It's workable, but need to be improved. It works very well at both day and night with reasonable video quality. However, several bugs need to be fixed. 1) In the middle of the recording, if a phone call interrupts the recording, the video screen freezes at all black. It cannot recover record function, unless I manually delete the process. 2) The GIS information is quite outdated during the driving. 3) The speed information is totally wrong and useless.

I just wasted 2 bucks. So it looks good at first, while recording it shows your speed, position, map, elapsed time. But when you play it back all that it saves is a video of the road, no data or info is displayed. It's an expensive way to turn on your camera video.

Not satisfied. I tried the app. After a test run trip, about 10 miles l tried to view my trip the recording kept flipping on me and played upside down. Wasn’t able to fix the problem

Would be great!. I purchased this with high hopes. It does a great job of recording, however it will not save to albums or from my PC? I have emailed the developer with this problem and would look into this for me. In reading previous updates, this supposedly was fixed?? It is useless without being able to save recordings! I will upgrade my rating if it works as advertised. Update: I now have everything working great! Thanks to Sean Dong for all the help. He responded right away to find the problem. I needed to set my phone to let the App work as designed.

Great app. Nice UI and works great. Anyhow, would you consider adding an option to export videos with information like speed and position visible in them? And please increase the period of speed updates (at least every second).

Not what I had expected. I am a quite a bit disappointed. The speed doesn't update properly and also there is a lag in displaying. Please include the feature where I can save the video with the gps tag along with it. That was the reason why i purchased it. This app is buggy. Fix it soon.

A must to have for travels. TripRec is a very well build and very useful app. I like it very much and use it almost everyday. One suggestion, I'd like to switch between the front and back camera during the recordings. Thanks.

Does not work any longer. Does not work on ios 13.2.3 (17B111). Appears to record but cannot replay the video.

Cannot play back. Good app... but I cannot play back in the app itself, I have to play back from the camera roll after saving to my phone.

刚安装了，还没有路试，看看功能不错. 建议，循环的时间那里现在是90秒，建议在多两个时间，第一个90秒，下一个5分钟，然后是30分钟，这样好些，90秒的话，比如出了事故，第一时间应该不会想着去管它，等想起记录已经被覆盖了。

也该升级一下了. 录好的视频角上显示的时间和位置信息一会在左下角一会又在右上角而且还是倒立的，难道录之前还要先搞清楚手机该怎么放吗？这点很反人类。还有图标也够寒碜的，其它倒是没什么好吐槽了。这么久了也该升级一下了吧？

Works but…. This is great for a true cordless front facing dash cam. Lots of people have old iPhones that are no longer being used. The older iPhones work great as a free dash cam with better video than most current cams. You can use the magnetic smartphone window mounts to convert your old iPhone to a window mounted dash cam in a few minutes. The only real issue is this video recording app eats batteries fairly fast. However, I don’t leave any smart phone in the car or parked somewhere so nightly charging is not a problem. A great reuse for your old iPhones, especially the smaller iPhones!

Exactly what I wanted. Feature packed, works awesome. Mph is a little buggy but other than that I love it. Fix speed monitor and will rate strong 5. Update works wonders on 5.1.1 4s

Not working. When the app opens up I get no video. I messaged the developer on Twitter and got no response. Don't remember how much I paid but whatever it was it was a waste of money.

Freezes. Doesn’t work

Wasted $2.00. It look good, but for this price I pied, I should get moor future. Where is record report to tell me from where to where. That was what need it for me.

Nice app. But for some reason when the app on recording the phone gets very very hot also the speed indicator is not accurate, meaning when driving on 60km the speed indicator shows you doing 47km and it takes long time to update the speed to 60km This happens on iPhone 5 , 6.1.2 Regards

Great idea, Bad implementation (Version:1.5.1). I run an Executive/Protective Driving Service and I was very excited about this app, as it sounded to be just what I need. However, after using it for 30-40 minutes, it turned out this is just another great idea but bad/poor implementation. Hideous compression; after 40 min of usage my whole 5Gb empty space on my Iphone was gone. All the roads are unnamed and according to the TripRec I was driving 7.8 km with an average speed of.....1.4 km/h. What it was suppose to be a 10 km trip, TripRec was informing me I traveled about 76 km at 15.2 km/h average speed. I would have been out of business long time ago if the information would be true and accurate..... LOL!!! I am going to keep the app for a while, hoping the developer will make some improvements. Developer(s), give me a shout and I will try to help you improve the app. according to the needs and wants of a (hard core) professional driver and tactical driving instructor. You get from me two stars for the effort.

Great implementation. Of all the dashcam apps, I liked this implementation the best. You get video recording, but you can also switch to map view to see where you are. You can turn off the screen so that it doesn't distract you while you're driving. But tapping the screen again does not take you back to the app, for some reason. You can choose to include sound in your videos or not. I do recommend using the loop feature, because it doesn't do so well with large files. One thing that seemed to be missing was video stabalization. Maybe i just need a better mount. The other thing is that, even though I plugged my phone into the USB slot in my car, it still drains the battery. But that's to be expected with the amount of features simaltaneously in use. All in all, great app. Great implementation.

Stuck on landscape mode. I mount my phone on my dash vertically (portrait mode) and the camera can see out the front windshield. Older version of the app used to record in portrait mode but not the current version. Also ... I seem to recall the older version would run the background. Tried clicking on App Support link in the App Store and it just took me to twitter ?!
