Worst streaming app I’ve ever used. Can’t stream longer than 17 seconds at a time without pixelating the video. Makes watching games extremely frustrating. One down out of an entire drive is crisp viewing. We’ve tried all the suggested fixes we can find, nothing works. No device we own is better than another for this app. Yet no other device or app has any problems streaming! It’s to the point where we will now Uber to a bar and watch our game without sound rather than *hope* we can watch in the comfort of our own home. It’s 2019, and this is a billion dollar industry. Get it together, Sunday Ticket. If this was a free service I’d still be disappointed. Having paid for this? Now we just feel stupid.

App Did Not Work On TV. While the app worked on my laptop, it did not work on my tv. I tried contacting support through the online chat and nobody responded after 30 minutes. Called the 800 support number and waited for an hour and hung up. Terrible customer service given the fact I paid good money for the service. Would be nice if someone got back to me. However, I doubt you will based on your lack of service yesterday.

Location issues Says I am near a stadium and I couldn’t be farther away.. Never had this issue till today the start of the 2022 season. Now I am being told I am near a stadium and am not allowed to stream. I am 80 plus miles from the closest stadium and never had this issue before and I am pretty sure I didn’t move. Cannot even find trouble shooting for this issue. Cannot wait till Direct TV no longer has control of this. I don’t have a TV in my home office and have to watch the games on my iPad. Looks like that is no longer possible. What a joke. For as much as this service costs we should be allowed to watch it anywhere we like.

No longer functions. This app no longer works. I have a brand new iPad Pro. My internet speeds are stable and fast enough (180Mbps). I have restarted the app and iPad several times. The app is completely up to date. The result is that the app doesn’t stream. The games are in an unwatchable quality and after just a few min they crash with an error saying that they cannot stream right now due to an error please try again later. Well it’s week 6 and it is still “encountering an error”. This same thing happened last season with the original iPad Pro.

App not working… really bad and couldnt watch my matches on Sunday!. Connection issues and getting resource unavailable error. None of the matches work in the app. Horrible experience with NFL Sunday Ticket this season so far. They should give the money back. Two weeks in a row had bad experience and couldnt watch matches when needed. This is one day they need to plan well for and directv sunday ticket failed to deliver

NFL ticket. I've been a customer for over 25+ years and I love DirecTV. One criticism I have is that we never seem to get a break on service for our loyalty. I see advertisements waving NFL ticket to new customers but, what about us who have been paying full price for several years?

Bad app, awful customer service. If you have an issue with the app, and have to call customer service, expect to wait a half hour, talk to someone, then be sent to another department to wait another half hour and then explain everything once again. The app has glitches galore and many problems.

Horrible App. This app is great when it works. I don’t know how multi million dollar company is so okay with putting a product that just does not work. And don’t even attempt to fix the issues. Try to watch any of the games after signing in and it says “resource unavailable.” None of the games showing. The most recent reviews are fake. Because there is no way they are the only one’s with working app. Their review definitely screams “bot.”

Airplay doesn’t work this year. For some reason the airplay doesn’t work this season. Only get an error that states there is an error loading this content and try again later. All other apps on my device can airplay fine...only an issue it’s this app. Tried several devices and apple tvs with no success. Even deleted and reloaded the app with no success. Please fix the airplay!

Shortcuts are messed up!. This week (Sept. 19) in the app … you click on Shortcuts and you get 3 minutes of Highlights. You do not get the 30-minute full games. This has always worked in past. I love seeing all the plays. I hate just getting highlights. Please fix. This has been a 5-star app … until now. Thank you. (Worked last week and last year. I have been a Directv customer for 2 decades.)

Nice interface. One problem is having to log out of a previously used device before allowing access to another device. Why can’t a logout happen when signing into a new device? Not having that functionality is the only negative. Thank you.

I am ready for footballlll!. I have used DTV to enjoy the League where they play for pay since 1993. As a Big Blue fan who moved from NY to Cincy for work going to a bar every week made no sense so for me I have loved watching the development of the Ticket! Keep Up the good work DTV!

Doesn't work anymore. I was using the app until recently when I open the app now it immediately says there is a newer version and to go to the App Store to update it. I go to the App Store and it is the current version. So I launch it from the App Store and still while loading I get the message there is a newer version. So I can't open the app now, nevertheless watch the games. What a waste

Bugs Make App Worthlesd. OK, it is Two Weeks in a row now the App has “crashed and burned.” The app froze and ends with a message that “resource unavailable!” Lucky I’m getting this App for free through my Direct TV subscription. If you are paying for it don’t wast your money and time. The NFL obviously hasn’t worked out the bugs in their App, even though we are on week two of the season. This is totally unacceptable.

Needs improvement. Here are a couple of problems that need to be fixed: 1) Add option to turn off instant highlight alerts. These alerts are so late, they’re useless, so I would like to turn them off. 2) Make the app more stable. It often freezes and I have to do a hard exit and restart of the app to get it working again. It doesn’t handle multitasking very well, so I would rather just have that disabled. Update: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get rid of the INSTANT HIGHLIGHT ALERTS! They are driving me crazy with their bad timing!

Even Better This Year. Got this app for the 2016 season and it was good but it had issues with picture quality and buffering and loss of audio sync. After the first Sunday of the 2017 season, I can say that those issues have been extremely minimized and the app is working better

When it works its good. Unfortunately, they often have maintenance updates on sunday for some reason. Currently can’t log into the app because they going through ‘system’ updates so I can’t watch football. What a joke. For the crazy amount you pay for 17 days of football, you would expect it to work those 17 sundays.

Great for Tracking Games and Fantasy Players. Excellent supplement to track other games with RedZone and a an easy way to track your fantasy player stats.

Terrible service.. The picture is always fuzzy, lagging, or simply saying “this video is not working right now, please try again later.” I have tried the app on MULTIPLE strong WiFi networks and it still doesn’t work. The fact that they advertise all games every Sunday and then don’t show a lot of black out or out of market games is just STUPID. Not worth my time or money in any way as the app does not work. You also can’t watch on a computer, it has to be a device like a phone or tablet. I’ve tried to use the app dozens of times and I have never been able to get a clear picture and watch a full game all the way through. Don’t waste your money!!

Needs a way to disable auto play. I need this app to not start blaring an ad for THIS APP WHICH I ALREADY HAVE when it starts up. It’s called a toggle switch to disable auto play. Look it up, all the cool apps have one. Also if you need me to update the app put a button on the screen to DO THAT. Again, check out the cool apps, they have figured this out already.

Terrible - pop-ups showing plays before they happen on their stream. Super frustrating. Every key plan in the game you are watching shows up as a pop up explaining what happened BEFORE they show you the play. Stupid. DirecTV is terrible all around. This is just another example. If there is a setting that can turn this off, great, I’ll go find it now that it ruined my first game with the app. Awesome. Thanks, clowns.

Although I like Sunday ticket. Look at how many games are blacked out every week that’s my main contention it seems to me that the more outlets that one can find their team the better it would be for the nfl the only other thing I hate is not being able to share accounts or log into multiple devices at the same time with a paid account

Awesome if it worked, but it doesn’t…. For the second week in a row, coverage worked for part of the game, then cut out. After the first quarter of the 1pm games, service cut out with messages like “resource unavailable” or “try again later”…. Unable to watch any games right now. Sunday Ticket is very expensive and the only reason we have DIRECTV at all… I’ve been a loyal and patient customer of DIRECTV, but if the Sunday Ticket streaming doesn’t work, I no longer have a reason to deal with all of the other headaches and outages that come with being a DIRECTV customer.

Great way to football needs a few minor adjustments. Love the app, I like being able to have multiple games going within the app! I would love to see the ability to slide boxes to the larger spot, and the stats for players doesn't seem to load stats realtime...only an issue for Fantasy players like me

The Best App for football. At first I wanted to play my panthers game when I moved to Chicago. I put on the TV and it only showed the Packers game. I was confused and then my mom told her coworkers said just download Sunday ticket it is free. Then I hooked it up on my device so now I can watch the Cardinals, Panthers and the Bears now. One more thing if it is blacked out then you can watch it on the television.

NFL Sunday Ticket Review. I would give it five stars if they had the game mix like they used to. It would be nice to pick more than one game to watch. Also, it would be nice if you could use the app on more than one device at a time.

Sunday ticket saved my life. i live in an area that never ever shows games I care about. And it is always on with sunday ticket. I apple play it to my tv and its perfect. thanks for this service. well worth the price to me. 3rd year.

Don’t waste your time!. Got the app. After three days still can’t get service to use app! Called NFL Sunday Ticket Customer Service and they transfer you to AT&T. AT&T says its not their problem and send you back to Direct TV. After three days, multiple conversations with NFL Sunday Ticket & AT&T rep their conclusion is “we can’t help you”! Other interesting item is Direct TV web site you must use to get things setup doesn’t work and provides error messages. For developer. Doesn’t matter if you use IOS or Windows system, same problems occurs. Apparent its a coding problem as the web site one uses to select plan doesn’t complete final execution. What I found amazing, is there’s absolutely no customer service to resolve issue and the fact that NFL Sunday Ticket, Direct TV & AT&T pass you back forth and points to bigger problem existing between above groups. Would of assumed a brand like NFL Sunday Ticket would of figured it out by now!

Unusable. This app is good when it works, but it’s been completely unusable for the last two months. Every time I log in, I get an “unknown error domain” message. I know I’m not the only person experiencing this. I’ve called DirecTV and they had no solutions and blamed it on the developer of the app, which, I hope you’re sitting down, is DirectTV. They said they’d email me when they found a solution. I’m still waiting on that email. I’ve updated, uninstalled, changed my password, etc. and nothing has worked. I used to love few things more than streaming games on my iPad every Sunday. Since October, that’s been impossible. It’s frustrating when something you pay for doesn’t work and no one offers a solution or remedy to the situation.

Football. The picture is darker than when the tv is in normal mode. Also the audio is behind by about 1 second. I know, nitpick. I can live with both. Enjoy

Would like a split screen option. The app is really well done and I have no complaints with the interface. It all works really well. My only complaint is the lack of ability to multitask with the app without my vision of a game being partially impaired. I think adding multitasking capability would be a really good idea

Sold a lie about how many devices will work concurrently.. I had Sunday Ticket for many years on DirecTV and loved it. We own two homes and have DirecTV in one, but we aren’t permitted to have a dish in the other. Last year, I suspended service for a few months while we were away from the home with DirecTV. And of course, Sunday Ticket wouldn’t be available to a suspended account. This year, I was told by DirecTV rep that i could access Sunday Ticket app from up to 4 devices CONCURRENTLY. This sounded great so i could set up multiple TVs and my iPad with Sunday Ticket games while away from the where the dish is. So i bought it and have kept my DirecTV account active. To my surprise and disappointment, it will only work on one device at a time. I won’t be renewing SUnday Ticket and now will also be suspending DirecTV service when we are away from the one with the dish.

Awesome!!. NFL Ticket is a must have for football fans! It is great to be able to watch any game but esp if you live in the part of the country, where they seldom show your favorite team. And love that you can use it on mobile devices. Love, love, love this!!

Too Many Restrictions. Great app, but too many restrictions. Some games blacked out on Sundays. Thursday night games not available, Monday night games not available. Let’s make it all inclusive, no hidden gimmicks! Thank you.

App does not work any more.. The app stopped working on both of my iPads 2 weeks ago. When I try to login, I get the message “Sorry about the interruption. We’re addressing the problem ASAP.” This has has not changed for 2 weeks. It works on my mobile phone, but it will not work on either of my iPads, after working fine the first several weeks of the season. 1 Pad is on iOS 12; the other is iOS11. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Same result. It’s unacceptable for the app to be inoperative for 1/8 of the season and counting.

Won’t let me login. After registering using a browser on a Windows PC, I completed the purchase of NFL Sunday Ticket. I then downloaded the app for my iPad, and tried to login. There is an error message, “the user and password are not recognized.” But I can still login to my account using a browser, and my account summary shows that I should be able to view live streams of NFL games. So, this is a fail.

Why so difficult?. Why do you make it so hard to purchase your product? Have you not realized that satellite dishes are obsolete? You could just raise the price if you are trying to not get new customers. Oh wait, it looks like you’ve already done that. I’ve had NFL Sunday ticket for years but as soon as we moved into a house we are no longer to watch Sunday ticket via streaming? Our landlord will not allow a dish (not that we’d want that on the house) but if you don’t live in an apartment community we are not deemed worthy of streaming NFL out of market games. Seems like a bad way to do business.

Not worth it. Hands down worst app possible. The app lets me sign in on the tv in the living room, I sign out then go into my bed room an try to sign in with the exact same log in information and the denies me. Makes no sense. Also the black out games don’t make sense, towards the end of the season they black out games that aren’t on regular cable. For the money they charge I should get every game available. Not worth the money they charge

Sunday ticket app. You guys should open the app up for anyone who wants it. Whether they live in a direct tv area or not. Tons of my friends are jealous that I have this opportunity and they don’t cause of where they live. You guys would make more money than you knew what to do with if you got rid of area restrictions.

FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS for this?. Paid my ridiculous fee for out of market NFL games. Week ONE. House full of people to watch Dolphins/Titans game and it streams for exactly 60 minutes. Then switches to the Giants game and stays there. No explanation. Apparently the billion dollar DirectTV organization was waiting for little ol’ me to inform them they’d dropped their broadcast. They’re working on it - unfortunately the entire third quarter is at least history. This is the problem with these monopolies - consistently crappy service and glitches, and customers have nowhere else to go. Comcast is even worse.

Great to be able to watch my games without having to go to a bar. You should be able to watch on more than one device at a time. I get it that they don’t want you to let others sign into your account but if you are using the same WiFi network you should be allowed to put on more than just one game.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. IT DOES NOT WORK - HELP!!!. They updated the app and now I can’t log in. The email I received said to delete and download again. I have tried it five times, still nothing. I tried changing password and log in - nope. I have tried it on my iPhone, my iPad, and Apple TV, it just won’t work. By the way, if you want to contact customer well good luck. There is simply no way to contact them. But hey, they took my money so good for them. Writing this review is my last hope. PLEASE Directv fix this issue as the games are starting tomorrow.

Great for watching the Rams in Brooklyn. As a long time Rams fan in Brooklyn, this service is essential. I couldn’t watch them otherwise. This app is super easy to navigate, and awesome visually. You get score updates, and can watch any game outside of your market.

Won't work on iPad Air over cellular. Why I keep throwing away my hard-earned money on this crappy service is inexplicable. Aside from all the previously noted gripes, this year the app now won't work on my iPad over cellular, only if on wifi (never had this issue in past). Crashes instantly if I try to open it on the iPad, but then if I try to log in on my iPhone it gives me a message that I'm already logged in on another device and to close the that first! But I can't get the app to open on the other device to begin with! What a f%#?$ing piece of garbage. Oh, and don't even get me started about trying to understand the fluent English of the really helpful people on the customer service line.

Poor Service. Horrible Service - the games stopped streaming and there contact support number sent me to AT&T who had no idea why I was being routed to them - their chat box didn’t work, sometimes did not allow you to send notes, and gave no useful info - often it sent us to inactive sites. Impossible to get ahold of someone who could help - when am I paying over $300 for no service and no product?

Only one log in. It’s great to be able to watch every game every week, but in a day where the other major sports apps, as well as all streaming apps, allow multiple simultaneous log ins, the NFL refuses to do so. Rhetoric BS is always the answer which is provided, but in reality, it’s a superiority complex. The NFL should really get over itself and allow multiple simultaneous log ins or directly come out and say they won’t. Quit insulting our intelligence.

This doesn’t work. This app boots me out every Sunday . I complain to direct tv , they don’t have answers , I have to wait to Sunday to see if it works again . Mostly it will crash within the first 30 minutes and I can’t log in again . Then it works on Monday when there’s no games . I want direct tv to give me a rebate , I’m not getting what I sign up for

Worst App for Stats etc. Seriously you get the bare minimum of statistics in this app. No player-by-player stats, just team, and even those few leave much to be desired. There's no rewind feature, or "go live," nor pause. It's like this was made in the '90s internet days when all you got for anything were bare bones. It really makes one reconsider getting Sunday ticket next year. Comparing this to MLB At-Bat app is like comparing a children's you model of a space shuttle to the real space shuttles. Or more appropriately, like comparing Kansas University football to the New England Patriots.

Excellent app on the go or addition while watching at home. This app works excellent on my iPad. It is a great bonus for watching Sunday NFL ticket as a 3rd device in my room which I have to TVs setup. This also works great to if I am away from home and can catch up on the games. At times there may be some lag and some permissible delays, but that is to be expected. This is a live tv stream and cannot rewind as though you were at home. Possibly NFL rule but it is in the agreement. The app provides in picture option is great while looking up stats or fantasy football in others app which allows you to go back to the games easily. If the app is the only availability on Sunday to the games because you are never home, then this app will not provide the full experience. This may not be the best use of your money. Otherwise it is a great bonus.
