Boom!. Easily the best podcast app available! Love how clean and simple the interface is and how quick set up was! Was able to find and subscribe to all my favorite and a few new podcasts quickly and painlessly!

Perfect For Me. I have a very specific way I like to listen to my podcasts. I am cheap and have very little free data streaming on my phone plan. I download episodes at home when connected to WiFi. I listen to them in my car while driving. Playapod makes this method a breeze. It’s easy to tap on my “downloaded” button, then easily pick the episode I want to listen to. It is the perfect app for podcasts for me.

Very nicely done. I’ve been looking for a podcast app that transitions from audio podcasts to video ones, and this one is filling that bill well. It’s a solid interface with a nice design and good use of gestures. Glad to have found it!

Podcasting app that actually makes sense. This is a great app. The interface make sense, no more do you have to hunt and peck for your shows, only to find out that the iOS podcast app did not download them while you were on Wi-Fi.

Only app you need for Podcasts!. Playapod is great for keeping my podcasts organized; easy to use interface and works well when Bluetoothed to the car. I recommend this app for ease of use.

The best podcast app!. This app is already the best and only getting better. It's the only one I use now. I'd like to see it have more than one color scheme eventually, I'm not color blind and I have a hard time with the blue on grey to see if something is played or not (of course you have the option to hide played items, but I don't have that configured right now. Also doesn't support video in a podcast feed yet.

No silent skip or vocal boost. Decent podcast app. Would be better if it had features other podcast apps have had, for awhile. Such as: silence skip and vocal boost. After using silent skip and vocal boost, it is hard to use an app without them.

Needs to louder volume. I love the fact that this app uses the free and open podcast index however it’s missing many features I’m used to coming from pocketcast. It needs the ability to double the volume of the audio on all the podcasts. Volume normalization needs to be added. Also it would be nice if I could mark some podcasts to be placed at the top of the queue. Speaking of queues the app at times looses its queue especially when I reorganize my playlist. I don’t care about playlists or clips or sharing I just want what’s playing next to be in a certain order and the episodes loud enough to hear them in a noisy room.

Playapod - two thumbs up!. Far easier to use this app vs the Apple podcast App and its many incarnations. Playapod also provides short “How to” podcasts on using the app. Selecting the “new” podcast displays new podcasts; easier to move to the podcast. Also able to view where you stopped during a podcast, where you started, and what you’ve skipped over.

Best free podcast app!. I listen to podcasts much more often since I started using this app. Thank you TMSoft!

Good features but buggy. I really wanted a podcast app with bookmarks, since I like to fall asleep listening to them and wanted to be able to bookmark my spot. This does have a sleep timer and bookmarks, which is great. However, the interface is clunky and there are some glitches. It doesn’t work well with the controls on my Bluetooth earbuds - they’ve worked fine with everything else, but when I push play/pause the podcast will play, but pause doesn’t work. However when I open the app, it thinks it’s paused, and hitting play again makes the podcast start over at the point where I originally started listening when I first opened the app.

No Streaming?????. I used the tmos and boad app that are powered by playapod and I hate it because half of the time the downloads fail and without a stream option i am left refreshing and trying to Re download over and over again Todd...... fix it please.

This Podcast is the Best Yet. I’m not sure how to articulate why this free podcast player is the best but the most relevant to me is to contrast this player with the HORRIBLY designed iOS player. This player’s approach to listening to podcasts is 100% opposite of iOS so if you like iOS you may not like this one. This player is elegant in its simplicity. It’s powerful in its design allowing you to fully customize EVERYTHING with your subscriptions, either individually or globally. While listening to a podcast you can customizable on the fly as you’re listening. It has easy to FIND and understand tools/settings. So far, I’m LOVING this free podcast player - it finds ALL available podcasts and allows maximum freedom to play now, play later, timer, download, assemble playlists, etc.

Fantastic. Playapod doesn’t share my data. I can easily search for new podcasts. It’s interface is straight-forward. It’s highly custom-able. It’s everything the Apple Podcasts App fails at.

Dream App …. I listen to a lot of podcasts and have for a long time. Apple’s app has been pretty terrible and is now worse than ever. Used it as long as I could … tried a few others … this one has all manner of great features and keeps me super ‘unfrustrated’ … download and dig into features … you’ll never look back!

Excellent app. I have a very large library of podcasts so some apps run slow, I’ve been looking for a new one and this one runs great. Doesn’t lag at all and I like the way the app is organized, very good app

Reinventing the wheel. Apple keeps ruining there podcast app with each update. This fixes those mistakes and adds some additional features

Perfect organization and user friendly!. Ahhh, so much easier to use than the apple one. I love having everything where I want and need it. And love the playlist feature. Lets me just set it and go about my day with my fav podcasts in my ear! Definitely recommend!

LOVE IT!!. This app is awesome! I’m loving that I can reorganize my playlist and listen in the order I want. Also, having access to all my favs and knowing where I’ve left off have also simplified my life. This one is a keeper!

Finally had to delete Playapod. Where do I begin? Playapod has issues saving your progress, saving your playlist, continuing play on a playlist, downloading new episodes, deleting old episodes, resuming play on wired, Bluetooth and hands free devices, requires me to press play twice every time I need to resume play...In other words; stick with the stock podcasts app. For all of its flaws, it still can’t hold a candle to this buggy mess.

Use this app if you listen to podcasts. Ten stars. Seamless syncing. Always getting better. Download it.

Best podcast app. So much better than Apple Podcasts Uses the open podcasting index by default Works great with CarPlay. Can create playlists. Can listen to all new podcasts one after another. Can share podcast clips with friends. You friend does not need a podcasting app to listen to the clip. Playapod provides a unique web page with a media player for each clip you send. Many Many more great features.

Great app. My only complaint is that you should have done this sooner.

The Best Podcast Platform. I love Playapod! It’s easy to use, has tons of built in features and allows me to seamlessly follow my favorite podcasts!!

Clean intuitive design. This is the podcast app I would have developed if I had the time and skills. Intuitive, easy to navigate, and dare I say "fun" to use? Sound quality is good, and seeing play progress and visual bookmarks is a game changer. And thanks for no ads.

Best Podcast App. Way better than the standard iOS player, I love Playapod. The updates have ironed out updating kinks and made the playlist easy to manage. And the auto snap to the furthest listened position is great. Plus you can customize everything about how each show plays! Great work, keep it up.

Use Playapod daily. I use Playapod daily so I was worried when I upgraded my iPhone to an XR. Playapod transfer was seem less.

I’m impressed. The individual settings on this app are fantastic. It’s great having individual settings on different shows for example On developer website refers to this as a “passion project” and I get it

So much better!. Much better than the app that is default on the iPhone. Downloads seem faster and things are organized with simplicity. You know how to use it in about 10 second after download!

Podcast Player Done Right. This is, hands down, the best podcast player I have ever seen. As much as I like Apple, I freely admit their podcast app is weak. TMSOFT hit a home run with Playapod. It is easy to use yet it is also feature rich. I truly love the syncing it provides across my various devices.

Version 2 - lost new episodes. I really liked version 1.4.5, but for some reason they took away my favorite feature. The new episodes available allowed me to choose whether or not I want to download a podcast. Now I need to look at each subscription and determine whether a new episode exists and then open it up to download. Computers are supposed to make things easier, not harder...

Of all the podcast apps, this is my favorite. I have an old phone, and most of the other podcast apps cause my phone to crash with their interface and constant downloading. I love the simplicity of this app, and how it offers streaming/downloading options. My one suggestion would be to add a search by episode option. As of right now, there is only a search by podcast option. For example, if I want to listen to an episode on a certain topic, I could search for a episode on that subject using keywords in the episode title. Thanks!!

Still my favorite. Playapod is the podcast app I keep coming back to, and the most recent upgrade makes it even better. New ways of organizing and viewing podcast stats, clear, sensible, etc. however, did you lose the ability to unsubscribe from a podcast in the recent update? Used to be a long press on the podcast icon got you there and it’s gone now. Otherwise it’s a great app.

Really solid podcast app.. V1.2 love the new playlist feature and the ability to re-order the list. Great job. Would be great if I could re-order the individual show playlists as well. Highly recommend this app. UPDATE: either I missed it or they just added the feature to sort the individual playlist by ascending/descending, that makes it easier to listen in order, thanks TMSOFT!

Great App. I stumbled across this app a few days ago. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’ve got to say, this is quickly becoming my favorite app to get caught up on my podcasts during my daily commute. I’d recommend it.

So close to perfect… but buggy. For those of us scouring the App Store for a free—and ad-free—podcast app to replace our phone’s default app, Playapod seems perfect. No ads, lots of customization, and pretty easy to navigate after using the app for a bit. But there are some serious bugs. The Play Next feature works spottily at best on the main playlist. Most of the time, an episode ends, and then silence. The next episode in the playlist doesn’t start. I listen to podcasts on lengthy commutes, so this is basically a dealbreaker. Also, the app marks episodes as “listened” even when there are several minutes left. This can preemptively remove those episodes from the playlist, resulting in the same problem above: an episode ends, and the next one doesn’t start until I manually open the app and select it from the playlist. I really thought Playapod was the holy grail podcatcher I’d been searching for, but probably not if basic playlist functionality is broken. Devs, fix these bugs!

I want to love it, but.... I downloaded this because it had multi device syncing. I want to love this so bad, but it seems to me like it could use a bit more work first. Episodes were downloading multiple times and there was a timer before they would delete that couldn’t be altered. The playlist doesn’t loop so if you jumped anywhere in the list it wouldnt start again at the top and look for I played episodes when done. I think there’s potential but for me it’s not ready to be my primary podcasting app.

Best podcast player!. This is by far the best and easiest podcast player I've found. And no ads! I didn't try it at first, as I thought the native podcast app was just fine. But since trying it, I haven't touched the other one since. It's great!

Wonderful. Ever since downloading I have used this app every day multiple times a day with no problems… easy to use and takes me straight to my podcast enjoyment...great job!

Love it- but want to love it Moore!. TMSoft always does such great fun useful things, and when I saw this I was so excited. Long time TMOS listener so know it’s quality. Some things I need to figure out still. I try to download several episodes at a time while I do other things at home. Often I ask the app to do this and when I come back there are error messages (or not) and nothing is downloaded. I’ll be in my car going to work and find there is nothing there. Need to figure out how to keep this app “on top” so when I click my ear buds it’s there. Often times it resets meaning I have to reopen the app, make a couple of clicks, and then play my podcast. Especially a problem when exercising, running, and driving. A couple of times now the podcast does not resume where I left off, but several minutes prior meaning repeated content. Not a huge problem, but shouldn’t happen. Since getting this app I have seen great responses and updates to improve the experience, and look forward to more Moore!

So close to perfection!. If only it could play back the video of video podcasts. It’s still my podcast player of choice for audio.

Best podcast player yet. This podcast player is best I’ve used. It’s simple and makes sense. I really like the playlist feature. It gets you back to what podcast you played last. Easy search. Easy everything!

So clean, so easy, so get it!. Playapod makes finding, managing, and listening to podcasts simple and intuitive. I’m new to this tremendous world of education, opinion, and entertainment. And it’s FREE.

Best podcast app but still needs improvement. Hands down this is the best podcast app right now but it still is lacking is two important features. #1 this app seems to download podcasts much slower than other apps. #2 the automatic downloads don’t start downloading until after I open the app while several other podcast apps will just have the podcasts already downloaded and ready to play when I open the app.

The best podcast app. Everything about this app is wonderful except 2 things: 1. I have never received my verification email 2. No volume boost which in my opinion is necessary for iPhones. It’s still the best.

Playapod replaced Pocket Casts for me. I’d like say thanks for the great @playapod app which has replaced the “updated” Pocket Casts app on my iPhone. It’s feature rich and customizable. Great app. Love it, ITM

Fantastic. Used it on Android and now iOS.. So very very good. Loyal user that migrated off of android. The only thing I miss is the “now playing” feature that you could tap in the upper right corner of the Android app, but it’s a slight annoyance. The sync feature works wonderfully. I wish every app were as functional and straightforward as this one. Wish I knew how to support the devs, bc this is an excellent product.

Great cross platform app. Syncs across my cross platform devices bringing a huge relief in tracking my podcasts. One star taken off for the seemingly high battery usage.

Loses all info when phone is off.. I have logged into my account and saved my shows there. But now whenever my phone turns off, everything is lost. No longer interested in dealing with this anymore.
