Apple Invites App Reviews

Almost There. This is a really cool app and I love all of the features like the shared photo album and playlist. Adding your own pictures to the invite is kool too! To be extra, I was able to create something in Canva and still upload it, which was amazing. It was very simple to create the invitation. Loved how easy it was to send out. BUT this really only works for iPhone users and that’s a major fail. YeS, a vast majority of my friends and family have iPhones but not everyone and with an invitation software you don’t just want some people, you need all people to be able to respond. I can understand how other iPhone users maybe get to use the additional features like adding to the playlist and the photos, etc., but there should be some sort of generic way of receiving RSVPs from your non-iPhone users. WITHOUT them having to sign in. That can be really challenging and difficult for people and in the end they don’t wanna bother. I feel like that’s 101 of user experience and interfacing. software adoption is always a challenge and for something like this, you need all of your guests to adopt its use. Many of the simple invitation/Evite apps let you just add your name your email and your phone number. Just keep it stupid simple. If you have an Apple account and you want all your invites together and all the extra features, then you sign in, but if not, your guest can still RSVP and get the basic details. Until this has that feature, it’s really unusable. And if this capability is actually there then it needs user interface work because my 65-year-old mother couldn’t do it but she can use evite!

Just getting started. There needs to be some forward motion on this app; not much has improved since it was launched. Why are you limiting people to quarter of the hour start times? Sent it to just 3 friends for going out to the movies but the movie starts at 6:50 (not an option in Invites). The biggest drawback is that sending out the invitation just goes out as a blank link. The people who received them thought it was spam. I didn’t see that there was no info included in the message, like the title or “you’re invited” or anything. Just a link that no one dared/wanted to click on even though it “came from me,” and I didn’t realize for awhile that’s how it went out.

Nicely Made App - Too Much Gatekeeping In Order to Use It. Loving this Invites app so far. It looks sleek. It operates smooth as butter. The new design language makes me excited for the future of iOS. And love how it pulls in other Apple app features from Photos, Music, Weather, and more to make one of the most integrated experiences on the iPhone. That being said, it’s a shame that this app includes so many hurdles in order to use it. For one thing, hiding full functionality behind an iCloud+ subscription is mindblowingly stupid and reeks of penny pinching users. What’s more, sending invites to friends who don’t have this app (and most likely won’t know what it is) are forced to open an invite on the browser than be given an opportunity to see it in the App Store and download it that way. Add to that their requirement to sign in with an Apple ID they may or may not have — and this app becomes more of a headache inducing annoyance to get everyone to use with you than anything else. Please open up this experience more.

Love the app just need some feature updates. I truly love using the Apple Invites app and have used it several times since it was released. It’s so easy to use, looks beautiful, and makes event planning feel personal yet fun. I’ve even shared it with my friends and family, and they’ve downloaded it too everyone loves the clean design and how seamless it is to send and track RSVPs. That said, I think a few small updates could make it even better! I’d love to see an option to set up reminders for guests to RSVP. Recently, a friend sent me an Evite, and after viewing the invitation I totally forgot to respond until I got a little text reminder. Having that gentle “nudge” feature built into Invites (via text or email) would really help! It would also be amazing if the images on the invites could be animated even simple motion would give the designs a more dynamic, modern feel. Overall, I absolutely love this app and hope to see it continue to grow. It’s quickly become my go-to for planning and sharing events! 🍾✨

Pretty good, but could be more functional. I like this for simple events, but there are a couple features. I wish it had. I wish that it allowed you to manually RSVP yes or no to people that haven’t done it on their own. Some people that I send an invite to just aren’t very savvy and text me their response and I want to be able to go in and mark them yes or no on my own as the host. Also, I wish that I could allow certain people to have a certain number of extra guests and not others. So for example, if I want to send my invite to three different friends and two of them get plus ones and one of them doesn’t, I want to be able to set that instead of having to individually send invites to their plus ones directly if I have it set to not allow people to share the invite.

Lots of bugs to fix- not user friendly. The app is very pretty, but if you have used other invite sites, it has some bugs that need to be fixed! 1. You can’t add guests who aren’t tech savvy or just tell you they are coming, they HAVE to use the app to RSVP. 2. You can’t change a guest count if they changed their mind about how many are coming. 3, I have apple users who said that they have RSVP”d, but their name is still in the not answered part- so now doing double the work to make sure people are using the app 4You basically can’t manage anything, it’s all up to the person, and I had to call people anyway and remind them to RSVP, - you only get to make the invite, and wait for people to respond, and send a note. Go with evite, at least you get to update and really manage a guest list. Now I’m stuck sending the link twice or just calling and highlighting a written list

Love the app, fairly new and work in progress! :). Overall it is a nice app. I would like to be able to add to guest list for those who do not have iPhone. I do like they do not have to have the app and able to bring up invite. Instead of having to individually send messages it would be nice to select individuals in a list without sending as group message. (Not a deal breaker though, just time consuming) there is a lot of cool features. I did eventually find the additional guest but would be nice to see that when creating the invitation. I have used other sites for similar things and like that i can change/edit guest list on my end. Other than that it has been great so far!

Bad user testing. I created an event for family. They all have iPhones. I invited everyone via iMessage phone numbers. They clicked on the link to rsvp which happened via iCloud web interface. They were added to event via appleid email. I did not realize that messages I was sending about the event were going out as links to web based app. None of them had installed the app on their phone. IF they happened to read the email MAYBE they went to the web app version. Being young most rarely check their email. So without a text message coming in they were oblivious to event updates. Others got freaked out by the user agreements. Why people with an appleid are getting presented with user agreements for something they have already agreed to when they created their appleid binges my mind. All we needed was a slick group chat interface but instead Apple gave us a clunky app that DOESN’T “Just Work”

Great but…. Very easy and convenient to use. Had everything set up and invitation links sent in less than 15 mins on my first use of the app. If you are familiar with Apple, you will not have any difficulty. I love that everything can be coordinated and tracked in one app. Guests also have maps available to use the day of your event. Will definitely use for future events. The reasons I did not give 5 stars: * limited features for personalization and creativity within the app (hoping these will be expanded) * host cannot update guest status for those who don’t respond via the invitation link (if i missed this, please let me know) Other than that, it works great!

Needs More Functionality. I used this for the first time to set up a gathering of friends. I found it to be a bit limited in its functionality. I also received reports that the process of RSVPing was clunky, requiring people to log into their iCloud account before they could RSVP. It felt like kind of a black box in terms of knowing what people would experience on the other end. It also does not allow you to RSVP for someone who just texts you back and says I will be there, which is pretty common. And the interface just wasn’t very intuitive. I expect that more capabilities will be added over time and I haven’t given up on it, but for now I’ll probably continue to use some of the other apps and services that I’ve always used for this kind of thing. Love this way better than Facebook events since a lot of people are not on Facebook anymore, but still feels a little exclusionary of people without iPhones…

So close to being great. This app has so much potential. One. It’s so easy to use. Two love how easy it is to invite people to the event. I do wish you could edit the invitation a little more and make it more cutesy I guess if wanted. I also wish when people rsvpd yes, they could add adults vs children. I also wish you could mark a person as yes or no to an invite or add how many rsvps. I also think that an option to print the guest list would be so nice or be able to make it into a note. Overall I love this app and look forward to using it in the future with updates. The updates are getting better! Now please please make it available so you can add someone who is coming or adjust the people who have rsvpd. Some people don’t want to rsvp through the invite and it would be nice to add them in

Almost there. Although the concept is great there are something’s that would make this a five star app. Sometimes people don’t want to download apps so it would be nice to have the option as the host to accept or decline the invite for the invitee if they tell the host in person their response, when dealing with families giving the host the option to add all individuals in that family that are invited under one invite instead of 4 invites for a family of four that way the head count is correct. Right now if someone accepts and adds their husband the husband isn’t added into the count. Also would be great to add a section where links or notes can go. For example of you do a gift registry being able to add that link or in my family they like to create a note listing the links and pictures of gifts they want so people can see exactly what they want and where to get it. Right now you can create a note to send which I guess it could go on there but everyone who hasn’t accepted can’t click the links.. also include more fonts, and backgrounds and this would be a five star for my parties

Apple Invites - Good, but needs lots of improvement.. This app is a good 1.0 release but hope Apple adds features soon. Most other invite apps are cumbersome too and luckily this one is pretty straightforward. 1) Love the AI feature — when it works. I luckily got an invite created and launched, but it crashes now when editing AI and selecting my own photo. Crashes on a brand new event now too. 2) Sending invites is fine for a small party, but just invited 80 people and there’s no batch send. It’s a lot of clicks for each one manually. 3) It doesn’t even support a unique mailing list in Contacts- you can only see full address book. 4) As host you need ability to add people or confirm on own but no options here. If you have non-tech savvy guests there’s no option to just add attendees directly, or to add additional guests to count for them. If you want to use Invites to manage your counts you have to go back to every guest and have them change any details. 5) The host interface rocks, is beautiful, and easy to navigate. The “preview” of your invite is misleading. It shows a beautiful continuous scroll of all details. But when guests view, everything is separated in sections and the interface isn’t intuitive. The details pane for the event displays just a few lines and truncates with an ellipsis (…) instead of the nice “See More” button in the host version. Odd that more attention to UI is on the host screens and less on the guest views. I’ve had to do tech support for too many guests to view info and respond. The graphics and overall interface are beautiful as you’d expect. And for simple events the ease of creation and management is fun and so easy in the app. But unless this gets some much needed attention it won’t be useful for events with larger attendees.

half-baked (4/26). Looks great but did anyone on the team actually use this for a kid's birthday? It is super clunky for this. 1) forces you to choose between a public invite link vs a private one. app should just manage this and all messaging. which one you choose affects how it tracks guests. 2) puts the person's display name from your contacts app on the invitee list with no option for the you the host to edit the name (i keep names in lower case, but wouldn't want an invite list seen by others to be all lower case). 3) adds an invitee to the list only when they successfully open the link. if they cannot, the app doesn't show them. if they then tell you directly they will or won't come there's no way to manually add them to list of invitees so you and other hosts can't see who has been invited and not yet responded or RSVPed directly messages or email. 4) forces you to select a drop down numerical limit from 0 to 9 on the number of guests each invitee can bring. for a kids birthday party where parents and siblings are welcome just let me say "more than 1 is ok" I'm ordering pizza, not hiring a caterer who needs a hard number. 5) you can set a start time but not an end time for the event. because sure, that makes sense. And on and on like this. It's frustrating and I look incompetent as a parent asking others to go through an awkward or difficult user experience just to say "yes we're coming" or "no we are not."

I Expected Better From Apple. I created my first invite and sent it out via text message. I should have included a message with the invite because nobody knew what it was. I followed it up with a message providing details to invitees. When I look at the invite to see responses, I can see the people that are attending. I also see some of the people that have not yet responded. Then there are some people that haven’t responded and are simply lost. They are included in the message but don’t show up on the invite. There are some good features in the app like expected weather and ability to create a shared album that guests can add photos to, but the overall app is still a little clunky.

Needs a few updates. As the host, I should have the ability to accept/reject the invitation on behalf of the guest list, especially for those who are not tech savvy. It shouldn’t force people to sign in, they should just be able to get a link, be rerouted to a website, and accept or reject the invitation like other invitation apps, especially for people who don’t have Apple products. And there should be a way to send invites en masse. Having to do everything individually, especially if they aren’t in my contact list already is time consuming for large parties. The app should also have RSVP deadlines. And it should send people who haven’t responded an additional message as a reminder instead of me having to do it manually for a hundred people.

Smooth and Simple. The UX of making an event is quite nice, and it’s great way to expose invitees to shared albums and music playlists without much need for explanation. I like the direction Apple went with this. If they want to really make this a gem of an app they should find a way to add in a few, often-needed features: 1. Cost-splitting. Friends will often organize events where the expectation is that the cost of the event will be shared amongst the group. The ability to display the total and pay a share within the app would be an incredible feature. This feature could grow in a lot of ways, but providing a simple total and equal share payment system would be excellent. 2. Events can often be several sub-events spread across several days. It would be great if there was a text section attached the location to provide relevant information for that particular location. Once that is in place the map feature should allow for multiple locations (I’m imagining a swipe-able card UI) to be attached to a single event. Alternatively allow parent events that link to children events. This will allow hosts to plan events such as weekend getaway’s where multiple locations are involved in an ordered manner while provided location-based event information. As an example, I plan an annual golf trip on a weekend where we stay at an Airbnb/hotel and have several golf course reservations across the span of a long weekend. Everyone pays their fair share for the trip and every year there are reoccurring questions about what course we’re playing at on a particular day during the trip. I also need to make sure everyone has paid their portion. The suggested features would do a great job of solving these problems and make this a one stop shop for planning trips of this sort. Tldr - good app for event planning, a few more features would make it the app for event planning

Quirky early version. Thank you for giving me a way to create e-invites without paying for it. This simple app makes a lot of sense to offer. It’s a great thing for Apple as it gets people to use your map, photo and music platforms. However, there are a few much needed improvements that you REALLY MUST address. Please add a way to set the time zone for the event. I just sent an invite for ET when I’m in PT. My guests see an event that will start at 2pm instead of 11am. Please allow the note field to be editable and allow someone to paste text into the note field. I would up re-typing this note several times as details about the event changed. Thanks for saving the e-invite until I can come back and finish it. Thanks for allowing me to send the e-invite via Message to a group of numbers. This is possible through the share button. That’s it for now. I’ll share more after the event.

Missing a bunch of important features. I was really excited to use this app but now that I have, i realize it’s missing a whole bunch of really important features. There is no option for me to RSVP on behalf of someone. It’s pretty annoying that I can’t select people from my contact list to send to but have to send a link one by one to each of them. I am unable to edit the guest count on behalf of someone. When someone RSVPs, it doesn’t allow them to write their name or their guests names (only shows their email address or phone number) which is challenging. There is no way to make the main picture or the invitation exciting - I wanted to add colors and stickers and other items. Ultimately I don’t think this app was very thought out and I am disappointed

A great app that is great for putting together an event. Apple Invites has completely transformed the way I plan and organize events. Too Basic. Apple Invites is a great idea, but it feels too basic right now. The design is clean and easy to use, but the features are limited in ways that matter when you are actually planning an event. There should be more tools that help with what happens at the event itself. For example, there is no way to create a potluck sign up. There is no option for guests to list what they are bringing, see what others have signed up for, or note what still needs to be covered. These are very common needs for family gatherings, holidays, parties, and community events. Apple Invites has a lot of potential, but it needs more practical features that support real event planning. If Apple adds options like item lists, sign ups, assignments, and other event logistics, this could become a much more useful and complete tool.

Super simple and streamlined. I’ve used this app for 3 separate parties and it makes things really easy! I often use the photo album function before the event to upload collages to communicate the vibe of the event 💜 the only function it’s missing for me is for hosts to have power to manually add and remove people from going/not going/maybe distinctions. I always have situations where guests don’t have apple products and can’t RSVP easily, meaning I have to keep a separate guest list with the “real” number! Or people will tell me in person or over text they are going to come, but not RSVP. Drives me nuts, need to be able to manage that on my own per contact!

Great App but needs to be Simplified on the guess side.. This is a great app and concept for creating invites. I had a major event I used it for and I had mixed reviews from my guest on how the invite reacted. Most non-iPhone users had the worse experience. By not being able to fully see the invite. Some users I had to share the invite link more than once. The other experience issue was that users are required to submit an email for the invite. That is perfect, but the issue is if the users email is already registered with Apple for any other service like Apple Music or Apple TV they are forced to login to proceed to the invite. This was problematic. There should be a way for them to proceed as a guest and not require the login step. This kept some of my guest from being able to explore any of the cool features the Invite app had for my event. Should be simplified for older folks, and non-iPhone users.

Excited for the app, even more excited for potential updates. This app couldn’t have been released at a more perfect time- my baby is turning one this month! So as I was already reaching out to loved ones, I was able to create an invite link that is also easy for people off iPhone to RSVP to! I love the ability to create an iCloud photo album for guests to upload their photos to. However, their invite management is lacking. If I had not created a checklist in notes, I would have to scroll through my messages to see who all I invited. I can’t view it in the app. The only thing I can see are responses. I also can’t manually add RSVPs, so people that had responded prior to me making my invite link have to refill out their rsvp so that I can keep track of attendee numbers. People can also only RSVP for up to 5 people, which happens to work out this time, but I do have friends with more than 3 kids so if they RSVP for their whole family, I wouldn’t be able to count all of them in the app. I will continue to utilize this app for future event planning, but I do hope to see these updates.

Needs Some Updates. Like the app so far. Only just found it and started using it. Here are my suggestions: I hope Apple sees this! There should be a way to add multiple hosts because for my event there are two and I'd like my cohost to be able to send and adjust the invite also. Also, there should be an option to hide the address either until after the RSVP/acceptance or until the day before the event for privacy in the case of using a home address. The option to add a background image is nice but imagine if it direct connected with Apple's AI generator so I can easily generate my own party background images in the app. I love the idea of the little widgets at the bottom but you know what would be great!? GROUP POLLING - for deciding things like food preferences or having a fill-in the-blank poll for who is volunteering to bring what to the party. Even one for asking the host questions everyone can also see. Maybe even integration with Apple Pay if the host is requesting to split the costs of the event with guests in an easy way. I've never received an invite- so this might already be a feature- but I would like invitees to be able to see who has received an invite, who has rsvped, and who has declined so groups of friends can easily see who else is coming!

Two requests!. Used it for my mom’s birthday party and it was great!! Two things: I would love it if guests didn’t have to put their email because some people are weirded out by that or don’t remember their iCloud password. Maybe if it had a “public” option where anyone with the link could see everything and just had to put their name to RSVP then it would be easier. Second, I would love it if you as the host could change people’s rsvp and the number of people they bring because sometimes people let you know by text but don’t change their RSVP on the event so your counts are off. On Facebook Events, you can change their RSVP response and it’s super helpful. That’s all! Great app otherwise and once those things are added it’s 5 stars all the way! Thank you Apple!

Features Lacking. Apple Invites is a great start and shows a lot of promise, but there is still significant room for improvement before it can compete with established event-planning platforms. The biggest drawback is the invitation process. Users should be able to connect their contacts and select multiple recipients at once rather than sending invitations one by one. For larger events, the current process is unnecessarily time-consuming. The app is also missing several key features that have become standard in this category. Hosts should receive notifications when guests RSVP or sign up for items. There should be an option to add co-hosts, send reminders to guests who haven’t RSVP’d, and send event reminders to guests who have already responded. Apple would be wise to take a close look at Evite. They have been in this space for years, and their functionality is excellent. Many of the features that make event planning simple and efficient on Evite are currently absent from Apple Invites. This app has the potential to become a fantastic event-planning tool, especially with Apple’s design and ecosystem advantages. However, until more essential features are added, I’ll continue using Evite for most of my events due to its more complete and polished functionality.

Looking forward to updates. This app seems super cool. I am hoping future updates allow for more flexibility. I think it would be cool to be able to have multiple events included in one invite. For example, I play on a bunch of rec sports teams and it would be cool if you could “invite” people to be on your team. Then also input all of your games, with each person being able to say input which games they can and can’t make. Currently we just typically text each week to see who is in and out. Another example would be when I host people at my family cabin on the weekends and then we do an additional activity like golfing. It would be nice to have specific events organized that are additional to the original invite. I also feel like it would be cool to be able to have flexible dates or even polling options. I know I often have a group of people I want to invite to something but finding a date is hard. I could see this app being helpful to invite people to a group and then finding a specific date that works for everyone.

Almost there. I am a big fan of this app already. I think it’s aesthetically better than other invite platforms & it works nicely with iOS already. It’s streamlined, but only in an Apple environment. Some improvements/features that would be helpful: 1. Can’t easily add a unit number to the address location. I added it in the headline to make it quicker to find than having to go into the details. 2. If you don’t use an Apple ID, you get location & time but none of the details. So I end up having to communicate more because no details are available to external parties. Without this fix there’s no point in using the app. & if people can’t respond without signing up then there’s no use in using the app when I’ll get more efficient use from any competitor. 3. Need to be able to select multiple parties to send the invite to individually, instead of having to copy paste & sending one by one. Again the design control is such a clean experience & having some of the photo options for the party are so nice! It’ll be great at my friend’s bday. But double the work outside the Apple ecosystem.

Great idea, terrible execution. Apple Invites has a polished presentation layer, but the RSVP experience quickly becomes frustrating once you move outside a fully Apple-centric ecosystem. For something as simple and universal as an invitation, the barrier to response feels unnecessarily high. Requiring iCloud accounts, login verification, or additional authentication steps for non-Apple users creates friction that many invitees — especially older adults or less tech-oriented users — simply will not navigate. This becomes especially apparent with events like children’s birthday parties, family gatherings, or community events where the goal should be simplicity and accessibility. A grandmother with a smartphone should be able to type her name, press “Yes” or “No,” and be done. Instead, the process can feel engineered around platform management rather than human interaction. The system seems optimized for the host experience and Apple ecosystem continuity more than the actual experience of the invited guest. That imbalance matters. Invitations are relational tools. Every unnecessary technical step increases the likelihood that someone disengages before responding at all. What’s missing most is a low-barrier RSVP option: * simple name entry * one-tap response * optional phone-number-based confirmation * no mandatory account creation Not everyone who owns a smartphone is digitally fluent, and good invitation design should account for that reality. The visual design is strong, but the usability philosophy feels overly restrictive for what should be one of the simplest forms of digital communication

Looking forward to seeing the app evolve. I’m very excited to see this app because I have the same idea back to 2016 and I did work on building an app like this for some time, but gave up at the end due to personal reasons. To me, Invites will be the next big social network that is as popular as Facebook and Snapchat, hope they won’t copy it :) People can contribute every detail of their participating the events. The communication, photos and videos will form unforgettable memories in their life. If the app can introduce “public events” that everyone else around the world can randomly watch, then it will be another Tiktok and even BETTER! Payment can also be an interesting part of Invites. Imagine people want to split their bills at the end of the events, they just need to enter their own expense amount and the system can then help calculate who will pay to whom, doesn’t that sound cool and convenient?! The payment system can also allow Invites to integrate with other online services like Uber and Invites can even smartly plan and prepare everyone’s trip during the event! I can’t imagine how far this app can reach to people’s everyday life. Really excited to see my idea come true though it is actually realized by others, but I’m still glad because it proves that I didn’t do the wrong work. Hope Invites becomes one of the most popular social networkin the future, can’t wait to see!

Great concept but missing features. I loved that Apple created an app that caters towards event planning. This is a good first iteration that I attempted to use for an upcoming event but I don’t think it adds enough value just yet to burden my guests with clicking a link. I work in product marketing and host a ton of company and personal events, here’s what I would improve: - Give guests +1: surprised this isn’t offered, hard to get a firm headcount from the app if folks can’t add their spouse or kids - Add to calendar: this app is native to Apple! There should be a pop up that prompts guests to add the event to their calendar as soon as they RSVP. As the event HOST, the event wasn’t even showing up on MY calendar until I manually added it! - Shared Album: I think there should be a way for guests to preview the album without adding the entire album to their phone. Most events produce 200+ photos and a singular guest may only want 3-5 of them. It would be better for them to be able to preview and select the ones they want, and upload any they have. - Going/Not Going Call Out: needs to stand out more, all of the guests I sent it to clicked the invite, logged in with their iCloud, and then were like “cool ok nothing left to do”. It wasn’t apparent that they had to tap going/not going, especially since it looks almost grayed out. - Signing in with iCloud to access invite: I kind of hate this. Most invitation platforms don’t require any sort of log in for the guest to RSVP. I see why they ask for it but we should think of a better option, SMS would be better and I’m hoping the invites app will be automatically downloaded on all iPhones to make the experience more seamless. - Design: Needs more customization for design and format. I should be able to have more control of the color scheme, add a logo, icons, extra sections for FAQ, links, etc.

That said, I do have a few wishes for future updates: • I’d love if events could automatically appear in my Calendar even if I haven’t accepted — maybe shown as transparent or with diagonal lines to indicate a “maybe.” • Once added to Calendar, it would be great if I could customize the event title to reflect my own iCloud preferences, especially for shared events with different topics or naming styles. • If the date or time of an event changes, I’d really appreciate if it auto-updated in Calendar too. • Sending invites could feel a bit more fun — maybe with animations or playful transitions to make the experience feel special. Like the one in iMessage! • I’d also love the ability to pick my own emoji wallpaper for each invite — more personalization would be amazing! • A co-hosting feature would be super helpful for planning events with someone else. • And lastly, having a built-in “rain date” option would make outdoor planning a lot smoother. Overall, it’s a great start and I’m excited to see where Apple takes this next!

Great App for Invites. I really enjoy using this app to make invites for events and the ease of creation and sharing. I do wish you had the option to add a Co-Host to the event. It would also be nice if you could view photo captions inside the Invites App. The shared playlist feature would be really nice if even users without Apple Music could be able to add music to the playlist, solely for the fact of adding to the playlist, not being able to play if not a subscriber. So if at the event, the playlist was played during the function, it would include everyone’s choice. Just some thoughts, but great app.

Cool but needs work. Really love the simplicity, layout, and ease of creating the event. Sending invites/adding and managing contacts is where it lacks forethought. Whether you add contacts manually or thru your approved contacts in settings, it does not allow you to choose what method (phone number vs email). For instance, I prefer to send via text. I sent all my invites out that way. But after they are sent, they get added to the list with only their email. There is no way to go in and change it. Therefore all notes and future communication about event goes to their email, which they don’t know to check or may not as regularly. This should be an option the host controls.

Not sure how I feel about it. While the concept of the Invites app is solid, there are several frustrating limitations. Requiring an iCloud account to accept invitations is unnecessarily restrictive and feels like yet another example of Apple creating roadblocks for non-iOS users. Though Apple may frame it as a security measure, it clearly doubles as a way to keep things within their ecosystem. Additionally, the messaging customization options are in disappointing—you can’t use bold or italic fonts, and there’s no way to embed images within messages to attendees. The invite flow is also clunky: recipients have to tap a link, then tap again to open the actual invite. It should be a one-click process. For an app focused on communication and event coordination, these limitations feel like missed opportunities to create a more seamless and inclusive user experience.

Suggestion. I like how simple and easy the invitations are. I would love to be able to add guests to your list that you don’t have contacts for. For example children like my nieces and nephews that do not have phones. Or even elderly family members who are unlikely to use technology. I would love also if you could change someone you have invested to “attending” for them if they are having trouble viewing or also are not good with technology. Mainly would like this added so that you can have accurate head counts for you event, especially when you need to know how much food you’ll need. I see other users have also mentioned adding chats which would also be a nice addition.

Need higher level invitation creator functionality. I used the app to create birthday party invites for my daughter. A lot of the parents have an iPhone and it worked perfectly because they didn’t have to mess with the invite to accept the invite and RSVP. However, I did get several complaints from non Apple users. The issue is that they have an Apple account tied to their email but it’s for their children’s iPad. They don’t want to go through the hassle of changing the passcode on all accounts just to rsvp. So they called me and told me they are going. But I have no way of managing their invitation so I’m stuck with managing the guest list outside of the app which is very inconvenient. Apple should allow the creator of an invite to manage the guest list down to updating the number of guests in an rsvp and moving a guest name from invited to going or not going so the guest list could have an accurate count in the app.

Simple and Clean, But Lacks a Few Key Features. I like the simplicity of the Invites app, but as others have mentioned it would be nice to have the ability to add a co-host. Hosts should also be able to RSVP and create reoccurring events (imagine: a weekly trivia group, book club, etc. where the host’s availability may change week-to-week). Finally, I would personally love it if all my friends used the Invites app, and all my invites were centralized here in this one app. However, in order for that to become a reality the iCloud+ requirement would need to be dropped for it to gain that kind of traction. Or, just move the playlist and photos to an iCloud+ template.

Some serious shortcomings. This app is super basic, which is fine. But there are some things that seem like a huge over site. For one thing, the invitation the guests see is not the same size as the one the host creates. On the host side, it takes up the whole screen, but for guests, it’s inside a box much smaller than the screen, so some of the invitation gets cut off. So don’t choose a background that includes important information on it or it might get cut off. Also, the host note is all the way at the bottom, after the date, time, and option to rsvp, so there is a large chance that guests will not see it. The host note should really be before the option to RSVP so guests don’t potentially miss important information

Great Concept, Poor Execution — Needs Serious Polish. As someone who has built websites and has experience in both Web UX and UI design, I was excited to see what this app could offer in terms of coordination and usability. Unfortunately, the experience fell flat due to a number of design oversights and poor workflow decisions. The concept is fantastic — one centralized place to coordinate who’s coming, where it’s happening, and invite friends. But the actual execution is incredibly frustrating and riddled with missing ease-of-use features that should be standard: • You can’t assign someone else as the host from your contacts while creating the invite. Why not? • The app is completely locked into the Apple ecosystem. Friends without Apple Music can’t collaborate or even use the playlist functionality. • When adding a playlist to an invite, it doesn’t auto-add guests as collaborators — you have to invite them separately, which is clunky and confusing. • There’s no shared notes section or comment thread. This would be especially useful in something like a potluck, where people could drop in what they’re bringing. • Overall workflow is buggy and unintuitive — simple actions like adding photos or creating a new Apple Music playlist result in janky app behavior, frequent screen switching, and an overload of pop-ups and confirmation menus. I rarely leave reviews, but this app was shockingly disappointing in its user experience. It feels more like a beta than a polished, Apple-level product. If you’re going to force people into a walled garden, at least make the garden work.

First draft?. I was able to create a basic invite but I had several problems/questions. 1) I had to contact people outside of the app because there doesn’t appear to be a way to invite +1 of the guest. 2) music was difficult to add. I had music in my library that I wanted to use but found some music was greyed out and couldn’t be selected. There was message indicating why 3) a possible enhancement would be adding the option for potluck dishes so people can tell me what they are bringing. 4) I am not certain how “notes” work. Does it send a new text message out to the invitees? If so, the text message did not show up in my messages app. I had to call people to find out if they received the notes.

Promising, but features needed. I was able to use this app to set up a birthday party for my daughter. However, I found that there were a number of features missing that would’ve made the experience much better. I understand Apple wants to push using Apple IDs, but this seemed to be a little over aggressive in my opinion, causing some guests to believe they couldn’t reply without an Apple ID. First off, you need to include a way of inviting everyone at once. A HTML email template would be perfect for this with an option for mail merge to change out the first names. Having to individually write out each email yourself is pain staking and super buggy. The mail extension would consistently crash, especially if I was using copy and paste. Names on invites were changed (this was a kids party so I was contacting parents). This made things super confusing for me as I had trouble keeping track which parent name or email was for which kid. I only had 12 guests, but a larger party could be impossible to track. Next, sending updates was not great experience for the guests of the party. Updates were communicated via email, but you were required to click a link to see what notes and updates for the party were sent. I see no reason why this couldn’t just be in the initial communication. Why make your guests take the additional step.

Needs Better Invite Sending Options. I love this app and have been using it for all me events since it came out. BUT there needs to be a better way of inviting people other than sending it to a group message or sending out a message one by one. I use this app to keep off Facebook invites but Facebook also did something this app needs, a box checking to invite everyone INDIVIDUALLY. That way you can still send an individual message to everyone AND add them to the “invited” list, but you don’t have to press send message for every single person. Unless I’m missing the option there, then it needs to be more obvious.

Could be better. I was pleasantly surprised to see this and wanted to try it out for a 4yr old party. Pros: Easy to setup, add pictures, personalize invite. Cons: Unable to change color or Font of main text, users have to have an Apple account to even open the invite, unclear instructions on which link does what when the invite is sent out. Also, when a personal invite link is created, why is it a one time use? There should also be a way to add the gift wishlist of the guest of honor. Similar to how it’s done for others. The public link should also allow you to just indicate all your attendees in the invite and have it sent to them. I had to copy the link and individually sent to my guests. Such a long way to go, but good starting point.

Fix Time problems and integrations of Calendar app as well as FaceTime calls. Add these features to Invites app: -Fix problems with Time zones differences when inviting people from different time zones it should convert the time to their time in where they are currently and see it in their time zone -Make it possible to import existing Events from Calendar app and use them as default date time and sync information as well as location to have synced informations between Events on Calendar and on invites App -Add possibility to have FaceTime call so online invitees can join online even if they couldn’t physically attend -Add possibility to create collaborative Music Playlists so anyone can add their music same apples to Notes, pages, Keynote, Numbers, Freeform and others

Love the look but missing functionality. I love the apple invites look and feel. For a free version it feels premium. I love the add-ons and the shared albums and the ease of inviting people directly from your contacts. It has the digital wow factor for sure. However It is lacking some key functionality and usability for both those invited and the host. I need to be able to directly manage the invite more effectively. I should be able to share the invite with more than one host. And they should have a host . For the people I invited, many were not able to easily login and respond. They must download the app or login into their iCloud which just seems like two or three more extra steps required than it should to simply RSVP . Responses to invitations should be able to be made easier.. and my other biggest frustration is the fact that as a host I cannot update RSVPs when I get direct messages. Sometimes last minute things happen or older folks don’t wanna download an app or don’t have time based on the circumstances to update the invite, but they do text the host. The host should have a lot more flexibility there. Please make these updates or I will not be using This app for my future parties.

Exciting App.. When I first got the notification for this app, I got really excited. This is a great start to something that I think a lot of of people will find extremely useful, including me as I have eight kids so I have 8+ parties to plan on every year. I don’t really have any complaints. I just have a few suggestions for improvement s. First, it would be great if guests could add how many people they’re bringing and bring it down by children vs adult. Next in the future, I would love to see a collaboration feature where you can assign tasks or maybe meals? Currently my family and use the Notes app to plan potluck type parties where everybody brings something. It would be really useful. If I could see all of that in one app it would also be great if this could be linked to Facebook so that I can invite my Facebook friends directly from the app. I would gladly pay a couple dollars a month for these features.

Really fun, neat idea…poor execution. This seems like another Apple supertool of convenience and innovation, but I run into nothing but issues when I attempt to use it. Invitees never seem to be able to figure out how to view the invitation or how to RSVP (could be user error but when it happens with 90% of the people you send invites to, it starts to indicate maybe not user friendly), there isn’t a way to invite or add a co-host, there’s no way to select “unlimited guests” or remove a “guest allowance” selection... there are quite a few things that seem to both over-complicate and under-perform. I hope they can address these things because the idea and app are promising overall, but if your invitees can’t use it or even see your invite, it has no purpose.

A potential but likely dud. I used this app for some party invites, and I really like how easy it is to customize, plus it integrates nicely with the Apple ecosystem. But it’s one of those tools that feels under-supported. It’s not very convenient when it comes to tracking guest responses or even referencing details later, especially compared to something like Evite. Requiring guests to sign in with their iCloud also makes some people hesitant to respond at all. It had the potential to be a great alternative, but the lack of meaningful post-launch support makes it feel like it’s going to fall flat and eventually disappear. Unless there’s a major overhaul in the future, I wouldn’t recommend using it over other invite platforms.

Suggestion. Great app. Already enjoyed my time from making my invitation on this app. I wanna suggest that we should get: - Widget support for the Home Screen. Showing the details of upcoming events. - A day and time showing live in the app and on the widget. (A countdown would be nice)

Need to buy subscription to iCloud +. Not really useful if you’re not willing to fork out more money to apple for no real benefit. If you already pay for iCloud + (and why would you?) then it is maybe ok

Apple culty. Frustrated that my guests have to go through several steps and download an application on their phone to view the invites. Many of my guests just decided not to open it at all and manually rsvp’d. I wish I could add them to the rsvps so I can keep track of numbers but no way to do that on their behalf. So much potential but disappointing

Great idea however poorly implemented. The app works great and is easy to create an invite however the effort invitees need to go through to accept/decline invites makes it unusable. Invitees need to either download the app or login to iCloud and if they don’t accept soon after receiving the invite the invite expires. Useless

Good idea but poor execution. I’ve tried to create an event through Apple Invites inviting people of all ages, tech familiarity and device types. Whether through dark patterns, bad UI or user incompetence, we’ve had to be tech support for our guests who can’t seem to view the invite without signing in to an Apple account (that many claim they don’t have). Apple, don’t ruin a good app trying to trick people outside of your ecosystem to sign up for Apple accounts. This could replace Facebook events if you stop making it a nightmare for people to access the invites.

Forces Apple ID creation on non apple users.. Looks great but we couldnt use it due to the invite forcing Apple ID creation on non Apple guests. Too much friction and likely to either confuse or annoy those outside of the Apple ecosystem.

Future update. Great and easy app to use. It would be great to be able to give other attendees organiser permissions (edit, invite and upload details).

Good so far, but improvements needed. I used the app to create an invite for my daughter’s Birthday party. I shared the invite link with my wife, who then forwarded it on to each of the parents of the kids that were invited. Some of the parents RSVP’d under their own names (rather than their child’s name). So I think the RSVP prompts need to be more clear for invitees. Some also just RSVP’d by sending a reply directly to my wife. As another reviewer pointed out, it would be good to have a manual RSVP feature for the host. I think some parents also incorrectly assumed they needed to have an iCloud account in order to RSVP once clicking on the invite link, so it should be made clearer that this is not the case.

Not quite there yet. Pretty basic needs more functionality to be actually useful

Let me save the event details as an image. This is useless for people who don’t want to provide an email or are confused by this. Please just let me save the invite details as an image I can share to older people and those that won’t be able to figure this out.

Great app. Would be good to have Apple Wallet integrated into the app so when people reply they are attending they get the option to have a pass added to their wallet. Also it would be great to be able to add co-hosts when organising events with partners or team members.

Really Disappointing. Being a lifetime Apple fan I have an expectation that one would expect from them.. but the fact that it’s glitchy, buggy and really frustrating to use which just adds to the list of disappointments that continue to grow.. the invite appears differently on peoples phones, regardless of make and model.. I personally feel Apple’s technology & software continues to decline in free fall.. you can only ride Steve Jobs coat tails for so long… It’s like watching someone in palliative care.. it’s only a matter of time.

Good idea, poor execution. The concept is great. However most people think you are just messaging a picture and do not even click to open the invite. Nice picture is a common response. Those that do open it there is sign in click here do this do that. Maybe on the invite pic have an attending YES/NO button then it opens up to a deeper menu with add to calendar YES / NO. Finally if you want to share music and photos sign in as optional. I have called friends who text back their RSVP as the invite is too complicated to bother with. Once upon a time Apple was simple and worked.

Time zone support needed. App looks great and not much complaint. But why it doesn’t support Time Zone? Even if I adjust the time zone after export to calendar, the time zone will back to original time zone once I open the app. Pls fix it asap.

Cannot set specific start and end times.. Cannot set specific start and end times. Beside the time in 15 min internals. The UI brings up the wheel when clicked but all attempts to set the time revert to the preset 15 min intervals.

Nice idea, but… Security. The recipients of my invitations were welcomed with a screen informing them they’d have to give up on end to end iCloud encryption (AKA Advanced Data Protection) in order to be able to view my invitation. And as much as I’d like them to view my invitation, having to sacrifice their security for that is a big no-no.

You can’t invite more than 100 people. The app will bug out once you’ve invited 100 people. Please add the following. Option to hide the guestlist, allow additional guests for specific guests, bulk invite, option to include text in the sms that is sent to people, export guestlist so I can print it out to have at the door of the event or an iPad app to manage guestlist and mark them off the list, option to send a note to guests based on their attendance status, option to choose which emoji is used for the background

Great, but needs one basic improvement. This would be a great way to store ‘found’ events such as upcoming gigs and comedy nights hosted by third parties. Adding to this not as a host but as an external event that can then be shared with friends in the same way. “Hey look, I’ve seen this and I’m sharing with you” to see if it’s an event my friends and I could go to. If we are, we can even have a discussion/thread in-app (but also syncs to messages as a separate, related thread)

Looks good but not well designed functionally. Not great for non apple users that don’t have an iCloud account - they are made to sign up. Plus, I forgot to say people could bring a guest, so the first lot of people had to just comment who they were bringing. As the host, I need to be able to manually update the rsvps. Especially if someone doesn’t want to create an iCloud account.

Love it!. Love this app, I think it is a great way to help to plan events and make them look really nice to present as a digital invite! I also like how the app is free for those with a iCloud+ Subscription. However I would like to see for the future maybe 1) Able to see others schedule and change dates to fit in with everyone! 2) Have an Apple wallet pass using the new pass design which can help add playlists and others! Also even for big party’s 100’s of people if required have an Apple wallet contactless/QR-Code pass to enter an event by using the pass to tap on the hosts iPhone or scan!

Works well, room for improvement. Great app, definitely what the AppStore has been missing. Few suggestions, in addition to shared albums and music, it would be good if you could have a built in shared iMessage and shared notes. Shared notes is essential for camping trips. Even if you didn’t have shared iMessage and instead a chat area. This would be a good place to discuss the event.

Simple. Love the simplicity of this. Easy to use. Haven’t used many extra features such as the photo album yet. Only glitch for me is I seem to have to log into the iCloud website in order to make my name appear as host…Can’t tap and edit it via the app. Everything else seems to work fine on the app.

Droid Users Excluded. App worked well until the time came to send invitations. Recipients had to log in with an Apple Account to *view* the invitation - without any prompt as to what the link was for and why they should log in. Droid users don’t usually have Apple IDs, so they couldn’t log in. Those that tried to were told that they couldn’t create an AppleID with with phone number as another AppleID already had that number. Which is highly unlikely. I really wanted this to be an alternative to FB Events, but it sadly isn’t.

Absolutely Fantastic. So excited to have this functionality. Notes for developers: - The time/date selection should have time zones identical to the calendar app. When creating an event overseas it uses your local time, rather than the timezone at the location of the event. - Also the ability to sign up with a phone number, or have the sender be able to choose whether contacts need to be verified could be smoother for recipients.

No functionality for dietaries. I have only just sent invite so too early to give review but did note there is no functionality to manage dietaries. Allowing guests to add dietaries that are collated into list for host would be great. You are unable to individualise invites. I.e. some will have plus one and some won’t. You can either allow plus ones for all or none.

Could be perfect. App could be perfect if people outside the apple ecosystem could participate without actually having to have an apple account. Like for example for the elderlies could just click the apple invite link, leave their name, number and their response to it. For them to create an apple account at this point is totally hopeless.

Can’t invite outside of Apple. No matter what setting you select it forces people to sign in to Apple. Which means it’s totally pointless unless you happen to only know people on iPhones. Why it won’t just send an invite with going / not going is beyond on me. So good idea, done badly. Which is true of most Apple software these days

Need lock screen widget. This is a really good and handy app for events but we need a lock screen widget

Handy and well polished.. Works really well, but can we expect support for virtual events in the future (url support for location)

Needs improvement. Some of my guests can’t accept the invite without signing up with an Apple account. Other guests who are with Apple had issues opening the link. Great potential but a long way to go.

Clicking invite link takes me to the App Store. When someone shares an Invite with me I want to add it to the Invite app. But the link just takes me to the App Store to install the app even though it’s already installed. I have a health app that can aggressively intercept all my e-script links but the Apple Invite app can’t even add an Invite via a link.

Actually this is terrible. Some people are happy to go through the “verify your email address” process, some people are not. Why not just let someone with a public link enter their name, additional guests, and an optional email address? It’s obnoxious otherwise

Features. Very good app that works really well. It would be good however if it also recorded who has been invited instead of relying RSVPs- need to keep a separate list!

Great app, shame Apple is charging for something that should be free. The app creates really nice invites that have a few helpful features like shared playlists, photos, etc, but you can’t send invites unless you pay for iCloud+. I would totally use this app over Facebook events, however I shouldn’t have to pay a subscription for this.

Great App, Needs a bit more fine tuning. I made an app for a child’s birthday we are flying to have in another state. App converts time to local Timezone and doesn’t tell you if you created the invite in another Timezone. Guests turned up 3 hours early. Also accepting of invites scares people because they are told to login with AppleID. I know this is safe. But for older people they close it and don’t progress. Maybe make it more native into the iOS experience. Maybe include invites within the OS

Almost there. First time using, I can already see one useful change to functionality. Sometimes guests who are invited RSVP verbally, or via another method. It would be good to include a manual coming/not coming button for the organiser to use.

Not a bad start. Needs shared / group admins and a cleaner web UI for non iPhone users.

Great Alternative. As someone that’s trying to distance themselves from rival platforms and event organisers, this app is a breath of fresh air. Really easy to use, can be used across all platforms, and doesn’t cost a thing. Easy recommend!

Love it but need to add one feature. So as the title says I love this app. Makes it so easy to invite people to a gathering or party. One issue and I don’t know why it wasn’t available from day 1. No additional hosts? Why and how isn’t this available! Planning a party and you don’t have curtain contacts but my partner does but cause it’s a closed invite she should be able to add her own contacts as a second host. Please fix this before May 2026 as we plan on sending out invites by then. Otherwise an amazing and helpful app

More Features Please. Generally I’m loving it but there’s things that I’d like to see added e.g ability to only allow guests for certain people (sometimes you’ve invited both people in a couple individually).

Useful but poor functionality. Getting my event loaded etc. was fine, pretty much like a calendar invite, however managing those invited and keeping track of the text message used to send the message missing. Eg it indicates those who haven’t responded but not all those who didn’t respond yet are showing. Those who are showing as didn’t respond are showing as an email address even though I sent a text message. Ultimately I feel this app needs work, fingers crossed.

Guest list privacy. I don’t see a need for guests to see who else is attending an event. The guest list and those who have responded should be private and visible only to the host. Right now everyone can see who is attending.

Good alternative to FB. Can’t wait to see how this app evolves over time but great for parties and those who don’t have social media.

Requires guests to log in to iCloud. A public link should be a public link, not gated behind a login. Why would I want my guests to go through 2FA to see the details of my event? Login should be for RSVPing, not viewing. This one design decision renders Apple Invites useless.

Doesn’t work as intended. I had high hopes for this app since it’s an Apple app. But it’s clunky. The sign-in with iCloud is horrible. Messages sent to attendees don’t always reach their recipients. Overall the UX design isn’t great. It has potential. But won’t be using it anytime soon unfortunately.

Nice info with barrier. I like what I can include in the invites, such as maps integration and tiles for info and updates, but the barriers to viewing the invitation (requiring an Apple ID or email with verification code) are so limiting. I would much rather be able to send out an invite and let people, at the very least, view the invite before going through an email verification process.

A great first version with potential. Love that I don’t need to rely on Facebook Events to officially invite my millennial friends to stuff (who also barely use Facebook to begin with). The app is a great first start and hopefully it picks up as we intend to use it. In using it for the first time, you can tell it’s missing a few features but I expect Apple to update that into future versions (such as adding a co-host for starters, or external links, and even forms let’s say you’re doing an RSVP and need polls for food or questionnaires, etc.)

But strangely enough, it does not create an event in my calendar when I create the event or when a person accepts it (both having an iCloud account BTW). Wouldn't that be a great feature to add?? (it could send an .ICS invitation for non-Apple users) Also, some events may require tasks (a checklist), so linking it to the Reminders app should be another important add-on to make it even better.

Can only invite people wirh Apple account. The app is OK and can fit a need, I see it as a small perk for iCloud+ subscribers. Too bad you can only invite people who have an Apple account. This makes the app completely useless for everyone, because if you can’t invite just anyone with the app, it defeats the purpose. Apple needs to open it up on the receiving end.

Frustrating. This app is difficult to use and I have told people to stay far away from it. As an iCloud+ user, I figured that I would use Apple Invites to manage attendees for an upcoming birthday party. I like the concept of sharing a custom invitation link to people we want to invite. From the event host’s POV, the app does NOT show the names/contact details of who was sent an invite (meaning I couldn’t see if I had entered contact details incorrectly.) I have no idea if certain invitations bounced back. It also does NOT whether an invitee has opened the link. The app supports notifications that show up as a banner and on the lock screen. However, the actual notifications were vague, which is unhelpful when viewed in isolation from the app. Also, there is no running list to view the latest activity from invitees/attendees/co-hosts. So I would see a notification that someone responded to the event, without knowing what happened (did they change their status from coming to not coming? Who knows!) From the invitee’s POV, the app is particularly frustrating. One person told me that they had RSVP’d multiple times before it actually registered on my end. Multiple people were annoyed that Apple Invites was asking them to jump through several hoops just to view the event details (verification and subscription), so they abandoned using the app and just texted me their response. All in all, I do not recommend!

Love Invites!!. Finally a way to invite friends and family quickly and easily via txt message!!

Time consuming and cumbersome. This app is an awful experience. When I invite individual guests, which you do in every other invite app that’s ever existed, I have to send the link each and every time to each individual. The app won’t send all the invites for me in one single action. So it’s very tiresome and cumbersome. We should be able to add all the guests and just click Send once. The Choose a Guest interface is awful and confusing. And the output in an email invitation is inconsistent: If you “Invite Individuals”, the email that the invitee receives just displays a link and you have to type a message to them. But if you choose “Copy Link” and paste that into an email window, the email displays the picture you added and you don’t have to also write text to say what the unique link is about. This means that you’re screwed either way, no matter which method you choose. Either you invite individual guests and have to add a description, or you have to use a generic link and anyone in the world could add themselves if they got a hold of it. And you have to paste it into email messages. You also can’t change a guest’s RSVP or change their number of guests. And you can’t fill in the RSVP for a guest. Which makes it difficult to keep an accurate count. I can’t believe this was created by Apple.

Intuitive: Lacks RSVP management. Can easily create an event and RSVP system works great for those that use it to track attendance. But the inability to manage RSVPs as a host is lacking for when some guests verbally confirm or reply via text whom are less tech-savvy.

Needs iMessage chat. Tbh feels like an app apple will leave stagnant. Tried for Christmas, it’s confusing on what purpose it serves as only inviting is pointless, I found it only really made sense for shared albums as Apple photos requires you to add individually vs sharing a link with this (usually the family uses Google Photos or Dropbox even though all but but a few of 25+ are iPhone users because none of the older gen wants to create a photo album and readd everyone in the iMessage chat) Not hard to see the potential, would be a no brainer if it had proper integration with Apple iMessage, photos, and reminders (for actually planning the event / delegating who is being what)

Great, but not there yet. It is easy and very intuitive to create the invitation, mas features like "shared album" are not working yet. Also, I understand that the idea is to all people use iOS devices, but it is not the reality. It'd be nice to be an all software friendly, so I can invite everyone without having to think "do they use an iphone?"

Widget Issues. It’s pretty good overall and like how it’s easy to send invitations but the home screen widget does not work in clear icon mode for iOS 26.

Great Concept, forced to pay. Another great idea ruined by greed … why not have some premium features on a subscription basis it’s not like I can’t just text people individually anyways …

Great way to create fun event cards. I started using this app after I saw a friend using it. I love the way the information is displayed and gives fun options like photo albums and playlists. It also a great alternative to using something like FaceBook for this type of thing.

Addition. Co-host would be perfect with that, there’s a lot of potential here. Nice job!

Love it but wish no paywall. Love this app but disappointed that you can’t even use this app without paying for iCloud+ at least let free users have like limited access to some features and then to access other better features you would have to pay that would be great!

Good start but more is needed. There are additional features that would make it actually useful. 1 - As others have said, assigning a co-host. 2 - Allowing people to list what they’ll bring (and make it so everyone with the app can see it), and 3 - allowing hosts to change the status of attendees. Right now, we still need a group chat to coordinate who’s bringing what, so this isn’t much more than a pretty invite, and I could have done that in Canva.

Paywall. There is no incentive for people who already use free invite apps to download this. You can’t send invites without iCloud+, only receive them and rsvp. Lots of potential but no intention on getting iCloud+, I’ll stick to free apps for now.

No live activity. Bro this app is like A COPY of WilliWidgets without live activities and NO WIDGETS ON THE HOME SCREEN!!! AND IT’S NOT EVEN FREE 😵😵😵

Great App. Please integrate it with FaceTime to plan fun online meetings.. If I could schedule group FaceTime meetings within Invites then this would take the app to the next level. There is also a potential to integrate it with Apple Arcade and Freeform to schedule online gatherings.

Frustrating on so many levels!. Clearly not developed for iPad. Annoying having to sign in everywhere. Invites to me didn’t show up in the app until someone sent me a direct link in iMessage. Definitely not ready for prime time. Good about finding a better option than having to use friggin’ FB for everything.

Great start, hoping for some improvements. I’m very pleased with the app overall and being able to use a centralized invite system that isn’t Facebook. I would hope that in the future the following features are added: co-hosts, process improvement for external invites (clearer/easier for non-Apple users or Apple users who don’t have the app).

Who did I invite... One thing that’s oddly missing is a list of who I sent the invite to. I see who’s opened the link but not a list of invitees. Who hasn’t accepted or opened the link really. I used send a text as the option so I can go back to text history but I wish it included a separate list of invited but not yet responded. Seems like a key feature. I guess it’s assumed everyone opens the link but if they don’t it’s in the twilight zone and I’m left going wait did I invite this person or that person as I have no way to easily tell in the actual invite app as a host. Other than that it was fairly easy to use.

Not fully thought out. Workflow is ok for the most basic but trying to figure out anything outside the one path of one person that’s a full Apple ecosystem user it lacks any intuition and helpful direction. Poorly put together and leads to a lot of guest frustration. Avoid.

Poorly thought out, and feature-less. Unless your invitees have the app, this is a bad experience. 1. You can’t see the invite without signing up/in to iCloud. There’s no reason for this. 2. Even if you have an iPhone you need to install the app (which must be the size of an app clip given how few features it has). 3. On the web-mobile site, the description doesn’t appear to be expandable. Change it to be a “See More” button. 4. People can’t RSVP for other people. Recommendations 1. Make this a damn app clip. It only needs to be a full fledged app for the person creating the invite. I’m sure you can whip it up in a day or 2. 2. Figure out how to allow people to RSVP & see the invite without signing in! This is a terrible product decision that every single RSVP software has had since the internet started. Don’t walk down the same road “Sports” did and implement a featureless version of apps that already exist. 3. Get your web devs to make the damn description box look expandable. 4. Add the ability to RSVP for others. I wanted this to be good so badly. I won’t say there is a massive gap in inviting software for you to fill, but I’m sure that if you do the things I mentioned this will sell iCloud+ subscriptions like they’re going out of style. Forget about your product plan if it isn’t these 4 things. Adding more widgets won’t move the needle. Making it easier to use for invitees will.

Are we joking or what?. I downloaded the app initially because it’s from Apple—I thought it might be reliable. Secondly, I liked the idea behind it. But honestly, I really regret it. First, they ask for a one-time payment just to send an invitation. Okay, fine. But it gets worse. When I sent the invites, the recipients were required to sign up for iCloud. They force everyone to do this. Wait, it gets even worse—people who don’t have an iPhone can’t receive or view the invite. Seriously, guys??? Are you joking??

Needs to be more straightforward. I love the interface and the idea, but it’s too many steps for RSVP. Apple users aren’t always thrilled to have to login to iCloud and non- Apple account holders need to get a verification code from their emails. So while sure, it adds a level of security- the Apple users aren’t always buy-in should be OPTIONAL (ie for photo and playlist features). The verification step should also be an optional setting. I anticipate that without these sorts of changes this app will be dropped in future updates.

No rsvp without login. Not everyone has iPhone. Guest cant rsvp without login in or they need to create an account. Which is absurd.

Great but could use a thing or two. I really enjoy using the Apple Invites app — it’s clean, easy to use, and makes hosting feel less stressful. One thing I’d love to see added is the ability to include polls (for dates, times, or preferences) so there’s less back-and-forth. It would also be amazing to have a simple checklist or sign-up list for things like potlucks, so guests can claim what they’re bringing. Those two features alone would make this app a go-to for me.

Pretty good app.. Nice app! It could use a few tweaks like, being able to confirmed or decline guest manually or, add guest you didn’t send an invite to but you know are coming (like a parent or sibling). This way you could track everyone all in one place. Also, a print option would be nice. I printed a screen shot but it has the invite and host box right in the middle. A host may not have an invitees phone or email and still want to invite someone. (for example my 8 year old kid’s birthday party. She does not know her classmates contact info.

Nice polish!. The app looks great and has most of the functionality I need to replace similar services. One key feature I’d really love is the ability to mark a persons RSVP for them or to add people with a response without sending them a message. We have friends who will give verbal responses and we don’t need to go through the process of sending the invite to them at that point. The UI for selecting guests from contacts could use more details as well. Sometimes contacts have the same name, but I need to see more details from the contact sheet to make sure it’s the right one.

Not ready for publication. Literally yesterday I was using Google Calendar and was frustrated at the lack of functionality for organizers to manage RSVPs. When I saw this announced, I was excited. Less than halfway through my first use, I wished I was back on Google - and that was before I found out that Apple’s solution has the same limitation I dealt with yesterday on Google. This app works ok for a very small group. Once more than 5 people are invited, the app gets buggy and crashes. (iPhone 14 Pro Running iOS 18.3) 1) In order to add more personal invitations, I have to close the app, wait, reopen app, reopen invitation, tap add guests, pick guest, send invite, and the app crashes as soon as it’s sent. 2) Contacts are arranged alphabetically by first name, not by system default. 3) No method to pick a bunch of people on a list and send personal invites at once. The process to do so is tedious. The app is pretty, but it’s not functional enough to be out of alpha, much less beta. 2 stars. Just use a calendar invite or a third party that actually works.

Not up to industry competitors. This app is not sufficient for basic needs. The user interface is beautiful. It’s also user friendly (for heavy iphone users, but there are many bugs when distributing the event links, trying to update details, and many basic needs. Ex: 1) sometimes the event link stops working when too many people (~10) click on it. You then have to go back and manually add people 1x1. 2) When I was editing the event page and pressed done, it didn’t save changes 3) non-Apple users get a log in screen FIRST. If they aren’t an Apple user that automatically deters them. 4) This app’s goal is to collect user data, not to be a functioning event/invitation tool.

Sleek app, but some confusion by invitees. The app is nice, but some requested changes: - having to login to Apple ID is confusing guests. I know there’s a link to open invite without logging in but it’s hard to spot. And I get questions from guests. It’d be better if the default is to open invite simply via email and the Apple ID login is a secondary option. - when opening invite on a browser, clicking on the map location opens Apple Maps but doesn’t drop a pin in Apple maps. Invitees then need to go back to the browser, check the address, then manually type address in Apple Maps. Would be great if a pin is automatically dropped when Apple Maps opens. - a couple of guests think clicking on the “going” button on the main page is sufficient, not realizing that the “going” button simply calls up a pop up that needs to be filled in and “submitted”. It’d be better if the button for RSVP on the main page simply says “RSVP here” to call out the pop up. Then the guests will need to fill out the pop up and click submit to RSVP.

Want to love it…... I want to love Apple Invites — the seamless integration with iPhone is such a win and I appreciate not having to use a third-party app like Evite. The design is clean and simple, and it makes sending invites super convenient. That said, there are a few features I really wish it had to make the experience more complete. I’d love the ability to hide the guest list, make the invite more interactive (like quick emoji reactions or simple message responses), see when people have viewed the invitation, and add cohosts to help manage events. It’s a great concept with so much potential — just hoping Apple adds a few more thoughtful features to bring it to the next level.

Good idea but needs work. I was excited to use this to plan the 100th birthday of a family member. Unfortunately basic features just did not work. Shared album - I was the only one who could see or add to it. Communicate with those attending? Nope, not through the app. Shared note to create what to bring list? No. Others couldn’t see the music list I had created to set the mood for the event (Big Band music). We held our phones alongside each other trying to see if guests could see any of the same things my app showed as host. Nope. So while I think this is a good idea with potential, it needs work.

Nice app at first, but ….. I may be a minority here, but I think being able to edit/hide the guest lists from other attendees view would be a nice option being as though other apps have that capability. Also I had to drop my 4 stars down to 3, because over the course of the past few months since the app launched, I have had an issue with receiving confirmations from people who RSVPd yes to event I am hosting. It’ll show that they haven’t even responded to the app when they have indeed responded. There’s A LOT of updating Apple needs to do for this to be perfect. I’ll be using other outside apps until a lot of these issues are resolved.

Worst invite app on the market. I was initially very excited that Apple had created an app because I figured it would work seamlessly with the contacts on my phone. It was a complete and total disaster. Not only did I have to invite people individually but at a certain point I wasn’t able to invite anyone past the letter O in my phone. I took to sharing it as a public link, but then people couldn’t open it. I sent updates regarding the time change that no one received or was able to open. I sent the invitation three weeks before the event and people would receive an expired notice on it when they tried to open it. The entire app is a complete disaster, and I will never use it again.

Love - But a Few Suggestions. I love the app but there are a few features that would be nice if added. • An optional feed where people could post things like what they are bringing to the party that everyone could see. • If you verbally knew a guest was coming you could had them as “going or maybe” • It would show everyone you sent it to, even if they haven’t opened the invite. • An optional poll when people could vote on anything (example: if they would prefer the event inside or outside) • You could ask a question with the “going” response (example: would you like chicken or fish) • People who are bringing a plus one could add the name of the plus one. • You could set an auto reminder 7, 5, 3 days out from the event. One for if they haven’t responded and one just to remind them they have an event coming up. Other than these suggestions I think it’s a great app. Everyone I have sent an invite to enjoys it!

Just okay… Frustrating. This was my first time using the Apple Invites app. I was excited because it seemed like a very simple way to send out invites. I created an invite and sent it out to my guests. While I was making the photo album shareable within the invite, I accidentally deleted it. I went back into settings to re-add it and the option was no longer available… just disappeared from settings. So, I guess I only got one chance… SMH. Also, I don’t understand why I CAN remove and re-add a shared playlist to the invite with no problem, but I CAN’T do the same with a shared photo album. Make it make sense. I can’t delete the invite and start over now that they have already gone out. Apple needs to fix this!

Love it!. This app is great. The fact that I’m able to coordinate in one spot and take on doing updates and it gets to my guest makes it so much easier. I love the ongoing going or not coming messages that come through my notifications very easily. I believe one thing that can make it even better would be to have interactive options, such as video responses or voice note responses, as well as the option to respond to those that are unable to attend or those who send a message.

Great concept, Just missing the mark in a few places. This app has such potential but is missing some features that would make it a slam dunk. Inviting guests one at a time to track who did not respond is a huge hassle. Not integrating any message you need to add to the invite within the app but instead a lag to open messages for each guest is clunky. There is a lot still missing but keep making this better!! It fills a need I have been looking for without trying out yet another service and can be so so good with some tweaks.

Great Concept, But Lacks Key Features. While the concept is great and shows real potential, there are still some essential features missing—especially when compared to competitors. For example, guests should be able to indicate the number of adults and children in their party, and hosts should have the flexibility to modify those numbers if needed. Also, the ability to format the text in the description With a few thoughtful updates, this platform could be a true standout.

Great app. Really well built app but there’s a feature I feel like the app needs and one is a feature that blocks guests from seeing who will be attending the event. Tried looking on event settings on the invite but didn’t see anything to do with that feature. Also, a couple of invited guests said it was a little bit of work to use the app since they had to add their email to use it. Is it necessary to add an email or is there a way to just skip adding an email since the invitation was texted to them? Thanks!

I love where this is going but a few updates are needed. I really love the overall ability and convenience of the Apple Invites app—it makes organizing and sending invitations quick and simple. That said, I think a few updates are both needed and crucial to improve the experience. One feature I’d really like to see going forward is the ability for the host to confirm invitations directly within the app. This would make tracking RSVPs and managing guest lists much smoother. With that improvement, I think this app could become an even more powerful tool for event planning.

New Feature. The app is amazing but adding a new feature where you can choose how many people can be invited by each person. For example I invite a person and they can bring 1 extra person including them. Another person can have 2 extra people including them. The global setting of having a max amount of people to be invited is misleading and can have many people invite more people than they are allowed to. For example if the global setting is 5 people then everyone can have at least 5 people.

Could use some improvements but really still great to use!. I recently used this platform to create a birthday invitation, and overall, both my friends and I were really impressed by how accessible and easy it was to use, I LOVE the playlist feature. The clean design and shareability were definite highlights. That said, requiring guests to sign in with their Apple ID just to RSVP was a bit of a hassle for some. It might be helpful to consider a more flexible sign-in or RSVP option. I also have two feature suggestions that could improve the experience for hosts: 1. “RSVP by” deadline: Adding the option to set an RSVP deadline would be a great way to encourage timely responses. 2. Host-Controlled RSVP Status: It would be very helpful if hosts could manually mark guests as “Going,” “Maybe,” or “Not Going.” I've had several guests confirm verbally but not update their RSVP in the app, which makes it harder to track attendance. Overall, this is a great tool with a lot of potential

Almost there!. Great user experience to set up the invitation, but on the invitee side of things, I’ve noticed some limitations: there’s no way to select the number of people attending other than the individual recipients on the list, important since you don’t want to send four invitations to a family of four as an example; didn’t see the shared photo album or the shared music album as the invitee on the invite. Also needs more font, backgrounds, and other options. Otherwise, it’s on the right track!

Missing basic functionality. This app has some cool features but it’s lacking three basic features: 1) I can’t manually add yes responses to keep track of responses I get outside of the app, 2) I similarly can’t add “Sam + 4” to keep track of head count for invitees and their families or +1s, and 3) the app doesn’t keep track of people I share the invite with the through the app unless they’re invited a very specific way. I regret using this app for my son’s third birthday where most of the children invited don’t have Apple IDs or email addresses and half the parents aren’t in the Apple ecosystem. It has just frustrated people I’ve invited and forces me to keep track of responses separately for the reasons stated above.

Great Start. I really love the clean design and ease of use in the Invitations app—it’s simple, elegant, and very Apple. One feature that would make a huge difference is the ability to manually mark guests as “Going” or “Not Going.” A lot of my invitees respond via text instead of through the app, and I have no way to update their RSVP status within the invite itself. It would be incredibly helpful to have a way to keep track of that right inside the app instead of juggling notes or spreadsheets separately. Hoping this gets added in a future update!

Public link issue. The link I sent out is supposed to be public but the app is still making me accept every person. Until they are accepted they can’t see any information I listed as part of the invite. They should at least be able to see the info we input in the invite even if they can interact with it fully. I even sent out a second link to ensure the public nature of it. There has been no change. I’m still having to text everyone individually. There should be a function where messages can occur in connection with the invitation.

Missing features. Great app and neat features allowing people to add photos from the event. However, it should give you the option the day of the event to automatically add pictures taken that day to the album without having to manually do it. It should also allow you to pick the time zone for those that may be in a different time zone than the location of the event to ensure that when they create the invite the proper time is displayed for everyone based on where the event we’ll take place.

Good concept, just needs to be easier to use.. I like the idea of a native invitation app. However, I don’t like that the invitation requires an iCloud account for invitees to look at the invitation. I wish the link to the invitation could be viewed without the need to sign into iCloud or enter an email address. This requirement makes it tougher for some legacy iPhone users and some non iPhone users. Also, a lot of people don’t remember their Apple ID password so they end up not being able to look at the invitation (and some people do not want to change their password) which makes things harder on the organizer and invitees. Also, the ability to add a potluck to the invitation would be awesome.

Almost there!. They need to do is add a little ℹ️ information symbol in the top right corner of that box with the attendees! It’s not obvious to click on the people that are going to get the current results. Trust me, I review apps and it was not intuitive. Love the photo and music idea, very clever way to get folks to want Apple services! Maybe include an Apple Pay payment button to take donations? Maybe even a what to bring shared note checklist. I haven’t tested out yet but please make sure links are allowed in the description.

I actually really like it except…. 3 things that could make it better. 1: non Apple users should not have to make an iCloud account to see an invite or RSVP. It should just be an email situation. People won’t adopt this over other solutions and they won’t just go buy an iPhone for the sake of using this app. 2: you should be able to essentially remake an even based on a previous one. Whether there’s a recurring option or just an option to update an invite. We play Dungeons and dragons and use this app to coordinate dates but we shouldn’t need to make a new event every time. 3: there should be a setting to auto sync to calendar

Disappointing execution. I was so excited to see that Apple had released something like this! But the execution is unfortunately disappointing. The main issue was that even other iphone users had too much difficulty responding to invites. It kept prompting them to log in with their Apple account. One invitee couldn’t view the invite because he had the “Access iCloud data on the web” setting off on his iphone. Then it wanted them to download the app just to view the invite. This is so much more cumbersome than something like Evites, which you can reply to with a simple click. On top of all that, the selection of invitation background images disappointingly limited.

Great App.. Poor attendees experience. It is real fun to create invite using it .. specially with integration of apple image playground. Adding guest was good .. sending options great .. now comes the pain which no one want .. whoever received the invite has to provide email and login using apple id after multiple verification ( even on iphone ) .. i called my friends to verify and there response was its a pain .. no one want to do provide email and login .. they just want to see the invite and respond to it .. Guys please check evite or other invitation app and correct it .. i have wasted all my time creating invite on it as i dont my invitees to have pain in responding to my invite and has to send another invite using other way.

Great app needs ability to add a shared list so guests know what to bring, and can cross it off.. This app is missing the feature of a shared list/note. Or even just within the app something that allows all that were invited to see a shared list and be able to account for what on the list they want to bring: for example if I was throwing a bbq and wanted to use this app. I could have a list on there that says what I’d like brought , and those who are coming can sign off on them bringing that in

Unusable and Embarrassing. I rarely leave reviews but have to here. My family normally uses Partiful but I pushed for my wife to use Apple Invites for her birthday since it’s included in our Apple plan. What a mistake! Main issue: it’s unusably buggy. Nearly half of our invite list complained they saw some error message that the event wasn’t available. My wife got extremely embarrassed and started getting annoyed at me for using this “untested” platform. Thought I could trust Apple but no! Ruined some overall brand trust for me in a very public way. Additional issues I or my guests complained about: - “I don’t have space on my phone to download a new app” - Why can’t I set an event-specific photo of my wife? All my guests see is just a purple bubble with her initials… lame… - Not nearly enough customization. Partiful shines here by comparison. Overall, I deleted the app and resent our event to everyone through Partiful. This was a complete failure that I haven’t seen the likes of in a while. Another guest was also surprised how bad it was saying “Apple usually makes good things”. So, about 20 people saw this public failure and will never use Apple Invites.

Not seamlessly integrated. After creating and sending the first invite, there are a couple of strange gaps in integrations with other Apple apps that seem like no brainiers. 1-There is not a way to get a link to an existing shared photo album, you have to create a new one within the invite. 2- Once a guest rsvp’s Yes, the event doesn’t get added to their calendar. It doesn’t put it onto my calendar either. That’s crazy. I had to create the entry on a calendar and add a link to the invite. Then add invitees on the calendar entry so it goes onto their calendars. That needs streamlined. 3- Manage Guests in the sent invite is not accurate. First-It doesn’t show everyone invited. And-It shows only 1 person “not responded” when there are 5 that still haven’t responded. The person showing as not responded is changing, but still only shows 1 person at a time. There isn’t a heading for No/Not Going. It’s a great concept and was simple to use. No feedback yet from non-iPhone guests.

Shows a lot of promise, very version 1. I was really crossing my fingers this could be a replacement for Partiful, but the lack of ability to co-host, as well as the number of touches to invite each individual guest, is kinda a problem. I have some recurring parties at my house, and I want to be able to re-create and re-invite the regular guests without it being tedious. It’s pretty, the app feels smooth, but needs refinements to make it feel like it’s more than “basic”. And the fact is, I’m not using an invite app for a party so small that basic will do, I’m just texting people for those.

Missing Features. Ok app but a lot is missing. For instance, as the host, I’d like to be able to RSVP for someone. If someone verbally tells me or messages me separately they are coming or not, I would like to be able to add them as a “yes, “maybe”, or “no”. Other apps such as evites has that capability. Also, as the host, I would like to reply to any RSVP comments. I am only able to see the comments but cannot not respond. In order to respond, I need to see who commented, and then either text them or call them separately to respond. This should all be integrated into the app. The app does have nice features regarding anticipated weather, shared phot album, etc… but a lot is still lacking.

Ok Start, But A Lot Of Room To Improve. I’m not really sure why this is a separate app versus a feature of Calendar, but be that as it is, I expected quite a bit more slickness out Apple. The interface is extremely straight forward and it does look pretty when totally filled out for an event. That’s about the extent of the positives. The weaknesses are many. Perhaps most shocking is a surprisingly weak integration into iOS. The lack of integrated ability to accept and update status right from in iMessage seems like a big miss. Requiring all parties to download the app killed the RSVP functionality for us when we first used it as no one did. Elsewhere in the app, the shared photo library and playlist seem like a good idea… but they’re locked to the app. When combined with the fact the feature is tied to iCloud+…. it’s just unclear who this is actually for or how Apple thinks this is going to build an audience. Not the company’s finest software GTM.

App has a lot of potential , but major flaw with this app is the notifications. The app is easy to use and invite people, though we had some feedback that they weren’t able to log in easily with their icloud. Most people don’t have notifications on by default so any notes or communications/reminders we would send out after we’re never delivered to participants . Why doesn’t the message get delivered also by text and/or email? At least offer the option . Hope Apple actually fixes this fundamental flaw otherwise this is the last time we will use the app

*NEEDS* Much More STAT!!!. This app is an awesome idea and tool for iOS users! I’ve already created an invite and I’m hosting my upcoming birthday celebration using it. Apple Invites needs a lot of work. It’s very basic, bare-bones, and minimalistic, to describe it best. I do love the, “approve guests,” feature. My invitation was forwarded to people I did not invite, and this feature made them provide their email address in order to view the invitation so I was able to block them from doing so. For the developers, a really cool feature to add would be to have music playing for the invitation. I know I would like to add some music to jazz up my invite! I already have a playlist set up, but I don’t think anyone is paying attention to it.

Don’t use this app. Oh where to start. Requiring people to know their Apple ID password sounds so basic but let me tell you it’s a nightmare. Only about half my guests seem to be able to RSVP. You have to either know your Apple ID, or use an email that has never registered for an Apple ID and then you must verify that email. If you think the average person can do this, think again. Also you cannot manually add people to the “going” list, if for example they cannot figure out how to view the invite. The follow up notes can only be short and only show up in the app. So users have to have the app. There isn’t a push to text or email. Why didn’t I just use Evites which has worked great for 25 years?

A few missing features. As the host, you should be able to mark as accepted or declined for specific guests - i’ve gotten replies back via iMessage and I shouldn’t have to instruct them to go back to the invite and accept. You should also be able to select contacts and send invites out via iMessage in batches/bulk - yes you can do a public invite link, but if you want to send individual links, it can get TDS having to send each individual iMessage instead of just selecting them from the list and having it sent those individual iMessage for you

Why This App?. No one asked for this. Not a single person needed this. Why are you wasting your time developing apps that we DO NOT NEED and DO NOT WANT?! Please start developing features we can actually use, not giving us the same phones and iOS year after year with pointless features. Samsung and Google are light-years ahead of you (esp in AI) and THIS is what you give us? Tell Tim Cook to stop donating to Trump and being full-on MAGA and to start listening to what customers need. What has Apple innovated in the last 5 years that hasn’t completely flopped (I’m looking at you, Vision Pro)?! Ya’ll used to be the innovation company and now you’re just another company who only cares about shareholders. WHAT ABOUT US?!

Excellent features but a few big flaws. The organization and feature set make this a great way to host an event! Despite this it needs some work. Two big flaws: it is too difficult for invitees who do not have the app installed to see what they have been invited to - requiring opening the invite in a browser window and requiring and iCloud login to see the details of the event is enough to dissuade many. You also cannot manually mark their RSVP status when they vocally tell you because they couldn’t open your invitation.

Nice app, needs more features. This is a great addition to the Apple app lineup. It works well with all users regardless of the OS they’re using. It streamlines the process for digital invites without incorporating social media which is great. It would be nice if we could add a cohost, bulk invite guest with an iMessage where their names appear on the guest list as no response, modify folks RSVP information on their behalf, and respond to any notes they’ve left when they RSVP without sending a note to everyone. With further development, it would be nice to add polls (think menu or game options) and signups within the app for attendees (think potluck signup).

Great App, why no iPad version?. The Apple Invites app is a fantastic experience overall. It offers intuitive and convenient features that enhance the Apple user experience. However, it feels like a significant and an unfortunate failure on Apple's part not to introduce an iPad version of the app. Most Apple users typically multitask across multiple Apple devices, and the absence of an iPad version disrupts this streamlined experience. Considering Apple's reputation for providing cohesive and interconnected user experiences, it seems very uncharacteristic for them not to extend the app's functionality to another of their popular devices.

Strange ties to iCloud+. this is strange to me...I feel this could have been an add-on to the Calendars app. When creating an Event, if could just ask "would you like to create an invitation?" and then proceed to do what this app does.' Maybe this creates bloat to a streamlined app, maybe some wouldn't need this and would never "waste" space on their phone for it...now to take it one step further besides downloading ANOTHER app, I can only CREATE an invite as a subscriber to Apple iCloud+...ridiculous. that said, I downloaded it and started to create a test event. the app has great features for location with map, weather info...Music and Photos capabilities (perhaps this is why it is tied to iCould+but can't you JUST have iCloud+ for storage and not Music?) We have family get-togethers and everyone now has an iPhone so this could be really nice. BUT, only our family has iCloud+ so, it only really works for the parties at OUR house. Bummer Apple, Bummer.

Could Be Great. On paper this could be a great alternative to Facebook invites. A lot of my friends and family no longer use Facebook and would like a clean interface for event planning. The problem (and I know this app just released) is that it doesn’t sing well for non-Apple users. It supposedly allows these folks to see the invite, mark off whether they’re going or not, see location info, and, if they create an iCloud account, post photos. But my testing on Chrome just shows a blank loading screen. I hope Apple fixes this soon!

Good start. Needs more functionality!. This app needs more functionality to be on par or better than paperless post. 1. When the invitee receives the invitation - either give them “click here!” Or give them ALL the details every time I send an invite or an update. Currently it is not intuitive to know to click on the invitation or update. One person said - “there’s no address”. I had to ask for a screenshot and asked if he could click on it. (I shouldn’t be your tech support!) 2. I need to be able to respond to EACH invitee when they add a note. Why is this not an ability?

Love this. It’s great to have an Apple but in invitation system! I took off one star because it is not as intuitive as it could be. Several recipients, who have Apple devices, had difficulty responding. Bulk invites or making a group from the participants would be great. A reminder feature would be helpful too. Like to send an auto reminder 24 hours before the event. Having a designated place to RSVP with how many are coming would be nice, so that comments can be for extras like what they’re bringing or actual comments.

People without Apple devices cannot figure it out.. I won’t use this again. I sent invites to 65 people. About 30 of them figured it out quickly. 10 needed help, and the rest gave up and told me just to use evites next time because they couldn’t get it to work. Some either had old Apple accounts associated with their number that they hadn’t accessed in years and were locked out, or got the impression they had to create an Apple account to reply. I caught massive static from. It’s a neat idea, but it clearly is overly aggressive trying to get people to use their Apple IDs rather than just doing a simple email or text anti-spam verification. Not ready for prime time.

Give us notes!. Trying to organize a cookout or potluck is kind of a pain to manage still, especially when there are people trying to figure out what to bring. I used this a couple of times for big events like that but ended up going back to just sending a mass text so we could all stay updated on who was bringing what. Adding a notes integration or just the ability for guests to chat in the invite without need to add a separate shared note or a separate group text to keep track of would be super nice to keep everything in one place.

Good app ~ Just one feature request. I use this app every week to organize a recurring event, and it’s been super helpful for keeping track of who’s coming and sharing updates. One thing that would make it even better: when I duplicate an event, the photo album I’ve added doesn’t carry over. It’s a bit of a pain to re-add the same photos every time, especially since I like to include pictures from past events in each invite. It’d be awesome if the app could either remember the album when duplicating or let me attach an album to a whole series of events.

Needs some practical enhancements. Living the ease of this, but not being able to assign cohosts is a huge bummer. Seems like a no brainer when you’re planning an event. Also wish there was a way for host and guests to add comments for all to see and respond to if needed. Potluck style gatherings are my family’s favorite and this makes it difficult to keep track of this info, without needing to start a text group chat. Also I’m not sure why some of my guests have the option to invite others and some don’t have that option even though they all have iPhones.
