Teaches kids to read and spell. I got this app for my little cousin and she absolutely loved to play with it. It's an educational app and it's split into writing, reading and tracing games. It is very entertaining with nice graphics and sounds which is what I think makes this app so effective. If you have a kid who needs to learn reading and spelling you will definitely love this app.

My 4-year-old's favorite new app. I have a 4-year-old who loves spending time on my iphone, and I constantly try to find a cool but educating app for her, but I always struggle. Most apps have lots of ads or just clunky. This one is pretty nice. No crazy ads. There are multiple games that she can play, she loves the tracing game a lot which I believe is helping her writing skills. Highly recommended for parents with little kids.

Two thumbs up. My son loves spending time with the spending and tracing games. He likes the animated monkey a lot and keeps asking me her name. In the settings you can pick uppercase and lowercase which is nice. Matching game is pretty cool. Sounds of the animals are realistic. Overall it is one of the most educational kindergarten apps in the app store.

Great and educational. I downloaded this particular game specifically for my younger 5 year old brother. I tried out the game first to make sure it worked well and what an amazing application!

PERFECT for young learners. If you're looking for an excellent way to teach your kids how to read, write and spell, you've found the right app. I love everything about this. I took an in depth look to give other parents the scoop on what they can expect when downloading this. There are some sounds and music that can get a little annoying for one who is trying to get some work done while my child was learning using this app, luckily the application has options where you can enable or disable sounds and music, an awesome feature right off the bat. The options menu also allows parents to change the length of spelled words to create more or less of a challenge for their learner. When first opening the app users are able to choose their character, and begin learning through selecting either the spelling, reading, or tracing (writing) category. Each category is amazing for kids learning, and repeats letters and even has a motivational character to encourage your learner to continue. Tracing the letters helps teach early writing skills by forcing learners to keep within the lines of tracing. Overall this app is PERFECT for any child trying to learn to read or write!

Very cute and educational app!. I downloaded this app looking for a cute and educational app for my nephew, and this was a great fit! The app is very colorful and has cute animations. There are three options available: tracing, matching/reading, and spelling. Each game has audio feedback to help the child learn to match the letter’s name and appearance. The app is very simple and easy to navigate for young children. They can easily choose which activity they want to play. The app teaches both uppercase and lowercase letters, which is very good. The only qualm I have is you can’t turn the sound off (or I couldn’t find the option for this). If you want to use this app in public, it would be very difficult since the sounds can be a tad annoying. I think this app is very well made and definitely keeps the child in mind. The graphics are cute. For example, when you spell dog, a dog appears and barks. I think this app is a great educational and fun app for kids! Great job developer! Just add an option to turn off the sound, and it would make this app perfect!

Bad pronunciation. Hasn't anyone noticed that when a kiddo pressed the "s" is says "a@s" instead?!? Not ok!

Shameful opening screen. This app is ruined by its shameful plastering of 12 advertisements on the opening screen. It warrants a poor rating until the developers eliminate this exploitive solicitation of impressionable preschoolers.

One thing I don. I like the game and so does my son. BUT the only thing I don't like is that the opening screen has so many other games that you can buy along with the "start>>>>" button. So, my son who is 3 yo. looks at all the pretty pictures/colors of the other boxes and touches them first if I am not looking or his arm might brush over one of the other boxes and it takes him to internet screen of the company that makes the game to purchase another game. This is frustrating when he is playing with my ipad and I'm not looking b/c he thinks he's at a new game but he's not. Unfortunately ALL the games by this company have 8 to 10 solicitations for other games on their opening screen and a very small "start" button to push to start the game.

game mode. In the game mode, your task is to match all the icons of the animals to their written names. The game has three rounds. To keep children motivated, the best score is calculated at the end of the game, so that children can aim for their better and better scores to be saved in their personal hall of fame.

Another great Abby Monkey app!. Couldn't be more pleased - this app is reinforcing what my son is learning every day, as a matter of fact he's able to read and differentiate between two small words (he'll be three the end of November) - and this, along with other Abby apps, has helped tremendously. I'm a very pleased parent!

Bad tracing instruction. I wish I had not wasted my money on this app before realizing the bad habits the tracing portion was. This app teaches children to use three different strokes to create the lowercase M, which should only be one fluid stroke. I'm surprised how many good reviews are on this, clearly it's not designed by an educator.

Terrible opening screen. My daughter enjoys the game but like was already mentioned in a previous review the opening screen is covered by seven 'ads' for the developer's other apps in addition to the 'start' button. I can accept this in a free app but in a paid version it makes no sense. The developers have obviously never tried to let a toddler use the game in testing. I could never purchase another app from this dev nor can I recommend buying this one. I would probably rate it 3 stars without this screen and worth the $2 but I'd spend my money elsewhere first.

Constantly crashes on iPhone. The tracing game was not functioning and became unresponsive so many times. Had to restart iPhone 10 so many times when trying to use this app, regrettably I purchased it. I want my money back

great for kids. Ever since downloading this app my kids have been entertained for hours. they are actually excited to play on this app and its very educational. Its nice to be able to know my kids are having fun while learning!! highly recommended!!

Awesome app, my children are in love with this one!!!. This app is the best for any parent. Who rates these apps?. I got this based on the high reviews. Very disappointed. This is not a reading app. Children learn to read through pronunciation of sounds, not reading letters, which is what this app teaches-reading letters. Additionally, the spelling portion previews the letters so the child simply matches letter to letter, requiring no thought. The montessori app is much better. It teaches phonetic reading, makes the child actually spell the word without showing the letters, etc. I don't think this app is worth it.

Great!. Excellent concept. Real good fluidity between games. Keeps children interested. Wish the letters and the dotted line in the tracing game weren't the same color. But overall great app.

Teaches bad habits. It makes them pick up their finger when tracing the letters so they end up learning to write the letters incorrectly.

Great for teaching spelling and laying the foundation to read and write. My wife bought this Kindergarten Reading, Tracing and Spelling app for our daughter last month and we couldn’t be happier. It’s worked wonders at keeping her busy while we handle business in our home office. The colors are bright and exotic, which she really loves. Not only is the app very entertaining and aesthetically pleasing, but it stirs up an excitement to learn. Your little ones will learn how to spell as well as practice their penmanship and actually writing letters out. My daughter loves shouting the letters through the house and chanting, “I did it!” after successfully drawing her letters. She refers to playing the app as “homework” and asks to play it all day. It makes her feel like the older kids so she loves it. Don’t you want your child to be excited about learning and homework? Or do you want them to be the class clown in the back of the class? The Kindergarten Reading, Tracing and Spelling app will lay the foundation for your child to start reading and writing, early. After a couple weeks of playing, my little one was able to write out her name on paper. I’m so excited for the future with her. She’ll already have a leg-up on the competition when she starts preschool. Please, do yourself and your little one(s) a favor and download the app, now!!! Good but first screen terrible. This app is great for letting toddlers work on letter recognition and word matching. However, I was really disappointed with the first screen that pops up every time my child chooses the app. It has the word "start" that needs to be touched, which is fine, but it is surrounded by much larger (more colorful and exciting) squares which lead you to the app store to buy more apps. This formatting is worse than the candy in the checkout line. The app designers need to be a little more subtle and take a hint from their competitors. I am considering deleting...

My 3 year old loves it. My 3 year old loves this app. He chooses to play it over other non-educational games which makes me happy! I like the letter matching, repetition & encouragement the games provide.

Highly recommend!. This is a must have app for all parents teaching their kids to read. It is important that children receive some form of education outside of school, and reading is one of those essential skills that can set a child up for success or failure. Fantastic!. Great game!! It is great app for kids who are just learning their letters up through kids who are actually making those letters into words! You have three modes—Tracing, Spelling, and Reading—and can set the app to only uppercase letters, only lowercase letters, or a mix of the two. Tracing is excellent for toddlers—each oversized letter is showcased with an animal whose name starts with that letter (Ant, Bee), and bright circles guide the child’s finger along the lines. When the child is successful at tracing the letter, Abby the monkey zooms out and gives positive encouragement. Spelling and Reading are more geared toward kindergarteners. With Spelling, your child sees a jumble of letters paired with an animal and is told to spell the word. With Reading, your child matches the animal to a full word—and this should be especially enjoyable because of the range of bright, exciting animals, from cows to turkeys to anteaters. Recommended to parents who are looking for a wholesome, educational app for their child that makes learning letters and reading exciting and interactive.

Amazing for out of school and in school learning!. Wow! I have to say you’ve done a mighty fine job yet again on this one! Another one of your app my daughters enjoyed, a lot! I would first like to say that you did a great job at incorporating not just one activity into this app but three! Which they cover Spelling, Tracing and Reading so that a child learning or even new to the alphabet to help them along a lot further, I know my child personally loves and prefers and to use either the iPad or iPod which she is usually constantly on, but turning the alphabet into a game was a really smart way to really get a child to interact and learn the alphabet! With that said this is an app that I would really recommend but not limited to home schooling parents because this app really helps the learning curvature due to not seeming like a chore rather a game which keeps them a lot more interested in learning itself, I say not limited too because I don’t home school my child but it really helps her along with learning not only at school but after school! I can see though schools around my area are starting to take interest into digital learning and getting more children to use certain apps as well as using books, which I would highly recommend, not completely removing pen and paper but incorporating app usage as well as it. So I just wanted to post a review on my thoughts of the app and to say a big thank you to the developer for making it! Thank you!

As a teacher, not impressed with the tracing. The app is fine for the price. But I am very disappointed with the tracing part of this app. The capital letters is ok, but for lower case, there should be an option to turn off the directional aid or the aid should allow the child to eventually do the tracing in one movement without lifting their finger. It is not assisting the child to make a smooth drawing of most of the letters, which the child will eventually need to be able to do. I also found that the spelling moves to larger words far too quickly. Overall not a good app to allow a child to independently practise their skills.

Another amazing game for Kindergarten👍👯. What a great way to combine having fun and learning. very friendly UI for kids, my daughter will do any chore, just to let her keep playing the game after, that's how addictive and fun the game is. As a parents I will recommend it to any parent with Kindergarten kid. it offers a lot of fun games and lesions that you can't resist .👍❤️

Great game. My daughter loves this! She's great at putting the letters in order. Would gladly give 4/5 stars if it weren't for the main page of ads. I paid for the full version so as not to have the ads. My daughter is able to select her own games while using the iPad but doesn't know enough not to click the giant links on the main page that take you to the app store... So if I'm not careful she can purchase anything she wants if my password has recently been stored. Please take the ads off the full version and I'll redo your stars.

High quality educational app for little ones. A great app for kindergarten age children to learn letters, spelling, and reading. My daughter loves playing each of the 3 games and is learning something new each time she plays. Kudos to the developers of this game as it is very well designed.

Letter sounds?. The description states that letter sounds will be worked on in this app. I saw no evidence of letter sounds being used, nor could I find a setting to turn it on. I think the spelling portion is great for my classroom unfortunately I won't show it to my students as they are learning to associate letter sounds to letters not their letter names.

Great app for any kindergartener. The app is laid out beautifully. The ui is very friendly for little children. My son loves the app and will do practically anything to spend more time on it.
