Cool application. Nice program to become educated about heavens.

Star Rover. It's a night sky that quickly and easily helps you verify the constellation and star locations of what you are looking at. Are there things that could be improved? Always - but it's an inexpensive iDevice app, what do you expect? It is, however, a great app for night sky enthusiasts - particularly urban ones.

Quality family app. This is a great app. It's great for spending quality time with my son. I highly recommend it for any time of the year.

Window into the night. Perfect app for the Pad....as many of us reside in urban areas with high ambient light levels, I can get out of town and into dark spaces and have my sky map in hand. Can't wait for additional features.

Really good. The app is great! The only things I wish it had are a setting to see constellation pictures and names at the same time and landscape compatibility. If you could add those, that would be great! Thanks!

Very cool!. Very cool app, you won't believe what's out there. Controls were easy to learn, you can zoom in on things, orbit speeds appear real time. Lots of fun!

Star rover is great. l really like it i cant find anything I don't like about it you can look at great pictures of galaxies and nebula also it can show you what stars are out that night.

Lightweight and Functional. Points out what's in he sky that you are looking at. No as heavy as the other star map apps.

Disappointed. I used a different app for stargazing when camping last week. I thought this was it, but it really was not. The other one is WAY better. Disappointed.

Very nice ap. This is very accurate. When you point your iPad at the moon, you see the moon right where it is at, same with all planets..

Great. I've been using this app on my phone and now on my ipad and find it great. Love that you can face a direction and the display turns with you to show what your looking at. Also like that you can show just the stars, or the linked stars in a constellation, or even a ghost picture of what the constellation represents. I am actually able to identify some constellations other than the Big Dipper now!

Excellent. Does what its supposed to do.... ...and very well. Needs more App store exposure big time. Keeps getting better.

Revolutionary sky app!. This is an incredible app. It's become one of the things I like most about my IPad, and I use it all the time. Although it's not a replacement for a traditional star atlas to help locate deep-sky objects with a telescope, as a tool for understanding the way the sky works and how the planets move, it beats old paper sky maps a millionfold. Moreover, it's extremely elegant and pleasing. I could spend a lot of time raving, but there are two things I wish were different. First, the apparent magnitudes given for the planets are not always accurate. I check Sky & Telescope instead. Second, zero-magnitude stars look pretty much the same as first-magnitude stars, and even Sirius looks the same. Fainter stars are shown realistically faint, but I wish the bright stars appeared bright. Overall, neither of these complaints detract much from this app, which is my favorite app I've found so far!

No Landscape Viewing. This app should be able to rotate with your iPad.

A Star. Does everything I expected and more. Easy to use, very intuitive. Now, the only problem is standing outside in 7° weather using it!

Great!. Awesome app for what it is. With my son and his telescope we spent almost four hours in the front yard learning about constellations and such and had a blast! Would definitely recommend this app to any novice astronomer. Works great.

iPhone version much better.. This has great graphics and location is a cinch but lacks any descriptions and rich explanations and guides that the Iphone version has. Iphone version rates 5 stars, IPad version half as many. Lucky to get three star rating

RA and Declination!. Information just pop out when you tap it hahah, feels so good. Love those details! Better than Star Light! But for some further galaxy and nebulae, they are just some pictures with clear edges. It's better to provide more information rather than just "credit" lol such as more pictures and distance and such Please add on horizontal coordinates for stars ~ It's better for observation <3

Star rover. Fairly good locator for most items, I usually use as an atlas. The iPad is somewhat unwieldy to use for me. Over all a most excellent app although I am one to need further directions.

Star Rover. I really appreciate and enjoy this app. I live out in the country and have a beginner telescope and I enjoy hunting for objects in the sky. This app makes it fun and easy to navigate the stars!

Great alternative to Google Sky Map. Just installed, so far so good. LOVE the real time tracking and star / planet / constellation labels. Constellation images is a nice touch too. Just used it to help my 2.5 year old son figure out what direction to look to find the moon (it was hidden by trees). Definitely a keeper.

Stargazing at its finest!. Ever want to know what that bright "star" in the sky is? Or what constellation that group of stars belong to? If so, this is the app you have been looking for. Sitting in the hot tub at night, or camping, or just out for a walk, you'll never need to wonder again! Great app for settling bets and amateur stargazing!

Best app for stars. I've tried a lot of the star apps and this is the best for the iPad. Easy to use and good for both naked eye observing and as a reference for telescope users.

Best astronomy app ever. Much better than SkySafari because it doesn't restrict the app's functionality with those hated additional in-app purchases. That's why Star Rover beats it hands down. Also this app is more detailed, has better UI and is better designed with much more detailed information--both visually and contextually than SkySafari and other lame competitors. The graphics are amazing! The developer(s) did a great job.

Starry starry night.... You can't beat this. Price and features are terrific. Moves easily through my planes of motion. Fun and very up to date. I'm an astronomy geek, and this app works great.

Great night sky app. This is a great app that anyone can use. Like what star chart started out (before it became WAY to hard to use). This one shows you what you want clear and concise.

Beautiful. Used it last night to watch/look at the "blood moon". Had looked at some internet information, but this app really gave me a beautiful view of the whole night sky! I've always wanted to look at the constellations, and I know this will be such a great aid. So much better than looking in a book, and then at the night sky! For only the first time I've really used it, I think I'm going to love it!!

Great for those housebound too!. This is a beautiful application for star navigation. Since it uses a GPS system you don't even have to leave your living room to see the stars and planets outside and above you. I just held the application up and it displayed the heavens!! Great for those who are housebound due to injury or illness.

SkyRover. Don't bother. In the kitchen it was showing some sky scene...who knows what, but it wasn't aimed at the sky. I've seen similar programs on others' phones and you could definitely tell what they were pointing at and see it on the phone and in the sky

Very Nice App. I have a casual interest in astronomy and work as a software developer but never took a course in astronomy just wanted to be able to point out constellations and planets to my friends and family. This app hits the spot, just hold the iPad up towards the sky let it use your location and it will let you know what you see in front of you!! The user interface is amazingly simple and very intuitive. I love how the constellation, and planet buttons work. A real handy star guide. I also love the pointer feature where it tells you the name of what you click on so you can look it up if needing/wanting more info.

Awesome. I love this app, I take it out with my telescope and it shows me what I'm looking at. Also love that I can point my iPad in any direction and the map will move automatically to what direction I'm looking at.

A real star. This is very cool and fun to use. Always want to know what is near this or,that star or constellation and is is easy to look up. Also help with images of the signs. Just fun!

Pretty good. Not the most detailed app for star gazing but shows the major stars and planets with drawings of the constellations! An overall good app!

Useful. Useful in identifying stars and planets in the sky, esp. for a novice stargazer. It substitutes for a fancy telescope. I love the ability to enlarge stars. It's all done in real time so you can see Mars slide off the screen as Earth rotates.
