The Nursing Log App Reviews

Just ok. It's nice to have an app that tracks every feeding but it would be nice to have a separate tracking for diapers. Currently as far as I can see, you just notate it- on the feedings. What about if it is a different time? What about notes if I supplementing?

Good ap. This is pretty good. Love the notes section. I use It to log bottles, pumping, etc, but wish it didn't count as zero time, lowering the average time. Also wish there was a charting feature. All in all, one of the best I've seen.

Best initiative breastfeeding tracker. Just before delivery I downloaded several apps to help me track my new baby's feedings. I was looking specifically for one that I could easily use with one hand and one that would quickly help me identify which side I nursed on last. This app is my favorite by far. Just push one button to start the nursing timer. The program is super intuitive in that when you push stop a menu opens that provides options for what your stopping- are you stopping all together or just switching sides? I also love that it tracks the time of the full session, but also tracks the length of time baby was really nursing. In other words, it shows how long it takes to nurse, burp, and adjust your baby. So you're aware of the time your really up in the middle of the night instead of just the nursing time. My favorite thing about the app is the screen button- perfectly modern. My only wish is that there was a diaper and sleep tracker to go with it!

Useful, but could be better. Basic log. Very useful for those 3 am feedings. The time since last nursing should be from the start not the end. I don't care when we finished, I'm feeding every 3 hours from the start (if I'm lucky). Would also be nice to be able to delete an entry. Other than that, it's easy to use & very helpful.

Mommy friendly. Super easy app to use, even while nursing! Easy to keep up with sides and times! It does all of the work for you!

Does the job.. This does the job for a free app but would be beneficial if users could log in and pull up data interchangeably on all devices (e.g. smartphone and tablet). It would also be more useful if the nursing counter at the bottom reflected the time of the prior feeding's start rather than end.

Great App for tracking breastfeeding. This is by far the best app I have found to track breastfeeding. It is easy to use. I like that it keeps track of the length of each session, the number of feedings per day, and also calculates the overall amount of time spent breastfeeding per day.

Good but...... I would really like to be able to change the start and stop times for when I can't get to the buttons right when I'm done or right when I start.... Also it would be nice to display the total mins spent nursing in addition to time at each sitting.

Keeps You On Track!. Great App and helps to keep you on track with all feedings. Has been a life saver for me, as with a newborn, there are too many things going on to be able to remember what side was last used, how long ago, etc.

Wish I could get this on my Samsung. Love this app but now I have upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy and can't get it. Please make this for the Samsung galaxy family too!

Decent App (that's cute to look at as well). This app is a pretty good app. However, the last time nurse should began from the last time you started nursing instead of when you finished. I like the fact that it allows you to switch sides while nursing and keeps track of that. The app was useful and was great considering it was free!

Please fix. The update broke the note taking section. You can't view the note when your writing it up please fix. Wonderful app to use.

Simple and quick to use!. I needed something easy to use with one hand...this is it! And uncluttered. If I could put a picture of my choice as background that would be really cool!!

Almost perfect. This is one of the easier apps to use for nursing. When I delivered and showed the nurses they were so amazed. I love how you can pause, edit, etc. the only thing it is missing is the ability to log or track dirty/wet diapers which is also really important with nursing.

Love it!!. Helps give an idea of when to expect her to be hungry again. Love knowing how long she's been eating and how often and the history is great to see how her feedings have changed. Would love to see buttons to track wet and dirty diapers too (instead of adding it in the notes) as these are questions the doc asks.

Best breastfeeding tracker I've used. I've tried a bunch of different breastfeeding apps and this is the best one I've found so far that's free, it does have adds and you can het rid of them if you purchase the app for $1.99 but I honestly don't mind the adds.

Great app!. Love this app! it's simple and easy to use. I love being able to note things. I'll add notes about amounts I've pumped or if she stayed awake. Just a few suggested changes. Feedings are timed from beginning to beginning, so the "Last Nursing" time should be calculated from the beginning of the feeding, not the end. Also it would be nice to see the time between feedings listed in the log. There seems to be a bug when entering a nursing. I have to enter it twice before it will register it.

Simple & easy to use. Very helpful!. I tried several different apps for keeping track of nursing times & kept coming back to this one. I like this one the best because of its simplicity. Does exactly what it's supposed to with ease. Open app, pick side you're nursing on and go. Easy to pause, switch sides, and add notes. Keeps track of time between feedings and average feeding times. Keeps a history of daily feedings as well.

One step from perfect. Simple design that's not bogged down with needless extras. Easy to navigate the single screen with one hand. This would be the catch-all app for feeding with one extra feature: a reminder alarm from the start of the last feeding.

Very helpful! LOVE IT!. I was looking for an app to help me track feedings. Not diaper changes or growth but a simple yet helpful app to track feedings. Those....is....it!!! I love that it logs each side separately then tells you the average time each feeding is for that day. I just love it's functionality and its simplicity!!

Helpful. This app is so helpful for first time moms who don't know how to track their breast feeding . It's just a click away & you can see how many times + average amount of time the baby ate for :)

One of the better ones. This is one of the best I've seen because it's simple to use and doesn't have a bunch of extra stuff. Also nice to look at. It would be nice to be able to add a note without a nursing, like a diaper change or something. Also, there's a bug when switching to the next day where I have to enter a nursing multiple times before it will finally save. Other reviewers have mentioned this bug as well.

Excellant. This is the best tracker out there!! Everything is easy to use, and convenient. I wish the stop and pause buttons were larger though. Trying to hold a squirmy baby and trying to hit the button can be difficult. Other than that I love this ap.

Confusing. Let's say baby is just finishing up nursing on the R side for 20 min & you want to log that. Open the app, R button is on the R side. You press it, have to go into edit mode to set start time & duration or stop time. Now R is on the L side of the screen & L is on the R side of the screen & there is some sliding bar that makes it look like R-sided feedings took place on the L. Sorry, I just had a baby 2 days ago, and I'm too tired to want to figure out that the bars on the L side correspond to my R breast & vice versa. What a weird programming decision. Deleted app.

Best App EVER!!!. This app is wonderful! A wonderful to have from day one on. When the nurses are asking every time they walk in the room, "when did the baby eat, how long, diapers??? " it is so nice to just read it all off to them. Great all around nursing tracker.

Love this app!. I use this app everyday! I helps so much to keep track of how long it's been since I fed baby girl last. Especially great when you go to the doctor visit and they want to know how the feedings are going. Highly recommend this!

Good tracker. I like the info that this app tracks and it's simplicity. I do wish the start, stop, and pause buttons were bigger to make using one hand easier.

Bigger buttons needed. Very easy to use just sometimes I have a hard time starting/stopping/pausing because the buttons are so small.

Very useful!. This App takes the thinking out of nursing! When you are sleep deprived, having something else keep track of time last nursed and which side you nursed from is so helpful! It's simple and easy to use. I keep track of pee/poop and medicine in the notes section.

Great app!. This app has been very helpful. I like that it tells me which side I left off on and how long it's been since last feeding. I can never remember! Definitely recommend it!

Best nursing app I've found. Easy to use, not a lot of bells and whistles, simple, straightforward, perfect for what I needed. Even allows for notes which us very helpful.

Very helpful app!. I just downloaded this app and I'm already glad I did. Nice 'stop watch' style timer with a pause button. And you can record diaper changes easily. All I need are the basics!

So easy. Very easy and nice! Love how I don't have to try to remember which side to nurse on next. Just wish the pause and stop button was bigger. Otherwise I would give this 5 stars.

Great app. Awesome app with great and useful functionality. Only add I might suggest is a reminder notice for next nursing session (ie every 2-3 hrs).

4 star, almost 5. So helpful! When you are nursing in the middle of the night, half asleep, it's difficult to remember which breast you ended on. Also helps you keep track of the baby's feeding patterns. I would have given this app 5 stars if it wasn't for all those annoying pop up ads while your using the app.

Great free app. Good and basic! This app does just what you need. I prefer it to those that store information online because it doesn't need wi fi connection to work. Also nice because they are not constantly asking you to upgrade to a paid version. There are ads constantly across the bottom of the page but they don't pop up and need to be closed.

How did anyone nurse before this app?. Amazing. So helpful in tracking feedings. I don't know what I'd do without it.

Much better before update. Adjusting the minutes after a feeding is difficult. It used to be so easy to slide the bar to the correct minute, now it just jumps all over the place.

Usable interface. I found an app to track feeds where I don't have to do several taps to get to the tracking screen! I don't use it for anything except tracking breastfeeding. I like that it allows me to view time since the last feed STARTED and it allows me to track times for both breasts in one feeding. What I would LOVE: I used an app that included a widget for the Today part of iPhone so I could very quickly see when the last feed was without unlocking my phone, and with shortcut buttons to get me to the feed screen right away. This is perfect when baby is hungry and I'm getting him on the breast quickly.

Easy to use. I've been looking for a app just like this! Easy to use and gives time from last feed and stopwatch for left and right which is great for me because I often forget which breast I finished last on thanks to being so tired!

Bring back the old layout/background!. I have been using this app as my sole record of nursing for over a year. The old version allowed background changes, the new v2 is bright white!!! It is terrible as it is hard to read and far too bright for night feedings. The new green icon is also confusing as it is the same colour as the apple message and phone call icons- the old distinct black logo was better. The new timer font and Left/Right buttons are larger, which is an improvement. Please fix the background in the next update.
