QuickPlan, Project Gantt Chart Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Can’t do with out it. I am a quality manager. I use this amazing app everyday. Only way to effectively manage multitasking. Thanks for the app.

Excellent. I have been using the app for more than 4 years with great success. It is definitively the best for my needs in this category. Thanks to the developer for this wonderful work.

Exceeds expectations. So far so good. Doing more than I expected...and I haven’t even scratched the surface. Thanks for making my job easier.

DANGEROUS CLOUD SYNC!!. I work on Mac, print them as pdf and quit the app, I check the iphone has updated, but in the iPad has not although they are connected with the same wifi at home, wait until the next day I want to continue the work the iPad (as I don’t bring my mac) I found that iPad not yet updated, but when I got home and want to continue the work on my mac, the files are synced as the old iPad file which is the older version!!!!!... THIS IS NIGHTMARE!!!!!...

Minimum task duration 1 day. I like a lot of the features of QuickPlan and the developer’s other apps, but QuickPlan only handles task durations of one day or more. I found ways to force more than one task in a day, but that made the app much more work than it should be. To be useful at all to me, it must be able to schedule subtasks within a day—it is impossible to sum up a day’s work as one task. The developer’s suggestion of using iAgenda for more granularity again makes the app more work than it should be, thus useless for serious project management. I will come back to this suite if the developer will add the capability for breaking a day down into subtasks. Until then, I have a expensive apps I cannot use for anything.

Absolutely brilliant. I am an ex professional project planner with IBM. I have always used Microsoft Project but now having retired I need to do some planning for House moves and the like. I started using project but then thought let me see if there is anything on an iPad. This app is absolutely wonderful. I only have one question at the moment which is how do I do a redo (I can do an undo) I can’t see a redo option.

Wonderful. Although the app icon and some of the screenshots look a little cheap, this is actually one of the best GANTT chart apps on iOS. It can seemingly do everything, is quick and intuitive once you get used to it, nice to look at, and exports like a pro. I was blown away and not expecting this to be more than a cheap app. This app saved me on a few projects and it’s even agile enough for personal use. Highly recommend it!

Can only have a main outline 4 levels deep before needing sub-projects. There's lots to like about the app, especially with the iOS + desktop combo. But I need to figure out how to use it for larger projects with lots of nested details. The developer has been very responsive and says that sub-projects can help accomplish this. I'll see how that works for us in practice.

This app is really Pro. This app actually made for pro users who seek simple interface and Easy to use.

Great program. This program was worth getting I use it everyday. It is easy to learn and use.

Great App But One Thing Missing. I enjoy using this app. It is user friendly and there are a lot of tutorials to help expand your horizon. Unfortunately there is not a way to export a specified date range within a larger schedule. It is capable of doing so from desktop but not from IPad. I work in the field and all of my correspondence is done through my IPad. This would be the perfect program if it had that function.

Made by a Professional. Here’s the thing, the author understand project management. The app is developed by someone who knows what it’s like to create a Gantt Chart or to move around bars before sequence and dependencies were certain. This is the only tool that I know of that can arrange bars in the gantt by dragging it. Other apps you have to type in a date and duration. Part of the use for such an app is to figure out the arrangements and relationship, which means the planning moves from uncertainty to concrete logistics. This app understands the process of planning. Yes the curved dependency lines are ugly. But it clearly indicates dependent relations better than the straight lines. The creator of this app have read the PMBOK. Have had first-person experience of project management on an industry standard level. This is what other apps are lacking. I have tried many of them over the years. And am often surprised how lack of knowledge the developers are towards the field. They might make beautiful interfaces, but the usage is awkward. This app does not have the prettiest interface, but is pleasant enough. The usability is better than any PM tools made, including Microsoft Project which is very powerful, but not as intuitive. Praises to the developer and hope more to come.

Nice Project planning tool that syncs across devices!. I like the tool for it’s simplicity in use and ability to sync across devices. Also does a great job exporting and importing to other common platforms like Excel or MS Project.

The best. Hands down.. If you are looking for a good, polished, project management app for your iPad and Mac, this is it. The author puts quite a bit of effort into these apps and it really shows. I didn't realize how much I would actually end up using these, but they are my go-to for light project management tools. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

This convert iPad Pro be a productive device.. I’ve spent a lot of time seeking an iPad app alternative to Microsoft Project Plan, and QuickPlan is what I’d like to recommend. This app is pretty simple to learn, after minutes, I started to plan my first project, and found I can get the simple schedule done very quickly. I do believe iPad Pro is a productive tool now. And the user interface is pretty good.

Yes!. Finally, an amazing project management app at a reasonable price. So many PM apps out there cost a ridiculous amount or offer limited functionality until you pay some high monthly subscription. Forget that nonsense. This is the app you have been looking for. And I’m sure it will only get better as it appears to be regularly updated.

Made my Work-life easier. Creating project plan is so much easier with using QuickPlan. I don’t think I can be as efficient in planning using other tools and applications. I highly recommend this app.

Nice App!. I don’t always take the time to review apps. This took me a couple days to get used to it coming from Office Project on a PC I bought a new iPad Pro and and wanted to have a better handle on things on the go. I mainly use this to track where my work crews are and durations for various tasks on a Gantt chart. I did not want to pay a monthly fee but was not opposed to a small investment if it worked good. This is REALLY easy to use once you get a little time to play with it and the coloring options and other tools are great. Very happy with my choice and highly revcommend.

Practical toll. So far the most practical tool to organize and delegate tasks on the go, and to transfer to the other platforms or software I use at work for the same functions. Great Tool

I rarely give 5 stars.... ...but this is a simply great app. It is hard to find something this complex that works good on an iPad but they have put in a number of bells and whistles that just make this easy to work with on a mobile device. The ability to pinch zoom the gantt chart, clicking to stretch and modify... again, a great job on the part of the developers.

Simple and effective. Does everything I want to do, intuitive and flexible

Should be all platforms!!. This app is limited because you Cana only use it on Mac/Apple products. If it were available as a web based solutions euold be amazing!

Good customer service. Syncing via icloud & dropbox used to work, now it doesn’t sync.I have to manually upload / download. 4.8.18 all is fixed, thank you !

Simple but not short of features & capabilities. I've had a love/hate relationship with Microsoft Project for many years. Ditto for most project management apps. QuickPlan hasn't entirely replaced them as I do export from it to give project plans to other people. Other than that QuickPlan has become my go-to project tool. I am not a professional project manager, rathering being a professional who has to manage projects. Syncing up plans between my desktop, iPad and phone isn't as seamless as I could like, requiring cloud storage. But it is effective and reliable. Frankly this tool is an amazing bargain among all the similar software I use (MS Project, OmniPlan and Smartsheet). It is by far cheaper and lacks few of their capabilities that care about. The one hitch may be if you need to have complex projects in which you need to delegate portions of a large project plan. Wonderful, stable app.

LOVE THE APP. This application is very easy to use and learn. It works well for those that may have not have a background in project management. My only suggestion is to have the app be compatible on windows. I work with others that utilize windows and it would be nice for them to utilize for the group.

Tried many, love this one.. This app takes advantage of the iPad abilities and works exactly as I had hoped it would, which is to say, that it’s very intuitive and allows you to have complexity in your project with nearly no learning curve. If you already understand the Gantt format you will love this for sure.

Awesome App. This tool is incredible and a perfect work companion on keeping things organized. Definitely 5 stars. Only suggestion would be to make all of the icons that can be assigned to the “task” rows available in every color (green, yellow, red). Yellow hourglass for instance. Would be awesome if the developer did a proper process flow diagram maker as well to add to the bundle with the same graphics and capabilities. Great app and definitely one I use multiple times a week to keep track of everything going on. Thank you for doing this app right.

Basic Feature but it works. Not bad, hope there is an option adjusting the magnification size when exporting pdf. Most of the time exporting to letter size paper doesn't include the charge and font is too big.

QuickPlan. Commercial and high end Luxury homes QuickPlan has been the acknowledged MacProject successor. It retains the former’s ease of use intuitive UX while extending functionality beyond Gantt charting. It lacks print control over cell sizes which means a project >300 cells can occupy an entire 8x8’ wall space after printing. It is the best solution for Gantt charting…if critical path analysis is not important to your timeline. And you have wall space! You buy this app for ease of use, speed and convenience. It just works without forcing you to sit at a desktop for hours!

Best Project management/scheduling app. I am beyond impressed with this app. Coming from MS Project, Wrike, GanttPro, TeamGantt, and Smartsheet--this is by far superior in almost every way. I bought an iPad Pro for scheduling my projects after using the app on the iphone and mac. Fantastic!!!! Not perfect.. but it's by far the closest. Oh, and it took me about 10min to learn.

Darn near perfect!. As with many folks I don't often script reviews but I'm drafting this just 3-days post total knee replacement. As a stand-alone App I think QPP is thet good. Additionally, QPP fits quite nicely with most all of my non-professionally based projects and integrates just as well with my professionally based projects. The integration with other Project and GTD Apps as well as email is certainly an appreciated feature. And' the 'sub-project' feature was well thought-out. Since your team has raised the bar of QPP this far, go-forward enhancements I hope the development team will also consider are: 1. A breakout TimeLine for Milestone or Other Summary (IES) or a Project Summary Level Road-Map View, if you will. 2. The ability to move a Task/Milestone under an indented project structured without the given having to be indented first. 3. Aside from being 'Project' guy I'm also a Mind-Mapper and a creature who likes features! My last recommendation is a big-stretch without a doubt, I know but here it goes. As not all projects are waterfall by nature, provide an option to build the Project Plan or WBS via a mind-mapping-like front end and provide an option for some portion of a project's functionality to include project methods that are iterative or short structured-runs. It seems like this would further broaden your appeal to those who engage in a wide-range of project management methodologies. Bill56

Professional and Easy to Use. I am a general contractor and this works perfectly for scheduling the complexities of a renovation while keeping staff and owners informed of progress and upcoming work items. Owners are super impressed with how detailed my schedules are and appreciate the notice on items where their input is required. Though it is feature rich, everything is super intuitive to use. A short learning curve, but less than expected for a detailed app. The only hassle I had was figuring out in which order to apply task linking so things would drag or not drag when connected items were moved. Nothing wrong with the app, just took me a while to get the hang of it. Excellent app!

Best Valued App. This application has great features to it and the developer is constantly active in development with improvements. The fact that you also only have to pay once at a well rounded price is what separates this from its other competition. I was skeptical at first, but this has now become my new way of keeping track of projects.

Real good for affordable price. Definitely will recommend.. I’ve been using it for a while and this is really good, keeps me organize with all my projects

Excellent planning tool. The QuickPlan, Project is feature rich while also very easy and intuitive to use. It provide amble features for project/task planning. Highly recommended!

Ease of use. So Far so good this is a simple program to use. It is streamline and serves its purpose. One issue I find in a lot of apps is that they include a lot of extra functions that are not needed. Just give us simple minimum step app to help. This does that.

Critical shortfalls - not a serious tool. App looks good and the user interface works well. Unfortunately the scheduling logic is sorely lacking some basic features for a project management tool. First, while the app allows you to assign resources to a task, it doesn’t prevent you from having multiple simultaneous tasks all using the same resource. App provides no indication that there’s a conflict, and no way to auto-schedule activities to remove the conflict. Second, the app does not respect task dependencies. If you create a two tasks and make one a predecessor of the other then the app won’t properly enforce start-before-finish when start or duration changes, and won’t remove float if predecessor duration shortens or task finishes early. Critical path calculations become meaningless. Third, app assumes that you have a known start and want to compute the finish. No provision to specify end and compute latest start date. No way to set tasks to start as early as possible vs. start as late as possible. Finally, metrics and project stats are really lacking. No float computation or reporting. Poor resource usage metrics. It’s okay if you are satisfied with manually managing task dependencies and resource conflicts. But don’t expect the app to create an optimal (or even feasible) project schedule for you, or to report when your handcrafted schedule is unworkable.

Become the master. Never done this before. But everyone thinks I am the master project planner. This is what technology is all about. I am now empowered with a new skill it probably took hours and hours of training and practice to master in personal computer era and months and months before that. With my project plan to redo a front entrance and lobby to an upscale senior living community I can now take the long view, but also if anything gets sticky I can dive right to the friction point and micromanage the problem until it screams. I have all the subs on board and all clearly see how their tasks link and make other tasks possible. The residents are deeply affected during this construction, and seeing each step laid out in time and linked makes them fully informed and if delays occur it will be a snap to update the chart and keep them current as to the cause of delay. It’s good to be the king. BTW I am 64, so old dogs can learn new tricks.

Really good, but need more flexibility in dealing with time. I really liked my first few minutes with the app, but I had to abandon it really quickly. As far as I can tell it will not support a task’s work time of less than 1 day. I deal with projects that have lots of moving functions and they are managed and billed by the hour. Some projects are less than a day long so you just end up with a task list. I know there are good reasons to stick to one day timeframes, but business needs don’t always allow that. It would be ideal if I could enter minutes. I could manage if I were limited to hours. Requiring days, wont work for me. It is not fo me, but if you deal in longer timeframe projects, than this could be a really great app.

Very good software on my IPad; don’t need to go to my computer.. Very good app to quickly plan out your project.

Very useful planning tool. Excellent software. Looking for a userfriendly and easy to handle tool, I found Quick Plan. After working with for my first construction project I can conclude, that this is an excellent tool to plan and control a project. Handling it on an iPad is maybe the best adoption of a program from a desktop to tablet. It is very intuitive and fits to my needs. Printout via PDF is also very practice oriented. Integration with contacts is also a very good idea. I am using the iPhone App as well and also the Mac version. So thanks to iCloud integration it can be handled with all three devices. Sharing with collaborators works fine too, respecting the caveats not using the project at the same time. Reaction of the software people is amazing fast and competent. And they are open for any suggestion which makes sense to them. I tested and worked with planning software for a long time, this is probably the best concept of user friendliness and ease of usage I ever used. Sorry if this sounds too positive. But it has to be said. I recommended it to several of my friends and the architects who were always reluctant to such a tool, are very interested and starting to get into too.

Works Great!. A great app. I use this as an overview in building houses. I build about 18-20 at one time and although I use a more sophisticated company program which ties to purchase orders and is more enterprise friendly I could just as easily use this program.

Absolutely Wonderful!. This is by far the best Project Management application for IOS. One time purchase price gets you everything. No subscriptions to worry or additional fees. Perhaps not as robust as MSProject but comes very close. Fully functional for my needs. No buyers remorse from me.

Conrad - Construction Project Manager. Been doing construction management for commercial and residential for over 30 years and while am “old-school” in many ways, have to say this app is easy to learn and a big help.

Best project app period.. Finally a project management app, that you can actually use. I was trying many other apps. My attempts was often cut short due to overly complicated steps to create a simple project, let alone to manage it. Well, thanks to Hao Li, that has changed. Took me less than an hour to get my first project up and running. Even more, I have never done project management work in my life and after a month of using it, my projects are in top notch shape. If you pair it with the Mac version of the app, the things are getting even better. If I have to make a recommendation, I would encourage you to develop a PC version of the app. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Truly Excellent. I’ve been using QuickPlan Pro on iPad and QuickPlan on Mac for a couple weeks now, and I absolutely love them. Very well designed, and the export options are excellent for giving a client a PDF or XLS of the project plan that they can view on their own.

Absolutely Incredible. I got this app to help me track time and resources for my software development business and I am blown away. It has pretty much everything you could ever want and the developers even have a feedback section where they respond to good feature requests and questions. You need not be scared of the price as this app is absolutely worth every penny.

Great tool!. Had a very big long term project at work. I wasn’t in the mood to deal with trying to make MS Project work for my needs. This fit the bill perfectly! I really like the export features! It makes it very easy for my senior leadership to digest what’s going on.

Ok for high-level/quick planning. The app provides pretty good functionality for high-level “quick planning” that can be exported to different formats. What could be better is are the options for customizing exports (to export exactly the columns you want in the order that you want them), there are no custom fields to capture data you may need for grouping or filtering and you can’t change the sequence of the columns, and the URL fields that are provided don’t support call-back links so you can’t link to content in other apps on your iPad (for example to an EverNote note or a NotePlan note, etc.). Last, you can’t hide the gantt view - so there is no option to just work in a tabular format. I can see the app being used for initial planning but I could not see myself effectively running a complex project given the functionality limitations.

Very easy for use. I've spent a lot of time seeking a good gantt app for the iPad, for my daily project management work - QuickPlan is the final one I found this app get everything I expected done well, and more than my expectation is the intuitive user interface design, which is reliable, simple and powerful. Love the PDF / Excel exporting, Love the list style, love the fact I can do my job very quickly!

Great for Ipad. Burned through almost every gannt app there is. This was easy to set up my projects, I work on personal projects, no teams.

The best out there. Have tried several project schedule/gantt apps, this one is by far the best. Would be nice to be able to show the critical path of a project visually, but the icons available in the app can be used for this. Nice work dev. 5/5!!!

Simply outstanding. Having used Project plans many times in the past at work, it's a pleasure to find a productive and easy to use tool such as this. The gestures and attention to detail is up there with the best apps on the store. Also, support from author is great - quick and sympathetic to my request.

Mr. Very easy to use, very good visibility. Better than the gant chart

Yes it is that god!. Yes it is that god!

Well Designed, Top Marks. Clear. Simple. Well Designed. It is easy to see that a lot of thought has gone into the design of this app. Very slick to use, pleasing to look at and does not complicate the process of project management. Too many ’task’ apps look like a confused mess because the developers are confused about how to manage themselves and their projects. Not so with this app. Give it a test drive.

Highly recommended!!!. An excellent and very well thought app which has all the features required for an easy creation and management of Gantt chart. I’ve tried various solutions over the years including other apps / Excel Add-ins, Excel templates but this one tops when it comes to offered features and user friendliness!

Like it!. Great app. Great support. Works well.

Excellent PM App. I started using the only a few short weeks ago and already I am highly dependant on this to manage all my projects, to know their progress and allocate staff accordingly. The great design and thought that has gone into this app has made it my favourite PM app on my iPad. There are so many useful features but for me it is being able to easily import and export my projects especially the export to excel has proven to be the most useful tool when organising my tram and allocating work and most importantly walking my clients through their projects. Well worth the money I spent and more importantly the developer is very responsive to ideas and suggestion. the future of this app is bright and I recommend it for anyone who needs to know what is happening and progress of their their projects.

No import capability. The description fails to mention that this app will not import from any of the formats that it exports to. Dishonestly represents that sharing can be done by email. Neglects to say the app only allows one way "share" outgoing, not incoming. Not worth any payment.

Great for planning. One of the only one of purchases on the App Store for ghant charts, highly recmmend.

No resources or contingencies, so don't bother. I don't know why the developer bothered implementing completion ahead of assigning resources to tasks and identifying contingent tasks. Without the latter two this program is worthless for anything more than the most simple of projects - say 10 tasks performed by only one person. If the developer implements these two things then this is a 5 star product given the price.

Disappointed it took me so long to find this app. I played around with a lot of project management apps and some were good at few things but never enough to stick with them. This app changed that. Easy to use and change data. Easy to add and remove tasks. If you’re not a full pro and aren’t using MS Project this is definitely the next best thing in my eyes. It’s not 100% perfect but it’s pretty close.

Excellent task planning app!. It is so intuitive, easy and friendly app to use. Nice work from the developer. I like this app more than MS Project.

Lovely app -- almost perfect. The latest version has now fixed my major concern that the app didn't obey the work calendar. Now you can set the behaviour of the calendar when a change ripples through the schedule. Finally, if you could show the critical path it would be perfect!!

Not perfect but pretty damn close!. Very powerful without being overly complex. Clients love the visual output as colourful PDFs. Export to MS Project prevents worries about being stranded with a generally unknown application

Task Duration limitation. I thought we had found a great solution to assist us with planning the many and varied IT migration projects we have to deal with and spent some time reading the overview in the App Store. Many of the critical tasks in projects involve shorter durations than 1 day or larger durations such as 1.5 days. Unfortunately we found out, after purchasing the product that the Quick Plan Pro app only allows Task Durations of whole days or weeks. It does not allow minutes, hours or even parts of days or weeks such as 1.25 days or 0.2 days to try and get around this limitation. I cannot say that I have EVER found project planning software with this restriction. This functionality is critical to us as many of these tasks and their dependent successors are significant to the success of our projects. This makes their application, QuickPlan pro, absolutely useless for our purposes. I note from the App Store and forum, the following: There is no mention of this limitation despite there being many user requests over a number of years for this functionality. This is deception given the typical expectation of project software in this regard; The work around proposed by the developer is to use another app, iAgenda, that in his own words in not a project management app and does not integrate in any perceivable manner with QuickPlan Pro. This is simply misdirection; There is no means to test before you buy. There is a link to a test for iPhone which is a different app in the App Store and presents quite differently.

Meilleure app pour gestion de projet!. Vraiment la meilleure app de gestion de projet que j'ai essayé!! Compatible avec iThoughs (également une des Best app) et on peut exporter dans Excel, aussi sur le iPad! Des rendus de projets complets!!!

Amazing schedule app!!. I absolutely love this app. I literally use it every day, and the whole manufacturing schedule for the company i work at is worked with this app. I could never keep things together without it. I have tried many others, and none have been as good.

great app so far.. I've only used it for a week but so far so good. no crashes, very easy to enter and edit data.

QuickPlan -- iThoughts mindmap import. I found this app very useful to Gantt chart a project mindmap in iThoughts. The app allowed me to create calendar events for tasks. A useful enhancement would be an option to select Reminder task vs. Calendar event.

Terrible collaboration. Very difficult to share and collaborate. Paid the money and am unable to use. Piece of crap.

Very good app but I would like to see some of this stuff a added. More or unlimited outline levels, -Add hours too, -Better grouping of projects like folders besides the default projects and examples -Option for multiple views like in the wbs app Really like for this stuff to be added. For 20 bucks i I think this app would be really awesome if these features were added.

Project Managing Wizard. There are some niggles with the iPad version (such as resources not keeping when imported from Project) however, if you treat it as a walled garden of project management, it’s an amazing and intuitive app. I’ve crashed a couple times but it’s not a dealbreaker, I’ve probably crashed office products more often. Only critical improvement that needs to be made is links should be kept when a task group is duplicated. At the moment all links disappear when task group is duplicated. I know the author has an interesting take on limiting the use of links, but this should be a choice made by the user not by the devs. You can default to not duplicating links, if this is the workflow you wish to promote. I want to duplicate my links though. Well worth the money and the printout looks really impressive and readable, unlike MS project printouts.

Easy to use. I used it for several projects so far. Very intuitive to use. I preferred QuickPlan Pro to Microsoft project. With the addition of WBS, it help to have an overall picture of the tasks.

please allow it to work with MS Project MPP files. Does it open MPP files from MS Project?

Great app for organizing projects. This is a great way to organize when parts of a project are due. Well worth the money.

Very Good So Far.... Decent set of PM features, for the price. Nice UI. Can't import files from other programs. No interface with Dropbox, Google Drive, etc...

Nice beginning, but no link between tasks?. EDIT: The app now has link beetween ''child task'' inside the same ''parent task''. That's a beginning and makes the app usable for the planning of really simple projetcts (with no catogory needed). Next would to be able to link tasks from different categories and the addition of ''beginning to end'' linkage. After that, throw away MSProject! _________________________________________ Sincerely, it is a well done little app. But, to be really useful, it needs links between apps. without that, it can't be used to plan real projects, sorry! But it is well done, really... maybe if it was associated with evernote?

Excellente app. Très pratique

Best and most useful app in my work world. Easy to use, very intuitive- love the ability to send project to Excel, save to PDF , etc.

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Tremendous Value. If you are looking for project management solutions for you iPad this is your solution!

Very nicely done!. This app works well on a touch based device. Love the ability to export to other formats! Wish List: I would love the ability to exclude weekends. Most if my projects extend more than one week and we don't do any work over weekends.

Not helpful. I don’t like this apps. I couldn’t believe that some professional may use it.

Brilliant. Easy to use, and very intuitive! Have other programs for large projects using Gantt charts, but this allows me to setup projects quickly and is simply a joy to use. Very well thought out, and polished. Thank you!

Awe-Inspiring. Worth every penny, excellent job M.Patane

Good, but useless for real-world. This could be a good product, its easy to use, has a nice user interface and works across Apple products using iCloud, BUT critical features are missing that make it completely useless as a "Planning" tool. 1) Dependent tasks do not recalculate based on a primary task being shortened in duration or starting the task earlier. This means if you add resources to a task to reduce its duration (manual reduction, see point 2), the task shortens, but all dependent tasks do not pull in their dates leaving you with the same project end date and a gap where no work is occurring. You can manually drag the subordinate tasks by hand, but that's like using a spreadsheet without using the formulas for totaling and calculating them by hand. It defeats the point of using the software. There is an option to connect a single subordinate task to the end date of its predecessor by using "Task Linking List" option, but it only allows ONE subordinate task. If your task has two or more dependent subordinate tasks, you are out of luck. So basically, all tasks must be serial not parallel, If that were true, just total all your tasks durations, no need for project planning. Not reflective of the real world. 2) Tasks are not shortened if you add additional resources. There is no way to figure out how much you can reduce your project completion date by adding resources to tasks. So no "what-if" scenario exploration if you had more resources. No way to justify to management any impact to your schedule by adding resources. 3) Tasks time is not expanded if you remove resources, making it impossible to understand the impact to a project if a resource gets reassigned or leaves your organization. 4) No critical path, its impossible to know what tasks, if late, how they would impact your schedule. Its obvious that a very capable developer created this, but the developer struggles to grasp the minimum needs of managing a real-world project with multiple parallel tasks and dependancies. Don't use if your job depends on your project being on-time or if your project has more than one resource. Fix these issues and I'll happily update this review.

Got it right first time!. This app is the whip! 🥰

Easy and Intuitive. This is the easiest project management tool I have come across yet. I was able to create a project plan, export the results to both MS Project and an image file to be included in my presentation within minutes (I really thought it was going to take hours... Now what am I going to do with the extra time). I think others will really appreciate the intuitive design and how the swipe motions enhance the usability. For those looking to create executive level presentations or even detailed plans quickly, this tool is great!

Shortest task duration is 1 day!. If you plan tasks only using 1 day as your shortest duration this is a great program. Most of my tasks are in hours, i.e. Schedule labor 4 hours. This program will NOT do 4 hours. I will be requesting a refund.

WOW!. Quickplan was good before, but this is an unbelievable update. It works so well with a keyboard that I prefer project planning on my IPad over my PC! The new update has almost no learning curve - extremely intuative interface that magically seems to know what you will want to do next. I am a sales engineer so I only use this for generating sales schedules and some light project management, but I am not aware of any limitations that would prevent you from creating more complicated schedules. If all IOS software was this good it would be the end of many laptops. I strongly encourage anyone to try this with a keyboard - I didn't beleieve that keyboard and touch screen functionality could be blended so well until I used this. I need to review if there is a way to bring in MS Project files - but for creation this is fantastic!

Forget MS Project this is perfect. Very happy with this purchase. Well done and supports all of my management needs.

Great portable alternative to MSProject. Very intuitive. Graphical representations by color are tremendous help in seeing roll up tasks and their indentures. Not a complete replacement for the complex options in MS Project but infinitely easier to use for display of schedules or to have conversations about them. Presentation of a schedule to management or audience is aided by lack of clutter found in other schedule packages without loss of functionality. For my projects, QuickPlan reads without error an MS Project schedule exported in .XML. Rather than lug a laptop around, I use an iPad and QuickPlan as a fantastic alternative.

Very useful!. This app helps me group tasks by team and manage them easily. The drag/drop and pinch/zoom functionality is very user-friendly. The export function works seamlessly in using the products in MS Project. A few major shortfalls need to be addressed. There is currently no import capability which makes it impossible to sync with other team members or use files created/edited in MS Project. Also, there is no undo button and this can be extremely frustrating as a novice user. When you accidentally drag and drop a task (too easy), it can be difficult to tell where/when it was. Another feature that would be useful is the ability to copy tasks and task groups.

Exceptionally well done!. I was looking for an app to create Gantt charts and really didn't want to use Microsoft Project or another computer based application. The interface of this app is so well done. It is optimized for the touch interface and is easy to use. It generates excellent PDFs although I had to pick a larger paper size since my schedule was pretty big. Somebody spent a lot of time coming up with such a great user interface; great job!

Exquisite Tool - simplicity combined with power. I have all the project geek merit badges - PMP certified, contributing author of the PMBoK, and a 20 year veteran of running projects up to thousands of personnel and billions of dollars. This tool shines in regard to easy of use combined with functionality. 99% of the users of Microsoft Project can’t properly use more than 10% of the application as everyone geeks out and wants more functions and more gadgets. QPP allows you to QUICKLY get a project sketched out and running. Earned Value Calculations and Resource Leveling? Yeah good luck with that on any tool. Im not going to suggest any more functionality to this tool to avoid unnecessarily complicating it but I will ask for a web-based or Mac-based app to easier support the initial keying and loading of all the project activities. That’s not a shortcoming of QPP but rather of iPads, which simply aren’t as good as a full size keyboard for data entry. Thanks for a terrific App!!

Fantastic. My favorite scheduling app ever! 5 Stars!

Very good software on my IPad; don’t need to go to my computer.. Very good app to quickly plan out your project.

Finally a Project app that holds a candle to the uber MS Project. I hate Microsoft Project, but as a software architect and lead of a small IT department for a company that has lots of big dreams, this is exactly what I needed to get off MS Project and into the trenches without the bloat in my day of updating the project plan. MS Project is and will always be middleware for me. Too much integration into the Visual Studio Team Foundation Server. My only request is OneDrive intergration.

Worth it!. I like using free apps when I can, but this is worth every penny. Easy to learn, great design flexibility.

Impressive. This is the app for my work I have been looking for. Thanks!

Works Quite Well. Simple interface with practice. 4 stars only because the export feature to PDF was a bit glitchy at first but seems to have rectified itself. Also, the primary project text rows in the report do not all show as shaded. Only those with child tasks do, so you have to manually color them.

Highly useful. Small additions will make it optimal. This is an incredibly thoughtful app for professional project planners. Small changes, such as being able to word-wrap the comments / note section in print-outs, would make it ideal. OMPL linkage would be fantastic too. Kudos to the developers.

.. ...

Outstanding. Better than most PC gantt products. Easy, intuitive. Designer has thought of almost everything to make this a breeze to work with.

Overall Very Good. Significantly higher quality than most apps of this type on the App Store. May not be suitable for your unique way of managing your projects, but that is subjective and not a mark against this app. No obvious bugs, everything seems to work the way you expect it to. Looking forward to more apps or improvements from this developer.

Great app. Made my job easier.

Impressive. Very easy to work with and can be almost fun with an Apple Pencil!

works fine, sill need fine tuning on the sharing. I want it to purchase a version for my phone in order to advance on the project and price was outrageous.

Keeps getting better. QuickPlan Pro is an easy to use, turn-key project management solution for both new and experienced project managers. I have tried several other PM apps and finally settled on QuickPlan Pro for its intuitve interface, export capability, and overall ease of use. If you manage projects on the go and don't mind getting away from the power features of a desktop PM solution, QuickPlan Pro will do the job. It's not perfect, but its getting close.

Awesome app!. Absolutely well done app. Using it to plan projects for work. I don't need a highly complicated planning tool so this is perfect. Using the iPad's touchscreen functionality makes this app easier than using PC based software.

Great scheduling tool!. The problem with scheduling software is that complexity makes many people choose between guiding their project progress, or just being buried in the software itself. In fact for most people the project schedule is something that the boss expects to see from time to time and as such just another burden with no benefits for those running the project. For many PM’s, for this reason, a hand written daily punch list is what really helps them. With QuickPlan this problem is solved. Having an iPad or iPhone now the power of real and practical scheduling creation, updating, and monitoring can be effectively applied. In QuickPlan a project can be broken down into sub projects that in reality replace a punch list with a clear view of its own Gant chart, thus not loosing how this part fits into the total project. This way the PM can keep the plan at the tip of his fingers. The PM can develop schedule su project templates that make it easy to start a new schedule. At the same time he can import these sub projects to the overall project schedule to easily show the links with other activities. The ability to them save as an XML file allows the PM to update MS Project for more detail project management and progress analysis. Scheduling is really an art, and discerning what complexity to have is at the heart of creating an effective schedule. Sometimes just naming an activity and how it links to other activities is enough, and other times assigning detail resources is what is needed. Understanding this, and how it impacts how you effectively create and use a schedule is essential, and QuickPlan is ideal for quickly doing it.

Near Perfect! (v4.0). Changed from 3 to 5 stars for v4.0 Hao Li has done an exceptional job with this latest release. You can now do some serious project planning on your iPad (and iPhone). This latest release includes Many-to-One task linking, a highly requested improvement from the customer base. Many other requested improvements are also included in this release. Proof that VOC is alive and well at Mobilinked. You will find QuickPlan Pro is the most intuitive and discoverable project planning app available today on the iPad (and iPhone too).

Simple and Great. Great schedule program. It’s easy to use and very helpful to keep all parties on task and productive.

Excellent project planner. Quick Plan Pro is on my short list of go-to apps for the iPad. With the latest release, the developer Hao Li has done a nice job adding professional features while preserving a logical, easy-to-use interface. Keeping things simple will be his biggest challenge moving forward, and so far so good. I've used Quick Plan Pro for creating travel itineraries. Being able to see and adjust dependencies, and clone projects for multiple scenarios, makes planning much easier.

Seriously great app. This is a seriously great Project Planning app for the iPad. It has a great XML export to Project. The Excel export is also outstanding - immediately ready to show a client or coworker - nice colors, the information is all there - its like having Project in Excel. The app is also VERY simple to use - I have tried several for-pay Project apps for the iPad - this is the best by far.

Useful, Easy, Cost Efficient and Exportable to Excel. I have had quite a few PMO's on iPad. Spent money on different task management items. This is simple to use and does what I really need to do which is create something I can email to colleagues. The Export to Excel is AWESOME. I have it sync with iPhone version as well so I can collaborate with myself.

Happy. Works great on iPad.

Great planning app. I tried this app because I was curious and now its one of my basic tools. Its very convinient tool for planning events and many features make it must have app. Big plus for ability to export to many formats.

Nearly Perfect.. Excellent app. I really like that it is so simple to use. The batch input is a great feature, not many apps can do this, those that do can't do it well. The Gantt chart feature is great, but I use it as a simple to-do app most often. Excel export is nice as well as the XML export. This is the type of app that is so simple that it has more possibilities than the more expensive apps that have all of the bells and whistles...these limit what you can do IMO. Would like to be able to see the entire spreadsheet on the ipad. The latest version expanded the view some, but there is still a little room available if you aren't wanting to view the Gantt chart. Keep up the good work, and keep keeping it simple!

Simple and effective. Does everything I want to do, intuitive and flexible

QuickPlan. Definitely Quick

Outstanding project planning app!. I don’t write many reviews. This is a great app. What’s even more impressive is the developer’s commitment to improvement. The latter deserves a star itself, which is why I’ve given it 5 stars. Once a few additions and tweaks are made, this app will deserve all 5 stars on its own merit. It has made my business development planning process so much easier.

Love it. Best

Really is best PM for iPad. I've tried a few other project management apps for iPad, like OmniPlan, but this one really is the best. It has simplicity, cleanliness in the UI but with power underneath. The features are just enough to get real management done, and most importantly, they work flawlessly! I would like to see more customization options like fonts, shading, etc. Plus printing could be more robust on what can be printed. Otherwise, this was a very wise purchase for my department.

Perfect and gets better. This is perfect and still they find some way to improve it and make it better. It's really unbelievable how you can manage to create and follow medium complexity projects with ease!

Great app. Great app very useful. My best wishes for the Quick plane team

Wonderfully designed. I very rarely review anything, but I had to make an exception for this. This is the simplest, most logical, and most useful project planner I’ve ever seen. It’s perfect for my needs. It’s also one of the best productivity tools I’ve come across on IOS, a platform where, at least for me, productivity is usually a lost cause. This is so wonderfully thought out, designed, and implemented that it’s making me reconsider that assumption. If you’re an iPad productivity skeptic like me who’s spent years looking for an intelligible project planner, get this!

The real planner. I was sourcing an app for a good project planner there are really several out there but as I see their apps update and response to support it's a letdown as there are many except looking xPlan which is much more costly than QuickPlan Pro I figuring which should I look for. xPlan does provide good tools but at a price 14 dollar more than QuickPlan Pro I straight away decide to get QuickPlan Pro. Their support is good especially when you email them to ask for features and suggestion. They provide you with solution if the features is already implemented with an easy step by step guide. I will continue to look up for more features which already been in their planning stages. I am currently using this for one of my school projects and it turn out nicely when export to excel or ms project as described. The basic that your looking for in ms project or be it more advanced can be found in this app.

Very Satisfied. Very satisfied, excellent for the price too.

Not so easy to use. Should improve operation
