Hate the new changes!. Have used this app for a long time now and loved it. But I hate the recent changes. The home screen used to give radar, current temp and the week’s weather at a glance. No more—that’s gone. And there are now so many ads you have to search for true weather data. Definitely NOT an upgrade! Please take some of these ads off and restore the good home page.

Accurate. It is so good to see the accurate weather forecast that y’all put on every day. Not only is it on tv I have the app where it is available on my phone. Knowing the weather is very important for me. It is right on the money as far as accuracy. I can’t imagine life without it. THANK YOU Charles Turner. !-!

Bad Changes. The app keeps getting worse. It used to be great. The new app is really bad. The past-now-future feature is totally worthless on the new app. Map now black background or all white!!!

Good radar, Bad app. App Won’t load at least once daily. Have to shut off my phone to get the app to open.

The Best station to get your forecast.. The best Station to get the current weather conditions, and All of the current news of the day.

Dependable. WKYT is what we watch each day for the latest news and weather reports!

No improvement!!!. The previous version was so much better than this "improved" version. Difficult to get the info I want. Whoever made the decision to use this new app is simply mistaken.

Bad update. I updated my app today and now it won’t open. I’ve done all the usual tricks and nothing works.

Enjoying this app. I work outside daily with the public helping helping low income family with free cell phone so this app makes life so much easier

Review of wkyt weather app. I love the way this app notifies me and then with one click it takes me to the radar!!

Fact. Better than most free weather apps…but .. forecasting the weather for Harlan County is, at best…a guessing game…no matter who is doing the forecasting

New update is bad. The new updated app is bad. Way too many ads. You have to scroll down to find the traffic report now. Don’t like this update and will find another app to use. Should have left well enough alone...very disappointed!!!

A Letdown. Seems that more often lately that the Doppler radar is MIA when something is actually happening. Thanks for nothing.

Horrible Update. The new update is horrible. It takes at least 30-60 seconds for anything to show up when I open it. I can’t even find the “Traffic” option anymore. It’s bombarded with ads. Not a fan.

They made it terrible. Latest update to the app makes it hard to read. Ads are the majority of the screen. Previously all info was on initial screen; now you have to scroll & search for temp, humidity, etc. Was the best weather app around; now it’s just terrible. Not user friendly at all.

Current Radar is covered up by colored boxes.. Recently the radar has been cluttered by an overlay that frankly is a nuisance. I only want a clear radar fast as a truck driver without needing to push a button to put in motion. Putting it into motion and needing to pause at just the right place to get current information is not working for me.

Where’s the traffic report?. I used this app daily for weather AND traffic...now there seems to be NO traffic report that I can find- help!?!

Disappointed. This app is misleading. It is nationwide and setup to make money for each tv station that uses it. The local stations don’t report the weather on the app. It is coming from some source out side the state. Very misleading. Totally used for making money for the stations and very little concern is given for the weather. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP! Unless you don’t mind watching ads. And getting poor weather forecast.

Inaccurate. I gave it one star because zero stars was not an option. It will show 10% chance of rain on the daily but if you look at the hourly for that day it may show a 90% chance in five hours. Hard to plan on the farm with that kind of lying.

Took many adds. I wish WKYT was more concerned about providing a detailed weather forecast as much as they are filling the page full of advertisements

New changes are awful. I use this app multiple times daily and it has been perfect. But now if you want to watch a 30 second clip describing how the weather is going to change, you have to watch a 30 second ad first - and every ad is for Morehead for some reason. Then, once you get through that, the sound on the weather video doesn’t work even though it worked for the ad. They also made the app much uglier. Very disappointed with these changes.

Difficult. To much on the app. Just make it simple! Just give me the weather and that’s it. Nothing fancy!!

Pesky notifications. Ads everywhere, slow to load probably because of all the ads, you get unless notifications at all hours. I guess at least you can look at the radar and get a better idea of what the weather will do than the forecast they give you on TV, it hardly ever does what they are saying will happen at my house

Weather. Love the weather forecast as it helps me plan my daily activities.

Crashing. I had this app for many years and now it keeps crashing I’ve deleted and re-downloaded it many times and updated it as well but I still can use this app, it won’t even open. I click on it and it takes me to the WKYT blue page them crashes making me go back to my home screen. Finding a new app if problem don’t fix.

Love it but. Most accurate radar in my experience but I’ve just switch to iPhone and there’s no widget for iPhone. Miss the widget

Fix This App. Has been my preferred weather app for a long time. However, more than half the time now when I open the app, it says there’s a network connection problem. Only way to clear this erroneous information is to completely shut down the app and then open it again. Same thing happens on both my iPhone and my iPad. VERRRRRY ANOYING! Please fix this so I don’t have to find a different preferred weather app.

Only two stars. It’s not up-to-date most of the time and gives inaccurate information. it can be pouring the rain at our location and show that there is no rain on the radar. The temperature is always different from the forecast on the TV, or on our own temperature gauge at our house, etc.. I understand that that are variables @ different locations….

Don’t like the update. The ‘Daily’ section is hard to read with the clouds behind it. Overall the changes are awful. Like the old app better.

Needs home screen work. The home screen should immediately display the temperature without scrolling, like it used to. Now after the most recent update I can’t find the temp at all and I hope when they fix that they revert it to the old home screen style.

Disappointed. This app was wonderful in the beginning. Now it crashes often and I just have to delete and re-install it to fix it. The daily forecast is NOTHING like the news! I do like the radar though.

This app is a waste. There is never any audio on the weather alerts on this app except for the commercials. You just end up seeing weather maps roll by with no comments.

Good weather broadcast!. We’ve watched the WKYT weather team several times a day since moving back to Lexington 9 years ago. I took meteorology as an elective in my engineering curriculum and have been very interested since. I experienced the April ‘74 tornado outbreak while at Ft Knox raising my awareness for severe weather. Chris and Jim are a delight being local, competent, and confident. Ally is a lot better than Megan. I thought poor Megan was about to cry. If I could tell Ally one thing to improve it would be the definition of a period at the end of a sentence. Her monotone run-on sentences are very noticeable. Keep it up Weather Team.

Do Not Waste Your Time With App. Radar does not work. As I type this, it is pouring the rain outside and the radar shows no precipitation. They just updated the app and it does not work anymore. Going to delete and find a new weather app. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Go to weather app for Lexington. This is my go to weather map for this area.

Forecast Videos Lacking. They’ll occasionally post videos from earlier in the day with outdated information. The website is updated more often.

Something’s changed. What happened to the voice notifications? Not only that, but I don’t even get a written alert notification anymore for severe weather. All my notification settings are turned on. I like this app, but I miss the alerts.

Change it back!!. Since the latest update this app is awful. I used this app multiple times a day. But now it takes forever to load and it is completely useless to someone in a hurry.

Go back to the old style!!!. I have always loved this app, but this update is terrible. It’s focused around ads more than the weather and for the life of me I can’t even find where it shows the current temperature. All I can find is what the hourly forecast is. My opinion, but they took something that wasn’t broken and tried to fix it......and now it’s broke!

Good radar. Good radar info and let’s me know what’s happening

Too many ads. I’ve used this app since it came out. But now after this last update you have more ads pop up and details of weather. It’s confusing and this new update was not worth it. I also work at a golf course so I need a good fast accurate weather app. This Was it.

Retract the update. I went to this app because it was easy to use after WLEX had updated there app. Now this one is terrible. It has been deleted

App works / Too many TEMU ads. The app itself functions as expected. However, I’m tired of seeing ads from whatever TEMU is with women’s breasts all over the place. It’s ridiculous! Please remove them.

Crashes. The latest update made the app crash. You can not even open it anymore. It crashed a lot before but now the app is useless.

Delayed Data. Compared to the radar images from the Weather Channel app, this app's data seems to be delayed by about 15 min. Critical flaw especially during the stormy season. Experienced this first hand today as a strong thunder storm raged over head, but this app still shows the storm as not yet here!

New update is buggy. It doesn't load, crashes and I have tried to delete and reload and still the same issue.

Awful for iPhone. Scaling bad, radar obscured with useless screens, can't see your neighborhood (as advertised!) I kept it for a day and deleted. Obviously they don't know how to use "the most powerful radar."

Stinks. Odd how all the ads play perfect but when you want to actually listen to the weather. The audio cuts in and out. Deleted................................

Exactly what I was looking for. Current temperature, radar and forecast all on one screen! High resolution Lexington only radar or national radar makes it useful for those not in the WKYT viewing area. Downsides: graphic design leaves something to be desired and not multitasking enabled.

What happened. For the last few weeks can not get on your site!!! What happened? Will try a few more times and if it doesn't let me on, I'll delete and go with Storm Tracker only!!

Too much advertising. Too much advertising. App is nothing special.

Current version. Current version doesn't work. You click to open it and it pulls up the main screen then crashes. I have an iPhone 6s. Also when you look at one of the earthquake details info boxes, you can only see a couple letter of where it originated.

Weather. I LOVE this app!

Good, but problem with video sound. I like channel 27 weather coverage and use this app, but on iPhone 5 and now 6, the sound doesn't work on the videos. I have to find them directly online where they play fine. Not too useful unless you can read lips. Maybe someone can address this?

Awful bug. If you open the weather app while music is playing on iPhone, your music will stop. It is annoying! Please fix the bug!

Great app. It's my favorite app for letting me know what's going on with weather and what's coming

WKYT radar. The first alert Doppler keeps freezing at 7:13pm Now it is frozen at 8:21. Great app when working!

Worthless. This app now crashes repeatedly and when it doesn't crash it won't load hourly or radar about half the time. Very frustrating. The map will show the radar sweep in action but it takes forever to load any precipitation layers. I end up checking TWC app to confirm there is a front bearing down on us and this app is just not showing it. Deleted and reinstalled several times to no avail. Maybe time to delete for good.

What happened?. This used to he a great app. The radar stopped working a little while back. Please fix it!!

Parochial. Very limited in its ability to do certain tasks. It would be nice if the alert center would send out and/or had alerts for the current day's closings & delays. After all they do want access to send push notifications and access to my location.

Doesn't work anymore. Stuck at 8:21 on my phone too. Too bad. This used to be my go-to weather app.

Excellent. I have spent a lot of money on other weather apps, this one is by far more accurate. The only downfall is it only sends push notifications for warnings. Other than that I have no complaints. The traffic is very accurate also.

Lousy job. Don’t bother. Other reviewer was right - sound is fine for ads but nonexistent for THE WEATHER!!! Ridiculous. Will delete and find a more reliable app

New update. The new update has ruined this app. Was the best weather app available and went straight to the bottom. Either change it back or I'm deleting it. Deserves 0 stars now

Do not like the Update!. Love wkyt... But since new update it wouldn't load and show the weather on the map. I can only check what it will be . It's very annoying!!😡

App. It won’t even let me open the app

Not great. Worked very slowly before last update. Long load times, very little memory loop from the radar. Since the latest update: 1) does not store actual location. It always reverts to Lexington. 2) radar data is always shown as "data unavailable". No radar on the radar app? No good.

Was Good, But Not Now. This was a good weather radar app, but it is now frozen up and will not work! What the h*ll happened?

Ruined a formerly great app.. This used to be my go-to weather app. Now it’s so slow and cluttered that it’s nearly useless.

Good. This app is usually good but for some reason the radar map has been stuck on 4:51 am all day long. And since its after 2 pm the map is going to be reading 4:51 am and showing the exact same thing. Please fix.

Radar hours behind. When I open the app at noon I want to see current radar not several hours ago such as 8 AM. How does that do me any good? All I can use the app for now is daily temperatures. Thanks for nothing.

Update idea. Add the Doppler radar and they can choose where it is live radar or live dial polarity radar in the next update.

Easy to use and as accurate as any.. It's the first weather app I'm actually keeping and using. More accurate and way easier to use than any I have tried.

Radar Track. This app has worked fine, so far, with the exception of when you are looking at the radar track and switch to 10 day, then switch back to radar track the radar track occasionally fails to return in it's circular motion.

WKYT weather app. Need some updating. When on wether map screen keeps acting up
