Not bad. A reasonable starting point for students and residents. Badly needs an update. Did the grant run out? :-)))
Movin' on up.... I'm transitioning from pre-hospital critical care to surgical ICU. This app has definitely given me great information to assist with the transition. Thanks and keep the "pearls" coming!!!
Great App!. It's like cliff notes for medical research.
Awesome app. Best there is. Practical tips. Keep you ahead of the crowd.
Decent. Helpful tips here and there, but wish the information was more current
Drbeth. Fun app to use in spare time. Contains great information but not really useful for looking things up quickly in the actual ICU setting.
Love it!. Keeps me uptodate. Short, sweet and to the point!
Smart app. Very informative!
Love it. Would be 5 stars if there was separate pediatrics filter (I'm biased for sure).
Rn. This app is great and has made me better at my job and a better provider for my patients! This is A must have for any higher level care practitioner!
Great idea. Poor implementation. Great idea to have a daily tip/pearl for educating medical professionals. Unfortunately, I have not seen a new tip/pearl since buying this app. The app has promise, and would be very useful if they provided up to date information based upon the most recent changes in evidence based practice. Worthless to reread tips from 2006. There have been a lot of changes over 8 years. For the cost I would not expect a brand new post every day, but I would expect a daily tip that includes new posts as well as occasional repeats of previous tips that support practices affecting medical care today. I would not buy this app again, as it is not useful after reading through the tips the first time.
This is a spectacular app!. We truly LOVE this app! We get extremely wonderful resources. That we can relate to, and we know that we can just trust the information that we’re getting from this app!
Helpful app for ICU rotation. Great w/ pearls if wisdom for the ICU wards, helpful to both medical students and interns on the rotation.
Disappointing. Haven't been updated in about 2 years. References not visible in mobile app. Have to link to mobile site in safarinand then look for date of posting.
Not worth money.. Very random and mostly useless pearls with no organisation. Would not recommend to buy. Hope that this will prompt somebody to fix this issues since the idea is great for most intensive care profs.
Good but.... Not a bad app but it would be nice to have more current advice.
Good free time reader. Nice app for picking up a little research, but has a few outdated pearls so an update would be good.
Not organized. This could be a good app if it had some organization. It's randomly put together by the dates that the pearls were given.
Great for both new and continued learning. Really good app, worth the money. One complaint is many of the articles and associated links are older so the links provided don't offer anything additional.
icu pearls. This was a waste of money- articles randomly appearing in no specific sequence. Was hoping for fact tips instead got scientific articles - no the right kind of information for an app
Ok, not great app. This is app is just average. Good information, but completely randomly timed.
Love it!. Great app! Easy to use and read.
RN. This definately needs to be updated, but overall it's really good info.
Rn. Very good. Quick note
Helpful. I am a resident who is about to start icu this program has been helpful with my review of icu topics.
RN ICU. Good info, wish the material presented had more backing evidence.
PharmD student. I love this app, I'm about to start a critical care rotation and feel that having reviewed this information I am better equipped. It reminds me of spending time with an attending, picking up useful little pearls.
Does not sync with ipod touch.. Says its for both ipod touch and iphone. I downloaded it for my ipod touch and it would not sync because its not and iphone! I want my $1.99 back. Cant use this app at all.
Outdated. This is very outdated information. Also there is no way to sort by date. Please update and fix.
Great app. Love it. Very useful for working in the cardiac intensive care unit
Great product. Excellent app with useful and current information
RN. Many misspelled simple words. Proof reading would be nice. Otherwise a nice app.
Interesting information. Great for discussions with fellow PAs & brushing up on basics
Lame save your $$. I am a resident on ICU right now so I thought I would try. But save your .99. Thought that spy glass was a search option but no just mag the text. Just random icu tips not organized in any way. Pretty weak
Needs Work. It's an interesting app to look at when you've got a few extra minutes, but the references need updating. Also I wish the tips were organized into 'chapters' that you could search under.
Awesome App!!! NEEDS UPDATES!!. Great app to squeeze in some down and dirty review when you have a few minutes to kill. Only downfall is the lack of updates. This may be resolved by allowing user submissions that could be used as fodder for updates.
Excelent app. I have been reading it on icuroom for long time .High quality, practical information for icu practitioners at all levels.
Better. Needs daily pearls
.. Interesting at times, but not very current with references. It taken from more recent research, would be more useful. As it is, this is just entertaining but not a valuable resource to anyone who works in an ICU. I didn't have any issues loading it to my Ipod touch.
Great. Really like it's a great review to keep you thinking
Physician. Overall excellent pearls. Glitch in favorites which boots you out of program when saving. Would benefit from better organization.
Good App. Nice to read in my free time
Great starting place. This app has a lot of potenial!! Yes there is some gramatical errors and there is no organization to the data. But overall the information, If you take the time and go through a bunch is very good. I saw alot of new spins and tricks to utilize in the units. Definately something every resident should know. Hopefully the data will be better othanozed on the next update. Also after u save a item to favorates it won't let u go back and keep reviewing. U have to leave the app temporarily.
RN. Great info, short sweet and to the point! References available.
RN. I am using the app to help me study for my CEN I currently work as an ER RN and a Paramedic. An index would be helpful! Also newer research would be better also.
Intensivist. This is a fantastic app for anyone working in an ICU setting! Great pearls for things we do and see everyday and for those Zebras too!!
Is entertainig. Useful and entertainig , and great to read in times of boredom . Like it
Up- to-date. Though some of these topics have not changed the refrences are old
ICU Pearls. Weak. Too random. Poorly written with grammatical mistakes and errors in units of measure. Not written by an authority in ICU medicine. A similarly named book in a series of "pearls" should have been the basis for this app. I am surprised the title was allowed for this app. May be good for the PAs and ICU RNs. Not for intensivists.
ICU RN. I got this app because a few of the nurses I work with had it/liked it. True...as some others have reviewed...it gives the info in random order - BUT, it is useful, applicable information. I've been looking at it maybe couple times a week - and I feel like it is arming me with extra information to better care for my pt's - and to sound more knowledgeable when talking with my colleagues.

handy tool. I find this useful for studying and though it's by no means an exhaustive list, what it does contain is well set out, useful and with the additional references, a stepping stone to further study.
Look clever. Real life, practical tips that will make you look clever whichever department you work in.
Very useful. A good idea.. Worth the money. I look at it every day and it takes very little time.
ICU Pearls. Excellent ap. Lots of handy information and good tips.
Great App for any Critical Care Trainee. Lots of relevant pearls for anyone with an interest in Critical Care medicine. App runs smoothly and ability to bookmark allows easy access to those tips that caught your eye the other day. 5 stars
Y. Very good and easy to read
Great quick tips for daily use. Very handy, good if on the bus/train to work. Easy to access links and studies. Like the case studies in between too.

great app. excellent info, easy to use. occasionally the formatting cuts off the end of a segment. it would be great if more pediatric ICU info was included.
Great but needs an update!. Needs to be updated with more current literature, otherwise a great app.
Frcpc Neph. Useful info/ pearls
Could be much better!. Really needs an update! Much of the content is a few years old.
Interesting but needs improvement. Some interesting content but formatting and typos make it hard to read sometimes. Needs newer content too
Interesting but needs more recent data. Interesting info, easy to read however could use some more recent references. Most are at least 5 years old.

Great. Awesome app. Very concise and interesting. Worth the money!!!
Good. Nice info, it can be better if you can search by date.
Very handy!. Very handy !
Helpful app!. Enhances your knowledge base on the go! Really useful info. Even allows you to search for terms.
ICU Pearls. Love it, love it, love it ! Full of great information that you don't always get. Love the case studies. Easy and quick to read, easy to access...even funny at times!
Fast condensed concise. I like small chunks of complex information. This is full of stuff I can use every day and share with my orients on the unit.
Great ap!!!. Nice!!!!
ICU Pearls. Good pearls for rounds and for clinical decisions
Excellent app. Love this app
Icu pearls. Very good
Great app. Good interesting facts.
Good facts, needs more organization. I enjoy being able to flip thru and get random tidbits. I just wish it was more organized so that I could choose a category when I log in. I have learned lots from this app. Im an ICU RN.
Helpful. Good info.
Great app. Worth the money...great info that only takes a few minutes to read through daily
Great for icu. Love this!
Pointless. Waste of $
Slightly addictive. Gives you the feeling you have some practical insider info. Gives you pearls which could actually put into practice. Easy to digest. Infact, my baby is sleeping next to me. My daughter is sitting/climbing on my lap. I am watching my son at karate class. Despite the distractions I can easily read a few pearls and there is no way i could do that with a journal... Hospitalist Intensive care
ICU tales. I am in animal rescue so the parameters are different and you guys have access to the Big Guns, but I am able to understand some of your postings. Just a thanks.
Out dated. Very out dated material
Awesome. Helpful
Great. Great app!
Great. Great info
