Roadie Driver Comments & Reviews 2026
COMPLETE WAIST ON MY TIME!!!. If I could give this app no starts I would. So I got a gig with them moving an item from tractors supply to somewhere an hour away. When I get to the store I find out it’s a 498 lb safe. I was like wow hope wherever I’m delivering this to has a way to get it off my truck. Long story short. No the old man was told by roadie that not only would I be moving it to where he wanted it but that I had a lift on my truck to lift it out of my truck. Luckily I know big strong men and they came helped me. Then Tuesday rolls around and I notice my money is going to an account that I don’t recognize. When I went to change it the check had processed. But the guy reassured me that it would Boyce back to my account I was putting in there now. Needless to say it has been almost 3 weeks and Im still waiting on my money. I have sent them my bank statements proving I haven’t received no deposits from them. Customer service just keeps telling me the same thing “it shows that it processed in ur account allow up to 3-5 business days for it to reflect in ur account.” Blah blah blah. Just give my money yu lying thieves. Bc I promise I will get a lawyer and take yu to court and call all radio stations and news stations and tell them what yu are doing to people. I am not one to mess with when it comes to my money!! So conclusion. DONT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE LIARS AND YU WONT BE PAID EVER!!!!
Worst app to get a gig ever made. I so do wish and pray and hope dearly that someone adds a way to give people negative star reviews because a lot of company’s and people deserve them. So long story short and I hope you all do read this because it gets good……. I applied for a ton of gigs on the app and have gotten rejected from every single one of them no matter how many times I try and submit or apply to the gigs. Now I hit support up about the situation and they blamed it in a glitch that’s not even happening…..anyway the agent asked me to uninstall and reinstall the app, which I did and still the same issue. So I contacted support again and they told me I have to keep submitting to the jobs which I have done all day long and still nothing. Lastly I get an email saying oh well the reason why you aren’t getting any gigs is because you need to have completed 5 gigs to be a trusted certified driver or whatever but in order to complete 5 gigs you retards have to give me some gigs to do…….explain how it’s possible to do a gig if you aren’t given them out. They literally contradicted what was said. They basically will not give me any gigs and will not just say so!
Great App!!. I’ve been in moving and freight industry for 16 years. I opened my own trucking company an it was hard to get the loans for start up trucks being new with little revenue. I enlisted with roadie an was able to attach my LLC. as well as my EIN. Doing so put every dollar through roadie into my company account an generate more company income. Keep in mind I don’t do this here an three, every day Monday-Saturday I get up at 4am an get ready and in my truck 5am an I head towards one of the local Home Depot’s so when gigs appear at 5:30am I am already there am ready. My first order is alway done by 630-7 am most days I make 100 before noon. I also drive 45 min to a gig if one’s not there near me. Doing so allows app to track you an see how flexible and spread across MA.I also don’t leave a 10-15 dollar order I take anything close. I make 650 in first 4 days of doing this. Not sure why people say negotiate thing cause I absolutely love it and come for freight and deliveries so I’d know if it was bad off first day. If you can get gig wsit till 5-6 pm an the Walmarts do 30-50 multiple orders an you can look forward to these. Thank you roadie for helping me, my wife and 3 kids as well as my freight company grow
The support is very incompetent. The support of this company is terrible. The case investigation department does not care to help the drivers. My account has been closed since June 8 due to a return from Walmart and according to they closed my account temporarily that they are investigating when I personally went. To speak with the manager of walmart and she told me that she did not understand why they had closed my account if they had received the complete order and that walmart had not made any report. I have called support about 10 times I have sent them many emails and they always come out with the same thing that they are investigating so easy that is to call walmart or send an email and confirm if the order is returned complete but the truth is they do not know how to perform their work when In other platforms, a maximum case has been investigated for 2 weeks, these have been 4 months from June 8 until today, the truth is not useful at all, I do not know what they are doing and nothing else centered in front of the computer that is why I gave them a one star rating
The majority of the 5-star reviews are fake and were paid for…. Driver support is virtually non-existent. Gigs that pay at least a fair amount for the distance and weight are extremely and increasingly rare. Many screens in the app won’t load properly the first time and require several reload attempts to appear (this has been the case for over a year). Clients are starting to hedge their bets by using other gig apps instead of Roadie. I deliver for several others and I find about half of Roadie’s client businesses on the other apps. This is really just a formerly independent app that UPS acquired during the COVID shutdown to temporarily calm shareholders. Now that the crisis is over, no critical thought or planning goes into this app. I’ve heard people at several client businesses say that the app was actually better (from their end) before UPS acquired the app. Essentially, 95% of the jobs on here are deliveries that are so unprofitable that UPS can’t get their regular employees to deliver them due to union contracts. This app is a last-string gig app. Do not think that you will be able to use this as your main or only app without ending up living in your car or at a boarding house.
Pay can be low for distance. It take a long time to be accepted and you have to be close to a lot of the gigs or you don’t get it. Sometimes you can be right there and still don’t get it or have to wait fifteen minutes to be approved. If the gig is not ready and it took you an hour to get there roadie want to give you four dollars or eight dollars for cancellation that’s not even gas money I believe you should be able to receive half the pay. There are not a lot of gigs in my area so it requires me to travel and most of the time it requires my F150 or trailer and the pay is not great for my hour drive there to the store. Waiting for the store to get the order, then hour delivery and then waiting for another order if any. So working 3 hours for $40-$60 then you have to minus gas from the money. When Doing gigs you really have to think about it because you might get the gigs but do not earn any money for the day meaning that if you work all day long and you make $150 but your pick up truck takes $120 in gas you only made $30 for the whole day was it worth doing the gigs was it worth working that day or even getting out of your bed?
Good cash when they actually have jobs. Don’t depend on this app for consistent cash flow.. I downloaded this to make some extra cash on the side. I have a pretty good job so don’t necessarily need the money. Seems at first there were a decent amount of gigs in my area. The first week I took gigs and got paid $110ish for the week of work all of a sudden there were absolutely no gigs in any of the areas I went to. I travel between 2 states and pretty good size metropolitan areas so I know there are normally gigs available. I’d be lucky if there was 1 but like 20 miles away and not really worth the $10-$15 to go there. I saw other reviews of people having the same issue. Not sure if they do that on purpose. But it’s an odd coincidence it happens to more than a couple people. Just don’t expect this to pay all your bills.
Crappy pay and even worse suppor. I worked for this company for a year and a half. I live in New York City so the pay is not equal to the amount of time that you spent driving. Customer support isn’t really very useful. The lock your account over the dumbest things. Merchants are allowed to rate you even after you drop a gig for whatever reason and your account will be locked for that and a myriad of other stupid reasons. Half the time, when you arrive at the pick up location, the order is it even ready where they can’t find it. There are a few occasions where you’ll arrive in the claim that the order was canceled but it still shows up in the app and customer service can’t really do anything about it. Not only that, canceled orders only pay four dollars, regardless of how far you’ve driven or how long it took you to get there or how much the gig was originally. It’s four dollars no matter what. Not worth it. Ever since UPS took over, the gigs are paying a heck of a lot less and they are now trying to stack multiple deliveries so that they can pay less money. They do reimburse for tolls and parking but not for gas or mileage. You’re better off finding something else
Where do begin?!. Roadie has a bunch of issues but I'll stick to the ones that affect the money. Gigs are posted randomly in random locations. In order to accept a gig you have to scan your ID. The ID SCAN never works!!!! Then you have to contact support to have them manually go through find the delivery and assign it to you. You only have a very short period of time to accept the delivery or you get points deducted. That's an issue when you have to wait in a Que for support to help. The way the drivers are choosen comes off discriminatory. I've had orders that I have choosen to deliver removed from my screen and told that I didn't qualify to deliver this order just to have the order reposted seconds later. I asked why that was happening and I was given the run around, no clear answer. The amount of pay to milage is horrible. Example would be $7.00 for 22 plus miles. A lot of Home Depot pickups for cheap. If your looking for a little bit of pocket change I can't honestly say Roadie will provide that. I definitely would say work at your own risk here.
Pay structure. I wish the pay structure was less confusing. You have to scroll for days to see each transaction for the regular pay and tips which are labeled individually. Also, in our area for Walmart grocery delivery Roadie has lowered our base pay on all gigs by $3.00. They are guaranteeing at least a$3.00 tip on every gig even if we don’t get a tip from the customer. The only problem with this for the drivers is now the tips are starting to get pretty good and I get tipped on most gigs. I really don’t need a guarantee that I will get a tip. So if a customer tipped me more than three dollars Roadie takes three dollars of the tip and adds it to my base pay which brings my pay back up to what I was making before and then gives me the rest of the tip which they call an additional tip. So basically Roadie is using three dollars of my tip money to bring my base pay back up to what it used to be and then they give me the rest of a tip. So basically Roadie has lowered my pay. During these hard times and so many people have lost jobs and are turning to gigs to make ends meet this makes it really tough. I am appreciative of Roadie that I have this opportunity to make extra money but I’m just disappointed that they have decided to do this especially during these times.
It started out fine.. …now it’s just trash. I’m an expert and a professional driver and have been for over 30 years. Some poor elderly or handicapped person is in needs of medication and I put in an offer and they won’t let me have the delivery. They told me last time because I had to become a trusted driver for them first. I’m like how am I not trusted. I’ve delivered meds before, in fact that’s all I’ve ever delivered. And their response was I have to take so many runs within a 5 day period or some dumb thing. I’m not retired. I work full time and it isn’t like Roadie is popping off all busy when I’m not at my regular job. To make matters worse - it’s intellectually dishonest to keep that patient waiting for no reason. I’ve not ever messed up on the runs I have taken and I been with the company a purple of years now. But I’m sitting here in pins and needles ready to run out the door when I get approved but I won’t get approved and I’m going to delete the app and my account if that’s the case. Overly paranoid or insurance purpose or idk but I even went to school to be a medical assistant and graduated with a 4 point. It’s not right for the patients, it’s not right for the drivers…like what are you even doing?
Can’t Drive. So I signed up for this app so I can get some extra work. Well when I was finally ready to start I clicked on a gif I wanted and it declined so I tried again and the same happened. I looked at the message and it stated I would get an email when I’m good to go. Well upon contacting support several times they told me something was wrong with my consumer report. That I have to wait for an email. No email ever came. I kept contacting them and getting the same response. One response stated they didn’t say when I was doing to get the email so that I could correct what wrong. I personally don’t understand what the problem is. I tried to delete my account because I feel like this app and the people behind it are not professional and don’t know what they are doing since they can’t even respond to what the next steps are. You just have to wait and see, which make no sense. Furthermore, it doesn’t take that long to get a report back. So I asked them several times to delete my account and told them I couldn’t do it in the app because it just keep thinking. Of course they respond with you can delete it in the app. I sent the email to another party to delete it per them and they haven’t done so. I hope that someone comes out with a better app and I can go through them. If anyone knows of anyone please let me know because it has to be someone better than this!
Plz improve in person customer service for the drivers. Plz improve in person customer service for the drivers, they never pick there calls , they use wrong dimensions always , as a result it’s a lot of problem, and some of the items are way too heavy and usually some Home Depot helps to load the item, and others do not , and they always warns if the item doesn’t fit in the vehicle , the account will be blocked, do they actually pay that much amount for a tractor trailer and a forklift? No , so they should put the photo of the item correctly in the app. Stop warning the workers , as they are on the road not the IT guys. We are on the road I are lifting heavy items, using our own phone, own vehicle, own insurance,at our own risk, and you from your end giving us warning and blocking us from using the app? THE MAIN ISSUE is THE APP IS LAGGING, IT IS NOT FAST, I mean to say, IT NEEDS LOT OF INTERNET SPEED , IN VEHICLES IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DRIVE WITH A BROADBAND CONNECTION, I USED VERIZON and still didn’t get network , and due to network and their customer service problem they have block my account
Terrible. Roadie seems like a great idea until you actually try to do an order. Every order I’ve done has had an issue. Specifically why I deleted the app was I was sent to pick up 4 bags from the airport just to be told it was an error so I spent over an hour attempting to do a gig I was paid a total of $16 for and was never reimbursed my parking ($8) even after calling support and sending them a picture of my receipt, meaning I only made $8 for something I was expecting at least $40 from. Another delivery I was asked if I could keep the gig active on my phone for 24 hours because the business placed the order a day early. They expected me to not accept any other gigs and wait 24 hours to deliver a cake because of the businesses mistake. I was eventually paid $4 for the gig and they finally cancelled it after going back and forth with (John) the representative. I understand every business isn’t perfect but roadie has an issue at every corner you turn and I would recommend doing anything but this. It’s never worth it and I always felt taken advantage of after completing a delivery for them. I’ve deleted the app and won’t be using it again and I hope I save the next person the frustration.
Serious issue with multiple orders. As the title says there is a huge issue I’ve encountered twice now. Here’s the scenario: Get accepted for gig at point A. On the way to point A I see there is another order that starts at point B. Get accepted for point B. After picking up at point A the app has a bug where it won’t let you leave point A without a pickup from point B. But we’re still at point A. Arrive to point B to drop off order from point A and there is no drop off screen from A->B. Pickup from point B is also unavailable because it made you go through the pickup screen at point A. Now get your order from point B and go to point C. You still can’t drop off the A-B order until point C is completed. Now you have to drive all the way back to point B to complete the A-B order. Total waste of time, money, wear and tear on vehicle. Beyond frustrating. I got no help from customer service. There is nobody to call when this happens. Discount Tire employees don’t know what to do either. Absolutely no support and I’m infuriated. I have wasted dozens of miles and hours going BACK to point B because the app doesn’t work properly. Isn’t UPS a multi billion dollar company?? How can the app not work properly when it only has 1 job. Do better.
Great when it works but has some flaws. Let me start by saying I love this app and the delivery process but there are a few problems that need to be addressed. 1. The offer process takes too long and fails to process multiple pickups. There have been several occasions when 2 or more offers are available for pickup at the same location and which the dropoffs are headed in the same direction but I will only be accepted for one and never get a response on the others. 2. There is no customer service. The text option is only available if you’re in the middle of a delivery. The phone option has left me on hold for 35+ minutes on several occasions which has delayed my deliveries. Emails are not answered at all. 3. Toll reimbursement is an issue. In my state, we have cashless tolls which does not provide a paper receipt. We have an electronic database that will load a record of the toll but it takes up to 24 hours. I have tried numerous times to send in that “receipt” by email. I was able to reach one person that acknowledged they received it but several unanswered emails afterwards and after 2 weeks, have still not received a reimbursement or an answer from customer service.
Trust & safety team. So I’ve been locked out of my account for over two weeks without any from of contact no warning or anything all due to a return that couldn’t be delivered and had to be returned but due to the place being closed I couldn’t complete the delivery until the following day. When I tell you my account was locked without a roadie support representative given me the acknowledgment or instructions on how and where I needed to take the item back the following day now my only source of income have been taken away from me for an item that has now been returned to the sender. Mind you this has never happened to me before and I need someone to help me get my account back because this is absolutely ridiculous that I haven’t been able to get any information for over two weeks you can’t just do people like this that actually work for you especially without any warning and for things that we’re definitely out of our control y’all need to give me an update on my account and y’all need to update the support system for situations like this because this is unbelievable and I can’t believe y’all got me going thru all this.
Needs serious improvement!!. This could be a great app with tons of opportunity to make money, but they’ve designed it to waste drivers time. I have submitted on multiple deliveries today. I’ve been waiting over 45 minutes to be assigned a single one. Missed out on a run on a different app because I was trying to coordinate the runs, but this one wouldn’t assign the first run to make it worth taking the other. There is zero reason the app should take longer to assign a trip than the time it takes to drive to the pickup. If you don’t start your trip they threaten you with a 1 star rating, but they take their sweet time assigning runs making them take WAY longer than necessary to be completed. Don’t tell me you need it immediately or whatever if you aren’t going to assign it to me immediately when I am literally sitting in the store’s parking lot. Either they are delaying assigning runs to provide favoritism to certain drivers or they have no idea what they’re doing running this app. Almost an hour, multiple trips claimed and not one assigned yet. Every minute waiting is that much time of me not making money cause I’m not driving away from my pickups just so I have to drive back to them in a few minutes. Fix your app people. You’re wasting drivers’ time. Also, on multi-stop trips it should seriously pay at least $10/stop. There are some that are a total joke for the pay. I did the math on one and it worked out to $5/hour for the driver. Pathetic!
Major disappointment. Really thought this app would help me financially 😔 Most of the time I get rejected for the gigs I submit for, and I have a 5-Star rating so far. I don’t even bother with the Walmart orders that much anymore (been getting rejected for those too a lot lately). But, before that, the Walmart orders wouldn’t be ready at all, so I would end up having to cancel after 15-25 minutes of waiting because as we all know “time is money!” You only get a $4 inconvenience fee for that. Or, the Walmart orders would have already been picked up after I done drove 30 minutes to the location. 🤨 Wasted a lot of time and gas fooling around with the Walmart orders. Some other times on different gigs like the Pepsi it said “4 items”, so I get there the “4 items” consisted of 4-sets of 3-4 boxes 📦 binded together! 😑 I really had high hopes for this app and wanted to deliver full-time, but its been a major disappointment. So, now it’s back to the drawing board. 😔 P.S. Oh, there’s been times where there’s been $80-$100+ Fanatics gigs that I knew I could and was happy to fulfill, because the route wouldn’t of been taxing on my SUV. And, the app was preventing my offer from even being submitted. 🤨 Smh.
Terrible. This app is by far the worst app ever!!! they have you go onto these stores as soon as they open up only for the orders not to be picked! you have to wait 15 minutes before canceling a order and God for bid you try to deliver great customer service and be patient and wait longer than 15 minutes only for you to call customer service and inform them of the problem and they tell you that you shouldn’t have waited more than 15 minutes “we don’t pay you to wait we only pay you for pick up and delivery”. But if you cancel a order after that 15 minute grace. You only get paid $6 dollars no matter how long it took you to get to the store and how many other gigs you have missed out on. I feel like that is a slap in the face to the drivers because we are out here trying to make money and it seem like Roadie is costing us more money than we are making! They don’t appreciate their drivers. Not to mention gas prices are almost 6 dollars and I have a truck so what does $6 dollars do for my gas tank? I would not recommend this app to no one.
VERY ROUGH START & FIX CUSTOMER SERVICE ASAP. I literally just signed up to this app last night and as of right now I am not able to sign back into my own drivers account today. All day it’s been working fine I just didn’t book anything because I need to fix some things in my car before I get started. When I tried to sign in while doing my errands I noticed that I cannot sign in to this account even though I just signed up literally yesterday and I was on the app earlier today. so I tried to follow the reset link and now it’s saying my email is not on file even though I just signed up yesterday and then I try to go to the FAQ site not helpful either especially the robot customer service I tried three times to put in a request so I can at least talk to a customer service representative (like an actual human being) through email, but it never goes through like at all, It goes back to the chat room but blank and also when I try to see the requests that I sent (literally attempted three times) it says no request was made on that said FAQ website so now I’m very frustrated. Also how am I able to sign in my FAQ account but not my drivers account 🤔 MAKE IT MAKE SINCE!!!! Someone please help me or else I’m deleting this app and I’m never coming back like EVER! *sigh* I really wanted this to work without any issues. Btw for the peeps reading this I was gonna start working I. This app today, but as you can see… 😒
Update Bug. There is definitely a bug with the latest update. Anytime the app is opened it defaults to the map zoomed out to showing the whole USA and not your current location. It even happens when tapping on the notification, shows whole map and not the trip itself. It’s not a technical issue on my end. Cache has been cleared, precise location is on, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and it’s still the same. It is an issue with something the developers did in the latest update. Tried emailing support just to make them aware and to pass it on to the proper channels and they closed the case saying I didn’t respond. They wanted my number associated with my accnt, I replied immediately with what they were wanting. I guess the agent didn’t read their emails. Tried calling support and “no one is available”. Other than that bug with the map, I enjoy using Roadie. I gave 4 stars because you could be in the parking lot of a pickup location, submit the offer for the job and after 15-20 mins be denied saying it was given to some else. Even though you’re already there and have done several deliveries.
Not really worth your time.. Okay, so I saw the bad reviews and I saw the one good review and figured I’d give it a whirl in between caring for my grandfather. Let me say this, the “gigs” are few and far in between, and the pay is low. They wanted me or someone to deliver a chair that would require a pickup truck an hour and 45 minutes one way for $43. Lol. The one good review that said it was worth it was from Cali and they apparently get reimbursed for mileage, while my CT state does not. Okay, so they say they have 15 minutes to respond to your gig “offer” well, that’s a flat out lie. I literally sat in the parking lot of the store of pickup for 30 minutes, watched the offer price go up and they declined me to give the gig to someone else because I didn’t have a “trusted driver” badge (mind you they don’t tell you this when you sign up) even though I delivered prescription meds earlier in the day. So they had me wait 30 minutes AT THE LOCATION, made the customer wait for their medicine, to decline me after their chosen allotted time of 15 minutes. Then they want to tell you “wait the 15 minutes so you don’t waste you gas and time going to a location,” but they literally will give the gig to someone else if they’re closer to it. So his happened to me once— I lived five minutes down the road and they declined my gig offer seven times, but the second I pulled into the parking lot, they approved the gig for me. It’s really a joke.
DRIVER TIME WASTED. The time to wait for a rep to answer the phone is RIDICULOUSLY LONG!! Depending on the situation a driver could lose several hours of money making. Not ALL problems can be solved without a live rep. Another complaint I heard from a fellow driver is that because of one “client delivery issue” Roadie locked her account which consisted of 200 plus $ that was rightfully hers as those deliveries were already successfully made. THAT WAS HER EARBED INCOME‼️They had no right holding those particular earnings. The situation at hand should have been dealt with separately. I literally have money waiting to upload to cash out status since yesterday. I need that money to help victims of the Milton Hurricane. So I’ve been on the phone waiting for a rep for 32 minutes so far and I know it will be over an hour. I am not telling anyone else about this opportunity until they professionalize their entity. The company is a good idea but they REALLY need to address a few serious issues so the deliveries will flow smoother. Other than the above rant, I’m good. Trying to hang on for a few more months and see what they do.
On the Roadie Again!!!. Dearest Roadie Supporters and Personal assistance specialists!!! I am loving being a Roadie Driver!!! The gigs are very pleasant and my destinations are “usually” easily located!!! I would ask that perhaps the timers to arrive to pick up or complete delivery would be a bit more extended in order to allow for the traffic. In my case I have had deliveries way out in the country that my road conditions are sometimes very unusual and it is not highway driving, so it can be a bit challenging to complete deliveries on the short time allowed by the timer on our directional App!! The Support Team is very accessible as a rule, although I do understand that keeping us “busy as bees”must be the team’s greatest challenge, and delays are sometimes just a part of the business of shepherding so many contractors!!! I would love to help facilitate marketing ROADIE in our community of East Texas to expand our opportunities. If that is something I could do to be of assistance to this marvelous endeavor please let me know! Thank y’all very much for allowing me these wonderful opportunities!!! May God continue to bless and keep you and yours!!!
Cashing out bothers me. I’ve worked for roadie since 2022 & cashing out in that year was very quick compared to this year 2023. Example once I delivered the order, shortly afterwards no more than 30 minutes to a hour I was able to cash out instantly. But this year in 2023 I’ve had to wait almost up to 3 hrs to cash out afterwards and I can do 3 deliveries in that day and they won’t give the money all in one batch they send the money separately which is ridiculous, I hope whoever is in control of how they have that setup is reading this because it’s ridiculous. I would starve waiting for y’all to payout, something better needs to happen no one that’s able to cash out instantly wants to wait upto 3-4 hrs after they have delivered the order to get the money that long and separately, I do grubhub and doordash they don’t pull stunts like that once you deliver you can cash out instantly, yall need to go get some advice from them on how to get yall systems like that smh..
No accountability/ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Save yourself the time . These people hire international agents that can’t speak English and will hang up on you if they get frustrated or overstimulated. As a driver I felt very neglected by the customer service reps all they do is say sorry with no resolve. They can barely remember your name ( even with your acc info right in front of their face smh) or the reason you even call in 🤦🏾♀️. To get someone on the phone you have to wait atleast 30 minutes to an hour . They take days even up to a week to respond to emails. The cx on the app lie about receiving packages after you have to go above and beyond to reach them and have a valid photo proof ( I be having the product right up against they house or apartment #😂) and the app will still fault you and not pay. You rarely get funded back for extra charges received while delivering orders. It can take up to a hour to secure an order on most days. After 6 maybe 7pm there will be no orders available on the app ( in south Florida 🤨 ) . If I could give it a 0 I would go -10 . I would say good luck and Godspeed but honestly this app, and the people running it, will get what is deserved 🤷🏾♀️🌀
It’s good but needs a fix. I’ve been using Roadie for a few months now but I’ve noticed either a couple bugs or bad protocols. 1. When I get accepted for multi-location pick ups, I will get notifications that I have not accepted and clicked “Start Gig” on the others, in which if I don’t do so, I will get removed from the gig and get rated 1-star for “inactivity”. All this while I am working on the first or second deliveries, so this is for all the other gigs I have not gotten to yet. All gigs are automatically routed though (which implies the gig had been accepted and “started”) so there’s no way anyone could possibly click “Start Gig” to get rid of these stupid messages. I’ve lost multiple gigs and therefore lost getting paid too, due to this. The last gigs end up getting removed and someone else gets them. The app doesn’t pay much to begin with, especially with gas being so high right now. The average earning right now is $14-16/hr and losing gigs like this doesn’t help. 2. I no longer get notified when there’s local gigs in my area. I have to jump into the app to see.
Cant give full 5 star because a couple issues but GREAT APP!!. By far the best gig app of them all hands down doesnt even come close! I cant give them a full 5 stars because there are a few issues that im about to mention, but the app in general is the best if you are trying to make some extra cash fast and easy! App infrastructure is top tier, servers are rarely down, incentives and honors feel like they mean something, payouts are fast and direct deposit is optional. Pretty much everything you want in an app is here and i couldnt be happier. Where the app falls flat is the consistency depending on the zone. Depending on where you are. You are mostly gonna be living off of walmart and home depot orders, and the closer you get towards the city and airports will be higher paying luggage pickups. Everything is straight forward from start to finish which is a big plus, so you know beforehand what your getting into on each order, and the tips are prettymuch garunteed every time so theres that sense of security as well. All in all I definitely recommend the app to anyone looking to make some Extra money, and i myself currently use it side by side with my other primary app to supplement my income
New App Is Disappointing. I love driving for Roadie but I’m pretty underwhelmed by the new app. In addition to the recent reductions in payouts, the app has become very cumbersome. 1) Once you are “approved” for a delivery, you can no longer see how many items are in the order. This makes it very difficult to know if you’ve gotten the whole order at pickup. You can only see the number of items BEFORE you are approved now. 2) The pickup photo and delivery photo screens are almost indiscernible. It’s very easy to mix them up. 3) The app never seems to be able to detect your location accurately. Before taking the pickup photo...”Are you sure? You don’t seem to be at the pickup location.” Before taking the delivery photo...”Are you sure? You don’t seem to be...” YES, I’m sure! 4) This last issue is the worst. Previously, if you got pinged for a second order/delivery while you were at the same store, you could accept it, view both orders, pick them both up at the same time, then go deliver them. Now, you must pick up the first order, go deliver it, THEN COME BACK TO THE SAME STORE to pick up the second order, then go deliver that! This is extremely inefficient. If the Roadie team can tweak these four areas, it will go back to being a 5-star app.
App has so many bugs. Loved this when I first started, but the more I’ve “tried” to load gigs, the app makes it extremely difficult to use sometimes. Offers to gigs would quit going through to the gigs so that it looks like u didn’t even bid on it, and then half hour later when ur still trying to get it to respond, it says an error “gig no longer exists”. Yet it still shows on the map. No heads up that the gig went to somehow else if that were the case. Sometimes even just clicking and navigating the map the app will freeze or your profile button goes unresponsive to you. Roadie started giving me bad reviews of 1 star bc I would get selected for a gig and not even know about it until it was too late bc the app would say I still had an offer pending. Why should I be penalized for something that isn’t my fault? This all comes after restarting phone, logging out and back in, closing app. When u contact support, nothing really seems to improve… Not giving up yet, but this is unacceptable and makes it rough to be successful. They can’t possibly take care of us all or keep up with all the problems of their system…
Get ready. I’ve been doing Roadie for 3 years. I’ve enjoyed the different runs I’ve done and the people I’ve met. One thing that continues to come up that is really frustrating is DRIVER support. For example, my account got frozen because I accidentally put in wrong password 3 times. So after the third time they freeze it. Ok, so that means no access to the app. No runs nothing until they unfreeze it. So I am currently waiting and it’s 6:45 pm and I’ve trying to unfreeze account for close to 24 hrs. Frustrated because every time I call they say your wait time is 9 minutes. But I’ve been waiting at different calls for over 40 minutes. IF YOU DO Have Roadie AND YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, GET READY. Oh and bit of advice I would not count on getting full time money from this app. It is so DISAPPOINTING how their customer service is, just hope and pray you never have to get ahold of them because it’s long waits, waiting long time for replies etc. I would not recommend. Seriously. Don’t say I didn’t warn you
Glitches & Frustration. I love an app that allows me to make money on my own time but this app has so many glitches and it gets extremely frustrating having to reset it constantly and getting errors and issues that I can’t even contact a person to resolve. They only have the option to contact support via chat. Which I have had to do three times, and every time it takes them hours to respond! One time even responded the next day! Clearly, I wouldn’t need help anymore by then! The only reason I gave it to Starz is because when I am finally able to make some money, it allows me to cash out instantly. I also like the way the app is set up, but there are a lot of things that need to be fixed. Customers often complain that they put in their order days ago and they’re upset with me that it’s just now being delivered. of course that is something that is not my fault yet it affects whether or not I get tipped! Please fix these issues & also consider how much is fair pay! Sending someone on an hour and a half drive them only paying $14 doesn’t seem fair! That’s just gas to get there, then there’s the wait time for the actual order… people are not getting paid for their time.
Driver for the year 2023 and beyond. The only issue I have is that there are some job offers that do not have trailer required when the items are clearly too large to be transported otherwise; otherwise, I really enjoy the work and appreciate the effort that has been made to improve the application, for example, being able to copy and paste support ids to chats. Update: I have had one serious issue with Roadie that keeps repeating itself, my trailer certification keeps getting dropped, and support has been unhelpful and unresponsive for resolving this issue. I bought a trailer for $2400 specifically to do work for Roadie yet their trailer certification doesn’t seem to work and nobody has notified me on what I need to do. I submitted all the appropriate pictures including that of my dolly and straps but there’s no response or resolution.
Non-existent customer care for drivers. Every time I have to wait for 4-6 hours on hold via chat and phone. If there’s an issue with a live order. Customer support is never available. Just recently there was a road closure and they expect you to wait 15-20 mins in the area which is ridiculous and non-sensical to wait around after you know you cannot deliver. It’s also illegal to wait around on a busy frontage road or business sometimes or just not possible. So I was unable to wait because the location was busy and I drove around to the side. After 6 hours 4 customer reps later (one had me wait for 35 mins), who do not speak clear and proper English, they refused to remove the order from my active orders and then locked my account to investigate. If they had customer support available I would rate 4 stars just bc the long wait times are unnecessary and I sensitive since we are not paid for driving to a location and waiting when we don’t drop off an order. So that eats into my gas, ny time, my pay.
The app is messed up!. I’ve been driving for roadie for a while, and I know what gigs I get and though they are never frequent I’ve kept up with them. Lately the app won’t send me a SINGLE notification and I’ve sent this to Roadie twice and they say it’s because it’s only going to send ones I am matched with. Which is utterly ridiculous since I am one of the only drivers here in town, and two I have to go INTO the app to see the trips. Ones that I can make. Ones I used to get. I have gotten complaints from the store because no Roadie drivers are being shown the gigs and customers are having to cancel their own orders and pick them up themselves. And if I DO manage to get a gig I go there only to find out the order has been picked up but not canceled and getting a measly $4 dollars (which this last time they didn’t even PAY me they said I would get it on my next gig which I can’t even GET one because of their bugged out app) instead of the normal compensation. However it’s not fair. Sometimes we drive a good distance for those gigs to pick up and $4 verses the $30-$40 we were driving for doesn’t compensate let alone is OVER $4 for a gallon of gas. They need to get this figured out. It’s tiring having it be unreliable and then it makes ME look unreliable for the store because I am not getting sent the gigs and in turn all of the customers will stop using Roadie in the area because they can’t get a delivery driver.
Unprofessional. This company does not care about their drivers or their safety. All they care about is that you pick up the item and drop it off at the address provided. Drivers beware - your account can get locked at any moment. It could be an error on Roadie‘s part or it can be an error on the stores part. In any case, roady automatically locks the account and will have it locked for up to a week if not longer. If you do not respond to the email complaint and inform them of the situation regarding your locked account, the account can be locked for a longer period of time. You know the saying the customer is always right? While driving for roadie keep in mind… The driver is never right! This company does not care about their drivers. As for prescriptions … most prescriptions are delivered through Roadie however one company has their own driving app. It never fails, Rodie usually starts a prescription out at about 6.75$ and Rodies price increases over time. One of the prescription companies that has their independent driving app will start out a prescription usually at $25 - This means Rodie takes/pockets the rest of the money. Very unreliable company they do not care about drivers.
Not my cup of tea.. Roadie app allowed me to join and be in the platform where others say they are at capacity. For this, I gave 2 stars. However that’s where it ends. If your vehicle makes less than 20 mpg look for a different app. The BEST payout I found in a few weeks here in the PHX metro would have been $70. This would not be bad if it wasn’t multiple stops and the round trip would have made me only 8-12 dollars after gas. There is also no way to filter through size of delivers or items etc. this would make more sense for vehicle types. I have an f150 and a trailer. I never find anything that would make sense for my combo or even just the truck at all. Everything I’ve seen in the app would be great for a good gas mileage car. It’s just not my cup of tea at the end of the day from what I’ve found so far. A new app that barely has users I made $100 in one pick up/drop off, after my mileage and gas I made around $30/hr and that was a low bid. There is a large quantity of items on the app, but again unless your getting really good gas mileage you won’t make much or at all. This is just my experience, this could also change in the future.
Just awful. I had this app well three years and the app works but there are times when it takes forever to respond to a gig you’ve requested. Chat support is a complete joke and should be an embarrassment to the parent company UPS. They have no idea what the drivers are going through or a clue what we see on our end and often are trying to help 3 drivers at the same time so they often ask you what the problem is after you’ve explained it once already and takes 5-10 minutes for them to respond. Their answers are obviously scripted to the situation at hand with no real interaction or consideration for what the driver may be going through. Phone support is much the same. Cold uninspired lifeless culture when it comes to support. Just horrible. With that said, I will immediately delete the app upon finishing this review. I’m a five star rated driver with over hundreds of deliveries. It’s sad but nobody at Roadie cares.
Did me DIRTY!. I received a pick up for the airport and it was curbside. I went and picked up the order and went to the address provided. I was given the wrong address and the wrong phone number. I want to take the luggage back the same way I received it and the airline people had already gone home for the day. I was standing there with the luggage, not knowing what to do because Roadie never answered my calls or texts!!! if they had, I wouldn’t have had the problems that I had which were just awful! I ended up getting help from another airline that new that worked there and they called her back in while I had to stand there waiting, and I did it because I’m a good person and I have great customer service. While I was inside trying to explain this to Aero Mexico I got $100 ticket and when I went outside they refused to let me come back in. I should’ve received pay for going there. but I was put under review because they were refusing to pay me for the return trip. I was frustrated, and I pretend kicked the luggage very lightly and the girl loked shocked so i immediately apologized. In the end they took my pay away from me for the attempted delivery!!! I was devastated! All the time and effort I put in and $100 ticket was a slap in the face for trying to do the right thing! These people are RUTHLESS! Drivers mean NOTHING to them. Their customer service was non existent to rge driver and what they did to me was evil! If I could give zero stars I would!!!
Great extra money. I think roadie is a very good way to make some extra cash or if you’re in a big city you can do this full time. I live in a small town in Northeast NC but Lowe’s, tractor supply, cvs and Walgreens, and Walmart keep the loads up for side money. You have to pay attention to the size of the load and mileage on the Gig. The larger the load the more money, most of the time. Prescriptions do well a lot of the time, I wish there was more loads to do because I would do this full time. Between this and DoorDash. The only thing I would have to say that I don’t like is I wish there were loads that you could bid on except they always use an algorithm to pick who gets the loads. Also I wish there were certain loads or times that you could pre-schedule loads that way you can plan a better and efficient route or your day better. But for the most part it’s pretty good. 2 thumbs up for me!!
BAD. Unsafe. Loose dogs.. The support team will not help you as a 5 star driver. They will try to hurt you on purpose to hurt your ratings and kick you out. I was told I was accepted on a gig and I still did everything possible to see which gig I was accepted for. Still not seeing the gig I’m accepted for and Roadie keeps sending me notifications of over 5 minutes. After I’ve texted them on the app to let them know it’s not showing anything about being accepted for a gig. I receive no responses back besides notifications of I’ve been dropped from a gig and a 1 star rating. They purposefully did this to me so I can receive a 1 star rating as I have never received one after driving over 3,000 miles. Took me almost 4-5 months to fix my car from wear and tears. Spent $3,200 on suspension repairs due to going through country dirt roads. They don’t care about their drivers. I haven’t driven with them for months so I can fix my car to get back on the road and the this is what they do to me when I tried to drive again with them. They don’t care about you being attacked by loose dogs and do not care about your safety. Certainly don’t care that you added over 3,000 miles but earned less $2,100 dollars. You subtract the gas spent, your definitely losing money driving with them and they do not care at all.
Support has no accountability and when far as to permanently block my account.. This is a very long story if I were to write the whole situation down. Honestly I have 7 other apps that I use during my shift. I work 7 days a week and literally never have any issues like I have with roadie. Apprently by this female support who I reached to clear a problem for me well it went from 0-100 real quick. All because she was rude and unprofessional basically lied. All I did was question her and ask who she spoke to because what was said was a lie. I don’t like me called a liar when I’m being 100 honest and have proof. All this led up for her getting in her feelings and accused me of been hostile. I will admit I was already upset because roadie has many defects. Their biggest one is lying about the dimensions and quantity of items that k need to deliver. This matters because I need to see if it fits in either my sedan or truck that I’m using at the time. Furthermore, roadie support staff not all are great some act privilege and act as their the boss and can act however they pleased with no accountability to them. So if you want to waste time, headache, lies and even get blocked from your account just because you question or even put your foot down and not let yourself get treated like trash. Then prepare to get blocked and let’s sad because I treat all with respect. I always been told treat those how they treat you.
App Problems. I literally just joined this app not even a week ago and I am not happy or satisfied with it. I’ve worked several different apps for several years and this one by far has been the worst. The fact it takes 15 mins to know if you’re going to be assigned an order that you picked up is crazy when you were able to pick it up. If someone else got it first it shouldn’t still be posted for someone else to grab too. We all want to make money that’s the point of signing up to do the deliveries. We don’t have time to sit and twittle our fingers. Then, the prices are not worth the mileage and time for certain pickups. $45 for a hour and a half delivery trip there and back and sometimes leaving the state is not worth the trip. They also have login issues. I had to re-login and it would not accept my password then when I go to reset they send a temporary password to your email but you don’t ever receive an email from them with the temporary password. I looked through my email through and through even checking spam and promotions and never got the temporary password so I can reset my password and now I cannot get into the app at all or contact support for help. As a new comer I am not happy or satisfied with this app and I can’t even suggest to download and start using it when they can’t even get the login part together. Hope this review helps someone run and find another app to make money from.
Just drive for literally any other delivery service this one is awful!!. Roadie used to be worth it for drivers however it frankly is no longer worth it. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a delivery up. They have lost contracts with every single store that was actually a money maker for drivers. once Walmart no longer worked with them it was no longer worth it to drive for them. They are now a glorified medication service who every update makes it harder for their drivers to do deliveries at all. Most recently they took away the ability to leave the package on the doorstep which is some thing that 99% of customers want. I do not understand why they would’ve done this because now every customer puts in their delivery instructions as please leave at door do not knock. This is information that they can see so I don’t know why it has not been rectified. Anytime anyone claims there is any sort of issue no matter how real they lock the drivers account it doesn't matter what the explanation is they just immediately lock it And force you to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it back when nine out of 10 times someone was trying to scam for a free package or extra medication like I said in the title just work for any other delivery service this one is garbage
Time for a review.. The amount of “Your offer was not selected “ I get and can be sitting in the parking lot. Is my blowing to me, and the base pay is somewhat better than other apps. Now it may not just be the app, but Central Valley has more drivers than orders being put out. Which doesn’t make since why people are still being let in. I started to use this app for my gas fund, because I only make about $30 maybe if I’m lucky $50. Then do DoorDash at night for 3 hours and make $100 which is beyond crazy when base pays are $3. I will say this, roadie is not great for small compact vehicles in the Bakersfield, Ca. I don’t have a truck to get the big cash orders. It’s becoming a waste of gas for me more than lucrative. This review is after getting to the location and having the order cancelled. An only getting $4 twice which is not even worth the time I waited. There should be a system that helps drivers that have orders canceled to get priority on another order to make up for there loss. It was fun while it lasted Roadie, but I do believe you have time to improve for others that come behind me. I’m glad I have my Class A and just waiting for my training to start soon.
SLOWdie. This app is hit or miss. I don't have a bad delivery rating, yet never seem to get decent gigs. My last 3 Wal-mart gigs got cancelled b/c the orders weren’t ready. We receive $4 for a x’cled gig after we have had to wait 15 mins to find out if we are accepted for the gig…then add the travel time to the location. Once at the location, one generally has to wait 15 mins to cancel if, say, Walmart’s staff doesn’t x’cle or takes their time filling an order because theres never a sense of urgency…they get paid by the hour…I have spent close to 3 hours/gas money to make a total of $12 off my last 3 gigs…all different Walmarts…I take any gig and still no love. When gigs do come through and are completed…it takes as much as two days for the money to process and if I need to cash out theres a fee of $1.99…minimum of $10 to use and taxed as much as 20%. Also when Roadies app falls short or customer service doesnt understand whats not in their manual…its ALWAYS the drivers fault…Roadie is just OK if one isn't counting on making any money or has nothing better to do than chase ones tail. Yes, I’m at a WM writing this as my 3rd WM gig fell through…
Buggy App issues. Did Roadie for a long time, then had sign-in issues where I had to change password all the time, then no longer received E-mail like my account never existed. Email is the only way to reset your password. Roadie phone help appears to be outsourced, a weird number seen in Google searches, when you finally talk to an operator they refers your case to technical support without the issue being resolved. The Roadie web site only had a useless AI chat bot. When I could log in Roadie also started this facial recognition prompt every other delivery which was annoying. It isn’t like there are a lot of deliveries. Mostly Home Depot and the pharmacy. Will so get paid for deliveries from this past week before the log-in issues? Maybe I have to write a snail mail letter to corporate? Who knows how many employees or developers this Roadie app actually has. The App seems outdated. I would be weary of signing up based on technical issues and a lack of support, slow orders etc. It was something I did on my downtime. I saw similar complaints about the Email issue on Reddit.
Glitches and inability to resolve issues quickly mean lost money. It is really hit or miss on availability of gigs depending on where you live. Roadie constantly hounds you for “not moving” if you have more than one pickup to make, even if you’re following the exact route they gave you, even if you’re running ahead of time. Then their customer service will brush you off if you ask about it. I’ve had gigs erroneously taken from me because of the issue and customer service refuses to even pass the feedback along much less work toward a resolution. If you arrive to find the order has already been picked up by the customer or that the store has opted to deliver it themselves, you are forced to wait an additional 15 minutes at the location before they will remove it (and you ONLY get compensated for your time once in a blue moon - out of 4 store cancellations I’ve been given ONE courtesy cancellation fee of $4 on a $36 gig). It’s a side hustle through an app that sources their customer service from overseas. You get what you “paid” for with this one. Unimpressed sums it up for me.
Notifications only for LOW PAYING GIGS that’s not near by.. This app won’t be needed once people figure out the contract game because that’s all there is. They’re paying delivery drivers a cut of what they make. Tried to feed me “the system chooses who gets” what crap. How come I’m getting only notifications for gigs that’s on the low end only($10 or $11) On top of that the gigs be like 20+ mins out to start. And if I do get a good paying gig, it’s way out of my way and not worth it. But if I go open the app randomly I’ll see a good paying one near by but never received notification for it. If I can get notifications for something 30-40mins out paying good, why am I not receiving EVERY notification for something that’s 20mins and below away that pays good. It’s always low pay notifications and a little ways out to start or good pay but too far out. I’ve never received a notification for something close and pays good. I always randomly opened it and seen something good to take. It’s like that only send certain notifications out to certain people but If they never reply, they’ll y give to someone else that not on their favorites list. I honestly don’t care if I ever get a good paying gig from them because it’s so many other apps out here they work with the same companies they do. But it’s better to go directly to the company and get your own contract which will pay more the this weird app.

sign up problem....... I couldn’t even sign up. How I suppose to use the app lol...
Why make the app available in Canada?. Roadie cannot actually be used here.
Restricted to the USA. This app would be great in Canada. As we do have UPS services up here as well. Time to expand the coverage of this app.
Why is it not available in Canada. If I can download it in Canada why not expand it to Canada
Still not available in Canada…. Why is it in the Canadian App Store if it only works in the USA ?
CANT SIGN UP!. jesus christ whats with these apps that doesnt even allowing you to sign up. such a waste of time! just delete this app 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

No Support. Absolutely terrible! I went out for my first gig today and the amount of issues I had was enough to make me not want to drive for Roadie ever again. To begin, I had to add a selfie confirmation 3 times within 5 minutes for “switching devices,” when I only use 1 device. Then, I had to contact support due to a barcode not printing properly at a pickup location. I waited for about 10 minutes to get connected with an agent. The support agent advised me to continue with delivery and add a photo of the package at the customer’s front door. Before I could arrive at the drop-off location and submit the photo (3 minutes), the agent closed the chat. I then contacted another agent to assist, as I was typing necessary information to provide, this agent also closed the chat. I once again contacted another support agent and it took about 10 minutes for me to be assisted (barely). My payment is on a 24 hour hold due to the agent not being able to contact the customer, although I provided photo proof of delivery. This was a terrible first experience and a huge inconvenience.
Do better.
Trash company for drivers. Absolutely zero help if you have any problems you can never reach anyone on the phone I’ve been on hold for hours nights and mornings mid day it doesn’t matter I’m gonna put some examples other day I had to deliver to an address the delivery said 1 customer 2 packages upon reading the label both were for 2 separate buildings/condos another example gigs offered with the business being closed with no contact information so your stuck trying to cancel the order all types of ways but nothing works and says to contact support then when clicking support it gives you invalid number and that’s for roadie customer service example 3 returning extra packages to rodiex building while no ones there past 12 so the app is telling me to scan 2 items when I only submitted for 1 return then looking into the tracking info it’s a glitch where it’s asking me to return 2 packages when they are both the same information and when trying to scan twice it says already scanned so it’s over for today just under triple digest and it’s 12pm and the day is over because I’m stuck in this gig/job
Not ready for prime time. I want to love this, but the customer support is horrible. Two weeks ago I spent a week trying to put in messages for a single delivery that I was locked out of that. They ultimately never paid me for and it was a long trip. Today, they put together a delivery that could never be done because you have to go to the customer first, but that wasn’t OK with anybody and they wouldn’t let the store cancel it. The customer cancel it or me cancel it so I spent almost an hour we’re not working holding up somebody else’s delivery. Throughout that whole time, Support would not answer my message request, but they would immediately answer the store. This just tells me that this app is not ready for prime time, the people running. It are not ready for the responsibilities that they’re taking on because it is not proofed out to deal with day-to-day challenges for delivery. Most of all, they don’t have an extra strategy to fail out of the system when everything failed, you’re simply stuck for at least a week. I just can’t devote anymore. Effort to this company with any level of Priority. I would caution anyone else to do so until they get there business together.
Yes, I’m at a WM writing this as my 3rd WM gig fell through…
The worst driver app by FAR!. I rarely do reviews but people should be warned about this app. If you have an issue, be prepared to wait over an hour for support to respond. The payouts are the slowest of almost any driver app until to get to be able to do instant payouts (which can take hours, instant? Lol), there’s a fee of course for that. You won’t get paid for around 2 weeks initially so be prepared to foot the bill for their deliveries for a bit. Also the offers are low-ball and really not worth the wear and tear on your vehicle. They basically just cover the gas most of the time. The app itself isn’t as user friendly as others and you won’t know exactly what you are picking up until you arrive for pickup. You’re required to wait 30 minutes at a location when canceling a delivery before you can continue. You will spend a lot of “dead time” sitting at a location waiting for help because there’s a good chance that you will have an issue at pickup location. Their system isn’t as streamlined as other driver apps. It’s just really bad in so many ways. 0 stars if I could.
Faithful Driver. I have been using this app for at least 3 years, honestly too long to count. It has become my full-time hustle. I can easily make $100 a day on just 3 gigs. This app has allowed me to make my own hours when creating an income for my family. Learning the app was extremely easy and the jobs are great pay. You choose which gigs you want, and the ones you don’t want, you may end up taking just to simply pass time. I drive a car, a suv, and a 8 foot bed truck, depending on gig and pay, and yes although a truck may burn some heavy gas, I only take the jobs that require a truck and pay well. For example I’ve gone 3 miles for a gig in my truck that paid 170+, that’s worth the gas. Once you learn your area in terms of the gigs, you have the potential of living off the income, even in this pricey economy. I am a faithful driver, and plan to be so until the very end! Overall I am very very pleased!
Thankless. look this is just to tell people to not get into my position. I am grateful for the opportunity to earn some money when I don’t have any other options, however, if you want to feel down and bad about yourself and bad about the people in the world, you should work for them. You don’t get any tips ever, and when they are included your pay from roadie decreases so it never makes a difference. I’m not even sure if it’s all their fault. I think a lot of the time stores like Home Depot the tractor supply place people place orders and they d. But those companies keep it because they are the ones who scheduled the driver for instance, I have seven deliveries from Home Depot right now as and it is a total of not even $30. I think it’s like $27 for all seven of them broken down. That’s not even four dollars a delivery without any tip when I look at the mileage that I’ve driven so far and that is just doing the job not the miles. It takes to get there. I am not even making a dollar a mile so double that time to get back to where you started and you’re not even getting $.50 a mile and no tip. So like I said, I’m not really complaining about the app itself. It is the pay and the lack of appreciation shown by everybody involved. The pay is not justifiable with what we are expected to do and the wait time we have when we go to pick up at different stores and then all of the special instructions to drop off and we’re expected to jump through hoops and we don’t get any compensation for it it’s miserable. Again, this is my only option and I’m grateful for it, but I really wish people I don’t know if I’d take customers or the companies involved but somebody really needs to give a little more to show that it matters what we do. To make it worth it for people to want to do it. The wear and tear on the car alone is horrible for a little compensation.
CAVEAT EMPTOR. Not sure why this app seems to have fallen off a cliff ever since merging with or being bought out by UPS but RoadieShould change its name to Cliff diver and the logo should be a UPS truck with one broken wing and a support person hanging out the other window. back before UPS decided to screw up a company and before that company decided to sell out… One could make a pretty good supplemental income off of this platform you’re not gonna pay every single bill with it but doing deliveries as they come up in the app once or twice every other day you can make good money or could make good money. those airport trips I will take a bag to somebody’s house for $75 at two in the morning every single day of the week… But those have seemed to decline in numbers and I live in an area with two of the biggest airports in the nation and we all know how everybody in the airline industry loves to lose luggage… I digress the point of this review is on and gig or delivery gets canceled by the person that requested the delivery be made so by the center for whatever reason Roadie since a courtesy payment based on the size of the delivery. Does it matter that you drove 42 miles to the pick up location just to have it canceled because like I said for whatever reason and the company says I’m gonna get paid but then I get a four dollar payment open “courtesy payment“ that doesn’t even pay for my gas that I had to burn driving to the location. They are deceptive they’re unethical and Support basically tells you to screw off if you ever have to chat about Bonnie I was hung up on or the chat was injured involuntarily by my truck a few months ago about a completely different situation. And then they’ll block you if you inquire too much about your account… Haven’t been deactivated yet but after this review I’m sure I will be oh well cancel me rowdy I don’t care you’re going to be canceled soon
Absolute garbage.. There’s a four letter word that starts with S and this is its show. Customer service is absolutely not helpful at all, anytime a delivery gets canceled. You get four lousy dollars and you have to stay there for 15 minutes after you find out. Discount Tire will call you to Delivery and then make you stand in lime and wait behind customers for 15 to 20 minutes before they go get the tires you are supposed to deliver. Anytime you get stuck waiting for over 15 minutes. They’re supposed to give you an extra four dollars, but they don’t even do that. Nothing about the customer service agents is helpful and you are basically out there on your own getting underpaid for every single thing you do. They hey literally assigned me to a delivery today at a pharmacy that closes for 30 minutes for lunch. I got not an extra penny for sitting around for an extra 20 minutes. When I got to the Delivery site, I attempted to swipe the arrival bar and make the delivery and all it would do was warn me about proper protocol in medical deliveries so now they’re going to pay me for that hour of my life and 7 miles of driving a mere seven dollars and change. Hard dis-recommend.
Don’t waste your time. They will underpay you every chance they get. Driver “support” is pathetic, takes HOURS for an initial response but if you stop for 5 minutes to fill the gas tank, they are sending messages telling you to hurry up and finish the delivery. Even when you are dealing with issues at a pick up, you get notifications to tell you to hurry up or you will lose the gig. They owe me money for a mis-quoted gig, i can prove payment should be adjusted, talked with a support person who also agreed and left a note yet when it came to getting paid, I’m still fighting for my money. Conveniently i had to complete the gig before payment was adjusted which I know from experience CAN be adjusted before leaving pickup if you haven’t taken your photo. It gets cancelled, readjusted and reassigned to you before going forward with the pick up. what a waste of my time. doesnt pay well enough to maintain the abuse on your vehicle. I’ve been doing this for over 2 years and I am currently looking for a 9-5 because this is slavery. Just another example of greedy corporations and a jacked up economy.
No Comminication. Update: Wow the updates they’ve made to the app have truly surpassed a lot of the issues. From the customer service to the turn around time to fix an issue is a lot quicker and you get better customer service that feels like we’re all a team, thank you! Unfortunately I’ve had my roadie acct for months, I’ve been waiting to do a drive for months. The customer service just tells me to wait for the system. I’ve uploaded clear photos, when pdf or jpg and still get met with the automated unable to verify drivers license or insurance when I upload. If only they had hired help that wanted to get more people working🤷♂️ UPDATE: Still many coding issues on the app. I’ve spent 4 hours of my own time asking the customer service for help and issue is still not resolved.
Pay per mile. If your only gonna i ok ay us .50 cents a mile. Then please take the 4-6 hour time limits off so we can over lap orders to get more pay for your low bids. As long as we deliver everything in that day it should be good so take off time limits and let us fill up our cars and trucks with deliveries to make it beneficial for the drivers and their cars. PVD drivers should make at least $1 a mile so if you do t wanna pay $1 a mile let the experienced drivers load up to get to that. Other than that you’re hurting the drivers with time limits. It’s called same day delivery and as long as we get them in the same day get off the time limits they are extra especially when the companies are putting 104 miles for 45$. That’s not even the state and federal limits so please drop time limits and you will see how much better this will get.
POOR MATCHING SYSTEM, DONT USE THIS APP. This matching system is HORRIBLE. Terrible. The worst I’ve seen. I have a 5 star rating in 2 trips and was rejected for every delivery I went for after that, about 10 to be exact. For NO REASON. The A.I “Rosie” you is not a good paring system. It almost seems biased in some kinda way. It’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to get deliveries and make money and I have a 5 star rating. I have a 3 row LARGE SUV equipped to handle MOST of these with ease. Things like medicine and small items shouldn’t be an issues at ALL. So why am I rejected over someone else ????! On top of that, they want you to drop off 10-30 items to 12 different locations over 50 miles for $25. The pay is garbage and insulting to your time and your vehicles health. This should be a first come first serve! Not a selection of options to choose from. This makes this app very bad to use, unfair, biased, and is not even worth it anymore. Things like this can affect someone’s mental health and self esteem and money very negatively if they don’t see it another way. This is very very bad ….. fix this before you lose driver and have no one to deliver your customers items. Real talk.
Historically speaking…. With approximately 8,000 gigs complete and an excellent 5 Star rating, I love the business model. Since UPS bought out the co Pay many things have improved with the ability to deliver, EXCEPT… Customer Service/ Roadie Support Staff (what used to be called the “Roadie Pit Crew”). I think that was because they were so fast to solve problems and take care of issues. Now the support is bad; Really Bad! Once you reach someone, they can usually solve the problem, however now it is impossible at times to reach anyone. We used to be able to call in, now that option doesn’t really exist. Chatting is ok, but the wait for help can be hours… really, Hours! If they improve that, life will be wonderful. I have enjoyed the flexibility and the money. I hope that they can improve this area of the business because time is money for us.
Seriously. Don’t say I didn’t warn you
It’s good but needs a fix.
My experience with roadie🙂. “I can’t say enough good things about Roadie! I’ve been delivering for them for a while now, and it’s honestly been an awesome experience. The flexibility is fantastic—you get to choose your own schedule, and the variety of gigs is really cool, from Walmart to PetSmart to prescription deliveries. Plus, it’s super reliable—way more than I expected! What’s really special is that you can take this gig anywhere—it’s nationwide—so if you love to travel, you can literally get paid while seeing the country. And one of the best parts: if you’ve got a partner or a friend, they can download the app and they can ride along to! Me and my fiancé love to go all over and see the different views. It seems since i started doing roadie I’ve learned all the best views are on the back roads leading to someones house. It’s like a mini road trip adventure every time you hit the road. If you’re looking for a side hustle that’s flexible, fun, and lets you explore, I’d definitely recommend Roadie!
Terribly disappointed. I have driving for roadie for 2+ years and am a 5 star driver, however there is literally no support at all. The chat gives answers that make no sense and if you have to call be prepared to be on hold over an hour and not get resolve to the issue. God forbid you need help on an active gig because you will not get it. And if there is something wrong with their system they will give you no help. The system crashes a lot and you put in offers and they sit on pending for hours and they claim it’s the algorithm. I was told that maybe it’s because I wasn’t in the area of the order. I was literally in the parking lot. I was told maybe my background check was pending, again I’ve been with roadie two years and am a 5 star driver. Speak to a human, that’s a laugh. The gigs can be great but they lack in everything else. I have recommended the app to people in the past but will never again recommend it to anyone. If you don’t already drive for them don’t start your wasting your time and energy.
Has potential….. I’ve been working with this company for about a week as a career and the routes are pretty decent. However, customer service is nonexistent. The company literally leaves you on your own to figure things out. So for those reasons you get no more than three stars. On my first day I had some issues and the route was expected to be completed in 5 1/2 hours and from the time I started to the time I finish not one customer service rep ever came to the chat to help me with my issues. Eventually, I had to figure something out on my own to make it work and ultimately complete the route. Although they offer self-explanatory videos and explainers, there are occurrences that can still happen outside of what is explained in the video. Unfortunately for me that happened on my first day. But other than that, it’s been a pretty OK experience. I’ll continue using the app and working with the company And see how it improves.
Very Unprofessional and Unreliable. I've got thousands of deliveries with 5 star reviews and suddenly I stop getting work. No reason given. Support claims there is no problem when there obviously is. When you contact support they either lie or just repost something from the help section. If you are on a delivery and there is an issue it can regularly take three hours or more to contact support. If you can't complete a delivery because of a breakdown or an accident there is ZERO way to have another driver do a 'rescue' and complete the delivery for the client. This used to be a reliable platform with great earnings potential now it is an expensive hobby. Considering that this is a UPS company they are now damaging their own brand. This is such a disappointment, especially considering how good it was even a year ago.
Well-excected operation, except for . . .. I wanted to start delivering today, but upon selection of a “gig” (as Roadie calls delivery jobs) - after having been waitlisted for over a month - I was informed that I’d have to wait 3-14 days for a background check to be performed. Like, WHAT?! I’d taken all the time to verify my identity and that of my vehicle, and so forth - but now this delay? Doordash had included the b/g check as part of the registration process, and cleared me within a minute, so what gives? What makes it more disappointing is that the way that Roadie operates is so well-organized and pays relatively well, such that I’d prefer driving for Roadie than for Doordash. Then there’s the offshore “support” agents, who don’t quite have a native’s handle on the English language, which compounds the usual fustration with “support” agents’ seeming glibly insincere and evasive. I fuguratively and literally cannot wait for them to be replaced by an AI chatbot trained partly by observing their mistskes.
Roadie is a Scam. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS APP!!! I just started on the app and Roadie wasted 2-3 hours of my time for a simple pickup order at a pharmacy for a measly $8.75. I went to the pickup address and asked the employees multiple times if they had the order ready, and they told me that they didn’t see the order’s name or even the recipient’s name in their system. So when I tried to cancel the order, the Roadie told me that they couldn’t do it and that I had to wait 30 minutes at the pharmacy just so I could cancel. And then once those 30 minutes were up, the app told me that something was wrong with their system and they couldn’t cancel the order, also telling me to contact an agent. I sat in my car waiting for an agent to enter the chat for an hour and no one showed up. Then googled their company’s phone number and called there. I SPENT ANOTHER 2 HOURS ON THE PHONE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ANSWER. No way to cancel, no way to talk to someone, and no reimbursement for wasting my time. To this day, I am still waiting to talk to someone so that they can reimburse me. On top of that, I gave my bank account and social security to this app that looks nothing but shady since no one answers the phone for 3 hours.
Algorithm Still Has Glaring Issues. The side hustle overall is not bad, but it sometimes takes too long for the algorithm to decide what to do with an offer. Sometimes it never even decides anything. Roadie likes to say it’s about efficiency, yet what happens sometimes is a great example of inefficiency. I have seen this various times. Today I made an offer for three gigs in a pretty small area. The pickup locations were all pretty close to each other, and so were the delivery locations. I was accepted for two, but after 30-45 minutes of the algorithm doing nothing to the other offer, I passed the pickup location for this gig on my way to my second pickup location. At that point, I wasn’t doubling back. Eventually, somebody got it, but the gig was right back on the map about 1 hour and 20 minutes after I could’ve very easily picked up the two items.
I don’t know how they expect you to make money. So I tried it there are some decent loads but a majority of the time they’re trying to pay you $.50 a mile I don’t drive a hybrid unfortunately I have a full full-size pickup truck and the loads they call for a full-size pick up truck don’t wanna pay also plenty of times where I accepted as soon as it was posted and it was given to somebody else so it’s kind of good but it’s kind of terrible. I think if they work out the bugs for the drivers and have something more efficient or as you click to submit it gives it to you right away that would be better instead of people waiting to see if they got that load and realising they didn’t because Ten other drivers clicked on it at one time in the end, I believe that the drivers will destroy this app personally because if you have to sit around 15 minutes waiting to get a order, the person is gonna actually drive off. Take the order and never get the job done. also, the algorithm as they claim to say selects the vehicle for the job I’ve seen many times were smaller vehicles were selected for big jobs. That’s how terrible it is so best of luck to your users.
Great, at first. Was able to do a handful of deliveries no issues but for the last three days have been running into a big problem. Putting offers in on gigs and response is longer than 15 minutes, have been to Walmart twice for orders Walmart couldn’t process because they weren’t on the stores end. No support available in timely fashion. When in need of assistance, plan to only be able to chat with a robot or to wait on hold if you call in for over 2 hours to never talk to a human, never received a call back and left my number. Over 45 minutes before Walmart cancelled the order on my behalf, which you don’t get paid for the time and effort trying to carry out the delivery. Had an awesome first two weeks, a lot of fun going to new places and being able to haul a wide range of things makes the deliveries a lot less monotonous. Just wish there weren’t so many bugs and lack of support.
Better pay. I think the app would be less time consuming if when you guys give us the option to hand it to a person let us just hand it to the person not have to take a picture because obviously we know and they know they got the package. A lot of people don’t like their picture taken where they’re handy been taken and there’s so many questions on when we deliver a package you should just put that in one question is the package visible and is it away from the street One yes would be fine. That would be more sufficient and less time-consuming. You should really look into trying to find your own mapping system with closer deliveries to each other because some of the deliveries are so spaced out. It doesn’t even make sense. You guys don’t pay us enough to put that much wear and tear on our vehicles mainly talking about the mail gig but that would help a lot and the buffering and every time I try to call someone the phone numbers don’t work that’s a problem and the digital keys never work that’s a big issue
Sort of desperate so it works but…. I travel the country. And I noticed that Brody pays the same rate and each and every part of the country no matter how much gas cost no matter the minimum wage. So when I’m in Virginia, I make a decent amount of money but when I’m in California, it’s like I’m making nothing. Brody knows the minimum wage yet still wants you to get up get in your car and do jobs for six dollars. And I noticed in parts of the country that they will try to pay you 50 Cent per mile even though standard DOT which is $.80 per mile. Roadie really needs to stop cheating us out of money! I tried to become a XD Driver where I get a bunch of packages but I can never get accepted for the packages cause I’m always too far away. So I drive to get closer to the warehouse and then I get. Denied packages because I’m too close. So the algorithm makes no sense. I’m not sure how to get accepted in for packages sometimes and I wish that I could rely a little bit more on Brody, but I guess that’s what these things are. Can’t always rely on them.
Needs improvement. This driver app from the UPS logistics company Roadie serves Roadie’s independent couriers. The app is not competitive with other delivery gig apps, and not yet even robust enough to be reliable. Refreshes do not happen fast enough or often enough. Inactive gigs hang, sometimes for an hour, luring drivers to a pickup when the gig offer was withdrawn long ago. This wastes the drivers’ precious time and creates massive frustration. A shame that the app makes Roadie sometimes feel like an unreliable option for gig work. Crashes happen on a daily basis even when all software is up to date. In-app chats with Support are dropped randomly. As a peak driver for UPS I can make a direct comparison with UPS’s in-house routing systems (known as DIAD), and this app compares badly. The in-app navigation is not yet seamlessly integrated with navigators on my iPhone. The UI is ok, not great. While delivering, it is too hard to see what might be coming next. The color scheme should absolutely be changed. Current colors are not intuitive when evaluating past, present and future information. The best part about this app is the excellent UE regarding finance and payment. Earnings flow reliably as expected into my bank account with no errors thus far. Three stars from a company that I would otherwise rate as five stars, based on driving experience. Needs improvement fast.
$6 for 3 hours and 100 miles. I’ve been patient with Roadie, but yesterday was the final straw. I had two gigs in a row that turned out to be ghost orders — I drove, checked in, waited for nearly an hour each time, only to be told by store staff that the items had already been picked up hours earlier. The app still showed the orders as active, blocking me from working and wasting over three hours of my time and nearly 100 miles driven (at $4.50/gal). Support chat sat open for 18+ hours with no response. When I finally got through on the phone, they gave me a laughable $6 “courtesy” payment for all of that. Six dollars. That’s not courtesy — that’s an insult. Roadie has no accountability when their system fails. Drivers get stranded, unpaid, penalized as “late” on gigs that don’t exist, and told “nothing can be done.” Until they fix this broken system, this platform is not worth your time.
Horrible support, buggy app! Don’t waste your time!. I’ve tried to use them for a couple months now but it’s just been WAY more frustration than it’s worth. On multiple occasions!! I’ve driven miles away for gigs only to run into bugs with the app, (the barcode never scans btw so I have to enter it manually every time) issues at the pharmacy, inaccessible addresses/locations and customers, and so much more! Today an issue with roadie’s orders at the pharmacy AND with their horrible app caused me to accept a gig and then get paid LESS than what I was told I would be paid when that was no fault of my own! Additionally, don’t tell me you’re going to pay me X for a gig that’s over 30 miles away and then when there’s an issue with your order you deduct the original amount I was told I would be paid from my pay for the gig? What?! I would NOT have taken the gig otherwise, so this is wrong and misleading!! I drove 60 miles today, and spent 2.5 hours on a gig (again bc there as a glitch in the app and I drove to the first location it gave me and then when I finally got there, 20 miles later mind you, it randomly closed the first drop off location in the app, redirected me to the next location another 20 miles away, and then I had to come BACK to the first location again after delivering the second item!) and they paid me $31 for all that! It was supposed to be a 1 hour gig for $40 but instead I lost TIME, MONEY AND GAS on this gig bc of their problems, not mine! And trying to get support for this?? HA! What a joke. Spoke to a robot and 2 agents over the course of like 7 hours and they aren’t helping me, they keep just leaving the chat without getting back to me or giving me any answers. LOL. Yeah, this is way too risky to use and of course Roadie leadership is tone deaf to its driver’s complaints - typical corporation. And by the way, I see LOTS of fake 5 star reviews on here. Way to exploit people Roadie!
Freedom, Flexibility, and Extra Income After Public Safety Service. As someone who is semi-retired after a long career in public safety, Roadie has been a great opportunity for me to maintain flexibility, stay active, and earn additional income on my own terms. What I appreciate most is the freedom to work when I want, without being tied to a traditional schedule. The platform is straightforward to use, and the ability to choose deliveries that fit my availability and comfort level makes it ideal for someone transitioning into retirement while still wanting to remain productive. It has also given me the chance to explore different areas, meet people, and enjoy the independence of being self-employed. For anyone looking for a flexible side income with the freedom to control your own time, I would definitely recommend giving Roadie a try.
