Scammy subscription practices. Everything i did i expected paper subscriptions, but after not ever receiving, decided to hunt down my email confirmation. Logged in and see i have a digital subscription. Cancelling required me to register and put my shipping address and hunt for turning off "auto renewal" and cancel.

agh, just give me the regular magazine. I hate how this is not a direct copy of the print version - it's all "interactive" with different ads and layouts. It gets tremendously annoying to have to constantly flip the ipad on its side and back to see if there's a photo youre not seeing all of (sometimes theres a totally different photo for the two orientations, other times one is severely cropped).

More, please :-). I haven't had any functional problems with this app. My problem is having the patience to wait for the next issue.

Excellent!. I love this app. It brings the pages to life with smooth functionality that pleasantly expand on the outstanding print content.

Hate new format. You know good and well what all of the critics are saying so your pasting the optimized zoom for a response is bogus! What you’ve done was basically gone to a PDF of the actual print magazine with zoom whereas in the past the magazine was made for the digital format and was absolutely perfect! One of the best digital mags...but now it’s terrible! I imagine this is cheaper for you and even though your magazine has always been about quality you’ve chosen to go down the other path. So very disappointing. Even the resolution is different...shame!

I had a paid subscription last year.. I thought when I purchased the magazine, the pages were mine. Wrong! When I did not renew, the pages went away. I will purchase the future magazines at a store in the future.

No Landscape mode on an iPad??. No obvious way to flip the subscription to landscape mode on an iPad. If there is, it’s not conspicuous. Absolutely not an issue with Wallpaper*, Dwell, etc. Ridiculous considering most iPad users I know are hooked in with an iPad Pro w/keyboard. Please, please fix and/or let us know how we can turn this app around.

Frustrating App. The way this app is designed, it’s like it doesn’t want me to use the magazine. It closes without prompting about 10 seconds after you start scrolling. Difficult, unintuitive, unresponsive navigation experience.

Love this mag.. Way to go, Condé Nast! You know how to treat your print subscribers. I love that I can read in print at home and get free digital editions for on-the-go.

Hallelujah. Finally the magazine is living up to its full potential with this new editor! Thank you thank you thank you. This magazine is divine! So chic and beautiful and the app is even better! I am in heaven

Gorgeous. Pictures on the same quality level of National Geographic. Homes, articles, and ads are all geared toward very high-end clientele, but it's fun to look at how the top 1% live. (Think movie-stars and CEOs. One always can get ideas, then scale it down to the real world.) Eye-candy for those who are frustrated wanna-be architects that never conquered that world. Shows what one could do if money was no object. If you like to look at gorgeous residential (and some commercial) architecture for fun, this is the mag for you.

Landscape mode please!!. The three stars is solely for the app and not the content of the magazine. A feature that is not currently available for this app, but absolutely should be, is the landscape mode. Inability to see an entire image of a two-page layout (which is typically used for the featured article) is incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Even on a one page layout, you are constrained to the width of portrait mode when zooming in on a landscape photograph. Please, please, please add this feature and I will update this review immediately.

About bleeping time!. At last. The one magazine that must have been created with the iPad in mind, finally joins the 21st century and gets an iPad edition.

Totally useless app. What happened? A perfectly fine way to read AD was made essentially useless by redesign. Without a text zoom feature, you can no longer read the text on an iPad. Without the picture zoom feature, you can no longer see details in photos up close. If you can’t read the type and can’t enlarge the pictures, what good is this app? Very disappointed with this. I will stop reading until a fix is made. The recent necessary fix to this app completely made it useful and loved again. Thank you for paying attention to your faithful readers...much appreciated!

Perfection!!!. I have always thought of AD as one of the best magazines ever, now in electronic version it has actually gotten better!

Convoluted Subscription Sign Up Process. Very difficult to sign up for a subscription. My card was charged before I submitted any of my my sign in credentials , now I cannot sign in . It really should not be this difficult to subscribe .

Glad to have on Mac!. I am really glad to have this available on Mac now but I would like to be able to view it full screen rather than one virtical page at a time. Either that, or I would like to have an online version that I can look at by logging into the AD website.

Conde: apply across the board. Beautifully done. Conde, please apply the vertical continuous scrolling to the New Yorker too!

Shocking new version. This version is terrible. You can only look at it in portrait on iPad. Not seeing both pages. Small fonts and you can not enlarge. Photos cannot be enlarged so often missing details. I am now reading it with my printed version instead of electronic. Absolutely useless and when is the next update?

Won’t link to print edition. As others have stated, this still won’t link to your print edition. Many people have reported this and they do nothing. Very frustrating.

Unstable application. Had to deleted 3 times after installation. Had issues in downloading issues. Many features which are making the application slow.

Ms.. I have to say - I usually prefer the feel of a print magazine. But, this app delivers and then some. The image quality is unbelievable. A nice addition to the magazine.

Finally here!. Works beautifully. Retina display and AD are a match made in heaven. Plus no more beautiful AD magazines I have to agonize about throwing out because I don't have the space!

Can't unsubscribe. I cannot login to the app to manage my subscription (unsubscribe). I cannot reset my password because it says it cannot connect to the server to process that request. I've called customer support who can't reset my password and said it was an Apple problem. I figured out how to manage my subscriptions and went to stop the auto renewal feature and the slider to turn off the feature is disabled. You cannot unsubscribe from this app/ magazine.

Agreed can not turn off autosubscribe. I will never sign up for another AD subscription again! AD will not cancel the subscription and their solution of logging into the app and turning off the auto subscribe does not work!

Gorgeous pictures.... ....but it looks like Newstand only keeps the latest issue even though I haven't finished the previous one. Can't find my older ones anywhere. Frustrating. Five stars if I can get my old issues back.

This app is not accessible for people who are blind. I have been trying for over a decade to get architectural digest and Condé Nast to make this magazine accessible for people who are blind and they have not achieved that as of yet. They are missing out on a large demographic. It is very disconcerting.

Really disappointing. This version of the AD app is extremely frustrating to use. It is way less functional than previous versions. Very difficult to navigate and hard to close an edition and move to another. It also doesn’t rotate on my iPad and doesn’t bring up the descriptions of what you’re looking at. Really surprising and disappointing that this is the best they can do.

AD no longer a pleasure to read on ipad. Worsening format changes make AD harder and harder to read/enjoy. Dense, tiny text that cannot be enlarged fills pages, photos are smaller, pages more crowded w/ a cluttered look. This used to be one of the view magazines that was more enjoyable in digital form. No more. I thought Anna Wintour had creative input here. Please fix this Anna! AD demographic are mostly the reading glasses set anyway. So are ipad users!

Ms.. Excellent!!! Visually, it's just as Brilliant as the actual magazine maybe even better! So much more I can do than the actual magazine in my hand.

Great Magazine App. I still get the paper copy. But I love the extra pictures and the ability to see the latest issues before it arrives in my mailbox as well as back issues I’ve long since recycled. The only thing that is missing from this app as a way to share articles from within the app. I wish I could share my favorite articles with my friends. Condé Nast, add sharing and I’ll change my rating to five stars.

Needs Optimizing. February issue takes too long to download, crashes repeatedly, and stops downloading when the app is not open. What I've seen of the issue so far is beautifully done.

Visually stunning. The visuals in this publication are excellent. All of the pictures are rich and near 3D in their resolution. The articles? Seems the folks are really impressed with themselves.

Almost impossible to read. The new version of the app provides no facility to magnify or change the text size, nor does it support the IOS dynamic text size. The text is too small to read comfortably. A huge step back and a real disappointment.

Terrible App for AD. No landscape view and can’t even verify my subscription information. Please hire a good developer

No more zoom capability - It’s back again!. I love the magazine but not able to zoom in on pictures anymore makes one miss important details. Being able to zoom allowed to look into small details, which are as important as the big picture, sometimes more as they all together make the big picture. I wish they would bring it back. I asked and was told most likely not; so sad. Update 2/2/20: They brought the zoom in function back, which is great. The magazine still has some minor glitches, especially when swiping pages or the occasional mistake of having the incorrect footnote, however, the content is always great. I love this magazine and will continue to get it.

Potential ~ Not ready for prime time. Have been subscribing to Architectural Digest since the 70's ... Wonderful publication. As we move into a new age magazines have had a difficult time. I hope you are willing to pay the price to make the digital version first rate! Keep trying, please. But you will have to excuse me now, as I do not have anymore time to devote to an endeavor that is not ready for release. BBK

New app just shockingly terrible. The new version breaks nearly everything. You can’t expand text or zoom into pictures anymore. The index is NOT HYPERLINKED now either, and the page numbers in the index DON’T MATCH THE PAGE NUMBERS. So, the index says 110, but you can’t jump there. You have to bring up the list of pages and scroll to page 110, but that is actually shown as page 108. If you go further, the discrepancy increases. It’s actually the worse magazine reader I’ve ever used, and for the last few years was one of the best. Crazy how lame it is, you have to really work at it to make it this bad.

The new style is not fun. Why did you have to change the fabulous format of the digital magazine? The new format is old, boring and one cannot amplify the pictures with two fingers, in fact, they took off that feature, leaving little pictures and a “demodé “ look. We are in the 21st Century, the old format was more high tech than this boring format. Let us have our magazine back to play with!

Something is awry. The app crashes upon launch. Seems to be incompatible with latest release of iOS. Also, the app support is unavailable. This needs to be repaired.

Unusable. I wish it were like actually swiping through the magazine but half the time when you try to swipe to the next page it does nothing and you need to go into the side bar and select the next page. When trying to exit or go to the next page you need to swipe up or down to make the menu button appear and half the time when you swipe up or down it also does nothing, they need transparent over laid buttons that are small and not in the way to help guide you through and go between pages, there should also be a zoom out feature that you can see ye larger image and a way to read with your iPad flipped horizontally.

Better than print!. Image quality is crystal clear, and the content seems even better digitally.

Beautiful!. Great iPad version of the magazine! Keep up the great work!!! (please don't change to PDF publishing like other titles do).

Train wreck. This app is a train wreck. The sign up process is kafkaesque, and when you finally do get into it the UI is utterly user hostile. One false move with your finger and you will be warped into a different article. Unless of course you WANT to go to the next article, in which case it someone psychically detects this fact and blocks your first 5 attempts. To top it off, this app is just totally unnecessary. Ever heard of a web site?

Zero. Subscription only gets recent magazine. To get older magazines you have to pay for Ad Pro. I called and did it on the phone. Ad Pro is for the archive on your browser. But it does not work? They told me there was a glitch and I should get in 5 days. Very disappointed with service.

Suggestion. Nice app - pretty standard as far as magazine apps go. I would love to see a Pinterest integration so that I can easily save images to my Pinterest account.

Architectural Digest. Although I enjoy thumbing through the print copy and of course being able to save it for reference, the visuals in the digital version are impressive.

Impressed!. Love how dynamic this magazine. Bought single issue because of low stars. Most seem to be print subscribers complaining, so thought I would try. There are links out to goods, extra photos, etc. A little challenging to get used to when to touch a button, swipe, drag, etc., but it becomes intuitive. Very happy I took a chance. Love it! As ana side, I wish I could get this easily on my dad's computer too. He is legally blind and we use a 42" TV for the monitor. He loves this magazine and a computer version would be a dream.

Still doesn’t link to print subscription. Links to reset your account password, or link print subscription are non-functional, as ever. .

I'm impressed!. I received the print edition and so I also get the digital edition. I downloaded one issue just o check it out and it was a treat. This is the future of magazines. The clarity and color of the images are so much more vibrant than in the print edition. Although I like the print mag, I love the digital version also. There are a lot of photos that don't appear in the magazines and I love the interactivity. The floor plans that allows you to explore, or alternate angles of a photos. It also looks great vertical or horizontal, and the content rotates to fit beautifully in either orientation. I'm sold! The only down side is that it's a huge file. 900mb for one issue. Please allow a feature where I can delete the pages I don't want so I can keep just the pages I want on my ipad. This will allow me to keep the issues on my ipad and not have to delete into make room.

Excellent edition. Loving this edition!

Ok. Layout could be improved

no subscription option. The app has no subscription option in the app. huh.

Difficult to navigate. Not a great app. Actually thought I subscribe to AD Spain but ended up with this. Only seem to get access to advertising. All for just 6.50 per month!

New version unreadable. The new version of the app is almost unusable on the iPad mini, you can only see a full magazine page. The text is too small and cannot be adjusted. You can no longer zoom in on photos or see them full screen. This app is obviously only meant for giant tablets. Very disappointed, have canceled my subscription.

AD. How do I get this stupid offer off my iPad? AD offer is stuck there and I can't look at anything else.

Great, but crashing. So far the app looks great! Great quality of images and I love the layout. One big issue though- it keeps crashing! Hopefully this bug gets sorted out soon.

Graphics are Fuzzy. Was anticipating a crisp, clean magazine, fitting it's purpose: architecture. However, the text is blurry and the images have fuzzy edges. I'll stick to my print edition for now, I think.

Just amazing !. Just Love architectural digest app!

Why can’t I click on and expand photos on AD iPad App?. I am a paid subscriber and can no longer appear to click on and expand photos displayed in the AD app on an iPad Pro, which is HIGHLY ANNOYING! Especially since so many photos are otherwise tiny or quite small and can’t be clearly seen at their displayed size. Whichever genius at AD decided this was a good idea, or is oblivious to this fact, should re-examine their career choice, and get up-to-date on current user design standards. Also - AD is getting ever smaller in terms of both content and advertising. Seems like a shell of its former self.

Do Not Subscribe. Do not subscribe to this publication, it is harder than hell to unsubscribe!!!!

This app is not working for me!. I am stuck in last month’s edition and can’t get onto the recent edition. If the app can’t respond, I would like to cancel the purchase. But I can’t even do that!

Terrible App. App used to be good now it is terrible Will not renew subscription

Can’t link subscription. This app provides no useful feedback for a simple account management function.

Imposible descargar. Estoy muy disgustada con mi compra

Navigational puzzle. Why is it so hard to navigate through the site. Left, right, down & up. Holy F*!! Someone fix this and make it SIMPLE, LEFT TO RIGHT OR RIGHT TO LEFT. It’s like playing a maze puzzle with your app.

Awesome. Beautiful, engaging, as good (maybe better) than the magazine.

Problems with my new subscription. I have paid 240$ for my subscription and the process is too complicate. Continuos errors on the sign in process. I have not been able yet

Crashes IPad every time I download new issue. Nice to have magazine on iPad. Don't like app that crashes it ever month. Getting tired of it. New Yorker mag works perfectly every week as does Vanity Fair & vogue. Please fix

Waste. A waste of money. I don’t understand what exactly I have access to for $19.99

Excellent. Works perfectly.

Crash. Can't give a proper review to a magazine app that continually says "cannot update library error occurred ".

Hard to read. The text is pretty small on a regular iPad. You should be able to enlarge pages as you wish.

No free trial as advertised. Says 30-day free trial. Actually assumes you pay full price for one year subscription. I didn't find any of the "free" part...

AD used to be the best digital mag — now the worst!. I used to look forward to the new issue of AD to read on iPad. It looked fantastic. You scrolled vertically for articles, could magnify most rooms, click to see captions and click for details to disappear, and the font was adjusted so you could read comfortably on your iPad. You could link to articles from the table of contents, and jump from article to article by clicking on a sidebar table of contents. Now it is as though Condé Nast just digitally uploaded the magazine page by page. No adjustment of font or layout. Good luck reading all that tiny text intended for a big magazine on your iPad with no magnification or zoom allowed! The helpful directions as you open the magazine read “swipe from right to left.” That is the extent of the app’s functionality. That’s all you are able to do once you are in the magazine. Want to revisit an earlier article when you’re at the end of the magazine? Hope you enjoy swiping through 100 pages to get there. Ready to close the magazine and revisit an old issue? I tapped and tapped but could find no exit function. I work with digital things all day and have for years and years so it’s not my problem— the English House and Garden share this problem. I had to click on the iPad home button to leave the magazine and every time I clicked on the app, the magazine didn’t open to the library with all the back issues — dumb business decision because I often have bought back copies in the past — but to that same issue on the page I had left. What’s going on, Condé Nast? First the July edition arrived a week into the month. But at least the magazine was a treat to read once it got here. Thanks for nothing, Conde Nast. I guess you are trying to save money by you are killing the golden goose. And will the celebs really want to share their homes with you if it means their homes are viewed with this limited app? The celebs do love their iPads. Doesn’t anyone at Condé Nast get that??

Difficult to navigate app. Extremely unfriendly app. AD needs to find a new web designer.

About time. Worth the wait!

most unintuitive and frustrating app I have ever used. most unintuitive and frustrating app. Impossible to navigate

Useless Rip off!!. Why bother with this app when it’s going to charge you eight dollars each issue where you can see this for free at your local public library. Oxymoronic!!!

App doesn’t work, poor customer service. Can’t download version from their app. Customer Service didn’t know what to do. Still no fix.

Unusable. I haven’t been able to read a single thing from this app. Complete waste of money.

App no longer working. I have not upgraded to iOS 7, but AD app not working...have tried 4+ times and I can only download the first 5 pages (advertising)...No thanks! Canceling iPad subscription right away!

Broken after update. Please fix.

Not interactive. Is it just me, or did AD go to just static pages? Very hard to read.

New version of app is Worthless. Unless AD quickly upgrades their new app I'll be a past-subscriber. Not only can I not read the new months magazine, but SEVEN years of digital issues are worthless to me.

Will Not Open. App will not open. Shows splash screen and then quits

New app is a PDF. The new app is a PDF of the print version minus the ability to zoom or click on links. No thanks. Just canceled my subscription. Condé Nast did this to Bon Appétit as well (canceled last week).

Not free avoid this (App). This is not a free mag. The free part is that you can download the ability to pay for it.......lame.

Architectural Digest September issue. Standout issue from cover to cover!

Navigation: left and right, up and down. Holy cow!! Which one is it?!. Left and right

24 bucks and doesn't open. Hopefully this will work soon, so far just a grey window for the fab January issue.

What's happening. Application was working fine but now it just crash each time I open. Fix the problem already it's been over a week now.

Impossible to read and no navigation features.. This app used to be good for iPad viewing. Now it’s almost useless. All it is is full page renderings. Low class effort by a world class outfit.

Crashing. I downloaded the issue and the app crashes whenever I try to open it

Someone deserves to be fired. The latest update to this app is the worst and is making me doubt if I will renew. I like the publication; however, there’s some incredible incompetency demonstrated.

Landscape. How do I get landscape view (to view 2page spread)? Also app is does not show up on my iPad (I have to open from App Store) please help me.

Can’t download any issues to my iPad. Terrible application you can’t download any issues to an iPad

Won’t download any magazines. I have paid for the subscription and it will not download any magazines.

Not optimized. App doesn’t support iPad Pro 11” full screen aspect ratio. Fix this and I’ll update my review.

No flexibility. I use a pad so I can zoom in on photos and unfortunately AD has changed tons static view. Das!

Unstable. Breaks on every page. Cannot see type down here.

Great. Great
