Neat on iPad pro. One issue (on my iPad pro); after this update, my previous gardens would crash when selected. You must start fresh with a new garden. To get rid of the crashing gardens, tap and hold. But it looks neat on the big screen, and has lots of customizations.

Wow wow wow. This thing is perfect. I am blown away. It's so beautiful. You can add different rocks and rotate them and size them and use different lighting which changes over time. The candle light flickers. Can't say enough good things. Well done!

Worth the buy. Seriously, it surprised me how impossible it felt to get a simple zen garden app for on the go. I thought there would be a bunch but almost nothing. I decided to get this one to satisfy myself because I seriously couldn’t get raking sand out of my head and I have not been disappointed. I wish you could customize your sand color but otherwise it’s everything it needs to be. I enjoy calming myself with the creative gardening and if I find rocks or patterns I like I can save them so I don’t feel bad shaking them away or starting with a new one. This had potential to be partially done cheaply made with a sand texture and some stone jpgs, but there’s a 3D element to the sand and it’s lighting which makes this both quality and extremely satisfying to use. Every once in a while the sand clips but then you just re-rake it 🤷🏼‍♀️ No undo buttons in a real garden ;)

Almost perfect. Very neat app. I thought I was looking at a picture. Love all the options, but could use some more. (like a stream running through the sand, maybe an open book,etc.) just some ideas. Very nice job

If Only…. Dear Developer, I paid $2.99 for this app, and am thankful that I did. However, if you (the developer) simply added the realistic sound of sand raking that corresponded with user’s actions, I would gladly pay $2.99 a month. Heck, maybe even $2.99 a week. It’s very puzzling to me why you wouldn’t don’t have audio as part of the experience. Does Apple charge extra for audio? I’m not some kind of ASMR freak, either. I’m just a person who wants as soothing and realistic of an experience as a smartphone app can deliver. And you have fallen one significant step short of that.

Sand garden. This is a very fun app, I liked it immediately!

Very Relaxing!. Great app, very relaxing. The only thing I can say is it would be great to see all rocks and choose from a menu rather than clicking "different rock" and having to rotate through them one at a time. Also a way to start over with the sand while keeping your rocks. A way to tap to reveal tool menu instead of having it show on the screen as it's distracting. Overall I love this app and am looking forward to the next update!! Thank you to the creators and developers for making something awesome that makes a difference!!

intriguing. I always play this game after yoga to further my calm state of mind. This is a very relaxing and intriguing game. I never imagined for the I phone apps to have such intricate features. I am an avid supporter of your work. Thank you for your creativity and time that you put in to creating this amazing and unique app.

No sound or greenery. The sand raking mechanic is very good. It’s a bit unpredictable at times but that’s nature. I didn’t enjoy the sand colors. Three of them are okay in daylight mode and the other three look like artificial turf, which puts me off. Very photoshop color changey. The other lighting modes could have been done a little better too, as they seem to have just changed brightness level on the screen, which only makes them harder to see. The rocks are good. A bit tricky to figure out but once you do, it gives you lots of options. The polish seems a bit odd, and I’d like to see more shape options. All that would have had me rate it a 4 star, but there’s no sound and no greenery or garden objects. How can you have a relaxation app without sound? I’d have liked to hear the raking sand and a choice of meditation music in the background, maybe a water fountain or sōzu. Little temples or statues or bridges or bonsai. It just seems to be missing something.

Would be perfect if it had sound.... The sound of sand being moved around would be great.

Super!. Update is great - customizing rocks makes this even more beautiful. Relaxing and fun; great app.

Needs Greenery and Other Objects. The app feels very basic in terms of what you can do, but it’s easy to see it’s potential. If they would add in plants and other objects, that would do the trick. I also wish they would add in more tools. Without these updates, the app is incredibly basic unfortunately.

nice app. very soothing to use. wish there was a way to incorporated a ocean shore feature with lapping water on the sand!!!

What fun. I find this really soothing & just a good time. I am playing on an iPad & it takes me to another place--a good one.

Perfect. I love the shiny sand! This app is so relaxing, every part is so perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. You can even shine your rocks! I've seen the other zen gardens and this surpasses them by leagues. Good job! Update! yayy now i can save the sandgarden creations i make so easiliy! :)

One glitch in a very nice APP!. This is a great little App. However, the flow of playing with it is always brought up short for the lack of a UNDO button, which is kind of a basic function in anything of an artistic nature. Otherwise, pretty nice little app. Now how about that UNDO button, developers!?

The most relaxing, zen-like app available!. Overall, its the simplicity that counts - and Sand Garden is the epitome of relaxing and peaceful apps. It definitely sets the standards out there. Strangely relaxing, but…. Having lived in Japan, having loved the many gardens including Zen rock gardens, this app strangely brings a modicum of that peace I felt. Thanks. However the constructive criticism of reviewer MrElliott applies. I would also suggest a double-tap to bring up "Done", and "Tools" – very distracting to see while creating a sand garden.

Pretty Good. Pretty entertaining. Could use some easy enhancements. Tip: Tap rocks to duplicate, change or delete. 1. Needs a better sand texture for sure, this one is not very realistic. (Google image search: sand texture seamless) or buy texture pack. 2. Let user pick their rocks. Or show all rocks included. 3. Better erase sand tool, so you can start over but keep rocks. The straight tool almost erases sand but leaves small lines. Keep up the great work!

Relax with Zen. A highly relaxing app that encourages creativity; very enjoyable. Like the different options for sand and light, though slightly hard to see with some colors. I would love to see the developers include bonsai, but I’m still more than happy to play. Great for needing a break from the day-to-day.

A Monumental Attribute to Zen. SandGarden is by far the best japanese zen garden app found on the app store today. With 3D elements all the way through, and realism in every bit of detail down to the last grain of sand, SandGarden does an ecstatic job when transforming your iPod Touch or iPhone into that moment of peaceful bliss. With controls to allow several lighting options, textures, and even rake thicknesses, it hits the definition of modern day zen gardens, and would make any Zen Buddha happy. If they were without their Zen temple, then this would be the app to have. That being said, Japanese zen gardens are defined primarily by architecture. The key element to focus on when purchasing this app, is that the developer focused 100% around architecture, giving the end user (you) the ability to determine the framework, the elements, and the complete composition of how and what your garden will look like. I applaud all efforts, and am a fan of this app. Like i stated above, when compared to others out there, theres really no comparison. Well done. Watch this gem grow into something phenomenal, as I see it becoming the next koi pond. Well done PDJ Apps.

Love. But....needs greenery.. I used to have a different Zen Garden app that was amazing. It had the rocks and sand, but also, music and plants and other Zen objects. It also had the sound of the sand being raked. I play my own meditation music in the background when using this app, but I do miss the plants, leaves and other objects the other app had. But I do love the lighting options!!!! The other app didn’t have that!

Nice app. Nice app to draw using your fingers and create some interesting paints. Only suggestion if you can add Undo /Redo buttons Will be very helpful!

love it but. ok so i love this app a lot i like just got it and it’s great but i think it would be a lot better if there was sound of the sand moving around.

One of the best!. I find to be my "go-to" app to unwind (I have a lot of these types of APPS) and this is my current favorite!

Sand Garden Review. Sand Garden is a zen garden app that succeeds in showing how a zen app should be. From drawing in the sand, adding rocks, or changing lighting, Sand Garden is perfect for anyone who loves art, zen gardens, or needs to relax. The app starts up with a bed of sand, you have the choice of choosing one of the six tools to draw in the sand. The choice of sand color is an option too, blue, red, black, and white sand offer a variety of moods to your creation. Lighting is an option too, from the afternoon sun, to sunset, to moonlight, all the lighting variations adds a peaceful tone and the texture and shadows are to perfection. Adding a variety of rocks to your garden adds and even more peaceful tone, changing texture, shape, size, and type of rock is all very polished and easy to do. Some nice features would be saving your creation in-game, you have to do the old "press the home button and the power button at the same time." A "clear all" button would be nice as well. All in all, Sand Garden is by far the most relaxing zen app out there, and for $1 (USD), you wont regret your purchase. -Gryphon23 from TA

Love this calming app!. This app is very relaxing. I love how you can have different shapes, shadow effects and raking tools! I wish you could play music or even better if the music was part of the app! I love the fact that you can save to photos! Great job!

Needs a clear and undo function. Original Sand garden had ability to clear sandbox without saving. Also need to be able to exit with out saving or select new garden.

Zen and now. Pretty good sand and rock mechanic. Would like to pan out as another reviewer suggested. Music would be the added bonus. For the cost, you really can't beat what you get with this app.

Undo? Clear? HELLOOOO!! 👸🏻♿️. This app was gr8 @ 1 time. Like, when it first came out. Since then they’ve tried (& IMO failed) 2 upd8 it. STILL no “clear” or “undo” button. Yep. 2018 & NO “undo”. Where it sez “add rock” u will c a plus & minus sign beside both the size & polish 4 your rock, BUT NO ACTUAL ROCKS 2 SELECT! U just tap the screen & hope 4 the best. I’m so sorry guys. I love the color selection 4 the sand, the tool selection, & even the choices of light. It ends there tho & feels unfinished. So. I will FINISH it by DELETING THIS ONCE FUN APP. 🤬 U describe the upd8 as having “undo” & “save garden”. REALLY?!?!!! WHERE?!?!?!

Nice. You can really do the most of the things like a really zen garden, I will encourage to buy this app for relaxation. Nice feature the light it really add value to the app. You shuld be able to move rocks as well. In the future you shuld add sea shells.

Great. It's a great app, but I think it would be better still if you could zoom and if you could change the angle of the view.

Surprisingly engaging and relaxing. Who Knew? I expected a lot less from this app. I find myself defaulting to it over my other "chill" apps. Entertaining and very zen.

Serene and Perfect. As good as it gets. Lovingly and knowingly designed. A beautiful experience.

Crashes to much. Great visuals (lighting, shading) but it crashes way to often. I'm only keeping this app because it cost so much money, comparatively speaking, in the hopes that they will fix the bug. Save yourself the cash and get iZen lite

Yes. So many options of sand color, lighting, rock shapes and types, and rakes. Saves right to the camera roll with no issues. I do wish there was music, though.

Fun, but annoying. I found this app really fun and interesting. I do however find it annoying that I cannot save my setup of rocks and the imprints on the sand... I also believe that there should be other rock shapes and textures that could make it even more cool.

DOO NOT BUY. I bought this app a quite long a go and only played it twice it's boring you can't do anything wit it and the worst part is that I bought this app 1 year ago and it was 0.99 and now it is 1.99 so its bad enough at one dallor but to I just came to the app store to find this app and write a review™. 

Nice but.... I'd really like to be able to place the rocks on top of eachother, like on Earth, as shown in the icon itself. Also it really should have retina display by now. Seriously.

Sand Garden. It does nothing but crash. Crash after opening, crash when trying to change options, and crash when trying to use. NOT Worth the dollar required to purchase.

Perfect!!!. Great app!! 5 different tools (plus erase) 6 different sand colors 4 choices of different lighting 5 shapes of rock, 6 types of rock, + you can resize the rocks, polish, copy, rotate and resize! Fun stuff!!

Drawing bug adds to frustration instead of calming. An app this simple shouldn't have glaringly awful bugs. On my 6 Plus, iOS 9 vertical lines randomly mar every attempt at doing anything with this app. Please fix.
