Mailchimp Email Marketing App Reviews

Fantastic tool for email blasts and recruitment. I am president of a non profit membership group and we use this tool for sending Alerts, Meeting Reminders and other important information to our members. We also use it when recruiting new members. We started out using the “MailChimp” free plan and it worked well, But after a year we upgraded to the monthly payment plan. There are several different plans. We also have the “Subscribe” app to subscribe new members on-the-go. The “MailChimp” app and the “Subscribe” app are used in conjuction with the “MailChimp” website where you create your account. Both apps are free. Although “MailChimp” is generally geared toward commerce. It is working great for us. Very flexible and we can structure it for anything we want to do. More than likely it will work fine for any business or group. I am sure that once you start using this program you will continue and will be happy you took the plunge. Try the free one first. If it doesn’t fit your needs than nothing is lost. You won’t regret it.

Meh. I really like having the option to reply to emails right from the app. But frequently, after I have responded through the app, the customer never receives the email. I will go through and respond to a bunch of emails, and find that a batch of them didn’t go through because several customers did not get the response, even though the response shows on my end. I also wish I could attach a picture to the email. Will that ever be an option?

Disappointed. I just spent a whole day trying to send out an email with this app. It was so glitchy on my phone that I gave up and tried using my desktop. Actually using the templates was fine, comparable to other website apps, but navigating the contacts was impossible. I could never figure out how to see all my contacts at once and could only ever look at the most recently added, even though the correct number of contacts was listed. Also having to learn all the new fancy words for the different categories of emails created an entry barrier that I was not able to get across. And I couldn’t figure out how to save the template and come back to it. I was never able to send a test email either, every time there was something that prevented it from sending. All in all, a completely wasted day. I’m trying Constant Contact tomorrow.

The Pro version is everything!. I was so reluctant to pay for the pro version, I felt it was too expensive. Boy I was wrong! It’s everything and more! Infact, I have made back my investment in the pro version for this month from the sales made via email. If you’re thinking about upgrading, I hope you find my email and make the decision ASAP. It has changed the trajectory of my business for the best! Excellent Mail Service.

Glitches and details were overlooked. -I so often get a “timed out” message when trying to create campaigns or send test emails through the app -The interface difference between the mobile app and desktop site are stark and make it very difficult to find things created in one place on the other. -When trying to change the font color... it didn’t change, even though the settings say it did. -When trying to add a link to text, I highlighted the text to be linked and the standard apple options pop up (“cut, copy, paste, share...” and cover the button i need to click to make a link. -No optimization option for sending times Aside from these issues (and more that I just can’t think of right now), the app works fine. It is convenient to have it on the iPad and overall easy to use.

Just a few apps worth 5 start.... And it's the one of them! I just sent my first campaign using only iPad and I was amazed! The app is beautiful and very very easy to use! I already started checking other options than MailChimp just because I want only use my iPad, but now this app is one of the major reasons I will keep on MailChimp! Of course, there are minor issues that I think will be correct in future updates! Very good job guys!

App!!! Love it. Before Mailchimp I used a different more popular email marketing company. However it was really inconvenient because I would use it from my laptop due the site being a limited on my phone. Well mail champ has an app which makes sending an email so convenient especially on the go. The app has been a definite plus for my business.

Normally the app is great, but…. Lately, every time I go into edit mode for a campaign, I see a “Loading Failed” error, saying the “Frame load interrupted.” I’ve tried closing the app, logging out, and even deleting the app entirely before re-downloading it. I don’t have a paid account so I also can’t contact technical support, which is quite frustrating. Sometimes I’m not on my computer so having the mobile app is crucial, but moments like these make it really difficult. Hopefully this is an easy fix! Maybe it’s just something I’m experience though 😓

Terrible software and lack of options. NO - NONE - when it comes to customer service. Email marketing is so 10 years ago anyway. Until today I thought it was a necessary evil. Mail chimps editing software has convinced me otherwise. I had to retype my message twice because it stalled out. “Processing errors”. I’ve never wasted so much time retyping my message and gave up after the 2nd try which didn’t work. Mail chimp might work for chimps but not humans! Would not only not-recommend this, but would advise against the hours long waste of time for a single message. Eff chimps and their little email systems too!

Get rid of the yellow!!. I’ve been using MailChimp for years and I do really like it. The app, in general, is pretty helpful and assists me in keep my mailing list up-to-date when I am out and about. However, there is a reason bright yellow is not used in most apps/branding... It’s hard on the eyes and generally off-putting. Just look at your competitors, as well as most of the apps in the App Store… There’s very little yellow because it’s just not a pleasing color to look at. Even Snapchat offsets by adding some white to make it look deliberate. The new look makes the app look amateur and ugly. When my partner first downloaded and installed the update, I thought something was wrong with their phone screen… Nope. There is just something wrong with the new branding. Please go back to your more neutral colors scheme, please. Even the newsletters are now ugly to read ...

Such a great app!. The Mailchimp app makes my life so much easier. I can do all the important repetitive tasks right on my phone without having to login to the computer. Adding contacts, cleaning out the subscriber list, typing up and sending out emails, viewing reports, everything can get done on the go, no matter where I am.

Best Thing Ever. Mailchimp on the go is the best way to think of it. As a business owner, you may just randomly think of a way to connect with your audience and instead of waiting to get home to that computer or ipad you can simple do it on your phone. They also send notifications about your campaigns analytics plus tips to connect with your customers. How could you not take advantage of the app!

MailChimp is going down hill fast. MailChimp used to be my go to app for clients but ever since Intuit took over nothing works right. The most recent example was trying to get help editing the recipient in a copied campaign. We used to be able to copy a campaign and edit the recipients to a new segment of new subscribers since the last campaign was sent. Now we have to create the segment first the create a new campaign to send to that segment. What a pain because now you have to create the email from scratch. Of course the automated help tells you you can do it the old way. It’s pretty much useless. We’re looking into alternatives to MailChimp for my dozen or so clients that need to send bulk emails.

Rage Quit Alert!. I’ve been attempting to use MailChimp on my iPad. I say attempting, because I’m rarely able to actually use it. Typing in the text box pulls up the keyboard and covers the text box. Often times I’m presented with a screen holding only my content text with no buttons or functions available on the screen to exit, undo, proceed, save, or otherwise navigate the user interface in any way whatsoever. Then there is the majority of the time when pressing the save button actually just makes my screen blink, but doesn’t save or exit or do anything else that would actually help me to send a newsletter. Of all of the apps I’ve ever used in my life, this has been undoubtedly the most incredibly frustrating one yet. If not for the necessity of sending standardized newsletters to my clients, this app would never be on a device I owned. I’m beyond frustrated, I’m pulling hair and throwing things. In today’s world, I could probably sue MailChimp for the amount of damage caused to my office during this rage quit moment that I was forced to after hours of dealing with MailChimp and their inferior product. Okay. A little dramatic. But the frustration is real.

Long time mailer, first time chimp.. I’ve been designing and sending newsletters for a private company for over six years. We had a large list that I cultivated and during that time we used an email service provided to us by Apple. Well I did allow us to send large amounts at a relatively inexpensive monthly cost, the interface intuitiveness and overall ease-of-use is nothing like what Mailchimp provides. I’m extremely pleased with Mailchimp. Managing contacts, creating segments and groups, and designing emails with or without templates is so easy with Mailchimp. I highly recommend this to anybody looking to grow their business or start a new one.

Love the Mobility, Functionality Needs Work. I love being able to create these emails on the fly, but it’s glitchy. Y’all need to really get in there and do a comprehensive debugging. It is creating frustration and I know you don’t want that. Sometimes text boxes aren’t editable due to direction text boxes being in the way of the cursor. I can’t seem to get the button color boxes to edit. And the “apply style” check box doesn’t apply style to all the other kinds of element like it says it should. Thanks for creating a good product. Make it great! 🙌

A Good Start. I recently took over as my religious organization’s newsletter editor where we frequently use MailChimp to contact members of our congregation. Since I’m still in my mid-20s, I figured that downloading this app would work better for adding things quickly at events, while I’m out and about, or need to check something during my break at my day job. While this app is great for checking to see what articles or other information we still need to add while I’m away from my computer, it’s not the best for writing or formatting the newsletter. Longer articles (or anything more than two or three paragraphs, to be honest) that I’m working on are often obscured by the keyboard while I’m trying to add something to them, which is unfortunate. I’ve also almost ended up sending mailings early due to the position of the ‘confirm and send’ button while trying to edit one of the newsletters. Most of the time I end up having to do most of the major changes on my computer because of how this app ends up working. I won’t be deleting this app (as it is still helpful for at-a-glance updates), but it definitely could use some improvements.

Poor support for free version. The app’s functionality leaves a lot to be desired better to use the website from a computer. If you want to change your reply email address be very careful to check it in every single campaign after the change. Program reverts back to my old email address after I changed it everywhere possible. Free version does not allow for contacting tech support to report this as an issue. App freezes a lot when used to edit campaigns. I use the desktop version but the email issue might make me switch to another program - editing for mistakes in the copy is enough without having to watch for the email address reverting every single time.

Well thought-out tool but editor could be easier. I like the tool but wish it the editor worked better. Photo edits are difficult for example adding text directly on a photo. We tried it the other day, saved the photo, went back into photo edit mode, and the text was “locked”. We couldn’t change it, so we had to delete the photo, reload it, to be able to add the new caption. Also, the tool doesn’t seem to support responsive email sign-up pop-up windows (i.e. we wanted an email pop-up with a photo on the desktop page, and a pop-up without the photo on mobile page and had to purchase a different tool to do it). There are a few other little things like not being able to send a campaign to multiple audiences but maybe that’s us not knowing how to use the tool...

Bring back Snap!!!!. I really preferred the simplicity of MailChimp Snap which also allowed you to modify pictures within the app. The new system, which functions more like the desktop one with templates you can modify is hard to maneuver on the phone. The app does not modify pictures to fit which is a triple annoyance as you have to go find another app that does and save the picture elsewhere and then go back to the app. Plus if it pops up a window, it won’t let you move around to press whatever button it wants so then you are stuck anyway because it won’t do anything. At this point I am almost driven back to the desktop version (which I’m not really excited about the changes there but at least it is easier to navigate). Adding names has also gotten more cumbersome with more steps to get to add. And the constant popup about whether someone gave permission to be added is seriously irritating. I run a very small business with a signup book which is clearly labeled that if you leave an email you will receive emails. I get that there are unscrupulous companies that add people who haven’t but it seems like it should also be smart enough to notice who is adding a few at a time or bulk adds.

Buggy and unreliable on mobile. I use the app on my ipad pro to manage my email list for a small business. Very small, nothing that would unduly tax the app. However I have found that certain functionalities are not available in the app, despite their being advertised as being a functioning part of the app, such as being able to upload and link a file for use by the list. In addition, when editing information inside the app, such as email content, account information, etc, sometimes the Save button is either hidden by other elements or simply disappears, causing information to be lost. The app is also not able to do the same amount of workhorse editing and customizing of text, links, buttons and elements in the emails. This app may function for tweaking an email campaign and sending it, but not much else, and certainly not as a replacement for the website version.

Very bad service. We started pay for the service from last year November, since we paid and never able to used this service, because our data been blocked by the system. Our data collected for many years, we were transferred from madmimi to Mailchimp, surprisingly we could never use the system. We wrote a lot a lot of emails to them, no body solve the problem, only thing they said is we will get back to you, And then never get response. The same time we have been charged for 3 months, we ask for refund, they said manager give permission for one month refund. What kind of service is this? We paid, and could never able to use your system, no one solve problems and you still charging us ? Very bad company, do not use it!

Great App, Terrible Customer Service. I really, really want to like MailChimp. Really. The app is awesome and the forever free option is great for when you are just starting to build your business. But the biggest problem is that MailChimp as a company has TERRIBLE customer service. They absolutely refuse to speak with you one-on-one. They offer no contact number, and when you do manage to track one down (thanks to the BBB) they answer with a voicemail who tells you to just email them instead. When you do use their contact form, they take DAYS to get back to you and even more to resolve any issues. So, dear MailChimp/Rocket Science Group, I’m BEGGING you to hire more and better customer service team members and to PLEASE set up a live support line. Leaving a small business hanging for days on end with their account suspended and unable to email their customers is terrible for everyone involved, and if this happens again I will be taking by business elsewhere.

DO NOT USE!!!!! SCAM!!. SCAM!!!! We used mail chimp for our business for over a year. We ended up having a lot of emails on our list and had to pay a ridiculous amount of money and they made us keep upgrading. We decided to go with another company because they shut down our account because we would not update and pay more because we had a lot of people. Then we tried to cancel our account and it wouldn’t let us unless we paid for the upgrade first to just cancel.... the upgrade was $47.. no thank you! We couldn’t even do anything so why would we pay to cancel our account. We continued to reach out to the team multiple times to try to cancel and get our money back. No reply. No number to call. No email. Nothing. We were stuck. So we changed our billing card to one that doesn’t work anymore. Jokes on them. WORST SERVICE EVER!! Do not use. This company is a joke and just wants your money. Once you sign up you can’t get out.

Easy to use with great features!. I’ve been using Mailchimp for a while now and when reaching out to you database, there’s the hard and old fashioned way to do it OR, you can use the great features that even the free accounts offers. Stats and reports to let you know how your email campaigns are doing, who opened, who didn’t, where did your email got the most clicks, on and on! Great product and system when you want to scale your business!

What’s going on MailChimp!?. As a small business owner, I love the services that MailChimp offers. Unfortunately though when I need to create an email campaign on the go, the app and site have not been the best. I have tried everything, but the app is not sufficient for my needs. It never completely works on my iPad or phone, and sometimes when I go to the site it has the same issues. How can I utilize the services you offer if I can never truly use them? It is starting to really frustrate me, as I am in the growing phases of my business and want something that is reliable. Please fix your app and site.

Good, does what it says, buggy. Mail Chimp is pretty basic, could use more customizable features especially with the layout. It’s very buggy and laggy with the UI, so it’s kinda frustrating to work on longer projects to real get your vision across. If you’re not design oriented the lack of options and usability overall is probably helpful, but for me it’s a hindrance. Whatever, it’s a basically free service, so 4 stars.

Decent but keeps crashing. I’ve been using Mailchimp to send email blasts to customers for a few months now. At this point, I’m searching for other options. Mailchimp is decent, but the app keeps crashing on me and the website is not user friendly. It’s annoying to have to re-load a campaign when switching between the app and the company website when I’m adding hyperlinks. Beyond crashing, the app doesn’t do well when I’m designing campaigns. I use an iPad and I can’t scroll with my Bluetooth mouse at all. To scroll, I have to use my finger JUST RIGHT or it will not let me scroll down. Overall, I’m annoyed with the app. First review I’ve ever written. If anyone has suggestions for another service, send them my way.

Outstanding. This company has been the find of the year for me. The very idea that mailchimp allows small businesses to use their services for free until they grow large enough to require paid services, is awesome in itself. But then once I started using the service and scheduling daily email blasts, from the very first week I started picking up as much business as I receive from my paid Google ads. MailChimp is truly the best thing out there regarding business emails!

A sizable learning curve, but it pays off. This is an awesome free software for my purposes. I use this mainly as a way to send out newsletters to friends and family to keep them updates with my life on the mission field. Although it’s taken some time to figure some things out, I think all in all it’s been great for a free service. If I can ever afford it I’d like to see what benefits there are to paying for the full services!

EXTREMELY Buggy. This app is SO BUGGY. I have log in issues, had to log out of everything go through the process to change the password on both accounts even though I know it was correct. Then I just updated it to the password I know it was and it works now. When creating an email, clicking in the text box or try to highlight a work to correct, or even add a word/correct spelling it just scrolls to the bottom of the screen. I’ve been trying to create a landing page for a week and I go through the entire process and when I click submit it just sits there like its generating it, but does nothing. Then when I go back it shows I started one, but nothing I put on it is there and the edit button DOESN’T WORK. I’m about to find a new service. This is ridiculous.

Great product but one small issue. Highly recommend this product, but one issue we have is sharing a finished campaign with our FB page. Since a FB business page requires an admin profile (annoying), Mail Chimp is only locating the admin page- at least through the app. Other than this incredible product, really well thought out.

Love but difficult. Love the service, but using email templates is not user-friendly. One time the email looks good, the next time the borders don’t match up and things are very off. You should have some sort of wizard that will correct these things. When going into “help” it should be much easier than it is to find your issue. For example landing pages are amazing however the templates are very difficult and do not offer flexibility example you cannot size things properly.

Used to work much better. I have used this app for over a year now for work, I didn’t choose it. I used to be able to change the color of fonts and background but clicking on the color pic but now there isn’t one. I have to use an actual picture of a color for backgrounds now. At least they finally moved their feedback button which used to be right next to the X that appeared after you downloaded pictures. Maybe they will read this and change the color situation. I was able a couple of times to delete the app and reinstall and get to change the color but that’s no longer an option. Hello...I don’t know the numbers for the rainbow of colors.

What Changed?. I was able to add photos to campaigns with no problem. Now the attachments option is completely gone. Vanished. Disappeared. I can’t scroll long posts anymore, either. And am having difficulty doing something as simple as adding a hyperlink. And heaven help me if I copy and paste something from a word doc. It sends spacing into an irreparable frenzy. I just use this app to create or update HOA email campaigns on the fly or while traveling. I’ll usually k icky out three or four campaigns ahead of time so I can just add current news and hit “send”. I’m out of the country right now and an important (to us, anyway) mail campaign is causing me to pull my hair out. It worked great when I travelled on May. Now it’s just nearly DOA. No wonder no one else wants to volunteer for this job, lol.

Fine but Annoying. It goes without saying that the browser version is great and far superior to the app. But because the browser version on my ipad safari (not sure if that’s apple or MC’s fault) acts strange, I’ve tried to use the app more. My two biggest annoyances is that when editing an email, the edit bar at the bottom keeps popping up and down. Sometimes it pops up and down so rapidly it feels like a joke. Just please pin it to remain there! It won’t ruin the aesthetic and the alternative is far worse! Also, when you edit a block and save it, you always get thrown to the top of the email. Minor annoyances overall but they add up to create a less than ideal user experience.

Connecting. I wanted a way to stay in touch with my clients and start a contact list. I am very technologically challenged and even though I had help to start out from a friend she quit and I had to go it by myself. I did it, while it was a little challenging when you up grade and I have to relearn how to do things it was fairly easy to do now I am learning and desiring to see how else I can use Mailchimp to help my business. Super Easy!!. Love being able to send emails from my phone! Ive been behind on my email marketing because I was using another platform that did not have an app for phones and I am not at my desk all day. I literally lay in bed and send emails. And Mail chimp is MUCH cheaper and does the job. However, I am with shopify so I am wondering if they will ever get back connected so that I can track sales. But I see them coming through right after I send my emails so I know its workin. SUPER HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Please fix this!. I tried looking for a way to contact the company, but there’s no info on how to contact them. SO, I’ll just leave a review about it. I use the MailChimp widget regularly because it’s easier than going into the app and checking the stats. Since the beginning of this year, the widget has not worked for me. It constantly says, “unable to load”. This is really annoying... I’ve tried removing the widget and bringing it back, but it still says the same thing. I am using the latest version of iOS and the updated version of MailChimp. Please fix this!

Amazing for the free version. I truly enjoy when companies bring so much value that you can help with by their subscription service. I can’t even imagine how valuable it’s going to be when I start buying their subscription service thank you so much for such a great application and a great service that has allowed me to build my business to the next level. Horrible customer service, exploitive billing practices - WARNING. Mailchimp is about ease of use for everything except canceling dormant accounts and ceasing billing upon repeated requests. Let’s say you don’t find their service helpful & do not use Mailchimp for several months but continue to pay. If you try to cancel they will insist you pay another month fees! After paying for and not using their service for over six months the least they could do is just stop billing upon request. Instead this sociopathic company will refuse to cancel your account until you fork over another month’s fees. RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE

Powerful Engagement Tool. I’m still working to build an email list that will allow me to serve my target community. So I currently have 56 subscribers. Yet the power of Mailchimp to help me engage with them is awesome. Features like scheduled email release; resend based on different parameters, tagging people for specific tracking, and more are unbelievable! And at this point it’s at no cost. I thank you for standing with me to enable me to build a tribe.

Must have. I don’t write reviews. I just don’t...but I’m writing this one because I downloaded this app yesterday and it has already become super helpful for me for my blog. I didn’t download for some time because of the negative reviews I was reading. All I know is that tho app has solved a major problem for me (ease of tracking campaign and list stats) and given me easy access to some material that will help me with strategy. Well done. I recommend it.

Not Working Properly. I used to use MailChimp for my newsletter and loved it. I don’t know if it’s just this app or what, but it’s impossible to design professional-looking newsletters now. You can’t control the font size. There’s a way to set a heading as Heading 1, Heading 2, etc., but those don’t work. You can’t add images. There’s simply no control for it. The blocks for paragraphs are disgustingly awkward and, again, you can’t change the font. After spending about forty minutes on a short newsletter that should have taken me ten minutes to throw together, I had some ugly, misshapen monster that I couldn’t send to customers. I have a new release today and can’t tell my customers. Just ugh.

Power tool for club management. Our beekeeping club is too small and poor for most member communication and management solutions, and the pandemic has forced more of our club offerings online. We are finding it deeply helpful to have communication tools that let us understand what is reaching members in a helpful way, and stop bothering them with messages from us if they don’t want them. It also seems to be a gentle education in this field, which is new to us.

The Block my Account from sending emails For No Reason. I got the service to email my investors about new homes on the market. After only 2 campaigns Mailchimp decided to block my account. I didn’t break any rules whatsoever and I feel this is a disservice to me and my clients. No valuable explanation to why they done so. I will go back to constant contact because it’s better and they don’t block your emails for no reason. I give this service 1 star out of 5 because they don’t properly vet customers before blocking them, because if they did I wouldn’t be blocked right now. This is unacceptable and I will be sure to tell all my colleagues NOT to download this app and use CONSTANT CONTACT over this app. I’m mad I spent so much time adding my contacts and creating campaigns only to not be able to fully utilize the app. This app should just go out of business because it is discriminatory towards certain people and it is unfair with its rule. For one my campaigns are not spam, all my email contacts are subscribers to my email list so there shouldn’t be any problems. Mail chimps customer service is highly unresponsive to my complaints no reply or nothing! This service doesn’t even deserve one star!! DOWNLOAD CONSTANT CONTACTS I repeat DOWNLOAD CONSTANT CONTACTS !!! It’s waaaaaaaay better and not discriminatory towards its users!!

Unprofessional. I started using Mailchimp in 2013. I took some time off my business and realized my account was deleted ! Hundreds of client emails were deleted nor was I notified. I created a new account and my account was deactivated due to inactivity. Not sure what that means since this is a brand new account . Again , client emails deleted with no way to retrieve it. I contacted support and instead of being helped I was given the most generic response . I replied back and still no response . It’s as if they’re ignoring me to not address my first question ,1) why delete a customers account and not tell them 2) how can you deactivate an account that was active that SAME day? I reset my password I do not understand how I can access the app but not Mailchimp through desktop? To deactivate an account for changing your password sounds very fishy to me

UX is incredible. Thanks Mailchimp for being brave enough to even try to deliver the kind of solution you have built for us. I have personal things I do with it and professional things. The resend feature is Gold. It just works. Like the rest of your stuff. Thanks for thinking about your product from the user side of things. Take your time!..M.C. is awesome!. Take your time as finding out how to work all the whistles and bells is a bittedtedious initially after you learn how to upload your CSV file then it’s just green lights from there. Ease of use is a factor and I find it on the medium side but if you can program an iPhone you can master the Mailchimp App software. Great for communicating with Business at the lowest rate possible I do appreciate their free plan and plan to upgrade!. Thanks Mail Chimp❤️👍🏽💯

So far, so bad. I’m new to email marketing platforms, but understand how the concept works. First, there is no help inside the app. In the Content Studio, I am unable to open any files under “file”. When creating a campaign, the test emails never made it to either of the addresses I sent them to. After finishing the campaign, they went to the send queue and never seemed to make it out. Finally, after updating the app just now, it won’t open at all so I can’t copy what I had! My three hours could have been much better spent sending individual emails to my subscribers. At least they would have received them. Failchimp fo sho.

Wow. I didn’t know all this was so easy!

Search doesn’t work. The Subscriber search function using the magnifying glass icon simply doesn’t work and hasn’t for as long as I’ve been using the App. Why have this button/icon when it doesn’t work?? Better to leave it out then if you ever eventually get it working THEN include it in the App.

Black screen after login. Opening Mailchimp on my MacBook and IMac - fine. Opening on mobile device ends with a black screen. This is very disappointing as being mobile most of the time I need to access whilst on the road. Deleted and re-downloaded app to no avail. Deeply disappointed

You can’t edit any campaigns.. I initially downloaded the app because using the browser was not working. The Save / Done button was over where I needed to input text. So I could not what what text I had to input then I couldn’t not save as it was saying the field was empty. Ugh. The browser was too wide & I had to scroll. Useless. Do not recommend unless you just want to look at your stats.

Mobile numbers. Needs an option to add mobile numbers

Having trouble iPad app. Love Mailchimp and have been using it for a while, recently I have found it doesn’t navigate very well around the iPad app. Doesn’t scroll up and down easily, almost have to grab and drag with whole hand to scroll. Sometimes it won’t scroll up at all. Never used to be like this. Thought I had too many previous campaigns, so deleted most of them and still no different. Fine on the iPhone app, but just too small to work and design on. Help improve my app, not sure if because of recent updates. Didn’t notice if that was the change. When in photo mode, preview etc, scrolls perfect;y, just drags when in edit mode of mail,page. Works fine In safari, but would prefer using the app. Using IPad Pro 12.4.

Mailchimp for a small business. Mailchimp is excellent in many ways. We can communicate effectively with our customer base and create well presented emails that look good. We are just over the magic 2000 number, taking into account unsubscribes, so we pay for this service. We only use it 4 times a year usually, a bit more during this pandemic. It is therefore quite expensive for what we use it for. I think a lower cost option for light users would be a useful addition. (Happy to pay but this is stretching our budget)

The new and improved app is better laid out. I’ve just tried one of their new functions so keen to see how this goes. I’d recommend Mailchimp to any new business or solo operator / artist.

Makes my business run smoothly!. Love Mailchimp. It’s easy to use, has all the features I need, is intuitive, has great design elements, and automation functionalities. Mailchimp helps me stay in regular contact with my tribe easily and effortlessly.

No activity since October. The app is great, just one small bug (at least for me). Despite getting notified I am signing up lots of people to my newsletter - the “view all activity” shows nothing since October 2018 - I deleted a list and moved it to another account at around that time, so my hunch is that some list size counts are all out of sync and causing a problem. This is for both mobile and web. Otherwise everything is perfect!

Simple and exactly what I needed. I was worried about starting to collect emails and had no idea how, this was so much easer tyranny I thought. Looking forward to moving forward.

MailChimp App is comprehensive. The MailChimp offering and platform on desktop is incredible. The value, ease and customer experience really is so well done. For those who have some experience with EDM marketing and CRM - to those with little experience - the platform caters for all. The MailChimp App is an excellent companion. It has fantastic features at your fingertips and works so well with the campaign workflow. I really enjoy setting up campaigns and audience data on desktop but then launching and monitoring ongoing via the app. The app is not a feature starved version but an excellent tool that enables another level of campaign management.

Used to be good. This used to be my go-to for newsletters. Now it is practically unusable. Not saving campaigns, not importing lists, too difficult to navigate. I’ve gone to another builder.

App keeps crashing when I try to open it. This needs immediate fixing and I notice others this week have been having similar issues. There are feature on the app, such as resend to non-openers, which aren’t Available on the website. Reinstalled a couple of times and iPhone is up to date.

Does seem to let me log in. While the website is great, the app doesn’t seem to work. I try to log in with the same credentials than the website but then the app asks for my name again, phone again etc... to tell “the account already exist”. Of course it already exists. It seems that “sign up” and “log in” take me to the same form. Could you guys please fix this?

To really experience Mailchimp. You need to pay to really experience Mailchimp but it is worth it. Great reporting - Great interaction.

Info good Nav ok Sub poor. I like this app since it’s inception, it’s come a long way. One of the things I find useful are the tips. The mobile version is very handy. The only OK bit is the navigation with the creation, importing/tagging audience to posting. The pricing structure you may need to leave a few hours to review and decide what you need. Then again, do what the young do, just do it and then see what happens.

So convenient & so many tools!. It’s the best way to reach out to your entire mailing list or customers. The tools on it are so great! You can make your email like an interactive flyer/poster, or get as creative (or little) as you want. On top of that, it monitors how many people open your email and interactive with it (by clicking onto the links/buttons in your email). I 100% recommended MailChimp

Still a long way to go to be useful. If you can’t preview the whole email then it’s no good - can’t scroll down and can’t check if a link is correctly set up - long way to go to be useful. MailChimp aspires to be everything but needs to do one thing well

Horrible, Be Careful and Stay Away!. Be careful when you invest in mailchimp, your account might get shut down forever because of a keyword you might use in an email. First it cripples your business (everything will be shut down) and then you get an email that says to take your business somewhere else. I was lucky that I got banned when I was setting up my account before even I sent out a campaign. Would have been costing me so much if I had everything built on it. Save your business and stay away! Not worth the risk. My business is low risk (selling technology classes) and never had any issues before so don't think yours might be any different. Stay away if there's even 1% chance of this happening to you. No one has extra time to waste on unreliable services like this one! I wasted days of work and I hope this stops you from doing the same!

Not very user friendly. Has potential to be a great tool BUT it’s not very user friendly. Things don’t work the way it seems they would. I feel I’ll have to watch too many tutorials in order to actually use it

Feature Requests. To the limits of what the email ecosystem will allow (Apple et ap tightening "security"), to be able to track mailing list opens/interactions is very helpful. Mailchimp's system is great, no thanks to Google's Promotions tab etc which will cut your opens by 66%. But there is one problem and one annoyance. I'm stating these here as there's no other bug report/feature request access. 1. Replicating campaigns via Web also replicates opens/clicks (as App reports) upon Send - making the app reporting useless. I may have missed a use case scenario, but one always wants stats defaulted to zero even on a replicated campaign: database issue. 2. opens are reported in subscriber-historical-joined order instead of chronological-opened order, which is silly. change it to the latter or offer a view-by choice/toggle. Aside from these two notes, the app is five stars.

Extremely buggy app. I have to keep opening and closing the app to get things done because some of their “Save and Exit” buttons don’t seem to work. Plus, I can’t edit styles.

IPAD VERSION FRUSTRATING. Very poor experiences using this app on my ipad. Email editor wont scroll smoothly, edits are not saved intermittently, buttons are invisible, app crashes.

Poor performance on iPad. My business was really hoping to use this service for out emails but it’s just the worst. Constant glitching, and campaigns becoming corrupted. Extremely dissatisfied. If the app actually worked, it would be a superb service.

Creating campaigns is hot garbage. Do you like creating robust, beautiful email campaigns? Do you like using merge tags to address your recipients by name? Do you find MailChimp’s existing campaign creation useful? None of what makes MailChimp’s campaign creation tools useful is available on the iPad. This is such a bad first attempt that they shouldn’t have bothered. Looking forward to finding a competitor who gets iPad-first right.

A billion dollar company with out a phone number..... The worst customer experience we’ve ever had. Try searching for a phone number for Mailchimp (there’s a reason why can’t find one). Just ask yourself why a billion dollar company doesn’t list their number...it’s because their customer experience is that bad. Everything is fine as along as it works but when it doesn’t you’ll wish you had chosen someone else.

Changed my life!. Mailchimp has simply made a huge change in my work life! Previously, I had to create individual group email lists of no more than 100 clients and send emails over a period of one day. It was very clumsy and not very effective. Thank you Mailchimp!

Switch to iPadOS problematic. This app is not yet ready for ipadOS. It’s difficult to edit campaigns properly. Stick to iOS until Mailchimp performs the necessary app update for full iPadOS integration.

Use this all the time for my biz. Mailchimp is awesome! I use it for my coaching business! I did upgrade to get more lists and options and so far really happy with it! 100% recommend !!

User friendly app. You can make any email Campaign in minutes on app. Great app.

Buggy and poor. Using it for personal newsletters to supporters. It is easy enough for an amateur like me and the app just barely meets my expectations and needs. Often when I tap a button it will not work at all, then I will tap another button, and all of the sudden both buttons respond at once and it messes up a photo or text box. It is clear that the god of streamlined interface delights in the fragrant incense of burning functionality.

Best email marketing app. The best experience I had until now

Bon départ mais ça se gâche rapidement.. Au début, wow tout est super le suivi dépasse mes aspirations. Mais ça vient vite se gâcher. La plupart des envois arrivent maintenant dans les boîtes indésirables des client. Ayant un blog non lucratif, Mailchimp n’offre pas d’aide ou de solution pour changer cette difficulté. Résultat seulement 10% des 30% de réception se dirige vers mon blog.

Suggestion for Next Update. I do a lot of my work on the road in the car and I use this app a lot. However, it would be very helpful if you could search for tags. We use tags with every campaign so we have a lot of them. But there is no way to search for them in the list of tags when you select from the menu. Please add this feature with the next update if possible. Thanks!

Poor Performance on iPad. Glitchy and lose content regularly. Cannot build a decent campaign on iPad. Not sure what the app is for? Desktop version is fine.

Mediocre. Ugly not friendly use interface and templates, buggy app, The login is a nightmare they send you a code via email you may or may not receive before you login could it takes about 10 minutes or more, today I never received the code even if I asked to resend it multiple times and the iPhone up crushes when I switch account😖

Us on app. Two improvements would be - being able to seeing who clicked on each link would be very useful on the app in our business - the one button click to resend to non-openers on desktop would be a great addition

Great Platform, Terrible Service.. On top of the increasing rates, they double billed me and refuse to refund. Pretty pathetic.

It’s unfortunate. It’s unfortunate that the relationship between Shopify and Mailchimp fell apart, however both are incredible platforms and we continued on with Mailchimp. I find their platform functional and easy to use. Our business has been significantly enhanced through its use to communicate with our customers and prospects.

Easy, effective, smart. Mailchimp makes it easy to setup, schedule, send and follow up with our customers. Mobile functions keep you in the know and the re-send reminder is a life saver. We’ve increased our audience with its integration to social and easy signup forms. Can’t sing its praises enough.

App is good, but I miss Snap. The app really is good and you can accomplish a lot on the go, but Snap was easier and just quicker to get those emails out to your groups. Now it takes a little more planning and thought, which I may not be too good at. I know Snap has been gone for a while now, but it would be cool to see it back. Especially with the change in social media to more of a image based format.

Needs crucial changes. I installed this because the web interface does not allow you to drag content blocks into the email builder on the iPad. Then I faced these issues: When building an email you can't change the template unless you delete the entire campaign. You can't change the background color of the actual email, you can only change the background color of the body text. This means if you've started a campaign on the web, you may only be able to edit a few features on the iOS version but not everything, forcing you to delete the campaign and start over. The editor features are extremely limited compared to the web features. This feels like baby software.

MOBILE APP GLITCHES. I truly enjoy using Mailchimp to send mass email and the layout is easy to use and manage. Just this alone gets 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ However, The biggest issue I have with the mobile app is the glitches, when developing an email campaign the app constantly glitches while trying to type or change the size of the paragraphs, and font. Sometimes the app will glitch so bad that it erases the email paragraphs completely forcing me to retype the entire campaign, Its really annoying and distracting while trying to complete work, making the takes much longer than it should be. ~ PLEASE FIX THIS GLITCH ASAP! Surprisingly powerful mobile app. I was delighted to see all the functionality and reports Mailchimp provides from the mobile app. I can confidently manage my campaigns and take actions as necessary all from my phone. Editing campaigns is still best done on desktop, but that doesn’t bother me too much.

Love the app. I’ve used MC for years and have never thought to download the app until I was on a trip and needed to send an email to my list. I love the notification feature that helps me optimize and resend messages to non-opened list members. While I don’t use it all the time, I love it when I’m in launch status and want to make sure people see my messages!

App is a little glitchy. Mailchimp is a great tool for producing email campaigns. My only complaint about the app is it’s a little glitchy. Sometimes I can’t scroll to the bottom. Sometimes I can’t change text color, etc. I have to save and exit a few times before I can perform the task I need to. Sometimes I even have to close the app and relaunch it to get a function to work.

Great way to manage a data base for emails!. I use this to communicate with a group of 175 subscribers. It is very easy to use and has a great reporting system to see how many opened my emails and if any of them clicked on any links that were included. I can keep tract of loyal readers and also see who is or is not reading my communications. Great App!!!

Useful but needs work. I can't even view who a campaign was sent to. Someone said they never got my email. It's not in their spam, promotions or elsewhere. They didn't get it. In the app, I can't see who exactly the campaign was sent to. Maybe they never got it because I never sent it to them, but I can't see that information in the app. This keeps me tied to using a computer for such a simple task.

Mobile app very helpful. I’ve been using the Mailchimp desktop app for years, however now that they’ve introduced the mobile app I really find myself able to juggle multiple tasks including leaving for meetings, commuting, and still effectively maintaining outbound campaigns —plus the opportunity to re-up your emails to non-openers is a game changer.

Good but lacking a basic function. I use MailChimp to contact parents for my church youth ministry program. The service on the web is great. The app is sufficient to send an already-made newsletter... but it needs an HTML editor! I normally generate the newsletter in a markup editor on my iPad; being able to export content from that program as HTML and to import as HTML into the app would make this a quick and effortless process. As it is, I’m back to signing in to the web version...

Free service worth the price. We’ve been using the free version of MailChimp for almost 3 years. It has worked well for our needs. It is near impossible to get any help if you aren’t paying, but we’ve only had one issue which was not critical. We have been pleased with what we can do with the program, especially for the price!

Lots of issues in the new version. Stats now have a one-day delay. Today’s new subscribers won’t show in the “activity” list until tomorrow. And in the bar graph in the dashboard they may or may not show (for instance, I had the same number of new subscribers on two consecutive days: they showed correctly in the bars one day, but the following day showed as no subscribers even though the activity list clearly showed them, after the one day delay). So many issues with the new version. I wish I could go back yo the blue logo version!!

Much better than others. I have used an email mailing list for years, but decided just recently to try this one and I couldn’t be Happier that I did! I used the campaigner for approx 10 years and I am most definitely happy that I tried this one!

Buggy. Used to be great. Now it’s difficult to edit my campaigns. It won’t hyperlink a whole sentence like it used to, the scrolling mechanism freezes and I can’t scroll up and down, sometimes the app crashes, and now I can’t even edit my campaign.

ESSENTIAL. Mailchimp is extremely easy to use, gives important insights and is essential to email marketing and outreach. It’s been an incredible tool for many years. I would literally buy stock in this company. It’s versatile and a big help toward professionalizing communications.

The free account is co-branded discretely and tactfully still giving the entrepreneur, solopreneur a sense of personalized branding. Analytics and reports show me exactly who is getting my message and who isn’t, and gives me, with the click of a button, the option to resend a campaign to those in my list who didn’t open my campaign. Overall robust, easy to use, convenient, makes anyone just starting in business feel like they’ve been doing this forever. Mailchimp is definitely the entrepreneur’s go-to for email marketing. it really shouldn’t be this glitchy. i use this for my job and am infuriated by the amount of bugs. the webpage won’t let me save the scheduled campaign send time, leading to it never being sent which is a HUGE problem. i also wish you could compare all analytics side by side. also, adding images and changing colors of texts and backgrounds sometimes freezes the webpage and causes it to crash. my app is completely up to date and i’m using the newest iphone so there really is no excuse for it.

Founder. I want to help diabetic patients and, when I loaded 1/6 of the emails I contacted for a decade already, they prevented me from welcoming guest patients, I was kept from inviting all 1994 of them. I am told you have to pay extra to send 100 at a time so how are 2000 emails free. Killed my planning meeting every attempt to correct the problem for two weeks yielded oe email to me. Too bad I lost Constant Contact link.

Unable to view inbox. Hi. My mail box is connected to my mailchimp There seems to be a glitch viewing my inbox and it’s been happening for over a month. Could you roll out an update to resolve this or advice further? This error seem to also occur on the web version. Inbox is erratic

Very helpful. What’s not to love? I can see who has opened my emails and when, and what links they clicked on. These metrics are extremely helpful at honing in on the right kind of message. And for the size of my email list, the service is free. Compared to Constant Contact, which was expensive and not as useful - very happy with Mailchimp.

Please add revenue / sales data. The app is great for reviewing emails and resending to non-openers. I only do simple things on here, not creating or editing. It is great to see the reports on here, however it really only shows opens and clicks, it would be super helpful to be able to see how many sales / how much revenue was generated from each campaign in the reports section of this app, please add that info!

Latest update Aug 2022 broke the “add a tag” functionality. The latest update broke the add a tag feature where I could easily add an existing tag to a contract from the app. Now when I try to add a tag It only gives me the option to create and add a new tag. I have to login through my computer to add my existing tags - no point in using the app then.

App is buggy now. I used to love the app but keep finding problems with recent updates. Two key problems I’ve found: (1.) when I try to view campaign (both when I’m in Reports and also in Campaigns) I can click Preview and it seems to load the campaign like normal, but then it won’t let me scroll at all. And (2.), when I click on who has opened the campaign, the order of who has opened it is quirky. Before, the most recent openers were at the top, but now it’s not in the chronological order. And like many others who have reviewed this app: I also miss the ease of using Snap to create basic campaigns!!!! 😫 Thank you for your time with looking into the issues I mentioned.

Add functionality to edit custom templates.. The app is great except it doesn’t allow you to edit email templates. I customize email templates each week and then use the send customized versions to multiple audiences (over 12,000 people). Because you can only edit templates within the campaign creation section, you are unable to efficiently reuse and customize similar weekly emails designated for different audiences. Please fix this!

Perfect for my business. I absolutely love Mailchimp I’ve been with them for years, their stats and services are amazing. Easy to use format, tracking, embedding all of it is great for my website and helping to grow my small business. Thanks

New version won’t open on my iPad. The version of mailchimp I downloaded just a day or two ago will not open on my iPad (which is less than a year old), This needs to be fixed immediately! Update: this problem went away when I updated the operating system on my iPad.

Horrible functionality. This app really is very frustrating to work with. It is spotty at best, freezes, terrible to work with for formatting and requires multiple resets in a ten minute period to just be able to edit text on an already existing template. My office is on the road and getting to a computer is difficult. The two stars is because on the rare occasion that it actually is functioning properly it’s great. As it is, I am searching for something easier to work with. Can not recommend.

App doesn’t work. I use the website normally. I finally tried to ‘login‘ using this app & it takes me to the ‘sign up’ page. Then tells me, this account is already in use.. It wont let me log in. Only forcing me to signup. Why would I contact you via email & send screenshots & screen recordings when the person/review right above & below me is having the same issue? Why don’t you just fix the problem instead of asking the customers to do work for you? Your response is the same for everyone! Why don’t you just fix this problem that everyone seems to be having?

I love Mailchimp but…. …the app leaves a lot to be desired. I pretty much only use it to look at stats. For some reason I can’t edit any text blocks in an email campaign so I can’t do any on-the-go email writing. I’d also love to be able to do resends but since I can’t edit the emails it doesn’t make any sense to me do send people the exact same email they didn’t open in the first place. So I’ll just stick the desktop version oh well.

Impossible on mobile. The app LOOKS clean on mobile, but actually trying to use it is impossible. It’s extremely glitchy. Every other time I try to type the font box forces open and I have to manually close it, when I move blocks around my paragraphs often get completely deleted. I still love mailchimp but this app is downright painful, thankfully, it’s easy enough to go on the website and do everything I need to do.

Fix pictures, and it’s 5-stars. The devs have come a long way with this app. I can get a campaign 90% done on an iPad. Missing: Ability to add a photo to a campaign. Tapping the Edit button does nothing to a photo, which is frustrating because the Browse button is right there too! I’d say, fix the photo glitch so that this can be a truly independent app, and this is 5-stars!

Upgrades galore!. It’s been a few years since I used MailChimp and boy am I happily surprised. They have really upgraded and so many of the things I wanted are now available. I think this will be a game changer for my business. Thanks MailChimp!

Can’t Edit Text Passed a Certain Point. The app is great for getting a snapshot of your lists and campaigns, subscribers etc. The best thing is that you can send email blasts to whichever list you want on the go. The only problem is that you can’t edit text passed a certain point because the screen doesn’t scroll down. I’m using an IPhone X and maybe it’s not fully optimized for the X but the keyboard stays in place and any words lower then the keyboard get covered up by it. You can’t place the cursor...you can’t see where you’re typing. So this kills me sending an email blast. PLEASE FIX!

I have been really disappointed with Mailchimp. I’ve had an account with them for a decade and have not been pleased with price increases nor functionality bloat but they are started to turn things around with features that fit more into the needs of its longtime users. Still have a ways to go but for the first time in 4 years I’m not actively looking for an alternative Email Marketing Service provider

So upset. I’m a small business and recently moved to a new area. My 2020 goal is to go hard and grow my business locally. I was really trying hard save where I could and was hoping the bad reviews were not going to live up to their expectations. I cant even get past logging in to try the app. I click the unable to log in and wrote a short response what do type of question. So then I try to finish on website and in the site I got stuck on the select a template!!! Are you kidding me? So much for wanting to save a buck.

Convenient but frustrating.. I.like the app for the most part. It linked to my old MailChimp account without a hitch. There are a couple of things that are really frustrating about this app. 1) There is no undo/ redo function when creating a campaign. 2) the add content feature does not work. At least not in a duplicated campaign. This is silly.

I’m Willing to pay for advice. Can I pay somebody at Mailchimp to give me some consulting on how to use your service. It seems like it is something good, I have been using it every week for the last five months but I have no idea how to ascertain any information from any of these reports

Makes life so much easier!. Mailchimp has made my life so much easier at work. Sending emails to my school’s families has never been easier or looked better. Mailchimp offers a variety of services and information that I use on a daily basis. I can’t imagine life without out. And, my favorite part of using mailchimp is high-fiving the monkey after I send out my campaigns 😊!

Easy to use w/ a lot of features. Normally a mobile app has a lot of limitations but so far I’m definitely enjoying all the mobile features. I feel I can do almost everything I need from the mobile version.

Total trash NOTHING works.. This app is totally crap. I can’t even change the font size or color. I *should* be able to but the app is so buggy and glitchy it permits nothing but the most basic text entry. I have had it with mailchimps huge fees and impossible to use products that I pay for but have no real use for. I’ve tolerated them because of being able to work on my phone but now that they’ve apparently stopped working on this app I’m outta here. Advise you to use ANY OTHER service that has a decent app. This one is garbage.

Have to import contacts one by one. The only reason I went to download the app was so that I could import contacts via copy and paste, for when I do not have a computer available to me. I tried on safari and for some reason it just won’t detect a place for me to paste it in, which is so frustrating. That’s why I turned to the app. However, the app only allows me to import contacts one by one and so is extremely inefficient. I hope there will be a fix.

Fascist Organization. Mailchimp discriminates its clients based on nationality. Recently, mailchimp blocked access to all clients that have Russian nationality, sotrbs of thousands of companies completely lost databases of their clients that they have been collecting for years. It is unthinkable that this kind of disservice based on hate towards nationality can happen in the 21 century, so I advise everyone not just not to become a client of mailchimp, but abandon it ASAP if you are already a client, while hasn’t still blocked you access to your clients’ contacts.

Better than HubSpot! and much affordable.... The new Mailchimp is an excellent marketing automation tool that does everything you need. As a marketing agency started in 1997, we have seen and used many many email marketing and marketing automation tools from aWeber to HubSpot to ConstantContact and tried almost all. This is it. MailChimp did the best tool of all. We LOVE it and highly recommending to any type of business.

Money-sucking service. Every month our fees go up and up and up, for bogus features I DO NOT WANT. I don’t care about smart algorithms they added, or building a website through Mailchimp. I shouldn’t have to pay extra for their awful services with such pandering language and imagery. I JUST want to send emails and it’s costing me hundreds per quarter. Their prices are outrageous and purposely confusing to understand, so you never know how you COULD be saving money. I HATE Mailchimp and wish I could switch, but I don’t know of a comparable service out there.

Avoid The Chimp. Looking for an e-mail campaign software application that overlooks the fundamentals and instead is enamored with its own appearance?! Then look no more and sign up for MailChimp. The company who is supposedly hugely successful but can’t afford to provide basic support accessible to all customers. Winning! And heads up about their over-engineered “algorithm” called Omnivore! You’ll love not being able to import your lists and never knowing why! But, hey, pay The Chimp and enjoy the goofy childish sketches / dribbles / art all over the UI. Hipster dumpster fire inbound hot!!! Can’t believe we wasted so much time and money with this terrible company.

Change link info back!. Please change the sorting for links clicked on BACK! When we use more than one clickable going to the same web address, we can’t tell which one our readers are clicking on, with the new “most/least” sorting option. Give us all three options if you like. But please bring back information about WHICH button/text people are clicking! But I love the percentage info for audience members (“he opens 90% and clicks 56%”). Nice.

Moved from Constant Contact. We have made the move from Constant Contact to Mail Chimp and so far I would say it was a great decision. Getting use to all the new features. Moving our list has been a little bit of a small challenge but after a few try’s we have it figured out. Very excited for the future
