Not bad. A fun game but most of the clues and puzzles don't make alot of sense, and a walkthrough is recomended to complete the game. The overall atmosphere of the game however is fun, with good art, sound, and music. If you like horror games, this is not bad, and I'd say give it a try.

Awesome. I don't think I would, but I actually really liked it, the story was great, the music and sound effects made it terrifying at times, and most of all, the true ending made me feel so happy. It was just a great game, I don't recommend it to the faint of heart and such, but for people who are ok with violence, I totally recommend it! Maybe it's just me, but this is one of my favorite games I've played on the phone. 5 stars.

Give it a try. This game is my number 1 still after all the mobile games I’ve played since it release. You can’t beat its storytelling, it’s puzzles, or it’s music. During my first playthrough I was terrified which really means something for a mobile game. I wish this game would come back to more updated versions of iOS so I could play it many more times.

Good. I sucked at this game, but here's a tip for immersion; play it in your bedroom at 1 AM sitting next to a window with headphones. Scary.

No.. This game is far to obscure to even comprehend and no one should waste their time trying to decipher its ridiculous puzzles. There is literally no way to complete it without a guide. Also it somehow requires "button mashing" on your touch screen to figure out what the hell you're even supposed to do, and then when you finally figure it out, you feel like an idiot and literally dread the next segment. Do not play.

Amazing.. The puzzles aren't too difficult, in my opinion. The plot of the true ending was definitely something, too. The game also did a great job with setting the mood. I really liked this game, and I highly recommend you start playing as well. Also, I'm still wondering why the serial killer was one in the first place...they had a reason for doing all that messy stuff, right?

Please Update The Game. Hi!! I used to play this game as a kid when I had an ipod lol. For the past few days something got me thinking of this game and Ellie (Ellie I played first then downloaded this one shortly after) But I remember as a kid I sometimes couldn’t figure out some of the puzzles lol and would make me quit the game.. Now that I’m very very much older and wiser I wanted to see if I’d actually be able to figure out the puzzles faster and actually beat the games lol😂 Downloading Ellie as I’m typing this out, but I can’t download this game because it’s outdated for the current IOS 😭😭😭 Plzzzz update I desperately searched to find these 2 girls and only get to play one when I reallyyyy wanted to play this one again! Pleaseeeee and thank you!! 😇

Great. At first I was iffy with this game. It was just confusing and at first I didn't get it. But I actually really enjoyed it. It's more of a puzzle game, notvery scary but good plot twists. Some of the puzzles were really hard and I had to look them up. But it was fantastic! Definitely recommend!

Waste of Money. Great idea! Potential to be a great game. However, the puzzles are almost impossible to figure out without hints. Of course you can buy hints with real money converted into game coins! Not scary, but a convoluted story line at best. Oh and to completely finish the game you have to buy another story line for this app.

Amazing game. For being free it was extremely fun and took me a few hours to complete, I just had to buy the prequel for this game which was well worth the 2.00 and left no questions about the story line. All in all this is one of the best games I have played on a mobile device I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a good brain teaser.

Underrated.. I really freaking love this game. It gives you a sense of fear and panic yet at the same time reassurance. Another Story, which can be bought within murder room is totally worth it. The storyline along with the music moves me to tears every time I play it. This game is truly amazing.

5 Stars. The puzzles in the game aren't too difficult, and the plot is really cool. I didn't think I would like this game at first, but it was truly amazing. I totally recommend it to any horror lovers out there.

Meh.. Not a fan. The puzzles are nearly impossible to solve. Had to look up a walk through halfway through the first level. Could be great if there were easier clues. I really loved Asylum and Cult Escape. Challenging without being too difficult and frustrating. Able to get through both of those with no hints!

Struggled but finished. The game is great! Took a while to figure out the good end, but it was soo worth it.

I used to play this around 3 years ago but i was too young to understand how to solve all the puzzles and ive recently wanted to try the game again to see if i could make any progress but as ive just seen, the game is no longer compatible with IOS 11. Unbelievably hard. IMPOSSIBLE to solve.. Look, I loved the introduction and the spooks, but too bad this game is hard. And I mean DEATHLY HARD. Impossible to solve. I only competed 5% of the game. Pretty bad. So, DO something about this, please. I was up ALL NIGHT trying to figure out what to do to at least get to finish 20% of the game! I don't like asking for help at all, but...HALP!!

Interesting Concept, But.... Several occasions I would be trying to solve a puzzle, clicking on various things but to no avail. Bought the hint/s which would tell me to do what I had already been doing, and then would spend several more clicks before the action would activate. Makes me wonder if it is glitchy or if it is deliberate to encourage more in game purchases. It is also obviously that some other reviews here are by people associated with the game developers, which I find is rather misleading. I know it is only a free game, but polish it up, remove the 'glitches'.

Fantastic!!. Loved the style and originality of this game! It has the basic concept of a room escape game mixed with something completely unique and quite unlike any room escape game I've ever played! It's storyline flows smoothly yet offers twists and turns that keep you entertained and wanting to know more. The puzzles are tricky but not impossible and the graphics fit perfectly with the style of game! Definitely a hidden gem if you like horror themed room escape games this is definitely an original and frightening experience! I think this is a perfect game! 5/5!

Hard to know what to do.. I touhgt the game was fun at the begining but after I unlocked the door of the "closet" I was lost.. But the game down and didn't with it since then! You have to be a very logical & interested person to put all the pieces of this game together. Would LOVE to have instructions in this game.... Cus' there's absolutely nothing written in this one. Lots of fun. Played this game with a couple of friends a few years back. We all got it on our phones and told each other what we figured out. It was fun to play together and funny whenever I friend got spooked and you didn't know what was happening.

Not bad.... The storyline is okay, but it took me forever to try and find what to do. There are no "givens" on what to do, and it seems like you have no time to "hide" or "bolt the door shut." When I was on Chapter 2, I realized the app was a waste of my time. I couldn't pick up the chair to bolt the door shut, and really there's no mystery behind it. You're trying to find a way out. I would've just jumped out of the window and hoped for the best. Overall, a complete waste of time, and I'll ever download another app from the designers.

DO NOT PLAY!!!!. Game is very repetitive and boring, so dark that you can barley see what you are doing. Also, it erased what I had just done every time I exited the game. Overall has major glitches and is boring to save you time do not play at all

Great. It's a great game not really a scare the only scare you get is when you have to hurry and do something. For the door you have to get the rope off the table where you got the girl off of and tie the door shut. There should be more coins so you can get more hints. The oven part is way too hard there's no way to know how you're supposed to get Melanie out of the oven other than that its a great game. Please take my suggestions to improve the game and continue making these games they're really fun to play keep up the good work guys.

Amazing. This really surprised me, it may have been hard at times but yet it had a really good storyline and the true ending is one of most amazing ending I have every seen. Not only that, the games sound effects were so lifelike and it even scared me a few times to be honest it may have been picture by picture animation but the game is still amazing in my opinion I recommend you get it.

Awesome. This is a really good game! The puzzles range from easy - hard, all require strategy and intelligence. This will really get your mind working, as well as giving you a slight scare! I highly recommend this game to anyone over the age of 12. The story that goes along with the game is amazing, if I must say. & if you're one to spend your money on games, I'd highly suggest to buy 'another story' as it goes amazingly with the first story and ties in at the end quite well. Can't play the game. I'll change my rating once the game is fixed, but right now I will have to say its crap. It won't let me pick up anything including the knife on the table. I've read the walkthroughs and done everything it said to do and still nothing. All I can do is look through the rooms or die by tapping on the guy.

AWESOME!. I loved the good ending the best! It took me forever to figure out the oven part to get the roman numerals/code but I found a good website with the answers. What I had to do was turn my phone upside down and then do Right, Up, Up, Left, Up, Down, Right. The answers for my phone (because everyone could have different answers) were: GOOD ENDING: 2531 for the closet door 426 for fuse box

Best room escape I've played- hands down.. Although I loved their Ellie room escape this one far surpasses its earlier game. With beautiful art and terrifying puzzles this game makes use of everything. On top of that it has an actual story to the game (which you won't understand fully until you play the .99 cent extra mode) which is hauntingly beautiful and sad. There isn't enough good to say about this game, and I definitely suggest buying the extra mode because w/o it the story is concluded totally different. If you played the second mode and dont get it, just think about it! Heres a hint: who's the real butcher?

they need to make an app of the internet game "Exmortis". after playing some of this game, it reminded me of how how hard the internet puzzle horror game that used to be on newgrounds called "Exmortis", it would be awsome if they could get the rights to make an app game from that internet game, all in all I give them props for trying to make it enjoyable.

Best App Game I've Played!. Deliciously challenging, and very intense. I couldn't put it down! I admit I looked up a walk through to help with a part or two I got stuck at. I love it!. I just finished the game and I loved the Storyline! The music at the end was so beautiful! Please make another separate game but this time make it like a romance called "Melanie's Romance." Have Melanie grow older to like 18 years old and fall in love with the butcher because I believe the butcher,who is probably Eric,would do anything for her. Thus he would be a changed man because she's the only one who could stop him and was there by his side at the hospital! I think it would be a great idea! Please take my suggestion into consideration :)

Don't waste your time. Don't bother it is a poorly designed game. The screen is dark because its scary or more likely it is just to make it hard to see the details. This is poorly designed drivel, and is not worth the time. The clues are simple and beating the game takes less time the downloading the app. Really it could so much better if you had real control of the character. Just pick up the knife. Walk up behind the fool with the running chainsaw. Believe me he would not hear a thing. Slice the throat and walk out the door. Oh and if you did not realize the poor controls are just their to force you to use the hints and pay them money for substandard work. Worst game ever!

Amazing!!!. I loved the sense of being immersed in the game. It really made me feel just like I was in the room, the sense of fear, panic, and adrenaline were all present when I played this game.

Ellie's got some competition. I love Ellie Help Me Out Please so I was really excited when I found this game. It took me forever to beat, which was nice. Ellie was hard but this is just insane at times. It's very creepy and the sounds and dark atmosphere make it a hundred times scarier. I highly recommend it if you like horror games, and it's worth beating just to hear the song at the end. Anyone know what it's called..?

Makes no sense.. Thank goodness I read the reviews and got all the clues from someone, or I would have never been able to figure this out! Liked the idea of the game, but too fake and vague! "The Room" is a way better game with free clues. Way better graphics and sound too! It's just not about murder or anything. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Wow😃. I loved how the art looked and the theme. Murder room made me feel like I was in a murder case in real life! Wonderful game. Only problem is that some of these puzzles are very hard and I get a bad ending every time I use the chainsaw on the murderer but other than that I honestly love this game😘

Amazing!!!. This game has you thinking about everything you could do or use. It's crazy! It's kinda hard though, but when you come towards the end you just don't want to stop! I LOVED the game. Now...if someone could tell me the ending's theme song. That's be great. I love that song. 😃

Outstanding.. Absolutely astonishing game. Truly takes patience. A trial and error type of gameplay. It may be difficult but it's a great game. Give it a chance and play. Aside from the greatness of this game, I would have appreciated a deeper story or some type of background to explain the stranger, Melanie, and the character himself.

Took my breath away.... This game was amazing in every way. The challenging problems, the plot, art, music, everything. Ellie is one of my favorite games, and to see a similar game even better was just perfect. But the endings... Man... Those surprised me beyond measure. Whichever ending you get, it just leaves you in a state if shock and amazement (mostly the True End). It leaves you thinking about it and it's connection with everything you'r gone through. It was just... amazing. Probably the only app that has ever gotten me choked up. ^_^ I'm really disappointed that this is getting such low ratings all because people can't solve the riddles. This deserves at the LEAST a 4.5/5, and I seriously hope you make more horror games like these. :)

Very lovely game. I do love the plot twist that almost made me hate her but then not, and such. A tip for people stuck on the oven: For whoever needs help on the oven, do the pattern of left, bottom, bottom, right, bottom, top, left from each angle a different time. Like do it once quickly from upright, if that doesn't work to it at another angle, etc until you get it.

I love this game but.... I can't get Another Story to work properly. Every time I go to the menu of Another Story, the game crashes. I want a fix or a refund for another story because I paid at least three dollars for this DLC.

Suggestion/Request. (Potential Spoilers) Then game was fantastic. The first portion before "Another Story" is perfect.I beat it with out hints and wouldn't change it in any way. The second half was good, but two of the puzzles may be considered a little too obscure. The third keypad puzzle is definitely problematic because the solution, is only one of four arrangements ( A=0, a=0, A=1, a=1) And with no visual clues to start, is considered literally "too difficult". The other puzzle is the water system puzzle, with the answer being a five parts of the hint, I was working on it for two days and a number of letter algorithms before giving up. The next thing is how the story played out, I think it would make more since if Eric didn't know who really was the butcher vs. Eric trying to cover it up. After all, Neil did look like at first he cared about whether or not Melanie died, unless his entire intention was for Eric to kill him. But seeing how Eric's arrival looked more like a mistake, it doesn't feel right Other than that, the only thing else I would like is the song at the end. I loved it and would love to get it somehow. Maybe put it on iTunes or something. I would say to try and make it a reward to keep for beating the game, like the wall papers for Ellie. Amazing. This is the best game I've ever played on the iPod u guys have to make more what I liked the most is the story line and the song at the end of the true end I loved it but I don't know what it's called

Great game. Don't give the game low ratings just because you can't get through it. This is a very smart and challenging game. If you don't wish to pay for the hints, there are plenty of free walkthroughs available online. Compared to Ellie, this game's much better in design, story, puzzles and atmosphere. Good job, developers, and please keep on making more games like this!

Terrifying, Amazing, Beautiful.. This game was absolutely amazing! The game forces you to think as quick as you can as you stop "The Butcher" and save the young girl, Melanie. I don't think there is anything that one would need to change this game any better, this is what more games need to be like. I got both Bad and True endings, but there has to be more. Progress is at 70%. All in all, this was the best mobile horror game I have ever played. (PS: Does anyone know the True End theme song name? I really like it!)

Fun,plus a maybe spoiler. I was playing it got about three or more hours and I was able to get both the true ending and the bad one. P.s. It think the killer was her moms stalker or someone that cared for her.

Great game, great story, marred by dodgy presentation. You wake up with little memory of how you ended up in an old, decrepit apartment, but there in front of you is a masked killer who is about to make quick work of a defenseless girl… and thus begins the Room Escape game followup from Ateam Inc. The game has an amazing soundtrack, great sound effects, high quality gritty artwork to really put gamers in an unsettling surrounding — and the Bad Endings will shock you when reached for the first time. The only complaint to be leveled at the game is the limited color palette of dark/darker/darkest. One must practically feel around in the dark to even find clues or the puzzles themselves. Otherwise, this could possibly be the most immersive experience anyone could have playing a Room Escape game. I hope there will be more installments from the same developer in the future.

Finally!!!! 😂😃. 😂 the first horror game that has a good ending AND doesn't send a chill up and down my spine when the "good/true ending" happens I LOVED the true ending this was a well made and well thought out. I was brought to tears 😭

I'm stuck. Ok I'm using a walk through because this is the first time and I'm getting stuck on how to get Melanie out of the oven. I'm using the SEE NEWS clue and I'm using the oven buttons as a compass with the top button as south. But it still won't turn off and open. And I need the steak with roman numerals so that I can get the true ending.

Another poke and pray.. This game get three stars because it's pretty neat, and I like where they were going with it. More importantly it loses two stars because as is often the case in this type of game logical steps that need to be taken for completion can only be taken in an asinine arbitrary sequence. This game doesn't take the necessary steps that similar games have in the past, of letting you know that you're doing the right thing at the wrong time.

LOVE IT!!. I just finished the True Ending... and I have to say that this game is definately one of my most favorites. Ever. The graphics and soundtrack have lots of love and thought put into them, the gameplay is easy and intuitive, and the story is engaging. Overall... this is an amazing game and I highly recommend you at least try... it's free after all!

Cook the steak. I wanted to like this game. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the tension was exciting. However, the game fails as a puzzle game. It is actually impossible to solve the first time through. Also, the game will deposit you in a chapter without the tools you need to get through it, meaning you're just wasting your time. Some of the puzzles are absurd. The game restricts your choices in strange ways. And in the end, the whole thing just doesn't make sense. Disappointing.

Murder Room. I love playing it but right when I'm about to end the game the app always crashes on Melanies face! Please fix the bug

Scariest game I've played on the App Store!!!!. SUPER fun game just wish there was more levels to do but the first time I played was scary just wish longer but great

Good game. I love how this game brings challenge, and forces you to use your grey matter. However there are some "glitches/bugs" in the game. When Melanie gets stuck in the oven. I used those arrows and the clue "SEE NEWS" as a compass. I clicked south east east north east west then south. The oven did not open. I tried turning my phone on different sides and nothing happens. Please fix this! Overall I REALLY love this game. Please make another one just like Murder Room & Ellie Please help me out!!

Best. Game. Ever.. I feel this game has very amazing art and intense music in the right parts, and it has one of the most complex and well written stories I've ever played in the App Store. It seems like if it were combined with its prequel game, "White Lotus", it could be sold as an actual game in stores. I can't say enough good things, it kept me guessing and wondering what would happen next and in the end it left me heartbroken when I played White Lotus and the story really pieced together. Great game.

Right up my alley!. This game is dark and gritty just like I prefer my games. I keep getting the bad ending (45%) too, but eventually, I'll get the good ending. Here are a few hints: 1. Get the knife. 2. Check closet 3. Get doll out of closet (1113) 4. Toss doll out window 5. Hide under table 6. Check girl on table 7. Cut her free with knife 8. Grab cut rope from table (not the kitchen table) 9. Use rope on door 10. Cut leather chair and remove map 11. Cut table cloth 12. Use on kitchen window 13. Try to leave through the window 14. Use knife 15. Untie rope from door 16. Go back to window and pick up key 17. Use key on refrigerator 18. Remove gasoline container There's more, but I'm not sure if I'm suppose to be posting these hints. L

Froze!. At the end of chapter two i wanted to play chapter three. So I was on a black screen that said chapter three. Great game though! It froze at a cliff hanger too!

No no no!!!!!. This game is fcked up on so many lvl. Murderer amputating people, stove randomly closing when the girl is it, girl cooking alive?!?!? What the hell kind the crap is that? On top of it all, how the hell are you supposed to get the girl out of the stove?!?!? I clicked everything and everywhere, I didn't get a freaking thing. Also, what kind of freak wears a pig head? On top of it all this game is messed up on so many ways possible

Exceptional Game. I never take the time to write a review for a game, but this masterpiece is truly deserving. It has it's own original soundtrack (which is awesome by the way) and smooth gameplay and story progression. Apps usually feel like they fall short and are just try hards, but this one really does stand out as a fantastic game.

Chapter 4 the game crash. I like the game but the the only problem is the when I get to a certain part in chapter 4 the game shuts itself off and I can't move on after that because it will take me to the start of chapter 4.

True Endings Makes It Perfect!. Scary games like these with true endings makes me feel at ease and the song really matches it! Those who havent discovered the true ending yet please dont bother asking me for help ill be glad to help anyone. :)

Must. Understand. Story.. This is the most fun app I have ever had. Not because its scary. Not because I like puzzles. Because the story is so amazing! Every day ill play this game and try to find another way to end it. Learn new clues. Gosh the story is so addicting. Buying the second game was well worth it to learn what's really going on and who the Boucher really is. But leaving just enough gaps for your imagination to go wiled!!! I've beat this game so many times but it never gets old cuz every time I learn something new. Did u know that in the very very very beginning (when u first die).... STUCK IN OVEN. Now that I've seen 300 other review messages asking "HOW DO I GET THE FRIGGIN GIRL OUT OF THE OVEN," will SOMEBODY ANSWER BACK. I just don't understand if this symbol "<" is the arrow or if it means "right of the apartment" or means North. The compass looks like a cross. And this thing "<" is located in the upper left quadrant of the cross/compass. I don't get it and now I'm stuck. If this wasn't an issue I'd give this 5 Stars because its cool. But the girl stuck in the oven.... Jeeeezzzzz!

I out smarted the game. Ok so I finally figured it out on the map it says north is the left arrow , so if you use this to figure out the coordinates it isn't right up up left up down right it's the opposite do the math!!!best game ever

Pretty good. I so far have enjoyed this game, it's a little difficult in an ease of use way but over all so far I like the graphics and puzzle solving , survival horror style games. I'm only in the beginning stages so for now I'm a bit stuck but it's something I'm willing to keep working on

I love it!!. I loved Ellie a lot and this game is great too!! I just can't really play it because I get freaked out because it's really intense. Overall, it's ton of fun and very challenging.
