Thank you. I first discovered this website around the time Dorian struck the Bahamas, and it’s always been by go-to for satellite since, this app is absolutely perfect for hurricane tracking. From the wide range of satellite imagery to new additions like wind and pressure forecasts, zoom earth has been an incredible tool.

Best out there. For tracking storms, this is one of the best programs available—with a serious caveat—it does not appear to allow for “real-time” tracking of immediate threats. On the west coast there is about a 20-30 minute delay when tracking weather events. This is fine for replaying general weather patterns, but the delay is too long for tracking immediate threats—other, less graphically intense programs do a better job with “live” weather events.

Fantastic and great details. I love this app, we always travels and it helps us check what is the current weather situation via satellite, just do ads is fine but please dont restrict the user to have a subscription to use the app

Best weather app. After trying several apps I came across this one and it immediately impressed me. I’m following hurricane Milton’s track from the app which allows me to see its current track or turn this feature off to see the animation as seen by the satellite. It’s just complete for my needs and the premium offer does not break the bank. Excellent!

Fair Weather App. This app worked fairly well during Hurricane Helene. Not really updating the storm path for Hurricane Milton. Updates need to be much more current especially when you’re in the path of a hurricane to be able to track it better. I like the distance tool and the graphics are ok. Just needs better real time updates.

Zoom Earth is the Best. Mike’s Weather Page listed a link yesterday and we went to your site. Lived in Florida 55 of my 70 years. This is the best Visual Hurricane info tracking site I have ever seen. Andrew, Charley, Frances, Jean, Irma, and Ian all came over our Home in Arcadia, Florida. Awesome!! But it could use more features.. This app is phenomenal! I really like it, and it is super effective when preparing for severe weather. When the horizon is dark, just open up the app, and I can see an accurate radar view of my area. However, it can use some features, like Doppler Radar, or Radar Imagery for tracking hurricanes. Other than that, this app is pretty neat, which is why I give it five full stars.

AMAZING APP. Appreciate this app so much, it’s very user friendly and detailed and I feel confident that it will keep me up to date with the latest happenings in terms of the current and future storms to come this hurricane season.

ZOOM EARTH. I really love how I could actually follow the storms on Zoom Earth much better than I can on the national weather report or any of those other weather places and that includes the TV stations. I love how I can see not just the rain but also the winds I can see all kind of different settings on Zoom Earth and I just really always share it with everyone else so they can follow their weather instead of counting just on the news or the local weather channels. Thank you so much. I almost feel like I could be a meteorologist😄😄 just kidding

Amazing app.. This is one of the best hurricanes tracking apps I have ever downloaded, and heavily used during the most recent Yagi hurricane that hit China, this app and another one help me keeping track of the hurricane so I can prepare for the worst, until the power is out.

Please add weather warnings and alerts. This weather app is awesome and the best weather app I’ve ever used. I’ve always had a passion for weather. Weather alerts and warnings would be an awesome addition to this app. I would gladly pay a little monthly payment to get alerts. Perfect app just missing weather alerts

Hurricane Milton. This app has allowed me to make some critical decisions for family and coworkers. The play features which show las the trajectory and different changes of wind velocity are a great visual tool. Definitely one of the best apps for weather and hurricane tracking I have used.

Great App!!!. I searched in my browser on my laptop for future hurricane updates on Milton. When I found it I was genuinely suprised that I haven’t heard of it. The graphics and all other features are amazing! I started sharing it with others to download and use. This is the best app ever!!!

THE BEST weather MAP EVER!!!!!!!. I mean l do live nowhere bc we travel but l love weather but l got some stuff you should add 1st all of you flat earthes ummm no you should make the map round like the real earth 2st well you should put hail and tornadoes not just hurricanesAlso tornadoes 3st add floods and warnings. But other than that it’s cool

Excellent live data. You can see current weather and see predicted weather up to a few days. You can see rain, wind speed and where clouds are expected to go. You can pinpoint a specific area on the map to see the weather as it effects that pinpoint. I’d like to be able to set more than one pinpoint at a time if possible. That would make it even better. You can see current fires and temperatures. I use this app all the time for weather updates on moving storms for myself and people I know in other areas. The weather is shown above the land mass with lines to separate the states. But you can also look at the entire planet. I use it almost every day.

Best visual tool. I’m an astrophotographer and need to know where cloud cover is. Most weather apps show infrared depictions of what’s overhead which doesn’t tell me anything about visual transparency. This app shows me exactly what I’ll see if I go out and look up. If I could purchase it to lose the ads I would.

Files with previous major storms such as Hurricanes. Will you happen to have files that can be accessed that contain major storms that happened a week ago. Thank you

Probably the one of the best apps I’ve ever had. So good I took time out of my day to write a 5 star review. Awesome app with lots of features and different layouts. Satellite imagery from the present and past. Plz don’t ever become pay to use app like trailforks did.

Rising star above the rest!. This app has come a long way since I found it. This latest update just put the app to one of the most detailed weather apps with the simplicity of never going beyond the main page. No submenus, no complicated paths to get lost in. All menu options are placed eloquently along the edges of the screen (ipad for me), not obtrusive or in your way of viewing the product whether it be satellite, radar, temperature history to any other important product that the weather services provide planet wide. While some other apps may provide highly detailed data, I have not come across another app with the simplicity of navigation like this app provides.

Incredible functionality and map layers, new Zoom Earth app is great.. I have been using Zoom Earth for years before it became an app. I love the functionality and different map layers that both the website and app provide. I use Zoom Earth all the time for looking at both live and HD satellite views, along with wildfires and precipitation. I was so excited to see that they created an app for Zoom Earth, and I immediately downloaded it. It is just like the website, except you don’t have to use a web browser. 5 stars out of 5, I would highly recommend Zoom Earth to weather nerds like me.

It’s finally an app!. I love this website, and it’s my favorite place to track weather all around the world! If you’re a meteorology student, or just fascinated by weather, or like to keep track of what’s going on around, this app is great for that!

Tracking Francine!. We are in the path and I’ll be using this app to track everything. Better graphics than any other app I’ve had. This looks like a direct hit for us.

Zoom earth. The only app I have that struggles with the internet other than this I really love the satellite loops the radar loops with wind speeds & directions I can see everything on here I wish my old app would show this is why I choose to stick with zoom earth but it is very annoying to always see slow internet when none of my other apps struggle and this is why I give it a 4 star not perfect but getting closer.

My new favorite app just in time for Hurricane season. I am still finding out what this can do but it is exceedingly user friendly. It would be a great addition would be a toggle for latitude and longitude. Will add more as it is used which will be constantly. Thank you!

Wish I knew about this app sooner!. I don’t know how I haven’t come across this app until now! It is fantastic, with near-live satellite images, fantastic and accurate data and the most user friendly UI I’ve ever seen. If you want to monitor storm systems, hurricanes or weather conditions/predictions generally then this is the app for you. The satellite imagery and tool to measure distances between storms and other points is uniquely useful.

Well done!. Thank you for this app. It actually allows views of real time storms which is very helpful when planning evacuation, preparing, and to date is much more user friendly than all those spaghetti models!

Relief. I get so upset during hurricanes and tropical weather, having this app to look and see where the location is and all the information about the storm quickly and easily gives me a feeling of relief!

This is the Best Storm Tracker. I can’t believe this app isn’t more popular. It is hands-down the best tracker out there. I just downloaded another app with storm literally in its name and the current hurricane headed to Hawaii doesn’t even show up. I open Zoom Earth and it’s instantly there with beautiful colored lines tracking dates and intensities. I’ve been using this app for six years and it has never let me down. I lived in Japan, Florida, and Hawaii and have been through many typhoons as well as hurricanes. THIS IS THE APP!

Finally!. I was waiting for a long time that Zoom Earth would be available as an app. Living in an hurricane zone in the Caribbean I need reliable information to be prepared for such an event. Zoom Earth provided me already professional information on your website and have used it for quite some time. In combination with Storm Shield I’m using the information I am able to gather are impeccable for me.

Thankful. I am a student studying abroad and I was in a hurricane. When we had wifi I found this app and it allowed me to see what I couldn’t and it gave me peace of mind know for just a little bit before the wifi shut off how the hurricane was shifting and gave me a sense of what was going on. I am very thankful for this app that allowed me to prepare for the unpredictable.

I use this everyday. I use this everyday for updates in specific cyclones, or just wanting to see other strong storms. It’s very useful because you can see other storms and where they’re at. The map overlays are well made.

Greatest Weather App. I have not seen/used a weather app I actually liked since DarkSky was bought out by Apple. This app has amazing features and graphics and I love that you can view a future cast well into the future to help for planning for catastrophic storms. I’m so glad to have finally found a legitimately great weather tracking app.

Fantastic App. This app is it. I like the over aesthetics of the UI and its friendly usability. Maybe in future updates you can add the whole forecast and 10-14 day forecast per location to it…. Just a thought. Great work, though! Very, Very satisfied with the Pro pricing to get rid of ADs. Most certainly a value for the money!

Real time weather that puts you at the helm. what an amazing weather app and just what we needed in storm prone areas. we can see the storms approaching in real time, look at wind speeds, radar, satellite, pressures, rain fall. This also lets us see future casts that can help in storm preparation. weather is a science, this levels the playing field.

Working Weather. This app helps people who live outside to anticipate their weather. Various views help to anticipate winds, precipitation, temperatures, or cloud cover, as well as providing a bird’s eye view of surroundings (like fires, smoke, etc). Nearly instantaneous perspectives can make a huge difference for people who are exposed to the elements. If you desire to understand the science behind weather and forecasting, visit NCAR just SW of Boulder, CO. All the weather channels get their data from the USA government data, then repackage it. The supercomputers have made incredible progress during the last half-century. Zoom Earth has brought out quite a few features that still seem like science fiction, but they are amazingly accurate on the ground (especially when viewed on a tablet).

Zoom Earth. I have just become knowledgeable of this app! I am so thankful and am enjoying learning! I so hope this will stay FREE to the public! All any any of my other weather alerts! Want paid! I’m hoping my Taxes have paid for some of this! It is wonderful! Thank you!!!!

Great app, needs one improvement!. When used on a smaller screen, the Weather Map selection box on the left side of the screen can be a problem. This box takes up too much space and just needs a way to be closed or minimized added. This simple change would make the app perfect in my opinion.

So many features!. I honestly don't get how all of this is free. You can track weather systems, feels like temperatures, air pressure, and even wildfires (and much more that I don't have time to explain in one review)! This feels a lot like an app a professional meteorologist would use, and there are no pop-up ads as well! Incredibly amazing and convenient, deserves the highest rating possible.

This has been by far the BEST…..I mean…. BEST!!! About Radar App ever.,. I really like this App and recommend it to any one who really cares and looks forward to learn about World Radar and learn appreciate how for thousands and thousands of years have ended up with deserts and jungles.

Why I love Zoom Earth. Zoom Earth shows a satellite view of what’s actually going on. It doesn’t show an extended forecast, but will show you all the information for current conditions (temperature, precipitation, real temperature, and heating index temperature,winds) You can find any major storms -such as a hurricane. When hurricane Beryl came through, it was forecasting exactly where it was going to go. I felt that the forecast was extremely accurate. You can look at the weather- anywhere

The best one so far. I really like this app. It gives more information than the others in real time. I can zoom in on an area I believe will spin up a hurricane much sooner than before.

Not accurate. It isn’t very useful during hurricanes as it only shows two models and it is not accurate. For one model (GFS) it shows, shows Milton making landfall and only producing wind of 69 mph. It’s making landfall as a CAT 3, that is not accurate! It would be EXTREMELY useful if it added the remaining major models as well as the projected impacts of the current NHC track and the correct forecast. I think it can be dangerously misleading for hurricane prep and do not recommend!!!

Excellent Resource. Family is in Jamaica… they sent me this app to download before the hurricane hit and I have been able to send him updates via text as he has no internet…

Cyclone Fina. Just got this app in the face of Cyclone Fina, spent 36 hours straight getting vessels. vehicles and marine assets ready just in case! I had to drive into the direction of the blow to retrieve a large sided vulnerable vehicle! I would have gone any regardless of an unknown position of the cyclone but this app was the best in enabling decisions based on facts! From colour coded rain to measuring distances etc, It’s a good one!

Super accurate. I used this app during the cyclone that went through Townsville, and the precipitation forecasting model was 100% spot on. (I am based 400km west of Townsville). I trust this more than BOM.

Helpful. This is really helpful monitoring the forecast intensity and location of the typhoon.

Useful worldwide image. I do a quick check of a region where I know family or friends live or are traveling to get an idea of their weather. Also see how hot spots are traveling around as our planet warms!!!!! Oh dear!!

Great information. I have had this app 2 days and it has overtaken my weather app for usefulness. Google ads are minimal, a small bar at the bottom I hardly notice and do not interfere with app or flash, not annoying at all. The detail this app provides is amazing..fires, cyclones, rain, cloud cover, humidity, precipitation..the list goes on. I dont usually review apps unless they are very bad, but this deserves all its stars.

Great app with loads and loads of features. This app has so much to offer, ranging from weather radars to satellite imagery. Just a pointer though, the imagery of this app isn’t Crystal clear, so you can’t see houses or buildings at all.

Great for looking at weather maps! Highly recommend. The app has a nice user interface, easy to use, you can look at different maps and slide the timeline to watch how the weather patterns might change or look at previous weather patterns. It has good cyclone tracking. You can add different overlays on the map so you can see actual rain fall and wind direction. The app is great! One addition would be to be able to look at longer forecasts, would be handy to see further ahead at possible rainfall

How do I make contact?. I've tried to message you but keep getting a server error your end. There doesn't seem to be a way of actual contact. The contact feature through the app is repeatedly failing. How do I access the 10 day forecast feature offered for Pro users? I'm running Google Earth Pro on an IPad Pro.

Kazz. I really liked the old format where the weather radar would show current radar and continuously guide us to 3 days in advanced. Now it only shows up to a few minutes in advance.

Main perk is the satellite images. Original rating: Many of the features of this app that are available on laptop for free are locked behind paywalls on mobile. A sinister thing to do, especially on an app used by many for weather awareness. Use this, but in the website form on your computer if you can. EDIT: My fault, I didn’t see the additional menu as it is in a different spot on mobile. I quite like this app and have changed the star rating to reflect that. It has useful and important info attached to the tropical weather systems that is publicly available. I use it often.

Great App. I am a Lighthouse Keeper and I find this app an extremely useful tool, ring able to see the future cast is awesome.

bugs on radar, but good. sometimes on the “radar” part, you can see rain up to 199mm/h in coverage zones in like a rectangle, sometimes theres also snow and hail and its just a rectangle of rain, hail and snow, but it definitely isnt there its good tho

Good app for transportation workers. It’s a good app to know the current and predict near future weather trends especially if you’re on the roads as part of your daily work schedule . Obsessed. I absolutely love this app! I get lost just watching the animation while checking for tropical storms and hurricanes. It is by far the most accurate app I have found.

Super helpful for travel. I’m on work assignment in SE China. This app is very helpful during typhoon season for scheduling trips. Also, I do a lot of motorcycle traveling, so knowing the forecast can help decide a route.

Game changer. Zoom Earth was a game–changer for me when it first debuted and I still depend on it for current and historical satellite views of significant events. During hurricane intercepts, I use it (and other tools) for tracking purposes. Amazing app!

Missed my meteorologist calling. Since Hurricane Lee, I’ve been obsessed with learning about hurricanes and tracking the weather. This app has done it for me and it’s so cool to look at. I am always checking it and have it on my desktop too.

Love Zoom Earth. generally pretty accurate except when it comes to “rain” in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Right now the prediction is for “cloudy” and it is “raining” lightly . My neighbor often records measurable amounts of moisture on her rain meter when prediction does not include “ rain”.

Family Travel. My family frequently travels to several countries. It’s comforting to see on Zoom Earth, the complete weather conditions - where they travel to.

From Tampa. Currently its future forecast for Hurricane Helene has it tracking well east of its cone with the eye going east of Perry, FL. This causes future tracking of wind gusts in my area to be much higher then what almost all models aggregate. I’m really just curious where it gets its future tracking for it to go pretty well outside of the cone it has pictured in its own forecast.

Favorite Weather App. The satellite images and the hurricane tracking tools are phenomenal! I live in Puerto Rico and it’s super useful to be able to track hurricanes with days in advance. 🙌🏼

Best app for tracking storms. This is the best live app for tracking storms. I hate those drawings used for meteorologists forecasts. People are not seeing the Real storm from a satellite view with those drawings. This is the best combination of forecast and live movement. Great app!!

Best home information. We use this from Trinidad & Tobago as I travel home to Florida. Weather between these two locations are important for smooth transiting.

This is a terrific program. I’ve been using Google Earth to plot points supplied by the NHC. I then use Adobe Photoshop to draw the projected path and roughly draw the wind zones. This program does it all. I love it!

A Very Human Way of Seeing The Westher. Without graphs and tables this wonderful continuation of the Zoom Earth pre GoogleMaps project, projects the weather in the most accessible way. Thank you people for making it so.

Very helpful to track hurricanes trajectory. During hurricane Milton I used this app to keep a close tracking of the landfall trajectory and decide when and where to evacuate. Very helpful and easy to use.
