Long time favorite. Still great on phone

Great. Best sci if magazine out there!!

Crashing. Crashing on startup on iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1

Good mag, ok app. I like the content of the magazine. The app itself is mediocre. The issue I read seems to be nothing more than a series of scans turned into .pdfs collated into a magazine. This is an opportunity to take the concept of the magazine to the next level, and most publishers are swinging and missing on this. The price isn't too bad considering how expensive sci-fi mags can be in dead-tree format. *** People! Do not give the app a one-star rating simply because the issues are not free. It's a magazine published by a real company, not some fly-by-night outfit. Rant over. ***

Great!. This magazine does exactly what it promises. It gives you great information on everything you could want in the field of entertainment. It isn't a "Star" or "Entertainment Weekly", but it is a very good source of information on what was/is/will be on all of the important and entertaining news that you could want. If that's what you are looking for, then this is the magazine for you.

Crashes. App now crashes immediately when you try to read a magazine. You can buy and download magazine issues, you just can't read them.

Efficient and effective for an app.. A must have app for the magazines in the library.

Frustrating. I've only bought two SFX magazines with this app but both times I tried to buy an issue, it gives an error two or three times before it finally gives in and downloads the magazine. And this second time, it immediately deleted the issue before I could even open it for 'memory' reasons. I have plenty of memory (well over 7 GB) available and I have practically nothing running in the background. How big is this magazine, anyway? It appears to have also deleted, without my knowledge or consent, the first issue I bought and it doesn't look like it will be able to restore it (it says that I only have one issue able to be restored so one issue is in the wind. It better not be the new one). For the one issue I was able to actually read, the magazine is very good but having to magnify and move the screen around all the time to actually read it made me seasick. I'm not impressed with the app so far but hopefully they can fix it. They have two strikes so far as I'm concerned.

Crashes. I'm unable to evaluate this app, since it immediately crashes each time I attempt to read the one issue I have downloaded in my library. Extremely frustrating.

Library disappeared!. My Prog, Total Film and SFX subscriptions have disappeared since the last iOS update.

Awesome. This magazine is grate very informing

Great magazine, mediocre app. I am running the app on the newest iPad and am quite disappointed with its performance. I used to subscribe through zinio, and wish I had stuck with it on that app because there is quite a bit of pixelation and loading on every page! It takes at least five seconds or more to load each page...I can equate it to watching a web page load on dial-up! Please fix this app or I shall not renew when my subscription ends (fortunately, I did not purchase a year sub!)

Great magazine, decent app. I love SFX and have subscribed to the hard copy for many years, but it's just become too expensive for an international subscription, so this app is a fantastic alternative. I like the fact that it's an exact replica of the physical magazine, rather than a related but different version like the Total Film app, and in many ways its actually easier to read than the physical mag. I have a couple of quibbles - occasionally it freezes when moving between pages, and the zooming can lose the plot once in a while, but a quick app reset always sorts it out. Overall I'm very happy to be able to read the mag as soon as it's available rather than having to wait for it to hit my doormat.

Brilliant. SFX is the best source in the world for news and reviews for Sci-fi film, TV, books and comics. Even with 3,245,859 websites in the world, SFX still has exclusives you won't find anywhere else. The app is nice and easy to use, but no frills.

So so. I was disappointed to not find any mention of shows like Continuum. Very fanboy. No, having one of your female writers discuss "the male gaze" doesn't make up for it. How about have some of your male writers speak out too?
