😍. It took a while but I'd say it was totally worth it... IAA, Awesome piano samples/variations and an expansion pack!?!? Ik Multimedia is the best! This app is significantly more useful than the Korg Module which is extremely overpriced! Better Piano samples and NO POLYPHONY ISSUES!!! THANK YOU IK MULTIMEDIA!!!!!

The Musiknut. Thank you isn't enough to show my gratitude for your more-than-awesome iGrand Piano app. Finally, I found a piano app that sounds like the real thing. Not only that, but it comes with 8 amazing types of pianos ranging from grands to uprights. And you can purchase 9 more types, each one with their unique tonal quality, feeling and resonance. I have spent several hundred dollars trying to find a piano app with real piano sound. Some of them quite expensive, ALL of them with cheap, toy-ish sounds (Midi Trail, Pianist Pro, Music Studio, bs-16i, 50in 1 PianoHD, Symphonix Evolution, Master Piano, Sampler Sequencer HD, Easy Piano Chords HD, Pro Keys, Song Composer, Guido Creator, Fruity Loop Studio HD [expensive with a low quality sounds and graphics]. Three of the Yamaha apps I bought also has poor piano sound. Now, a really good app for piano sounds and other instruments(if you are more interested in full band sounds is Sample Tank..the sounds are pretty much faithful to the real intrument's. however, I need not to look any further and waste more money in piano apps. This is it! iGrand Piano is the truly all-star, professional piano(s) app! You must try it...you will be convinced it is the "bestest".

Very Nice Pianos. Before purchasing this group of pianos I previewed the free version. Only 49 notes in the middle range of the 88 note keyboard are operational in the free version. I very much liked what I heard. So, I contacted customer support to find out maximum polyphony, and was told it was 24. That just isn't high enough to have a satisfying playing experience. Last week I received a promotional email from IK Multimedia stating that iGrand piano was updated and the polyphony increased to 64, making these more viable instruments. I purchased the pack and am quite happy with it. I am basing this review on what this pack has to offer the musician, in the way of some quality sounding pianos with just enough parameters to adjust them to your liking. And I'm not going to whine about what I think it should or shouldn't have. From a sound and playability perspective, this is a very nice collection of pianos. In fact, for $20 this is the best value I have seen in the five years that I have been using virtual instruments.

IAP's won't restore!. IAP's won't restore after updating to ios9! Very frustrating, similar problem with sampletank.

Who needs a real piano!. Absolutely stunning piano app. Hooked this device into a good speaker system and "wow", everyone thought I had a real piano in my tiny apartment and.., you don't just have "A" piano, you've got plenty in this app. More than a novice musician would probably use. Did I mention the sound is so authentic everyone will think you have a very expensive piano in your pad. lol, I mean in your house. So forget about all those other piano apps you see floating around and make a solid investment in iGrand piano. You won't regret it.

RIPOFF !!! Must purchase TWICE if you own an ipad and iPhone. what I dislike about this company, is that they make completely separate apps (for all of their products) for either iPhone or iPad. Which means that if you want to download the app to each device, you have to pay TWICE, UNLIKE GarageBand and countless other apps which basically allows you to pay for the app one time, then install to either iPhone or iPad. BAD PR move guys...

I cant believe it!!!. This app is more than you can imagine. Im a freak of piano sound, I have a Yamaha S70xs and I like iGrand piano sound moreeeee than my Yamaha. Just it need some improvement: latency and sound distortion in the output. But isnt all the time so you can handle that. Really is the best app for piano sound lovers. I will pay again without hesitation.

Great Grand. What a wonderful tool for both live and in the studio. Great dynamics, damping and response. As a song writing tool I feel it is unmatched. Thanks IK. However, under closer inspection, I noticed there is a distinct volume disparity between the white and the black keys. I tested many times with different songs. Same. The accidental keys are 30% less volume than the natural keys. After a few sessions it became clear that my playing style is equal temperament On a real grand, I play black keys as loud as white keys. Automatic. At first, I thought I just needed to hit tho black keys harder. Well this impacted my style and creativity. So I can't use it for most things but I think you can fix that.

Great Piano App. I love this app and the sounds are very good. The only reason I only gave four stars is because it glitches every time I open it and then a box pops up that says iGrand piano cannot access the audio input. I click okay and then it works. Also I don’t see the app within the Microphone section of Privacy in settings.

Chords failing in iOS 9. Pressing two or more notes simultaneously doesn't always play both notes. Until a major update I consider this app broken by Apple. IPad Air 2. Same problem with iMaschine, indicating a problem with iOS 9.

Ads?!?!?. Every time I launch the app, my playing is interrupted with TWO ik multimedia adds that I have to answer before I can continue to play. I PAYED for this app. This is insulting! Come on IK. Incidentally, this app does not work well with the Alesis io dock.

Thank you!. Thank you for the latest update allowing background audio to work with the app! This is is perfect for me as I love to play along to songs and backing tracks. Videos work too. Make sure to tap the keys as the audio starts in case it doesn't work

Midi unresponsive. I loves these apps, but after the new updates it wouldn’t trigger with my micro Korg XL+ nor my Motif XF6.... Is this fixable?..

Great app, no distortion. This is a tremendous piano app. I have used it in the past year on several different recording sessions that required grand piano. I'm not talking on someone's laptop in a bedroom recording - real pro sessions at real recording studios in the greater Seattle area. Working with several different producers and engineers, they were all blown away by the quality and purchased the app immediately for themselves. To the reviewer who is having trouble with distortion, you probably have your iPad gain set to maximum. This will definitely distort the output, whether you're using a music app or just listening to music. On any Apple device or computer, the main output should never be set above 75%. Just increase your gain after the device output, and your distortion should be gone. I've never had a problem. If I did, I wouldn't dream of using an inferior product for work. Buy this, and also buy their iLectric piano app. For about 40 bucks, you will have a really great arsenal of piano sounds.

Acoustic Pianos? Here they are!. As far as sampled acoustic pianos sounds is concerned, this app is the one. The effects are classy, the renditions of the original pianos are very useful and Audiobus makes it easy to add to your songs. All in all, very satisfied with this specialty app.

Great Sound. This is a great sounding piano app! It works with iRig hardware and even the Akai Synthstation … but it crashes.. When it's up and running I love it. I am a professional pianist and now teach with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. I think this app would be quite useful in teaching and even gig environments. Please fix the crashing problem to provide a stable platform. 5 stars and a stellar review if you fix the crashing problem!

A great all around piano app. Let me start off by saying that this isn’t the sounding piano app on iOS. Beyond that, it’s the best at everything else and the sound is not bad. In fact, the sound is very good and it has an extremely broad palette of piano colors which I have come to really enjoy. It’s light on memory and CPU as well. Its metronome can play while you are not recording! Hallelujah! It has easily accessed parameters that can be adjusted to perfect your tone and responsiveness. It’s my go to app for practicing.

Piano yes; Ads no. Nice instrument. Modal ads are not cool, especially on a paid app. For the future: larger and/or sizable onscreen keyboards would be a great addition.

Great sound, excellent midi mapping. For me, only two of the piano's are awesome, the others are for a piano bar. So, Instant digital piano with a midi controller, check. Next Let's talk midi Mapping functions, eq, sustain, piano lid and so on are pretty great because you can tap the function to learn midi control, turn the button on your keyboard and your done, that's pretty amazing. And when you come back in the app it remembers the midi mapping. Flawless. Turns useless rotary knobs on a midi controller into something useful.

Best most realistic Piano(s). iGrand is the BEST Piano on the App Store. This app has several different types of pianos: grand pianos, upright pianos, concert pianos, etc. They all sound great just like you're playing the real thing. Great controls for tone, reverb, ambience, sustain, even if the piano lid is up or down! There are lots of great pianos on the App Store, I have almost all of them, but this is what I use when I want to play the Piano.

Good sounds, but get rid of the ads. First of all, I paid for this app, so IK Multimedia needs to stop putting ads on it. I want to open up a piano and play it, not have to dismiss popup ads. That’s just terrible. For that reason alone, I’m dropping three stars from my rating. In addition to the ads, every time I open the app there's a dialog stating that AudioBus integration failed. Every. Single. Time. The piano sounds are good, the best I’ve found for the iPad. I have a BM in piano performance, and currently use an RD-700NX at home, so I’ve had experience on a variety of pianos. This piano isn’t going to blow you away, but it’s far better than the GarageBand piano and many other iPad apps. As for people complaining about the distorted sound, they just have the gain cranked too high in the app’s settings. There’s a level meter that makes it easy to set the gain so you never peak. I use this as a cheap portable piano, controlled with a Novation Impulse connected to the iPad via a powered USB hub and a Camera Connection Kit.

Found one issue. Piano sounds are great but the only issue I found is that I'm using a camera kit connector in my Ipad to my keyboard MIDI and when I press my sustain pedal in my keyboard it also plays a note from the keyboard by itself...

Delightful. This is a delightful virtual piano. Sound is excellent and with my iRig Keys, it makes a lovely portable piano that I can carry anywhere. Thanks IK Multimedia.

Distortion and pops when played hard on ipad3. At first I thought the problem was in my headphones, but the problem was duplicated on other phones, and the phones didn't distort on other soft synths or the Garageband piano. For the most part the different pianos in the standard package don't sound very different. On a newer iPad you might get better performance.

Nice piano. Pros: 1) Nice soft and mid piano sample layers, as good or better than my Motif XF and new sounds I have loaded, especially when you want to play really soft (Pianissimo). I had said that the output was distorted, but this was because the factory volume setup. IGP is better that Korg Module Pianos, because Korg has lower the Polyphony to unplayable labels.

Good but needs midi file import. Would be an epic 5 star rating if it included midi file import!

No Audiobus compatible for iOS 8. Bought this amazing piano app, but I need to use this app along with Garageband string section sound. Make this app compatible with audiobus in iOS 8, then you'll get the 5 stars.

Broken!. This app has not been updated for AudioBus on iOS 8.

Regular distortion unbearable. Great voices, much better polyphony than garage band, but the distortion that comes in regular starts and fits makes it unbearable. Support will say it's a volume thing (it's not) or a memory thing (nope) nor is it a sustain pedal thing (and the even if it were, should I only be able to run the thing on low volume, with no other apps running, and no pedal?)

Terrible app. I bought this to improve the sound I was getting from GarageBand. OMG GarageBand kills this app. It was so weak and tinny I had to return it. Remember this little plastic pianos for 2 year old kids! That’s what this sounds like. And they want me to pay $15 more for additional piano sounds?I don’t think so. Save your money GarageBand hat far superior sound quality.

No more popups. They are annoying. An otherwise great app is ruined by incessant ads. I paid. Leave me alone.

Great Sounds, where's IAA?. I love these piano sounds, they are noticably improved over the piano sounds in SampleTank. Adding IAA support so I can easily integrate iGrand with Cubasis for recording would make it a 5 star app for me.

I've bought everything!. Great sound, great app, annoying pop ups! I own iGrand. I own SampleTank. Please let me get to my sounds without the annoyances! So bad I deduct two stars!

Why is this still on the AppStore?. No update in 7 years??? No auv3 support, is anyone even still using this? This should have been gone from the AppStore along with a lot of other apps years ago, I haven’t used it for anything in at least 4 years now.

Outstanding sound. Beautiful Grands, uprights okay, add on Grands first rate but Baby grands don't measure up.

Will not connect to Midi via Bluetooth. This app will not let me connect via Bluetooth to my Midi, whereas there is no problem at all connecting to the free iGrand app. so I have wasted $7.99. The free version is wonderful and I have bought both extension packs. Great sound, much better than other piano apps.

Annoying pop up ads. Despite paying the relatively high cost for this app and all its add-ons, this app still launches a pop up ad for iRig Keys at launch. Cheap.

Great sounds. I have plugged this into my Casio WK7500 and it sounds fantastic, possibly slightly better than the piano sounds on the Casio.

splendid….. … and sweet. Of course connecting USB/midi keyboard via Apple's Camera Connector Kit makes it far more functional and enjoyable.

Great sound and value! Be sure to check your in-app Settings.. This sounds great! I'm using an iPad 2 - the cheapest full size one available, with an Alesis I/O dock. Used a Kawai MP8-II as a controller. This sounds and plays great. There's a bit of latency, but nothing terrible. I can't take advantage of the Ultra-Low latency setting on my iPad. I assume it's because it's an iPad2, not one of the newer ones. It plays well nonetheless, and sounds better than the main piano sound of my old Roland RD-700, the expansion card in my old Triton rack and my current controller, the Kawai. So it's perfectly usable for gigs. The main Grand piano uses two velocity switched samples per key. Play with the velocity settings to get it to play and respond well with your controller. There aren't a lot of parameters to play with, but the basic sounds are so good that it's not really necessary. Bottom line: if you want a great piano sound on your iPad that is good enough to cut any live gig, this is it. For ten bucks, this app is amazing!

Great Piano Sounds. I use this app with Midi Studio or iRig Keys as a controller. Excellent piano sounds for the price. However, really disappointed when I got my iPhone and found out that I'd have that the iPhone app is separate and I'd have to repurchase it.

Needs AUv3 support. Very good piano app but can’t be used (well) in most DAWs because it lacks AUv3 support. (Please add this feature.)
