Wish this app worked on Apple Watch. This app would be awesome if it worked for the Apple Watch. Please add support for apple's multi peer connectivity framework for MESH networking. Would also be nice if this app also could work over a local wifi network also.

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE. Does what it says. Not the prettiest interface but I can't complain. Great for talking to people with no wifi (On a boat cruise for example) Overall great app ! 👍

amazing. you would really enjoy this app if you got it(: you mine as well get it when it`s free. it works without wifi but you have to keep the Bluetooth on. my sister & I tried it. I got a number & she put it in on her iPod. then it worked. you should get this app.

Randomly fails to send your messages without showing any error. Very unreliable and no way to tell whether your message was delivered or not. Don’t waste your time on this app.

Frustrating and unreliable. Worked once at home. Once we actually got somewhere without cell coverage, it could send messages in one direction but not the other, making my wife think I was ignoring her. Really annoying.

Great for traveling abroad. Before we went to Cuba, we downloaded the Bluetooth texting app Air Chat. It is good for talking with your partner at loud concert spaces, from the front to the back of a bus or van, or at a busy dinner table. Like “what are you ordering” or “Can you believe this loudmouth?” In Cuba wifi is quite tricky to use. The Bluetooth solution was great. I tested all three Bluetooth chat apps and the free ‘Air Chat’ is far and away the best.

Airchat. Absolutely amazing. It really works.

Used to work ok, not at all now. Has never been great but it used to work. Now, not so much. We downloaded a different app for the same purpose and it worked instantly.

Worked great on airplane. Used on airplane to communicate with family. Worked great.

At a basic level. This is a high quality app for what it does. I found no struggle in opening the app , i instantly discovered compatible devices that met requirements for discovery. The only thing missing is innovation. Thanks for the app!

Handy for flights without WiFi!. This app is super handy for when you and friends/family are on flights without WiFi and not sitting by each other :)

Works perfectly for me. My gf and I used it on a flight and it was flawless. Our phones were running iOS 15

Great App for Bluetooth messaging... One upgrade would be great. I love the app interface, it's very basic and easy to use. The one thing I would like to have is the ability to create group chats... I am using this app on a cruise with two friends and I would love to create a chat with the both of them, instead of two separate chats.

Travel chat. My friend and I used this on a flight in which we weren't sitting next to each other. (We checked with FCC regulations and found out it was cool to use Bluetooth devices once at cruising altitude). Just wished they would add Apple Watch functionality ;)

Loved it!. The only Bluetooth messenger that actually worked and I really didn’t expect it to work, but I mean I shouldn’t be surprised since I was just two rooms away but yeah

Worked for one device but not others. I tried it on my iPod just to see if it worked, and it did. So then I went to try it on my sister’s devices because that’s where I actually wanted to use the app, and it wouldn’t recognize my sister’s iPads. They were also sitting right next to eachother.

Perfect for Flying. I love this app and use it every time I fly with my family. We don’t always get to sit together on the plane and there’s rarely any WiFi on the flight that lets you send messages. This app is the perfect solution. We just leave our Bluetooth on and we can stay in touch the entire flight.

Awesome App (Helpful Tip). This app is awesome! Great for chatting with people when you’re trying to have a private conversation in public... good local communicator. I wish you guys would add support for sending and receiving messages while the device is locked, as well as replying. Would also like to send pictures and attachments! Otherwise, awesome app!

No group chat. Nice for chatting one on one but lack of group chat feature isn’t ideal

It works as expected!. At first my messages weren’t being received by the other user, but then I uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked. Happy so far :)

Get this app !!. This app is really cool you can text some one in range of maybe 10 feet with just bluetooth! The range should be upgraded tho but its a great app !!

Flying Buddy. I am flying out to Idaho but I can’t sit with my parents. I will use this app to keep in touch with them.

Text via Bluetooth. App walked through steps to pair the phones. Could text without any issues over Bluetooth. Would be even better if it support picture texting but overall worked perfect. It let me chat with friends on a plane without service.

Love the concept. Very cool! But bring your own friends. The more people on it the more fun.

Useful Travel App. Recently downloaded the app while on hotel wifi in a foreign country. Have had success with the app thus far and am excited to see the range.

Application Review. Works flawlessly. Only one problem: The message received tone is unchangeable. I changed a sound setting which was the only one using that sound, though it didn't effect the application.

Great App!!. Worked better than any other bluetooth text app I have dowloaded. Connects seamlessly and sends text instantaneously. Very good for use in large meeting rooms and in flights with colleagues. The Only thing missing is that it does not ask for Password to connect to the other device. You should be running the app on both devices to connect. The risk with that is if there are more than 2 users of the app in the room you could connect to them as well. Thumbs Up!!

Won't work.... My friends always chat on this app, but whenever I press new chat, it says Airchat must be running in the device you want to chat with. How do I fix this??

Good app for chatting (Bluetooth). This is a great app. Perfect for it’s job. Thank you to the developers. The only improvement I’d like to request is that the message “typing box” wrap to two lines and a bit. Other than that. The app is simple and perfect. Cheers folks.

Good for talking without wifi. You can use it to talk to people far away and can be used in a power outage to chat to people near your block like your neighbours. I just wish they kept updating it at least i can still use it.

Absolutely works. And works on fifth gen iPod too.. Very simple app, but I was surprised to see it work so well. Doesn’t need access to my contacts like a couple other apps out there (these kinds of apps actually don’t need access to contacts and it’s nice to see this app doesn’t require it). Just pair the devices and they see each other when Bluetooth is on. When the chat is not on the screen, a notification is used to get your attention. This works on my new 7th gen and older 5th gen iPod. This app is simple and works. I’m impressed. I would recommend the author: 1. Add advertisements to encourage development for himself. 2. Add a paid version something like .99 for each device to get rid of the ads and continue development. 3. Add premium features like a mesh network where messages will travel through other units. 4. Maybe a feature where it could function P2P on a local WiFi subnet. I’d pay for this. Great little app. 5. MAKE AN ANDROID VERSION. I tried to find a cross platform app today to use between and android user and myself that didn’t need access to my contacts and I couldn’t find one.
