Great way to start!. Love this app. It plays while I'm doing other things, I can also change the settings depending on how fast or slow I want the recordings. Excellent in pronunciation so you can really get a feel for the language while not getting overwhelmed.

Why I love this app!. I have been trying for years to learn Chinese! But I couldn’t find a teacher, so I had to rely on the internet. I tried so many language apps, but none of them actually taught me anything, or they cost money. There are many different apps just like this one, and each teaches a different language… and the best part is it is completely free! I would recommend this app to anyone!!!

Fantastic App Series. If your looking for a full formal language course or reference, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun progressive introduction to rote learning basic phrases, polite noises, and essential words, I haven't seen any better apps than this. It's customizable to your pace and learning style, and - most important to any language learning - it challenges you daily.

Text in NEMO is not clumsy. I like the interface. It motivates me to learn language.

Nemo Chinese. Very well made app. Lots of topics, different ways to practice and possibilities to customize the settings. I also like that it has traditional and simplified characters. It's easy to use and it works!

Thoughts on Nemo Chinese Software. My favorite Chinese language software apps are as follows: Hello Chinese, Rosetta Stone, and Nemo. Hello Chinese is best because: it is free; it is intuitive and lets one start mastering the language BEFORE one has mastered reading the pictographs; it fits nicely on my phone; it involves whole sentences in context and not just isolated vocabulary words on a page. Rosetta Stone is great because it is immersive and visually sumptuous, but it is expensive and does not fit well on my phone. Nemo provides one with random words to memorize, so it’s better than nothing. Actually, I like using all three apps, as each has its strengths and weaknesses.

One of the better apps for practicing a language.. Has some very useful features for practicing the words. It allows you to tweaks to how it displays the written language and what speed to say the words to you and when to remind you to learn. It also teaches you the most important words unlike other apps.

Not A Bad App But False Apple Watch Support. I’m a connoisseur of Chinese language programs targeted for foreigners learning Mandarin. This app is not bad and it offers Traditional Chinese character support (not always present in Chinese language software.) Big Issue: where is your Apple Watch App? You previously had it but it disappeared some months ago. You advertised this compatibility when I purchased your app and you still advertise Apple Watch support now. What’s going on? A Chinese language app with Apple Watch support is unique. Claiming such compatibility and not providing it is false advertising.

Amazing. This is an amazing app that is good for people to use. It is also helpful because it is not inappropriate for kids to use.

I love this app. Learning Chinese has never been so easy and fun. I'm happy to make the in-app purchase as well to unlock the entire library. I am practicing everyday and just set this in the background on loop. Words are read to me in English first, then read in Chinese after a few seconds so I have time to say the word aloud to see if I am correct:)

Very nice!. The only problem for me is the English reader seems to over power the Chinese Voice. The Chinese voice is good. But, after the Chinese the English voice is louder than Chinese. But, if lower the English volume. Then, the Chinese will be too low to hear. :-(

Great for learning at your own pace.. You can choose how many words to learn per day and spend as many days on those words as you need to. You choose how you want to learn them. Great to help you learn essential words and phrases, though it doesn't teach grammar (combine with ChineseSkill and HelloChinese for the grammar aspect).

Beginner. I just downloaded the app and so far so good. As I'm a beginner of the language, I really cannot comment on the accuracy. However, I like that you can record yourself and compare against the computer. Once I get some more practice and get immersed in the language I'm sure that I will be able to provide a more detail review.

Too repetitive. Many categories overlap, and it seems the developers quit working on this app so we’ll never see more words and diversity.

Super learning app!!. I can't say enough good about this app! It makes learning easy and lets you choose how much you want to learn at your speed. The fact it slows down the words so you can get the correct pronunciation is awesome!! You can search for words also. To learn more isn't too bad of a cost either, very reasonable!! If I had more hands I would give this app more than two thumbs up!! Excellent app!!

Extremely useful. Ideal for repetitions, with pinyin and corresponding characters if needed. It is a well-made app, worth the minimal $$ investment. UI is, importantly, very well thought through.

Language learning made easy - and quick. Now I'm even more excited about my upcoming trip to China. Wish I had a tool like this back in school because I had trouble learning German. The flashcards build my memory quickly. But I love the record and listen feature.

Best Chinese app I've found. I have a hard time picking up new languages but the Speech Studio feature in this app has proved invaluable for learning how to say a lot of basic Chinese phrases. Trying to match the teacher's accent is addictively fun.

Easy way to lean important words and phrases. Words are displayed in both languages and the pronunciation is clearly understood. Not to mention word combinations like Good and Very Good Thank for an easy to understand and use app

Great app!. I give this app 5 stars and it is definitely worth the download. I am learning mandarin Chinese and the traditional form of writing. There is a lot of great content in the free version. You can see the pinyin spelling along with the simp or trad form of the characters and it has a great feature that will allow you to record yourself so you can hear your pronunciation next to the recorded pronunciation. This is a huge help being that the tones are so important. Once I have mastered all the free content I will definitely purchase this app.

Excelent. I start use this app just now. I hope help me to speak basic chinese, until now, is excelent.

Useful.. Great app for vocabulary. You can set it to repeat the word twice and then the English. About 1200 words. I just set it like this then put the headphones and listen. I do the same with Korean. I would like a few more words but hey 1200 is quite a lot.

NEMO. This is an excellent way to learn Chinese it’s give control to the learner and allows you to work and learn at your own pace. It’s free to a point where you choose to increase you knowledge and even then the cost is minimal. A great course and as I was a trainer do have experience with educational training programs.

Nemo Chinese. I love this app. It’s well worth the small outlay in price. I can learn at my own pace both pinyin and character recognition. It’s simple to use and you can introduce new words at whatever pace you’re comfortable with. I also love the fact that you can circle specific words until you know them well enough move on to others.

So far so good. So far so good, by far it is the easiest app to learn Mandarin. I browsed the rest of the app and noticed it is quite expensive, at $17.99 for each stages of the learning program. Will see how I’ll go and will continue to update my review accordingly.

It's okay for beginners,but its useless for elementary or more advanced learners.I bought this product for phrases,but it gives thousandths of vocabulary words;there are cheaper apps out there for dictionaries with audio.Save your money,I think people overrated the product.Can I get a discounted price or a refund?

Not so accurate. It has some spelling and tone errors. For example 什么(what) pinyin is written shen me and in this app it was written shen mo.
