Great spy app!. Great app for spying or setting up surveillance, I used it to record what animal was breaking into my garbage overnight. Love the detection sensitivity and other controls that allow you to set it to what you need for each situation. Great app!

Only works sometimes and serious issues. intermittent motion detection. could not detect a 14 lbs cat walking up to a food bowl and eating. also the auto focus will constantly capture video when it is dawn or dusk until you stop the app.

Potential. I'm gonna rate 5 stars because I think it has potential, but I've only had it for like 3 minutes but there is no tutorial on how to set it up, now after a while in figures it out, but I consider myself very tech savvy, others might not have the same skills and may be left in a storm of confusion

Blanks out screen. Every time I use the activate button it blanks out my iPad, I have to reset to get it back. Any ideas.

Help?. Where are the directions? What does the button on the bottom of screen in the center do? How do I use power saver mode? Hard to rate something that might work if you only knew how to work it.

Does what it says it does. Set the phone up, pushed the on button within the app and when my pup moved it started recording and automatically stopped about 10 seconds after pup stopped moving and then automatically saved the video to my picture folder. Exactly what I was hoping it would do.. Now to see who keeps getting into the trash when we arent home :o)

Instant Start. From looking at the reviews the current version has gone through some serious updating. I click Bushcam, tap start -- that is it. I now can lay my iPhone down aimed at any target area and walk away using either the front or back camera. If my iPhone is moved, some one walks by, the door opens, any movement in its view, starts the camera silently rolling. If someone finds my iPhone they can not read my mail or even view my desktop but the camera is still silently rolling while they pass it around or look at it. They can't stop the camera unless they set it down and go away. When I return and open my iPhone Bushcam stops and I can view all the videos taken while I was out of the room. Great with remote access because you can see videos in your camera roll.

doesnt work as expected. i have trying to use this app for the past 3 days and im dissapointed 1. powersave mode will toggle off the recording somehow 2. so instead of using powersave mode to switch off the screen, i have decided to leave my ipad screen on the whole day, put the brightness to the lowest and made sure that the recording is on. then when i came back. for the past 12 hours, it recorded nothing. only 1 video that is when i enabled recording in the beginning. when i came back , i looked at the screen, the recording mode is still enabled but its simply not recording anything. really dissapointed and wish to get my money back

Black Screen Great!. This app did just what I wanted it to do. Take video when I leave my area to see who is messing with my stuff. On power saver mode it does this with a black screen, not alerting the perp. Also uses the screen side camera. I prop it up, pointed where I want, plug the headphones in, start it and walk away. It looks like I just abandoned watching videos, not trying to catch someone. Works perfectly!

Awesome. I have to give this app 5 stars. It does everything they promise. It's perfect for indoor use with adequate light. When on, the screen goes dark and when activated, it stays dark. It does eat battery so I suggest keeping it plugged in when in use. It has sensitivity settings and a delay you can set between movements.

Missing one crucial feature. ...volume press to start capturing; just like the camera. Once it's added this is easily five stars.

Crashes after a few minutes. Useless since it crashes

Great but can do better. Itll be great if you can choose your own track or customize the alarm sound and require password to turn off.

absolutely useless... beware fake reviews. useless. it saves to your local and with no outside saving except dropbox... and that doesnt work. no password protection. anyone can just turn on the app and stop it. then erase the footage. no notification or anyway of being notified that motion is being detected. other than just for lulz. this app is completely useless. dont waste your money...

Exactly what motion capture app should be!. I bought this as a quick/easy alternative to buying a dedicated video camera setup, most are over $150. I needed to be able to watch my cats to see if they are behaving badly overnight. I had this app downloaded and testing it within minutes. The motion detection is really good even in mediocre lighting. I like that you can fine tune the settings. I put it on high sensitivity and had 200 videos shot overnight - most were duds but I did see my cats in a few of them. Tonight I’ll turn the sensitivity down so I only have to view a handful of hopefully the right videos. The videos also did not take up a lot of space. I was worried I would use all my empty space, but even on lowest quality I barely hit 1GB of short videos. I’m happy it worked as advertised. I have looked through the App Store for this kind of app and most of them seem to be junk or have not been updated in 3 years. This one is current and works great. It’s simple, easy to use, and works without a lot of extra fluff. Thanks for a great app!

Does the trick. Pretty much does what it says. Thanks, guys. 1. Really stupid and annoying sounds (can be turned off). 2. Crying out for a low-light feature for night-time critters.

Worked fine. I have tested it and so far it works as it suppose too except may go on once or twice for no apparent reason. But no real big deal. Glad I got it, may come in handy.

Use guided Access Mode for stealth. Pretty cool app works pretty good. I can't think of 100 features I'd like, but you know.

Screen glow. The view screen is dimmed when you use Power Save, but it remains On which drains the battery in a few hours. You can see the screen glow in a dark room. Otherwise it is an excellent app.

Great app!. Really well designed motion activated capture system. Can leave phone plugged in and see what's goin on in the garden while I'm out.

basically useless as spycam. Had high hopes for this as a spy cam but it has one fatal flaw -- when it's running, anyone touching the screen wakes the app up, no more dark, and it's clear to anyone they're being recorded. They need to make it harder to wake the app up that way -- like a secret tap, motion, or spot. Because otherwise the app is useless as a spy cam.

Password protect please.. Everything seems to work as stated. I'm disappointed there is no password lockout though. Anybody comes up they have open access to your phone.

Great app!. I always wanted to know what my dog was doing when he's home alone. Now I can spy on him with my own phone, and it's so easy to use!

Crap App. It does NOT record like it says it will. I played with it's settings for a good while and came to realize that if you don't hit the "record" button, it's superfluous. It just takes up space on your phone and it falls under the category of "false advertising." I could be wrong, but if I am, it's because the producers made the app setting way too complicated. Again - CRAP APP

No telltale sign that it's recording. I looked at the other motion detector apps, and it seems that this is the only one where there are no telltale signs like the red light on the screen when the screen is turned off in the power save mode. Works as described. The settings menu is accessed by those three lines at the bottom right corner of the screen. The only settings that are important are the sensitivity, the idle time, in the Power Save. The sensitivity should be left at 80%; if it is set to very high like 100%, the noise in the camera sensor is enough qualify as motion and to keep the app on. The idle time is the length of time the the app will continue recording after it has stopped detecting any motion. The power save when turned on will make the screen go black. This is great when you are using the screen-side camera so that it is facing the room (it's easy to point and frame the scene that way). All videos taken are found in the camera roll. By the way, yes, you have to turn the app on for it to start its motion detector surveillance. One note: when you use the screen side camera, the video comes out "mirror image". Some thing to fix in the next update?

Great program. Great app. Be sure to watch videos. Just recorded a moving object that was 254 feet from camera.

User. Works perfectly...wish it could stream in real time from a notification sent to me once motion has been detected. But I definitely like the spy features, no one is the wiser. They just think my extra phone or iPad is charging.

Effective. I use this app to keep track of who is entering my elderly parents apartment. Setup and linking to DropBox were easy. My only complaint is the motion sensitivity setting that triggers the camera to record is counter intuitive. High sensitivity means the camera is less sensitive to motion and low sensitivity means the camera highly sensitive to motion. Brilliant.

This would be a 5 star app if.... The black screen feature wasn't so obvious that you were recording something in case someone inspects it. There is the camera flip option and some other things that makes it obvious an app in running

Drains my battery. I like the app but I keep setting it up and coming back in a few hours to find that the battery drained after a short time and then the "low battery" alert came on -- blowing my cover. Why is it draining the battery just being on stand by? Would love it if a developer saw this and responded. Thanks.

Great.. Screen size optimization iPhone 11 :/. It is a very functional app and is worth a try, but the screen optimization for iPhone 11 needs to be updated.

I love the new update. Not only can you record with a black screen, you can now also sync them with Dropbox. Great for monitoring my cats while I'm at work.

Deleted cause of the "New" Icon design. Should have just left the Icon alone... The gray•ish design is unattractive and unappealing... BUT the app does work nicely... But I'm petty and into art & design & color and NOW that app has no place on my iPhone screen... If you guys ever decide to go back with the old or redesign the app Icon i will re-download the app to phone and change the rating... Until then it wont be missed on my phone

It does work. Other reviewers are idiots. I wasn't planning on reviewing this app. But I just so happened to come across it in the App Store and out of curiosity I looked at the reviews. I don't know what problems other people have had but it works well for me. There is no shortage of crap apps in the App Store but this app doesn't fall under that category. I've had it on my 4s for well over a year. Probably more like two years. I don't use it much but when I do it works. Motion activated recording with an optional high pass filter and adjustable sensitivity controls. Even has a "Rick Roll" setting that I won't spoil for you. Just turn it on if you get the app. If I had to guess, I'd say that the reviews claiming it doesn't work are from reviewers who maybe have some issues with paranoia who have convinced themselves of something despite the lack of motion activated recordings being recorded therefore it must be the app that is broken and not their mind. Who knows but the bottom line is that it does work.

Great game camera. Good motion detection. Good game camera. Took pictures of hummingbirds at a feeder. Worked great.

must buy. if you need motion detective, you have to buy it. if the iphone is stolen, the data is safe. bcz this app is conect dropbox and icloud link. i use D-link web cam but this d-link cam use Sd card, somebody sometime stolen. i cant check data log.

There's an uninvited guest in my kitchen at night. Since this is anonymous, I'll say it: I have a mouse AND a rat. And judging from the rat's behavior around the have-a-heart trap, that this app RECORDED FOR ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, I suspect it knows the trap. And I never would have suspected that there's a mouse too! What a cool app! THANKS GUYS!!! I have to get to work on my little problem now...

No updates in 3 years. Cambush works fine. But it could be better. That makes the lack of an update in 3 years a bit of a red flag for me.

Works great!. Set up my iPad overnight to figure out how Eek the mouse gets in and out of the kitchen. Left the kitchen light on overnight and plugged in the device. Set the sensitivity to high. Rewarded with 79 video segments of 3 to 25 seconds between midnight and 5:30 am. Most were of Eek exploring for and eating crumbs on the floor. The most valuable showed him darting under the dishwasher and cabinet drawers. He climbed up the drawers like a ladder to the counter. The motion detector did not begin quite early enough to show him emerge, but that is okay, we know enough. The video was good enough to post an amusing minute on Facebook. Next we can set up the Tin Cat, which will capture Eek harmlessly, then we put barriers on his secret entries. Thanks a million!

Great application I love it.. I love the fact that it does what it says, it also records in all resolutions, I love recording in 1080p. One suggestion would be to add picture snaps triggered by movement, if it detects movement, it would be nice for it to be able to snap a picture of the object avery second, or even better, have that as an option in the settings so that we can decide how fast it snaps pictures. Difficult to get running. Unfortunately this app isn't saving video to my photo collection. I purchased it last night and this morning it indicated 14 videos had been captured. But none apparently saved to the photo album or otherwise preserved for viewing. This is on my old 4s... *update* After several deletes hard resets and reinstalls, the program seems to be working.

Useless for my use case. Completely useless for my use case. I want to record a subject from close distance with a background that has plants moving with the wind. So the app doesn't focus right and keeps recording all the time because the movement in the background. I'm rating the app 2 stars because this would be easily solved by 2 simple changes that are obvious if you put just a little thought on it. This is not a free app, I payed for it and those simple settings should be available: - More control on sensitivity so I can ignore the subtle background movements. - Manual focus so I can specify where I'm trying to shut and where the movement should be detected.

First impressions.. First impressions and the short amount of time that I have used this app - so far so good.

The first time I used a sensor. Does not work on my iPhone 15 pro max it won’t stay on long enough and then you are left stressed out

Not too bad. It would be good if the light could be set to turn on when recording starts and turn off when recording stops.

Lock?. This version of Cambush is working well, but I can no longer lock it so no-one can disable it. Oh Frank, if your stuff is upside down, try turning your device the other way! I love it. It even fires up when wind blows the trees about outside, but I'd like to be able to lock it, as I could on an older iPad.

Cool!. Nothing wrong with it! Works as claimed in App Store description. If people actually need a manual for this then they should maybe stick to games in their league that feature slingshots and upset fowl!!!

Security weakness. This app actually works very well, however it should go to lock screen if touched or moved...... it does not ...... leaving your device open to anyone.

Disappointing, Waste of Time. Potentially an interesting idea but technically it lacks a manual and you can't get it to work. At one point it says go to settings/privacy/photos to turn the photo part on but when you follow this path the app is not listed so you can't turn it on. I had to delete it. Gave it one star only for the concept.

Tutorial. The idea is great but lacks a tutorial to how to actually use it. I couldn't find it anywhere or a help icon. In pretty tech savvy and still having problems understands. I can imagine how bad it would be for not so tech savvy people.

False recordings on auto focus. Every time the camera auto focuses, it starts a recording. Today I had 1800 videos to parse through with only a few having actual movements. PLEASE FIX! Otherwise I just wasted money for this app.

Unbelievably Stupid.. This App is not what it states to be. The developers must have loved the rather stale "Rick Astley" surprise music gag- seen all over YouTube 6 years ago, and decided to waste a bunch of time and talent creating this useless app. Kudos I guess, great job accomplishing nothing... Cool, but wish it locked screen. Just wish it locked screen instead of "swipe to stop" with a quick code or something. It shouldn't be able to be stopped by anyone picking it up. And I would love for it to take pic to go on photo stream to see from computer.

Description not totally accurate. It's kind of okay but when you black out the screen the controls still show. If you have it running and turn the screen off, app quits. So if you really want to be sneaky, don't use this.

Power save mode is not an option..... The power save mode that makes the screen look blank is not an option in the app. There is no way to use this app as it advertised. And even more important the video does not save! There is no way to use this app at all, piece of junk. Save your money.

Sound on longer videos doesn't work. I have try to contact the developer twice now with no response. It's a shame because otherwise it would be a very good app.

Very impressive!. I'd read negative reviews for a lot of other motion capture apps in the App Store, and was becoming concerned that motion capture wasn't something that could be done well in iOS. This app proved that wrong, thank goodness. It is feature-rich and reliable, and has done the job remarkably well for me (on an iPhone 5S) in every respect - I couldn't be happier with it. Even the official YouTube videos on the product's usage are well done and helpful. My appreciation goes to the developers for doing an excellent job of developing and supporting this product.

Rick Roll Rules. This app does every thing I was looking for, except there is no security code when you wake from Power Saver mode. PLEASE GIVE US SECURITY! Love the app!

Misleading title. This app is well designed but I gave it one star coz it won't work when the screen turns off. So forget about spying, I would call it simply a video recorder with motion detection.
