Denon Remote App Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Better than it was and pretty good overall. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the remote. It is a little slow and not the most intuitive. That said, the quick access interface is useful and the app itself seems a lot less buggy now (June ‘18) than last summer. I think there was an update. I’d use this free app before buying one as it suits my needs.

Functional. Nothing to rave about but does its job. To people having issues with it not finding reciever, i had same issue in beginning. After hair pulling experience with hard wiring to router not fixing, finally solved with ip reservation. For some reason denon renews ips even on new models causing apps or ios not to see it. Make sure your reciever is hardwired and a designated ip through your router.

Worked well then stopped working. I had this installed on my iPhone 7 Plus and it worked flawlessly. A month later, I’m unable to use the app. It will open and then it immediately returns me to the home screen on my phone. When I check to see what apps are still open, it’s there. Clicking on it opens it but then takes me right back to the home screen of my phone. Restarting my phone doesn’t fix the issue and reinstalling the app doesn’t fix the issue. My receiver has the latest update. Truly puzzling. It’s a great app but if I can’t use it, it gets 1 star.

Stopped working mysteriously. App worked fine before the latest update. Now, the app attempts to open, then force quits to the home screen of my up to day iPhone XS. Puzzlingly, the app shows as active as a background process, showing up as expected when app switching. When attempting to switch to it however, it will disappear. Attempted an uninstall/reboot/reinstall and upon successfully opening the app, it won’t detect my networked and static IP’d receiver. Pitiful and sad. Used to be mostly functional, if a little slow, but it’s 2019 now and customers EXPECT correctly implemented integration with their devices. There’s simply no excuse for this. That’s what you get with a third party dev, I suppose. Denon needs to step this app thing up as the world is moving quickly toward app integration rather than juggling remotes for functionality.

It’s good when it works. Here are the issues. 1) The connection between the receiver and the app on deeper applications very occasionally goes to sleep. (Pandora/Spotify for example) Switching between screens on the app can wake up the connection, but if you are still seeing issues, unplug the receiver and boot it back up. A pain? Of course. But I suspect the receiver software is more to blame than this app. 2) Denon’s software on the receivers is flakey. When the app is completely unresponsive, crashing, etc., it can usually be fixed by unplugging the receiver, giving it a minute to think about its’ naughtiness and plugging it back in. Just how quirky is the Denon OS? I had to reset the unit and setup my surround system all over again after accidentally signing out of an audio streaming service. 3) The app UX could improve, but now that I’ve learned it, things are better. I only just learned I can customize the buttons on the app. So yes, for the uninitiated, it’s not immediately user friendly to use. (Hey Denon! You could change this.) After understanding the OS issues on the receiver, my relationship with my app and receiver has been elevated to an understanding of its quirks, and a we now have a mostly productive relationship.

This app makes me want to pull my hair out. This app makes me want to pull my hair out. Fine for turning my receiver on and off and turning volume up or down. Terrible for features like "pandora integration"....can never get it to pull up station on my pandora with out screen and attempted selection going bonkers. It is irritating when you are listening to a network station and then want to browse for something new, that it shuts off whatever you were listening to when you leave that screen. Seems buggy all around and in the last year or so it has made me wonder if it was a bad choice to go denon. Saw a third party app i am going to try in lieu of this app. Praying it works better...I am so over this one. Extremely irritated.

Latest update works better..:. Previous versions just flat out didn't work for me - even after rebooting everything. The latest version works - and for the most part is reliable. I have had to reboot my wireless access point once to get it working again which I find very odd since every other device in the entire house has worked flawlessly (including a home server). The app is decently designed and gives me access to most of what I'd want to do without grabbing a physical remote. 4 stars only because of the periodic need to occasionally have to reboot my access point.

This app does damage Denon brand. App has got really good feature list and fairy good design. Big promise. Unfortunately it's got awful implementation in terms of reliability and performance. It does unexpectedly shutdown AVR. It simply can not work with Pandora refreshing list of stations in a loop. If app has association with Denon brand then perhaps PM may want to do something about it. Either fix it or drop it for good.

Good AVR App. Didn’t have any issues with setting up my x1100w via Ethernet and DNS. Device showed up immediately in the app. Love the app’s ability to change sound programs on the fly. Accessing the AVR’s setup and configuration screens is intuitive and it’s a lot more sophisticated to use for making quick channel volume adjustments. Nitpicks would be that the app’s icon needs an update to better match the overall look of iOS. The GUI could use a touch up as well, but I found the app to be a good utility and a nice quick way to adjust the volume when the remote is out of reach.

So much promise, so disappointed. I purchased two Denon receivers specifically because they offered phone app control and integration to Pandora and other internet tools. I'm really disappointed in both the app and my purchases. The app works maybe 10% of the time and extremely slowly to find the receivers. Both are hard wired and I can find my xbox faster and it's on wifi. The unit often gets its software locked up (both app and unit). Frankly I can't recommend Denon or this app to anyone. I'm sorry.

Internet Music mode: What happened to my Favorites?. It is a more adequate player app for my 2300W. Other apps offer more system tweaking. If it had more control over the receiver I might give it 5 stars. But one function I really like the internet station “Favorites” addition option the app adds to the Internet Music mode of my Denson. As of late 2020 my Favorites seem to dance in an ever changing order. Selection is unpredictable if the app accepts a selection. Is anyone else having this phenomenon? Really don’t want to uninstall / reinstall the app because I will have to redo those unique stations.

This is what happens when you let the competition design your product. Did Onkyo design this to make fun of Denon? The other reviewers are correct in that this is not reliable. And the user interface seems like it's a game. If you are listening to something, and click on a page, it turns off what you are playing. Then you have to go through the steps to turn it back on. The you look at another page, and there goes your music again. If this was a game, it would be very hard to play. Denon should actually try their products before releasing them. This is NOT worth the free price; it's more work than not using it.

No update for 3 years totally broken in ios13 come on denon. Asinine app so crappy now in ios13 the power on/off buttons have disappeared, same story in marantz app, hopefully Apple will fix the cause in 13.1 because denon and marantz don’t seem to care about their old customers. Unbelievable as they are not value products rather at the higher end of the market. Vizio recently added airplay and new features even 3-4 year old TVs

Reinstall on ios 12 to fix the crashing. This app is mediocre at best but it worked for the 2 years since it was updated... then I upgraded to ios 12 and it would crash immediately upon opening it. I uninstalled and just reinstalled and now it works again. D & M will probably never update it again, but it seems it will work again on ios 12 if reinstalled.

Massive improvement. I used this app when I bough my Denon x1100 a few years and it sucked. Intermittent connectivity was my major complaint. I'm not sure if the app was improved or if it was their most recent firmware update - or both - but I've had zero issues over the past month of use via iPad and iPhone. I will say it still is a bit clunky and the workflows aren't ideal, but it works and is reliable. Nice fixes whatever they were.

Network option needs to b turned on. In order to browse to the Denon receiver web page if the unit is in standby mode, network option needs to be activated. You won't see it in the options on the web page but u can access thru the menu system on the receiver. I too am disappointed to not see previous years models supported. AVR-3310ci. Still love my receiver though!

Update broken-update. I take back my previous post. I shutdown both my iPad and unplugged the AVR for 30 seconds and reconnected it and the app began to work as it did before the update. However, in demo mode I could make a playlist, etc...but now I don't see how to set that up. I guess I got some playing around and researching to do.

Doesn't work!. This app used to work for me and it was really the only way I could control the receiver for my zoned system. Now Pandora doesn't work - it just gets stuck authenticating. After that everything stopped working. Now I can only use the receiver for basic functions like tv. No access to outdoor speakers and any of the music functions. WHAT A TREMENDOUS WASTE OF MONEY. Oh, the remote that came with the receiver also stopped working.

App is trash!. Hardly ever finds the receiver. SiriusXM has never worked since day one even after hours on end with denon support and SiriusXM support. Has no support with Apple Music besides streaming from a phone. Been battling the connectivity issue for years now. Finally have had enough today while having a Memorial Day party and unable to change the music nor the volume. 15 years with denon products... Bye bye

Waste of time. This does not work, so don’t bother with it. Instead, find the 2016 version of this app. Fortunately the link is still up, and can be found by clicking on this app’s developer name. You will then be shown the other apps in their portfolio. You get to the one that actually works by swiping so you see the titles on the right. Download the 2016 AVR remote and actually control the receiver!

Denon keeps breaking this app. I wrote a review on 3.1.6. since it was buggy. Later they released 3.1.7. and it made a world of difference. Of course it updated to 3.1.8. Now I have the same issues when selecting albums from my Plex server. Not only that now my Plex server only shows up if I restart the PC program. None of my other items that I own have a problem with Plex. My Apple TV sees it, the Roku's see it. Denon, fix this!!!

This app is very inconsistent. Don’t buy Denon. When will Denon wake up and fix this issue? I’ve had my amplifier for 7 years now and they seem to not listen to their customers reviews when consistently they all have the same connectivity problem. All my other apps on my phone work great. The Denon app does pick up my SONY tv connection but it can’t connect with its own. How is that possible?? Denon when will this issue be fixed or are you still in denial that your app doesn’t connect and stay connected????

Frustrating. Garbage! Constantly crashes and disconnects from receiver. In some cases the app won’t even open and must be deleted/reinstalled. App interface is fine however reliability is the issue here. Interesting that a company like Denon is content with a 1 star average and doesn’t bother with an update for years. This app will be the reason I won’t buy another Denon product.

Dissappointed. When I originally got the Denon App it worked just fine. After multiple revisions, the App just seems to get worse and worse. It can’t find the AVR for a minute, then it wants me to back out, which takes me back to trying to find my receiver. I have tried other types of paths within the App without success. It just does not work with my receiver anymore. The only reason I give it a one: no zero choice. Update: I should not have to delete the app and reload the Apo, for the App to find the Denon receiver, yet time after time that is what I have to do.

Issues with Update. Since the last update, there are severe issues with two zones. One plays as expected, but the main zone randomly maxes out, blowing out my eardrums and eventually my speakers. Also, the network source option has disappeared from the app. For me to play music from my phone, I must manually select “network” using the receiver remote. This app has become more work than it’s worth.

So over this Denon App. Receiver is descent unlike the purchase price. App is extremely disappointing & embarrassing to have a get together & fighting over & over with connection & controls. My AVR 1913 receiver was professionally installed at a hefty price as well. Installer has basically given up on app control as well & cleaning his hands. Installer claims as far as receiver working it’s doing what it should, but as far as I’m concerned I am not getting out of this receiver what I was promised. I advised others to move on to another AVR.

Buggy and gets worse with every update. I don't know why they can't make this app work. It's not like they add new functionality. They just released updates that break to things that used to work. I only can get it to work about 25% of the time, and there is no rhyme or reason today. I've developed software before so I'm pretty good at troubleshooting, but I can't get this thing to do anything at all.

Works as it should. I enjoy being able to see what sound mode the Denon is on, as well as control volume and switch inputs. It’s also nice to be able to access the menu. I actually don’t have a physical remote for my receiver, and this is a fantastic substitute! I see that a lot of folks have issues with this app. My Denon AVR-X4000 is hardwired, maybe this leads to a better experience?

Awful App. Why can’t the big receiver companies figure out a stable, user friendly app??? None of them have 4-5 star app ratings. I have cycled through Denon and Yamaha. The apps feel and look like DOS (i.e. pre-Windows) programs. This app crashes all the time and locks up nearly every time I use it. Another question: can any other company step up here? I have heard great things about Sonos. But I am not sure if they are a full receiver replacement or if I have to plug it into my existing receiver and continue to deal with Denon?!? Also, my current speakers are great and built into the walls! Why can’t great sounding home theater and music be easy?!?

It's just ok...needs some updating. Overall pretty satisfied with the app. Really wish I could change speaker settings from surrounds to 2 zone setup on the fly and vice versa. I change this function often and it would make life so much easier. Also not auto changing the zone 1 when connecting to zone 2 network to access music apps would be helpful.

Just awful. Hoping to save another sorry soul from the torture I went through with this app. I was all happy to hook up this “new to me” receiver. Coming from a Yamaha RXV775, which was perfect, but didn’t have atmos. This was supposed to be an upgrade, but the experience was ruined because I downloaded the “Denon remote app”. PLEASE NOTE: Do NOT use that app! It is antiquated, and lacking ESSENTIAL controls. At first I had accepted that maybe they just missed the mark. But turns out there are multiple apps that work with this receiver. Well that is terribly confusing. So now after deleting this app, and downloading the 2016 AVR remote app, this receiver got a 2nd chance at life.

Always touchy, recently worse. This app has always been a bit slow and touchy (don't try to get ahead of it with clicks). Previously would've given 3-4 stars, but recently it stopped displaying my music (it will search, and will play what it finds, and will also display and play playlists). two stars until it starts displaying my music library.

Works ok. I wish the receiver wasn’t so flaky with the network. You have to unplug it every so often too get the app to see the receiver. It is kinda flaky and I had to assign my receiver an IP address to get the app to see the receiver consistently on my wifi. I wish it had the receiver setup options on the remote but you can access the receiver via its IP address on a web browser.

Maintaining?. This app worked when I first purchased my x4000 a few years ago but has gradually completely stopped working. I have multiple zones and the app made it easier to control them or change stations when I’m sitting outside. Have you given up maintaining the app? Or are you providing something better? I cannot imagine a simple GUI would not be in your best interest because I certainly wouldn’t buy another denon without app integration.

It’s okay. App is good when it’s working. A bit slow at times but very useful. It’s easier to sign in to accounts on the app , when it works. I’ve had to reinstall it several times. I’d say it works about 50% of the time. Even with excellent WiFi signal in your home. I will continue to use the app and hope that there’s an update or firmware updates for the unit itself.

Never know what it will do or not do. Lousy app that sometimes works, sometimes does not and often brings me to screens I dont know what to do with. Often wants to bring me to settings instead of controls. I can often not turn off or on my receiver and it randomly stops working. Sometimes it won’t even find my receiver. By far this is the worst app I deal with on a daily basis. Do not buy a Denon receiver, if you ever want to use it via the app.

Used with AVRE400 - What Happened?!?!. This app was very simple but gave me full control of my stereo. Never had any issues. About 2 weeks ago it wasn't even loading up, and now it can't detect my stereo. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. If there was an update recently, I beg of you to please fix this asap. My favorite feature about this app was that I was able to control the stereo from anywhere inside or outside the house. PLEASE FIX THIS!! Please!!

Fun if you like puzzles. Fun for a while as you try to figure out how to reconnect after it loses its first connection and then actually input the denon ip address manually and it still won’t work properly. Fun if you are tenacious until you spend enough time trying when you have come to realize you have pulled most of your hair out and are now on your fifth shot of boze trying to calm down and it still does not work. If you like that sort of thing then this app is for you. Have fun.

How can Denon have an app this bad??. This app is awful. It’s delayed, it hangs up, it kicks you out etc. We’ve tried using it across multiple devices and all have the same results. Recently the app stopped working if the receiver was on wifi. Now we have to have the receiver hardwired for the app to even see the receiver. But even then, this app is flakey. What I don’t understand is how can a company, one the size and popularity like Denon can produce such a brick of an app. I’ve owned a few different Denon receivers over the years, and I can honestly say their quality has become worse and worse with every unit. I’ll be going with a Yamaha receiver next since Denon now owns the other brands I was considering. And, I’ll be using their musiccast app which most people seem to love.

Works Fine. On a 6s and it works fine contrary to other reviews. Sometimes after app updates you have to turn your device off and back on again. Still a pretty mediocre app, but it works. :)

Continues to be a piece of junk, lousy Denon support. I have two Denon receivers, both wired (lab) to internet. This app has never been able to find either. A third party app (DeRemote) has no issues finding both of them. Attempts to contact Denon support was greeted with a general malaise with a combination of scripted answers with an 'I don't care' and 'the problem is on your side' attitude. They barely acknowledged that another third party app had no issues, proving the problem was not on my side. Denon support was lousy, so much so that I will be looking to move to another brand next time around.

Unstable App. This App often loses the ability to find my Receiver. I have to unplug the Receiver, wait a minute, and then plug it back in; this usually fixes the problem. Recently, however, unplugging the Receiver did not correct the problem, and it turned out the Receiver somehow permanently lost wireless internet connection (even though my router was working fine). I had to unplug the router and plug it back in, and that restored the internet connection for the Receiver. In summary, this App is unstable and is always requiring my attention to keep it working.

App no longer launches on iPhone 8. With iOS 11.3 on iPhone 8, app won’t launch at all. I tap it, it begins to open, then goes back to home screen. Have used app for years, quite convenient, worked fine until latest iOS update (so I assume that is the reason). Whatever the case, it would be nice to have this addressed so I can get back to listening w/o lugging out the remote and turning on the tv to navigate the menus. Please fix app so it will launch again (and yes, did power cycle my phone and delete and re-download the app—worked one time and then back to not launching)

Why bother?. I know you’ll be tempted to download the app and just “try it out”, but let me save you the headache. It’s old, wonky and quite useless. It doesn’t always recognize your device and lately it’s been crashing. Still can’t figure out the logic of spending resources to make an app other than that it’s just a marketing ploy to get you to buy their internal product, still, they end up losing customers over frustration with it.

Random volume=blown speakers. The last update seemed to correct the issue with not finding the receiver for 30 seconds. However, now it is basically unusable unless you are okay with blowing out your speakers. I have two zones, and when I want one zone on and not the second, the volume often maxes out on the zone I don’t want on at all when I turn on the the second zone. And it takes a few seconds of panic to get it shut back off. This happens even if I have the other zone muted. The mute turns off and cranks the volume to 70+. It doesn’t always happen, guessing 1/4 of the time. Complete garbage, and if you’ve spent some money on good speakers you’re really taking a risk by using this app. And before anyone asks, the super high random volume is not a “feature” (ie remembering the last volume setting for that zone), because it gets cranked to more than double of the loudest I’ve ever played music. It didn’t do this the first 4-5 years I used the app.

Unreliable. This app is down approximately 80% of the time when i want to use it. Don't know if its a function of all the updates apple keeps doing but it has become mire of a frustration than anything else. When operational, it works fairly well with occasional loss of receiver. Unfortunately the app quits working constantly. Whenever you tap the app to open, it appears to try and open then blinks back to the phone screen.

Pretty Good. I use this app regularly. The app works as designed for about 3-6 months at a time before crashing. Usually unplugging the AV unit and plugging back in fixes the issue but once I had to uninstall the app and reinstall. I wish the developer would make updates and improvements to future proof the app but I guess a new flagship is available and is a pity for users of the old interface.

Great app... not ready for iOS 13. Never had a problem with it until I upgraded my phone to iOS 13. Now I can’t access the “Zones” button and all of the icons disappeared. I hope it gets updated.

Mostly worked, now it doesn't open. The app works fairly well. It has hiccups every so often. Sometimes you have to unplug your device before the app will work, though I'm not sure why. All in all, I'm happy with it.

Works pretty well but. So I have had this app for a good 2-3 years, I thought it was really good but I think there should be a feature where you can track your physical remote, we lost our physical remote and just found it yesterday but the issue is the features on this app should either A. Mirror the physical remote. Or B. Have a tracker for the physical remote. I personally love this app it’s great when you don’t wanna grab your remote or go up to the receiver and press buttons, it’s also good if you would like to troll people in your house.

Paul. As per expected audio products and denon have disappointed slow to use hard to work and poor interface I don't won't my AVR anymore bring on my new yamaha

Mr. Great App. Love being able to turn the amp on and off from it and being able to customise the inputs. Love it for streaming music via Air Play but needs to be updated to work in full resolution on iPad! With this I would give the app 5 stars. Please update Denon!

Doesn’t work. Good thing it’s free. Doesn’t even see my Amp, Says my IP is incorrect & I can’t be bothered resetting my phone or unplugging my Amp every time I want to use it. Really LAME Only gets 1 star cause I have to

Perfect. Loads of options, fully configurable and all in a way that makes it a snap to use. I just installed DeRemote as it has a better user score, don't waste your time people, this app is just great (way ahead of DeRemote). Best of all I can configure which buttons I do and don't show on the main UI, perfect as I don't have 6 different devices connected at once.

Best App Ever. Fantastic; most functional, practical app I've ever use. 11 out of 10. 10 stars out of 5.

Remote On. Would be great if you could turn on the amp from the App otherwise does what I need.

Stopped working !!!. Why it stoped working Is there any other app available or this will be fixed

Just dosnt work. Had great hopes after the last update that this may actually work but alas. Dosnt even turn the amp on now. Need to fire the app producer and start again. Unbelievable. Doesn't even detect the device. Changing to Yamaha. Forget Denon!!!

Doesn’t work at all. With the update of devices to IOS13, this app no longer works and crashed immediately when launched.

Not working with iPhone 7. Fabulous app works great just don't update to the iPhone 7 iOS 10.1.1

Really....!!!!!...!!. This app is so bad... It will not allow me to connect my amp to it. Telling me i have the wrong IP address when i can connect to the amp via web interface. Spend top dollar on your product and the app you supply is rubbish. Not a happy camper.

Doesn't work anymore. Used to be a great app. Doesn't work anymore, can't even see my AVR on the network. Disappointing and lame. Please fix this DENON, it is important to the functionality of your product.

Stopped working suddenly. I have an AVR-3313 and the app on my iPhone 12 Pro was working fine up until a month or so ago. Now it won’t even recognise my Denon AVR. Please fix this Denon ASAP!!!!!

Crashes all the time. Sometimes wound load and if it does takes for ever. When accessing Music Library - crashes all the time.

Does a basic job. App works ok with AVR 2312. Has the odd freeze, won't load etc. so not as smooth as you would like but helps a bit when hiding remotes from the kids. Older version had more options so was disappointed the new version lost the ability to switch between Dolby Movie and Dolby Music. I hope they keep working on it and I can give it more stars in the future.

Works very, very well. Works great with my complicated setup. Only major request? An ipad version.

Might look better but..... Well, on the surface it looks better, but now its connection to my AV is even more flakey. First it didnt detect my avr2312 so i typed in the ip. It connected but told me i couldnt use the media streamer because i used a manual ip! Stupid. It found my samsung tv and samsung bluray though, and allowed me to stream to them since i guess those products are much more solid at connecting to my media streamer. Went back to try my avr again, this time it found the avr automatically. I selected zone 2, usb, media streamer. It searched for my media player, told me it lost connection and couldnt connect. It actually lost connection to the avr as well, taking me back to the main screen. Tried again and it couldnt find the avr again (still found the tv and bd though). Il be using DeRemote, much better and worth the money since it simply works. For me it finds the avr every time, connects flawlessly. If i open another app and go back to it, it reconnects quickly and returns to where it left off. It also lets me select my media server, browse and play! Denon in general, when you roll out updates to the avr firmware, you should tell people why and what. When people ask for added functionallity you should listen and respond. The function might not be possible but an answer would be nice - case in point is the numerous people asking for airplay to be independent of the zone (eg zone 2 airplay, zone 1 tv). Maybe version 4.0 will come with better connectivity.

Retro fit for older avrs please!!. I guess one star could be a bit harsh given my avr3808 isn't in the supported list but given the functions can be controlled via an existing but clunky HTML interface I hoped it would work to some degree but with no luck... PLEASE Denon, retrofit the older Ethernet enabled avr models into this app!

Did not work with Denon avr-4308. This is a model that can be controlled by telnet. But does not have a HTML web control screen. So was of no use to me, Sorry if this is. Too technical for a review

Best ever. This app allows you to have complete controll over your receiver and I love it and it is the best app ever. I highly reccomend it.

Denon iPhone App. Better look and feel than last. Buggy as hell. Crashes all the time. Can see the media server most of the time. Requires constant phone reboot. My 6 grader could test applications better than Denon. Rushed to market like most of Denons products, long before it is ready.

Still buggy after all this time. Spend a large amount of money on an amp and still takes three goes to change the volume on the remote. Could be a lot better. It only just works.

Great Product but the App is broken. I love our new AVRX1700H - an upgrade to our AVR3808 which we had for 15 years before the cat threw up into it and it squealed and died. The amp, not the cat! How can a perfectly valid and functioning IP address be “invalid”. Never got it working. BTW the cat is available to rewrite this if required. She couldn’t do a worse job after all.

Update the app ffs. Poor effort not updating the app during the ios13 beta period, which is a long as beta, come on guys. DOES NOT WORK WITH IOS13

Step backwards-dont update. No longer able to scroll through track list when playing media server music. Now have to use page down button over and over to navigate through album list and tracklist. Big step backwards.

Great APP!. User friendly, works well with AVR3311. Maybe add Zone 2 functionin the near future? Other than that, very useful

Doesn’t work properly with iOS 13. The app worked acceptably well with previous iOS versions, but having updated a few days ago to iOS 13 the app screen no longer displays correctly on my iPhone X. It appears like the screen thinks it should be in landscape orientation (like the iPad version) with the result that half the usually visible buttons and controls are off the screen and can’t be used. However the buttons and controls that happen to be visible on the screen do work and can be used. Needs an update ASAP!

Can't find my demon.. This app use to work great until I updated it now it can find my demon. When air play can find demon receiver. Not sure what they have done with update but they need to roll it back and redo it. Do not use this update. I have to give it one star as u can not give a zero star.

Denon app. I like this app as I can control the volume from another room or outside which I find is quite handy. Can search for radio station on phone and change channels, awesome!

Does not work now. A change to this app means it no longer sees my X4000. It sees my BluRay player and TV but not the Denon AVR. Is this iOS problem? No. iPad is older version of iOS and same problem there. This app used to work but Denon broke it.

Denon App Rubbish. After an update to the denon firmware and recent app update this app is now riddled with problems I.e. connection to av receiver drops out and cannot stream from media server to av receiver DO NOT UPDATE TO THIS VERSION!!! Denon programmers need to get their act together ASAP. Guys TEST and TEST again and if in doubt TEST AGAIN then release.

Denon. Used to work great but can’t get it to work anymore

Stopped working. What’s going on. Working one day, stopped the next. Please fix. Maybe time to abandon Denon and move to Apple Music pod.

everything I need. it does everything I need, all the functions are there, and it works anywhere in the house and yard my wifi router reachs, well done Denon!

TrentRyan71. The latest update is unusable. Connects when it feels like it. Locks up At amp and application. My foray into Surround sound has been ruined by the Denon experience. Never again.

Works well. Works great w new 2313. Only downside is slight lag and no favourites on default menu. Otherwise great free app!

When it works its great !!!. Takes a bit of effort to get it working, but when it works its fantastic!!! However it crashes after an hour or so, and you need to restart the AVR every time it crashes. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed with the app as it really is great!

Stopped working for my 2013 Equipment.. Besides a few glitches over the years, I’ve been using this app for a long time. Now I find it has stopped working and the new version is for later hardware only. I can’t afford a new amp, and I don’t need a new amp, this one does everything I need it to do including 4K pass-thru so why would I want to change it for another few years !?!? PLEASE make either THIS app or the new one work for me. Alternatively, please contact me for my address so you can send me something that will work with the new app. Thankyou 😁

No cable sat. Not that hard to get this right. Useless without it.

Denon avr 1910. App works perfectly with my Denon amp but like all other reviews is to light on in control functions. Just the basics and with such a quality amp the app should be better! Come on Denon lift your game

Lost streaming ability from iPhone. One of the best features about this app was the ability to steam your music directly from your idevice. This no longer works and I now no longer use this app. Also when it did work it was very sketchy trying to get it to stream to two zones at once. Up your game denon

Rubbish Denon. This app is utter junk for my AVR-X1000. It does not even work now. Going to recommend everyone I know against buying Denon. They obviously care very little about supporting their customers post sale. Shame on you Denon.

Source list in Zone 2 and 3. I use Zone 2 and 3 on my Denon 4311. The new App does not show all the sources in the selection list and I cannot select my "Airplay" source which is an AppleTV connected via optical using the "Game" input. Use it all the time, cannot select it now.

Fuss-free & Effective. Having spent a full day playing with the features of this app I can honestly say the only complaint I have is that occasionally the app itself might hang/crash. Other than that, it is highly effective for what it does as a remote and for serving Airplay functions! Hope Denon continues work on improving and streamlining this app in future updates!!

Custom settings went AWOL. Good app, although today it has reverted to generic input names (CBL/Sat, Game, Aux, Media Player) instead of (TBox, XBox, Wii, WD TV Live etc). This happened after trying "Demo" mode. Zone 2 support with input and volume control is brilliant. Add a star if this bug gets sorted.

Limited value. Very limited use with this app. Denon need to rethink this and look at what others are doing like Pioneer. I want bass, treble and individual channel controls, but this app only has volume and a few other settings. Overall a poor attempt and could be improved significantly. As 1 star is the minimum rating I have no choice but -1 star would be more deserving

Mr. This app has to be used for the Denon Amp but the system is mostly problematic. I have had the amp for 6 months and nothing but dropouts, unreliabilty etc. I have spent more on equipment than the amp and still no improved outcomes. Terrible.

No longer works. This app update has meant that I no longer have any remote access App not working

JD. I downloaded the app but can't get past the opening screen which asks for an IP address. There are no instructions on what this means or how to get it. Useless. Went to the iTunes app store for help, it links to the Denon web for setup instructions but that link goes nowhere. Absolutely useless.

It was good, now it.... Both my wife and use it now it doesn't connect anymore. We've tried everything, restarting devices and router etc. please fix it.

App wouldn’t launch on iPhoneX. The app used to work just fine until some time back but off lately it wont even load up. There has not been any update for the app in over 2years. Denon should release an updated version to keep up with the iOS updates etc.

Hit or miss. I love it when it works but mostly doesn't work!! Glad I don't have to pay for this crap app!!!

Update. Seriously, 3 years without an update ? Not working properly with iOS 13

Ios13. Still broken after ios13. Can we get a fix denon?

Fix for app problems. It worked alright at first, for a few months. The fix was to unplug the receiver for 30 seconds.

Denon. Bought 910w Denon receiver in feb2016, now it doesn’t work and can’t get it to update even though I can get internet radio through tv. App is appalling.

Need to reboot way to often. When the app works it good. However as Denon makes note in the description if you have connection issues you need to unplug the unit. Not cool when it’s in a different room. We have ours up for sale and will look to buy a better brand. They can’t seem to support their tech.

Excellente application. Je possède le Denon AVRX-4000 et cette application fonctionne à merveille. Dernier essais en janvier 2023.

Not working under IOS 13. Please update!

Another useless app. A once useful app for controlling my Denon receiver. Now, just takes up space on my ipad, as it is useless: Cannot connect, cannot use, and cannot repair. Issues like this make me question any further purchases from Denon.

App is crap. Worked for numerous years but recently will not connect to my Denon avr 2313 CI.

Crashes as soon as I open it. It worked in the past, but now I open it and the app crashes immediately. DeRemote works flawlessly, which is interesting as it is a 3rd party app. Very disappointed with denon. Great sound, terrible support. I’ll likely look for something else in the future, a vendor that you may trust not just for the first year.

Blaker. I used the app all the time. Now doesn’t come up with all the menus. Doesn’t work like everybody says. SAD! when connected all the options are music server?

Updated to iOS 13 now the app doesn’t work.. I have the iPhone 10, did the iOS 13 update last week, now the app doesn’t work. Missing a lot of buttons to control my receiver. Please fix soon.

Absolute garbage update. Latest update ensures that app no longer works. Well done Denon.

Auro3D?. I updated my 7200WA so I can use auro3D on my 5.1.4 system. Sadly the app does not propose auro3D in options. Please make app more stable and with all options from receiver. Also it seems my phone push files from dlna to receiver one at a time. So if phone goes to sleep music is off. Would be nice to send information from phone to receiver so received pull files from dlna as when I use the remote.

Awful. This app is awful! Worked for about 2 months 1 year or more ago. Has not been updated. There is no support to correct connectivity or 'device not found' issues. I am convinced that the few positive reviews are likely people working for, or connected to Denon- not a good choice if seeking a hybrid of great quality hifi/connected home. Extremely disappointing and poor product.

Wow en 2019! Pas plus avancé que ça????. Déçue en ta comme app. Surtout au prix de l’ampli. Pour moi Denon c’était synonyme de qualité. Bof

What happenned. This app was good until they switch the scrolling mode to select the radio channels for those stupid arrows that give you only the possibility to look by page. It takes an eternity if the radio channel start by the letter W... This is stupid!

Works better than the remote.. It works great so glad I down loaded this app. I can operate it by my phone play satellite radio all by using my cell. Don’t even need the remote anymore.

Turn it ON!. To all those who complained of not seeing their devices on app - turn manually or with remote unit ON and then open app. It will scan and search and will find your unit if is compatible with the app. With the app you can change the name of your unit the way you want, so is easy to recognize and know in which room it is, if you have 2 identical, as do I.

Ne fonctionne plus avec ios 13. Ne fonctionne plus depuis la dernière mise à jour

No longer works. A firmware update came to my AVR-X2100w and now the app no longer works or detects the receiver. Even after manually entering the IP address, it no longer connects. This is so dumb. Used this app for years without fail.

Stopped working. I downloaded the app because a remote did not come with my receiver when I bought it used. Now that I cannot use the app due to the firmware upgrade... I now have a very expensive paper weight

Lag has become unbearable. Has been a half decent app to use as an alternative to digging out the actual receiver remote to change things like the sound field settings. It used to respond immediately to things like volume adjustments etc. Now I’m not sure why it’s so laggy. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Restarting my phone. Unplugging and plugging back in the receiver. Power cycling my home network. The app must need updating to work better with iOS 11.2.6

Amateur design - horrible app - zero respect for Denon. Huh? You can't make an app that works? Constant crashing, never connects? Embarrassingly bad. Makes your company look very amateurish

Absolute garbage!!!. After the last uodate they have completely broken the app.Constant rebooting it might reconnect for a few seconds, maybe. Absolutely garbage!

Stopped Working. The app does not work anymore. Crashes and after a delete and reinstall of the app it cannot find my X4000. Manually adding the IP works but can't get any further. Worked fine before whatever the last update was. Oh well. Time to buy another brand of receiver I guess.

Doesn't work. Seems to connect to my AVR-S900W but doesn't control it at all

Didn’t work. App doesn’t connect or do anything for the amp.

App crashes Immediately. Can’t open or use it since the newest updat

Marche bien!. Pour monter le volume, changer « d’input » et modifier le mode surround, les commandes fonctionne bien, application simple, manque un peu d’option mais en general tres utile!

App stopped working**updated see below. **Update: make sure to update the firmware on your receiver and this app should start working again. No longer connects to receiver! Update has stopped connection with receiver please fix!

Terrible App. I have been struggling through this app for a couple of years now and it just gets worse. I now have a iPhone X and I cannot for the life of me get this thing to connect. Other than chucking my $3000 Denon app in the garbage or better yet, smashing it on the floor, I am at my wits end. I have now given up and am using my iPhone 6+ to work play music as my $2000 top of the line iPhone X does NOT work. 0 (Zero) stars at best if there is such a thing.

No update for 2 years. So Denon, I see that you have a new app out. AVR 2016. I have an AVR 1913 that is not compatible with the new app. That sucks but I can live with it. The real issue is that you have abandoned this app completely. That means that, since this app is not compatible with iOS 12 I cannot use it. What are you trying to do here? Force us to buy a new receiver just so we have a compatible app to use? Are you that stupid? Update the app to be compatible with the current version of iOS or release a firmware update to my 1913 that will allow the new app to work with it.

Unacceptable. How can you make such wicked hardware ... but such horrible software This app is horrible

Decent. Sadly with all the negative reviews, Denon has not improved this app. Understand Hardware constraints making the new Denon 2016 not compatible. But with all the older models out there, please update this app. There is no reason some of the functionality of the new app cannot be incorporated into this one. Please support your products Denon.

App Crashes upon launch. Since the update 3 days ago the app crashes immediately upon launch. Hard reboot of iphone 6as doesn’t fix.

Terrible support. When this app works, it’s not bad. They seem to have a hard time keeping up with Apple updates though. It takes weeks even up to a month before they finally update the app allowing it to work with iOS. No other app has consistently disappointed me like this one.

No longer works. Will not even load. Garbage.

Mostly functioning app. It mostly works well with my Denon AVR-S700W. I can turn the receiver on and off from anywhere within my router wifi area. I can adjust volume and turn on Internet radio and pick the station - all from my iphone. What I admire the most - the app is integrated well with my WD hub media player. It is definitely adds to convenience. I do have a separate WD app, but don't remember when I used it last time. Denon app does the job beautifully. Now the CONS. I wish the interface was more user friendly. The navigation could be more intuitive. And last, but not least, building playlists for my network stored media seems to be part if the app, but it needs to be completely re-worked. It is absolutely user unfriendly and counter-intuitive. Having said that - it mostly works and I would recommend for the Denon owners to use it, just as to the Denon developers to work on navigation and playlists. One more CON: the app does not seem to recognize non-Latin characters. It does not show ANY non-LATIN folders. This is my default way to reach to my data. When trying to search for the Artist or the Album, the app returns with wrongly coded title names. Somewhat inconsiderate assuming brand's Global reach. Please fix. Thank you for fixing the non-Latin characters. They work fine on my iPhone now. One more suggestion: I would like to be able to add a single track to the existing or to the new playlist from the Player View interface. In the same way as you put a favourite "heart" button for marking a track as favourite, would you consider adding a "Add To Playlist" button? Thank you.

Used to work. Used to work great on previous versions but now it's certain every time I launch the app that there's no change of it connecting to my amp. I try every so often regardless, just to see if anything has changed... 👎

Terrible connectivity. May 2019 Update: The receiver does not keep the hard wire connection configured. This keeps you from using the app. April 2019 Update: I have figured out what is causing so much difficulty with the app. When the receiver gets a firmware update (which I just got another one that was able to confirm this) it forgets the wired network connection. Further, it takes some effort to get it recognized again. The steps required are under network settings go to Information (unless Connection is actually available). After it completed the scan check to see if Connection (one menu back) option is now available. If not then scan again. When it is you go to the connection type and change to wired (my receiver wants to go to wireless by default). It may complain that the cable is not connected, just tell it to scan for the wired again until it finds it. When done, the app can actually work! Used the star rating to 3 now. The fact that the receiver does not keep the configuration is a problem that should not exist. When it works it is pretty good. The problem is that much of the time it does not connect to the receiver. It isn't consistent about it either. What is also concerning is that Denon does not recognize past purchases and is building apps for new products while putting prior products at a lower priority. Denon, stop building different apps for different years of receivers and start using a common architecture and standard. Update: several versions later and Denon still can't find its own receivers, the foundation of what the app should do. Even with a dedicated IP there is no success which tells me the receiver is likely the issue. Update 20181225: I will never buy another Denon. The app is useless as it can never find the receiver. That is fine if you continue to use the old style of IR remote, but it is about to be 2019. If Denon was thinking that this was an obsolescence act, all it does is make me interested in the competition. My other receiver is a 2 year “older” unit who’s app works flawlessly.

Totally useless. like all others app from Denon it’s useless….. Take a look at Yamaha please or contact Apple to design something useful….

POS. So disappointed. Rarely connects when everything else on my network works great. Software is so buggy. Just junk and I’ll never buy Denon again

iOS 13 Broke the app. Can no longer control my denon since updating.

Ignore all the whiners. This is a great app.. I don't understand all the negative reviews. This is one of the best apps on my phone. And I have over 200 apps. I use the app everyday and lt's much easier to use than the bulky and finicky infrared remote. And the app is free! What more do you want?

Always work fine till last update. Why is my app not working anymore ?

Hate the new look. Why can’t I have the power button to shut on or off. This looks awful and the buttons don’t work. Why have an app if ur doesn’t work.

Doesn’t work anymore. It used to work fine. Now it just does not work. I don’t know if it is the app or the AVR that’s at fault, but it just does nothing.

App crashes immediately after upgrade to v11.2.5. Major bug needs fixing! App immediately crashes after launching. This happened after upgrading to iOS v11.2.5. Latest update to this app was 12months ago which is quite a long time for Denon. Reflects poorly on the brand name. Pls fix ASAP.

Works once everything is power-cycled. This new version can't find my AVR X4000. Tried powering etc. looking forward to a worKing version again. UPDATE: rebooted my phone a 2nd time and it's now working. Sadly, the app doesn’t display correctly on iOS 13. Hey Denon, any chance of an update to correct this?

Much better integration than third party apps. New version has better navigation and power on/off.

Recently more stable. The app is old. It has spent the better part of the last two years completely borked. AirPlay to my AVR-1913 wildly inconsistent. That said - a recent firmware update on the receiver seems to have made the iOS app more stable. So... at least there’s that. Edit: just kidding its crashing again.

It’s glitchy, but okay. Every week or two, you have to unplug your receiver for a bit, then plug it back in so that the app will find the receiver. Not exactly a convenient feature for a remote.

Worked ok until iOS 13 update. The app has had its issues over time, but the last update to iOS 13 has made it unusable! There doesn’t seem to be much effort on making sure that the app work reliably over time. Looking at the update history, it has been 3 years since the last update...COME ON!!

Continuous Issues Since Update. App disconnects, cant find receiver, loses connection if you stop airplay or switch input during playback... Please Fix team... It worked good prior to recent update... Thanks

IOS 13 app not working properly. Can someone from Denon update this app to work with iOS 13. Buttons and icons are missing.

New update lost “on/off” and zones. App worked perfectly for years on several different iPhones and iOS’s. Got an iPhone XR and updated and can no longer see or access “on/off” button or zone selection. So aggravating. I can no longer turn on or off my system with my phone, which creates a need for the original remote, which DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE APP! 😡🤬😞

Doesn’t work. Needs a complete revamp. Has not worked well over the last three years and with updates it seems to be worse. Latest update made the app not even launch. After deleting and reinstalling it doesn’t see my wa7200.

Bad news for D&M. It’s unimaginable that the D&M brands are being dragged down by this terrible app and the continued issues related to it, for 4 years every time I bring up the app there is another issue that requires a complete reboot of iPad and receiver. And the lack of response from Denon is gnawing at my thought process as I shop for new AVR receivers.

App crashes with new version of iOS. App no longer launches - just closes when selected. Boo denon! Make the denon AVR app work on older denon receivers or update this app! Uninstalled and reinstalled - now it opens and doesn’t find the receiver. Firmware is up to date. Come on Denon! You can do better than this! I own three receivers and invested in your HEOS system. Just give me an app that works!

Last Denon. It is likely that this review will not be viewed by denon. However if it is know this, when picking a new receiver many do look to see how well the apps are for controlling devices and this app is the worst I have ever used. In addition to the app the software on the receiver is also behind times.

App does not work now. I mean come on Denon. Hire some developers and fix this thing would you please? I just got the newest iPhone and your app doesn’t work. Won’t even load and yes I have restarted my iPhone and the receiver. This stuff should work without restarting my iPhone all the time anyway. Fix it!

Works Occasionally. I think 1.6 stars is generous. The app just stops working for stretches of time, then starts up again. The interface is really clunky, it can’t find devices and when it does, it is unable to connect. Wish there was a better option. DeRemote is ok, not much better.

Internet Radio Favourites List does not work. I really really wish my Denon App would work. I use my Denon almost every day, but the Table View of favourites in the Internet Radio section does not work on iPad or iPhone. Denon you have Champagne tastes when it comes to your prices, it's about time you review your beer budget on the App.

Poor for years. This app has been horrible for years. Constant crashes, extremely slow, many non-working aspects. This is one of the main reasons I will not be going back to demon after my current receiver dies. Why can’t certain companies learn to build reasonable apps?

Can you rate lower than 1 star?. This app is so unreliable. When it works it is good. Unfortunately more often than not it doesn’t connect, or causes the weird volume issues, or only shows Media Server. The Denon receiver itself is great but the app stinks.

Can’t connect. Worked for a while until started not finding my AVR about a year ago, I tried everything including manually entering IP address but still not connecting/ finding it. That was one of the nicest fractures of Denon receiver, but it seems that they completely dropped it/ ignored it

Not working now. Have used this app for a few years, but it no longer works after recent iOS 15.7.1 updates

Latest Update Was A Disaster!!!!. After years of perfect functionality, the app no longer works after the latest firmware update. And inexcusably, after at least a month, it seems Denon has no intention to fix the problem. Absolutely terrible support and a downright slap in the face to its customers.

Apple just updated iOS 13. All is well. The app works fine since Apple fixed iOS 13

Decent, when it actually works. I find this app to be usable for my basic needs. I don't ask a lot of it, which seems to be a good thing. But it frequently won't connect to my receiver, no idea why this happens. Periodically the app won't even open, I run it on both an iPad and an iPhone and have same problem.

Poor.. The app lacks responsiveness: it gets the circling 'wait' item after every click. Awful media (DLNA) navigation: does not feature a search option, which would help a lot, because typing names using the IR remote control is just PAINFUL. Not using again; uninstalling it.

Reliable in the wrong way. Let me write this is a way that the developers might understand. Every time I open the ap, and on a daily basis and sometimes more than once a day, I end up unplugging power to the receiver and re-plugging for a cold reset with an 80% chance for the app to recognize the device. It recognizes my TV all day long without any reboots to the TV - It’s made by LG - go figure.

No longer works.. Worthless now. It used to work like the app pictures show. Now it will connect but only shows a button to select the media server. Don’t understand what happened. No remote control capabilities any longer.

Is it hardware or software issue?. I just love having to take down my entire WIFI network every few weeks to keep my Denon receiver accessible. Most of the time it is the receiver. Sometimes software. This leads me to believe the hardware’s firmware is crap. Upping my game to Marantz next time.

Immediate crash with prejudice. Either denon didn’t keep up with iOS or denon just simply broke this app! It used to work fine but over past year (or more) it’s turned into utter garbage. No denon, it’s NOT acceptable to have to power off reboot my receiver! What are you running in your receivers? windows? Things used to work well but not anymore. And this is with the latest firmware on my receiver.

iPhone is now my remote. Seems to work great on my iphone6. Have ios9.3. Nothing amazing, but not sure what else I need either. Very nice to control receiver without having to find remote- I always have my phone with me.

Will not buy Denon. This app is embarrassing. Doesn’t even use the whole screen real estate for an iPhone X+. Borrowed a Denon receiver from a friend to test out Atmos compatibility with my speaker setup and was shocked out how terrible this is. Will be buying a new Yamaha as their app, although old-looking too, is 1000% better than this neglected app.

Pretty much crap. Wish somebody would write a working app for my receiver. Obviously Denon can’t. Basically if you load this app on your system new, and update your receiver, and reboot your phone and router, you’ll stand a 50/50 chance of getting the app to work a few times. Then- delete the app and start the process over.

App no longer working in iOS 13. Performed flawlessly until iOS upgrade. Please update this app.

Getting worse.. Doesn’t work right. Had this app for 4 years. Every year from the first it got worse and worse. Now it only plays one pandora station and shuts it off when it feels like it. Are there any other options for the denon remote app?

Pandora doesn't work anymore. Used this app for several years and it worked fine. In the last couple of months, the app gets stuck at the login page. And yes, I am using the correct email and password. Powered down my home network, unplugged the amp, rebooted my iPhone and Droid phones, deleted and reinstalled the app... Repeatedly to no avail. I had been a loyal Denon customer.

Would be nicer if I didn’t have to reinstall app every other day. Last update has made it so the app only works for a day or two then has to be deleted and reinstalled because it just crashes on launch. Restarting phone does not help. App was pretty good before that.

Beyond Frustrating. How high of quality can this be when you can’t make an app work with your Wifi network? It’s intermittent. I wouldn’t care so much if your remote would’ve lasted more than 2 years. Don’t update your phone. It won’t work anymore.

Quit working. It was always slow and sometimes on responsive on my AVR-S710W. About six months ago on my iPhone 7 it quit working. I assumed it was just older hardware that needed to be updated. Since I got my new iPhone XS, it is not doing any better. The app shuts down immediately on opening it. The recommendations from the developer to fix the problem are a joke.

Only good if you are a masochist.. You will get frustrated with this app. Seldom ever works on my iPhone 7. When it does, it inevitably stops after a few button presses. The various versions have never really helped this app. I expect a lot more from a large electronics company like Denon. If teenage kids can write good apps, what can't you?

The most unreliable app I have. I'm disappointed with the unreliability of this app. It works maybe 1/3 of the time. Seldom finds the receiver. I have a new Nighthawk router so I can stream seamlessly with the receiver. It works great, but the app still cannot locate the receiver. Makes me think I should have gone with my always reliable Yamaha receiver instead.

Frustrating app. If I could find another useful app to operate the Denon amp I would, but there is nothing really out. Next time I buy a new amp it will not be a Denon. It is all because of this app. I constantly lose functionality and have delete and reload the to get functionality back.

Needs display dimmer feature. To get back and forth to "Favorites" takes excessive steps sometimes...annoying. Add the ability to dim the display screen on the receiver. It's not an option available on the AVR E-300 receiver or the receiver remote. Not a good omission.

never has worked right. There has always been issues with this app working correctly and consistently. I would not buy another demon product based on their poor understanding of software and obviously lack of trying to fix this based on the years of bad reviews.

Ignored by Denon. This app hasn’t worked well since the start. Now it won’t load, keeps quitting. It is very slow to respond. Trying to use satellite radio is very challenging. You make great receivers, why not invest a little into the app that your customers likely interface with the most?

Loss of functionality with iOS 13 but fixed with 13.1. The upgrade to iOS 13 resulted in a loss of functionality with the remote app. Fortunately it seems that iOS 13.1 has restored the functionality.

Underperforming. Was really excited to have the capability to adjust the stereo and tie in multiple music sources. Just hasn't worked out as well as I had hoped. Goes through periods of working and then not working. Current issues include the inability to connect to any music source such as Pandora or Xm radio.

App is clunky, won't work Pandora. Use to work with Pandora - NO MORE! App has always been clunky and not "User Friendly." Very poor layout and I constantly select unwanted buttons because they don't make sense. Almost worth a different receiver to get an App that functions better.

Works great. Only complaint I have is it is not displaying on the tv screen like it use to. Not sue if it is the last ios 10 update or etc.

old good friend. seldom UI change but work so well with my AVR-2313 so long. Even work well in IPadOS 15.1. In case of not working, check your wifi network and change of IP address. Thank you

I really want to love this app..... This app is great when it works, the problem is it doesn't work consistently. It was working for a couple of months up until last week. It tends to go like this, couple months of working, then a couple months of not finding my receiver.

Works ok when it doesn’t crash. App functions as intended. After a few months of usage it crashes upon open non stop and have to redownload from store. Would be nice if Denon would put energy into a decent modern app? Anyone? Bueller?
