Baby Noise. Can’t sleep without it!

Great app. This is great app, I have other apps and they don’t allowed continuous sounds. There’s a limit of 1 hr. This app goes on all night. My baby loves the fan sound. I’m just wondering how does the baby monitor option works? I have the app downloaded on both iPhone 4 and iPhone 6, do they sync? Just curious how that works so I can start using it. Developer can you please explain? Thanks!

Life Saver. Baby wouldn’t let us put him down... throwing the sleep sack in the dryer and playing this apps “Mom’s Heartbeat” sound did the trick INSTANTLY. Total game changer.

Not a fan of latest version.. Not too happy with the latest version. The previous UI was perfectly fine and I'm not sure why it changed. I can get past that though, it's the fact that they removed the red noise sound that annoys me the most. We've been using that sound for over two years now and it was taken away in the current version which seems silly to have removed sounds for no reason.

Audio is too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I hoped that the microphone might work but it’s either too sensitive and turns on with any little sound or does not register baby’s whimpers. Did not work for me.

This app helps me to fall sleep!. I prefer the "Brown Noise" setting to fall asleep. 😴

Love this app. I've used this app for the last couple of years to help me sleep. I travel a lot and it is so helpful to have an app on my phone that has exactly the white noise I need to drown out all the other random noises.

Can't live without it. This works great to keep the baby asleep through all noises and the night, I've used with both of my kids and works wonderful.

Best sound machine. We’ve literally been using it every night for 14 or so years! For my kids, and for my husband and me. We take it on holiday, use it everywhere. And we all sleep so much better for it. It’s never let us down.

Latest Update is Horrible. Latest versions have changed the look of the app dramatically and is hard to read. Has been the same for years and changed completely for some reason. Now they are taking away sounds we have used for years for no reason. Truly bizarre when you consider we have used and praised for years and years. Had original at 5 stars. New version is horrible and taking out specific long term noises is crazy. We used the red noise mainly and now it is gone!!! Very poor decisions on the entire app.

Use it for my baby everyday!. I love this app. I use the lullabies every night in our bedtime routine and use the white noise sounds while she sleeps. I love that it's on my phone so I can also use it in the car when she is fussy and it helps calm her down quick. I've downloaded it on multiple devices so I will always have it with me. Also, if I put my phone on silent, I can play it as loud as it will go and all my phone calls and text messages still stay silent.

Good. It is really good and is very easy to use but it does all of you need to be able access the same information on the app.

New update is terrible. Now looks like its made for children you know it's the babies parents using the app not the babies. But worse then the look is the fact it doesn't work the same. The baby monitoring feature no longer works. It doesn't shut off then turn back on like it use to it's just not the same not happy

Best baby app!. This app has worked a charm especially after a midnight feed when my little one is unsettled with wind, I put the timer on for 20mins and the Doppler ultrasound noise is so soothing that it never fails to put him to sleep. The option to turn the baby crying function on is fantastic also so if he starts to cry again it automatically starts playing again and helps soothe and self settle him without me needing to get up myself. Worth the money!!!

Crashes. Using the rattle for more than a minute crashes the app. No option to stop your phone from going to sleep which stops the app (music, rattle etc) It's also free on the google play store so don't waste your money.

Miss Mum. Used for both of my girls during the 1st year of them being born to put them to sleep and for soothing.

Loves the rattle. We prefer a different white noise app (the adult version made by the same company) because the heartbeat sounds less tinney, but my nine-month-old LOVES the rattle feature on this app.

Too quiet. I don't know if it's the app or what but this thing is way too quiet for baby. White noise should actually be rather loud and this just doesn't cut it. It's okay at night when everything else is quiet but during naps you can barely hear the thing at all. It blocks out no noise. Also the monitor is inconsistent. It's a great concept but sometimes it will pick up the tiniest peep and others baby can cry her head off and it never kicks on. And it's always in the same spot in relation to baby so I know the issue isn't on my end. I want to love this more but it's annoying having to use another speaker when I already have to keep the phone plugged in because it drains the battery. That's just too many darn cords.

We like it!. We have been using this app for our son since he was 2 days old and he is now almost 2 YEARS old and still loves it! The white noise puts him to sleep instantly even now at toddler age. We have this app on both our iPhones and our iPad so we can use it whenever and wherever we go. Multitasking and being able to use other apps or texting would make this app perfect and 5 stars. Just needs multitasking!

It worked!!. I usually don't write reviews but one day my baby woke me up after a feeding at 3am and didn't want to go back to sleep. So I was looking for a white noise baby app to see if this would help him sleep... As soon as I turned on pink noise... He knocked right out! Thank freaking god!!! 5 stars!! I LOVE this app!

Lovely App. I have used this app's lullabies since my baby girl was a newborn, and now at 10months old it still works wonders when she is fighting sleep. I especially love the sleep timer which will turn on the lullaby if the baby wakes and startles them selfs. Real life saver I would recommend to any new parent.

Fantastic!. Our granddaughter sleeps so much better when she has white noise playing in her crib. I love this app because it has white noise options as well as a timer which goes all the way to 24 hours! Because the app is on my phone I can use it where ever I babysit.

wow!. Purchased a few days ago and every time I've used it with my 8 week old it calms him almost immediately! He falls asleep quickly to the doppler ultrasound. I will say the sound was quite different on my i-pod vs. my newer phone and I do wish that the app could stay on while using other apps. However I love the timer feature and this was easily worth 99 cents!

Dependable. It is the best app

Loveeee it!!!!. I absolutely love this app. My 2 month old sleeps with this every night. It helps drown out her dads snoring also. :) At times when she is very upset and flailing her limbs around in furry, I swaddle her then throw on the pink noise and she knocks out. She also loves the white noise app with water sounds. Thank you White Noise. You are a Mommy saver. ;)

Love it!. My 1 month old daughter immediately calmed down as soon as I purchased this app and opened it up. She was so fussy and just was fighting her sleep. But she loves the sound of the vacuum cleaner but I couldn't vacuum that long without burning the motor. Hence, I bought this! And I LOVE it! I wish the app could be running in the background tho. If they could change that, I'll change to 5 stars.

Babies LOVE this app. I work with mothers and babies every day. This app is one of the few I recommend. It is consistently effective, soothing, and pleasant for mom to hear as well. Helpful for nap and nighttime, it can also distract a baby who is having a 'moment' to refocus and calm. Appreciate TMSoft's responsiveness and customer service.

Awesome app!. I never write reviews for any app but this one works great! We've been using it for a week now & as soon as we turn it on & put the baby down she falls asleep! Work great at drowning out the noise from the other big kids & she sleeps for hours!!

Works great. I love that volume can be adjusted (most white noise machines aren't loud enough for my baby) and the timer function. For the developers, the only suggestion would be to offer a fade out option where it gradually gets softer until it turns out. But it works great as is for me, I highly recommend.

Keeps getting better. I've been using this app for a while now. Used it for my first and now again for my second child. The older child has a sound machine in her room but the baby is still in the bedroom with us. I use this to help acclimate him to having a little bit of sound while he sleeps so when he goes in to his own room, he will have his own sound machine but it won't bother him.

Lifesaver. Our youngest is an EXTREMELY light sleeper, and this app helps drown out the noises from outside his room. Still using it at 18months old...this app was a lifesaver! The baby monitor feature was great when he was younger, now I just let it go all night long and during naps

Great, but not. This is a great app, if it is the first app you choose. I downloaded this one, and the free version of the relaxing melodies baby app. I am much happier with the other one. It has all the same sounds plus more, and allows you to layer sounds. This means baby can have clock plus piano for nap, mommy can have rainforest sounds for her nap, and family can collectively fall asleep to ocean sounds at night. Overall I am kicking myself for spending .99 on this one, when the other ones free version is ten times better than this. There isn't anything wrong with this app- except that there are much better ones available!

Well thought out features and very useful app. Great white noise app for babies. Best feature is that it doesn't get interrupted if the phone rings or a text comes in! And I love the timer feature, especially the gradual volume reduction (instead of a sudden turning off) at the end of the timer. The ocean waves sound is our go-to for sleepy time.

Saved me so many times!. This app was highly recommended to me from another first-time mom. When our daughter was 4 weeks, it was like a switch turned on and everything was too stimulating for her to go to sleep. It was horrible! My dear friend suggested we purchase a white noise maker but in the meantime we should get this app. I downloaded it one particularly difficult evening of 2 hours straight of crying and screaming-- within minutes, our little one was fast asleep! We still use this app today and she is 9 months! Perfect for the car during trips or when you are away from home and don't want to pack a bulky white noise maker. Thank you for making this app!!! You saved us so many times and still save us! A happy baby = a happy home. :)

Use it all the time!. This has been so handy with my newborn. I use the white noise for naps and bedtime, and the rattler is a good distraction if we're out somewhere and he's fussy. I like that there's a timer and music option too. Only wish that the heartbeat noise could be played at the same time as one of the other white noises.

Great white Noise App!. It works great and we used it ever day and night for our baby and now I use it for myself to have that extra white noise. It works every time, even when you exit the app to the home screen it continues to run and will run all night. Never had an issue with it turning off while I was asleep. I bought a couple similar apps before this and they were on timers or would shut off when you would exit the app. And there is a good selection of noises too. It's a trusted app in my book!

Knocked out!. Our boy (4mo/old) has a super-easy time falling asleep during car rides. But lets face it, you cant just take the car and drive around every time he needs to nap, although I've heard of parents who do. Well, I skeptically downloaded this app and guess what... after a minute of protesting in his own way that he doesnt want to sleep, I fired up the app and let it play as i was putting him to sleep. To my pleasant surprise, 2 minutes later he was out.. and I mean OUT, because he usually wakes up as I put him in his crib. I put the phone (we have a spare iPhone) between me and him in my arms, so that he could hear it, and then next to him in his crib. Good job guys! Keep more sounds coming. Would LOOOVE a "fan" sound, or a ceiling fan (like the kind you have in the bathroom) as he slept really well when we left it on at a friend's house. Cheers!

So awesome!!!. I absolutely love this app and recommend it to all new moms that are constantly on the go, like myself. When ever my baby starts to get a little fussy, I put the rattle on and give it to him and he easily quiets. When it comes to bedtime, we do a bath, feeding, and put him in his crib with the white noise and he is out within minutes. While we're in the car, sometimes I put on the music side. Such a great app.

Great App for premature baby. This app helps my now 4 month old soothe herself to sleep...the Doppler ultrasound is her favorite. You can set it on a timer or leave it on all night without using too much battery. My daughter sleeps in the room with us and I've gotten so used to hearing it that I don't know if I can fall asleep without it!!

Best app ever. So at first i purchased this app when my daughter was only a few weeks old and we would only use the classical music portion and my daughter would fall sound asleep.. She is 4 months old now and she now loves the rattle portion of the app. The last few times that we had to use the app she was crying and crying and nothing worked to calm her down, turned on the rattle and she just stopped crying and payed attention to the rattle. Did a test and turned off the rattle and she cried again, turned the app rattle back on and she stopped.. This was well worth the dollar. I have this on two iPhones and my iPad and when restoring my phone a few times this was the first app that i would reinstall Love it must have

Best white noise out there!. Bought this app back in 2010 when my toddler was 4 weeks old. It has saved my lungs and helped him sleep. I now use it for our newest son. My toddler likes to play with the rattle feature when his baby brother isn't using it to sleep. They just added great new updates to make it even better!!!!! If you are doing the 5's this is the app for you!

A must have for new parents!. I've never felt compelled to write a review before, but this app warrants the effort. It is a total life-saver! If you follow Dr. Karp's "Happiest Baby" protocol, then you know the value/importance of white noise. I love that this app is easy to use and basically turns my phone into a portable white noise machine. So, when baby is having a meltdown or is just getting fussy, no matter where we are, I can provide him with some extra comfort with just a few taps on my phone. It also plays through the Bluetooth in my car, which is so convenient. It has saved me & baby from major hysterics on a number of occasions and I highly recommend it.

FANTASTIC for my son and myself!. I've used this app since Andrew was about 10 months old... he's now turning two... the two sounds that knock him out are 'red noise' and 'wind chimes', though the chimes are being used more and more. You can now play the sounds and play on your phone while it calms your little one, which was lacking before and my biggest issue with the app. My little guy now just grabs my phone when I turn on the wind chimes, lays down, and goes to sleep. It's also helped me sleep as well... in fact, I used it last night to stop my incessant thinking and get some rest! Great app!

Works like a charm -- Only ONE complaint. This app is a LIFESAVER. The hairdryer sound calms my 6 week old daughter down in minutes and helps her stay asleep at night. My only complaint is that it turns off if you try to access other apps on the phone or if you go back to your main screen. When I'm up with her in the middle of the night, the only thing that keeps me awake is to play games/access other apps on my phone and I can't do that if I'm using this app. Otherwise? It's perfect!

Love this!!!. Seriously love all the different noises and music this app has. It has an option for a timer but if your baby doesn't have a super set schedule (like mine) you can also just press play while you are putting the baby to sleep and pause once baby is awake. It helps my six month old sleep through the night AND my toddler nap in the afternoon while the baby is getting wild.

Best Sleep Aid. Works every time

Great value!. Lots of really good sounds to chose from and I really like that you can turn off your screen but the app stays on so we use it to play all night for our baby. Our favorite is called Conch Shell, which is a pretty constant ocean wave sound. I've heard some that vary too much from loud to quiet in between waves, but this one is perfect because it's much more steady in volume. I've fallen asleep to it many times too! I'm really glad I chose this app over others that cost more, cause this one has it all!

Works for us. Our newborn seems to fall asleep within a few minutes of turning this on. Sometimes hard to remember to back out, go over to "Settings" and turn on airplane mode, but it's worth it. For us it was worth every penny,

Oh Finally!. I literally was searching for something to entertain my infant while I wait in the doctor's office. I found this and downloaded it and within seconds my child was entertained and intrigued by the rattle! i can't wait to put him to sleep tonight to the sounds so I can let the sitter have peace while we slip off to our holiday party! Just in time!I didn't realize that it could be any better but this developer made it so without customers even suggesting any improvements! Really like the new format for all the free safety tips. Well worth it!. Buying this app for $.99 might be the best dollar I've ever spent. Several sounds to choose from, all of the sounds tend work well (some apps come with sounds that don't tend to soothe baby very well), and the app is simple and concise. Tip: try the different sounds within the app to find the ones that work best for your baby - certain ones seem to work better than others.

Use every time we travel. great for kids or sleeping at someone's home when they wake up way before you. good noise choices as there are lots of 'white-noise' variations. certain strange ones like dripping water and grandfather clock are odd but not important

Great app; MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE SOUND VOLUME TOO HIGH!. This is a great app! It has soothed our baby to sleep on many occasions. However be VERY careful about how loud you play the various sounds (particularly the White/Pink/etc Noise sounds) and how close the iTouch/iPhone is to your (or your baby's) ears. With a decibel meter I measured 100db within 8 inches of the speaker when playing at the loudest setting! This can damage hearing! Ultimately for my iPhone I set the in-app volume control to around 10% of the maximum volume bar and then when I had the iPhone volume turned all the way up the sound level was around 75db when 8 inches away from the speaker. Not sure if this level is still safe, but the "white noise" toys that we had were only this loud at full volume. There are strict levels (particularly in the EU) for the sustained sound level for toys.

Magic!. We have Ben using this app since our son was born. The white noise was like magic to get him to go to sleep and stay asleep. He is now almost 6 months and we still use the white noise through the night when we travel, and we use the music before naps! Love this app!

This app definitely works. I bought this app in a moment of desperation when our little one month old just would not fall asleep (despite visible exhaustion). It works incredibly well. It's now part of my standard routine. This would be a 5-star app, but it doesn't support background audio in iOS 4. That is a real drag since I like to use other apps and surf the web while rocking my little one to sleep. I realize some users might be confused by the noise continuing to run, but at a minimum, it should be an option one can enable.

It's puts my baby to sleep but.... I bought this specifly for the vacum sound, the only thing that works for him, but you can hear another baby crying in the background of the recording. Really?!? Now it still keeps my baby asleep but I keep checking to see if it's my baby or the recording. Why would there be another baby crying in the back? Can this be fixed with an update? Would love to give this five stars but thats just annoying.
