Major Bug. Love the game. I was hooked and made several in app purchases. I played once though until my ipad power drained. I was in the middle of level 19, level 24 Paldrin, and every thing unlocked except two skills. After a recharge, the game prompted to restore from iCloud from where I left off. Now, all levels are locked back to the start. I am still level 24 character. I would have gone ahead and played back up to level 19, but now the game crashes every time I Next past the level selection screen. This happens no matter how many ways I restart the ipad, reinstall the game, etc. the game corrupts itself and cannot recover at this point. I am afraid I have lost my progress and in app purchases as well. I am afraid I have lost my Runes also. I am not deleting my iCloud data and leaving this alone in hopes the dev will email me back quickly with a solution. My rating would be 5 if it were not for this. My ipad is a 3 and fully updated.

READ THIS REVIEW FOR QUALITY DESCRIPTION. This game is just pure excellence on nearly every level. Battlefield strategy at it's finest. Many of the games in the App Store lack true challenge in terms of strategic value. However Heros and Castles created the closest thing I can find to my dream of a true battlefield strategy game. You get to be right there, on the field with your men, killing evil monsters and warriors. You can upgrade them your men, of which there is a sufficient variety. The game is fair, it doesn't advantage or disadvantage you too much. You have a castle to defend, of which you can purchase archers and what not to defend. Your castle walls can just as easily be destroyed as built or rebuilt or upgraded. The tides of war can change in seconds, you can be on the verge of loss and turn it around or be seemingly about to win when it all falls apart. You can build special turrets on your walls to assist your warriors in combat. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE FOR ANY TRUE STRATEGIST. Fin.

Amazing. I love the idea of moba but they are always too slow. Tower def isn't even my thing. I do love RPGs; action, 1st or 3rd top down anything really. Turn bases even. This game; has Beloit the action and fun of third person rpg with tower def, moba and strategy and is fast paces enough for even me. Not quite as fast as bloodline champions or happy wars, which it is closest too gameplay wise etc some positive things, great , in depth customization that doesn't require more cash to play at a decent pace or anything. Ok tl;dr get this game. It's worth more like 5 - 7 bucks. And the two 1$ classes are worth it, being different enough to warrant a purchase in crystal or cash. See you in the battlefield!!!

Can't Play Multiplayer. Every time I try to join my friends game it just crashes! SO FRUSTRATING!

Still a favorite.. This is the only iPad game I have never deleted. It’s endless, SO many levels, and so challenging! But not as frustrating as most money-grubbing mobile games. The key is, spend 6 bucks right away to unlock all the hero classes, then you will never have to pay again unless you just want to reward this company for making an amazing game. Complete each level with every hero and you have enough crystals to keep everything upgraded. This really gets your strategic mind working and despite how challenging it is, is really soothing after a long day. This game can last you years, no kidding!

Great Game, But Difficulty Seems Stupid. This is truly an amazing game and I have logged many hours playing it! I love the extensive gameplay and multiple upgrade options! However the reason I did not give this game 5 stars comes from the difficulty. The fact that getting to level five and then being crushed seemed odd to me. I found my self from level five on having to go play the previous levels and rack up levels and gems just to beat another single level. Looking at everything the game offers it doesn't seem as though winning the game would be possible. I mean if I waste my life and level up the heroes to the max level I could then beat the game. But I feel if nothing else there should be something that doubles gold output, and if not that, maybe giving so much gold every time an enemy is killed. Just something that will prevent me from throwing my iPad across the room because I can't get past a level and have to go grind for a whole day only to beat one level.

Awesome. This game is amazing. Iv had it since it was released in December. And since I still have an iPhone 4, it doesn't run very good with most high resolution games. However, this game just can't stop amazing me. However like everything else in the world, it has room for improvement. I was thinking it would be really legitimate to have some kind of boss rush mode to where there is no castle, no units or buildings to purchase, and only one, single super powerful boss. It's just your hero, and the boss. Maybe the boss could be Nogoth himself? Or a god angered with the kingdom? Anything would be nice. My other thought is that, at times it does get hard to dodge certain attacks on single player and online. Most 3rd person games have some kind of dodge feature. Maybe if you added a dodge roll feature where your hero barrel rolls to the side or front. Even backward would be cool. Obviously a really long cool down would be needed for it because if you continuously dodge, nothing will ever hit you. The dodge shouldn't make you invincible. Also it's cool to get notifications from games once and a while. Makes it more interesting to come back. Adding daily challenges to complete with certain requirements of course. I just also want to say thank you again for this amazing game. I thought Gameloft had it all with Order & Chaos and Modern Combat. I was wrong:)

Great game!. Hasn't crashed for me yet! Really fun and addicting, worth the price for sure. What is kind of annoying is in coop some people have bad Internet connections. One thing I can't help but don't like is when I get paired up with someone lower leveled than I, and I have to do most the work, but I also love it when I'm paired up with someone whose really good at the game and is 50 levels higher so I really can't complain. The first level is a little bit too much for beginning players but you really get used to it, and it becomes a lot of fun as you level up and get better things. Just wish there was more customization with armor, and weapons, but that would probably make the game way too unbalanced for some things, so I would recommend making it be no customization until let's say level 30, really separating the game from all others making it more unique and more fun. Know what I'm saying? Well anyways great game and I see a bright future for it!

Brilliant. An awesome game that is loaded with both strategy and Fast-Paced gaming. It's insanely addictive. If you're reading this right now, get this game. If i may offer a few suggestions, like skins for characters and some more skills. And if you guys add some more classes, this game would most likely be one of the top games out there. A few problems that i'm sure you guys are aware of; Crashing in multiplayer is a biggie. If you get past the crash that happens at the loading screen after game center, you are stuck trying to stay away from as many enemies to reduce lag from crashing the app. A few times in single player for me also, but rarely. And OH MY GOD, please fix the endless mode in multiplayer. if you don't have a strong partner, you won't last 3 minutes. Maybe a difficulty setting for players that are over level 30 overall. Like a Level 9 Paladin and a 20 Engineer would be on easy. And add a store to buy/upgrade weapons/armor. You don't have to use crystals to get them, but maybe doing certain challenges . 5/5 game though.

The Classic. One of the best games I’ve ever played. I’m back to download it after finally beating the sequel after a year. Both this and the second are absolute masterpieces and deserve every ounce of respect and penny given. Also this is the only has siege mode where you can play as the undead, main reason why I’m coming back!

Love this game. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out, it is clearly in my opinion the best mobile game out there, I do t know if anyone will read this but I hope you’ll download to give it a try, worth the money

Scam. I bought a couple items off this game went off for a little while and when I open the game back up all my campaign progress was lost and everything I bought said it had it be unlocked again

Great game. At first I didn't care much for this game as it was a little too easy and the enemies were very simple, but if you keep playing there's a lot of different enemies and troops/buildings to choose to unlock and choose from. There's A LOT of unlock in this game so there's great replay value. Plus you can play as the enemy in siege mode, play multiplayer co-op and versus mode if you get tired of the typical campaign, which will already serve as many hours of gameplay. This game is completely worth it and the in app purchases aren't necessary. The game is pretty fair about the amount of crystals get. Don't get discouraged by the game's somewhat slow start. Also don't forget to try all the different heroes! If you get stuck, I found that the paladin is the easiest hero to play as. I haven't unlocked the Mage, ranger, etc. though.

Matchmaking. Are the servers still up and running for online?

Still Love It Since Then. This game is definitely worth the pay to play. There is a variety of character to unlock and level up as play wave after wave of undead, goblin, trolls, and other different creatures. You can play with friends on this as I play with my brother on this, unfortunately it only goes up to two people per game. The Siege mode that allows people to play on the enemy side is very fun but can tricky to play when you level up your units and castles as they will be the ones fighting you in Siege. Complaints: Please update for IOS11, make it impossible to play on the multiplayer features but other than that it is a great game

My favorite app/game hands down.. This game has truly impressed me by far. The gameplay is super addicting and I keep wanting more. I am very pleased with the updates that continually add new content and fixes. I love getting new heroes and new content. I was so happy with this last huge update adding so many things. My favorite is getting new characters to play with. So I hope there will still be more in the future. An idea that is rarely done could be an animal type character. Not a humanoid, but a legit animal. I think that'd be awesome. Like maybe a wolf with armor, has leaping/pounce abilities, a self buff with a howl for increased movement and attack speed, etc. Anyhow, I recommend this game highly. Very well done.

Why isn’t it restoring my purchases?. I just made a couple of purchases on this game but it reset somehow and my purchases are not restoring

Spectacular. This is a brilliant game. The multiplayer is amazing, providing endless replayability. Going through the story and upgrading your characters is a very fair experience, reducing the need for IAP to only those that want immediate dominance. The developers are very active on forums, and have already promised a substantial update that will introduce new heros, enemies, skins and a versus mode to go along with the already awesome co-op. I can't recommend this game enough. It has redefined my opinion on real time multiplayer on iOS and I'm excited to see how it evolves. Great job, Foursaken! EDIT: This game continues to grow and improve. Another new update, so I have to update this review. Great game. Still playing regularly since launch, which is a rare thing for me. Keep up the great work and thanks for the updates!

Awesome. When i first bought this game i immediatly loved it exept for multiplayer but after the update i was completely addicted i played it anytime i had a break. it annoys me that people give lower ratings because they find it too hard to beat believe me it is completely possible, the campain as well as the siege mode you just jave to find the correct balace of offence and defence for campain and then siege just go all out crazy buy upgrades for the dark heroes that give u insant units and then upgarde income and it is tottally beatable esspecially with the wraith so stop writting bad reviews because you find the game to hard the review section is not for that. Anyways awesome game

Data reset. I know that someone might not see this but I’ve been knowing if and playing this game since like 2017 I’ve also loved this game and I finally got back into it and started grinding I’ve gotten to lvl 40 assassin and around 10-20 others and I just logged back on and everything is gone all my progress and data,also when I restored passed purchases they didn’t come,if there is any developer that sees this I was wondering if there is anything I could do.

Amazing!!!. This game is amazingly fun, addicting, and challengingly! Im by no means a gamer which means that this game is perfect for all types. By other reviews you can tell that gamers love it, by people like me you can tell this is a game that reaches across multiple markets. As far as the in app purchases, I realize a lot of people have a problem with this. However not being a gamer I have not had to purchase any crystals so far and I am 2/3 of the way through. It's difficult and you may need to repeat levels a couple times. However, what's the point of a strategy game without failing a couple times. You have to change and develop your strategy with every level-- which makes it fun and keeps your attention. If you're impatient and decide to buy the crystals or you give up on the game then maybe you shouldn't buy strategy games in the first place. Overall this game is amazing. Ive been playing every opportunity I get. Amazing job, foursaken!

OMG I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!. This game is sooooo fun! With endless amounts of levels, and even an endless mode, this game is definitely one of my top recommendations! I think it has about 20 campaign levels, but im only on level 7. Totally worth the money and I can't wait till I can find someone else with this app so i can try co-op though! I cant wait till the siege and versus update!!!:) I do with that it makes it a little more RPG though, like if you are able to rule your kingdom and manage and wage war on some, make allies with others, also like a good/evil choice. You could walk around your kingdom, invest in stuff, collect taxes, and finally there would be like a tent you would go to for campaign missions and multiplayer mode. That would be totally epic and I hope eventually it will be like that! this game just has so much potential! Keep at it foursaken! Guys, I have found the equation that will solve evrythng. Foursaken Media > life ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh i almost forgot. I thought that it would be cool to "Rush" cooldowns on power ups. for example, theres a bunch of guys at my wall when im i knight, but my hero strike isnt ready yet. with my idea, you can pay gold (the amount will be shown on the icon) and it will hurry up and load instantly. Also, im not the first to say this, but you should be able to buy steps that lead onto the wall for archers and enginners :)

Wow. Awesome game

Only the best!. I've played a lot of games in my life, and this is one of my all-time favorite. The graphics are impressive and smooth, the controls are easy to use, the gameplay is fast-paced and extremely fun, and the different heroes allow for great changes in tactics and difficulty. I recommend this game to anyone looking to have a great time, totally worth the 1.99$! March Update: In love with the Veteran class, he seems to be a combination of the original three heroes. Very cool and super fun! A few things I may recommend in a future update: Add an option to disable Critical Hit screen flashes (which are cool, but too many give me a headache); maybe add a female hero for some diversity, she could have two swords (or knives) and a very rapid attack set, but armor and damage would be low. Otherwise, amazing game!

Under-Appreciated Game. It’s a surprise to me how little is spoken of this game. A game that comprises elements of an RPG with nine distinct classes and of a tower defense style with a third-person feel to it. Don’t forget the units on each side so either. Allies ranging from a simple and humble peon to the destructive and intimidating force of a giant. Enemies that comprise of unending walls of flesh an decay in the undead and the savage and barbaric greenskins. I say give this game a try. You’ll have a blast playing plus purchases are minuscule at best.

Addicting. Well developed game. I wish it would get more updates and maybe aonline versus mode. Overall excellent game!

Good game but siege is too hard. The most recent update has made siege mode impossible to win. I used to be able to win by using Orc warlords and wraiths but now everything costs too much to be able to produce an adequate amount of troops to fight with. You basically can't win now as the bad guys. Please fix! Lower the cost of producing units or make the enemy not get like 250 starting gold. And might I suggest making it to where you can get up on your own walls, put like a ramp on the ground near the walls or something so you can walk on it. And make the siege towers have skeletons in the and they go all the way up to your wall and drop down units like a real siege tower rather than just sitting there. That would be awesome.

Really fun game but can use improvement. I've read some of the ad review and I cant really agree that this game is a money pit. The game gives you the ability to buy crystals to up grade your castle and support units but you actually have to play the game to level you main character the good old fashion way. I like that. That said, the multiplayer can use some improvements. I'm playing an an iPad 3 wifi and cell right next to my fios modem and most games still have ridiculous lag. I don't loss connection but I might as well. The campaign mode is fun and almost requires you to play multiplayer to level you character quickly so you can beat later levels. What I'm trying to say is that in game purchases won't help you here... You need to play your character in order to level. Honestly if it wasn't for the multiplayer lag I would have given this game five stars. Hope this review was helpful. Devs get on the lag problem.

Tips. I played this game since I was 9 now im 14 and I like it guys if you want to get better guys just upgrade them and the reason why it doesn’t work for some people is because some of those electronics are old And maybe this requires newier electronics like iPad Air 2

Terrific game! Do buy and enjoy!. Extremely fun game. Lots of great variations packed in. Lots of replayabality. Despite what a few whiners (everybody is a crappy critic) wrote, the game is completely playable without buying any in game crystals. All the classes of heroes are fun to play. I love co-op, but it lags often and crashes occasionally. But It seems like the developers won't rest until that's cleared. Very impressive game. There aren't any other games that come close to this in originality, polish, and fun. Worth the money! Suggestions: - please alter the rune crafting. Add combining runes as an option to turn rares into legendary. Add allow for combining legendary runes together. - More characters! The ones in the game are great, but more would be fun too. - more units, for both good and evil side. Dwarf melee, wizards race melee. Cavalry that charge through the fighting. - siege mode for single player is hard! I'm not sure a fix is necessary but a forum on your website to ask questions would be great. -in game upgrades (like siege mode) for the good characters would be great - other campaigns and locales would be a nice change of scenery - more castle upgrades (traps, towers, buildings, boiling oil)

Great game. Hours of fun. Get to play good and bad side. Lots of different units and buildings with their own upgrades. Heroes all have special abilities both passive and active. Would be neat if it was easier to play against or with others

Amazing game!. This is an amazingly fun gun; however, there are 2 major issues that have now made it unplayable for me. When playing multiplayer the game crashes 100% of the time for one of the two players. This usually happens around 10-15 minutes into the game and no stats are saved. The second, and larger issue is the deletion of stats that I spent hours increasing. Upon reaching level 54 with my engineer, all of my stats that I had increased (damage, crit %, armor) were permanently deleted. Now my level 54 character is left with nearly the same abilities as a level 1 character. If the bugs are fixed I will change my rating to 5 stars and happily play again, but until then I'm done. UPDATE: new patch = all issues resolved!

Wonderful and Addictive!. As with all Foursaken games, the graphics are superb, the gameplay is reasonably-balanced (a bit hard for me, but I'm old), and strategic options are numerous. Replay ability is high, especially because you can complete the campaign with up to five heroes. Each hero changes your strategy, as each offers distinct skills. If you get bored mowing down the bad guys, the newly-introduced Siege component turns the tables: you direct the hordes of monstrous villains to take down the castle. You should know up front this game offers IAPs that boost the strength of support troops and attack towers. It's a long slog, indeed, if you don't make an IAP or two. I've been playing every day. The deep strategy keeps me coming back. Another great release from these devs! Regarding latest release: I've gotten numerous pop-ups asking for a five-star review, which I was happy to do after the first reminder. But I'm still getting the pop ups. Quite annoying!

Can’t start campaign - crashes. I bought premium but pressing campaign button it immediately crashes to desktop every time on my iPad 9th generation with latest iOS updates. Please fix. I’d really like to try this out after enjoying the sequel.

Siege Review. When I played this game, this became one of the most addicting game I've played. And when Siege came out, I first played it and thought it was difficult as some has said, and I've tried doing new strategies and found the Warrior Liche as a more easier evil hero or villain to play as, I notice that most people on the Good team on Versus always go for the Cultists, Standard Bearers, and the Goblin Drummer and I sometimes think that they are too close to the battlefield and should be near the evil tree or on the sides of the evil tree. Perhaps that will make things easier for Siege, but that's my opinion. Also I noticed that when its between Good and Evil, the player that is on the Good team is sometimes stronger and more experienced than those who play as the Evil team, so I think the damage, health, and armor should be stronger, but as I said before that just my opinion. I'm not sure if many or few people will agree or disagree to my following comment or even read this comment but I just thought I could brings something up.

Best IOS Game I have ever played.. First off all, you don't need to pay to discover or pay to win like that one guy said. You can pay if you aren't good enough at strategizing and need an advantage. Second of all, I got this game the day it came out and have been playing it non-stop ever since, which is something I normally can't do with IOS games. I'm not even a little tired of it, there's just so much content. Not to mention that the new update coming very soon adds a siege mode for the campaign to switch up the roles a little bit, and a versus mode in multiplayer in which one person defends and the other attacks. This game is just too perfect for the small amount of money it's worth. Definitely buy it, you won't regret it.

Finally a tactical strategy rpg for iPad. Don't like the optional "crystal" buying option 4 upgrades. I've been waiting for a game like this for longtime. The perfect combo where you could build a tower defense and lead an army, and tossing in a general tops it off. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that its almost just like a bunch of those "strategy" Chinese games out there that give you the option to buy "coins" to get upgrades faster. Now I know why this game cost 1.99 because they want you to hopefully get frustrated at the maps and take the easy way out and have kids playing this game use their parents debit card to buy more crystals so they can level up faster rather than playing the levels over and over or grinding to move on. I'm only on level 6 and haven't been forced to buy crystals and I hope it stays that way. If they made the game more expensive but made the upgrades easier it would be better and not feel like they're kinda taking advantage of some impatient people.

Play this game!. Fours4ken really nailed unique gameplay on this one. With a combination of 3rd person rpg and what can't be quite described as tower defense, this game takes the place of my favorite ios game I've ever played. Multiple classes allows each level in the campaign to require tactical changes, a leveling system with class-specific skills, and the multiplayer gameplay is so great, you should almost download this game just for that. I'm more than happy to rate this game 5 stars, it's by far one of the most original games I have had the opportunity to play. No gripes about it, just hear me out on this one, my friends at Fours4ken - I'd really like to see a reset function for class skills! Not sure how that would effect the balance of the game, as you guys have done that superbly. Thank you for spending your time to make a game that I have never seen on an ios device, much less creating something entirely original and amazing. To anyone who spent the time to read my review through all the way, I play constantly and am looking for a few good coop partners to destroy hordes of evil doers! Look me up on gamecenter, lookedlikeyours is always open to a good game!

AWSOME!!! but Not fun!?!?. This game has a ton of great ideas and AWSOME characters. But it is very apparent that the developers haven't played it sense the update.(1) When playing as the evil guys the defenders spawn a ton of guys and will one shot any guy that you spawn. Also their units spawn endlessly and will out number your 20 max units.(2) the pike men are way to expensive for their roll. (3) endless mode in single player and multiplayer spawn to many reapers! Unites become useless after the 7 min mark. Also fix the fact when you start the match that in 2 seconds there are 6 guys at your wall. If my guys have to start at the back of the map so should the other team!!!!!!(4) archers can't hit running or average speed monsters. You or your units have to stop/slow the monsters. (5) unit count is way off as described in some units. (6) why build a AWSOME wall when a basic ground bomb unit can destroy anything behind the wall. (7) the armor in the game seems that it doesn't make a difference. Plz explained in more detail why I should put skill points in it........ Ok well I hope this helps with voicing of some problems. HEY all in all this game is really fun but you have to put a ton of time into your hero to just stay alive. My buddy and I really have a great time passing time by with this app but it deff needs a polish! Less lag when playing other players plz!

Great game👍. Good action game not too hard

EXCELLENT GAME. Foursaken, This game is amazing. Thankyou for all the work you have put into it so far! I've been looking for something like this since I got an iPod touch. I have never played an iOS game that was this deep, engaging, or challenging. I love the difficulty level! If the game was easy it would have grown old quickly and just become a spam fest. The later stages of the campaign really force you to sit down and plan out your defenses. I was shocked to get such a great update so quickly, and I'm definitely looking forward to what else you will be adding. I also appreciate how balanced the currency system is. I never feel like you guys are grabbing for my wallet. I gladly payed for all the new content in the update (the Mage is BY FAR my favorite character), but there is no "freemium wall" that you sometimes hit in games with IAP's. A couple constructive criticisms: 1. The game becomes laggy to the point of being unplayable when I turn "iPod On" in the options screen. I have an iPod touch 4, so it may just be the fact that I have a slightly older divice. It would be nice to be able to listen to the new My Bloody Valentine album while hacking up skeletons. 2. Unit A.I. could use some slight improvements. It can be kind of frustrating when I have 12 pikemen on the field and they all go for the closes Orc while there are five others attacking my walls. This is by no means a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have a couple tweaks implemented that make my units "smarter." Some wishfull thinking: It would be really cool to be able to climb the walls and fight with the archers and riflemen. 50 gold for a pot of boiling oil to dump on the heads of the enemy? HAHA! Overall, this game is a CLASSIC. Well done guys. I'm going to be coming back to this game for a LONG TIME, and I just downloaded Bug Heroes and Bug Heroes Quest. I'm looking forward to tearing up your back catalogue. Keep up the good work and bring us more heroes to play with!

Fantastic Game. One of the very best iOS apps around. Very active, responsive development team; very reasonable people. Always trying to make the game better. They really listen and take good suggestions but don't just roll over every time somebody complains and threatens to leave a bad review. Game is very deep and allows for many different play styles and different intensities. Good fanbase on TouchArcade if you need help. Company has struggled to keep multiplayer co-op and PvP stable, but have been working on it non-stop and improvements have been implemented and more are in the queue, waiting on Apple. Game is the best mix of FPS +character buildup (can't say RPG, as there is little to no role-playing/stray building, but it is not missed in this game)+strategy and tactical elements that I have ever seen on this platform. IAP can be very helpful, but is ABSOLUTELY not necessary for enjoyment, nor dies it cause game imbalance. It is IAP done well. Use it to hurry your heroes to better buffs and better soldiers/units, but only if you want/need to hurry. There are plenty if in-game ways to do same, just takes playtime, but not useless grinding. You'll play because you can't stop playing - its so much fun da&$@it; not because you want "just one more crystal".

Greatness. In summary: tons of content, strong in both strategy and action, excellent controls, great graphics, great sound, multiple hero characters provide plenty of approaches to game play, multiple in-depth campaigns, multiplayer, Game Center, great developer support and IAP is totally optional. This was already an easy pick for 5 stars before this update. The new content makes for an embarrassment of riches. If you enjoy an action game with plenty of strategy, do not hesitate to buy this fantastic game. Update: I am now playing the Campaign mode with a Mage character. Like all the other characters, the differences in strategy make each character like playing a new game. I have also made my first foray into multiplayer (Coop) and it worked flawlessly for me. What a blast! I have run out of adjectives to describe how good this game is.

2013 lives on!!!. written on: April 03, 2018 As the title suggests, this was the year i brought this app and 2013 lives on through it! This one is definitely different from its sequel, being that this one i feel is a bit more strategic streamlined vs the sequel which is more tactical RPG. While the second continuation does greatly improve on a lot of things this has to accomplish that, it also discards some things from the first too. Such as the ability to have multiple small background info through it's different skins, some unit buildings that were essential to this game, and while this little annoyance is small it annoys me sometimes: units walked out from your castle instead of just popping in. Although the second one does look and is vastly improved, upon returning to this one, it did make me realize that i miss the unit buildings but, all these are just little observations. Overall, this is still a great game today and while i might be annoyed; it's a sacrifice for the much improved second installment!!!!

Heroes and Castles. I have reviewed this game before, but lately I have noticed that the app crashes every time I try to play anything other than campaign. It would be good if this could be fixed

Game of the year?. Already a contender for game of the year for me. The gameplay is amazing and really draws you in I found myself playing for hours on end. A serious must buy for anyone who likes iPhone games.

Great fun!. This game is Great❗️ My only wish is that the max damage is not 999 Since I have achieved that damage using a paladin and fully upgraded buildings including the longbeard and buildings for the hut for the dwarves and a rifle man Can you Please increase the max damage.

Amazing. Really great game, I found it so enjoyable to level up all of the different characters. However, I think the game needs a sandbox mode that lets you test out strategies, that would make the higher levels a lot easier. Other than that, I think this game is excellent and needs hardly any work.

H & C asking. The game is great but I would like to ask that in the next update you could add 2 new class to the game like a necromancer or a beast something like that please add these classes. I would also like to add that in the next update you could add a customisation class where you can chose you class or weapon and get your on skills. Kind regards

Best. Apart from all the great game play. Devs are quick and responsive for support. Also lots of content and updates and iap are only optional, I never had to buy to proceed - however if you choose to buy, which you will just to support the awesome game, prices are totally reasonable. No need to fear the money sink. Just buy and enjoy.

Detailed review.. Ive had this game for quite a decent amount of time I've maxed nearly all players this games lets you grind for crystals and not just needing to spend 0.99c if you want more players and I've seen some reviews on this how they can't play co,op even if they are sitting right next to them this is false I've played this with a friend in another state who is at least 10-15 hours away from me and no connection issues and also seen complaining about co,op "it's too hard for lvl4 players" You should expect to be smashed on a game mode for near maxed lvl players no need for difficulty lvls they won't grind for EXP and lvl up like C'mon people. I love the siege game mode being the bad guy isn't a big option in most game even more in hand held games and it takes skill and a little bit of strategy to win against the AI and a lot more against a player. And the only thing I can complain about is after i grinded for a new character i they grind for a new skin for them id like to Make them cheaper or make a weekly event where you earn more crystals in a siege game. To conclude this game is worth the money and it will leave you with heaps of playing hours and good multiplayer to play with mates or randoms. 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Z's review. Okay Foursaken you have really shone brightly on this game. Their are some minor issues here and there(and some not so minor) but my main problem is probably the multiplayer. The enemy on Co-Op needs to be adjusted depending on the highest characters level otherwise its difficult. Another thing is probably the fact that whenever i played online before the update it was fine but now it says "the player was disconnected?" Also (this isn't a problem) I'm waiting for a Corte siege level (which I'm sure your working on or trying to figure out) because it will be fun indeed. Thanks -Z

Incredible!. Absolutely amazing! I downloaded this game expecting it to be good, but what I got surpassed all expectations. This is my favorite app on the market and is easily worth five stars. The only possible way it can get better is to add more heroes maybe, but my advice is to keep doing what you're doing, because you're clearly doing it right. And finally, to anyone unsure about getting this or not; Get it. A bargain at two bucks, and I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Epic. This game is epic! Looks like they put a lot of hardworking into this game :D Everyone should be thanking them for making this game, there is 1 bug that is quite annoying, it crashes your game in siege mode and sometimes multiplayer

PERFECT but 1 thing. there is one problem except for it being PERFECT. In multiplayer the game keeps shutting. and stops you from playing with friends and others.

Controls. The movement controls of this game are a huge disappointment ... One control to move forward and back and another to left a right , but u first have to face the direction u wish to travel.... Doin this while trying to fight it just to much ... Needs to be more like eternity warriors in its movement control... Fantastic game in every other way but for mine ..... With the controls it's virtually unplayable ... I stopped after 4 levels..

A Quality Experience. I tip my hat of to the developers of this game. Amazing gameplay and depth and graphics for a mobile game with a cheap price attached to it. A little bit buggy and clunky at some points, but for the sheer depth of the game it can be instantly forgiven. A must play and buy. I hope to see more from this studio.

In General: Repetive Rpg/tower defence blend Single player: Challenging, rewarding, repetitive, takes some time to finish (1-4 weeks). There is a harder campaign after playing first. Siege mode (you are enemy) is very fun. Multiplayer: glitchy, but enjoyable and immersive. Graphics: decent for ios, has graphic settings. Environment: immersive medieval feel, Seasons Change suitably, includes invisible walls. Controls: Smooth but not simple. Requires two hands (better on an ipad) Story: Storyline is hard to follow and goes off track a lot. Brilliant. Great game, almost perfect. Needs to have different weapons to switch between, say 4 per character, and it needs to have things like attack speed, especially the paladin. Also my app crashes every time I try to play an online game. Please fix. Can't wait for seige to come out. =D =) XD

LOVE THIS GAME. This game is amazing. The graphics aren't the best, but they make do as the gameplay is the real star. Beast. I love this game but can you please fix the multiplayer coop mode. Every time I try to play with my brother it always stuffs up and if it works for a minute, the enemies come in packs of hundreds. So can you please fix that and keep the updates coming :]

It's da bomb!. It's an awesome game, probs the best I've ever played,but I think you need to be able to switch weps while your battling it out with those ugly things. Like for the dwarf you should be able to switch with the war hammer on his back. But otherwise nice game I love it😍

Great game buuuut. Awesome game. Definitely a 5 star effort. HOWEVER....siege mode... Really? It's pretty difficult, the enemy is too strong and destroys your side before you have a chance to build up anything, especially if they're a knight or a paladin. Fix the ridiculous difficulty and then it's back to 5 stars.

AWSOME. This game is the best but I found a bug where if you in the middle of a game in campaign and you pause the game and turn off your iPad for about five minutes then log back on the game freezes and it is stuck on the pause menu until you shut off your iPad completely.

Seriously good. Probably the best war/fighting game on my ipad. The graphics aren't special and the storyline is far from original, but that is totally irrelevant because the idea and the gameplay is awesome, and for what it is, the price is really good. WOW. I LOVE this game and it was well worth my money, It is incredibly addictive and I found myself spending hours playing it. but Half way through playing this game I tried playing co-op with my little brother and the game crashed on me and after that I couldn't play any level without the game completely crashing on me so Eventually reinstalled the game and it started working perfectly, so PLEEEEAAAASE Fix that problem. but overall It's a great game and is my favourite game on the store at the moment. Love it. one of my favorite games, second to block fortress, I love it although the kamikaze goblins have got to be nerfed as if you're not the ranger (who is amazing) you can't catch them to stop them

Good fun!. Quite enjoying this game and I've only played single player campaign mode so far. I like that you can be successful with skill and patience, rather than having to pay for upgrades (which you can do too if you want)

Great but needs something..... This game is great and will last you ages but it needs a 4 multiplayer mode or more that let's you play with more than 1 player so what I mean is that you need to have multiplayer that allows at least 4 people to play (co-op mode). Plus should show you characters special attacks so when you save up 35gems and buy a new hero you know what you are getting. Pls make this happen in new update as i know a number of ppl wanting a 4 player co-op multiplayer.

Play it!. This game has more than what you would expect on a phone. It has the potential to expand to other devices and gaming consoles. Simple, challenging and fun and its in your pocket, fantastic!

Incredible. From great graphics to easy to use controls, this game has it all. It is a well balanced game that you will not be able to put down. With different heroes that have very different mechanics, the replay ability is very high. The new update brings even more to the table. This is a game we will be playing for months more.

Reduce the particle affects. It gets REALLY laggy when it comes to show those smoke and magical affects e.g. 12 blunderbuss shooting together or Mage casting Frost and Lightning together. Please at least add an option to reduce those graphic quality. Oh and if possible, please add a more complex skill tree and equipment slots for the heroes.

VS is unplayable for evil side. Evil side will always lose as the knight and paladin is so OP they can just rush the tree and then chase you down and kill you even before the game starts. No fun at all when the game is so unbalance and level match ups are stupid lvl 40 vs a lvl 10 yeah so smart I say get rid of the levels in VS and only keep it in single play doesn't help when a 40 lvl knight comes running at you at start of the game and hitting the tree with 80 and more damage and then has chase after you for the rest of the game and just kills your income while theirs is so protected so not balance at all!! A MUST FIX before anyone esle buys this game

Multiplayer. Nothing wrong with the game, but multiplayer automatching isn't working. It was working with iOS 6, but iOS 7/8 isn't working. I don't know if this is just my iPad, but it gets annoying.

Siege mode. I got the new siege mode everything's great except for 1 thing I think on the single siege mode the enemy is too op like the paladin they attack u knock u away then when u try to run away they just follow u then attack then eventually kill u and seriously the enemy team makes like 100 units in a second

Multiplayer. After the update multiplayer doesn't work anymore after I find a match and it says connection good, it just gets stuck instead of starting the game and the goes to automatching again

Best iphone game ever. Quite simply the best game i have ever played on iphone. I have never tried multiplayer but single player took hours and hours to complete and was great. Gameplay was smooth, great and varied characters, and got customization. Highly reccomend!

Awesome Game and Great Customer Service. Very innovative game. Combines elements of Tower D: Strategy, resource management, unit counters, etc. This game also puts you in the driver's seat, and throws you in the midst of the action. Great replayability with different classes, and co-op and versus modes. To top it off, great customer service. I accidentally deleted my game data due to multiple users on my iPad. They helped me restore my game data within 12 hours. Highly recommended game!!!

Sync Error. Great game, but everything I play a Co op game, I says sync error within the fist 10 seconds making it impossible to play anything other than single player. Very frusterating.

Amazing!!. Absolutley amazing! Although for the helmit ( don't know the name) campaign the difficulty spikes insanely high at mission 5 and the second I played siege mods I unlocked all the regular units in defence mode and the second campaign (bug ?)

Loved this game years ago and still do. I’ve played this game on and off for many years now and it’s always been a blast. So much fun and addicting tactics to enjoy with a large character selection. I’d recommend this game to anyone who’s looking for some genuine honest fun on their mobile device. I’ve returned back to this game a couple times and have lost everything but I reached out and the developers helped restore my data within a day or two. Just a wonderful game overall and I can’t rave enough about how much I’ve enjoyed playing it!

Great game, but update breaks multiplayer invites. It's a fantastic game overall, but the new update seems to have broken multiplayer invites. Either I "can't find the match" or my invite never seems to connect, even though I see the connection next to me. Kind of ruins the gaming experience if you can't game with friends

Disappointed. So far I'm finding this game annoyingly difficult. There are so many things to worry about during battle (repairing walls, fighting, buying units, constructing buildings) that you can't really enjoy the battles themselves. And the game crashes when I try to play siege mode.

H&C. Every building and unit I have and is maxed out. Add more abilities for each hero please ... Maybe one passive and one not, that seems somewhat reasonable. I'm one stage off from finishing campaign so adding new hero abilities would increase the gameplay possibilities so we're not doing the same thing every stage. Which could in turn keep more players playing for longer.

Great but.... So much fun and an awesome game!! Please add more levels or content though because multiplayer and endless gets kind of boring... Maybe add some objectives to every mission like win by spawning less than 10 troops! It'll only make the game better... MORE CLASSES! I'm think sorcerer that can maybe transform into enemies based on money or mana

Great app!!. They added a lot with updates, doubled the champions you can level and play through. I have hours and hours clocked and still haven't beat the full game. Tons of fun even a multiplayer option available. Fully recommend this app!

Incredible game. Its one of the best game i played on my iPhone no doubt that is the best castle defence on App Store, if you Like castle defence , Well you found it and its totaly wort the price. I can't wait until they make new Map new units hope they also add new kind of rune for example -Green rune(Master) stronger effet than legendary -purple rune( curse) have a strong benefit but also have a disavantage (+150 starting gold , increase units cost +15%) it would be awsome if add new stucture for example -(barrack) add +15 population for ground units and wall units -(architect house) increase every stucture healt and armor it will be also cool if they add 1 additional bilding outside the castle wall like the two gold mine. anyway hope they add Stuff

Eye Melting & Intense Action. These guys rock, with yet another stunning action title that does something unique by combining Tower Defence and an Action RPG. It looks gorgeous, plays smooth and offers non offensive IAP. No buckets of berrys, it has the option to buy more hero types.

A fun, solid, time killer.. I quite enjoy this game. It's very nice graphics, as well as unique gameplay make it unlike most mobile games I've played. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something a little more dynamic and interactive than a FarmVille or point and click kind of game.

Great!. This app is amazing. It isn't too easy but not impossible. The wide range of upgrades and characters make this game playable for a long time. Siege mode for single player makes the humans way overpowered though. Fix the time it takes to find a player in multiplayer as well.

In app purchases. Again another company forcing you to spend more after you've already paid for the game. What happened to the good old days when you just bought a game and enjoyed it. Instead it seems everyone is trying to grind your bank account. WARNING: game could get difficult and there is an option to buy runes. Cheap marketing ploy if you ask me.

Great game, just needs a fresh update, some new content. The game is fantastic, a great concept, but I think a feature that would make it more interesting might be something like a Create A Hero feature, where the player can choose the species, body type, armour pieces, weapons, colours, that sort of thing. I'm doubtful such a feature would be included, but I think that'd add a lot to this already great game.

Gaming. I find that this game is a great one the graphics are great it's a good story line it's pretty long it takes a while to upgrade every character if you don't buy the gems to upgrade. That is why I feel it is worth a 5 star rating :)

Wow. Heroes and Castles isn't just a good iOS game, it's genuinely a good game. The interface is a tad finicky, but the gameplay is deep and action packed.

This game needs more attention, 5 stars for you. Make a second one, I will definitely be the first to get my hands on that!

Great Game. Out of all these reviews, there are a couple people who have claimed that the good reviews have been faked. Hopefully that doesn't steer anyone away from this fantastic game. Graphics aren't incredible, but they are decent. The game is challenging, and you have the option for in app purchases, though they are not necessary. I haven't purchased anything extra and I'm doing just fine. The game is slightly repetitive, but each level in campaign is more difficult and your hero / units continually get upgraded. Coop crashes occasionally, but is also very enjoyable. This is like a tower defense game taken to a different level. If you enjoy tower defense games, or hack and slash games, this game is definitely for you. Easily worth 2 dollars, and with the upcoming additions to the game I'd say that it's worth even more.

Great, update ridiculously hard. Fun game all around. The siege mode in the new update is impossibly hard, however, and I'm pretty sure it's unbeatable. It feels like the fallen knight is ridiculously underpowered and useless and gets knocked back by pretty much everything that hits it. All of the enemies attacks knock back, so getting close enough to get a hit on him is just about impossible. You only get 20 total population, and it seems like the humans get about 200. Fix that mode please. Everything else is great though.

Excellent!. Very well done - nice graphics, decent sound, and really fun gameplay. Definitely a feeling of tension and urgency in defending the keep! Only a few little things that could be improved/perfected. Sound is one - the music is very repetitive, as are the warnings about the castle being attacked. Also the contact/hit/attack sound for the paladin is not very powerful - it's too soft. Another issue is the cloud save - it doesn't work very well. So far I've only seen one notification for it, and that was on my iPad after having played on my iPad just minutes before (and right after getting the request to review the game). So far my iPhone hasn't received the cloud save, and I've completed the first five battles for all heroes. Tried fully quitting the game on both devices too. But as a whole this game is excellent and worth far more than $2!

Lag. Can't even play co-op it's so lagged out. I deleted this game before but they claimed to have fixed the problem so I downloaded again unfortunately. Game has potential. Fun on single player that's about it. And no it's not my connection because I play way more graphically inclined games than this without any problems. After this recent update all of the buildings and units cost more so now I don't even want to play single player. Get your act together foursaken these other companies are killing you. Try not taking 2 steps back every update. Making the game more enjoyable is a good start. The game is already bland as is with limited buildings and unit options.

Heroes And Castles. Amazing Game, Keeps Getting Better And Better But This Siege Mode Is The Hardest And I Cant Beat It. I Haven't Won A Single Game. With My Evil Monster Limit Capacity Set To 20 Thats A Little Unfair That The Good Side Can Have As Many Units As They Please. And As Soon As The Match Starts Their Already Sending Out Wall Units And Ground Units That Would Usually Cost 300 Gold Total. And Thats Just The Beginning! I Die Every Time, So Can You Guys Please Lower The Aggression The Good Side Gives Out, It Really Stinks Losing Everytime. Please Whoever Reads This Add This To Your Review If You Think The Same Way So It Can Get Fixed.

Great Game. I absolutely love this game. It is almost like a action/RPG for the iPad and iPhone. I only have a few suggestions. 1) Maybe add a new hero that can place down "turrets" or something like that. 2) Make either Siege mode winnable or make an Undead campaign. That would be AWESOME for the campaign. 3) Please make multiplayer available through Wifi. I understand why Gamecenter is the choice, but Wifi would be awesome. Keep up the great work. I hope to see awesome updates!

Very challenging. This game has kept me occupied and thinking for so long that I'd feel guilty giving it any less than 5 stars. It's an extremely challenging mix of strategy, RPG, and tower defense. Some may complain it's too hard, but I find that part of the challenge - it's not a simple 'hack and slash', but as the stages get more difficult, you must carefully choose your strategy. This is the first iOS game in a while which has had me strategizing and actually thinking about how to beat a level. UPDATE - the game is crashing on me on level 14 (Engineer) after a few minutes into the game- will make this 3 stars until fixed. Also it couldn't load up my data one time and so I lost all my progress. (The data was corrupted.)

Best game on App Store. Absolutely best game I have played on App Store bar none. Lots of options still very interesting after you beat campaign with multiplayer options and tons of different play styles to change up. Heroes are great and offer a lot of variety in the game I have not put this game down since I picked it up. Only issue is some server lag on multiplayer and some disconnects maybe a penalty for those who leave early but other than that amazing thank you thank you thank you

Couple problems. This game is definitely worth the money and you should buy it, however there are some problems that you should be aware of. The most major problem is that the Enemy AI walk right past you unless you hit them and even then they might not notice you. The last problem is that the unit cost is a little too high for me compared to the amount of money you earn. But then this is drowned out by the beautiful graphics, amount of enemies and fun!

Incredible game!!. Not only is this an amazing game for a ridiculous price but the replay value is unmatched. I bought all the additional heroes because I had to have them and each is so different that the next it truly is the best game on the App store. If you haven't bought it yet plunk down a few bucks. You will not regret it. I love these developers at forsaken. They know how to make games worth of iOS. Keep the great games and updates coming and ill gladly send my cash to you.

Best game I've ever played on a phone!. I never write reviews for any game, but this game definitely deserves it. The graphics, combat and constant updates keep me attached to my phone for hours! The updates that come at least once a month keep the game in check and adds more appealing characters orbways to play the game. It has one down side, the co-op is really messed up when trying to play with your friends, pleeeaaasseeee fix! Co-op is the main reason I play the game so much.

Great game. This game has pretty nice gameplay and its really fun. The graphics are ok but there not like something out of infinity blade. It's pretty challenging and all u hardcore gamers will definitely enjoy it after u beat the first few levels. For all u noobs out there, it's not to hard till later so u still have a chance, my only problem with this game is the siege mode is very hard so forsaken, plz change that. FYI siege mode is where u attack the castle as the bad guys all in all wonderful game

You guys listened and I appreciate your hard work and improvements. This game used to be so buggy but now it is worth the 5 star rating. You finally added that restore purchases button and it no longer crashes. P.S. I have no idea what the prob is with siege mode its so easy, all you have to do is make a bunch of cult guys then goblins then a running mummy then some wraiths then just a troll warlord and then keep buying wraiths and troll warlords so easy

New update!. Well the new update is here, the only tried so far is siege mode, and I said I was going to delete this game if the update didn't fix it, I'm very pleased to say that it finally fixed the crashing with siege mode, as I said I haven't tried anything else so idk if everything works, but what I wanted to work works now, and I said I would apologize for the bad reviews if this one fixed it, so I'm sorry reviews and thank you all so much for fixing it, I give it five stars, that's what it deserves, great game!

Best game I have played, only one issue. This is one of the best games of strategic defense, especially with the ability to play on the evil side, but one issue that I have had is disconnection with every person I find on multiplayer. no matter what it is, it's hard to find a match where the other person isn't disconnected the first second a match starts if this was to get fixed this would then be the best game I have found on the App Store and I would give it a full 5 stars.

Good but. In multiplayer I find it unfair for evil to have to buy the banner carriers and drummers to get good units while good can just buy them right of the bat usual securing a win so please either make it where they have to have something in multiplayer or evil doesn't and lower the goods starting gold this one guy had 3 giants before I could get anything good needless to say he one and don't go saying I need to play the campaign more I have every evil unit unlocked but because of the need for standard banner carriers and goblin drummers I couldn't get them

Very good. This game is amazing! There are only two fixes that need to be made. Mutliplayer needs to stop crashing. It's very annoying when it takes you 5 attempts to get into one battle! Please fix the crashes. Unlike stated below, the paladin needs no buff, it's point is not necessarily to fight but to make your units stronger. The engineer on the other hand needs to have a weapon like the dwarven blunderbuss but stronger. The engineer can only hit one enemy at a time and that is a major disadvantage. Coupled with the slow firing rate engineer can not deal much damage. Thanks for the great game and keep up the good work!

If you love action strategy and upgrade games GET IT!. I'm personally a big fan of tower defense and games where you can level-up or upgrade items. This game has all of that! Lots of fun. This game is complete as is. Too many games these days give you a partial game and you have to buy levels. Not the case here, you get it all. Yes they have in-app purchases but it's really unnecessary and I'd recommend against it unless you just want to support the devs more or play the game less.

Minor tweaks.. Heroes and Castles is a great game, but siege mode is impossible and when you have leveled up everything you can with your crystals what are you going to do with the left over crystals, nothing but buy runes. So if you could make it to where we can level up our hero with crystals that would be a great start and I think that some of the levels in campaign are impossible. Besides that it is the best defensive game I have ever played.

Overall, A Great Game. I was a wee bit skeptical at first, but this game is truly amazing. Great graphics for IOS and great gameplay. The story is a bit weird and multiplayer is WAY too hard. The game does not take very much battery life (only about 10% an hour) and runs quite well. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who likes action and knight type games. The only thing that I would suggest is graphics options (for slower devices) and a first person mode.

Worth the buy.. Out of all the games I've ever downloaded, this is by far the best. It's got a good difficulty curve, enough playable characters to keep you upgrading for ages (if you choose), and enough stages to keep you playing for quite a while. Not to mention the endless stages, multiplayer, and abillity to play seige mode (Play as the evil side with four evil heroes). This game is definitely worth the buy. I could see a game this good being a game for a main console like Xbox One or Ps4.

Great game, greater potential. On iPhone 5s. I bought this game a while ago and fairly enjoyed it, I played through the single player campaign and am left with the two "endless" levels. I as well enjoy playing co-op, it is fun and works great so far. I would have given 5 stars, but one thing keeps bothering me every time I return to the game after a few weeks or days of h&c recess. I wish that updates contain changes in the game, like an additional hero or an extra unit or enemy, maybe another 2 or 3 levels? This would at least get some of the pleasure back to the players who have been playing a while and are left with an incredibly boring last stand level. The first 3 times it's fun, no questions... But then it gets and gets less interesting and brings up continuous repetition. No fun! This should not be too difficult to accomplish! -1 star because of said stasis. Thank you.

One of my favorites. This game is fun. It's easy to learn and progression keeps it fun. The second world is much harder and requires you to lose a few rounds to level up your hero. I like all the level options. I wish that you could level your hero in siege mode. Also maybe change the costs of troops per siege hero type. That way if you want to overrun them with troops you play support, but if you want to be a one man army with the undead knight you could afford to do so. I find the only real way to not get overran is to just spawn troops over and over while I slightly upgrade the knight to help them. Just my opinion.

PLZ READ. I really love the game worth the $1.99 but I was playing it but after a while I was bored of the same weapon and the graphics were decent but not great or the best but I am not hating I gave five stars but plz add weapon classes to switch weapons on your character and a bit better graphic not asking for HD 3D but a little better and add for multiplayer 4 players on the same game at the same time for coop the waves are really hard and thank you for your time.

Too hard. In my opinion, the skeleton archers are way over powered. While I'm trying to defend my keep i constantly have to repair my walls in the levels, so i have no money even with high level gold mines. Then while repairing, the archers just shoot right over the keep walls and destroy my keep every time!! It's a great game, good graphics, but I would rate it 5 stars if it weren't for how difficult it is to beat the higher levels, and because every time i try to play online multiplier, it crashes and closes the app. Please fix!!!!

Good but not great. As if now it's April 11 last update was march 19 every one ,is requesting great heroes you can add. Ninja with dual wield or even a dwarf bomb thrower swords master that has 1 sword. The list goes on. Next is after beating this game you have nothing to do, siege crashes everytime and is ridiculously hard. But as if now , if you are a beginner And looking to buy the game go ahead but I'm warning you because after a month or maybe 2 weeks. You will get bored. I keep this game for updates and the last one was about a month ago. I hope foursaken media reads this comment . When you come up with an update you will get 5 starts I promise you .

A strong game, good updates.. Very good game and a great value. I would like to see a Rune Creator tool. It gets too slow to level up characters. Runes that allow you to gather Experience faster would help. Peons and Pikeman are nearly worthless. They need either more HP or to be cheaper. Siege mode supposedly has a secret strategy in order to beat. But it's so impossibly hard to figure out, it's not worth wasting time on it. I would like to see different challenge levels for siege mode (easy thru hard or impossible).

I would but.... I would rate this 4-5 stars but it just needs more updates. I don't really care what they are as long as they don't take the awesomeness out of the game. (We don't think of bug fixing updates as updates they are just bug fixes) First off,at least update graphics (i know they are good) but the hunter, peon, and archer all have the same face. Please make all units uniquely textured ( skeletons dont have to be, just humans) mabye have the skins give a bonus. Ex. +5% damage, speed or range etc. so please just retexture the game. Mabye have more than 1 weapon that does more damage but is slower. Ex. The knight could also have a war axe that does less damage but faster. (Dont at the war axe that is just an example, add like a morning star for the paladan and stuff like that.) lastly make a multiplayer that has 3-4 people, and possibly a 2v2 versus. (I forgot to say you could also make the dwarves hammer useable)

Best mobile game IMO... Just one problem. I've been playing this game since release and I've got to say it is the best mobile game I've played. Since the last update long ago, the multiplayer co op mode became very laggy. I play with my friend and we have similar devices (iOS). We both have perfect internet connection, both have the latest version of the game, and don't have power saving on. It would be great if you guys could fix this. Thanks for such a great game!

Fun until it Crashes, lags, & game is unbalanced. IN SOLO PLAY, PLEASE ADD AUTO SAVE SO WE DON'T LOSE EVERYTHING WHEN THE GAME CRASHES The most recent update fixed a lot of bugs but it still crashes many times during both solo campaign & multiplayer. This game is not finished being made & Is very unstable. New features are being added while normal game play suffers. - the power balance in multiplayer is still horrible. Sometimes an opponent with high lvl will attack & kill u within minutes of the game if you're on the evil side. Other possible changes needed: * If your teammate dies where the wall is, it can never be rebuilt. You can also be in the way of creating walls & buildings & the enemy can too. Please get rid of this. * when you build a lot of buildings, they block you from accessing the enemies attacking the mines in the back * there can be a lot of lag to where everything just remains frozen or impossible to shoot.

Love this game. Thanks for the latest huge update! Never saw that coming, I can play this game forever! The single player is excellent. I usually just fight hands on in the beginning then command my army from the safety behind my walls. You can play however you like though, lot's of options. I have a great Internet connection and the multiplayer works perfectly for me. People who complain about disconnects are probably low level noobs people disconnect from, or they are on 3G.

Brilliant. I'm a massive fan of Bug Heroes, so I came into this with pretty high expectations. They were exceeded. I would have loved a Bug-Heroes-Take-2-esque game, but this is something else completely. It has some of the older game's complexity, but is generally a faster, more desperate experience, with a much larger scale. Get this. Seriously, get it. Update: the update adds a ton of content. There are a couple of intermittent crashing issues, especially around the Siege mode, but this is still a hell of a game.

Great game.. I've been let down by a lot of games lately. Glad to say this isn't one of them. My only real gripe is the IAP. I know the adage "If you don't like it don't buy it" but that doesn't change how I feel about IAP as a whole. Charge a little more for a flat fee and stop with the in game currency. Basically it's kinda like tower defense or rts... But from the perspective of your hero. 3rd person combat and you can use time accumulated money to purchase structures or units. So far has been quite a bit of fun and I'm not sad to say I bought it.

F - Yeah!!. Really fun game and totally worth $2. It sounded fun but i wasn't sure and kinda circled around it in the app store for a few days. But like one guy said, "if you are even considering getting the game...just get it". I am having a lot of fun and so far I've only played the first 5 levels (with each of the 3 initial heroes) so I have many more levels to go. Plus, they now have added 2 new heroes in addition to siege mode which will be awesome because you can play as either the defenders or the attackers. Also, there is still the multiplayer (both pvp and co-op to look forward to) so this game offers a Lot of fun for the money!!

Good but the update..... Have had a a lot of fun with this game. And was so excited when I saw a update. But some problems first the two new classes are 35 gems. Which if you have already played prob like me spent a lot of the gems already. That's a good bit to get without spending it on upgrades which you have to do to get farther ahead. Also the siege mode fun but, fighting the knight and the engineer is no fun and hard to do as every hit knocks you to the ground. When the knight is out on the field he just keeps knocking me down and I lose...every time. Fix and its a 5 star for sure. 35 gems? That's like saying "hey play the old levels 35 times or spend $4.99 Ug

Worth the Cost!. This game is very fun and addicting. It has a great blend of tower defense and hack and slash which others have mentioned. Most importantly, I like that your progress is not dependent upon whether or not you choose to purchase in game currency. I'm getting tired of buying a game only to find out that to really enjoy it one must spend money on crystals, coins, rupees, drachmas, or whatever the new cash drain is. It's an option in this game but by no means mandatory. I like to earn my drachma the old fashioned way, by killing hundreds upon hundreds of low level peons for hours on end. Keep up the great work and I can't wait for updates.

Absolutely love this game. But please fix tanks on coop crashing issue. Also the ability to reset character stats should be provided somehow. We shouldn't be punished for upgrading useless stats when first playing the game. I.e. upgrading the rangers critical hit only to realize it naturally goes to 100% without upgrades. It would also be hugely beneficial to show the number of units on each icon in the unit menu. I can't tell you how much time I spend standing in the middle of the battlefield just staring back at my wall trying to figure out which unit was killed.

They do it again!. Wow!!!! Another massive massive update? Adds a entire new game? These guys are the best iOS Devs in the biz. Period. Perfect game. These brothers know how to make awesome unique games. By far my Fav Dev for iOS devices. My only wish is they break out into the console area. Downloadable games or someday a full fledged title. They are creative and hardworking and not greedy. This is what you get when you do what you love. It's evident these brothers love what they do and it's love for good games first ,money second. Get this game. There is nothing like it on the App store.

Great App. Simply one of the best apps I have, each unit is balanced with its own unique and interesting abilities. The developers are dedicated and skilled. An overall fun game full of hours of play with battle and strategy combined. Other units, skins, and upgrades can be bought with crystals THAT YOU CAN EARN quite easily through beating campaign levels. Once you purchase the app you don't have to spend any more money, so don't be discouraged by those claiming that you do.

Impossible difficulty endless grind.. I will say the paladin gets wrecked by the two handed sword skeletons...they knock you down, they strike fast and with decent reach, and then you get chain knocked down repeatedly by the other two handed sword skeletons. My only other complaint is that the mummies need to be tuned down. It takes absolutely forever for the damned things to die and I get to fight around ten of them at the same time. The mummies are tedious. --updated-- The difficulty scale is set to ludicrous. Logistically you can't win, you can not deal enough damage to kill all the extremely high health units that get fielded. Eventually you will get to the point where the game is unplayable. I am not sure why they decided to go this route, it started out fun them becomes a one sides chore.

Addicted. I have thoroughly enjoyed this game so far. There are now five (instead of the previous three) different characters to choose from. The update is a good one and it is a solid game all-around. Keep up the good work, Foursaken. I appreciate the hard work. I have no problems with the game, but I do have a few requests: 1.) My friends and I enjoy playing this game together. So four players when playing Co-Op and even a Two-On-Two Versus gameplay would make the game infinitely more fun for those of us with friends who play the game. 2.) With the Versus, maybe try to even it out a little better for Evil. Whenever I play as Evil, I get beaten 3/5 times. If I play as my hero, I win every time. Maybe that's just my lack of strategic thinking, but it's just a thought. I hope you read this review, as I would be ecstatic to see an update on multiplayer. Couldn't be happier. This was a fantastic purchase, my friend introduced me to it and I love it! It gives you great options in character choice so you're not stuck with just a single person. I hate to see these comments talking about how you "have to pay to advance in the game" no, you don't! I earned every single crystal that I have gotten, and I've been able to get all of the characters and I'm close to finishing all of my upgrades!

Awesome! Customize AI?. This game is really fun, but I think it would be much better if there was a way to adjust the AI of your troops. Even something as simple as being able to adjust melee troops to either A) defend the walls (like the Blunderbusses do now) B) range around killing everything (like the Pikemen do now) or C) stay with the hero (which nobody does now and I wish they did). You could make this an option in the Units screen outside of combat. When you're playing a class like the Paladin and your build is based on buffs and heals it gets really frustrating when your troops are running all over the zone by themselves.

Meh.. This game has great graphics, gameplay...but it gets to the point that you have to be everywhere. The difficulty is to high, would be nice if you could choose between easy,normal,or hard. I can't progress because of skeletons shooting arrows & destroying my keep. But I can't leave because I have to little health. And at the same time every peom I send out there gets massacred immediately. And I can't go out to kill the arrow guys because then my walls would break. So I end up losing every single time. Gets very frustrating. The only thing that I would enjoy would be an online versus mode which is supposedly coming. 4 star rating when the fix the dang difficulty. 5 stars when versus comes out.

Good bang for little buck :). I'm usually sceptic of pay games,.... And seemingly free games, but this one really delivers! You can quickly purchase upgrades, but if you're patient and skilled at all, you can get the same upgrades for free thru the game play. I'm halfway thru campaign and have already re-played first few levels with different classes, this is where the difficulty level is. Check it out, having played it now I'm sure I would have payed $5 for sure, let alone the $2.99 they ask for.

Need to improve the multiplay system~. Someday, The multiplay system has been changed when i installed this app again. In the past, i used to play the multiplay in game center but now, i think its own server for the multiplay. It looked good at the first time but now i have a problem in the condition of playing game. It started to be laggy and slow in the multiplay. I haven't seen like this before it was changed. I know it could be my network's condition or someone else but it always is too much laggy. I guess i'm usually playing this in asia so it would be a problem because it's too far from the origin server. Nees to fix it please~

This game is phenomenal.. I've had my iPad 3 for almost a year now, and I download games pretty often, some are better than others, but H&C is the first game that is so darn good that it got me to write a review. The combination of tower defense and a "hero" style game is absolutely amazing! If you have any doubt as to wether to pay the $1.99 or not I guarantee that this will be the best money you've spent on a game in a long time! There are some bugs, but thats expected with a new release. Do yourself a favor and try this out, you will be addicted instantly!!

Flawless. I hope this game goes really far considering updates. This game is flawless for the most part other than an occasional crash in the cooperative mode. I hope for a Bluetooth multiplayer option. And I really hope for just lots of stuff being added period. New buildings, units, characters, modes, etc. No complaints of course, it is an amazing game and I'd be happy to pay up to 8-ish dollars for it. For anyone reading this, don't worry about in app purchases since it is so ridiculously easy to earn gems. Anyway, a must get game in my opinion.

Great game. Please add some content. The last time new things were added was augest 27th 2013. These bug fixes seem useless as my game has been working perfectly on my 4s for a long time. Some ideas... A knight on a battle horse that has a big broadsword, a head wizard which is like the frost wizard(stays on walls) and gives a bonus damage, range, and firing speed to other wizards. Also more units that can kill wraiths as wraiths are the toughest enemy in the game in my opinion.
