Great app for our band!. We really like all of the features in BandHelper, using it now for 6 weeks or so. We were able to consolidate many things into this one app - lyrics sheets, set lists, schedules, recordings/backing tracks, and everyone's individual cheat sheets. Looking to take advantage of automated Midi control next! Highly recommend it!

Prices going up in March. $15 hike in prices coming March? Quite a jump don’t you think?

This App is a Necessity. We love this app for the song list organization and equally for the band member scheduling. It’s been life changing by helping to keep our band Big Time Grain Company on the same page.

A Must have app for any musical performer!. Whether you are a solo performer or member of a band, this app will instantly change how you organize your songs, set lists an recordings. The app support is first class and the developer is always looking to improv3 the capability of the app.

Get this now!!. This improved my musical life! I was old school binder guy. Now I use this every week, either performing or just having a fun jam with friends and family. And it works on my really old iPads!

Great App. If you’re in a band at any level this is a terrific app. Also some of the best support ever. I highly recommend this app!!!

Best musician app. I’m a drummer…. No more set lists taped to the floor It’s no big deal to make song changes gig to gig or even within the gig. And the last thing for me…… The viewing song list can have a blinking metronome so I can always stay in tempo no matter how excited I am! Put the app on an IPad and connect an IPad holder somewhere you can reach and see that’s out of the way. I have mine on my High Hat stand. I just scratch the surface with this thing. It does so much more!!! Well worth the yearly fee and….. Arlo updates often. Get it!

Easy to get started, exciting Midi features. The main reason I was interested in this app was to take advantage of its Midi capabilities. I use a guitar synth that has a very clunky interface, (looking at you, Roland) and was looking for a way to streamline selecting patches, mostly between songs. It works perfectly for this application, connecting to my synth using a bluetooth midi adapter, and after spending some time setting up program changes in the app, my entire song list now automatically activates the correct patch for each song. One non-obvious thing also, you can add as many Midi Presets to a song as you want, and use that song as a menu to select presets when a song is not on the set list… Brilliant! If that was all it did, it would be worth the monthly fee to me, but it has much more capability than I’ll ever need. I have found it easy to navigate, and getting started was a breeze. I can see that its mainstream value is in set lists, with lyrics and chords in your device in many different configurations, but the midi stuff is the thing that seals the deal for me. Also I would like to compliment the developer on the outstanding tutorials and support docs; very complete and easy to understand.

Off the charts support!. I recently switched over from Set List Maker. Easy and seamless transition. This is really terrific software. I’ve got everything organized: active set lists, working songs, an extensive list of songs to learn, stage layouts and practice layouts. My show has some unique requirements. I put in a couple of feature requests and Arlo, the developer instantly responded. He was patient in talking me through a few ways to tweak the app to get it to do what I wanted. There is way more to this app than I need but it makes my life and my show better. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

Very hard to use. I’ve had this program for well over a month and have spent hours trying to get it to work with my band. I have used the tutorials numerous times with the same results. This program is not user friendly at all. You have to start with a desktop or laptop computer then it crosses over to your iPad. Many times our band will want to add a song to the set list right before the venues and guess what...I don’t have my laptop or do t have enough service in the venue for it to cross over. This is not something that you can do quickly and get back to the real world of jobs, kids, etc. It takes a lot of time and I’ll just stick to the binders and paper if this is the only option I have. Trying a different app...

Fantastic!. I’ve been using Bandhelper for 4 years. It’s a breeze juggling multiple gigs now. Thanks Arlo!

Excellent App for musicians, bands, ensembles, orchestras. What an excellent App...! Developer continues to enhance and add features/functionality based upon user needs and requests. Questions are answered promptly and really helps keep a band/musician in sync with songs/material, set lists, schedules, lyrics, and any other shareable documentation. Additionally, there is a significant amount of technology through MIDI part of this App that can turn this into a backing tracks player. Definitely worth a serious look for any musician or band leader to keep everyone in sync.

Left me hanging too many times. My band has been using this app for at least a year. On more than 10 occasions, after syncing MULTIPLE times, the set lists we made for shows were not syncing correctly and thus, I’m left on stage with the wrong set list. I tried to address this with tech support, but, they were unable to solve my problem. So, I’m done with it, deleted it, never again.

Will never gig or practice without it!. I am in a cover band that plays 3 sets / 40 songs a gig. I used to print oversized index cards with chords and lyrics that were inconvenient and stressful to use onstage, and now all I need is BandHelper on an iPad mounted on a mic stand. I set up the set list in advance of the gig, but it’s nice to know that any song we do is readily available on the fly. So helpful is that you (or your girlfriend) can add songs and create set lists, and make changes or re-order songs on the BandHelper website and all will sync to the iPad. BandHelper has a robust set of features for running a band that includes scheduling, financials and communicating with the band, but I use it solo only for the repertoire functions. There are so many nice touches and extras that you'd never expect such as the ability to change the key of the chords with the push of a button and control MIDI gear from the app. BandHelper is the real deal, and the developer is extremely responsive to questions and issues, and frequently makes updates. Set List Maker is its little brother, with a smaller feature set. It is also excellent but lacks the online and bandmate sharing components. BandHelper is truly a professional app and is so much better than it needs to be. It deserves more than 5 stars.

Outstanding!. Do yourself a favor and get this app! So many useful tools! I absolutely rely on it for every aspect of my gigging and practicing. Been a sub for many years now and have never regretted it. Only way I could benefit from it more is if I would utilize the MIDI functionality and the Finance portion. Two aspects I haven’t tried out yet, but might, some day.

BandHelper rocks!. If your live setup involves more than one device, whether hardware or software, bandhelper will make your life so much easier! You can create a list of devices, then create presets for those devices, then build songs that use those presets, and create setlists from your songs, then call up your setlist on stage, and with one gesture configure everything you need to start playing. Bandhelper will even display your music or lyrics for each song in your setlist. And with the Pro membership you can have all the members in your band have setlist in sync, keep your gig calendar, manage stage layouts, and even track income and expense! And the developer is friendly and supportive!

Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. Has functions I don't even use and does everything I /would/. It does have to sync to an account you set up on their website but it's an extremely painless process and well worth it. If you have to keep up with songs and set lists and lyrics and song notes for any reason this is the app for you.

Just now downloaded. Just downloaded, opened... says I need an account, no links or info on how to create one... so...?

Congrats on your Anniversary Arlo!. Love the app and the committed support of the developer! Such a powerful app, talk about value for a gigging musician! Bandhelper was the next logical step for Setlist Maker! Incorporating, midi, scheduling, finance, makes this app A Home Run! Arlo has created something helpful for busy musicians!

This app is the real deal. Finally found the app I needed for set lists and arrangements.. the developer seems on top of it as well , unlike some apps that are left with bugs unfixed and no updates or product support.. 2 thumbs up from the whole band. Well worth the subscription fee which is very reasonable.

Lots of potential. I believe this app has lots of potential, but to be as user-friendly as it really should be, there are way too many hoops to jump through to do simple tasks. I perform in and manage one of the top 10 corporate bands in America. We do approximately 200 to 220 dates per year. This could be extremely helpful for our live performances but it's still just needs way too much work. I appreciate the effort the developer has put into this.

Too complicated. Why make it so hard to get started? I’m looking for a simpler solution

Great for live MIDI control. We have a cover band that has a keyboard player that uses multiple keyboards, multiple midi controlled sound modules, and a midi switch that can change the midi channel signals and routing on the fly. Every song has a different setup to be able to replicate the sounds that people expect from the original recording. We’ve been using band helper for over two years, and it has made the process SO MUCH better. Not only can we easily generate and distribute set lists on the fly depending on the gig, but it has made it possible to go from one tune to the next almost instantaneously and takes the stress out of getting all the settings right. We generally make edits to individual song settings and set lists with an iPad, but we do the live midi control with an iPhone interfaced to an iConnect MIDI 4 via the lightning connector. (The band helper software makes all the syncing btw individual band member’s phones and iPad easy, so we don’t have to use the iPad for the live performance.) For a gig, the kbd player has his phone open to the set list. He just taps the next song, and he’s ready to go. If we have a special request, no big deal as long as the song has been worked out before. Just go to the song library and tap it. For the rest of the band, we just print the set lists from the software and stick them on the floor. The formatting and big printing are good enough to see even under poor lighting conditions. We are really happy with this software.

Great app for guitarists. I love this app because of three important benefits: 1) Split screen option which allows you to see the set list on one side along with the chord sheet on the other. 2) Custom fields. Because I use up to four different presets on a song, I needed an app that can store the bank and preset number for each preset used for each song. BandHelper allows you to create a seemingly unlimited number of custom fields for each song - no more need to rely on an excel spreadsheet that shows the presets needed for each song. 3) Very flexible display options: pick what fields you want shown on the main display for a song chart as well as on the set list. When you create a custom field, it automatically creates two additional versions of the field corresponding to the next song in the set list and the one after that. So on the display for a particular song, it can show the bank and preset for the next song coming up, the title of the the next song, the key, etc. — very cool! I used it on a gig for the first time last week, with a Donner tablet page turner footpedal, and the combination worked flawlessly.

Wow! ... Wait... What? ... Oh.. This looked promising... Added a few songs... Ok. That works. Let me create a list. Ok... Why is this getting complicated? It looks like a list on my desktop, let's look in the app! Hmmm. No "layouts" have been created... Why do I need a layout to view a set list? Ok I'll try to create a layout... Oh. My. Gee. What? I need to use drag and drop complexity to create an layout? Wait... But this isn't a list! It is a set of pages? Ok... I'll add a document button to view a chart for the tune! Cool! I can click the button to view the chart -- it shows me the lyrics. Swipe to see the PDF chart ... Can't get out of the document view without force quitting the app. Great. I just wanted to share a set list with my band. So they could practice the songs -- auto play through the recordings. A bonus would be some chord charts for the live gig -- and PDF charts too. This application might actually allow you to do some of those things, but not without a unacceptable amount of difficulty.

Bandhelper. Great App, i would recommend it for any band member that does more than their fair share of work. This App keeps everything in one spot for all members to review, comment, etc. Arlo the developer is passionate about his work, support him and help your band!!

Incredible tool!. This is an incredibly useful tool for performing bands and musicians. The developer is incredibly responsive to user feedback and updates the app regularly. The latest update is crammed with fabulous new features. Worth every cent and more. If only more app developers were this good!

Just what we needed. Amazing app, and I'm a programmer. Also has thought if just about everything, and from a Musician's point of view, not a programmer. Because it does so much, watch the tutorials and spend the time to learn the app. It will pay off. The website is also great. A nice adjunct to the app with many useful features like importing iTunes playlists for set lists. And the real-time sync of set lists between players is fantastic. No more "what's next" questions from the peanut gallery.

Must have for gigging musicians. I’ve been using SetListMaker for years and loved it ... but I just switched to BandHelper and I’m kicking myself for not doing it ages ago. I play in a few different bands, and the ability to have various projects is perfect, and beautifully implemented. Plus it brings together data that I had in a bunch of different places - songs and setlists of course, but also event scheduling, contacts, financial breakdown of income and expenses, contracts ... thank you Arlo! This app is a masterpiece.

Why haven’t you switched to Bandhelper?. I recently switched from Setlist Maker to Bandhelper. If you are familiar with SLM, than the transition is very easy. I really like the option of creating new set lists and editing in the Bandhelper website on my computer. Arlo really is a brilliant developer and offers top notch support. The website makes quick work of adding new songs to the repertoire. I prefer working on my Mac and syncing the iPad afterwards. I have been playing in cover bands for over 30 years and this app really has changed how we are able to manage our set lists. I was always the guy in the band that had the computer and printer to print all the set lists. I could never go back to paper now. No more typing set lists for me. Of course I have two guys in the band who still like paper. No problem, I just email them directly out of Bandhelper and they print the set list out themselves. No more wasting all my toner and paper! We use 3 iPads on stage and we use device linking over WiFi. I love being able to look down at my IPad during a gig and knowing right away what song is next, because my iPad is following the position of my singers iPad. You just can’t do that with paper! My singer and I also have an acoustic duo. With Bandhelper, I was able to totally separate our “Duo” lyrics from our “Band” lyrics. I think this is another great feature so we don’t clutter our band’s repertoire.

Another subscription service. Another chance to have money sucked out of your bank account every month for an app that could just as well be implemented in iCloud and be a one-time purchase. Thanks, but no thanks. Subscription apps are like little vampires.

Best app for bands. Period.. This app does it all (and more). It has made prepping music for a 10 piece band a breeze. Arlo has some of the best support. Download it and don’t look back!

What the?. I don’t want to open an account somewhere to use an app, it doesn’t state that anywhere on the Apple store! How annoying!

Fantastic took. I play accordion and sing so no free hands Bandhelper has all my lyrics, that by the scroll along, my chord charts and notes in one easy layout. Plus with my wireless midi setup with the turn of a page it changes midi channels on my boss Rv 300 and my voice live touch While linking to all iPads of my band members. I change anything in my set they have the same info on their screen and all my midi gizmos hopping along Just a great product

Best app available for set list management. I really like the app so far and the fact that the data is stored in the cloud. I just jam with a couple of friends and don't have a band as of yet, but it has been extremely helpful in guiding our jam sessions when we get together. I've used OnSong and Tabs HD in the past to keep track of set lists, but the inability to easily share the songs you are working on with others was frustrating. I also like that you can create and manage songs and set lists from a computer and everything syncs with the app. It is the most intuitive app I have come across to date.

Best Out There. I absolutely love this app. Great functionality and purpose. Easy to create set lists on the web with easier typing and stuff, then sync it to the app. Make one list— every band member gets it. I like the fact you can customize your particular info that pops up for the set list and doesn’t affect the others. I can display my drum charts with my set list in split screen while the other guys can display chord charts and things they need. Works really well on my iPad Pro. Big writing and buttons. I also have it connected via Bluetooth to my iRig page turner to advance to the next song and turn my metronome on/off. I have the Pro version of this app for schedules, stage plots, contacts, and financials. It really comes in handy, especially the “contacts” feature. You can save venue info for later use. You can use the app with MULTIPLE accounts (handy for hired gun musicians), make several different “repertoires,” set lists, etc. I LOVE THIS APP!!!!

Files hard to find. Been using this app for a long time but with this latest update, there is an extra step to locate an uploaded pdf file. Instead of clicking on a song and the file shows up, now you have to navigate through the menu to find the pdf. Complicated when calling songs on the fly. Please fix!

Fantastic!. I used to use SetListMaker. It was an easy switch to BandHelper. This app does pretty much anything you would ever need in a Band situation, or as an individual who is just keeping your songs organized. Using it with the Web version and keeping everything synced is super easy. Love it!

Unable to access program. Cant even get into the app. No password worthless if you cant get into it!

Excellent app, great support. A ton of features which make a working band's life much easier.

Performer's Dream Come True. As a solo performer using tracks, charts, midi, this program does the heavy lifting for me, leaving me free to communicate. The developer is extremely open to feedback for improvements as well as taking care to ensure I know how to take advantage of all this app 'ecosystem' has to offer. Best in class, easily worth the asking price.

Brought it to the next level. We absolutely love this app!!!! The on stage sync and easy set list creation is the best thing we've added in a while. No more paper, ink cost and time!! No more paper set lists on stage that make you look sloppy. I can make a set list for the gig on the fly anywhere on my phone and send out an email attachment to the band in minutes. Our young female vocalist bandleader has totally embraced our new way of gigging. Big major thanks Alro!!!! Also his tech support is top notch and he responds quickly.

Great app! Saves so much time creating set lists. Signed up on the web, quickly learned how to batch import all our band's songs. Added custom fields for each guitarist's presets easily. Added all band mates, showed them how to use it. Now we can all easily tweak the set lists and it syncs to everyone. It used to take quite a bit to build set lists, copy our presets over, guesstimate on song durations, etc, when building sets. Now we just drop in the songs until we get the right length of music for a set, insert a break and move on to the next set, super simple. Then when done, I simply have my own custom layout to show the set list that includes my guitar preset number for each song. No more printing out set lists and manually adding all the info we need. What used to take 20-30 minutes now takes about 5, and no more wasting paper! Thanks for a great app!

Fantastic app and service!. BandHelper is excellent. Just try it!

Great App, great support, love it.... After carrying around binders of music for years in our 5 piece band, I decided last year to try a digital approach. My band mates were afraid at first and two of them continued to use binders. After a few months of seeing how easy and convenient my setup was (and realize how nice it is to have back lit music in a dark bar) they made the switch and we have not looked back. I am continually learning how to do new things with this app that push me further into automation (which, as a control freak guitarist scares me, but also allows me to focus on performing and less on nonsense). I should have made the switch years ago and I very much so appreciate this app. There is a yearly subscription fee to use the app, but once you realize you can bring a guitar and all the music you have ever learned in one guitar bag, you won’t mind. Plus, the developer is making constant improvements so I think of it more as an investment than a fee. Don’t listen to the negative comments. There is a little learning curve, as with anything, but invest the time off stage so that you can focus on the music on stage.

Fantastic app and great user support. I’ve been using this and it’s predecessor Set List Maker for a few years now. This app is awesome and addresses most needs for performing musicians. The support is the best I have gotten from any IOS app. Well worth the money. Not only organizes songs and set lists, but handles your midi program changes for multiple instruments, management of backing tracks, auto scrolling of lyrics, scheduling of practices and gigs. Every band member can access the repository of set lists and songs, and everyone can have their own version of notes and lyrics for a song. Arlo hit one out of the park on this one.

Tremendously Useful. This app has so many features that are beneficial to me as a bandleader, it would be hard to list them all. Check out the website and app. Take a little time to enter in a couple of tunes and then test out the auto-scroll feature on your mobile device. This is more than an app. It's a full blown solution.

Great app for performing musicians. I’ve only owned this app for a few wks, but have already reaped benefits in organizing my set lists and have seen some good updates/improvements relative to feature requests. There are some features I may not use as a solo artist that would be super helpful for bands (e.g., divvying up pay), but overall it’s a comprehensive app for performing musicians…well done.

Love this app!. Incredible app, with nothing like it on the App Store. I’m a working drummer playing for few different bands. I can see my notes with each song and control my midi device from the same spot. Support is awesome with fast reply. Great developer and an awesome app!

Absolutely the Best!. If you are a musician, soloist or in a band, this app is an absolute must. I tossed my paper lead sheets several years ago and haven’t looked back since. Lyrics and chords are displayed and scrolled. I do not need to remember synth presets since the app can send them as needed with each song. If someone wants to sit in with you but they can only sing in a different key, no problem.... change it on the fly. I absolutely love the app. Far better than anything else out there. Nice to have the owner/developer interacting with customers and providing lots of great enhancements.

Set List Maker on steroids!!. I’d been using Arlo’s “Set List Maker” for years. I thought it was the greatest and most useful music tool ever till he put me onto “Bandhelper”. I’m no longer nervous about losing everything! Will always be there online and totally up-to-date. It’s the start of a new era for me and so far, I’m only using a fraction of what the App can do. I’m telling every muso I know. Thanks Arlo! George Harvey.

Great for gigging bands. This app has been a revelation. It is a central source of truth for all our band related activity. I use it to track finances, keep our gig diary, manage set lists, make notes on individual songs and so much more. The synch across multiple platforms means that all members can access the data in a way that is most comfortable to them. I would give this 5 stars but I have only been using it for a while. No complaints so far & I would thoroughly recommend.

My favourite performance app!. This app is so incredibly useful for live musicians. It's so versatile, and the fact that they take feedback from their customers, and implement positive changes to the app within the week, is a testament to how great this app is, and where it will continue to go!

Nothing Compares. This is the best app I have come across for musicians well worth the money good to see that they have paid attention to detail and have left no stone unturned I highly recommend it

Bandhelper Review by Segue. This app has solved so many headaches for me and enables easy compilation of set lists, repertoire, stage setups, schedules, gig dates/details, financials, in fact, most band-related matters are covered. All information is able to be transferred between members and printed/downloadable. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're in or manage a band, you simply must have this app!

Nope, too hard - NEXT!!. For a mobile trying to register us a nightmare on a iPhone or iPad Mini. Gave and went back to my old app.

Glitchy interface , needs simplifying. The app has features that give it the potential to be very good however the sync servers are very slow and the interface is sticky and glitchy especially if you have large lists. Bandhelper crashes often when trying to share lists and often displays sync and error messages. Serious musicians, think twice before purchasing the upgrades. If you only have a small amount of songs and dont plan to create lots of edits and setlists it may be ok for you. The interface is quite back to front and convoluted. Some simple edits take a lot of time so not efficient if you're looking to do multiple edits or sorting in a hurry.

Customer service by Arlo is superb. I can’t speak highly enough of the super customer service provided by Arlo. I’ve just completed the free one month trial, which has given me the opportunity to get set up. Arlo has been responsive to any questions I have asked (from Australia). We are a band with 5 members, and I see nothing but amazing potential for us developing with Bandhelper. Thank you Arlo !

The Best Musician/Band App. I had been using the standalone version of this app “SetList Maker” for many years; and prior to that tested a number of apps, finally settling on what I found to be the best. I migrated to the BandHelper app to take advantage of the wider features and multi-device synchronisation. This app has streamlined the whole repertoire management for me. I am a session musician, playing for a number of artists and bands and I manage all details in this one easy to use application.

Best App for solo muso ever.. I’ve been a full time pro soloist for 20 years and this app has revolutionised the efficiency in which I can perform. From auto scrolling lyrics, to choosing songs on the fly with an index, to instantly selecting one of 500 presets instantly on my chosen ‘Do it all’ VL3X. Of course there have been glitches but Arlo is constantly improving and for me, this works seamlessly and has not crashed in a year of performing approx 4 times per week on iPad and iPhone. Incredibly customisable. Absolutely brilliant. Can not imagine gigging without this now.

Great for even solo artists. I have been using this app for a few months and love it. Even though it varies between platforms I find it still quite intuitive. Has been a game changer for me in terms of organizing set lists and keeping a master list. I look forward to using this in a band setting and would recommend it to anyone. They also gave me free stickers which is pretty awesome.

A huge help in band organization. What a great idea, and well executed. I have been using this app with my five piece band and it is a huge help in organizing rehearsals and gigs. It is a good amount of time invested to get all your data entered and uploaded to the website, but VERY well worth the effort. I have regular PDF lyric files, inverted white on black PDF lyric files, chord charts and recordings all linked together now. The account and device sync options are great on stage, and in the rehearsal hall. If you are a band leader, or the person in your band that is the organizational force SUBSCRIBE to this service! The fee is miniscule compared to the money you will save on printer ink, paper, and most importantly time needed to keep bandmates up to date.

Super helpful app, more functionality than expected. I love this app, it was perfect for organizing my first gig. I appreciate the auto scroll function and inserting lyrics and push notes is super easy. I can’t believe how many features this app has, it goes beyond my needs! Client support is second to none, so quick with replying to issues or questions. It’s WAY better than using paper!

Outstanding Service!. I use BandHelper with two different groups, now, and can’t say enough good things about it. I find it extremely useful for planning rehearsals and gigs. Having all the latest information accessible for everyone involved is also a huge plus with this app. Most importantly, it’s the constant attention and support that Arlo Leach provides the user that makes BandHelper such a valuable tool. I’ve always received competent and thorough answers to all my requests for help. Top marks for BandHelper! Richard (Montreal, Quebec)

The Best App For Working Musicians. This app runs our show!!! Set list, scrolling highlighted lyrics, triggering midi changes, tempo flash if desired and Bluetooth controllable. We can sync all of our iPads so we are totally locked as a unit. And tons more! All this with a TOTALLY ACCESSIBLE DEVELOPER, ARLO!!!!! ARLO has addressed every one of our concerns in a timely manner. Never waited more than 24 hours for a personal response. It’s amazing. Love the app and ARLO rocks!! Thanks ARLO!

Awesome. I use it with one band where all players are on it, and I have a personal account where I store all of the songs and charts for jobbing bands I play in. I write my own charts by hand. Take a pic with my iPad and it goes directly to Banhelper with one button. Once I got the hang of the processes, I find Band Helper a fantastic tool. No. More. Paper!

Must Have for working bands. I started off with Setlist Maker and have been using BandHelper for a few years now. I’ve tried a lot of the other apps and there is nothing better in my experience. It’s great for managing our song lists and sets for rehearsals and gigs. I couldn’t imagine not using it. I’ll also echo some of the other comments regarding app support. Arlo works very hard to keep the app usable and is very responsive to requests for help.

No go. I couldn't even get past the start to try it out.

I Can't Imagine gigging/rehearsing without it.. In my first review of this app a long time ago, I gave it one star and dismissed it. Subsequently, I gave it another chance, and it has been greatly improved. I now use Bandhelper daily. It is my lyric book, my setlist maker, the repository for all the metadata for my repertoire. I would be close to lost without it. And Arlo gives great customer service!

Great support. I’m new to Band Helper and received great service/support for the product as I’m learning the ins and outs. Thank you!

Incredible app!. One of the few apps that I can say delivers as promised! Every upgrade has been spectacular! A musicians best friend highly recommended!

Great for musical tasks. I’m still figuring it out but things are slowing falling into place. Quick response time for questions. Maybe they will add more quick buttons for common features. Set up some sort of a macros for certain tasks.

Instant delete. Why do you need an account to use this app?

Keeps crashing. Was working fine till it told me to upgrade which I did, and it crashes as soon as I open it now. Please help!

A must for band organization. This application is incredible. It allows for keeping lyrics and chords for all songs in one place and all band members to see the same core version. Customs views, notes, etc. can also be used for each band member. You can add in piano sheets if needed or other pdf forms of music and have these all auto scroll by song duration. There is a feature for changing keys on the fly. The features are too great to list. Take the time to try this out - you will love it.

Waste of money. Terrible app that is full of bugs. Even worse customer support. DO NOT BUY!!

True Country + Loves BandHelper. We have been using set list maker for a year or two, also a great product, but now we have switched to BandHelper. Love love love it, the product has nothing bad to be said about it. The developer is dedicated to making this the best tool available and I feel he has succeeded in doing so. The one review I have seen with anything negative to say about it was obviously someone looking for something for nothing. The few dollars charged for this program is more than fair and the technical support and upgrades being done make this the neatest item in my gig bag. Give ARLO the developer a little support to keep the app number one.

Questionable. I don’t mind paying for a good app But I do resent going to the App Store selecting one marked FREE no in app purchases , and then when I go to sign in there is an annual fee and renewals So the app starts with a lie

Solo So Far..... Awesome app - great for planning, organizing, distributing and PLAYING set lists ! We’ll be spreading this app around

Guitarists. Great app, indispensable, we can't function without it, we use it for all things music.

Awesome app. Whether you are a solo artist or in a band this is a must have app! This is by far the easiest way to keep a band organized! Well worth it.

Where have you been all my life?. I’ve never written a review for an app. Never felt compelled to-until now. I’ve looked far and wide for a good “Fake Book” app…never found it. I even dabbled with trying to build my own. Nice to know I can put that project to bed. When I saw this was only rated 4.3 stars, my honest first thought was, “people don’t get it.” Scrolling through the reviews, the one stars are typically “it’s too complicated” or “I hate subscriptions.” So be it. The sheer amount of work that must go into this app is hard to imagine. It is so well thought out and so comprehensive. It won’t be for everyone. If you’re not moderately tech savvy then you might do better with a simpler database style app for simple artist/song/lyric organization. If you want the MOST flexibility and the MOST comprehensive app for gig management, this has got to be it. Watch some YouTube videos, do your homework. Anything great is worth taking the time to learn properly. I’m still learning but it is so incredibly fun and powerful. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never abandon development of this platform. It is one-of-a-kind! Ten stars!

Crashes on 2 android devices. The app has lots of potential, but after convincing my entire Band to go out and get iPads and tablets to go “pro” with Band helper, app crashes on 2 of our Tablets when after successful login. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still does not work. Only seems to work on iPads. Please do not ask me to send information to the helpdesk, obviously lots of people you’re having android issues… Please fix and you will get your five stars

Awesome. This App has helped in so many ways. From just organizing Set lists with the band to having the App switch my guitar Midi pedal Board, The keyboard players keys and the drummers electronic drum set. The amount of time it saves in between songs is priceless. Highly recommend!

Band Helper is awesome. We love it! Now nobody has an excuse as to what songs to play or gigs to show up at! It's nice to be able to store lyrics and mp3 in a central location.

Couldn't get registered. Confusing new user experience. App did not have a reg flow. Had to go band helper site and create login. Still couldn't login. On to the app that can solve this need

Fantastic App for Gigging!. After 23 years of managing our coverband, this app comes along and streamlines everything! We are utilizing almost all of the features, quite sucessfully, that this app has to offer. All I have to do now is put a setlist together via the web interface and each member gets it as soon as they open the app on their ios device. Plus if we decide, on the fly, to rearrange the songs, only one person needs to do this and everyone else will get the changes! You have to set up a wifi network for your band but, this is easily done with a cheap $23 router from Amazon. The developer has excellent tutorials on the website to show you how to set this and everything else up. Our drummer controls our set lists for us using a bluetooth midi foot controller (iRig BlueBoard). As he selects each song several things occur; he gets the tempo in his earbuds, he can play a backing track if needed, each of our ios devices follow his song selection and I and the keyboardist have midi commands sent to our gear to change our patches for us! (using a Yamaha MD-BT01 bluetooth midi transmitter) On the administrative side, when I enter a new gig into the web interface, I have it send out text and/or email notices to each band member at set intervals that you can dictate. They will get these notices until they either accept or deny the gig. No more having to play phone tag trying to get in touch with everyone! Arlo, the developer, is very customer oriented. He personally and promptly answered a question I had. You can't beat that! I highly recommend this app!

Doesn't not work. Cannot even open app past account page. Fix this issure immediately

Hands Down the Best Band Program. Bandhelper is a fantastic program that includes all the necessary functionality for band performance including shords, lyrics, midi and all in between. Argo provides updates frequently and is incredibly responsive to users. It is indispensable. Highly recommended

Doesn't work! And FAQs indicate a subscription is required. I was hopeful this app would provide offline lyrics. I downloaded and the app asks for account info but you can't Create an account in the app. You're stuck on that page. Can't get past it. FAQs had no helpful info and mention this app requires a subscription, a money commitment beyond the purchase is nothing I recall reading about for this app or I wouldn't have downloaded. And! I can't get my app purchase money back. Can't use the app. App extortion! Buyer beware!!

What !. After downloading it goes to enter account info, ask for my user name and password of which I have none for the new account and it won't let me in. A waste of my time!

Great App. I use this with a couple of band I play with. Makes scheduling rehearsals and gigs easier, keeps our arrangements and set lists current, gives us a good place to upload and share recordings, suggestions and notes. It's SetList Maker for the whole band!

Top app for bands. I have been using BH for 2 years now with 2 live projects and have recommended it to several other live acts. It has all of the tools essential to a successful live act...calendar, song and set lists, personal notes and group notes/lyrics, and recently my whole keyboard rig (6 boards and pedals) are run by BandHelper and the air turn pedal. I hit the pedal once, all the boards are programmed and ready to go, lyrics and notes pop up. This is the top program! Arlo is very responsive to questions as well. Simply...Get It!

Can't sign up?. When I tried to sign up, it said password and sync name do not match.

Band Helper. Really like this one. Have to get used to learning it, which didn't take long. It syncs between my computer and the Iphone, Ipad apps which makes it simple to use. Good customer service as well answereing any quesiotns that may arise.

Awesome!. I’ve been an avid user of SetListMaker for a few years and our band just upgraded to BandHelper. This product is fantastic and it’s developer is responsive and provides continual improvements and updates. Just a great product!

Suboptimal app. Can't get beyond the prompt you for account info. Unusable app

BandHelper App Customer Service, Editor Notes:

* Replaced Settings > Audio & MIDI > Audio Options > Play Two Recordings Together with Play Recordings Together, which can select up to 8 recordings to play together. You can change this setting to play different combinations of recordings for different situations, like adding a drum track only when a drummer is not available. If you add the Master Volume item to your layout, you can also adjust a volume slider for each recording. Any of the recordings can be MIDI sound files (previously you could only play one MIDI sound file at a time) and can have MIDI data files attached (previously you could only play one MIDI data file at a time). Audio recordings can be mono or stereo. To start playing multiple recordings, you can use the single Recording button, the recording controls or the Start Recording app control action; the multiple recording buttons will only play individual recordings. When Play Recordings Together is set, Settings > General > Defaults > Recording will be ignored. * Added Settings > Audio & MIDI > Recording Position Labels. These labels will appear in the Play Recordings Together picker for easy reference, and will appear in the recording buttons in your layouts instead of the recording names if you also turn on Show Labels In Recording Buttons. You can use these settings to show simplified names like "Click Track" and "Drum Track" on all your songs instead of song-specific names like "Freebird click -2" and "Proud Mary click track." * Added Settings > Audio & MIDI > Cross Fade Recordings. If you set a number of seconds here, then play a recording while a previous recording is still playing, the two recordings will cross fade over the duration you set. This will work between recordings attached to the same song, or between recordings from different songs if you turn on Settings > Audio & MIDI > Continue Audio When Changing Songs. • Renamed the Master Volume layout item to Volume Controls. • Added a slider for the video volume to the Volume Controls layout item. • Added a setting for Set List Stats to the layout details edit page, to show the set list duration and song count in the top toolbar of the set list view. • Fixed a problem where a break couldn't be selected when the song list contains MIDI buttons, the main layout area does not and the App Controls are set to send MIDI on song selection. • Updated Settings > Appearance > Hide Parentheses in Chord Lines to ignore parentheses in non-chord lines. • Fixed a problem where the new recording wouldn't play if you played a recording from the single recording button or recording controls, then selected a different recording from the multiple recording buttons without pausing first. • Updated the recording waveforms to redraw when changing layouts, and to fill an area wider than 1024 pixels. • Updated the MIDI Learn function to match incoming data to a device regardless of its port name as long as it is the only device using the same channel. • Updated the MIDI Learn function to add new rows as control change messages are received, so you can capture more than one control change at a time for the same device. • Fixed a problem that disabled the Copy button initially on the transaction edit page. • Added Settings > Live Sharing > Share Actions > Follow Account Syncing, to start a sync on the following devices whenever the lead device syncs. If all your devices are connected to the Internet, you can use this to automatically update the following devices when you edit data on the lead device. • Restored the automatic refresh of the set list view after syncing.
