Fun game. This game is a fun one while helping you to use your brain. I think bc it's timed it makes you push harder than normal and sometimes that can screw you up. Really fun though

60 y.o. Brain Trainer. I’ve read that routinely doing math problems in our heads doesn’t just keep those skills sharp, but can perhaps reduce our chances of developing dementia - at least as early as we otherwise would. I like the more scientific approach this math game takes. Being able to see my times for various kinds of problems in hundredths of seconds makes it more fun to keep challenging myself. And finding something that motivates me to keep exercising my gray cells in a fun way is Very Cool. Thanks developer guy.

Worth it. Math Racer has helped my third grader get ahead in math.

If only it would work.... I purchased this app for my 7 y/o son. The whole added value of this app and the only reason to buy it resides in the ability to store scores/time, therefore pushing your child to challenge himself by trying to do better next time. Unfortunately, despite being told by the developers that a fix was getting imminently pushed out, this feature is currently NOT working (you cannot enter your initials at the end of each round). I will update this review if things change. The other misleading feature that I was sold on was the ability to customize your level of difficulty. By that, I thought it meant being able to choose from subsets from which to operate on (i.e level 1 using numbers from 0 to 10, level 2 from 10 to 100, etc..) but what's offered within the app is just the ability to choose the number of questions for each test (you can only add/subtract/mult/div numbers from 1 to 9). This was truly disappointing as it gets boring very quickly.. I wish the developers spent time sizing up the functionalities offered proportionally to the price asked for (which is very high for a basic calculator).

great app. sometimes just a game is not what I want. I like this app because it makes me use my brain --- everyone knows the saying....if you don't use it, you'll lose it. Great for keeping those math skills active. thank you so much.

Best math speed drills. This is exactly what I've been looking for to help my 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grader speed up their math calculations!!! As a bonus, they can work on speed reading (glancing at multiple numbers at a time) too! Both skills I learned so well having grown up in a Taiwan private school and having the pressure of preparing for high school/college entrance exam.

Great app for speed drills. I plan to use this to help my little one in math. I’m hoping with spaced repetition, it’ll help store the problems in his long term memory. This way he has quickly access to it as he advances in math.

Great Math App for my 3rd grader. This is a great app for my 3rd grader to practice random math equations. The only thing that I wished it could do is allow me to select specific numbers for her to work with like multiples of 7 and 8. I will update my review in a few weeks when I start to see improvement in her math.

Fixes. This app is great! However with the changes in standards across the country in math each grade level has fluency standards. If you could select levels of addition or subtraction within certain facts would take this app and put it in every classroom. For example kindergarten only needs to add/subtract within 5, first is within 10. I hope to see this change soon.

A very good game.. My daughter was a bit gun-shy about playing. Then she noticed that there was a timer. She didn't like it - at first. They have a goal in their class to be through a certain number of problems. The idea of 50 problems was too much. She did ten in 38 seconds. Then I told her if she just was 2 seconds faster, she would be doing them at a rate of 50 every three minutes - the class goal. While I was looking, not so much happened. Then a day later, she came to me to show me her score- 23 seconds. She was pretty proud and happy!

Amazing game. Math Racer is a very fun game to do school math like adding, division, multiplying. It is very great for kids😄😁

So Far So Good.. I bought this so that my fourth grader could practice his math facts. I like this because it deals with straightforward math facts with no gaming distractions. Also, being able to keep track of high scores, keeps the whole family engaged. The missed stats are very helpful as well. And yes, it was a bit pricey for an App, but if it keeps him from from having to be tutored, then it will have been well worth it.

Missing "Level" - Yawn Factor - too easy. Crashes on every launch on two different iPads. This is almost a great app, but certainly NOT WORTH THE PRICE, because: - no "Levels", such as easy, advanced, etc. - no ability to store each person's/players results to see progress (kids wants this) - no option to type in answers (another challenge setting) - no time race scoring, i.e., how many correct in 60 seconds with deductions for wrong answers. Because of the above, the game wears out its novelty very quickly. It could be so much more, but my first grader is already bored with the + and - game as it is too easy for him.

Great! Only lacks two things.. This app is loads of fun to test how fast I can do random equations. I can even choose weather that is addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. However, I can't choose to test my multiples of 7, or divisions of 8 - both of which I'm significantly slower with than other equations. This app would benefit from being able to test specific numbers, like ordered flash cards. Also, it would be cool if I could choose a user's slowest equations and only do those - so I can get better at them. Maybe both of those could be fixed by being able to make custom tests. Otherwise, a great app, minus the expensive price.

I realize it's all part of a scheme to rake in dough, much as the rest of life and the world is, but nonetheless I very much appreciate the free offering of something that will support the cognitive development of children. At least children whose parents or school districts are flush enough with cash to have disposable income for things like iPads.

Great App. This a fun app. I downloaded it so that I can keep my brain sharp. It is so easy to use. My only complaint is that it quits on me sometimes after I finish a round.

Great App. Each user can enter their own initials like in the arcades to keep track of high-scores and game details like exactly how long each problem took and which problems were missed. All user misses are tracked and organized to highlight areas for improvement.

Best Math App Period. Seriously buy this I'm 21 years old I'm far from stupid but I got bad habits when I was a kid and never stuck with math it embarrassing when you are trying to do math and can't add or subtract people's money without a calculator or on your hands I'm optimistic about this app and it really helping me to be quicker and correct in everyday situations.

AWESOME. I was really struggling with my math facts but then I got this game! This really helps! Even if it’s not that fun it really helps.

Wonderful. I started using Math Racer today with my first graders using addition and they loved it. The directions are easy to follow and the children enjoyed trying to beat the clock with successive games

Easy and productive. Used this app to help my grandson learn his multiplication tables. I used a challenge with the timer that was very difficult for him and if he was successful he won a prized model 1952 Chevy pickup. It took him almost a year to master it but he kept at it and now has my beautiful 1952 Chevy pickup. Now his sister "wants" to do multiplication too!😄

Love it so far. I have been playing for a few days and I love it so far! It's nice to brush up on math skills and it asks do you want to post to Game Center in case you are a lil embarrassed like some of us. I also love that you see all of the answers and yours along with how long it took you to answer.

Amazing help to improve the cognitive, and arithmetic brainwork!. I've been needing to find a math quizzing app to help keep my arithmetic up to par! I've been so tired of going to my calculator to find out simple things like 2 + 5 when I'm just so lazy to do it in my head! I'm most certain that My brain will process not only numbers but other subjects more cognitively and quickly. It's certainly a great way to keep my brain active!

Keeps the brain ticking but crashes. Good way to stimulate the brain but after the game it crashes and kicks you off. Annoying because you need to keep going back in when you're dying to do the next round or see you score. Please fix this and it would be awesome.

Keeps the mind sharp. The random questions are easy enoough not to be taxing but it takes a lot of focus and concentration to correctly answer the questions. And of course no two games are ever alike so it has that “just one more go” to try and better a best time - which is incredibly rewarding

Pricey!!. I got this on free app of the day.. It's a fun little game, but it really doesn't *teach* you anything, if you play often, it may help you memorise, but it won't teach you. I would definitely not pay 8 bucks for this game! That is a pure rip off and from the description, I would expect more.. Different kinds of math quizzes.. Shooting questions at you, with a time limit and a score board, just isn't worth 8 bucks!

Great. Just want kids needs. Kids (in the West) today have one problem in their mathematics education: they don't practice fluency in calculation any more. But more and more studies in cognitive science show that such fluency - effectively knowing your times tables and more - is necessary for an understanding of more complex mathematics and essential for success in the STEM disciplines. This little app is perhaps the only one out there that does just this: it trains your speed at recalling the answers to basic arithmetic problems. Get it, highly recommended. And developers, please keep up to date for newer iOS versions!

Great app!. This app is awesome for drilling addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. I set it up as a competition, never seen kids so eager to drill their tables.

Basic but helpful. It's helping my kid learn her arithmetic skills. This app could be improved three ways: o Letting the user choose the range of numbers that will be used to build the questions o Logging in with a username and re-using the failed questions more often than average and dropping off questions that are mastered. o More rewards like virtual stickers and animations for participating and achieving objectives. As it stands today, it has helped improve her skills and speed, but she's not drawn to this activity.

Excellent. I am supposedly an engineer but I cannot swiftly do even basic arithmetic. This app lets me practice whenever I have a spare minute. Best thing ever and I am now less afraid of doing calculations in my head in front of others.

Okay, lots of potential. This app has a lot of potential. I don't like that it exits you out of the app as soon as you enter your initials on your high score. Then you have to go back and restart the app. Really frustrates my nine year old daughter.

Brain Boost. I have always been very good with numbers, since retiring I've found that I don't use this skill often and as with anything..."Use It Or Lose It". This is my first step toward that goal of not losing it. =)

Awesome. This app is awesome for improving the speed with which you answer math questions. My son needed to get faster at solving multiplication problems and this did the trick and he likes it (more than a lot of the "fun" kid themed math games I purchased). Highly recommend

Bad at math. I'm very bad at math but I am competitive. This app helps me challenge myself. I have fun trying to beat my time and score and keeping track of my progress. Great & simple app that works and is fun.

great. i'm on an iphone 3 so it crashes often when i rush pressing buttons for things such as entering high score OK or going back to look at misses but it NEVER crashes while in game. :) a mode where you can answer questions forever for fun would be cool or even an endurance marathon mode where you keep answering til you get one wrong (maybe impose a few seconds time limit per question..) heck you could probably charge a dollar for a few extra modes if someone wanted them good app, i would pay money for this

Math Racer Review. Math racer has really helped me in school! Now I am able to complete math equations faster because I can remember so much form practicing my multiplication and division using this app. You may think you bad at math, but your just lazy. If you practice with math racer your sure to be successful.

Fun!. It's a good way to waste sometime while keeping your basic math skills up. It's also fun to compete with people for time. Wish it had fractions though. Make it a little tougher.

Thank for Job. I wanted to push the limits of human ability and find out how quickly people can answer 10 or 100 basic math problems if all barriers to that task are removed.

A bit pricy... Good app tho. This is a really great concept, and the app seems to work quite well... So kudos to the developers for that! However three bucks should get more options like difficulty levels... sounds, etc. Other apps are just as good and cost less.

Math game . This is a wonderful game to play if you are just starting to learn your math skills or if you are long out of school and want to keep your brain sharp I also think you should include money skills $$

Good App. I played it a couple and time and enjoyed it. Something to keep the mind going and try to beat your own time.

Mr Double Twins Dad. This program really improved my kids basic math knowledge. Both their speed and accuracy have improved allowing the to concentrate on concepts instead of the basics. It would be even better with 11s and 12s.

Great math program!. Tracks multiple users and gives useful data so you can see what needs work. I would have given it a 5 star rating if you could set some more customized parameters for the quizzes.
