Pipe Trades Pro Calc App Reviews

Quit working. Well I thought this app would be a great tool to have, instead of carting along a separate calculator. It just quits working for no apparent reason and I can't find an update. Also it will only allow you to open it on I tunes not re download the app.

Pipefitter review. I have been using Pipetrade Pro, both as an app and as the calculator, for well over eight years. I teach Advanced Offsets and tube bending. All student are given Pipetrade Pro calculators at the beginning of class. By the conclusion of the semester, all students have purchased Pipetrade Pro for use in the field. There isn’t a better tool for a Pipefitter.

Update problem. The update locked up the screen today. I hit any key and nothing happens. Please fix, I use this app daily.

One Great Tool. If your like me and do a lot of measurements in feet and inches then this is the one for you. Easy to use and has a built-in user manual. It also does other things to but haven’t gone that far with it. Money well spent.

Doesn’t work properly. Freezes up in the middle of using it…

Subscription?. I’ll just carry my calculator around. Monthly/yearly subscriptions is actually insane. I’m good✌🏽

Not free. The store says nothing about a required monthly payment to use. I’m not sure how much “development” this app is doing since it’s a calculator. What a waste of time downloading it.

Plumbing made easy. Live this calculator, first heard about it from the plumbers and pipe fitters union. Most all the journeyman have this calculator in their toolbox.

Great calculator. I bought my first pipe trade calculator about 7 years ago. This app is especially handy for calculating any pipe problems in the field.

Need Orientation Support. Using this app for years, great app. But lets get it so it will rotate with the orientation of the phone/ipad!!!

Needs a Subscription to use.. I have the calculator. I just downloaded on my phone to have that too and realized it’s now subscription based. The calculator is great but not enough for me to pay repeatedly for the same thing. I’ll keep using the calculator and delete the app.

LU533. Good calculator, however now making it a subscription based thing is sad and disappointing. I feel for the up and coming workers that are getting the short end, especially the 2 locals in my city that helped design it…

Updates. All you have to do deleted from your phone and reinstall it it works great with the new update

Great product but never pay subscription. This is the best pipe calculator but I will never pay a subscription. This should be sold outright.

Developer replied to my comment. If you want me to stay with you charge me a one time fee of what a normal physical pipe trade pro calculator would cost at a store if you want tack on 5$ but I will not pay a monthly subscription and nor will my union brothers

Home Depot sells for $35. So why would I spend $35 EVRY SINGLE YEAR ON THIS GARBAGE APP, when I can walk into Home Depot and BUY ONE for $35 ONCE. Not every single year!! Some people are just Dumb.

Rip off. You can buy the physical calculator for 60 dollars and take it anywhere… a lot of plant don’t allow phones. Used to be a great app the subscription ruined it for all

Used to be a one time payment. I have this calculator on my phone and it only cost me to buy the app. Now they want to charge you every year. Just buy the actual calculator instead of the app

It’s a great app BUT. It’s a really great for the most part cuts down on a lot of time spent doing math, I am a plumbing apprentice and it helps simplify things but it should be a one time purchase instead of a $40 a year subscription just feels like robbery, they know once you try it you’ll want to keep and they can keep getting money off you

Awesome product. Been using various CI products for quite a few years now. Very happy I can have them on my iPhone instead of worrying if I forgot or can't find a calc.

Master Plumber here, this app rules!. I read a plumber’s bad review just before making this one, he’s nuts.... I use this app every single day in the field. Makes life and plumbing so much faster. I love to be accurate, no stove piping on my watch! This Calc speeds things up and has opened my brain to a lot of stuff I never used before. I do a lot of bending. (Well as much as I can get my hands on) and finding angles and offsets with this app is a total life saver and actually makes things most plumbers are scared to do, the most fun things to do! I hated math for a long time but after using this I’ve taught myself a lot of new tricks and plumbing skills. You just need to spend some time with the app, and really it’s not hard to use at all. I’d give it 15 stars but there’s only 5.

Terrible update. Since the update the calculator is dead. None of the functions work. What's the deal!? Edit: Received an email from tech support and all I had to do was delete the app and reinstall it. It's working fine now.

Yearly cost!! Really!!. I own the actual calculator but would love to have on my phone. I’m willing to pay 40 for the app but not every year! Come on calculated industries, make it a 1 time cost and many more will buy. I work in the pipe industry and this holds a lot of people back from buying app.

Don't Waste Your Money - You Cannot Get A Refund. This app is not what I thought it would be for plumbing. It's geared towards welders. It's hard to understand and use. Apple will not give you a refund after you purchase it. Buyer beware.

A bit confused... Your immediate response to people that have made the purchase “in the past” is that their purchase is safe and that they don’t have to keep paying for it. But it still doesn’t iron out the inconvenience of having to pay every month/year, for those such as myself. I think the point that all of us that find it being an issue is that it should be a one-time purchase, for all it’s worth.

Fractions causing error. This last update caused an issue When adding or subtracting fractions, an error message appears. Please fix.

Monthly Subscription 👎. Would 100% spend money on this app if it wasn’t subscription based, recommend y’all to just buy a handheld.

Back Button. I love this calculator! Makes my life a lot easier. The only thing I wish they had was a back button to erase any wrong inputs. Having to erase all my math for imputing the wrong button is kind of frustrating at times.

What is wrong!!?. Since the latest update, nothing works on my calculator properly, like it used to. When I hit clear, the convert button happens.. So I factory reset the app.. Still can't use fractions at all.. Just gives math error.. Please fix this for 5 stars which is what this app should get.

Fraud. I purchased this app outright for $25. Now the app has been discontinued unless I agree to pay double that per year in subscription fees. This should be illegal.

The Best!!!. This calculator has really helped me in the pipe trades. I am not that good in math, but this makes it really simple.

This tool is a necessity. Pipe fitters, I recommend this app to you who run the numbers as a profession and craft. Of course this won't help you everywhere. Refineries and other places that do not allow cell phones on site will be the only downfall to this app. Other than that, you can't go wrong purchasing.

Greedy. So I paid for this app with my old phone, it was 25 to own this app. Why must we now pay a monthly fee. I will carry my reggyCalculator with me. Y’all need to go back to the way it was, 25 or 35 $ to have this on our phones. I hope people sees this and y’all loss money from now on. GreedDestroying the peoples who used this stuff.

Pipefitter. Hi Today I worked on 60" steel schedule 80 pipe ... Yesterday it was a 1" schedule 120 stainless steel lube oil line... Yes, I'm a pipefitter! You advertise your product as "Pro" when it clearly is not. In fact, I can't even select these items or sizes. Just a tad bit disappointed in your clearly false claims!

PPPro calculator. Few years ago I bought calculator for pipe trade. Today my calculator is blocked ,instead I see on the screen demanding pay again.Please let me access for what I paid once , as was promised for life.

Nothing works. Now it is not working at all. When I touch numbers they do not show.

Now requires subscription. Used this app for years on android and loved it. Switched to iPhone and now we have to pay a subscription fee instead of the flat 25.00 price. Why is it free on android but you have to pay on apple products?

Pipefitter. The calculator from what I hear is a very good purchase. First thing I see wrong is you have to pay $39.99 every year. I bought one from my union training center for $54 one time purchase. Second thing is for someone that doesn’t know how to use this item it should be a class over how to use it. I want to buy it for my phone but don’t want to pay that price every year.

Pipes trade pro. I had the same problem I deleted the app and downloaded it again seems to be back to normal.

Disappointed. I had this app on my android and it was a one time cost, now it’s a subscription. I think I’ll pass and just use the actual calculator given to me. Another company all about the money.

Welder. This app is a terrible wast of time and money.

Total Scam. I physically own the pipe trades pro calculator and it is one of the greatest tools at my disposal. However, it is sometimes inconvenient to carry it the whole time on the job site. Hence why I downloaded the app since I always have my phone on me. I used to hear stories that this app had a one time fee and they changed to a subscription because the developers got greedy. I had to see for myself and by god this subscription is a total scam. Why would I pay almost $40 every year for a calculator when I’m better off just having the physical one? I think I’d rather just carry the actual calculator because I work hard for my money and I’m sure everyone here with the same opinion does too. By the way, you can buy the calculator on Amazon for like $50.

Subscription Really. Pipe trades pro have total ruined this app. How can they charge $39.99 a year. Not worth that amount at all. I would be fine with paying a one time fee. Thanks a lot. I’m sure I’m not the only pipe fitter who thinks this is ASININE…….

Already bought it on my old phone and they want a monthly fee now.. I get you can log in with your Apple ID and restore purchases, but what if you bought it fully on an android and now have an iPhone??
