Can’t get app to open. Ever since this app changed formats I cannot get it to open… I get alerts but can’t open the app to read any articles.. This version is horrible . Also I couldn’t post this review with one star, had to put 5 to post SMH

Not User Friendly. It is very hard to find a segment that you watched on TV to get the information you may have missed. In this day and age it shouldn’t be this hard to find information on this app. Other local TV stations have easier app.

I want the old app back. Ever since they updated this app it now has loud commercials like the others. Can’t navigate it like before or read in silence. The app freezes so you can’t move locations in the app.

Used to be good. Not sure what happened but this app is now terrible enough I’m leaving a review. Even at local news hours, it’s a crapshoot if you get local news or some random newscast from around the country. If it plays at all. 3/4 of the time I get a video playback error. And way too many commercials. If I wanted news from somewhere else I’d get a different app. This is dreadful. Please fix it.

Tired off the same story…. Please lets focus on something else now.. there wasn’t that much time spent on the state troopers that killed the black man an the governor seems to have know about the incident… what’s going on with those officers an why are they still employed… I seems like all 8 talk about now is the mayor and / or the chief off police.. give us More news not tabloid stories.. I hate the news now.. I use to watch 8 every day all day.. it seems like y’all are just over killing the situation…

Fox 8 Weather App. When Will The New Fox 8 app Be Out they Said On The News Today That They Have A New App Out I just updated this app this morning And Every time I open it this App goes off can somebody please help me I like this App I like to read the News it might still have A Bug

Ads ugh. This app is getting to be a pain to use. The ads popping up randomly and frequently are just unnecessary. It’s my favorite news app but just don’t want to fool with it because of this. Seems like it just started recently, if it’s some type of bug it’d be great to have it fixed.

George Floyd. Getting tired of Fox8 constantly reminding people about George Floyd. Liz Reyes had this graphic video on the news last week and now I see it on my phone. Keep dividing the country. The police officers who were there , especially the officer who caused him to die, are all going to prison. What else are you looking to do. I hope your ratings go way down.

Old version much better. The new version is horrible. The stories are repetitive and this version is not as easy to navigate. Bring back the old version.

Unusable. Since the new version, I cannot open a story to read it. I click on the story, it shows up for a second, then disappears and just shows a blank page. On the iPad, it’s even worse. This used to be my news source - no more.

Notifications Lock App. When I go to notifications, the app freezes.

Fox 8 News Apps. Way overburdened by long Adds. We get so many adds no one is influenced by them. They make the app a waste of time

No more channel 8 news for me!. After decades of loyalty to channel 8 news, weather and sports, I sadly have chosen to move on to other news, weather and sports sources who do not interject false political accusations of our previous president and very little about our current most incompetent president of all times. This is a local news channel , not a George Soros propaganda source. I will miss the great weather crew most of all.

Scam to the Elderly. You have ads that mislead the elderly thinking it is coming from Medicare or Social Security that actual coming from Scammers. You can only change your Advantage plan is at the end of the year before 12/31/ or you pay a late fee. Everyone else received extra help during this covid 19 time, but the elderly food up, gas up and medication up. It’s has been a terrible year for the elderly with no Doctors, Ochsner not treating us right. We need help, Not scams Please stop this ads on T. V ., web site.

Notification do not coordinate with website. Sorry to criticize your app and website system but it leaves a lot to be desired. You send a notification text about a breaking issue, you click the notification that brings you to the mobile website and the issues you texted about is nowhere on the cover webpage, that is if you can get past the full page adds to get there. Sorry, it’s really useless.

Could be much better!. I have this app to get local news, but many of the stories lack depth, leaving me with unanswered questions. On top of that, there are many grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors. Don’t they have editors?

What’s with the update?. Ever since the update, the app crashes before it opens. I can’t read the news, check the weather, nothing. Please fix!

Bring Back The Old Weather Radar. I used to use this app almost exclusively for the weather radar. After an update about a month ago, the radar changed dramatically and not in a good way. It takes me more clicks to get there, and the radar is awful. The old radar could give me accurate weather within a block on my location. I can’t always zoom in and zoom out with the new radar.

Morning News. I never was one who would wake and turn on the news, however one morning I did. I watched and enjoyed it so much. We see so much going on with crime, in politics and Mother Nature, but yet fox8live morning news lightens up all the horrible things they need to report by bringing laughter to the news. Life is serious enough but you have to have laughter and humor in your life.

Best Live News & Weather Apps. I have tried other news apps but FoxLive news & weather apps are the best of them all. Keep up the excellent work on get out news& weather alerts. Go FOX8****

Extremely disappointed. Won’t update. Was a better app before last update. Horrible service.

News for LOCALS. I used to only look at the other 2 stations news apps. But once those apps updated, all you get is ADS and SPONSERED news from around the country and you can't weed out the local news from the bloat news. Fox 8 news app features our own local news and it's not shoved over with bloat news and ads. Please, Fox 8, please do not change your app to look like the others!

Advertising. Just got a tornado warning on the phone. Switching back to Fox 8 on the TV and the power goes out. Tried to go to the app and have to navigate through commercials to get to the critical weather report. Seems like in those situations you forgo the revenue and get to the appropriate screen right away. Gary Gamble La Place

New format. Don’t like the new update/format! Go back to a simple list of the news

Better reporting than Wwl. I like that the reporting is better than most local news apps but it gets so crowded out by all the trashy ads that I easily frustrate when trying to use it. Take out the ads. Also. Please have a local news section even a Northshore news section would be great too. I don’t like that all of the news is all mixed together. I really don’t care about all the sports or entertainment news in my regular news feed.

DON’T Download Latest APP. Downloaded the latest app and wasn’t able to view this app any longer. Title page comes up and then the program stays/hangs there. Have iPad running iOS 14.4.2.

Bad update. Your new update on the mobile app is not good! There was nothing wrong with the app before you updated it and now I would rather find another news app. Ads pop up randomly while reading and the the app is messy. No good flow to it!

Older Version was Better. Hate the New Update of the Fox News App. The older Version was way better. You can’t minimize the live news RC, an do other things on your phone anymore. The display of the news is very unorthodox. They make using the app more of something you have to fully engage in, where as before you can stay up to date on the News while on a go.

Fox 8. Always satisfies with info I get from them.

Will not load. Down loaded the app on my I-7 and it will not load. The The Spinney thing just keeps going in circles and more circles and more circles and will not load. - Useless

ED Commercials in the morning????. You may not want this channel on in the morning before school aged children are headed out to school. ED commercials are not appropriate in the morning. We switched to the local NBC morning news and they also have ED commercials so now we’re watching the local CBS morning news show and so far so good. In the evening we’re all about Fox News. But cannot handle local fox in the morning; I don’t care to explain to my 12-year-old son what ED is.

Font too small. This app used to have a decent sized font that made it easy for older folks to read. New app had feature to adjust it, but it didn’t work. Looks like they removed that completely now but the fonts are still really small. Just lost this reader!

Good app. Didn’t give 5 stars cause i get notification on Lock Screen that something new is there (number beside icon) when I go to the app there is no indication of what is new. Clicked notification icon and nothing is there.

Professionals. The cast of news anchors is amazing at their jobs. I Look forward to seeing the funny aspect of the broadcast and the serious portion of the news daily. I appreciate all of the news personnel in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Thank you all.

Dependable.. I depend on wvue for news, sports and especially weather. The staff has earned my trust.

The App on the TV. I can’t play the news on my smart tv. The App isn’t available 😔 otherwise I love this news

Fox 8 app. I’m not a big fan of the new fox8 app. It’s not like the old app where you can get on and go straight to the news . Instead now they have advertisements playing when we should be able to get the news not random advertisements.

App crashes when trying to open. The title says it all. Immediately after tapping on the app, it crashes. Over and over again.

NOLA News. I like that you can swipe from story to story. Great Saints coverage.

Too many ads now .. Used to be a great app, but now it’s just as bad as the others . It’s almost impossible due to the positioning to not click on an ad while scrolling . I’ll be deleting off phone and iPad . Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves for selling out

Does not work!!!. This app does not work, I am deleting it from my phone! I get news alerts, and when I try to get into them, the app never opens, very frustrating!

New update. The new layout of the app is not user friendly. In fact is appears smaller in font and more of a pain to get to multiple stories because you have to scroll so far down to make sure you actually see all the news. I feel the pictures take up to much space and what happened to the “Trending” portion of the news?! That was the interesting part because you knew it was the most updated part of the news. Not happy with it at all.

Review. The previous app was much easier to navigate. There are at the end of scrolling down stories that are weeks, if not months old. Either update them or delete them. Plus, I really dislike advertisements. I’m looking for news, not advertising.

FOX 8 is the best BUT .... FOX 8 is the best, but the new app is awful. The app is not user friendly and the adds are way too much. I used this app several times a day, but I will not be using as much, it’s frustrating. Please do something about this app. Thanks!

Too many ads. Tried to watch the news live through the app and all I got was an infomercial for a skin cream that wouldn’t end. A 20 or 30 second add is understandable but not an infomercial. I’m done - deleting this app. I’ll get my local news elsewhere.

Annoying sounds and no where to turn it off!. I can’t use this app when I’m public b/c of the annoying sound/music

Why build an app. First off, I have never received the live stream through this app. I can go to the website and get it. Second, all the news story headlines are browser links. This app has been horrible. I have a better experience by using safari, and adding the homepage bookmark to my home screen. The video links are the most annoying with 30 second ads, and if there is an interruption, ie phone call, you have to re-watch the ad.

Best local tv app. Easy to navigate. Great video links

Needs a lot of work/extremely aggravating. When you open the app, it goes straight to an advertisement that sits there for a few seconds then allows you to exit. Most of the time when you click the x, it takes you to safari and tries to load the Fox News website. You have to go back to the app to access it. The push notifications seem like they just want to make sure you know that you have the app. If you do click on the notification, (and after you go through the previous complaint) the story is nowhere to be found. You have to dig through the app to find it... I've had the app for awhile but I'll be deleting it now.

Minimal news & weather at best!!!. It works, the weather is minimal. It would be hard to put less weather and still call it weather. If it wasn't for Lee Zurik I would not use the app. WWL is a much better app but they don't have Zurik. Hopefully it will improve with time.

Remove the Ads. Listen up Fox News 8 of New Orleans: I deleted your app because when I click on a news app, I am looking for news. Not ads that won't go away. The ads won't go away after thirty seconds and there isn't a skip ad or an exit button. Nothing. If I try clicking on the screen it takes me to the advertising company's webpage. I don't want siding or gutters or whatever it is you're trying to sell me. I want news. So I deleted your app and I am keeping WGNO's app. It's much simpler to use.

Not opening. App immediately closes

Can open but not down load. I would really like to down load this app but it only allows you to open it. I guess every time I want to see what's going on on Fox I have to go through the extra steps. Other than that I love fox 8 New Orleans.

Bad app. The ads on the live stream is crazy. They cut the news short to throw in an ad.

Crashes. I enjoy the app but it constantly crashes and closes. It never fails- everytime I open the app it's like it times out for some reason and closes. This is the second device that it has occurred on.

awesome news app. The iPad version of this app is the best news app I have ever seen. Very cool looking and easy to scroll through everything. Great, up-to-date news. I highly reccomend this app

Cannot watch the live stream. For months now, I have been unable to get a live stream to play the news. This used to be my primary way of getting the news. I'm about to delete the app, if it's not fixed.

Where's the APP?. No new App is available. It's not in the App Store.

Too many Trump Ads. Nice content but way too many Trump ads!!! Not everyone wants to read local news and be reminded of the country’s pathetic president.

I love it!. The app works nicely but I would have liked it more if it sent out news notifications.

Loss of channels. When there is a fight between ATT-U-verse and local channels the consumer is the loser. I have sent this same review to ATT-U-verse.

New Version....(sigh). Well... I was going to raise my stars to 2 stars after they fixed the video from changing from horizontal to vertical but... alas... the app now crashes at random in the middle of a video or at the end of a video. They are still not updating their video segments much and instead of news its all of their "Fluff" stories. (whos having a fund raiser, how to cook something, silly junk) Barely any news. I would also like to see some function that allowed me to start the first video and it play all of them in the order they are listed as well as being able to just select one story to view.

Little local news ... Almost no video. Great app for keeping up with the Saints, and whatever national stories Fox News is reporting, but local news is buried. The few stories that do include video almost always crash the app.
