Awesomest App!!!. !!!!!!!

Love it, love it, love it!!. I'm a songwriter at heart, but besides loving music & carrying a tune, I have no musical abilities. This made it SOOO easy to put music to my lyrics! Very easy to navigate & use, even without knowing a stitch of musical theory!! Thank you for this amazing app!!

Great learning tool. I'm a long time guitar teacher. One of the best things i ever did for myself was learn how drums work by programming a drum machine to play songs i knew. I'm still looking through this thing, but it looks like a great way to really learn how songs and accompaniment are put together - if i dig it over the next week, i'll even drop the $20 for the full version - it will export midi for me to drop into pro tools :)

Not really free. Without spending at least another $2.99, this "free" version is just a totally stripped-down, barely usable demo...

Try this- its free- you can afford it. Get idea and execution- plenty if help and even a 4+min tutorial- not exactly or even remotely what is an looking for but certainly worthy of a positive rating and high marks considering. Thanks!!

not worth it. i got this to experiment with chord progressions for song writing but there’s an extremely limited selection of chords and you have to pay $20 to be able to get more??? it doesn’t make sense

It's okay but,. It's nice for brain storming and everything but there is no way to print it out or export or share a file

Nice but not 💰THAT💰 nice... It’s a decent app but it’s obviously amateur and to unlock any features you need to pay $20! This is a $5 app at most, not a $20 one.

It's really really cool. Compose/transcribe your chord strumming, all from your iPhone. I haven't used it that much, so I can't give 100% confidence to may 5 stars, but so far, it looks really promising.

Just the app I need for songwriting!!!. As a maker of computerized music - what I need is an instrument that I can use to play around strumming different chords till I get just what I need for my next song. And given the minimal space and paper-thin walls of my apartment, an app for the purpose is often far more convenient than having to break out a physical guitar for the purpose. This app does what I need better than anything I have ever found!!! — I notice that the app has not been updated in years. I hope that this is because the developer has an “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” attitude, which is definitely a plausible explanation given how well the app does what it is meant for. I wish, though, that there was a way that I could be _assured_ that this is the reason for a lack of updates in recent years. — This app will not teach you how to play guitar. But who cares!! There are other apps for that - and this app does not _claim_ to do that!!! This app is a chord test-board for song-writers!! That is what it claims to be for — and for that purpose it is the best I have found so far!! (And pretty good at it.)

Wonderfully simple, deceptively powerful. This is the best app I've run across for creating and nurturing a guitar based song idea. Creating strum patterns, picking individual notes and selecting or building absolutely any chord you would like makes it super simple to try out different progressions and ideas. I love this app!

Crashes every time after opening app, why?. I got new iPad Pro 4, invested $20, but now it crashes all the time and the UI is broken too, buttons doesn't work as expected. I think it's due to iOS 10, hope it gets fixed asap. Otherwise I would've increased the rating as well.

Nice but.... The stupid thing says I have the pro version but when I try to use all the features it says pay for upgrade. Then when I try to pay for it, it will not allow me because I have the pro version already. Someone help!!

Terrific!. I don't play guitar (yet) but I write music. This app makes it easy to record a simple background track for my songs. I love it!

Nice. But $11 for to make it functionally useful? I like it, but not that much.

Guitar songwriting made easy. Ill keep this short, if you play guitar or want to write songs, what do you have to lose ? get this app NOW! Yes if you want to change key or export you'll have to pay a couple of bucks but chances are like me you'll upgrade after only a few minutes. There is so much packed into this app that it was initially overwhelming. I recommend watching the video a couple of times to really understand. Oh and two gotchas I only discovered after a while: The little pick icon strum buttons can be scrolled. And if you press and hold on one then touch another finger on a chord name you can lock that chord to that strum style. To the developer please add email sharing as I'm finding iTunes a little cumbersome.

Yes!. Best thing out there for what I need - One-handed use and ability to go through the entire diatonic chord progression with the addition of pentatonic nodes of chord usage. Helps to memorize all the songs I work on. Thanks guys for putting this out - the ability to record is just a nice bonus for me!

You think Simple Songwriter is good?.... ...you haven't seen anything! As a guitar player - this is the best app Ever! Repeat - EVER!

Seems like it could be awesome with updates. But unfortunately, it seems to crash upon opening on both my iPhone 6s and iPad Air in os10. Perhaps it needs an update?

The best guitar app I've found so far. I hope the developer will continue to support and develop this app. It has the best selection of chords, is easiest to play, has midi out, pretty great. I would prefer that all of the features were in one screen (maybe tabs instead of entering and exit gin screens), but so far, that's a small complaint for the quality provided.

Great app. When your guitar is out of reach and you are missing it this app can give you the fix you are looking for.Good strumming sequences and chord access for song writing.

Excellent. Great app for song writing on the go. I was looking for a simple app that would let me mess with chords etc and this is what I use now. 10/10 would recommend to anyone:)

Really has a great depth. For what it's designed for it executes it perfectly.

App review. This app is great. Before I used it I didnt even know how to play guitar or what a chord was. Now however I am playing sold out rocknroll shows all over th world ! Fender is doing a signature model guitar for me and I'm rich beyond my wildest dreams. Buy this app

Guitar. Don't have a clue how to write music, but this app makes it fun to try. Nice to get some sounds recorded and able to edit easily.

Ripoff!!!!. I bought the FULL VERSION and then the next time I went to go use it I had to buy it again FULL PRICE because none of it would work!!!!! Scam!! Ripoff!!
