Wonderful. They say it, this is a very good app for anyone, even older children or adults. I try to play vibraphone which is a mallet instrument, but same layout as piano with back bars being the "black" keys. This helps with reading & scales. Highly recommend. Thank you

Ledger Reading Practice On-The-Go. I'm an adult trying to refresh my memory of reading music for piano I never could develop fluency reading notes as a kid. What a difference this makes! Terrific for pocket review/practice. Size of keys is good. Ledger is easy on the eyes to read. Makes it easy and fun to tie position of key on the keyboard with the note on the ledger. I have Piano Notes Pro for my iPad but this little gem is great for short reviews on the go. Better, cheaper and much more engaging than flashcards. So much cheaper than making blank copies of my note spellers for extra review.

Great app!!. Fun app to help with sight reading. Worth every penny and then some so long as you stick with it and practice. Great part is you can play this app without sound and still get all the perks of it.

A dream come true!. I cannot believe that I'm finally learning to read music! I've only spent just a few hours over the past few days practicing the treble clef, and already I'm feeling pretty comfortable! I've never found a system that has really made things click for me, this app is perfect! I'm running ios 6 on an iPhone 4S, and I'm not experiencing the sound issues others are experiencing.

A nice sight reading trainer.. A nice little app that is helping me master the notes above the treble staff and below the bass staff. Simple to use and a nice use of a lunch break.

Needs a little work. It's hard to hear the notes when playing the bass cleff, I know it's not essential as you just need to read the notes and play them, but a good update would be nice... also for the screen for iPhone 5 would be great. But pretty good app overall

Missing score board. I’ve been looking around for apps to help my students learn how to read faster. This app is great, but I wish that there would be a score board platform so that kids can compete with each other or compare their scores. My students need more motivation and competition makes them learn faster.

Excellent!. I never learned to sight read until now. I've been practicing with this app and I am making better progress than I ever imagined. I like the being able to use or hide colors and note names. The colors are a big help when learning and you can turn them off to test yourself. Wish: Can you add the ability to reset your high scores?

Worth a lot more.. I have just about all note study apps, and this along with music theory pro are by far the best. To me this app is worth a lot more than 2 bucks. Get it if you are a music student.

Great for learning how to read music. Great for learning to read music - but only one tune/ song. More variety would be cool - but for the price ... It's very good.

But. I love this app but I believe that I just found an error. I was playing and I got an incorrect note. But when I looked at my error and saw the note and a Flat next to it I decided to snap a screenshot which I saved in my photos. When I checked the photo, I saw that I had played the correct note. I want to be fair, so I’m going to do it again and see if I find any more errors. If not, I will update my review and give the app five stars. Stay TUNED.

Cannot hear, very low sound level. Also, nowhere in the app to leave a review or contact for tech support.

Wasted my money. It's okay, not very intuitive and gets the student into bad habits, like not being able to identify which Key on which octave you are playing. It's good as a simple exercise for first time sight readers, but I was looking for something more organized

Nice app.. It's for my boy , he was interested in music . I think it's a good way to bring him to music worlds . It's not only an interesting game , but also is a good music tutor .

Best sight reading app. I've been waiting for a proper sighting app, and Note Goal is it. It has a clean, custom UI. Suggestions to make the UI even more effective: If I press play while configuring, close the settings and start the testing. If I click settings while playing, stop the game anf load settings. If i press play (or a key?) while tallying score, stop tallying and start testing. Dream features: 1. Allow us to use real instruments (piano and other) by capturing our notes via the mic input. 2. Rhythm testing.

It's alright.... I think if it had thr bass clef option it would be a higher rating but I love learning about the treble clef! Also, am I the only one who has no sound? Cuz it would be a perfect 5 star with bass clef and sound :)

Love it!!!. Great app and great for learning notes on the piano. I highly recommend it. Wish they had this for the Violin as well. Just wish I could do both clefs at once but I understand that the space doesn't allow for that. Seriously love this app and can't complain.

Just what i was looking for. I find this app to be easy to use, yet very flexible and helpful. I've adjusted it easily to my own needs and have already seen positive results with regard to my sight-reading speed. Why isn't this more expensive? Thank you, to the designer.

Review for music notes. As with every great idea there is always room for improvement. I believe this app to be the most forward musical notation training software available on a phone. With that being said this app lacks one fundamental aspect of reading- tempo. Learning to read tempo is imperative to becoming a well rounded sight reader. So now I ask the readnotes team, please find a way to implement a tempo or metronome in tandem with the notation. This would make an already good app truly great. Thank you.

Fantastic app!. This is a great little app that makes it easy to learn how to identify and play notes quickly. The Pro version (available for iPad) is even better since you can choose a keyboard with more octaves and hence practice the treble and bass clefs together.

the best sight reading app I have found. Has the ability to select ledger lines well above treble and below bass for study. Options for all sharp and flat keys, respects uniqueness of same notes in different octaves. I've yet to find a better one.

Learning made fun. Been a computer musician for over 20 years and never learned sight reading. In less than 3 days I'm already reading cM no problem! Wish it played a "wrong" instrument for wrong notes to better reinforce.

Very nice app. I like this app very much. It does what it aims to do well. It has a nice interface and a good selection of options.

Excellent Music Learning App. I have downloaded and tested pretty much all of the music learning apps for the iPad and this is is definitely the best. Works very well connected to a midi output digital piano using the E-MU Xmidi cable and the Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. In this setup it works well on the iPad and looks even bigger and better on the 12.9 inch iPad Pro! (ie easier to read the notes). This app is the best way for students to learn the piano keys that correspond to the notes on the page.

Very happy with this. I use this app a lot. The screenshots tell you all you need to know: It's well presented, simple and clever. And it has a beautiful sound. Also you can just play tunes on it without doing the practice. When the in-game high score system is improved it will be perfect.

Not worth it. Yes I understand it's only worth a dollar, I bought this to help my son learn to play the piano. There are virtually no instructions to help you understand how to learn to play.
