’ve been trying for hours and have had no luck. Brutal!

Needs to be fixed. The app is sending me in a loop. When I open the app a message comes up that says app update required. When I hit the update button it send me to the App Store. I did the update but the same message keeps coming up. I’ve rebooted my phone, deleted the app, downloaded it again and it’s still doing the same thing.

Frozen streams. For 2 days now it has shown i haven’t gotten any new streams despite watching people listen to the entire track multiple times. Very annoying.

It’s fine. The app is okay for its one function: telling you how many plays you get, and where (country/city) those plays originated. Where it lacks is kind of everywhere else. I get a decent amount of plays from apple, and sometimes I see massive spikes in plays but I have no idea why or where they came from. Was I on some playlist? Was I on apple radio? Was I the next song after some other artists album ended? Spotify breaks down your demographics by age and gender, which is also handy. You can also submit songs to playlists on Spotify, whereas Apple I guess is only pay to play. So yeah I can see the plays, but it lacks any kind of information that would actually help me find and grow my audience.

Better than the original but still needs work. It would be nice if there was a pitch option.. maybe a few more statistics than given.:

Bugs. Just went to log in. Was prompted that I needed an updated Version. Clicked the link to the Apple Store, which then told me the app is up to date and so I click “open” and then the app opens and repeats the cycle again asking for an update…. 🚮

App does NOT work. The does not open at all, you can put your username/email in but the section for your password is dormant, after waiting for months now to see if they would get this resolved, they haven’t, so the desktop version is my only option at this point.

Frustrating. Will change review when I can use it.. So I got this app and saw that I needed to claim my artist page. I thought I had done that already when I uploaded our image via DistroKid, but I did it again. I’ve been in pending status for three days now. When you let me access my artist page I’ll be able to give a proper review of the app.

Cant even report the problem. Since the recent update I can’t even use the app. It just asks for the most recent update and does not change upon redownloading no matter how many times you do it. Before the update this actually worked but I can’t even complain about it to Apple. It’s not worth your time until they fix this.

Horrible wish I could give 0 stars. Doesn’t let me copy my Apple Music link into the search bar says We’re having trouble searching for artists right now. Try again later. And if I try to put my name it says no result my 2 songs are in both Apple Music and the App Store but I have no way to login to thta account the only account I can login In to is my regular Apple Music

Great app. I think the app works great, I appreciate the effort of putting it all together. More ways to visualize data and connect emission to reception are always welcome.

Keeps saying update required. I haven’t been able to use the app in months. It keeps saying update the app. And take me to the App Store where the app just says open. As if it is already updated.

Not a working app. Yup. iPhone 15 pro max …fairly new… all other apps work perfectly. I downloaded the app. Opened the app. Not working. No response. I’ve even powered down my phone, and, waited a few secs. Turned the phone back on, logged in, went to the app… same results. Also, have deleted the app, and, this is my 2nd attempt.

Worst artists app so far.. This app won’t let me even LOG IN! And I know for a fact my music is in Itunes, but as soon as I try to search up my name his the website, nothing shows up. I am very angry, because I will not be able to see any of my apple music statistics. I hope this problem is fixed soon.

Can’t log in. I personally haven’t tried this app myself, and just from the reviews and ratings it seems like the real deal, but it just won’t let me log in when I tap the screen it doesn’t work so you need to be connected to WiFi?? I deleted and re-download it but I still won’t even let me put my iCloud so my best guess is it needs WiFi

Real time stats and one day stats please!!. I love finally having the app and seeing my stats on the phone. Saying this I really wish there was one day stats everyday to see how many views you get everyday. Also a real time preview of your new song like would be nice

Artist profile image rejected for no reason. I’ve tried multiple profile pics and for some reason which is not at all included in the guidelines, my image keeps getting rejected. I uploaded multiple high quality illustrations of the face of who represents me. I am disappointed Apple is not allowing me to express myself.

Stuck on old version. Trying to update today & when I click the update button, Apple Store doesn’t have the “update” option, just the “open” option like it’s been updated.

Unsatisfied. I downloaded this app to go over my artist page and customize it to my liking some how my page was deleted and I had to request my artist again my pic is gone and they are not showing any stats for my artist page at all I know I have some because people are showing me what they are listening to hope Apple can fix this issue

Update Bug. The app is stuck in an update loop. The app has a pop up saying “app update required”. Fine. I updated. The pop up won’t go away. Can’t access my information. This is lame considering I have an iPhone with the latest iOS update. Come on, Apple. You could do better!

App does not work at all. Most disappointing apple app ever. Once installed, sign in screen is totally non responsive. Can’t get into the app for anything even after multiple installs. I’m on an iPhone 13 mini, not an outdated phone. I’m now stuck with my album cover as my photo on Apple Music with no way to resolve. Infuriating.

Great product. This app is very good, it allows you to check all your most important statistics. I have been trying the beta and now that the app is released to the public I am very happy.

Someone with my name comes up as me!. Someone with my name shows up on my music profile. They are a completely different artist! How do I fix this? Their song and photo shows up in my profile and now it looks like there’s 2 different artist with the same name. Ridiculous

Why are the reviews not all 5 stars. I’m seeing ppl put reviews of 2 and 3 stars but i cant see why this is for rappers like lil uzi vert and lil nas x they aint complaining idk why im not seeing 5 stars from others

Not working. Your app isn’t working. Keeps saying it needs to be updated to the latest version to use but it’s updated to the latest version. Tried to delete it and redownload same message. When you click the button on the update message it goes to the App Store and says App Store can’t load but everything else loads

Can’t see everything you can see on the web. When I’m checking my artist stats on the web, it shows me every detail, from what cities and other details, but in the app, it shows a limited number of stats. Don’t use this, just open the page in a web browser.

Great but.... Thank you Apple for making an app, going to the browser got old. However it would be awesome if a few more features could be added, like bios, a tab for tour dates etc.

App won’t update. Got notification the app needed to update from 3.3.3 to 3.4. Did the update but the “Need to update” window won’t go away and I can’t access the app. Restarted my phone and still the same problem. Had this account for years. Went to help pay off the app and nothing. Need this fixed.

New update won’t let me access the app.. Everytime I open the app it gives me an “app must update to use” button which takes me to the App Store which suggests that I’ve already installed the update and it gives an “open” option. This takes me to the app which still shows the “must update app to use” warning.

New Update is awful. Logged into my artist account and it keeps telling me to “update the app” which I’ve done. Tried restarting it and uninstalling it, only to reinstall it with the same issue again.

Can’t find my artist profile. Really really mad, I can throw my phone at the wall right now, I look my name up on apple for artists, nothing. Remind you, I HAVE a song on apple, why? Why can’t I just push a freaking button and it work? I’ve talked to two Apple Music people for apple and not one of them were able to help me.

Bug. Hey Apple, I am a producer posting on your platform but when I try signing into Apple Music for Artists, it doesn't let me click the password option and actually input my password to sign and and manage my account. Any ideas to why this is happening?

Update broke app. Worked fine yesterday, but today I couldn’t sign in unless I updated the app. I updated the app and now I’m stuck in an endless loop. I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstall the app to no avail. it’s still states to update the app and keeps taking me back to the App Store where there is no new update. Please fix this!

Worst stat app of all time. Apple is notorious for having problematic password requirements. Forcing users to use cumbersome password combinations, logging you out randomly, and not allowing you use past passwords all make this app a nightmare. Also, if you try to enter your iphone password, the app sometimes says its wrong. Zero stars for developers that have failed their users.

PLZ FIX!. The app has been pretty good with stats and whatnot up until it says update required and when I go to update it, nothing needs updating. Please fix this soon. It’s annoying to not be able to see my stats

Surprisingly poor. This app is surprisingly poor for Apple. The interface gives little useful information. I mean, who designs graphs with no numbers on the axis? That’s just bad. Little, if any, of the information available on the website is viewable in a reasonable and s subtle format. It’s pretty useless.

New update won’t let me use app anymore. I went to open app today and it said i needed to update to use app. I then updated and it still said that. My app is completely up to date but it keeps saying i need to update to continue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still says it. App is broken and lacks so many of the features that other “for artist” apps include.

Won’t let me enter in my sign-in information in the sign in screen.. When it brings me to a screen labeled “Apple Music for Artists” and below “Apple ID”, “Password”, “create new account” etc, it won’t let me enter in my details. Tapping the screen doesn’t bring up a keyboard for me to do so or anything

Absolute garbage. Need to use this app to claim an artist account because the web system is broken or otherwise non-functional. Now I’m stuck before even being able to log in. Sign in fine, verify email fine, once I enter my credit card CVV for verification, app gets stuck. If I enter incorrect CVV, it says it’s incorrect. If I enter it correct, it shows a spinner for a while and then stops, not progressing further. Pure Apple garbage!

Update. Can yall fix the app it tood me to update today and i did but now its still saying it needs an update and before anybody say anything i updated my phone and deleted the app and reinstalled it and its still popping back up

App not working. I usually don’t have any problems but since the app updated I literally can’t get into the app. It keeps telling me to update the app, so I did. It still told me to update it. So I completely deleted the app and redownloaded it, it’s still saying it isn’t updated.

The new update has a bug and doesn’t work. Updated to the new version because it said I had to and when I did, it continually says I need to update to the latest version and then takes me back to this page in an infinite loop. So it cant be used until this is fixed.

The new version doesn't work. Download the newest up date. Launched app and says app needs to be updated to use. Redirects to the app store says the app is updated. But when I try to open the app, it says that it needs to be updated. This loop continues. Never opens.

Review for Apple Music. To dearest Apple, Why do you keeping forcing us to purchase Apple Music?? If you can’t provide a service with the purchase of iPhone do not keep pestering us with something for additional money! If i want to create an automation then you give an option to play audio on Apple TV but you say I need Apple Music subscription... doesn’t make any sense!!!! I used to love but this forcing something on users just bug hate it!

It’s getting better but. New update has a glitch for me that says I still need to update when I already did and it keeps bringing a pop up saying I need to update plz fix ❤️

Too Minimal. The app is pretty good at showing data of where your getting plays from, but the other information is just too minimalistic. It just shows a bunch of bars with no information on them so you have no idea what you’re looking at.

Updates. Really appreciate this app additionally thou the stats needs to be updated more often in the app itself

Can’t use app after update. Unfortunately the app wil not open after the recent update that I was forced to do .. i didn’t have any problems prior to the update and there’s no costumer support for the app Can anyone help?

Update prompt stuck. Prompt comes up telling me to update the app, I have already updated it but the prompt does not go away and I cannot navigate through the app.
