Reuters - Breaking World News Comments & Reviews 2026

Can't save or send their best stories. I would give Reuters five stars, BUT: the app doesn't let you save and send their well-written special reports and long reads. Nowhere on those great stories is the save icon. Nowhere is the box 'n arrow icon to send and share. Why is that? Seems like they are trying to squelch their best work and best writers. Weird /:

Readable and factual. I enjoy reading Reuters. It’s a dependable, well researched and written news source. I can follow important news all over the world. My only complaint is that when I finish a story and return to the main page, I’m taken to the top of the page rather than where I left off. It’s minor but can be irritating. Overall, a great source for information and opinion.

Fantastic app. This is one of the best news apps out there. Easy to read. Not too many ads. Affordable subscription. Honest, factual reporting from around the world.

The news rather than views. Reuters remains true to oldfashioned journalism: check your sources and report the news. That approach makes it increasingly stand out against influencers, bloggers and -alas- most major TV stations and newspapers. Do pls keep it that way!

Excellent news app. This is probably the best news app out there. Factual information. No dramatization. No bias. Also appreciate coverage from around the world and not just the US. Keep up the good work!

Worth the $$. I recently started paying for this. It’s time great organizations like this started charging. Accurate reporting of news from all over the world can’t be done for free. Even though I enjoyed it while I could. Plus, I like their, “Trust Principles” in each article!

Font size way too small. I wish I could properly try the content but the font size is just way too small and I have to squint and work hard to read anything… Some parts of the app appear to react to the system text size setting, but most of the text is displayed as one or two sizes smaller than the system default. And some parts like the Live section don’t even appear to honor the system text size. This is horrible and needs to be fixed!

Deleted. Let me tell you why I deleted your app. You require me to subscribe to read your articles while you force ads on me simply to read your news headlines. The reason you pinheads are losing readership is because of these tactics. Be Every bit of news you post is available in multiple other locations without these requirements. Kiss another one goodbye!

Pushy and Dosrespectful. The fact I don’t want another account and Reuters pretty much force you to do so is a really big deal. No application has right or power to such terms of service. Add news is fundamental part of life, To ask people to give if they are able is one thing, but to force membership fees particularly for news is amoral and unethical despicable bad practice more reticent of a tyrant running a country or business for personal profit…

News that IS fit to print.. Recalling the old motto of the New York Times “all the news that’s fit to print” the Reuters app gives quick access to the legitimately important stories of the day. It is definitely worth the low annual subscription price.

Cannot sign in. I like Reuters as a news source and purchased an annual subscription through the App Store using my Apple account. Everything worked well for a few months, but recently I was suddenly logged out and can no longer sign in. Tapping the login button does nothing, and since I’m not logged in, I can’t access the news I’m paying for. Very frustrating experience, and the issue has not been fixed.

Excellent mostly unbiased news source. This app font size on the largest setting in the app can still be difficult to read if your vision isn’t good on very high resolution screens like the newer iPad. It does not use pinch-and-zoom or check the iOS settings or Accessibility settings for font size increases.

Worth Subscribing!. I had a big hurdle to cross initially—paying for the Reuters news service. I decided to try it, and I’m very glad I did. It gives me news succinctly, yet thoroughly. The articles do not ramble, like they do occasionally at AP News. There are also exclusives with substance. I now go to Reuters for my news before checking anywhere else!

Revised review. After being a devout reader for the past 5 years, Ive seen a dramatic shift in the way they choose their stories. Previously a “just the news” unbiased source, Reuters via through Apple news app, is now clearly compromised and obviously a leftist organization that carefully curtails their choice in stories’ coverage and highlights targeted thinkers that tell the story they want people to see. Very concerning, and lost a consistent reader. 4 stars to 1, they are now exactly as reliable as CBS while not being as obvious as CNN.

Another falls to AI. AI “summarization” button appeared this morning. Can’t turn it off. You are the news company, why are you not writing the summaries for your own articles??? Customer support option fails to send email and fails to give you the email address to send to yourself. Tracks you by your identifiers. Enough is enough— the web site and ad blockers will have to do.

Privacy Concerns. Love Reuters. Greatly appreciate their low bias news stories that are usually literate unlike many others. Low bias is something seriously hard to find today. But I won’t download or have the app due to data tracking. My data is mine, not to be used for their profit. This is a dishonest practice, ESPECIALLY since they charge me too! Money from both ends (charge me, sell my data!) is NOT okay. No tracking, staunch privacy - THEN I will download and pay!

News we all need. Reuters has a long history of providing news coverage we all need. There is nothing else quite like it.

Pretty decent. They do a decent job of reporting the news in an apolitical way. It’s all about trust, and I do feel I can trust the information I get from Reuters. Hopefully they remain faithful to this doctrine of just reporting on the world as it is. As always there is another layer or wrinkle to the truth that never sees the light of day, but that’s the case with most legit news sources. They can’t risk their reputation, and I get that.

Not bad. I subscribed a month ago and was reading some articles, and all seemed OK and then I read an article I can’t recall it was a couple weeks ago, but it had the flavor of the left wing media and that left a bad taste in my mouth. I canceled and then started the subscription back again a couple days ago. Because I’ve been jumping from media group to another media group to another. I’m running out of places to run to. You are one of the last ones and as of lately the articles have been pretty much down the middle just reporting the news and that’s what I like. That’s what I’ve always liked. Why can’t anyone just report the news without a spin or twist or BS? Gave it four stars. We’ll see if it flies straight. So far so good.

Reliable source of information.. I consider this news agency a very credible source when looking into the affairs of the United States and everything that’s happening in the world. The reporting is more analytical and less sensational.

Used to be a loyal reader. I have been reading Reuters since 2002, this was one of the best trusted news sites back then. It was very unbiased and professional. I used to love waking up and reading the news everyday, but unfortunately this company has become very liberal. They are fixated with Trump, they never once criticized Biden or cover his mental decline in his four years. And now all they do is wand criticize Trump and the GOP. Reuters has also become anti Israel and are the mouth piece of zelensky

News w/o Bias. Having Reuters to turn to in this era of unprecedented misinformation in America helps me maintain an understanding that the world does see what is happening here. It also gives me hope that other nations will not align with the dangerous policies of the current administration.

Reuters is not neutral!!!. Similarly to WSJ but with less finesse, this news organization sees the world and its problems through liberal lenses. Unfortunately it also suffers from Trump derangement syndrome. It definitely loves globalism and derides any nationalistic sentiment. It doesn’t offer any fresh thoughts or views on the changing world order. Just stupidly blames Trump as if he was responsible for China ambitions for global domination or Russia insatiable appetite for Europe. It never goes deep to explore real causes of these major shifts.

Good News with Ad Bloat. They provide great news. Very informative and I love that. But the ad bloat is unreal. On a browser you’ll deal with 1/3 screen banners, auto play videos, and just nonstop side bar flashing ads. It is just awful from a user experience perspective. There’s ways to stop that but you have to be technical. It would instead be very nice if they simply offered a tier to see NO ads. Why this doesn’t get offered I don’t know. I’d gladly pay up to 20$ a month to not be blitzed with ads. I truly hate them. Pi-hole is my friend and I can get most of the ads cut out at the network layer but I mean, in 2025 if my fan is coming on on your website, you failed to test your site. Bottom line. Please either adjust the user experience in the browser or offer a second tier of pay to see NO ads at all. I’d sign right up. Again, I truly despise ads and they detract from the reading, please take my money and stop blitzing me with ads.

Essential Reporting. Reuters has consistently ranked amongst the most respected news sources. They are providing a very valuable service during this difficult time.

Subscription required now. Used to be able to read all articles without subscription on the app. Then I could read some articles without subscription. Now I can’t read any articles on the app without paying for subscription. But I can read the same exact articles on the website on my browser without a subscription. What a waste…

Great news, good app. Reuters provides a good mix of world news, business news, political news and more. The app presents it well and is not overly stuffed with advertisements. And I just realized the function of the previous Wider Image app is included, under the Media tab. Hurray!

Great but. I just downloaded the app as I wanted a different news source. I’m enjoying it but it won’t let me save anything. I hit the button and nothing happens. Annoying because often I don’t get to finish articles or want to refer to them later.

Reuters - in the know for people on the go.. Retiring early has allowed me to keep on the go. Reuters delivers sharp, clear news I want, need, and reach for first with my busy volunteer schedule. This is the subscription I’ve grown to depend on first thing in the morning, throughout the day, and before lights out. Five out of five stars and one I definitely recommend.

Subscribed but keeps requiring I sign in. Frustrated days into subscription. App constantly requires that I sign in and often it won’t allow me to do so using my Apple account. I am not willing to log in multiple times a week, so I will likely cancel my subscription.

Complete and Balanced Coverage. The new coverage is good an backed with investigated reporting. Reuters avoids two problems common in other sources. The resorts do not focus on individuals associated with the topic, and by not having an obvious geographic base the coverage is of general interest.

Unbiased News. A reliable source of accurate news. Highly recommended!

The Very Best in News. As a subscriber I frequently go to Reuters to get the latest US and world news in a very concise format that is easy to read without the editorializing found on other news feeds.

On point. A trustworthy source - a rare gem in today’s world. The news variety is quite impressive and for me it is a stop on my daily search for accurate and relevant information.

Unfortunately AI Narration. I appreciate the option to listen to articles as audio instead of reading, but I'm sad that they replaced the human voices with AI generated narration Perhaps the Reuters CEO should buy himself a microphone and try doing the actual work instead of automating

Great News - Broken App Verification. Reuters has been a go-to source for accurate, unbiased news. However, I have cancelled my subscription as the app has broken for myself and other individuals and Reuters has made no effort to fix it. Attempting to access the device— across any network configuration— results in a Verification Death Loop. “Verifying the device…” appears briefly on the screen upon opening the app, stating ‘the requested content will be available after verification’ yet it never loads the site after the fact, only prompting me to verify my device again ad nauseam. I love Reuters but this is unacceptable and has forced me to explore different options.

Expecting checked facts from news. In a world where truth lost it’s meaning we certainly need to go as close as possible to the origin of facts. For now, Reuters looks like one of the best sources helping to put order in this upheaval of values.

Another greedy News Reporting. Delete. Reporting all the problems of the world now costs a subscription. Well- I hope it brings on your collapse. I supported so many news companies when they were attacked by MAGA- well- now you want to pick our pockets when we have nothing left to give. Thanks for helping kick the habit. I needed an out from the constant horrific news reporting. Bye.

One of the best news apps. Simple easy access news stories. multiple length videos to recap the news depending on free time.

Real News. All news, no opinions. Highly recommend for factual information on what is happening in the world.

Good but not Great. Reuters is about the most politically “neutral” major news site, but that’s faint praise. I find it slow to report major stories, and the app landing page is poorly designed. Stories need to be organized by topic on the lander, and UK-centric news pushed down the stack. No one else cares abut rivals to the A of C! A week into the conflict and there is no tab for “Iran Crisis” or such!!!

The news as it should be. Breath of fresh air.. A lot of other news outlets seem to be trending toward being platforms designed to drive user engagement as their North Star (games, recipes, auto playing videos on main news screen that you can’t turn off, consumer product reviews that feel like sponsored ads, no control over the sections you see, etc..) while the traditional focus on high quality news and good reading experience goes by the wayside. Very happy to have and support Reuters with a paid subscription.

Broad coverage. Heavy bias. Until somewhat recently this was a go-to news app. They claim right up front to have “unbiased” coverage. This is a laughable claim. While they do report facts they wrap them with all sorts of slants conveying that bias. The only element of their stories that’s reliable is the clear facts that can’t be slanted. Other than that it’s only a mouthpiece for their editors. It’s sad because truly unbiased coverage would be like an oasis in a desert.

So far reviews. Total news is high reliability quotient Dependability accuracy of business news is very valuable love to read Reuters every day much appreciated my subscription and

Bring back the Apple TV App. Bring back the Apple TV App. Using airplay from a mobile device as a poor alternative to just simply having a functional Apple TV app, you guys closed down the app for new downloads years ago, but at least it’s still worked. Today it won’t even connect. Shame.

Refreshing. Refreshing to get news without being told what to think

Best unbiased news. You can always count on Reuters for nonpartisan news without drama. Reuters will never broadcast a table full of anchors getting into heated arguments like others. Keep up the great work!

Like the new app. Always land on Reuters news on aggregators. Tried the Reuters app a few years ago and you could read the articles, but the app didn’t have much if you weren’t interested in the first stories. It also didn’t load properly at times and seemed broken. This one is fun to click around on and the design is great. Works great now. Worth keeping.

Thanks!. Thanks, finally has all of the functionality I liked in the Reuters TV app. Once again this is my favorite news app.

Biased reporting behind headlines. I researched and chose Reuters because the headlines seemed to show less political bias and higher quality presentation. I crave hearing more diverse context behind the attention getting news. But the more I started reading the features and articles on Reuters, the more frustrated I became over hearing political bias and the same old extreme superficial stereotypes. People and events have fascinating complexity. I just want the deeper stories to acknowledge the validity of and help us understand the differing experiences and viewpoints, instead of reinforcing the hate, fear, and stereotypes already present.

Great app. Easy to use. It's my go-to for international news stories.

Fantastic news site. Great app to read world news as Australia only gives very little world news.

The best news product unfulfilled. This is perhaps my singular most go to News app I have ever maintained years on my phone. Unfortunately, it has recently abandoned and no longer serviceable. The intelligent and honest content, it’s understandable format, quirky subtitles all appealed to me in many ways. I’m sorry to see it broken. Hope it comes back.

Boring. Does everything worse than the good old Reuters Pro. Who invented that piece of trash? Fire them.

Would be a 5 star if. The app had a text to speech feature.

What happened to the “Latest News” option?. Bring it back!

Volume of Apple TV too high. Like the app particularly on Apple TV. Being able to choose a feed based on how much time u have is the killer feature. But is it really necessary to double the volume? This is on demand so u don’t have to capture people’s attention. It’s so loud! I have to turn the volume down to half every time I use the Reuters app on Apple TV, and then back up when I’m finished so I can hear the audio on other apps that are at normal volume.

What happened?!?!?!. I really liked Reuters, being able to find chatagories of news that interested me and easy access to them. Nof for some reason in the most recent update thats all gone! Why?!? Its what made this app different

Fails the fact check. “It has long accused Hamas of setting up command and control centres beneath medical facilities in an effort to avoid air strikes. Hamas denies this.” Hamas, who are terrorists, not militants as you repeatedly refer to them across your articles (agenda?) have themselves said they are embedded in civilian infrastructure including hospitals. Didn’t take long to reveal your bias, but in fairness I’m yet to find a news source without one. Disappointed but not at all surprised.

Same old article dubbed as breaking news. I’m following an event and would appreciate not having to read the same article i read 12 hours ago dubbed as breaking. If you have nothing new on the event then don’t waste my time with copy and paste repetitiveness. Still my choice of news though.

Watchlist bugs. This issue has been around for months and I’ve contacted Reuters about it. When adding a stock to the watchlist it’s then not possible to get out of that page. The only fix is rebooting the phone. Please actually fix it.

My go to... Had a previous complaint which seemed to be resolved, thanks. This app is great overall, lots of content and the UI is customisable which is a nice touch.

Terrible!. No previews for stories and no possibility to get the sports info!! Do not get!!!

Crashes every time. The most recent update keeps crashing. It doesn’t work any more, but this used to be my favourite news app.

Stuck on United States version on Apple TV. I delete & reinstall app, reset app, change settings to “International” but it keeps going back to “United States” edition!

True jounalism of our age. True jounalism in an age of click bait, unchecked bias and political agenda. Real news, honest report, straight fact, no unnecessary opinion, intentional bias or hints of agenda. (Better even than AP IMO) Its not perfect, but its the best newsman-ship you can find around here. May very well be the last frontier of good general public journalism.

Unstable - Doesn't Work. Used to be a good App. Now won't even start on my iPad Pro 12.9.

Inaccessible. Completely useless. Doesn’t work with voiceover for blind people, despite having selected Text Only.

A must have news app. In the days of increasingly unreliable and biased journalism, Reuters is one of just a few that stands out as a trustworthy source. The app is good - stable, easy navigation, etc. And ReutersTV provides a customised news update (I only wish they added support for ChromeCast, as I’d use it daily - would be happy if they added an advert to cover costs)

Why did you remove OLed black dark mode?. Why did you remove the proper black dark mode? It was way better than this crappy grey dark mode

No longer has up to date news. This used to be a great app, but I used it for the latest up-to-the-minute news, and it no longer offers this. On topics I follow I now regularly find the “latest” story is say, “3 weeks ago”, “1 month ago” or even longer. Only the top news feed seems to offer the latest news. As a “news” app this seems to defeat the purpose of using it. I no longer can rely on it and am considering deleting it. I emailed Reuters about this a few weeks ago, and had no reply.

Mostly out of date news. I have Reuters v 3.2.1 on my 6 year old iPad and it is quite good. The latest version on my new iPad has no breaking news less than hours old. It is a complete waste of time. The news feeds are also sometimes a day or so old. The app should be set back to a version that works.

What were you thinking?. I loved the Reuters app. ‘The Wire’ service provided an unfiltered, general and up-to-the-minute news service which was the first thing I looked at in the morning. The upgrade has no such functionality and despite a set up dialogue implyingyou could skew to global news it defaults to Brexit and UK news with nothing else. News Alert: There are people out there for whom Brexit is not so important! My advice to current users? Don’t take the latest ‘upgrade’

Complete crash and fails to load. Used to work well but crashes frequently now. Content is still good though.

New Single Column Format BLOWS!. Deleted it. Hate the new single column (iPhone?) format. Was the best news app on the App Store.

Great Content, Missing Killer Feature. I really enjoy enjoy using the app for both the articles and Reuters TV. The tag system they use to build out a feed works well and the reports are quality. The killer feature Reuters is sitting on here is their “TV” product. While it works fine on the app, they’ve completely missed the opportunity to cast or stream to a bigger screen and unless you own a Roku, I don’t believe you can do this. I would go so far as to recommend this to every single one of my friends (especially those that don’t keep themselves well-informed) if that feature were included because it’s the perfect way to get informed over breakfast or before bed. If I am mistaken please let me know, but I’d love to hear from the devs on this.

Unusable. Full of click bait ads, just like Apple News. Unusable

Old news. Not worth the time to download. Very little real news from Australia and mostly IS centric propaganda.

Finally deleted after forced auto play videos. Not much else to say, I used to love this app and the news it brought. To much has changed over the last 7years, find myself unable to connect to its messaging. Now the app is clunky and it’s time to say good bye. Maybe one day Reuters will return…

Logging out. You want me to log in and give up info about myself? When are you idiots going to learn that people DON’T want that. So long!

What have they done? Hate the new app!. Used to be my favourite news app, clean and lean. Headline page of five or six articles. Then the feed, constantly updating. Easy to scroll down pick then a well written article. A natural way to scan and select the articles of interest. Five or six articles to be seen in the screen could be easily scrolled and view more. Similar to the way one used to read a newspaper page. A quick scan to find what you’re interested in. I began my daily news binge with Reuters. Soon as I read they were updating the app, I feared the worst. Sadly, I couldn’t imagine how bad it could be. A bloated behemoth. Difficult and slow to use. Lots of big photographs with a little bit of information and thus boring and cumbersome to scroll. Way too many redundant sections with often blending of articles. Now a long way behind google news and Flipboard, which they badly tried to copy. Personalized? I wish I could personalize it back to the old one. Sorry Reuters news app, you’ve been moved to the back. Sad, as a certain president is wont to tweet. Sad, because Reuters really is a great news agency.

App becoming buggy. The app has become buggy off late. There is always an error message showing that the news feed is unavailable even though the news feed is visible. Sometimes the news feed is not available at all. I have been using the app for years and it’s never been this bad performance wise

New Reuters. Doesn’t open.. stays black!

Disappointing. Great news source! Really dumb update!! (design, layout) Bring back the old one!!!

Stopped updating. All my stories are from last week even though the app is displaying the current day to me. Have tried deleting and reinstalling, updating software, etc.

Like. Great app. Great news

If you like 3 week old news........ This app is perfect for you.

Great app, new update is terrible.. I love using this app before but with the new update it keep automatically pushing me to the top of the section making reading any story but the newest story very difficult. Please bring back the old update with the orange button allowing you to bring in the new stories.

Full of bugs!. “Your news feed is currently unavailable” has to be the most common thing I’ve read using this app. FIX IT!!!

TV App. I used to use the separate Reuters TV App for my daily news updates, but as of August 2022 that no longer works properly (it now displays a "No Internet Connection" error). This wouldn't be an issue if the integrated TV app functionality here in the main Reuters app would actually let me cast the stream TO my TV. In its current state I might as well just use the website, thus rendering the whole point of merging the two apps moot.

What about “how much time do you have?”. I used to love the option for a 5, 10, 15, or 30 minute news summary on the TV app. Now it doesn’t work at all on the TV and the mobile app doesn’t even have this feature? Disappointing.

Must register to read. After many years of free reading they changed the app last month so you now need to sign up for an account to read anything at all. They call it “registration enhancement”. Overly complicated, clear information grab.

Why do I need an account. I used to love this app, but now I have to create an account which is pointless and yet another login that I have to track remember and hope doesn’t get compromised. So unfortunately I’ve deleted the app and won’t use it again, unless you drop the login requirement.

Laughing. To force me to buy a subscription for some free news is actually pretty funny. I’ll just move on to the next guys who have advertising to pay their bills … very laughable and a poor business model.

Bring back the old version. I avoided updating until recently. What a disappointment! Bring back the old version PLEASE.

Disclose too much info. Need to now register to read news. Registration requires unnecessary amount of information. Other free news apps out there.

Omg Yesssssss. This app show you all important info of financial report of compagny!

Cast. Give the option to cast (chrome cast) Reuters tv onto my tv and I’ll give 5 stars.

News feed unavailable. App shows news feed is unavailable. No news is showing up.

Add Picture in Picture support. Please add support for pip for Reuters TV.

Mike. My daily news source. Clean and effective app.

Any enjoyment this app provided has been overtaken by bad business decisions. 8 bigbox ads on one article now, seriously?! This along with the removing of personalized feeds has taken away any enjoyment this app once provided. I used to be a daily user and find myself now even wanting to launch it. A shame for the writers whose content I enjoy.

Reuters tv. The Reuters tv feature/section doesn’t allow Google cast anymore. Kindly, bring that back please.

Awful honestly. This app is an embarrassment for such a large corporation. It's glitchy, crashes, requires you to sign back in very often. Every single news article also has a typo, if they can't be trusted to ever spell properly how can we trust the content is accurate....

Registration News Letters. Used this app for almost a decade. Deleted it yesterday. Feels strange not opening it every morning. The purpose of the app is so I can access articles that I want when I want. I do not want to receive junk emails from all of you companies. Seriously gets annoying that you demand it to read further after you read a few articles. I’ll search for an app that gives me that liberty without having to give my email up. Good luck.

Register to read?. No thanks. Used this app for years, not anymore.

Left wing propaganda.. If you like that sort of thing. Reporting on agendas. Have to weed through much of the agenda driven “news” to get to the factual truth. Follow the $$$.

Loved it until last update. This was always my first read of the day. With so few real news options out there you have lead the way with great reporting that are always factual. Now you have complicated the app so no more Reuters on my devices. Go back please!!!

Demand for sign up - Now deleted. So I’ve been looking to this app as another angle in the world news. One of several apps I use to try and get a balanced news view. Today the app demanded that I “sign up” in order to continue using it. Nope! I was already being the product while using the app. Now you want me to give you access to even more data!? Nope. #*%@&$ good by loser Reuters! 🙋🏼‍♂️

Compatibility with Apple TV and Hompod. This app is the only one that I have that does not follow the sound setting To my HomePods. It’s very disappointing and it shouldn’t be a difficult fix. If this gets fixed I’ll change my rating.

Great site. Fake news? Nope. It is a straightforward news organization with non-biased reporting.

Review. For the next update can you please add a setting to have stories be chronological? Also, with the new update, every time you open a story then go back, it sends you back to the top of the page

Top Story: your personalized news feed is unavailable. Actually, it’s the only story when I open this app.

News feed unavailable regularly throughout day. I’m not sure what the issue is, but multiple times a day I receive an error that says my news feed is currently unavailable (even if I was just looking at it) and I’m unable to refresh it. Closing the app and restarting it does not resolve the issue. I really prefer Reuters’ reporting so this is disappointing.

Easy to use and read often.. Non biased news source. It needs a bit more Canadian content.

Unusable!. Glitchy app… cannot get rid of videos to try to read an article. It’s time to remove this app. I tried.

Videos. The video streaming sucks. It is so slow even if I have a connection of more than 20MBPS download and upload speed.

Good app but. The latest update made the widgets break, and most of the time you can only ready the headlines not the full article

Kept going back to top page. Please fix your app it’s kept going back to top of the page at random intervals. It’s so annoying.

Unable to switch to International. On the AppleTV app we have always watch the International edition. For some reason it switched to the US edition and hen we try so switch it back to International it restarts the app and it is still set to US tried deleting and reinstalling, still not working.

Reuters are playing silly games. Or the app needs another update: once again I need to login for some reason. And the App Support link from here in the store is dead. Do I need to subscribe or something?

Bring back Reuters TV app. Times were better with the standalone Reuters TV app. The integrated TV tab in this app has sound playing, but the picture is black. I’ve tried reinstalling several times already. Just disappointed.

Little control. The older versions of this app allow you to have much more control over your news feeds. I’m stuck looking at American centric news now and lost my ability to focus on a hashtag specific industry. Even editing something as basic as my user name is out if my control or if not isn’t blatantly obvious as it should be. Thankfully my iPad is old and the Reuters app doesn’t update. The news itself is concise and neutral. It’s the one thing that keeps me using it, but only on the old iPad app.

Broken updates. Starts with news 2-3 and 4 weeks old! Very annoying! It seems like every update worsens the quality of the app!

still my main source of news. I’ve been using the app for years and it’s still my first choice for a quick breakdown of current events but please fix it so I don’t have to sign in every two weeks just to read the articles it was never like that before and I find it completely unnecessary for a free app at the very least just don’t sign me out unless I do it myself- hopefully an update is on the way

New version gives me less news. Why did you voluntarily give up one of your strengths? You’ve updated the app & now require that I filter the feed using known interests. I understand the potential benefits of customization. But now you’re preventing me from learning about topics that I don’t yet know about. This is one of the reasons that I use your service. You could consider filtering in reverse. Send me everything, yet allow me to exclude certain feeds. Perhaps I don’t wish to follow sports & entertainment via Reuters. But I did appreciate learning about the unexpected. Sadly, for me, you’ve just given up one of your, former, strengths.

Very unstable and unreliable connection. Extremely bad App and bad App support. No one ever returns calls or emails and quality of app is getting worse. It says “offline, check internet connectivity” while internet is excellent. And not multi tasking. Same as Bad YouTube feather as soon as you go to other apps to do your tasks it stops working on iPhone! BAD technically.

Fix the search please. The search engine of the app is garbage. Please fix it.

Fewer features than the Reuters TV app??. I have been an avid user of Reuters apps for several years now, specifically, the Reuters TV app before it was decommissioned. I began using this app in place of the decommissioned Reuters TV app with the expectation that eventually features within videos would reach what was available in the previous app. However, no, such progress has been made. Specifically, I’m referring to the feature allowing videos, or at least audio to continue playing when using a different app or simply leaving the app for the Home Screen.

I Miss You Widget…🥺. I've been a loyal reader of this news outlet for years due to its reliable and unbiased reporting. I especially appreciated having the widget on my Home Screen, which made staying updated so convenient. Unfortunately, the widget is no longer available, and now I find myself relying on Flipboard and other less trustworthy sources. I'm eager to see the widget return so I can continue enjoying the high-quality news I’ve come to rely on. When will it be back?

Best way to get your news. I have been using Reuters for the past six months or so and it has truly changed my life. The addition of how much time you have to watch that it makes viewing the news far more enjoyable. Along with the fact that Reuters it’s one of the most unbiased news sources in the country there really is no downside.

Useless My News. I’m disappointed with the My News features on the latest update. Reuters TV has always been perfect because you can just put it on and get the most important news of the day (especially back when there was a 30 minute version). I don’t want to select my interests because they vary, and I have long had the confidence in Reuters to deliver the best news in a succinct manner. If I have to select every subject, will I get more news in general, even smaller stories? This feature feels useless and has replaced my favorite feature of the app.

Missing video news feed???. I do not remember exactly what the video link was called but in the middle of the bottom portion of the app was a quick link that allowed 20 to 60 minute videos of news. It was an amazing feature. It appears that in the new app this feature is gone. I am hoping I am wrong and can find it elsewhere in the app. Please bring back this feature and make it easily accessible. It’s a 5-star app if the feature is restored.

Will not use until video playback is fixed. I used to watch the video news feed while I made breakfast. I cannot re-browse the video selections every two minutes to sort out and select the next non-viewed video. There is an auto-play option in the settings of the app. Either it does not do what I think it should (toggle an autoplay feature in video playback) or it is broken. I love this news source but the app has become unusable. Please fix it so I can get my morning news once again.

Unbiased and Credible. I did some research to find the most credible and least biased source of news and Reuters was at the top. It’s very clear when reading their articles that they provide zero opinion and commentary with very neutral language and equal representation of Republican and Democratic issues and statements. I’m trying to turn everyone onto this that I can. Thanks to Reuters and your employees for your excellent journalism.

Reuters. I am grateful for Reuters now news. During my morning coffee, after meditation, I am able to catch up on the most important current news of the day & begin my day reflecting on topics that were presented. Your reporters and the Reuters presentation are both concise and clear, covering details necessary to present events and issues at hand. Thank you very much. Peace and gratitude, Elizabeth

The latest version is a nightmare for IPAD user. After the upgrade, the fonts become so small and I can’t even find a place to adjust it. And there wastes too much screen space on the left and right, I don’t understand why wastes so much space as blank instead of providing more information for readers. Another problem is the selection of words and sentences. Now I Cann’t select any words or sentences on the screen for translation. I want to get the latest objective news as well as improving my English. The new version blocks this choice. Please consider improvements for above problems, thanks!

Why do they need all my information??. I was enjoying reuters news until I reached my”article limit” then they wanted a lot of information from me. Why do they need this? I’m just trying to read “unbiased” news which is almost impossible these days. Why is it necessary reuters? Why do you need my information? Why can’t you just share the news? If you want to scroll ads at the bottom of the page fine. Just leave our personal information out of it and let us read in peace.

Great news app but glitch in functionality. This is a great news app and I trust Reuters to be less biased than other outlets, but this app has a glitch. It randomly takes you back up to the top of the feed, perhaps as stories are added. You then have to scroll past all the headlines you’ve already seen, again, and probably do it again before you give up and go to a different news app for the day.

Search terms do not reflect current content. Overall a great app - my preferred source for news. Unfortunately, searching does not always reflect the latest news. For example , the top result returned when I search “Ukraine “ is a month old article and those that follow it are even older. This despite the front page having new articles referring to Ukraine on a near daily basis right now.

Too Many ADs/Stopped Working. I spoke too soon. Now it won’t let me look at any stories unless I register. Nowhere did it say there was a time limit before it would stop working. Sad, you would think an institution like Reuters would be more trustworthy. Will delete ☹️ — original— One AD per news story is enough. Audio ads are unacceptable. Video ads are unacceptable. I don’t usually mind ads, and in fact, will usually click on ssome to give you some revenue, but too much too much. I expect better from a company like Reuters. Sad 😞

Biased News Coverage. Reuters, on average, would receive a poor grade for objective analysis and writing on Israel's war on Gaza and many other issues related to Middle East conflicts. In fact, Reuters would fail. However, Reuters, like most mainstream western media agencies, would score an A+ for their persuasive writing and advocacy for the US and Israeli positions. I used to listen/watch Reuters media but I have shifted to other non-biased media sources as I’ve gotten more educated on the matter around the conflict. I may reinstall the app in the future if/when they decide on a neutral stance on their views and news coverage.

App is fine but…. The registration confirmation process needs work. Took quite awhile to receive the “email confirmation” email. Once I received it, it took me to a login screen where my newly confirmed email was rejected. Wouldn’t allow me to sign in. A few minutes later, I received an email saying that my email was confirmed. Very confusing and convoluted

Fantastic journalism. I turned to Reuters because I was tired of reading the opinions and spin from other media outlets. Reuters does a great job of reporting the facts and providing context that is often skipped by other news sources. I use this app throughout my day to stay informed on what is happening in the world. I especially like the 15min videos that are updated daily. They provide a quick download on the most important events.

Unbiased news and app to be improved. I used to be paid users of FT, Bloomberg and other major financial news outlet. These media all seem to be slightly biased, though better than CNN or FOX. I canceled all my subscription once I switched to Reuter’s. However, the app is slightly unhandy, it would be nice to be able to switch between different editions without having to reset everything, smoother news loading is also a mandatory, customizable bottom menu and watchlist.

Thank you for bringing back the read offline option, but it doesn't work as it should. Edit:I'm cautiously optimistic that the new update may have improved things, I'm changing my review to 5 stars pending further problems. I like this news app, I think it's one of the better ones in terms of content, but the read offline option leaves much to be desired and the app was much better before the redesign.

Removed App. As a self-admitted “news junky” I decided to delete the Reuters News App due to automatic videos for ads that cannot be paused or stopped altogether. ANY ad that plays an automatic video will NEVER get my business for the simple fact that while trying to read an article any automatic video is a complete distraction. This is a growing problem that should be addressed and at the very least one should be able to pause the video or ad or stop and block the ad altogether.

If it ain’t broken.... I’m not a fan of the new redesign at all. I feel like I’ve lost the concise simplicity that matched Reuters’ factual, no-nonsense reporting that’s free of the sensationalism that the other news networks are rife with. Folks- the app was perfectly fine. Lucky for you, your reporting is the only fact-based, non-sensationalized outfit out there, or this confounding new design would have been enough to lose my loyalty. Please rethink this design and leave the option of something close to the old layout available to those of us who just want to know what’s occurring in the world without it being turned into a soap opera.

New version annoying in its behavior. The app pushed an update (50.0.0) which has at least a couple of annoyances. It now requires two taps instead of one to return to ‘home.’ This kind of change is contrary to good usability. Worse, the app keeps jumping to the top of the headlines page when you’re looking at the headlines, apparently in response to headline updates, requiring the viewer to scroll down again to find their place. This often happens to me at least twice while I’m looking over the headlines. This is maddening and should be corrected.

If only …. ♥️ the news delivered by this app. Brief and concise enough for quick reading to keep you updated on current events. The downside: if you go back to the HomePage after reading the content of an article the app launches to the top of the HomePage rather than keeping you where you left off. Irritating to say the least.

All over the place. I have the app on my TV and the news is completely unorganized and the production value is worse than my old high school news station- they just show random clips and interviews with zero context so you have no idea what the news story is about. It’s really frustrating and annoying. The worst is that they play the same commercial randomly and the sound is over 20 points higher than the sound for the news. I used to love watching in the morning because it is non biased news but whoever is managing their TV app needs to be re-trained

Good but updates too often. I like to scroll through the top stories daily. It only takes me a few minutes. But I cannot even get through the list without it refreshing the page and putting me back to the top of the list - which almost always has exactly the same stories. So I never get to read the items at the bottom of the list.

Forced Registration?!. Reuters really Heard’d the bed by forcing users to register. Oh, it’s so they can provide a better customizable experience for users? False. More like collecting more data to the sell, which is in line with all the ads they have as well. By the way- the ads are easily hidden if you use a VPN ;) Don’t bother with this app until they knock off the forced user registration. Active daily users is a metric utilized to grade Company performance… The world is connected enough at this point that there’s plenty of other places to view news. Especially for U.S. news- try out Daily Mail. Cheers!

Don’t upgrade if you like this app. Unfortunately the new version of this app is a tragedy. Previously the settings allowed you to tailor your experience by indicating what kinds of news you want to read, presented in a normal linear fashion. Now, not only doesn’t the selection system work correctly (if I turn off everything but world news, 2/3 of the news feeds from US news) but you cannot unsubscribe to the market reports that they automatically subscribe you to — as far as I can tell. None of this ever happened with the old app. Additionally they’ve gone over to some weird interface that scrolls horizontally at the top but only includes Reuter’s suggestions. You have to scroll down to get to news that isn’t days old. Sadly, this was a 5-Star app before. Now, I’m giving this one star before I delete the app. Just sad. I used to read Reuters 4x/day before this new app was released.

Regions buried. For some reason Reuters decided they weren’t getting enough clicks inside their apps. They had a perfectly elegant system to get you to the topics you wanted to see, so they instead buried them in a pull-down menu rather that display them at the top of the feed. This saves them absolutely no space and requires more manipulation to see the very same information as before. The target should be to have an app that is more intuitive and require fewer clicks to see what you want. Going in the wrong direction.

No more offline cache. Used to be able to load the news with wi-fi, turn off the wi-fi, and read the news on my commute with cellular data turned off (now that unlimited monthly data is either unaffordable or just a memory, depending on your carrier), or where there is limited or no cellular data available (subway stations). Should let users cache (even the ads that support the app) with a settings option so we can save battery life and data charges. I’d even pay a reasonable one-time fee for that. All gone now. Thanks for the update, developers.

Daily limit isn’t daily?. I just tried this app in hopes of some credible, unbiased news. It appears the “daily limit” is not daily. In other words, the next day does not bring the opportunity to read a few more articles. I didn’t have access to the content long enough to evaluate it, really, so am not inspired to register. Additionally, there is conflicting information regarding whether or not there is a fee to do so. I get that a good product can’t be free, but this is all rather misleading.

Customizable Push Notifications - Useless!. This is not an exciting new feature! What’s all the hype for this when there are three and they all default to ON and cannot be changed?!? It’s the same thing we’ve had up until now. On a separate note, the significant reduction in ads is great! Finally! Thank you. Want two more stars?? Then please fix the dark mode support. What’s the point of supporting Dark Mode at all when the app opens with a full white BRIGHT splash screen thereby blinding the user for 2 secs in the dark (it’s obnoxious).

Hopeful but disappointed in the end. I was happy to find an unbiased news source which is so hard to find. Unfortunately lately special report this special report that is all soo and too biased and goes against the very Reuters principles they boast about. You even click on the link to contact the ethics guy and it’s a bad link… suspiciously going to an error screen. It’s a maze to contact or even note anything to them through the app, I’m not a multimillion dollar company I’m just a person wanting to point out something you’ve misprinted… another news app deleted

App spontaneously returns to first article. This morning the iPad app started to return to the first article when the screen is touched to scroll. This seems to occur about once per minute or so. I then have to quickly scroll down again to find my place before it happens again. It makes it very difficult to access articles more than an hour or two old.

Hard to customize, hard to view. When the app started, it asked what section I wanted to see. I chose, launched the app, and got totally different sections. Took awhile to ALMOST get what I want - if it actually remembers. Then the presentation. It’s much less compact and therefore harder to navigate to what I want to see. Admittedly I’m just starting, but first impressions should be better than this with the hype you proffer. Not sure I want the old forever, but I want something better than this. On the plus side of things, it’s Reuters. So the reporting is excellent.

New and UNimproved. Really dislike the new app design. It is so much more difficult to configure it to my liking. I hate the new menu bar at the top that requires side scrolling to find a feed. I tried adding the Wire feed as suggested in the new app description and it doesn’t seem to work. I don’t want images in the headlines and want the most information in the least space. Why do newer apps have to be scrolled so much? Not sure why you had to redesign an app to make it more difficult to use. I don’t bother anymore and get my news from other sources.

Unable to adjust notifications. Had to delete app.. Recently I have been receiving a ton of notifications on my phone about Reuter’s new podcast, of which I have zero interest. I have searched throughout the entire app trying to see where I can turn off these notifications as I only prefer to see notifications regarding major world events, not some daily podcast. No ability to adjust any notification settings on a news app is honestly a huge deal breaker.

Plea to Reuters: please read recent reviews!. I’ve also used the Reuters app as my primary news source but was dismayed when it required registration. Still, I kept the app to read headlines and bylines - when suddenly registration was no longer required! Fast forward to today, when it’s required again. What’s going on?! I just installed AP instead. They’re both still the least biased news sources - and I can still go to Reuters online. Are you listening, Reuters?

Wire service available on this update. I had no problems with the app crashing after updating it. The new update has a front page with both the previous Top News as well as a Wire page for latest news. Quite helpful for following breaking and live news — quite a good update.

Please bring back auto play. I had used Reuters for years! Part of what I liked was that Reuters, except for very few times, was unbiased and gave the black-and-white truth. The other reason I liked Reuters and their app was for the auto play. I would press play and let it go. Your TV app on Apple TV still does this however the app is not supported. please bring back autoplay. Until then I have switched to Haystack News.

Tired of constantly signing in. I use the app often but I’m really tired of getting the “you’ve reached your limit, register or sign in to keep reading” as signing in takes you out of the app, out of the story you’re reading and into safari. Most of the time I close everything and move to AP news instead. If I need to sign in, make me do so when I launch the app, not three articles in. Thanks

Simply the most comprehensive and nonpartisan. I am a self confessed news and information junkie! I have tried literally every news app out there. This is the only one you’ll ever need! There’s an up to date custom video update, wire news ad it comes in, and thorough coverage of everything! If you’ve tried it before...give it another try. The recent improvements are amazing!

Latest update makes Reuters a displeasure to use. I loved the Reuters app as it was so easy to browse across articles and sections . This latest update is clunky, you have to click separately on the menu button to move sections vs previously swiping right and when you read an article and go back the view starts at the top of the page all over again . Articles seem to be repeating a lot as well. Please don’t fix things that aren’t broken - this was such a great app before and now I am thinking to find an alternative.

Would be excellent news source, but .... The sign in nag is ever more frequent, and there is no way to sign in. A previously established sign in is always rejected. Any attempt to create a new account is always rejected. Update blurb claims "improved logon experince".. Yeah, right. The "improvement" allows access to have one's existing logon rejected just like account creation. I have 78 years' worth of experiences, none of which I want "improved", "enhanced", or "upgraded". This mess is a good example of why I'm cynical about "improvements".

Good stuff. Pretty business heavy. Kinda 'liberal' centric. But a lot less drama and unnecessary flair in their reporting conspired to most other news organizations. I use this app every day. If CNN or Fox News gives you a headache switch to Reuters. Reuters' reporters all seem like normal chill people that try to report details. It's very unlike CNN or Fox which use fake charisma to try to sway your opinion because they think they can herd you like a sheep. If you have an Apple TV get their TV app. It's awesome.

Only missing one thing for me. App is great, would be perfect for me if it included the ability to customize notifications a bit - for example, I’d love to shut off the notifications for podcasts because I don’t want them, but I can also see it being useful to only have notifications for breaking news or whatever else. Otherwise, everything seems to work great for me. Thanks much!

Harder to use, more junk in the way. The latest app date makes Reuters useless, which is why I have deleted the app. The big pictures mean you have to scroll and scroll to get the news, and so forget about getting a me u of top stories in your categories to quickly choose. There is a text-only setting that makes the list shorter, but bandwidth-hogging videos are liberally interspersed and cant be turned off, and an editor’s picks item at the top also gets in the way. Plus, it’s harder to switch among categories, as only some fit in the row at top. The design is very unfriendly and inefficient. Reuters is ruined.

Great app gets better. In the past it’s always been a toss up between using Bloomberg (a nicer app but them harassing you to pay for it) or Reuters (and having to deal with a bad UI) but with the new update you don’t have to decide. It’s much cleaner and runs smoothly on my phone. I really like it and I hope they continue making updates like this!

Great content; poor interface. Great content--poor interface. I'll pay to remove ads but this doesn't seem to be an option. Why not? Additionally, why can't I highlight text anymore? I used to be able to highlight and then look up the words on iOS. Lastly, why can't I zoom in on photos? It used to work. This app interface just keeps getting worse overall. These are basic things that other news apps handle with ease.

Broken: How much time do you have?. Please note that the app on Apple TV has a feature that has been broken for a long time now. The news app used to ask “How much time do you have?”, and customize the news duration to that selected time. Now regardless of what option is picked, the news sequence place for 60 full minutes always. Kindly help fix this very helpful feature.

Great Reporting. Terrible Update.. Please fire whoever came up with the idea to take away the consecutive video feed. I used to let the news run as part of my morning routine. Now I have to stop and manually select the next story. I’m telling you now that I’m not going to do this. I’ll find another news source before I incorporate this annoyance into my life. I’d be perfectly ok with having to listen to an ad between stories if that was the corporate-based intent on this update decision. 5 stars for the “just the facts” style of reporting. 1 star for messing up the App.

Uses CPU on iPhone. I like this app and I also prefer Reuters for my news source. Since updating though I have noticed while having the app open for an extended period my phone gets warm and the app begins to have issues scrolling content. Scrolling is very jittery like you would experience when a computer processor pegged at max. I have an iPhone 12 and have noticed this on cellular so far. If I switch to another app everything is fine and when I close the Reuters app my phone eventually cools down.
