Bait and switch. Had GoodReader and switched to a new iPad. App Store automatically downloaded this Enterprise version (useless to an individual) and now asks me to pay $5 to download the GoodReader app I already own. Fraudulent.

Was one of my favorites since it’s inception.. I used to live and die by this application. It only seemed to get better and better as it was constantly updated to meet the needs and wants of the community. I only ever open reading and audio files using GoodReader and would've continued to do so. As it’s abilities are seemingly endless, it was very useful for me on a daily basis. However, their seeming abandonment of the early supporters of their application is absolutely unacceptable. I’ve already paid heftily to use this product and now since iOS 11 has been issued to us all this app now requires yet another price tag. Seems quite greedy to me & Positively Despicable!

Useless. It doesn't make it clear how to get the activation key. After you download it, you cannot set up, because you'll try forever to register and get your key, but without success...

Do not buy, greedy company, will racket you for your docs. I bought this app for a few reasons, to have one offline place for all of my manuals for different items, had about 50 or so different manuals and some other pdf docs. Used it on occasion. After apple forced me to upgrade to ios 11 on my ipad, I could not open GoodReader, checked if I had the latest version, guess what, they want more money. I emailed them, they told me I have to buy the new version or I have to get a computer, download an app and fetch all my docs to the computer. I do not have and od not want a computer. This is just bollocks, I am still on the same device and I bought the app, ai what it to work. Do not buy this unless you want the same issue down the road. In fact I I for one will make sure I do not buy anything made by these guys.

Doesn't work for me. You will need an IT admin to get this app to work. How would I know this? That's the message I get when I tried to open the app.

Useless. As one other user stated, you have to enter an activation key to use the app. What the heck is this? I must be missing something here. Oh well, I'll just move on to some other app, that may actually make sense.

This app not for general public. In the description, it states that this app is specifically for "Good for Enterprise" users.

Misleading title. As others have found out, this is NOT the goodreader app.

Bad Business. This was my go to app, and I convinced my company to purchase multiple licenses for all employees. Now we have to shell out more money after the IOS 11 update to re-purchase the app. Needless to say my recommendation to the president will be no, we will find another app. To abandon loyal customers is unacceptable and you should seriously consider this before buying the app.

GOOD for Enterprise has the Midas touch...in a bad way. Everything that GOOD for enterprise touches turns out bad. Good Reader is a great app. So let me clarify that my review has nothing to do with Good Reader as a stand alone app. Leave it to Good for enterprise to mess it up. The integration between the two apps is clunky, buggy and down right frustrating. I work for a large organization and we are piloting the app. All I can say is that once another vendor can figure out how to securly deliver mail on the tablets that amkes my company compliance people happy...Good for enterprise will be in a lot of hurt. They currently have a monopoly in the market. My recommendation is to try to convince your company to allow the orignial good reader app instead of this one. The frustration and lack of support from GOOD for enterprise is horrible at best.

Crashes, requiring uninstall & reinstall, resulting in loss of all data. The app is useful when it works, but eventually it stops working. The only way to get it to work again is to uninstall and reinstall, resulting in a loss of all data. There should be a feature allowing the user to back up and restore all or part of the library.

Horrible. I could not open it without the access key. A waste of time. I downloaded PDF Master instead. Works great!

GoodReader Good. Product showed up on my tablet. When I try to open it, I am asked for an-authorization from an email I never received. Too late, I noticed other reviewers had the same problem.

Read the description before downloading. This is a special enterprise version of GoodReader for companies. It's not a free version of GoodReader.

Scam and fake app. I dont understand why they call it a free app. Once installed, it asks for an access key which can only be given once you pay for a full version.

There is no free version. Just called the phone number listed, and technically there is no free version of this app. This version is for companies and government agencies that buy licenses and distribute them to their employees. Apparently they receive a lot of calls about this issue and yet no one has updated the description of this app to reflect this common misconception. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP unless your company has an activation key for this app.

You have to be kidding. Don't waste your time downloading this app. Apple should do a better job screening bad apps before they become available in the App Store.

Need to pay again to upgrade. Had paid for older version and am forced to upgrade due to dropped iOS 11 support - and have to pay again. Don’t think so knowing that I’ll have to pay again after this GoodReader version stops being supported. Thanks for abandoning your early users.

This application is Terrible-- not Good. The navigation is very cumbersome. Getting in & out of edit mode is not intuitive. There is no capability to zoom in/out when marking up a document so it's difficult to write with a stylus. Free-form functions that would be used with a finger are also not possible. Bugs have also caused the loss of edited text documents when the application refused to save work that was created in it. Use with caution.

Bad deal. They have destroyed the app. I can not even open my files from the old version. And it doesn’t even open with ios13. I have payed almost 10 usd, and it was a good app, what a shame.

SCAM. I don't know what else to call it besides scam. Why would they make this "free" app only to ask for an "access key" that they know they didn't give you? Probably because they hope you, the customer, will upgrade and pay. Sounds like false advertising when you say what "free" version is able to do but here we all are stating otherwise.....

Goodreader. I have used the regular Good reader app on my iPhone and love it - tho cannot get to work on the iPad without the access key which I never received.

READ BEFORE OPENING BIG MOUTH. People should READ before complaining. This is an ENTERPRISE model. You get your ACCESS KEY from your IT ADMIN. If you don’t know, or don’t have an IT ADMIN, the app is not for you. Move on, buy a game, get over it. Jeez!

Can't Use. I downloaded this and that was as far as I could go because the first set up page states to put in the access key that should be sent to you. Never got that after several attempts, therefore I just deleted it.

Not a free app nor it is a trial.. This is a targeted app that company buy their license and therefore access cite provided by IT of such company.

access key was not delivered to me. I purchased the app and did not get the access Key, my communication with the seller was not responded. I Have paid for the app but not able to use it for past two months. After sales services does not exist for this app. it is very unfortunate because the software itself is amazingly good.

No access key, and no way shown how to get a key. Seriously, "get the access key from your IT person" is silly. You should warn people this is not a truly public app. Too bad, some people said the previous versions were good. I was going to try it for the first time.

Is Good. PerfectReader Classic is/was good. GoodReader not so good for IOS 11 used without an IT password - so I can’t rate it - but then I must rate it it I can’t post this.

Avoid. Like everyone else, I had the previous version. No key won’t open. Many of my docs are lost.

What about old GoodReader?. I was hoping this would be a patch cure for old good reader, as I have a bunch of docs in it and can’t get them back. No. And the access code? Super annoying.

Mark up on all file types please!. SO grateful for this app, I use it every day for school. I wish I could write on any type of file - ppt/image/etc to modify notes. If I could do that me even mark up a blank document this app would be my go-to for everything.

Cheated. I bought this app years ago for work. It has been one of the few apps I have had that works exactly as designed and that has every imaginable feature you might ever want to use, on top of the high quality intuitive interface. I replaced my old phone and my old tablet. I downloaded the app that I PAID FOR and thus HAD A LICENSE FOR – it asks for a password I never had and which was never before required, and has thus become entirely unusable. Guys, you are the worst cheaters ever. I have already bought a license when I first bought the app and you expect me to buy it again by buying a more recent version?! That is like letting a spectator in to the show, ripping their ticket, kicking them out of the auditorium and telling them to buy another ticket if they want to go back in. Sorry, I am not the dumb person you assume your customers to be. GoodReader is dead to me. I have taken note of the name of your company and will never buy anything from you again – I inadvertently gave you the chance to cheat me once and you are never getting another chance. So disappointed. Bought this version some years ago before 4th version came out. Has worked fine all this years....then boom...now I have to have an email and code from my corporate IT person. Makes no sense at all. Why didn't you just create an separate app for those Good users? The long time users of this App have now been hurt.

News to developer - it's NOT free when you require an access code. Get real. If your app is that good, gelt us give a bit of a try. Not a trial version. I thought this was a free version with limited features that you can try to see if you want the full version. Nope. The very first screen asks for an access code. I have no idea what the purpose of this version is.

Access Key Required. As a free app (how most people decide whether the full version is really worth the purchase) you are required to enter an access code because apparently you have to have a link to download this app or permission from your IT department to operate this free app. Really, why bother with a free app if the app is restricted on launch?

No Way to find the Access Code!. Absolutely no information about how to receive or find the Access Code. Wasted a lot of valuable time trying to find out. These folks just don't appear to be serious. Almost all other reviews seem to say the same thing: No Access Code! Uninstalled GoodReader.

The Good and The Bad. This is really good! I use it at school. Though when I use it at home, I can't get the access code.

Bad Program. I too was suckered in to Pay $4.99 for this App. It requires an activation key to run it. So, I guess I lost my money. I wish I could get a refund as I never received an email with the Activation Code. Therefore,I could go no further in the installation. Please read this and don’t make a stupid mistake like I did. Save your money.
