It seems great. This game is actually pretty good. !!!!!EXCEPT they use sleazy scummy predatory ad practices to trick you into giving your personal information away so they can sell to their affiliates and make off of YOU!!!!! No matter what you do absolutely DO NOT TRUST their them with your information.

Grind a little. At first it’s boring, but grind and unlock spells. Then it gets very fun.

Actually super fun. I’m really enjoying it so far. A bit grindy but it’s definitely engaging.

New game from forsaken pretty fire could add some extra units tho. I give it 5 stars it’s pretty new I recommend anyone should play

OVERALL GREAT. The game is amazing and it is refreshing to see something new from my childhood favorite game studio forsaken media. I would prefer a game based on japanese, greek or any of those historical wars like sieging bases , etc not fictional characters

Super grindy and repetitive. I dont like that fact you have to grind all the heros to progress. It also makes it feel very micro managing having to upgrade everyone and everything. Just doesnt give me that fun previous games had.

Another instant hit by Forsaken. Coming from a PC player that casually plays mobile games here and there this is an absolute labor of love. I first found Forsaken Studios when Noblemen launched and from there on they have been my #1 in mobile games. It has a very intriguing story line that’s easy to get into, streamlined gameplay and a good bit of strategy to go along with it. Just like every other game these guys have out Forsaken studios have managed to hit yet another homerun with Magic vs Metal.

Another Fantastic Game!. I’ve played these games by these guys for years and years, and they never cease to amaze! This is a fantastic strategy game with a lot to play around with and customize. I hope they continue supporting this game and continue to make games in general! Bug Heroes 3 when?

Freakin awsome and fun!!!!. I have one of Forkens games War Tortoise 2 and it’s one of my favorites!!! So I knew this game has to be as fun knowing who the devs are!!!

One of the best. I downloaded this game from the screenshots thinking it was going to be either a scam or a bust. I have never been more happy to be proven wrong. First day I got it I played until 3am and lost track of time and have had a hard time putting it down since. Easy to grind levels and materials, and each character feels different enough to make each one fun to play. I absolutely recommend it

Difficult at first then turns to a breeze. I was losing a lot but these spins boosted my minions, I can just chill in the back while my robots do all the hard work. I was using two handed which was fun and all but I want to speed through the levels so I recommend one handed to get though levels and unlock abilities faster then you can use two handed when you're bored or want that first person experience. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good progression! Well designed!!. This is a very good game. You can upgrade your hero’s without feel like you’re being handicapped by not paying with real money though that is an option as is watching as many or as little ads as you want for rewards. I’m really please with this game. It’s entertaining and has become a very welcome distraction.

It’s good. This game is good. The developers are amazing. 3 stars because not my favorite style of game. If they made it more like kings and castles 2 this would be a 5 forsure. Kings and castles 2 was the best app I’ve ever played.

Great Game. When it comes to games now a days not many put in as much effort as this one, great 3D models, A few different selection of styles, and a lot of deals to bring you back. If your looking for a game that is like those old classics with a new spin, I would recommend picking up Magic VS Metal!

Needs controller support. It’s pretty but it needs controller support. Might as well be an auto-battle game.

Disappointing. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed many of Foursaken Media’s previous games, this just seems soulless. The gameplay is just mindless. The control is janky. While H&C2 may have had worse graphics, it’s the better game.

This is an absolute God send. I’ve played Noblemen, Heroes&Castles2, B.E, but this is one of the newest and my personal favorite game by far. The way it looks, operates, battlefields could be changed so it isn’t repetitive, and it even has it’s own backstory/lore. A few levels get very, extremely hard when they have enemies(I am playing as Mecha solely right now) like the Nightmares. For some reason shooting a nightmare never kills them or quite frankly damages them. They seem to be invincible from my attacks half the time and it feels like only my troops do damage. But all in all this is a game that should win awards for being the mobile game needed to be seen in the App Store more often!

Best game studio. This is best mobile game studio by far, it has good graphics and low date and unique playstyle. This game and war tortoise is my favorite

It seems really fun but… WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO DISABLE AUTO FIRE. I hate auto firing in games and i need there to be a setting that lets me disable it

i just realized that i can have even the vault for 9.99. in this game remove adds will give you every curency for 9.99 every while if i go to the vault i can get the purple things

Great game and amazing graphics. Great game and a ton of fun. AAA graphics. My only complain is the season pass. $10 a month is just too much for what is offered. Change the seasons to 30 days an I would gladly support the game. But $120 a year is a little outrageous when that doesn’t even remove all ads.

Awesome game!!. Very fun to play in my down time. Only thing is I’d love to purchase the battle pass but once I click to buy it just continues to say loading… I’ve tried closing and refreshing the game, still nothing happens. Regardless. Super fun to play. Thanks!!

Successor to heroes and castles. This game is great and has idle resource collection and the ads actually give you great rewards. The balancing of heroes is also really good. The only thing to make this game better is a bigger hero selection and coop. It would make the game perfect.

Another Foursaken classic. A few suggestions to improve: Major: * campaign needs a fast forward button (arena already has one). * campaign needs an auto-play or a way to destroy the enemy tank/ summoning circle on defense levels. Many levels are tedious to play because they’re too easy, so auto or a way to destroy the enemy base would alleviate the tedium. (Or if you really want to be generous, a “auto-win if hero & abilities > X” and skip playing a level entirely.) Minor: * it would be nice manage inventory on one screen, so I can see (and use?) hero/power tokens and break down weapons/runes all in one place, without switching heroes to CHECK if they have tokens to be used or digging through each specific tab to find the rune to break down. * a “replace” option when viewing a card in the deck. Tap a card > tap replace > see eligible options. Sometimes I know I don’t want a card in my deck but I’m not sure if I have anything to replace it. This would help me filter my available cards and know what the options are.

Gewd game. This game is the spiritual successor to Heros and castles 1 & 2 by the same studio. Just 4k years in the future :) NO FORCED ADDS in the game! :)) micro transactions are present but not needed, they give you plenty of resources to lv, craft, and upgrade.— the game is a 3rd person shooter/ hack n slash with different classes to play, with troops/abilities. On a 3rd battlefield. ingame mana system (for abilities and summons) is much like clash royales. theres differnt game modes, and a campaign for magi and machines (the 2 races each with 3 classes) You can craft runes and weapons. The weapons are quite unique, were one might shoot a death rayanother summons drones to attack for you. And the runes do anything from give your base weapons, give your hero abilities, or give your minions buffs ———-and a lot more that I haven’t leveled up to experience yet. Great game great developers

Foursaken Does it again. These guys have been making excellent games for as long as I’ve been playing on iOS back since they released the first heroes and castles. This game is also excellent as have been effectively every release they’ve had. I appreciate you all still making these releases, keep it up.

Repetitive grind. After i found a bug that gives me unlimited resources (gold and premium in game cash), i was able to beat hundreds of levels. However it just has nothing new to offer. If you play the first 20 levels you have seen it all. What is the bug? Can’t tell you here. Hopefully i am not the only one knew about this.

Another fantastic game. Another great foursakenmedia game. It’s of a similar feel to heroes and castles, with fantastic graphics and is the most optimized game to date. I’ve had no performance issues.

Incredible spiritual successor of Heroes Vs Castles.. I’ve always been a fan of forsaken media games. This game takes the cake. I love the ability to switch between one hand and two hand and the fact that it feels like 2 different games after you switch. Amazing job devs! Please keep up with some updates and I’ll give you my time and money.

Better than xpected. I got this game because of the title and trailer. It is a very good game and it has excellent graphics it’s not a pay to play type app (Like Mech wars or mech arena) and in my opinion it seems like a strategy game but not just that you can also fight while thinking of strategies to defeat the enemies (or fortress). So far what I’ve gotten through seems interesting and fun (although no story so far) I think a story is really the only thing this game is missing Thanks for reading this I hope it helped you in your decision to get this game!

Can’t complete chapter 1. I don’t know if I missed something but it will not let me play the 4th attack of chapter one. It says I have more to do before playing again but I can’t see anything else to do.

It’s a good game. It’s a good game just very repetitive and not a whole lot of different content more of a time killer if anything was hoping the area was pvp but it’s just pve also make it to where you can move and attack the whole standing still and attacking is lame

Amazing game!!🔥🎉. Over all, the game play is a little tricky in the beginning. But like all games it takes time. This is definitely a strategy game, but it is also very fun and intense.

Controls Do Not Work. I would have liked to give this game a try. However, the download was riddled with bugs. First, I choose single hand control and the app would not load from that. Then, with two-handed control the app loaded. However, the attack on my base started and I was without defense or attack controls. When options for defending and attacking finally appeared, I could not properly choose a target. After being defeated in the battle (obviously) the app would never transition out of the “Defeat” window and locked up. I tried loading it several times and checking ways to get this app to work with no joy. I used the latest version of iPad Air with a ton of free memory space. This one was a big loser.

Great So Far. Very cool, haven’t felt the need to spend money.

Wish you could seamlessly change views. Would give 5 stars if there was a button on the main HUD for changing between 3rd Person and RTS views. Very cool idea

Carnagefest fun. This game is fun and has epic character detail and abilities. The impact you feel from the skills and fighting is awesome. Enjoying this so far, and the missions are quick.

My impression, ITS AMAZING!!!. This game is a very unique take on the rts genre, and I really think it’s cool. Having two playable factions, each with different strengths and weaknesses, is a very cool design. As a budding 40k fan, I really like the technology faction, as it reminds me of the mechanicus. Keep up the good work!

Good but disappointing. Have very mixed feelings about this. Firstly I am really glad to see this developer back, and to be fair, objectively speaking this is a decent game. The trouble is that it just looks like a dumbed down version (albeit with better graphics and a reimagined theme) of Heroes and Castles 2. Less diverse units, a cap on the number you can utilize, auto fire, no heavy attack or block, etc. It speaks to the profound quality of the original game that a dumbed down version some eight or so years later can still be seen as a decent game. However, I would have hoped that after such a hiatus that the first offering would be something more than this. I am loath to say this and to give a lukewarm review because Foursaken is truly a gem among developers; it is not lost on me that their games were always affordable to a fault and that they are mostly still playable even eight years later - they have been updated when many big developers haven’t bothered to do the same. But it’s disappointing to see that they might be scaling back on the ambition and quality of their games so as to cut costs. In my view the quality was never the problem, it was the lack of marketing and perhaps even a lack of greed, noting that I would have been glad to pay to buy the new characters in Heroes and Castles 2 or support it in other ways. In light of all this I will give it four stars although I think this is generous given that it’s arguably not much more than a reskin of a better game. I hope that the developer will take what I have said on board because I believe many other old fans would feel similarly

incredible!. Forsaken Media I have been playing your games since 2014 and I have to say you never disappoint me. The games you make are so stunning, they are eye catching because they are something different from all the other games I see. Magic vs Metal has to be my favourite one out of them. Behind it is heroes and castles 2 which is still incredible to this day. The ability to summon troops is amazing, unlock different ones, play as both factions which is mecha and magi. Forsaken Media please keep doing this, you are incredible at it so do not stop. You have to be the best game company or whatever I have ever seen.

Oh yes!!. Foursaken Media knock it clean out the park yet again! EDIT: Ignore anyone whining about a nerf. The issue they’re moaning about was addressed within days of the update.

Great Game. Been around since Noblemen and Block Fortress Empires and just like those games, this one is a classic. I love it.

Disappointing practices. A lot of talk these days about game companies and money grabs. I would not have said this about this company in the past but this is now the only game I am aware of where you pay for a massive nerf. Suggestion put in for paid ad removal makes it in the next day. Request to have this paid feature disabled or made to be the same as the free version with no response for a week now. Free version is a withdrawal every 30 seconds. Paid version is every 15 minutes. Free version of vault is every 15 minutes. Paid version of vault is every 24 hours. Withdrawal is the main means of f level progression. Shame as it is a fun game but the comical level of frustration attached to paying to be nerfed so severely is too much. So if you don’t pay for anything great game and I recommend it. If you make my mistake do what I am about to do and keep looking.

Very disappointed. This game is both crazy grind and expensive. First of all, there are 6 heros from 2 factions, each faction play different levels and have different currency. Yet each hero need to be independently upgraded (weapon, monster and level). There's around 20 paid skill for each hero that can only be obtained through gacha, and IS NOT SHARED. Its more like playing 6 account in parallel instead of having 6 heros. Furthermore, this makes maxing out heros nearly impossible. This game have a lot of areas that requires paying with little hero control (move or gun, not both). There is so many games like this with more fair price. I would suggest this: 1.Have the same "deck" level for all heros, with each "pull" giving 2 awaed, 1 for each faction. 2.Be able to select another hero as "backup" or summon card. So people have incentive to train multiple heros. 3. In the future, other than adding more card, add more heros to each faction. 4. add some sort of paid levels where you can select Any factions's card you like with fixed levels, call it something like "chaos" stages and write some story like aliens control Unit to attack both factions. 5. 4, but rogue

Excellent Game! But…. Being a fan of real-time fantasy strategy and castle defense I was shocked/saddened that Heroes & Castles 2 didn’t get the attention it deserved… it was such an amazing game. I’ve played that game for years and I definitely admire your studio. Unfortunately I was rather ‘meh’ about War Tortoise 1&2 despite the pretty fun concept of backyard animals engaged in modern warfare. The main reason I was underwhelmed was because of the almost manic gameplay (compared to H&C2 which achieved a near perfect pace; escalating slowly as the levels increased until the higher levels took some time, patience & strategy to beat). Also the almost constant updating of skills & abilities was instant overkill. It’s almost meaningless because you’re able to upgrade so quickly.. oh those numbers! Hundreds at first, then 10,000, then hundreds of thousands omg so much numbers!! That’s a pretty lame dopamine hit. Which is why after only a few weeks of gameplay I checked out. Anyways I get it… the kids nowadays need more and more stimuli. But the gameplay is where it’s at, amiright? I mean, why did people play WoW for years?? Fulfilling game play with long-term strategy would be my guess. So I LOVED the updated version of the H&C gameplay, yet I knocked off a star due to the addition of the WT style of intense increases in abilities. OH! And also, it’s kinda lame that I can update some of the characters even if I haven’t even used them, due to the shared pool of resources/rewards. It speeds up the game progression WAY too quickly. Slow down guys… you’re awesome, but when the pace of gameplay requires the use of adderall, the lifespan of gameplay decreases due to burnout. Is H&C3, but with a touch more focus on complex long-term strategy with harder-to-attain rewards a future possibility? I hope so, but wouldn’t be surprised if you said ‘nay’. Anyways I’ll play this for a bit, I LOVE the concept, but I suspect burnout awaits sooner rather than later.

Knew it. Same as the garbage castle games they made . It is fun at first but becomes extremely overbearing after about a hour of play . Endless hordes of over powered troops get sent at you and you have absolutely no hope . You will constantly be on a huge grind of barely making it past a level and even if you do the next one is so hard you either have to buy things or watch 100000000 ads just to barely scrape by for another level of 2 at best . Some of you might have the time and patience for this trash can of a game but I sure ain’t gunna sit here and grind my butt off just to barely make it another level . And I got better things to spend my hard earned money on than on a phone game that barely lets me make it . Pfff

Game concept is near perfect. All the makings of a great game are advanced progression across multiple systems to strengthen the characters, abilities, and weapons. The world building has potential to become something really interesting. I have followed these devs for a long time and played all their games for iOS so far. The problem is that all the potential this game has to be truly great isn’t being met due to all the time constructing the OTHER systems to add monetization to the game. It’s understandable to a degree, but the mechanics are actually anti-player. There’s a predatory factor to some of the games monetization practices in the form of loot boxes disguised as crafting. You need to pay real money for in game currency to pay for crafting materials which give you randomly generated gear. In addition, there are difficulty spikes that make it difficult to progress without a fair bit of grinding or the purchase of currency to help quicken progression. In addition, there’s a battle pass system, a daily login system (to promote habit forming) and basically some form of utilization of all the psychological manipulations that make up mobile monetization. And who could blame them? They need money just like anyone else. The problem is that they have such a good idea on their hands that if correctly implemented could make a truly great game. Their original works offered a paid purchase path that basically let you play the game without the other monetization theatrics. This and their prior title have taken the turn for heavier and more manipulative monetization strategies which I personally deplore. Still. The game is a lot of fun for the majority of the time and I highly recommend it to those who don’t mind supporting malicious monetization schemes that has become the staple of mobile gaming. Thanks FarmVille….

JUST GRIND IT OUT AND HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS ON THE BATTLE FIELD AND WIN. THAT SIMPLE. GRAPHICS ARE TOP OF THE LINE AND THE COMPETITION TO THIS GAME DONT STAND A CHANCE . DONT EVEN BOTHER. PERIOD.
