Decent enough. Fun game. Probably the mose immersive I have played so far. The different famous and complex airspace’s with emergencies, approaches, departures, stacked airspace and other factors make it really fun to try and master. But for 10$ and no update for 10months this is something that could be improved…lets see more airports added or other sub challenges within each airspace.

Awesome!. Awesome game! Not only does it stress me out like an actual Controller, but it made me realize the tool I've been for not slowing to requested in real life! HA HA! I'd like the ability to give pilots a phone number in future updates, or ability to make them hold until they can pay attention!

Too bad latest patch broke voice commands. I don’t know what happened but the recent patch has somehow made the voice control terrible. It rarely recognises anything, when it does it gets the plane wrong and often the commands wrong. Nothin in hardware changed and the only thing different is the app update. My fault for updating anything on a n iPad as you can’t roll back without a massive pain in the rear. Roll back the latest patch please and return the game to a working state. Note : I appreciate the reply. I will check again as soon as I am able. If no one else is complaining it is likely on my end. It’s a cool game though so hopefully I/we can figure it out. Adding two stars just for the fast response and offer of assistance. Mic has no issues with any other app. It worked until the last patch. I appreciate your willingness to help but I’ll just pay ATC pro on pc which has many more features ,and works beautifully. I can’t even get this app to work with ANT Bluetooth device. So much potential but it is a very old app so nothing lasts forever.

Love It. Experienced pilot and I could play this for hours. The voice commands are great and effective. I tend to be faster using my fingers, but getting better with the voice commands. I agree with some other comments that it would be nice to start levels without having a boat load of airplanes to start with, but that doesn’t deter from the fun of the app.

Realistic and Fun!. I'm a licensed pilot and I have always enjoyed the controller side of things. I was looking for a fun tower simulator and saw this. After trying another ATC game with voice recognition I became frustrated because I had to repeat myself several times for each instruction. This game recognizes my speech the vast majority of times and it uses accurate to life wordage. Now I'm totally hooked! Although the price is a little steep compared to most games, I say it is totally worth it! My only hope is that they come out with a tower or TRACON version...

Fantastic. This is a great app for air traffic control simulation. It takes some time to master and I wouldn't consider it a game, but more simulator. Adding voice commands makes it more realistic. Great tutorials.

A shining example of conception and execution. The combination of education plus heart-pounding realism is unmatched. The voice recognition is spot on. The detail is amazing and the developer has done a stunning job. This gives my heart a workout because it seems so real. The very welfare of hundreds of souls in each radar dot is in your hands. Thousands of people the world over make a living every day as air traffic controllers. I appreciated them before. I have a whole new appreciation for them now.

Fantastic!. If you've ever enjoyed watching an listening to actual air traffic control towers on the FlightRadar24 and LiveATC apps, then you'll enjoy this game. It seems similar to the real thing, only this time you're in charge! Great design and great fun!

Best atc game in App Store.. Price is a bit steep, but with the voice recognition feature almost makes it well worth it. Understand the the landing and take off procedures and this game will keep you entertained for hours.

Super Fun Game, but needs PTT rather than the current button. As a new player(downloaded this yesterday), I find the voice command button to be tedious to use. I wish it had push-to-talk rather than a on/off type button it uses currently.

Great simulation, voice control needs a little work. I love the simulation and purchased all available DLC as well. The voice control can get really frustrating, especially when there’s a lot of traffic. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you can’t get the voice control to acknowledge the proper instruction. For example, a departing aircraft is requesting FL200. The voice command is issued to climb to FL200. The AI acknowledges to climb to FL230. You repeat the instruction to climb to FL200. The AI acknowledges to climb to FL220. Rinse and repeat. I’d estimate the voice control works well about 95% of the time. When it doesn’t work, it’s very frustrating! Hats off to the developer for an overall excellent job and for offering the latest sector, Boston, for free.

Great ATC simulation, fun. Very realistic game based on what real air traffic controllers at TRACON facilities do. Voice recognition helps me feel I'm doing more than a computer game. The standard missions (merging traffic flows for arrivals on a specific runway) is a very common ATC task, and shows how challenging it can be to get a set of planes into a "string of pearls". The emergency scenarios add tasks that aren't part of the daily routine. Suggestions: SFO and DFW scenarios, and maybe separate scenarios for the controllers merging incoming streams of traffic.

awesome. very well made and makes u actually feel like an air traffic controller controlling the busy airspace above. my only problem with this is that i fear it will run out of compatibility in the future because the last update was over three years ago would love a few updates: - continental no longer exists - cactus no longer exists - more airlines please so far there are only a few

Amazing. This app is amazing! I don’t know how the developer crammed so much great stuff into this sim. On top of all the detailed controls you get for interacting with the aircraft, there is great voice recognition! Not only that, but the sim is fairly easy to learn - even without the wonderful tutorials. The options for creating your own scenarios are almost limitless, and you can make each scenario as easy or as challenging as you want. This sim just doesn’t get boring. I’ve used it for two years and I still love it. The in-app purchases keep the sim fresh, but you don’t have to buy any of them. Once you buy the sim it’s yours forever, and I might just keep playing it forever!

Absolutely Exquisite. This is without question the finest Air Traffic Control game out there. I have played many, and this is the end of my search for the best. Additionally the developer is very responsive to any comments or suggestions you might have.

Voice commands?. Not sure why everyone is rating this so high for voice commands, Voice Commands work about 50% of the time. Voice is essentially useless in this game. My recommendation would be to get the $2.99 version of this app, because Voice Commands do not work well enough to rely on them. I use voice dictation on my computer, my iPad and iPhone, and none of them has any problem understanding me. I can dictate entire paragraphs with no errors (I dictated this review), but this app can't understand three words that I'm saying? Absolutely not worth $10.

Update. Still playing and enjoying the app. My previous review is still correct. Would like to see a few new sectors. Maybe…SEA, ATL, MCO, MIA, IAH.

Voice control works great. I really like the voice control. It works well and the practice area is great. The game itself is challenging and intense. I can only imagine what real air traffic controllers must go through. Great game!

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!. I thought most i pad games were mildly amusing at best, well this one has me hooked, well worth the price, I can't stop playing it, as it is fun and challenging.I simply love the real world application of planes following SIDS and STARS, Thais is awesome! The voice command works surprising ingle well, though not perfect, it works well.i would like to see more airports, like KBUR, KLGB,KONT,KSAN,KSNA,KOAK,KSEA,PANC,PHNL,KMSP,just to name a few, I'd like to see more general avaition aircraft in the mix.I would love to see Alaska, and horizon, surf air PC12s for the west coast would be awesome.

Realistic and amazing. Excellent game, realistic and never gets old. I like that you can speed up the game when waiting to make the next command. Good tutorials. Great strategy simulation and works on your spatial reasoning skills. Can’t say enough good things about the ATC voice.

Keeps getting better. I'd rated an earlier release at five stars, and I only regret that I can add no additional stars for this release. I really appreciate the addition of the Dallas-Ft. Worth and Chicago areas. I do miss the old voices though; the new ones have accents reminiscent of a New Zealand Cary Grant. Keep up the great work!

My one and only most favorite game on iPad!!!. Listen, this game right here? Is my favorite game of all time on the iPad!!! Period! There isn’t another game that even comes close to the fun and hours spent. I love airplanes and everything about flight and this game literally turns me into an air traffic controller where I use my voice to help land planes. There isn’t another game out there as realistic as this and I literally feel like an air traffic controller. It’s a puzzle game, a strategy game, and a role-playing game all at the same time. No other game that I have come across does all these things together and extremely well. Whoever the developer is for this game, you made a masterpiece like none other. Seriously, I have never reviewed a game in my life. This is my first one. I am so impressed by the developer of this game to make it fun, exciting, and realistic. I can’t believe the number of hours I spend on this game. Seriously, the developers are are an absolute genius in creating this environment for armchair air traffic controller‘s to feel like they’re in the game. It’s challenging, makes you think, but at the same time you end up getting absorbed into the puzzle of how to manage all these planes in the sky in a structured order to all get them to land safely without interfering with one another. The game developer has definitely managed to capture the anticipation and suspense and gives the controller an eye into what it’s like being an air traffic controller and the stress is these men and women have to deal with in dealing with peoples lives in real time. I’m ranting here and maybe I’m gonna just shut up. 999 for this game is a steal just download it and play it I’m sureYou’re going to love it.

Gem of a sim game. I really love this atc . I was hesitant to buy it because I have a raspy voice and thought my commands would not be recognized, but I was happy to see it understood me most of the time :) I'd like to suggest a transparency slider when the compass appears around a plane when it is selected and also airport diagrams as reference. Fabulous game, one annoyance. This game has provided dozens of hours of pure enjoyment since I bought it last week!! The game play and options don't seem to end..many many many great challenging scenarios. The only issue is with how much it drains my iPad Air battery. After a few hours of play I lose more than 80% battery. Other than that....GET THIS GAME...and plug it into an AC outlet for hours of non stop fun!!

BY FAR the best ATC SIM!. Phenomenal job! We'll worth the money. I can't stress what a great job you guys did. Just a few ideas that could make the game even more fun: Add more fixes on the approach (ILS, VOR, RNAV ect?) have a final approach fix? Approach gate On handoffs, can planes communicate checking in? Have ATIS information. Control planes by clearing them to depart a fix on a heading? Have the frequencies for tower and center? Traffic advisories? Have planes able to maintain visual separation? Have at least one DP? Have a little more weather? Maybe thunderstorms? Have other VFR traffic not under control?

Hours of fun - update killed pilot voices. I've been playing this game for years and have always loved it. Different challenges keep the game interesting for me. I LOVE this game. However, part of the fun has been having the pilots confirm the commands issued. This update has affected the pilot voices speed. It makes some sound normal, but others sound as if the pilot is mentally challenged. Changing the speed slider may help this, but others end up sounding like a chipmunk. This is a great game. I hope the next tweak fixes this.

Very realistic, highly recommended!. This is an amazing app, the developer has done a fantastic job! It's extremely realistic, the voice control works surprisingly well, and I like that there are real airlines unlike some other apps. Thanks for adding Southwest Airlines! Maybe a future feature could be Ground control at busy airports? More ARTCC's like ZDC (Washington) or ZOB (Cleveland) would be awesome! The ability to add your own airports to the game using satellite maps would be awesome.

Very realistic. As a pilot, I can tell you that this game is extremely accurate to real-life ATC operations. Bought the sim hesitantly because of the $20 price tag and don't regret it. To the developer, we payed good money for this app, please create more regions. I would love to have the ability to play at Chicago O'Hare and Midway!

Can’t get enough of this game. I play almost no games anymore, but a commercial flight enthusiast I still am!! Hoping for more airports… This is a great game to escape the frustrations of airline travel. I would buy this game again!!

Well worth the money. Being a pilot in real life I enjoy seeing how the other side operate and have a lot of respect for those that work at the ATC facilities. I'm not sure how realistic the radar set up is since I've never toured a real facility but the phraseology is as close as you can get with voice recognition. Very cool game I've sat here and played Los Angeles sector for hours! St. Louis would be another awesome sector to create!

Worth the price, challenging and fun. Follow along from airport to airport, mission to mission, because the challenges are intentional in that order. Super realistic. I have not attempted voice however. For future airports, I hope they try Atlanta. But I’d want it to include PDK, LZU (class D, towered), but also add small planes to the mix, and consideration of separation (no small planes flying immediately under large ones). Traffic at a place like LZU can be intense, Lear Jets, twins, while trainers doing touch and goes or local small airport training runs. Managing different approach speeds, levels of experience, lots of no contact situations (because newbie pilot isn’t following instructions). Also missing are hold locations. In critical situations, pilots are sent to hold at a certain altitude/location, where they loop until told. In lots of these emergency scenarios, you have to manage that yourself, making you the de facto PIC. Not realistic. However, it’s still a lot of fun and worth the price.

Outstanding! Airplane Geeks Rejoice!. I'm very impressed! I've bought many ATC games over the last couple of years, and this takes it to a new level. I'm a big airplane enthusiast, and the voice recognition really sells the experience here. Having to speak to the airplanes adds a new level of challenge and realism, and gets my heart pumping on the HARD difficulty levels. Voice control works quite well with only occasional misses. Very well done!

My opinion. The product is defective. Voice commands do not work and I am an experienced instrument pilot with thousands of hours.. Avoid it.

Good but phraseology issues.. The game itself is great and the commands are very responsive. It is a bit of an issue to register the commands if you have a case on your ipad but it is to be expected. The only issue I have with the game is a bit of the phraseology that the pilots respond with is a bit off. One instance is when you clear a pilot direct to a point, such as rocki, they read back with "cleared direct rocki, then as filed". The issue with this is that the "then as filed" function is only used when the flight plan is first being created and then being cleared by Clearance delivery on the ground, or ATC in the air (if they are transitioning from IFR to VFR). Once they are in the air on an established flight plan as cleared by ATC, and they are vectored off it, to get them back on their route, the controller would say "cleared direct rocki, then resume own navigation" assuming rocki was a set point on their cleared flight plan. If the "then as filed" function was used while in flight, it would negate any changes ATC would have made to the flight plan, using what the pilot may have requested and not what was cleared originally by ATC. The moral of the story is the game is good and works well, just has some minor phraseology flaws, so use it as practice but not as a training tool as to not develop bad habits. Fix the minor phraseology issues for 5 stars. Thanks for all the hard work.

Fantastic App!. I have limited time as an actual pilot and it eye-opening to see things from the ATC perspective. But at the end of the day, this is pure addictive fun!!!! I love the voice command option and nearly infinite scenarios. Buy it!

One of the most challenging and fun games. I’m not a gamer by any means, but I do love playing this game. It’s so challenging and appears very realistic. I highly recommend this highly-addictive game, well-designed and entertaining games.

Challenging. As a pilot, I have always been on the other side of the field. I used to play an ATC game on a commodore in the 70's. This is the best I've seen. A challenge to all skill levels.

Great game. Fun ATC game that helps pass time. Game speed/simulation rate is great for either passively playing or really intensely testing yourself. Worth the price. Only drawback is no San Francisco Bay Area, which I hope they add in the future, even as an add-on.

Voice quality horrible. I pay 10 bucks for this game and then the voice commands don’t even work, which was the only thing I liked in the trailer

I would love to see Newark Houston Cleveland and maybe even some smaller airports like Bradley international in Connecticut. Wow. Great game. Challenging and fun. I have to concentrate like crazy. Thats what it must be like to be a real air traffic controller. Love to control the air planes with my voice, instead of touch. I am very impressed with how well the voice control works. I speak with an accent, but the game has no problems whatsoever. Well designed and realistic. Improvements of the new addition are appreciated.

Fun but painfully frustrating. There is no way ATC is like an arcade game. You’ve got traffic just mix matched everywhere. The career mode is extremely frustrating and nearly impossible! I like the ability to hold aircraft and use voice control. Very difficult to “stack” aircraft though. It’s like a free range anything goes type game.

Glitched game. I like the game, but several times I call one call sign and a totally different aircraft answers, Also, the aircraft you are calling needs to give a little more time Before read-back. Usually doesn’t let you finish just because you take a breath. Kills the instructions to the aircraft. Fix those and it would be 5 stars from me.

Fun and a great challenge too. I love this game. User can set up to whatever difficulty they want. Number of arrivals and departures, how many airports, etc. are all options. The user interface is excellent, touch control and options feel very natural and are efficient. I am not using voice control yet because I usually play in situations where I can't be speaking....on airplanes going someplace. It is higher cost than most games, but nothing else brings such a dynamic challenge. This is worth the cost. I'm not playing a 'game', I'm simulating time-dependent spacial relationships between 3-dimensional variable magnitude vectors!! Serious stuff, right...but a blast and addictive.

Excellent game. This game is at the high end of the price bracket but worth it in the fact you can now talk ATC rather than drag and drop with fingers. I found once i started it was difficult to stop as i was enjoying myself so much. Looking forward to seeing some other sectors other than America come out hopefully London or hometown Australian airports would be nice. Also would be nice to have real life data so the time you play real aircraft data is in the game, If your into aviation give it a go....

Very good implementation!. (I played a few hundred hours of a very realistic, voice-capable sim called "Air Traffic Control Centre", back in the 1990's, so I was very excited to see this App released) *This is my updated review, after much more time with the game* First of all, the presentation is very good. You can adjust many of the visual settings too -- have a look in the Settings tab. The pilots read back their instructions with a robotic-sounding (but understandable) voice, which is a nice touch. There seems to be several different voices. Sometimes you hear a female pilot, and I'm 100% sure that one guy has a Scottish accent! Also, they don't always say things the exact same way, they'll slip a "Roger" in there, rephrase things, etc. - which is a very nice touch. The game plays well and has a surprising amount of depth and detail for an iOS game. You will handle departures and arrivals, including handing planes off to Center or the tower. It's all wrapped up with a nice front-end, achievements, scoring (XP points haha), and basic statistic tracking. I was impressed! The slower and easier levels are actually fairly boring (even with the Time Speedup), but it's necessary to become fluent with the voice commands and touch controls, before you attempt the busier sectors. I haven't played the hardest scenarios properly yet, but things are getting more difficult as I progress through the Career mode. The voice control is now giving me about 80% accuracy. This is surprisingly good, and means I only have to touch the screen from time to time. Overall, the terminology, phrases and concepts in this game are all very realistic considering this is running on iOS - it steers away from being too "game-like" which is great. The feeling of controlling air traffic in a sim is quite unlike any other games -- it's long periods of contentment as your planes dutifully line up as you've told them, interspersed by brief periods of terror as you frantically turn or descend planes to avoid collisions and make everything "work". This App is helped by the "speed up time" feature, which makes it easy to skip through the slower parts. Even though this type of sim won't appeal to everyone, this game makes it easy for new players to get used to the concepts and commands. The tutorials progress at a steady pace, starting right from the basics, and of course are completely optional. Finally, I sent a couple of comments and suggestions to the developer, and he has been very responsive and friendly. I can tell he is committed to improving his already-fantastic game! Overall, good work! And I'm glad I could support development of a solid ATC sim on iOS.

Respect to the real ATC guys and girls.. Great game and simulator. The voice control is very cool, gives that realistic feel. Most times i don't get the sentence right and have to repeat which can be frustrating if you're in a stressful situation but prob me not pronouncing right and even Siri sometimes can't understand me so this game does a pretty good job. Worth the money and really makes you respect the atc controller in how hard their job is.

Great fun!. Very addictive and challenging. Voice controls make it very realistic, but inevitably you find yourself manually controlling them!

How to know?. The biggest problem this app has is that the cheaper version isn't an example of this version of the game it's a dead end fork, in which case you can't try before you buy this app - which is much much better, even without the voice included. I also had a fear that the same might happen to this app (ie. no further development). Not sure what to do with the other cheaper version, however a single level free version of this game would probably lead to a lot more sales! I have never spend this much on a game before, but for me it was worth the money. Not sure how you can decide, sorry.

Très réaliste. Jeu est très bien conçu, se rapproche beaucoup de la réalité. Reconnaissance vocale fonctionne aussi très bien. Une connaissance de base en navigation aéronautique est un atout si non ce jeu est un excellent apprentissage au métier de contrôleur aérien, c'est du moins le jeu qui s'en approche le plus. Je n'ai rencontré aucun bug. Le tuto est bien expliqué. Le langage est aussi comme dans le monde réel de l'aviation en anglais... Le prix est un peu élevé mais le vaut bien, plusieurs heures de plaisir.

Excellent Sim for ATC. I spent hours playing this game, and it’s very very challenging and enjoyable, and with the new fighters that have been attached to it as a larger dimension to this game.

Fun Game. I found this game very fun to play. I would like to see a bug fix that enables planes to line up on final approach better instead of oscillating back and fourth across the approach path.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, WON'T RECOGNIZE YOUR VOICE. Voice recognition does not work. When I spoke it recognized the words as nothing even close to what I said and it does not learn your voice. Huge waste of money!!!!! Don't buy!!

Exceptionally high quality sim. First, in general, this application is easily among the highest of quality of any genre to be found in the app store (opinion based on experience with a few hundred apps or so). As a veteran software professional, I would imagine the effort behind this application to be of a content- and quality-focused, engineering-led nature. This opinion is intended as the highest of praise. As an aviation enthusiast (with a strong life long interest but no qualifications or professional capacity), after several months of use, I find my sessions in this sim to be no less engaging and immersive than ever; if fact, even more so as my "skill" increases. While I recognize in afterthought the absence of any number of real-world tasks, procedures, subtleties, or nuances in my sessions, I genuinely don't know what lies ahead in more challenging levels. The last thought above leads indirectly to what is probably the most negative thing I could conjure up to say about this sim... As a rule I have a strong preference for any aircraft, real or simulated, to have an equal number of takeoffs and landings, unless in flight and happy. As such, I attain the greatest satisfaction and sense of "accomplishment" when a session ends with all of my flights either on the ground, or handed off. The sim offers the feature of alternate endpoints for a session (accrual of a specified number of "points", or specified time duration). This provides an excellent means of dipping ones' toes into the waters of more challenging scenarios than usual. However, in such cases, the endpoint feels abrupt, despite being exactly what was asked for. This is silly, but it'd be "comforting" to be informed that Sally or Bob is prepared to take over, then be assured that your flights are in good hands when your turn is up. I've just realized that when flying solo in a flight sim I'll merrily do incredibly stupid things with no regard to "safety". Yet, here's a sim that has me concerned about "flights" that don't even exist as a data structure anymore. Oh, and the speech generation/recognition (which may well in fact be the underpinning of the above sentiments) is (for the given hardware / platform / purpose / cost) utterly amazing. I bought an iPad for X-Plane and to make noise by various means. For me, the next best thing to working on this app would be for it to be developed further such that buying newer hardware would be mandated as basic necessity.

Terrific app. Worth every penny. Have played many ATC sims over the years by way of perspective. This one is a winner! Not sure I'd want to run it on my smartphone, but it shines on my iPad.

Nearly Perfect. Great ATC app worth the money. Only recommendation for improvement is to add more weather conditions other than wind.

Hours of fun!. Of so many ATC games I tried on iPad, this one by far is the best of all. Hope they will keep adding new airspace, like KSFO and or other international airports.

Played for 30 minutes. Can’t put it down. This game is just what I was looking for: a realistic ATC game. The voice commands work remarkably well; when they don’t, consider how often real ATC radio commands go unheard or misunderstood! For anyone with some basic knowledge of ATC terminology (mine gleaned not as a pilot, but as a listener to ATC on United’s channel 9 audio, and to LiveATC.net), you’ll get the hang of it quickly. But that’s not the real challenge—the real challenge is in managing planes in tight airspace at different altitudes, directions, etc. It gets challenging quickly—but not so much that you want to give up. Bottom line: if you’re fascinated by ATC, this is a great game.

They screwed up a great game.. This was my favorite i-pad game, then on Jan 3 , 2017 they upgraded it and now it crashes every time within the first 90 seconds. They hosed up the pilot voices as well. Boo.

Hands down. Little expensive but this app is very good,v sometimes the pilots down understand me but heck such is life also. Very good app almost looks real. I love the challenge of the winds changing causing runway changes. Nice job guys

Awesome. I am an Air Traffic Controller at DFW TRACON. This is by far the best air traffic control game out there. Ive spent hours at a time playing this game. Very addicting.

Awesome! I love it. I'm a big aviation geek and I just love this game. It feels way better and more realistic than the other ATC games out there. Well worth the $10! Thank you for this game.

Mic lag. Five stars as far as I'm concerned, the only thing is, is that just recently the mic will not respond
