Great app for Czech!. Heading to Prague for third time in 12 years and try to pick up more Czech each time. This app allows me to practice daily ( with helpful reminders) and the ability to record my own voice to play back to check the accent is invaluable! Learning Czech? This is the app!

Good way to learn by itself,. But this app really comes into its own when you pair it with language texts or better yet, language classes. The repetitions, number of new words and phrases it introduces, and doing everything with audio helps tremendously to develop your pronunciation and ability to understand a native speaker. It falls a little short when it comes to the finer points of a language’s grammar and syntax, which is why I really recommend using it in combination with formal texts/classes. But it offers a ton of features, customizability, and value by itself. Highly recommended.

Excellent!!. The hands-free option is excellent: it takes a dozen words and repeats them over and over, every few repetitions adds a couple new words. Or there’s the option to choose a specific category: shopping, travel, basic questions, etc. The free version is just enough for a tourist to get by. The way the info is presented & taught through repetition almost guarantees you will learn the language! Definitely recommended

Very effective.. This app is great. The way it is formatted, it seems to help you retain the words relatively quickly. Bear in mind, you won't be having deep philosophical conversations with people in Czech after using it. But just having gotten through half of the words and phrases on the app, I'm quite certain at this point I could get around Prague and speak with relative confidence. Looking forward to finishing the app before my trip this November, and I'm quite confident that I will be able to speak with people about general things and get around well with the language.

Like others have said, this is the best Czech app!. I've been using this for quite some time now and I'm extremely pleased with it. The "flashcard" mode is great, and it auto plays so you can use while it while driving or while doing other various things without having to interact with it. It also has spaced repetition, which is fantastic. Basically, if you've practiced a word a lot, it won't show up as much in the flash cards. It will give you new words to practice instead. The pronunciation is great as well since it's an actual human recording. I used the free version for a while but found the app so helpful that I went ahead and purchased it. There's also a list mode in the app so you can view all the words in your library and listen to them as much as you want just by tapping on them (initially, I found this to be the most helpful). There's also a search function, which is very useful. The app is very well designed. Thank you for a great app! You guys rock!

Velmi Dobrý!!!. My grandmother is what sparked my love for my heritige which is why I got this app. It’s so well put together and I love how it has native people speaking it so you can really practice the accent! I love being able to talk to my grandma in the same toungue she used when she was a child! The app is great for when you are driving or doing chores cause you can put it on flash card mode (or other ones) and I just rolls right through, going over words you already know and teaching you new words at the same time!! I would easily recommend this to anyone wanting to learn Czech, or any language since my friends have used the Spanish version and the Turkish!

I would have never thought I'd be trying to learn a new language at my age now. This is a very effective learning tool. All my life I grew up concentrating on speaking Spanish, but I have a trip coming up to the Czech Republic. The way it's designed is very easy and fun to use. I can't wait to show off my skills.

Get it!. It’s got everything you need to get you by without spending a penny. If you learn everything and think your ready to learn full sentences and how to phrase properly then the unlimited package is cheaper than the other apps so yes it’s must get for beginners.

Heritage. O love it because (first of all)all I'm a Czech my self and would be happy to learn any Slavic language, but also because it's just so easy to use. My only problem is that I set it to 3 words a day but it's staying on the same three words. :/ Other than that it's great! P.S. Its Czech and I like anything Czech

Meh. I always get a kick out of language learning programs that list "How are you doing?" as a basic question. Really now. Anyway, for the free version there wasn't much.

iOS 13. The player stops after about 20 minutes. Can this be changed to play continuously?

Learning Czech. I like the crystal clear annunciations of all words. I have tried several programs but this one has the clearest audio. Learning many new Czech words.

Excellent app. With daily practice, this app will help you have fluent conversations in no time. I like how it focuses first on phrases you will use everyday such as "Hello," "Thank you," etc., so it is very useful to use for practical purposes if you are in Czechia.

Best free Czech app I found. Slick app, well designed, good voice-overs of words, more than just random vocab unlike memrise- can select what types of words and how often you want to review them. Very customizable. Only complaints- I wish there was more variety and combining of language (like in duolingo) such as images, typing translations, speech correction, etc. Also, the free version is such basic language, you must pay $10 to unlock most of the content. I haven't done this yet, so can't comment except it looks like I'm missing a lot.

User friendly and enjoyable.. This app is pleasant to use. I like the memory map a lot. My 4 yr old daughter figured out the flash cards quickly, including the record function. The scroll function on folder groupings is difficult to control. Songs sung in Czech to aid memorization might be a nice bonus feature.

Too Good. This app, even the free version, has all of the necessary phrases and words you need to know, nothing you wouldn't use in everyday life. Full version really helps you expand and improve even more, props to Nemo for such a great app!!

Excellent for the Tourist. I find it great for learning survival and intro words. It took only a few minutes to get familiar with the program. I use the favorites feature to build my own practice set of words.

Most helpful. Better than a pocketbook because you can carry it in your phone and always have correct pronunciations available. You really need the full program if you're in the Czech Republic more than a day or two.

Very practical. I was in desperate need to learn a few words and phrases orally before leaving for Prague and this app delivered. Love the way it sends reminders every day to study a little more! Good app. Although I haven't been very dedicated to learning Czech, I found this a good traveling companion. This app has the best format and clearest pronunciation of the three I toyed with.

Great little starter app!. My grandparents spoke Czech growing up, and I've just begun my own language adventure. This has been helpful in refreshing/building on vocabulary and I'm using it in conjunction with YouTube videos that help build conversational skills (can I plug Czech for Gary here? She's delightful.) The app is simple but effective, and though it doesn't cover more than words and basic phrases, is nice to put on for practice while I'm working or driving. You're able to control the pace of prompt -> translation so that you can accommodate your own thinking time and I appreciate the variety of categories it includes. It's a great way to dip your toes in the water - do recommend!

Nemo Czech. Very helpful. Reminds me daily to learn the number of words I have chosen. Good pronunciation of each word and phrase. Good vocabulary. Good app!

Great for studying on the tram. I would like to see more grammatical variety, like verb conjugations. And maybe examples, especially for words with multiple translations.
