Stop Objective Reporting!!. I’ve been a regular viewer of this local news station for quite some time, and I genuinely enjoy staying informed through your daily broadcasts. However, I’ve recently noticed a shift in the tone and presentation of certain stories that feels more aligned with specific political perspectives. As a viewer, I value balanced, fact-based reporting that allows individuals to form their own opinions. Lately, some segments seem to lean toward promoting particular policies or ideological viewpoints rather than simply presenting the facts. This can make it difficult to distinguish between objective reporting and commentary. Local news plays an important role in the community, and with that comes a responsibility to remain as neutral and unbiased as possible. There are already countless sources of opinion and influence—what many viewers are looking for is straightforward, factual information. I hope to see a return to more neutral, fact-driven reporting moving forward, as I would truly like to continue watching and supporting this station.

Advertisers. This app, other than the written headlines is like reading a gossip magazine. The advertisements for the race course are annoying. The lists of ‘fake’ news at the end of the news reports (like selling snake oil) are at best non-news at most click bait. Surely, in the state of Alabama there are sponsors who are reputable and news worthy. This would be considered ‘redneck’ news in my home state of Maryland.

WBRC Fox6 For Cord Cutters. I’ve been a cord cutter for 2 1/2 years. I really appreciate the fact that WBRC Fox6 News keeps me informed on my local news, what’s happening in my area, the weather and storm & tornado watches. I can watch Live on on demand on my iPhone , Chrome Book, Roku and Firestick so that I’m informed constantly. Thank you. WBRC FOX6 FOR CORD CUTTERS!!

National News connection. The app does not show an option to view National news? (Unless me the older app you could view either or?? Early review is low, search needs to improve or access to all news needs to appear.

Best news station!. I love knowing I can always count on WBRC for fast accurate news in my corner of the world in addition to what is happening in the rest of the world. Thank you for being the best all around news station!

Takes too long to load. Since the “new” FOX6 app launched it takes forever for the app to open to read a story from a notification. If you leave the app, the notification is gone. Very frustrating. I’m switching to another local station for notifications until the bugs are worked out.

Overbearing ads. I have always enjoyed being able to open the app and get quick access to current news stories. In recent times though these new ads that take multiple clicks to get cleared off before I can open the app or go story to story have gotten ridiculous. If these type of ads continue I will delete your app and go to another news outlet that doesn’t bombard me with game and unnecessary ads .

Notifications. On iOS when you click a notification about a story, it clears the rest of them. Very frustrating to then have to go find the other stories.

I like the news not the sponsors. I wished there was another way to include the sponsors other than having to wait 60 seconds for the news to load. Often I will switch to another news source for a quicker response. The weather is the absolute worst.

Not user friendly. It always opens with the same ad that you have to X out to even open to the news. Then the opening page is messy. Too many squares to sort through. Developer needs to look at other news apps to get it. The user is looking to Fox because of their news content. The television version is great…make it happen with the app.

Alerts. I like & prefer to have Fox 6 WBRC as my news & weather source. So of course when the app became available I downloaded it. I did choose the option for notifications & allowed those to be sent to me via text message. Unfortunately the much softer, lower volume alert tone has changed in volume & tone & is much too loud for me to continue get the notifications. I can’t be the only one who’s complained about this change.

Was my favorite. It looks like the adds are taking over. Is no longer my go to for local news.

New update ugh. I have always enjoyed this app but the update took a turn for the worse. Miss the trending option for the news section. Top articles in feed are two days old. Link leads to page not found. The newsfeed is also difficult to distinguish ads from articles. Also way too many ads.

Wonderful app. This is a wonderful app on my iPhone and iPad to get caught up on the news and weather. I just wish the app was available for Apple TV .

Extremely disappointed. I used to be able to watch the news, now I just get commercials when I try to watch live. Same commercials just repeating itself endlessly. After many years, it’s time for me to find a new local news team.

Good coverage quickly. Breaking news available soon after it happens.

Wonderful weather team. Per a post that was made saying that their are way to many weatherman/woman on fox 6…. Keep dong an amazing job…Mickie n the morning and Wes thru out the day. I love Fox 6 whole cast from the anchorman’s,sports and the weather team. Yes James spann is the status quo but there are other amazing Meteorologist out there such as this group.

Weather. They are too many people telling the weather you don’t need 6 or more to tell the weather there needs to be a change up and lineup You only need a few to tell the weather

I love it.. Thank you for this news app it keeps me informed about what’s happening in our city. I don’t always have time to look at the news so thank you.

It could be better. The app is okay, nothing to write home about . Too many mornings it displays day-old news, and takes too long to get up to date. But the worst parts are the poor grammar, misspellings and bad syntax that make so many articles difficult to read. Sometimes articles that tell of an event coming up fail to tell when!!!

Great news team, horrible app!. This app is terrible! The ads are larger than the news stories which makes it impossible to navigate. Plus, when you click on a notification for a specific new story, you aren’t taken to the story. Instead, you are taken to a full screen ad that you have to close out of, only to then have to search for the story.

Alerts lead to hours old story. The overall design and features are designed well. The issue is the reports are not updated. It's frustrating to get news alert notification, click to read and get the original report posted hours ago. Why give an alert and not publish the details?

Awful App. I love watching this news but this is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. It freezes up and I constantly have to click the play button to restart it. Sometimes it won’t play so I have to back out of the app and restart it. Also a commercial will just play right in the middle of the news. Then they play so long when the news comes back on it looks like it’s already been on and I miss parts of it. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app and tried turning my phone off and back on. Nothing helps so I’m just going to delete this app.

I love it. It’s very informative and you can see what is going on in your home town and other areas.

Notifications getting annoying. When I first downloaded the app a few months ago, it was great because notifications were almost entirely limited to breaking news. Now the notifications come up for promos for things like podcasts, On Your Side segments, and Nick Saban postgame press conferences. Pretty annoying. I deleted the app today.

Most accurate weather forecast in Western Hemisphere. Mickey Ferguson is, without a doubt, the greatest meteorological mind in the business. The man knows his weather. We rely on his forecasts daily. Around here we have a saying, “If Mickey don’t predict it, it ain’t gonna happen.”

Updates are terrible. This used to be one of my favorite go to apps for news however updates make it very frustrating. There are too many ads, font is odd and layout isn’t user friendly.

WBRC Channel 6 Birmingham. My very favourite TV show is Absolutely Alabama with the masterful Fred Hunter. I grew up with 3 TV channel options until I was 10 years old when Alabama Public Television first aired from Mount Cheaha. I remember going outside next to the chimney and turning our quite tall TV antenna from Birmingham to Cheaha and back again because I simply had to see Tom York and Pat Gray! Thank you so much for these 63 years of service to me.

The ads!. The ads are like that overly enthusiastic friend who barges in when you're trying to enjoy a quiet evening. I'm here for the latest news, not some app shouting, "Download this game to save the universe!" Seriously, I didn’t sign up for intergalactic warfare—just give me my headlines!

Fox 6 News. I’ve been watching fox 6 news every since I was a kid. The way I work I can’t watch every day. But this app keeps me updated.

Sports news. This channel gives news on Auburn football and even UAB football before AL football gets reports on scores and other Alabama football related news!! Why?

Full page ads are the worst. After several attempts to have them change the way they present full page ads, I am going to turn off all notifications and use another news source. These ads are for various games that cannot be dismissed without triggering the App Store to open. Then once you close the App Store there is an option to dismiss the ad. I understand the need for revenue for this free service but it’s gotten out of hand. I love my FOX6 news team and I will continue to watch them on TV but apparently their leadership is seeking ad revenue above viewer’s loyalty to the point that I won’t be using their news app.

Notification issue with upgraded app. Since the app upgraded, I now show a notification on the icon but cannot find a notification. I have clicked on every clickable category and even deleted and reinstalled the app but there is still a “1” by the icon. And the share icon has stopped working

Ads are insufferable. WBRC is one of the FEW apps that I have notifications for. Literally every article that I see that entices me to open the app is met with a 30 second un-skippable ad that is loud and obnoxious…. THEN, once I arrive to the article/story I want to read, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to navigate because (SURPRISE SURPRISE) ADS - across the entire page. Pulling the plug and deleting the app. Here’s hoping ABC 33/40 is more tolerable

Debate. If you are going to report on the presidential debate, don't use CNN as a reference. We already know they are biased and report fake news! There was no mention in your article about Biden saying his son has not received any donations from the Russian mayor! Your article looked like it was more biased favoring Biden than anything. It was also mentioned on local TV news about the sheriff in Portland did not support Trump as he said. That was never fact checked. You did not contradict anything Biden lied about on your tv news. Just another example of being biased!

WAY to many ads and click bait. IWould prefer to see the story that I click on and not be redirected to the Wetumpka casino resort and spa. Stick to the news. I understand capitalism, but keep your ads tucked into the article actually select and do not direct me to somewhere else. I’ll be deleting this app if I don’t see changes soon.

Review of channel 6 weather. We very definitely depend on channel 6 and all the wonderful people on staff there. They are very good about giving warnings and getting it right. Please keep up the good work and God bless you all for helping to keep us safe.

Good app. I love this app for all the news locally but being half blind the small print is hard to read. Please increase the font or add a feature where the readers can increase the font.

The new interface stinks. I will probably not be using this app going forward. It offers no current headlines or stories if interest when open the app, just a collection of mini apps that take you elsewhere to actually find something of interest. Poorly designed in my opinion.

Best Alabama news app. Keeps me informed of weather, news and traffic. Loads fast. Love the live stream. Best local and state news in the state.

Ads. I have always enjoyed receiving the periodic news alerts from this app. But lately the ads have been out of control. These gaming ads pop up and you can’t simply click the “X” to get rid of it. Extremely annoying. I come to the app to find quick news updates, but lately find myself regretting that I even opened the notification.

Fox 6. I really like the news and weather app. I really like getting the alerts. Good job fox 6.

Awesome ad hosting platform!. This is a great app to use if you’re looking for new windows or interested in gambling. As for the actual news, you’ll spend more time trying to figure out how to close the full screen advertisement (some you can’t, you have to force close the app and relaunch). Same issue with WBRC weather app. This used to be great, but I guess greed strikes again.

Update has a critical flaw. I enjoy this app for local news but the recent update has a huge flaw that will not allow me to open the app anymore. It flashes open then appears to shut down but is still running in the background. When I try to force it up from on my phone, it flashes again. I hope you’ll be able to fix this flaw quickly.

Not good. The old app was much better. Looks like the new design was just to add bigger more annoying ads. When scrolling it’s hard not to get one of the large ads in the screen. It was much nicer to have a small photo of the story on link. Now it’s hard to read the headlines. I understand they need the ad revenue, but you should not sacrifice quality and readability in the process.

Online news app.. Whenever I try to use the Six on Your Side news app to watch the newscast at night, on weekends, or on holidays, it is unavailable, and I receive a station on the West Coast. I don't know if the staff at those times are not competent or just don't care, but it has rendered it useless to me. The weather app is okay.

Depressing. I get several notifications daily from this local news app, nearly every notification is about a murder, kidnapping, fire etc… How about writing some positive articles, maybe some that don’t contribute to the already crappy mental health state of our society. Horrible y’all.

Annoying new alert sound. The new alert sound is very loud and annoying. I always appreciated getting breaking news, but this new alert sounds is awful. I have adjusted to limit the alerts I get, would be great if there was an option for silent alerts. If this keeps up I will not be getting any more alerts.

False reporting on Trump. Only claim Trumps statements are false since it doesn’t agree with your liberal communist ideology. Shouldn’t publish stories from other liberal news organizations. You are going to force your audience to stop watching/reading WBRC!

Political Just The Facts. This was a very slanted liberal viewpoint which I believe was false information. Just turned the channel because I won’t watch fake news on any media.

Not a trusted news source. The station openly supports BLM as shown by their social media posts celebrating BLM Month. An unbiased organization would not do such things, I have deleted the news app and weather app due to this.

App review. I’m fairly satisfied with the news app during the week. It is too sketchy and not updated enough on holidays and weekends. It would be nice to see weekend posting improve.

Crashes. After the last update I cannot access the app. It crashes as soon as I try to open it. This is the only reason I’m giving it one star

2 Steps Back. This used to be s good, easily navigable app. Not anymore. I have deleted the spp after the latest update. So sad.

Used to be my go to local news app. Notice I said USED to be my go to app The app itself is not nearly as good as it was a year ago and their news resources are so biased and liberal that they can hardly be named journalism

Don’t like new format. I used to really enjoy looking and reading the WBRC app. Now, however, it’s just not aesthetically appealing as it once was. I can still get the news from it but I find I don’t look at it as often as I used to. I hate saying that because WBRC is my go to for news!!!

Terrible updates. Weekends and holiday updates are horrible. Lacks content and editing with misspelled wording etc. WBRC has a whole has become very disappointing.

App. When I am in the app reading a story, it disappears from my screen. This is a terrible glitch and the reason I rarely use the app.

The new WBRC App. I hate the new app. It is slow and confusing. The tabs in weather section are too large and sort of in my face. I am in the process of deleting this app and will switch to another news provider.

App changes. This app is starting to act like the weather channel with the popups and tracking. Please keep this app private when in use and stop all the ads. Not user friendly anymore
