Momiyee. This app is great my 4 year grandson loves it. And since he's been learning to read, he loves when he gets all the words correct.

joyful. I like how the different ways that a child can choose the letter to finish the word. Last I like that a word is given and then they have to choose a picture to go with the word. The child not only learns how to spell the word and choose the correct letter to match the sound they are looking for to spell the word but they also learn the meaning of the word. Thank you for such a great app.

Great. Love the pictures and all the available options. Even older children enjoy play the two person option. They try to anticipate the answers.

Good variety. I am anxious to try this app with my kindergarten class. What I really like about this app is that it offers a variety of ways to learn words. Variety helps with the sustaining of interest.

Great app. This app is wonderful for my phonemic awareness group the kids love to play on teams and take turns pairing off to answer correctly first. The changing directions really keeps them on their listening toes too!

Awesome!. Very educative with nice images. Adjustments can be made for your child. My 5 year old loved it!

Lacks some basic features. While playing, you can not go back to any other menu such as home or settings to change anything. You have to exit the app, close it, then it will start at the home screen. It does a lot of basic three letter words well, but it would have been nice to have 4 letter words included as the kids get easily bored with the 3 letters. There is a button called adaptive play, but it doesn't explain what it does. Also, not real clear on how things are customized.

Wizard review. It would be better if the whole word was presented after either the beginning or ending sound was identified so the child could see the entire word spelled correctly as many children are visual learners.

Flying into reading. As a teacher, I am always looking for fun ways to teach skills that are foundational to reading. I like that this app gives my students practice recognizing beginning and ending sounds in an engaging fashion that I can also customize through the Settings. For my English language learners, the picture cue cards are a great anchor for comprehension and word matching.

Great app. I enjoyed testing this app out. My son loved playing it.

Love all the options. Great! Love that it practices so many skills, yet can be programmed to work on as broad or narrow a focus as you need at one time!

Good. My three year old son likes it but it could use more features. There is only one rewards page and they give out the rewards stickers quickly so it runs out of space right away. You can't put in a player name and keep the statistics. All that said, it is entertaining him for now, it is educational, there are no in game ads, and it's free. I'd pay for the options it needs though, this seems to have real potential.

Sound Awareness. This is great for phonological awareness - the kids really need to hear the sounds.

What Do You Hear?. Great for auditory processing and sound/symbol recognition. Kids love the pictures too.

Excellent for beg. Spellers. Love the ability to change word or letters to be spelled, and recorded! Allows for two players! Great thinking! Kids love building a rocket as a reward! Keep up the good apps!

Great app. I love how it switches between skills to ensure my students are paying attention and can discriminate between directives.

K Teacher. Great app for working with beginning and ending sounds. Players must listen carefully, as directions change within the game. The two player set up allows each player to control their own side of the iPad.

Great App. This is a great app for beginning readers. It goes quickly and gives rewards along the way. As a teacher I have first hand experience with teaching children to read. This app is great!

If you are a teacher... This is magic!. 2016 update: I really wish this learning game would get some development love. It really could be a perfect companion to Bitsboard. Right now even though the audio recording does not work anymore I still use it because it makes the learning a competitive and intensive game! Please fix the audio! Previous: I have been using little starts toddler for a few years now. I asked their support for a customizable word/spelling battle game. Now I can turn spelling and learning into fierce and energetic competition. English is a sport! Buy the way, this is the perfect companion to Bitsboard

Phonics practice with variety. This is a good app for practicing letter sounds. It has a number of different activities, randomly presented. Some easy some CVC phonics reading that is more challenging. The first few plays you may need to teach some vocabulary but don't let that stop you! I gave it five stars as my son has repeatedly played this app out of the hundreds he has access to. He is 4. Recommend for any beginner reader.
