MyStuff2 Pro Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

Awesome!. This is THE best inventory app in the store! It has it all. It’s very easy to use, very easy to export, and extremely useful. It’s too bad all apps don’t function as well as this one.

Slick app when it works. I have no criticism for the functionality of the app - it’s got a lot of power and flexibility. My big gripe is that MyStuff2 Pro is a downgrade from the old version, for a few reasons: 1) It’s really janky and prone to locking up. It shouldn’t take over 5 minutes to enter a single CD. 2). It’s really slow to save new entries. 2) The database you’re accessing is light on data. When I can succeed in getting a CD barcode to scan, it imports the title, sometimes a cover image...and nothing else! I still have to manually enter artist, genre, and format. App is now only marginally better than manually building a spreadsheet. Update: App no longer allows entry of new artist names in the music database. Took off a star from the review. Update: Dropped another star from the review. App no longer allows manual input of anything.

how to add quantity to my item?. Does anyone know to add a quantity of 55 to my 8-32 screw item? It does not appear to have quantity field in this app to be able add the actual bean count quantity to keep track of my inventory of screws. I can enter 55 next to my title name of the item. But this is not a quantity field.

Great product/support. I’m in the process of building a huge database of 10,000 things. I find this product easy to use, customizable and every issue I’ve asked has been responded to and corrected.

Great app and great support. I have used mystuff for several years especially for my books(over a thousand.) I love the organization and the fact that it synchs between my iPhone and iPad. Also there is extremely quick and helpful support.

Garbage. Awful user experience. You would need a degree in engineering to get up and running with this app. Absolutely ZERO thought or design behind the dates user interface, and far too many options. Makes adding a single item an overwhelming and confusing task. Not user-friendly at all.

Multi-purpose database app. I use the app for keeping track of passwords, health records, household appliances, and lawn equipment to name a few. Data is synchronized across all my Apple devices automatically. More useful than using Reminders, and Notes. One location for all your day to day data.

Not easy to begin. I just installed this app to organize my art, so I wanted to be able to take photos. I spent a while and cannot find the “add” or + sign, or any way to take a photo. So I have to delete this app and find another one that is more intuitive.

Ok to a point. I’ve used this app for a few years. This past year I decided to finally keep track of all the 2,000 plus DVD’s. Everything seemed fine until I entered around 1,200. That’s when I started getting all sorts of glitches. The one that got to me the most is when I scroll up from the “S” group it would suddenly jump all the way to the very beginning of all titles. It’s so annoying that I’m now searching for a better app to keep track of my collection.

Disappointing…. This app used to be great, but lately it crashes constantly, not to mention, randomly deleting items from my inventory. It used to update from my iPad to my phone, but now they no longer do that. I have tried restoring from a backup, but that no longer works on my phone. Very disappointing to have invested so much time, only to have it longer work.

What did I just get?. I downloaded this app but nothing works. There is no way to add items or edit anything. It’s just a shell with no functionality. Maybe I’m supposed to pay to make it functional. I don’t know. I can’t figure it out.

Best of Class. I’ve been using MyStuff2 Pro for years to build databases for work, and for home use. Before I retired I built a database that contained training records for 40 plus employees, tracked vehicle maintenance, and contained a static job knowledge section. The ability of MyStuff2 Pro to provide visual notifications of pending deadlines via conditional formatting, and provide reports that are filtered and sorted in a variety of ways makes this app a powerful, and valuable tool. At home I have a 2,200+ item iPad database with sections for my book, movie, and music collections, as well as a section that keeps track of my bills and investments with summary reports that keep me on top of things. I also built a database on my iPhone containing a versatile to-do list built to work just the way I need it to work. In my experience, MyStuff2 Pro is the only genuine database app for mobile devices of any type.

Outstanding, Versitile Application. I have been using the Pro version of this app for several years to keep track of all sorts of things, including home inventory, collections, even my stock of shop parts such as nuts & bolts. The features and interface are very well thought out, and it is customizable enough to do nearly anything you ask of it. The syncing between devices is seamless and near instantaneous. This is one of the best applications I have used on an iOS device or otherwise, and is well worth the small price.

Worth every penny!. This app is worth every penny and then some. If you are a collector of any kind this app will do nothing but make your life better! I am so grateful for what it does. I can’t thank Rick enough. And his support is just as good as the app. Doesn’t get much better than that.

OMG so BAAAAD!. Downloaded this app for a trial run but the button to scan a new item is totally hidden! That is the one major function of this type of app - to scan barcodes to quickly add your item to a database - and I couldn’t find the CTA to initiate the process! Why would you bury the #1 action button and force the user to dig and dig! I could not complete the #1 test of “will this app find items from my collection and quickly add accurate data to a Database?” so it failed the test right off the bat.

Just a Great App. I’ve been using this app since 2013 and it’s terrific. I can easily access warranty and serial numbers for appliances, musical instruments, and other items.

Wasted money and, most of all, wasted time. Disrespectful developer. I bought this a year ago, roughly, after I tested the free version and asked the developer several questions about it. He answered the questions very promptly while I was still shopping. Then I bought it and I started using it. I spent days creating the containers, taking pictures of the items and containers, etc. Than I noticed that the database was not really syncing between the iPhone and iPad. I messaged the developer from within the app. But I continued to spend days working with the app, thinking that, if I use only my iPhone to log the items in, I should still be ok until I sort the sync issue out with the developer. Now, that I bought it, it took threats that I am going to post a negative review to get the guy to answer, at about the rate of one answer per five messages. I have about 900 items in the database and a lot of containers. Each should have between one and five pictures. Now the pictures have disappeared in about 90% of the items. So I can't find what I'm looking in the app anymore. BUY THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE WEEKS AND MONTHS WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WORK WITH AN APP THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE ILLUSION OF ORGANIZATION WHILE, IN EFFECT, BEING WORSE THAN throwing all of your stuff in a big hole in the ground.

Good. Good app... I just find it a difficult to back up...however it could just be my technical abilities

Excellent App. I use this app to make an inventory of all our home contents which, in turn, lets me buy parts for appliances, etc easily since I always have model numbers handy. It also helps with product recalls. I always feel organized. Scanning makes it easy.

Used for years...still the best database out there. I’ve used MyStuff2 for years. It’s the only iPad database that allows any attachment you desire to import. If it were not for this major feature it just wouldn’t be a database. Update: 2021 Jan. I regret giving this app high marks in the past. Support was never answered. Since the newest updates I lost my purchased versions and restoring does’t work. No response from author so here is my post. Don’t buy unless you are willing to keep purchasing. There are alternatives

Product images gone missing!!!. We been using MyStuff pro for a long time. Recently we have encountered that every time we do any updates to the category template, say adding or changing attributes to a category. Some product images get deleted after saving the new attributes. In addition we notice some products got completely deleted as well. Moreover the location of some products got changed to “no location”. We have more than thousand products and it is a time consuming having to go back and update the images all over again, that say is our least problem. When a location gets change or a product gets deleted then it is a real trouble to figure it out where was that product located or it is missing from our inventory list. We have emailed the developer, but got no response. We hope they see this review and get in touch for more details to get this bug fixed. We love using the app, it has help us a lot and we want to continue using. We do not know if it is us only that we are having this trouble, please get it fix. Thank you, we truly appreciate this application very much.

My friends are jealous. I’ve catalogued over a thousand books and this app made it easy. All my friends are jealous that I have such a good record of the books I own.

Paid for itself (again). I use this app to photograph and log my house and garage stuff. Then throw it in a box and put it on a shelf. Today I needed a part for a door lock. Quick search and there it was. I usually forget I have something, let alone where it is. What a time saver. Thank you!

Great app!. I’m moving houses soon and was looking for an app that allowed me to keep track of my belongings easily. I compared several apps including Nest Egg & Encircle and Inventory and came to the conclusion that MyStuff2 Pro was the best because it had a good barcode scanner, allowed to synchronize data to the cloud and was fairly customizable, all of that for just a small one-time fee and no subscription. The support is awesome and Rick was very helpful and responsive when I needed some help.

Powerful Features. I’m rarely impressed by an app but this one checks all the boxes for me. There is a little learning curve but that’s the trade-off to get enhanced features. Once you get the hang of it, it’s speedy. I use this for 1. Cataloguing household items for insurance purposes, 2. Locating stored items, 3. Remembering favorite songs, movies, etc., 4. Inventorying pantry items so I don’t end up with five bottles of salad dressing. Double-tap the title of any page to get the help page on it. Read-only database issue occurred because it hadn’t synced yet with Apple iCloud.

Coin Shop. I use it for my inventory at my shop and works great. I like the way it integrates with IPad and IPhone. Would recommend.

Needs a UX designer. The first thing I wanted to do was to add stuff to MyStuff. I could not figure out how. I imagined a big “plus” button or something. Instead there were all kinds of mysterious other buttons, like a Σ. The app prompted me to create a database to store mystuff, but I don’t know how to put my stuff in there.

Wow….just wow!. Unbelievable, 10 stars for sure. The work you put into this is something else. It is so adaptable to ones personal needs. It really allows you to customize your own database. Rarely does an app do that for you. I advise anyone who is serious about logging their belongings, buy this app.

Great App, poor support. This app has great features. It mostly works very well, but I have gotten no response from the app developer on questions where I am having difficulty.

Product Search Is Back, Thank You. I'm so, so, so grateful that you brought product search back to this amazing application. This really is the very best cataloguing app in my opinion, there's pretty much no limits on what you can use it for with its vast customization options. I always could tell how much love and dedication this developer put into this program and you just won't find a more powerful or valuable app for keeping a database of anything on the App Store I don't believe. But, when the product search had to go away for a while, well I was so upset and really didn't use the app as much because barcode searching has never worked all that well for me. But, now that it's back, well, I just can't thank you enough, I'm so very grateful for you doing that. It really brings MyStuff2 Pro back to perfection in my opinion. If you need an app to catalog any type of collection or create any type of database, this is the end all be all of that type on iOS I think. I am so glad that I can recommend this amazing program again. Thanks for the continued support of this app, not being greedy and ruining the app with a sleazy subscription, and most especially for bringing product search back. God bless and thank you again 👏🏻👍🏻😁.

Awesome Inventory Tracker. I’ve been using this app for over a year now and am really loving it. The versatility it provides to record the metadata YOU want to track is unmatched in a simple app. To those who say that it’s too complicated, well, yes it’s not mindless. It has to be a little involved to provide the flexibility to record and see what matters to you and not what the developer thought you’d want to see. Highly recommend.

Love it. Best app I’ve ever purchased. I use it for a ton of stuff for my business. I love that I can customize things. It’s easy to search for things. Easy to add things. Keeps things organized. I know what I’ve got and where it is at. This is what I needed!

Databust. So the default database is “read only” could not add any categories or entries inside categories …fine. I was able to create a new database and THAT one is read only. Why would anyone set a database app to have even a new db default to read only and impossible to use? Attempting to use this is like trying to drive a car rolling forward but with the keys out of the ignition, engine off, and steering wheel locked.

Awesome. This app offers a wide range of functionalities and allows for extensive customization. Having personally used it for an extended period, I can confidently attest to its awesomeness. Some negative reviews claiming it doesn't work well may stem from a lack of familiarity with its usage. It does work, but it's important to have a good grasp of both its features and database design. As a long-time user and avid supporter of this application, I highly recommend it.

MyStuff2 Pro. I an OCD, love having things organised and easy to find. I have tried many a different books, paper, programs, & apps to keep things this way. Although MyStuff2 has a bit of a learning curve, the price of the time spent learning it is rewarded with a very powerful and user defined database. I highly recommend this app to anyone who needs to organise any collections or just list all your household in case of fire or theft.

Most non user friendly app EVER. Ive repeatedly tried to use his app. 1. The only categories that auto fill an item Name or Title, are the categories the app came with. 2. Everytime you open the app, check for updates EVERY TIME. If you try to scan an item in, the barcode search spin won’t stop and the cancel button wont work. 3. I dont want the Value taking up space when A category doesnt need it. There are more, but basically, what should be simple helpful app needs a text book of instructions. I wish I could scan an item, and whatever info is gathered, appears. At a minimum the item name should appear. Fire your coder and take a fresh look at the flow as if you've never used it. Or watch someone unfamiliar with this app or similar ones try and use it, then simplify and/or make a learning tool that shows how to build a category (I saw one video but it only manipulated what was there already) that allows users to scan a barcode and have the item name auto fill at the veryleast. What good is scanning in a barcode if only the barcode number fills in?! I do a lot of diy, and I live in “hurricane land” so I NEED this app to work!!! Take a Fresh Look please.

Exporting is a Nightmare. It took me seven months of periodically attempting to export my data to finally succeed. I would try periodically, got exasperated after an hour of long waits followed by error messages, and gave up for a while before trying again. I reached out to the developer when I first ran into issues, and he responded with things to try, but then tried to pin blame on Apple if none of his ideas worked (they didn’t). Today the stars aligned and I got a zip file to transfer off of my phone. It took about 40 minutes of attempts. Why did I keep trying? Because I foolishly spent three weeks doing a thorough home inventory and despaired at the idea of all that effort being wasted. Still, I should have given up long ago and will likely look for a new solution for the future. If I didn’t mind having my inventory exclusively on my phone (not particularly useful if I actually need to make a claim—or my phone is part of a loss) then I think this was a good app (4 stars of the export function worked reasonably well).

Fix Camera. I would like to use the barcode scanner more but it doesn’t focus on smaller barcodes. I thought it was my camera but other apps focus properly.

Not user friendly. There is no default home screen, I just made a new category and it somehow put all my old categories in it, this is the most UNfriendly app I have ever used. I give up. I just wanted something to log our home belongings in case of fire but this is not the one.

This app is a god send…. I use it everyday and would be at a loss without it. I am now finally paperless and organized. Everything is at the tip of my fingers wherever I go…instantly.

Stick with it. One of the simplest yet powerful databases around. It may be weird in the beginning but it’s worth the time to figure out. Once you’ve got it you’ve got it and you’ll be using the heck out of it everyday. I promise. I too downloaded it and then removed it. Then out of frustration with not being able to find a quick and simple powerful database I installed it again. I’ve created and recreated all the databases I created and used in tapforms, Ninox, daylight, MobiDB and others I cannot recall. But I like this the best. It’s all I need. You can actually write decent little databases in a very short amount of time. Go for it, and if you do....stick with it. You will thank me later. And don’t pay attention to the one and two and three star reviews. They gave up to early or just didn’t want to put in the time. John

Love love this App. I am a crafter and I have a lot of books and other tools. I use this app to track all my books rulers stencils dies and equipment to make sure I don’t duplicate a purchase

Hate this app. I’ve had this for a decade perhaps. Stored and organized an entire household inventory. Be sure not to add passwords or passcodes as the developer cannot help you should you forget them. No amount of importing, copying or replacing will allow acces to your work. At one point I had 2 databases called default and was able to press cancel and guess my passcode. Unfortunately when I deleted the empty db called default, I could no longer use my good database without the password. All is lost

Developer stopped responding. I’m not sure about anyone else but developer stopped responding to emails months ago. App seems to crash on multiple devices now and crash reports sent receive no response either. Not sure this product is still supported. A lot of time and money spent in this product to only obtain dead space from developer.

App keeps crashing. App has worked fine for years. Now every time I try to use the app it crashes. Please resolve this. Update 2/5/22. No response from developer. App crashes seconds after opening on both iPhone and iPad. App is useless now. Sure would like some guidance from developer.

Issues with auto fill. I love this app but hate the issues with the title and info not auto filling when I find the book in the database

Great for managing home inventory. This app is seriously great. It lets you manages home assets of any type you can think of, and it’s infinitely customizable. Kudos to the developer here. This is exactly what I was looking for, and better than what other companies offer.

The best organizing app ever!!!. Have it since probably second month of this app popped up on AppStore. Deamnnnn Rick you’re definitely one the best out out of the box thinking developers EVER!!! Everything looks complicated from start but once you getting used to it... BIG WOW HOW SMART EVERYTHING IS!!! Please don’t stop improving and one day on search for home inventory your app will be the first period!!! Thanks a lot for keeping going!!! God bless your bright ideas and days!!!

Scanner lookup issue. When I look up a product using the scanner only the pictures are accounted for no details/names/description of the product! Please fix this issue!

Unequalled app with great, long-term support. This is a surprisingly useful and flexible database application that I've been happily using for years. It's been receiving updates the entire time with substantial enhancements along the way. Concerned that it hadn't been updated in the past 5 months, I contacted the developer in April 2020 and received an immediate response that although he's not working on new features, he will make sure it is working and address any issues that arise. Considering that "abandonware" is not unusual here on the App Store, that's a remarkable response that I don't take for granted yet appreciate immensely. Taking full advantage of MyStuff's functional richness may necessitate some tinkering and learning, but the possibilities are almost deceptively endless. I maintain databases inventorying various collections, a bibliographic database, amateur radio resources, and photographic equipment. These have pictures and links to information on the web related to each item as well as cross-links between database items (e.g. items to their documentation). I can no longer get backups to work directly to Dropbox (I recall there was an issue with the Dropbox API a while back), but it's not much trouble going to iCloud and then moving it to Dropbox on my Mac.

DONT UPDATE. Current update wont allow access on iPhone 6s or iPad. Was fine before the update. Given the price testing before update release should have happened. Got an app with heaps of info in it that I can no longer access. Rip off!

Awesome. Love the ability to customise everything. Love the AUTOMATIC cloud syncing. After spending a little time with this app, it has far exceeded my expectations. Awesome.

Awesome. I love this app, very useful for cataloging my plant collection. I thought it was unlimited and I could just click 'restore' when I got the limit reached message. It says it cannot find. A purchase, that's because I didn't purchase it, I downloaded the free version. What am I missing?

Bar None. Scanned 3 major appliances including Fisher & Paykel fridge and Asko dishwasher nothing came up. Not much point if it doesn’t scan

MyStuff2. Have been using this app for about 18 mths tracking my Swarovski collection. Customised it to suit my requirements. Very happy with how it works.

10 stars! Absolutely awesome!. This is an awesome masterpiece! Rarely I have seen such sophisticated and well designed software in the store. This is a highly customisable database that can be used for a ton of use cases. Imagination is your limitation. Whatever I want it to do, there is a way to do it thanks to its feature rich and customisable design. I still keep discovering new capabilities. Richard (the developer) is a genius indeed and obviously he has devoted a LOT of time to develop this application. Despite of all these features it runs absolutely stable; I have never had any issues yet. If you don’t like the brown skin, you can even customise that or just use system default. The ONLY minor complaint I have: GUI not adapted to iPhone X yet. Richard, it would be awesome if you could make some time to update it at some stage.

Best app I've seen in years. The customisation of the database is pretty amazing and very, very useful. Plenty of export and reporting options make this tool suitable for so many situations. If only all software could be this good.

Not helpful. I got this to keep track of what is in my cupboards. Completely useless! Can’t find any of the barcodes & you can’t add multiples of the same item (although you can add one item multiple times). Sorry I purchased it. Shall just create a spreadsheet.

Great App, does exactly what it says. This is a great app and does exactly what I wanted to manage our collections. Takes a little time to get used to navigating around, but once you have mastered that it’s a breeze. Love that you can also create your own fields and then export the whole database to excel.

Pretty much the best database app for iPhone. Pretty much the best database app for iPhone.

Deep, very deep. Big High Five for iPad Pro support! I've used this constantly for years now and it is used for every area of my digital life. I'm pretty astounded at the depth of customisation. It seems that whatever I want this database to do, it does it. The developer is a genius IMHO. I used Bento before this, and although Bento seems to offer more, in practise I found it pretty looking but functionally limiting. On the other hand although MyStuff is not visually flashy, it instead offers a vast amount of under the hood customisation, and I seem to be able to do anything with it. I particularly like customising the list display with conditions to set colours (e.g. turn txt red when calculated due date is less than 10 days away) and the extensive reporting and importing options. Elegant, FAST, simple, deep, useable. A fab app. Very highly recommended as your No 1 database!

Unbreakable Labour of love. Absolutely love it. Tons of passion built into one app. Extremely capable and reliable app, which is basic as to pick up and learn. Strong recommend jumping into pro without regrets...

Latest update has bricked the app. After updating to the latest version I am unable to open the app. Can't even open it long enough to send crash data to the developer.

Absolutely useless. What a shocking app , thoughtless design , to inflexible to be of any use. Kept crashing when loading pictures meaning you lost all that entry . No facility to add comments on items. Stupid!!!! You give a category a title then it keeps coming up as No value. Go to instructions , these are vague so they would require pictures which as you can guess there is none. Just not user friendly. Why dont you just confess up front to how much it is going to cost, what do you have to hide???? You get 15 items before they break the news of the real cost. Don’t bother with this useless app. They tried to be clever but all that has happened is it not useable. Just use a spreadsheet.

Fantastic. I needed a utility to track and manage inventory on my iPhone and search through a lot of apps until I found this one. I am a retired software developer and I am completely impressed with the functionality, ease of use and interface. Well done and thanks!!

Used to be better. Data entry is more complicated with the app no longer supporting Amazon integration for product lookup via barcode and filling in of product information. Please bring back this feature!

super, fonctionnel et un support très bon.... complètement inséré tout mon inventaires personnels... facile et complet.

Very good. I tried and bought them all, my stuff is the most complete of them. But I'm a boardgame addict and when I scan one, it tries to put it into the Jewelry category. Creating a category that works with that kind of items is not easy... There should be more categories to choose from and toys and Board games should be one. If the developers read this, please send me an email when it is fixed!

Garbage. This app sucks. I spent 10 hours cataloging my firearms collection with serial numbers, photographs and details. A week later all my hard work is gone. Skip this app.

Fantastic organization tool. This is a remarkable app for cataloging and organizing pretty much everything. But the one thing I must say is that customer support is the best I’ve ever experienced across all platforms and products. Very fast response and helpful beyond belief.

Great support. The support is fast and helpful!

Great for tracking my stuff; bad UPC database. I have enjoyed this app for my thousands of movies for nearly a decade. Yes, it keeps track of lots (I also am adding books, games, and electronics). The movie details help me to scan through formats or genres quickly when showing my friends. It can track if something is lent out or sold and has all the customization I want. My only complaint is that in the early years, I was scanning the UPC and the external database would give me all details (title, genre, format, running time, etc.) and now, I’m lucky if a UPC scan will give me more than the title and even then, it sometimes gets that wrong. I suspect the database is American only (and I’m a Canadian user) but many of our UPCs are the same or, when different, can be found in other multinational databases. Having to manually enter all details when I didn’t in the original is frustrating but at least it work well in the personal database.

Great app!. This is a great database. Easy to use as-is, and easy and intuitive to customize or create your own database. Customer support is awesome too!

Love MyStuff2. I love how flexible this app is for storing and sorting data. It’s like a real database. I’ve used this for several years now and I’m continually grateful for it.

Fantastic App. I gave been using this App for years now. This App is fantastic and very useful. It looks fantastic with the system color setting (which looks better than the orange color scheme). Highly rdcommend!

You won't be disappointed. This app is very well thought out and is probably the best app for inventory out there. It's very customizable and can work according to the way you think. I definitely recommend this.

We’ll designed. Flexible item descriptions Nested locations means you can move a box or trunk from one room to another or building or city. Very useful when tracking inventory during a move and finding things when you get there

Was great at first but.... No longer have the ability to enter data into program by scanning barcode or even entering the barcode manually. Now you have to download a photo of your cover and enter all information manually. :(

Inventory Database Master. Love the app and the creator, I would love to beta test again! Love the app, and still use it. Can I send you more money? I would love to help add SQL database support.

Like it!. Great database app.

Great App. I have had this app for a few years now. It is a great database that you customize to your own needs. I did buy the extras and it was worth it.

Fantastic app. Very flexible and I used to track very different things. Highly recommended and worth every penny! And Rick provides quick and excellent support on the rare occasions I needed it!

the best. want a real inventory app with a lot off powerful features this is it

Super-handy app. It's easy to use, extremely customizable. Developer is very responsive, replying to every bug report. Can use it for any kind of list, would even be a good task manager if it could do badges. The only thing missing is automatic backup/sync across devices. If it could do that via DropBox or iCloud, I'd give it 5 stars.

How to add “item data” and “item photos”?. Please let me know how can I add “item data” and “item photos”? I created a new database for my clothes and also added different groups(based on category). But how can I add pictures of the cloths, how many do I have, things like that?? Otherwise this database would be no use for me! 😟

Great App. Love the app Helps to stop re-buying items that I already have Would be better if the search feature was back

There’s a limit to how many things!. They make you pay for an upgrade once you reach a limit. Be nice to know before I spend so much time on here learning it and put my stuff in that there would be a limit to the free stuff. Now I have to pay almost $7.00

Excellent!. This app is "growing" on me. The more I use it, and learn how to use more advanced features, the more I like it. One can start with more basic features, and still get use from this. There is a learning curve for fancier functions. Yesterday I created a database for our big and small freezers. I created food "groups" and color coded them. I have an "attribute" for date entered freezer, and quantity. I sent completed list to email, opened the .csv file and saved as Excel spreadsheet. Then I worked it a bit to arrange. Next step - print. I will keep copy next to freezers. Just now my husband removed freezer items, so I popped open this app and adjusted the inventory of each item. Can't tell you how great it feels to manage the freezer better!

Locations removed. The last update removed all the locations from my inventory items.

Best App; CPS Technology Coordinator. I rarely do these reviews, however, this app has blown my mind and is well worth the money. I use this app as a master inventory sheet for all my technology at my school. I can scan serial number bars, Asset Tags, have different list for different things, have locations and also transfer it into an excel sheet. This is singable handedly convinced me and my previous TechCo that an iPad is a viable platform to do inventory from. This app saved me a lot of time and headache. However, I do wish that their is a feature to copy over the complete attributes of one list to another. Overall, an impressive, great app for both, home owners who just want a small list of their valuables to hardcore inventory wizards and even companies interested in inventory software.

Fantastic. I don't normally leave reviews, but I am so impressed and happy I found this app. I wanted a way to be able to keep track of my collections of items so that I can easily reference it on the go to see what I have. This app meets every possible expectation. It is exactly what I wanted and so complex in its features. Conditional formatting, pictures, summaries, organization, and anything else I could want. It is not limiting at all. It's a little complicated for the average person, but if you're a tools oriented kind of person, it's so perfect. Thank you so much for making this app.

Easily the best database available. I want to say that I have tried several of the more popular and highly rated databases out there..... and some might have the ability to be "better looking" .... but when it comes right down to being able to track and access your data this IS the best I have found so far. It may take a bit to get the hang of it, but it has a bunch of features that make it easy to track and access what is important. FYI... I am in no way related to the developer... in fact, as a developer myself (bgdigital), I am usually very critical of other apps....

Useless app. It doesn’t do anything. I can’t add an item. It’s worthless.

Finally Found What I Needed!. This was by far the best investment I've made. I needed this app to keep track of all my movies and games. More than once I've bought a movie twice because I forgot I already owned it, no joke. So the next time I think I'm getting a good deal on that next blu ray, I'll check this app to make sure I don't already have it. Sorry to all those friends and family members that get movies randomly as a gift, it won't happen anymore.

Outstanding Collection/Inventory App. This app is excellent for keeping track of inventory or any collection you might have. It has so much flexibility built into to the tool to allow you to create, name, and track whatever information you want to manage and also a variety of ways to generate reports of the information. One of my particular needs was a tool to manage information on a herd of cattle. I looked for some time at the various specific apps designed for that application but none of them did exactly what I was wanting. MyStuff2 allowed me to create my own database with exactly what I wanted and a great way to generate and send out reports. Well worth the price!!

Once loved- not now. I loved this app! Unfortunately I am looking for a replacement. It started acting strange a month ago and now completely freezes when I try to add an item or even look at my inventory.

Amazing database app!!. Amazing Customizable database app and amazing Customer service. Worth every penny!

Superior App—Seller DOES respond!. I downloaded many inventory apps & I must’ve tried every option on all of them – most did not have everything I would have liked. This app offers the capabilities of making it everything you want for each category – no restrictions. This is the most well thought-out inventory program of any format that I have tried in the past – my compliments to the creator! When I first downloaded the app, I had some issues and emailed support, and within hours I had a response each time. If you are unsure of the capabilities, download the free trial which has all the Pro features and try for yourself. Take the time to set it up as you need – really it’s not that hard. **Warning: Once you get started, you can’t stop – it’s kind of addictive... Highly recommend for detailed users!

Was great. No answer from developer !!! After last update all images now display syncing instead of thumbnails please fix

Love this!!!. I love this. It's extremely flexible. It does everything I need to do. Very fast response to my email, within 10 minutes. I was amazed by that. I tried another app at the same time that cost a lot more money and they did not respond to my email at all (won't be using that one). Bottom line: flexible, easy to use, reasonably priced, excellent customer service. What more could you ask for.

Absolutely great. C'mon folks. OK, so there is a learning curve but I am 76 and I figured it out. Overall, this is a full featured and powerful app and does everything the developer claims. I plan to use it to designate beneficiaries in my will for two of my collections. Paid more for this than any other app ever but it's worth every penny. Only owned it for two days. Every function tried including barcode scan has worked and no crashes.

WOW!. This app has to be the best value for money on the App Store. It's the most flexible, and accomplished implementation of an I-Pad database bar none! I'm finding so many ways to use the app it's WAY beyond a personal inventory database. It's first and foremost a database application that can be tweaked to apply to anywhere a structured database is useful. Once you understand the settings (and there are many) this app really opens up all kinds of possibilities. It seems that whatever type of data I want to track there is a way to do it. Reporting and syncing is easy as well, with multiple formats and methods available.

Just what I was looking for!. This app was just what I was looking for. It is a beautifully designed and simple to use app, yet it is a extremely powerful and customizable. I already had a home inventory in a database app and was able to export it into a cvs file. From there it was a snap to get the data into MyStuff2. This was very important to me. I also like the fact that it has Dropbox support for backing up my data, again very important to me. I also like the fact that there is a full range of options to get my data out of this app if I ever needed to. I really can not think of any ways that this app could be made any better. It is a perfect home inventory app. Now I just need a Mac version.

Inability to search or use the barcode has ruined this app. I have been using this app for several years and loved it so much I talked my siblings into purchasing it (unfortunately at this time). The recent loss of the ability to search and the inadequate fix on the barcode portion has made this app pointless. The fix on the barcode search rarely works and since we have no general search option, you are stuck manually entering every bit of information. If the barcode search does work, the only thing it adds is the movie title (it no longer includes the genre or price). While I will be the first to admit I do not know the first thing about creating or maintaining apps, you would hope the developer would ensure a product they were paid for functions properly. I am hoping they fix this product soon as I do not want to have to purchase, what used to be, a lesser inventory app.

Great inventory app but…. MyStuff2 outclasses the 5 other inventory apps that I tried. It's problem is that with all of its power comes some complexity. There is a learning curve to get it organized just the way you wanted to, but the sweet thing is that it is very customizable. One has to create categories if they are not already present (it comes with numerous preformatted categories for your use) and this takes a little thought up front. But once you create a category you can use it across all of your databases. For instance let's say you create a "Clothes" category. Then you would add attributes like the name, size, color, etc. and you could create groups like shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, etc. Taking "shoes" you could have subgroups for "shoes" like heels, flats, sandals, etc. and those subgroups could have subgroups etc. But you don't have to be this granular. You could just dump everything into "Clothes" and call it good. Likewise you can create locations with many sub levels. You can have something as simple as the "Bedroom" or something like "Box" – "Second Shelf" – "Closet" – "Bedroom" it's all up to you. Bottom line is that if you put in a little time learning how to use it you will have the best inventory program around.

MyStuff2 Pro. Rick continues to Rock MyStuff2 Pro with continued support and updates. Best app of its kind to date! Long time user. Thank Mr. Maddy

need help. I feel like such an idiot but I need help. I bought this app to do a pantry inventory in hopes I could expand it to include other home inventories over time. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get it to do what I need. What I want is a simple list of all the items I have and their quantities. It would be great if I could break it up into categories, like canned beans, canned fruit, etc. and get a notification when something gets down to a quantity of 1 or 2 so I know to add it to my grocery list. But I need to be able to back out and view it as 1 complete list at times also, if possible. If someone is familiar with this app and is able to send me a flowchart of how to set this up, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks! This is a beautiful app and appears to be able to handle very complex lists. The problem is with me, not the app.

nice app, but lots of crashes..... This dev has been around for a while. I was very surprised that for 8.99 I got more crashes than I would have expected, just entering data. I was using this to inventory computers to make an estimate for repairs. The app crashes entering notes - also multi line notes don't fit in the default space, which doesn't scroll as you advance to a new line, which looks really bad (why not just bring up a notepad when the field is touched and hides after you're done entering data? once the data is entered it could show in the note field truncated after a certain amount of characters, or lines). It looks ok as you see the note space has updated to fit the text after you leave the form and then go back to view - shouldn't have to jump through that hoop however. Even picking an OS, for the computer, from a pick-list I created within the app caused a crash. 3 Crashes in less than 10 minutes caused me to actually give up on this app and switch to just entering data into notes rather than continue wasting time with it. I have faith that the bugs will be fixed. Its a nice app with great potential, but in its current form it is not ready for prime time. Its certainly not ready to help me out on the job. I'm giving you three stars. It deserves at least 4 stars for all the features you've added. Too bad I couldn't make use of them. Now its just needs a few functionality tweaks, and the stability you would expect after paying 8.99.

Amazing App. This is exactly what I was looking for and more! I have made a list of all the concerts I've been to (over 40). I was able customize it so I could include dates, venues, city's, and all other important information about the show. I haven't tried to scan any barcodes yet or add photos. So far what I have tried it seems to work great. It is definitely worth it, although I was skeptical, cause it's the most I've ever paid for an app. Download it now, you won't regret it. I think it would be helpful to have an understanding of databases for creating your own categories. If this app could be turned into a website app/program to register and login to list items in a database that would be awesome! Because, if there's a fire/flood/tornado and your iPad is gone, you have no record of things.

Confusing. Most confusing app ever

This is a killer app!. I've dabbled with lots of database type apps over the years but this one is really impressive. I like the ability to tune it to my needs. Setting up a new category was a bit tedious but once I got that done adding items was fast especially with the built-in online search and barcode reader. I especially like the ability to export to Excel which keeps me from being locked into this app for the long term. I only wish I found this long ago before I wasted money on a few other apps that are not as comprehensive.

Limited but Lots of Potential. I’ve had MyStuff2 Pro (and many previous versions) for at least 5 years and even purchased the branding removal in-app purchase. The app has great potential and lots of features. Unfortunately, the elimination of textual searches and robust automatic data input based on search results in late January 2018 has crippled the usefulness of this app. To the developer’s credit, it’s not his fault. When I contacted him about it last month, he promptly replied that the data source no longer exists and that he’s still looking for a suitable replacement. Nonetheless, this crippling limitation is holding up my home inventorying project, so I’m forced to look for alternatives. PROS: Extremely configurable. Reasonably priced. iCloud integration and multi-device automatic synchronization via iCloud (or other cloud services). CONS: Limited online search and auto fill capabilities (as of this writing). Only basic pre-defined lists and categories. You’ll spend a lot of time creating your own categories and lists to be used in item entries.

Inconsistent. It works one week then doesn’t work the next. I spent a lot of time inventorying my home and now it doesn’t work again, it’s really frustrating.

I love this app!. I've been using this app for several months now, and I am very happy with it. I only have one device, so sharing my lists isn't a thing I need to worry about. I have logged and organized all my books, movies and games. It's really great to figure out where something is, or if someone borrowed something, of a disc is lost or broken, or if we don't own something. There is a learning curve involved, but I feel it is well worth it for all the options and customization. Keep up the good work. :)

One major flaw. The list has a small thumbnail of your item, when you tap on the name, you get the full details on the right side, with a tiny picture nearly as small as the list's thumbnail. It’s pointless at this size. The photo should fill the width of the entire right side to be useful. At least there should be an option for "first pic large". The rest of the pics could scroll left, or be represented by smaller thumbnails. I understand if you tap on the pic it goes full screen, and that’s great, but it should still be large on top of the detail list without having to tap anything. Aside from that major problem, it seems like a very useful app in most other aspects. But for me, tiny pics are a deal breaker.

Kinda ok. Couple of things don’t work. Add attachment - you would think this would allow a file like a pdf of a receipt to be added. But it isn’t. It exports your database so it can be an attachment. This is useless as it also has an export option which is meant for this purpose. Add photo. Well kinda works. It seems to want to get photos from the videos folder, making it impossible to add photos. There doesn’t seem to be a way to export to a printed file with value totals or options to add or remove page columns. The only way I have found to print is to export to CSv and then open it in excel. It’s not intuitive at all, menus to get back and forth are really weird, terminology is strange ( what does iCloud database vs iCloud server account even mean ) how do i tell if my database is backing up. Where is it backing up Every iOS update it loses its “pro” registration. It’s about the only home inventory, and it would be good with some face lifting and cleanup.

Don’t buy this app. Very unsatisfied, I feel cheated. At the beginning the app included different features, such as scanning barcodes and access to an online database that provided substantive information on the book (number of pages, author’s name, editor, etc.). At some point, the developer messed up and now you no longer have access to the scanning feature (i.e. you have to include the barcode manually) and the information that is pulled out from the database is just the name of the book and sometimes a picture. If you want all other information recorded you have to input it yourself, manually. This is deceptive and a waste of money, why would anyone pay to have an app that makes you do all the work? I wrote to the developer and he replied along the lines of “sorry, that is the way it is now”... terrible.

One of the best apps I've ever used.. I used this app to catalogue every single item that my wife and I own. Helped tremendiously with our move. Used it to keep track of what was in storage and what wasn't. Started as a way to keep track of my Blu-Ray collection and morphed into over 1000 items. I can finally get the proper insurance and rest easy that my possessions are catalogued.

Won’t open???. Keep trying to open the app and it immediately crashes. So how can I fix this? If I delete and try to reinstall will all my inventory be deleted as well?? This is really lame. Please help!!!

Won’t sync. I can’t get it to sync between my iPhone and iPad.

One of the most comprehensive home inventory apps I've seen.. This app can keep an impressive amount of information about your household belongings. However, it is really impossible to figure out how to set up and it's tricky to use. From setting up category attributes, product mappings, item groups and item values, which doesn't mean the monetary value of the item, this app finally makes you give up on having an itemized inventory. I realize the app has a high user rating, that's the reason I bought it. But it is just too convoluted to set up if you are not naturally able to set up software or schooled in that field. This app had a couple features that really attracted me to it, but not being able to layout a scheme for this program made them useless.

Hard to use. There’s lots of options to search and track your stuff but it’s not very intuitive I haven’t been able to figure out how to add items to the inventory

Fantastic Work App!. I have developed this app to manage all of our SDS/MSDS documents at work by location. Now all i have to do is photograph a product in the work-place, assign its' location, then attach the current SDS. Everything stays within the app itself, and i can export everything quickly as PDF. I am now working on an asset manager for all our equipment. Its extremely powerful and stable software, with excellent mobility for the work environment. Highly recommended.

Wow! Just, Wow!. I purchased MyStuff in 2010 and have loved it! I keep track of movies, drinks I like, household electronics, etc. With my iPhone 6, I needed to purchase MyStuff2. (I chose Pro). OK, it's been a few years, and I support the developer. I set up DropBox to transfer data from the old phone MyStuff to the new phone MyStuff2, but I did it wrong. Using the "contact support" option in the app, I described the issue. Within MINUTES, I received a reply from the developer with clear and detailed steps to correct it. I'm just in awe! Now I have all my data on the new phone, in a new app, and trust in the fact that the developer is actively supporting his app.

Not all here. Downloaded trial tried several books and only title and image inputted. Unlike other barcode scanning systems this falls WAY short. Plan on LOTS of manual entry. Not for large libraries.

Great app - one shortcoming. I think I have looked at every home inventory app available for the iPad and iPhone platform, and this one comes as close to perfect as any so far. The single missing feature that would put MyStuff2 over-the-top is the ability to sync between devices. Currently the only way to get data from one device onto another is through a back up and restore procedure. This is simple enough to do, since it does make use of iCloud, but it would be nice to be able to enter information on any device and have that data synced automatically between all devices. Furthermore, a desktop app would be very welcome as well. I find it much quicker and easier to enter all information using my computer versus using an iOS device.

This is THE inventory managing system. I have nearly 1000 books that I want to catalog and know where that item is located. I have nearly a 1000 different electronic/digital/robotic pieces that I need to keep track of. Lots of Double Buying things... MyStuff2 Pro is a collection of different inventory systems. How I inventory and mange books is different for Books, Electronics, Systems, etc... I paired this on my iPhone with a Phomemo label printer. As I get new things I enter it on the phone, print a label and throw it in a bin and mark the bin #. I don't need lots of bins, just a couple of medium sized ones... I then use the inventory to track which bin it is in. Easy to find, easy to make sure I have or don't have something when needed. I tip my hat to you Mr. Maddy! This is like on my top 10 list of apps, ever!

Horrible. Download to try and can’t do anything and is very confusing.

its good but…. it needs icloud databases for all in one sync button can you see if you can update this application.

Awful. Title says it all. This app is an absolute WASTE OF TIME. Poor developer support. They charge you for tools the DO NOT work. $.99 here, $1.99 there….for nothing. Do not waste your time, you’ll end up regretting it.

So glad to have found this program!. I've tried so many apps to track various areas (home inventory, lists of online deals bought, gifts given, and so on). Each had it's ups and downs, but didn't fit and meant maintaining multiple apps. This lets me do it all together! And I can custom so many aspects (fields, display formats of the fields, appearance-Std & conditional, etc). it doesn't force one structure for all lists/categories. I have sections so far for Movies, Books, Games, Home Items for moving Prep, tracking Online Deals bought to still use. The ability to scan barcodes or even just type in barcodes (which I'm a bit faster with) makes loading items so very easy. I'm the sort who may just dive into usage and play around to learn how something works rather than first read any manuals, so I didn't find some features until after already using it for a bit. Continuously finding more features is great though! The developer is incredibly responsive and helpful, via emails or on the forum, which is also a great community for reference and support. I'm thrilled with this app and would recommend it to anyone who asked about a inventory or database system! Thank you so much for all the great work!

One Great App. I was very happy with the light version of this app but I had already bought the Home Library app and did not want to buy another one. I soon realized this app offered me so much more and it's features sold me. I gave in and bought the Pro version. It was definitely worth the extra money. I have found every movie and every music CD in the scan & search feature, which is good because I have a ton of both. I have even started adding my electronics and other stuff. Great job to the makers of MyStuff2.

Been Waiting a Long Time for this!!!!. Finally, Someone who understands my needs. You can just about customize this pro version to be anything you want it to be. I will finally be able to photo my household inventory for insurance, warranty, loaning out, in a constructive, productive way. If something should happen to me……now my love ones know exactly what I have and what it’s worth. Who ever developed this…..this app is worth the money spent.

I want to Love This App. I started off with the free version. It took some exploring to figure it out, once I got the basics for my purposes down I was sold. Started adding my inventory. Was entering from 3 units 1 iPad and 2 iPhones and the Dropbox database corrupted. Could not open the app as it would crash. Finally got one of the units to create a backup and restored from that. Only lost a small amount of data. If the problem was a corrupt database as it appeared to be, a data repair / verify capability would be a major asset. I am still intent on making MyStuff work for my purposes as the format is the best I've seen.

J L. I downloaded this app and I can’t even figure out how to add an item, delete

Great customizable database. Love, love, love it! Had a minor glitch - received quick, courteous response. May have been a user error on my part, since it hasn't happened again. Using mostly for movies, video games, and books. I have a private library of over 1500 books, I have 500 entered so far, with great results. Was not looking forward to writing my own db for them, as I have in the past, so was pleased to find this does everything I need it to, including Csv for print out. Yea! Saved me a ton of work. Using iPod touch, need scan2pic integrated workaround for barcodes, but of other apps I tried, by far the best/easiest solution.

Great for inventorying rock collections. I had been searching for a program to catalog my rock collection. I tried several and they were expensive, not user friendly, allowed a small number of photos, or kept crashing. I tried MyStuffPro2 and was able to create a category for my rocks and subcategories as I needed. You can even import Excel spreadsheets. It's so flexible and easy! You can use it to keep track of anything! The $8.99 price was well worth it.
