Pronunciation through drill and kill. This app provides repetitive practice with pronunciation support. You can quickly increase basic vocabulary with a few minutes practice twice daily.

It’s alright. Just basic phrases and words in a flash card review format. Could be better if it had grammar lessons but with Tagalog in any course that’s asking too much. It would be better if they moved the mic button or review slider.

Great to learn basic!. I have a Filipino fiancé and I want to learn her native language for her family. Although she speaks amazing English it’s only appropriate that I I’ll return the favor and learn her native tongue. I am thankful for this app to at least get me started in the basics to carry on minimal conversation and the rest I can work out with her. Thank you for providing this app for me and my future wife so I can impress her family and fit in more easily.

First time user. I like the app but seems to be draining my battery quickly.

Awesome.. I use every time I go out to walk and driving to and from work or on long trips. The native speakers are a plus.

Great app, annoying voice. This is a great app with tons of Tagalog content. However, the woman’s voice comes off as very singsong, patronising, and just plain fake/ annoying. I wish the voice talent were a little more normal conversation sounding.

Nice Beginner App. This is a nice beginner app to help me learn to speak Tagalog. The option to add more words in Tagalog as I learn them would be a nice addition.

Not much. This app is okay. You get a lot of words and phrases in Tagalog but also they leave a lot out. They also make you buy stuff if you want to learn new words than just the few they give you. You even have to buy to know nouns. Overall this app is okay, but if they take away the cost it would be awesome!!

Great for when you are starting to learn. It helps with the pronunciation real well because of the microphone recorder. I love everything about this app and will continue to play with it till I have a solid foundation, then I will make the language my own. Maramin Salamate po Nimo.

Learning Tagalog. I have met several friends who speak Tagalog. I decided I wanted to exercise my brain by attempting to learn a foreign language and chose Tagalog. My friends are musicians and my intentions is to learn enough Tagalog that I can understand what the lyrics of songs they sing in Tagalog mean. They mostly sing in English but have many beautiful vainglorious on video that I would like to understand.

Helpful, but to a Limit. Definitely a helpful app to jumpstart one’s understanding of Tagalog. It’s such a shame though that many of the features require extra money to unlock. Nevertheless, this app is a vital asset.

User friendly. This app has so much that it’s hard to say it all in a review. It’s inexpensive, thorough, accurate(thus far), and easy to use. Learned more here than I did at Rosetta Stone.

Super useful for learning the basics!. If you’re looking to expand your Tagalog vocabulary, this app is a must! As a second generation Filipina who didn’t learn how to speak Tagalog as a child, this app is helping me so much in my language journey! The app is easy to use and it includes many words and phrases that I know I will need to use on an everyday basis. I haven’t even unlocked the entire app, but I feel like my Tagalog vocabulary has vastly expanded. The app is designed to slowly introduce new words/phrases as you cycle through a stack of words. This repetition is especially helpful for memorization and familiarity.

:). I think this is a great app to help people learn. It is good that u can adjust the pace of learning to fit your learning pace :D

Great app. I have only used the free portion of this app to date, but plan to purchase the full version. It is easy to use, gives an option to learn new words each day, and at your own pace.

Great for beginners. So far I've been well pleased. I really like the fact that it pronounces the words for me and I can adjust the speed of those pronunciations. I fully expect to upgrade to the full app when finished with this one.

Fantastic!. I'm a second generation Filipino American and I don't know Tagalog! This has been really great as I try to learn my mom's native tongue. I'm just a beginner and this has been really helpful for me to get started. I like the format; it's well made. When I master all the free material (of which there is plenty) I will probably buy additional content. I think it'll be worth it!

Best Tagalog translator!!!. I have downloaded so many translators and have had the worst luck!!! Many others won't even open, others have crappy, inaccurate translations. This one speaks the words for you so you learn how to properly say it!!!

mabuti. nice format, so far so good i am only as far as the vocabulary i spend tim in Manila so i can comment that some greetings sound like the longer more formal version. is all great.

Best I’ve found. I’ve been visiting PH for a few years now after making friends with Filipino J1 students at work and this is the best app out there to help you quickly learn the basics. There’s enough free content to make sure you really want to learn and it’s cheap to unlock the full version. I spend most of my time in the Visayas, but most people seem to appreciate my attempts to learn a Filipino language. I’d really love it if they’d build a bisayan version of this app.

Im a beginner.. I downloaded a bunch of apps and this was the only one i kept. been using rosetta stone but i enjoy this a little more.

A lot of words are completely wrong. After an hour of using this app i found multiple words that the translation was completely wrong. Please fix, otherwise i may as well just get flashcards and get a book

Great app. Lots of content mostly accurate too. Some words and phrases could have been translated more directly but the translations provided are close enough to work. Functionality of app is great.

Learning!. Nice app, well worth it for starting- I do just a few minutes a day and I already know 100+ words after a month and I can recognize them in normal conversation. I upgraded to premium. One request: please make the temperature bar at the bottom of the screen bigger during playback drills. It’s a bit tricky to “grab” it without moving the whole flash card. Thanks!

Great App For Learning Tagalog. I have learned a lot of Tagalog by using this app. My fiancé is a Filipina and I needed to learn her language and this app has allowed me to do just that in a short amount of time. So amazing! You can learn as many words in a day as you like. I like hearing the words in Tagalog then the English translation right after. Greatest learning app ever!

Excellent for improving pronunciation and inflection. I’m a non-Filipino who married a Filipina over 30 years ago. I learned to understand Tagalog over the course of many years through observing/listening to conversations and even bought a couple Tagalog dictionaries and textbooks along the way; however, mastering Tagalog in a world where Taglish and text shorthand prevails is practically impossible. I found Nemo Tagalog as I was looking for a translator app for my Apple Watch and decided to give it a try without much expectation for success. After using it, though, I have been able to vastly improve my diction through the use of the record/replay feature to compare my spoken pronunciation against the apps’s voice (I chose Alex). In fact, my Filipino colleagues are very impressed by the precise pronunciation and inflections of Alex’s voice, so I feel completely confident that I’m speaking correctly now. Maraming salamat po, Nemo!

Amazing - Very highly recommend. I’m marrying a Filipina and we are planning a trip to meet her family in the spring. I downloaded 5 different apps to help learn Tagalog in preparation, hoping to impress my new in-laws. A couple of them were barely usable and another two are really little more than dictionaries. This app blew me away with the amount of features and was of use. A few I’ve found most useful are, a practice player which introduces new words on a daily basis at a pace I can set. Right now I have it set to 6 but you can choose the number you’re comfortable with. Prior words are reviewed with the English word, then an automatic recording me saying the words, followed by a Tagalog speaker allowing me to compare my pronunciation. The player cycles through the words continuously for as long as you want. There is a temperature feature that indicates frequency of practice for each word so I can select what to focus on. There’s a reminder feature to prompt me each day to practice and tracks my progress. There is a long list of voices to choose from. Speed settings for the pronunciation. Ability to focus on words related to specific topics (e.g. food, dating, transportation, etc.). Really this probably the best language learning app I have used. Better than Duo Lingo, Rosetta Stone, Babble, etc. My fiancé is amazed how well my pronunciation has developed and we are able after a month’s use to hold some full conversations in Tagalog. Can not recommend this enough!

Very good format. This has worked great for me. I use this every morning and have found the repetition and slow addition of additional words very effective.

Great app!. I have been using this app for a couple of days now and I am addicted!. Leaning Tagalog is so fun and easy!. I am utterly surprised how fast I am learning. The only drawback from the app that I must say is that I wish there more sentence forming phrases but that is about all. I will definitely be purchasing the full version because it is so cheap!.

For beginners. I like the fact that it will pronounce the Tagalog words for you and slow it down for a better understanding. I hope to eventually get up to the ability to have a conversation.

A Note from an American born Filipino. I love this app. It makes learning Tagalog easy. I find it an excellent way to learn the language and connect to my heritage.

Great for learning key words and phrases. This app is great for learning words and phrases, but not so much with learning grammar and sentence structure. If you want to learn Tagalog composition, I recommend the Mango app. Besides this, my only other complaint is that the Tagalog speaker is really annoying to listen to. It sounds like she’s speaking out of her chest and makes her sound...mentally impaired. They could have found someone more pleasant to listen to for the Tagalog speaker.

Well designed. I downloaded this app, and by the second day of usage I bought the full version. It's very helpful, well organized, and provides a wide range of words/phrases in Tagalog.

Missing a lot of words. It's ok, but it's missing a lot of words that my friend who was born in the Philippines uses, like gwapong, aking, patay, and many other words that Google Translate knows. And why does the app hide the keyboard every time I clear the search phrase? So annoying to constantly tap in the Search box over & over. Very simple changes could make this app so much better.

Love learning this way. My Pinay wife will repeat words for me only so long. However, my phone or tablet will repeat words or phrases indefinitely. This app is excellent!

Great!. This is great for beginners! I can customize it to my learning style and speed, and I easily figured out how to use the app.

Really Helpful for Study. After, day by day review of the words and pronunciation. I am getting the hang of remembering and trying to speak the language. This has been a very helpful app as I am going on a Plane trip to the P.I. for the first time. I wanted to at least understand a got set of words for conversation-wise.

Learning is an opportunity. Being part Filipino I find it very beneficial to learn the language. Since I was brought up learning only English, it’s imperative that I at least speak Tagalog.

Maganda! (Awesome!) But.... This app is awesome and has really been really helpful in teaching me Tagalog, I’m a Second Generation Filipino American, and I don’t know much Tagalog. Very useful app. I find this app extremely useful in learning Tagalog. I could only go to 4 stars as I think it is missing one huge feature and that is the ability to add local phrases and words to the app. I have used this for a while now but I have noticed that here in the Philippines the Tagalog language can be very localised and where I live quite a few of the phrases and words in the app are just not used, another word or phrase is used in the local dialect. Apart from that which I understand is almost impossible to account for I enjoy the app.

Full version / new phone. I already purchased the full version on my old phone and now that I have a new phone, although same Apple ID account, it hasn’t kept the full version when I re-downloaded the app. I only bought the full version which was almost $20 about 6 months ago. Please let me know why this has happened.

👍. Great introduction to the language. Has been very effective. An easy way to learn essential phrases. Would be nice if a lesson guide was included that would explain grammar "rules" for the language. Or perhaps a dictionary/translator. Very happy with this as a starting point though.

Love it. It's hard to find good Tagalog language learnings apps. The automatic flashcards make it especially easy to learn through repetition.

Good app but. Some of the pronunciations are off and translations are incorrect , it's subtle but nonetheless, my wife who is from the Philippines corrects me and the app all the time.

Incorrect translations. I've downloaded this app to practice my tagalog. My mom is born and raised in the PH, specifically the Bikol region (Bato, Catanduanes); she speaks bicolano & tagalog. I've noticed when going through this, the translations were incorrect. Which isn't good at all when learning any language. I suggest you to find an native speaker to help your tagalog.

isang problema. after a day or two when looking back at the words i studied under "words for today" everything before the current date would show "this list is empty" this has been a problem for all of my nemo language apps
