Easy to use. I have just entered several addresses for Paris and it was quite easy. However, have not used it in travel.

Very Helpful. The street map allowed my wife and I to walk around Paris without getting lost. It also helped us to find things we didn't even know about in addition to the main attractions. It's great to be able to find where you and attractions are when you are offline!

Great map for traveling in Paris. The GPS and map feature in the map is really convenient for traveling in Paris when you don't have internet connection.

Don't travel without it. Prior to going on my trip to Paris I put in all the places I wanted to see and restaurants and I was interested in going to. It was very easy to use this app to look up every place I have saved.

Don’t tour Paris without it. Download to be used offline and never get lost. Nice to have the metro included.

Love this app, but…. I found this app for my second, and his first trip to one of the most beautiful places in the world. As I did my research, I bookmarked all the landmarks, restaurants, cafes, gardens, hidden passages and patisseries that looked interesting, with notes and links to the review or menu. It was so helpful as we wandered the city, to look at the app to find, “hey, we’re just around the corner from…” I told so many people about it. Now, 2 years later, as we plan another trip, it seems buggy. The map keeps disappearing. I go to see a location I pinned, and nothing. I uninstalled the app and readdded it and it worked for a while, but is broken again. We leave in a week. I hope it works.

Worth the download. This app is very helpful since you can download maps ahead of time and don't need to use data. Great maps and info

Best WiFi app for touring Paris. This app gives you the ability to locate where you are and where you need to go with a simple touch of the finger. It also tells you where the Metro is located and what cafes and restaurants and monuments are nearby. Indispensable!

I was super bummed the Wikipedia articles didn't work. I really wanted to be able to walk by something and read the Wikipedia article on it. But when you tap on "read article" it doesn't work. I was so excited to save myself a ton of research but Now I have to do it all ahead of time...

Must have to get around the city and not look like a tourist. This app has been fantastic!! We have used it get us from point A to point B, navigate the Metro stops from points of interest and look up things to do in our area. Highly recommend

Must have while in Rome or Paris. The offline GPS works great and I was able to map out most of my trip all on this app. I highly suggest it!

Finding Hotels and Restaurants. I live the Maps2Go App for offline use and the good source of hotels and restaurants. It would be better if you could add a search feature using the Map instead of just getting a list.

Ulmon. Uses are many and it’s free. Maps,subway map. Prior version seemed easier to search places and addresses but it’s my go to downloadable map with flagged locals I choose before traveling.

Very useful when using a “no network” iPad. I travel with a smartphone and an iPad. When I have network connection, it is very useful to have a precise map already loaded.

Extremely useful. We downloaded everything ahead of time and I was able to tour around Paris without WiFi. I wish every major city has such a tool.

Paris Planning. Great AP. Storehouse of info and made planning our 2017 trip much easier. Will take iPad with us to look up my favorites.

Great for Identifying Places to Visit. I started using this app to locate restaurants I wanted to try while on vacation. Then I added historic places. Then I added museums, chocolate shops, etc. Then I realized I could add notes to all these places. All of these are found on a the map by icon. And are also identified in different lists that I've named so it means something to me. Now my map looks like a myriad of different icons and colors and I've got about 7 different lists. A fabulous app to make sure you at least try to see everything you want to see and experience.

The best!. I only look for luminous apps when traveling. Very helpful and accurate. Absolutely love it!

Parts functional offline. Going to apple or google maps part needs to be online. If you use the show map, gps works to show your current position and help get to your destination.

App is great. Used for Paris, FR trip June 2017. Easy to navigate an invaluable app. Paris, FR used for anniversary trip in June 2017. Very helpful for locating streets as we moved about in Paris for 2 weeks.

Good but can't plan routes ahead. Lots of useful info with one annoyance -- when you want a route and are not in the attraction's city (for example, to see how long it takes so you can plan ahead), you can't do it. The app will only route from your current location. This also means that for a trip with multiple stops you can only get the route one stop at a time. Back to Google maps.

Love this app. I have used it several times on trips to Paris and it works like a charm! Map and destinations all in the same place! 5 stars. It would great to have more colors than are presently available for destinations in the lists.

Very useful app for offline use. Loved the metro map and offline use in Paris. Navigated everywhere without roaming. Quite easy to use.

Nice enhanced travel map. Using this app a lot in Paris, saving locations with notes is nice. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I'm not getting suggested articles that match my interests. That may be my own laziness about maximizing settings or profiles.

No Offline Capability. This app consistently fails to download offlline content. So the number one reason you would want to use this app is also the number one reason it doesn't work. It's a good start but that needs to be fixed.

Must have!. I do t know his we could have got through Paris without this app!!! Both in planning before hand and finding and going while in Paris, this app was essential to finding and learning about the many wonderful things Paris has to offer.

Awesome for Paris!. I would rate it a 5 if the metro map were on top of the interactive map. Metro map is wonderful, just wish I could see streets, too. Wonderful offline map. Love being able to save locations. I've navigated Paris with no trouble! Download this app!!!

Poor Search and Metro. I used to love this app, but now… The search function is terrible, and the Metro map outdated. It doesn’t even list the RER C line, which is kind of a big deal. And if you search for “notre” or “notre dame”, you get no results. Need to type “notre-dame” to find anything. No longer my go-to app for Paris.

Excellent value for any tourist or local. Incredibly useful. Great metro map included. Without this map i would have required an international data plan for my google map app.

Paris Lifeline. This app is AMAZING!!! We used it the entire time we were in Paris since it gave me real-time gps walking/navigation location so I could figure out directions - offline. Seriously, this app was a LIFE SAVER! We intended on using the Metro during most of our stay, which this app also give “closest metro stops” to sites, however with the strikes going on we basically walked the city. We couldn’t have done it without the help of this app. Before our trip I downloaded it & starred/saved all our points of interest we planned on visiting. While we were in Paris, I remained offline -didn’t use my data - and this app was still able to locate me on the map. Thank you for this app!!

Improvements. Nice app. It would nice if I could share or export this to my wife’s phone AND when I have a category.. for example… “Markets”, when I click on the map to locate that market, the map only show the markets I have saved and not all the other point of interests I’ve saved in other categories.

New Ads. I loved this app for years. It has all of Paris, not just the tourist parts. But somewhere in the last update, it seems to have added pop up ads, even though it’s an app I bought. My phone screen is small as it is, and I’m very disappointed the ads are now permanently on the map.

Hard to get lost with this app. Back in the day, you carried a little red map book to get around Paris. Now, you just whip out this app and you’re unlost. Nostalgia is good, but knowing where you’re going is better.

Great guide to Paris. We lived in Paris for a year in the late 1980s, but things change and this guide tells you which restaurants are the best today, rather than years ago. We know most of the sigjts/museums, etc., but restaurants and hotels are our major use of the app.

Awesome organizing app. First time to Paris and I had no idea what to do. This app really helped me. It allows you to see a list of the most popular places and save your "must see" places. Your choices are pinned in the map of Paris so you can see where everything is and what is close to each other to make for an efficient day.

Map has gone blank. I have been using this map for years for annual trips to Paris and I love it. Most recent trip last week, the map went blank. All saved places still there but no streets or saved stars show up in the screen. Is anyone else experiencing this and would someone please help me troubleshoot this?

Highly recommended!. If you are going to visit Paris (and surrounding areas) then you need this app! So basically, you get a map that looks a lot like Google Maps. It's complete with locations, road names, and even the entire metro system which was extremely useful for me! You are also able to create a "list" of restaurants, attractions, custom locations, etc, and save it all so that you know exactly where you're going in advanced. My ONLY problem with this app is that it won't show you turn by turn directions which shouldn't be an issue if you're good with directions. It also gives you recommendations of places to check out based on categories you can choose from like night clubs, shopping, the best food, and stuff like that. All in all, I heavily relied on this app during my week in Paris (It was literally my bible) and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. It didn't drain my battery either! Thank you to the creators, I truly love this app. PS: if you ever get lost, your smart phone should still show your gps location on the maps app even without service. It should be easy to use this app once you find yourself. Also, the metros will take you to almost every landmark in Paris with minimal walking so I'd invest in a "carnet" of 10 tickets at the metro.

Handy Tool. This App has helped us present our vaccination status while traveling throughout Europe. The convenience of having the entire family in just a couple of swipes. Although it’s good to have your original record as backups (never had to use) this is the recognized solution while traveling in many places throughout Western Europe.

Fantastic App. This is all you need to find your way around Paris. It locates you to within a few metres without the outrageous cost of data roaming as it loads direct onto your iphone. Street maps & metro maps are excellent. Impossible to get lost with this app on your phone. A must for any visitor to Paris. Five stars..!!

Great app easy to use and doesn't need wifi. Very useful with maps and offline search would be great to add route info but this is a nice to have. The metro map makes it easy to plan how to get from one place to another. Great list of places and sights already programmed in. I have used it every single day of my visit.

Great app. Best app to research shops attractions etc, can save their addresses as location markers. It even syncs between devices.

Awesome!. Used ulmon city apps in Europe recently. I was travelling and had no data. The offline maps in this app along with details on places of interest was just what I needed. The GPS integration showed me where I was and which direction I was heading. Just perfect...well done ulmon... Keep adding cities!!!

Getting about with ease. Using the Ulmon maps on my ipad has made travelling more wonderful. I love to wander off to where my eye takes me. I used to spend a lot of time with a paper map working out where I was but now it is just a matter of turning on my Ulmon. It not only shows me where I am but the direction I am walking. Just fantastic!

Finding location very erratic. I would hate to be really lost in Paris because this app often took ages to find our location via GPS. When it worked, it worked well but often to get a map of our changed location, we first had to enter a street name we could see and only then would the app update with our new location. It is supposed to work with only GPS but it was really only fully effective with wifi. The other complaint is that the maps do not enlarge enough to identify the smaller streets in Paris, which makes some navigation guess work. However, this app did help find our way around Paris, and the 'what's nearby' function was handy when exploring. I just would not rely on it as your only source of where you are.

Great offline app for exploring Paris. This app is really handy when travelling as you don't have to use data to acces the maps which are really comprehensive. Whilst it is a bit buggy using it on an iphone 5 it really helped me to make the most of my time in Paris.

Works well, but could be improved. Great app. Offline mode is very thoughtful considering many travelers don't have internet connections. Works great but just a very minor recommendation for improvement: the 'pin' function could be improved. I would like to freely drop a pin anywhere on the map. Pinning only works for pre-registered landmarks or addresses.

There are many reasons to rave about this app. After a week in Paris, here's a few features that made this a killer app for my visit to Paris: - Maps are much, much better than Google or Apple's maps. More detailed and more accurate. - Directional orientation when using maps. The blue location dot shows on the map the way the phone is facing. Particularly handy when exiting the Metro to quickly get your bearings - Available off-line. Get it at home before you go. - Shows restaurants as points in the map. One can quickly see where there is a cluster of restaurants, and so head to a particular few streets to browse for a suitable place to eat. Get this app.

Sooooo useful. I am working in Paris at the moment, and I use this app all of the time! The metro map is excellent (including "where is the nearest station") and the gps accuracy on the street map beats my tomtom gps app! Love it

Indispensable. My most used app in Paris. Clear maps, good font size, great zoom detail. Finds my location within metres on iPhone with no SIM card, no roaming fees. Metro map excellent. Could add bus map (paris buses are as good as metro) and make My Pin labels visible.

Best travel app. I love this app! You don't need internet, but even offline there's still a little moving dot to show you where you are - impossible to get lost! You can also put in all the things you want to see - ie notre dame, Eiffel Tower, louvre, and pin them. Zoom out a little, and you can easily decide what's suitable to see each day, based on what's close. Conveniently plan your day with very little drama! Love love love this app. Make them for every city!

Tourist. Fantastic app started trip around Paris with just a map and as I looked around all the lost people were looking at maps I knew there had to be a better way. Have been using Paris 2go now for 3 days and has been faultless. This app saves you so much time because you are not lost also love that anything worth knowing about close by can be accessed quickly and with a wiki reference to read up on as you wait in line

Excellent app. Requires no data download when travelling. You get to see where you are on the map and best of all what direction you are pointing the phone. Great app I will be using it again when I travel again!

Map actually works offline. I thought the functionality was great considering price and fact it is offline. Find nearest metro, gps location and 'near me' functions were all good. Some limits with map search but overall very very handy.

Great App!. This application is terrific. Everywhere I went in Paris I could access detailed information about each place. It sure beats carrying a heavy guide book everywhere you travel. I only wish that I had this app for each city I went to during my travels.

All you need offline in Paris. Great App. I love that I can input all my favorites on the iPad and sync to the iPhone when on my travels. The Metro function is so useful too. Viva La France !!!. Wish I had this when I was in Paris last year. It would have made my trip so much easier and really enhanced my appreciation of all the incredible things I saw with all the history and background info on this most magnificent and regal city. An absolute bargain at $1.19. With the latest update this travel guide is nearly perfect now with the addition of Retina Display support & a badly needed offline metro map !!! Brilliant and cleverly done because all your POI's now come up with the nearest metro station so you know exactly where you're going. All the locations of metro stations are clearly marked on the regular offline map with purple dots and of course you have a GPS locator function to navigate your way around without the need of a 3G or Wi/Fi connection. This is now officially awesome combined with ALL the Wikipedia articles for Paris and becomes an essential purchase & one of the best & cheapest guides for Paris currently available for iPhone :-)

Great travel app. Really good for travelling and just getting around my nearest city(Sydney). I love that you don't need Internet access once the maps are downloaded. I also love the direction arrow.

Visit plus. I have found this app great, on two extended visits to Paris. It works beautifully offline and hitting the metro button is really useful for locating where I am and then zipping around Paris ... A useful planning tool too.

Not for travelling. This is the kind of thing you read in the doctors waiting room or on the bus on the way to work. Not really helpful when travelling. I bought the '2go' guide on the recommendation of another reviewer who said it was better value than the 'eyewitness top 10' guides and that the information was more interesting (eg it provided detailed information on a monument you may be at). Well, yeah, that would be useful (and add to your enjoyment of a place) if it was in little bite-sized travel-friendly bits. This is NOT that, it's not a travel anything. It's just WIKIPEDIA links. When I'm only spending 2 days in a city I don't want to trawl through a wikipedia article. Admittedly, the description of the app does say it derives its info from Wikipedia. I guess I was distracted by the price. Off to buy what I should have in the first place now (or maybe the lonely planet)...

Really useful offline navigator. Has loads of information and makes finding nearby facilities easy. GPS navigation makes getting lost in Paris fun!

Ulmon City Maps (Paris). FANTASTIC!!! Great summarized info, quick access and the best is that you can navigate while offline as well!!! Strongly recommended!!!

Works great. Used it for our trip on my iPhone5 with my cellular switch off so as to not use any data and this app worked great and was very accurate running just on the phones gps. Accurate to within about a foot or two. Would very much recommend it.

Presque parfait. Très bien détaillé

Excellent. I used this app for five weeks in Paris (and France). The more I used it the more I liked it. I was able to record where I was staying and places that I wanted to visit before I left home. The city of Paris had street numbers for every building which made locating places very easy and accurate. I paid for the map of Paris and got oodles of other maps of France (and elsewhere) at no additional cost and which worked together seamlessly. The maps allowed me to mark where the car was parked which was essential in a country that has not a single square block or straight road. If I wanted to find the nearest train or metro station I used the locate button to tell me where I was and could very quickly find the station on the map and figure out which direction to walk. In Reims, a city with incredibly narrow streets, mostly one way streets, a lot of dead end streets and bollards and retracting bollards another app couldn’t calculate the directions on how to drive to the hotel that we had found by walking. By studying the map for a few minutes I figured out the route and got there without mishap or delay. Kudos! Need to find a toilet, check the map. Don’t have a clue where you are in the Louvre, use the locate button. Want to record the entrance way location to something for tomorrow, use the save button. Want to know the distance to some museum, click the star. Need to find a station service (because of a flat tire), enter station service. The only place the app was of limited use was in Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, but I would still be lost in that cemetery if I hadn’t had this app. And do be aware that when the black line shows up between the exit and the roadway on the map it is too late to exit. This app is now essential and primary on all my travels.

Amazing. This app was the greatest find during our Paris trip. The offline map works perfectly and took us wherever we needed, whenever we needed! Also, the brief explanation about the places was pretty amazing so we could have an idea of the history of what we were seeing! Recomend 100%!

Absolutely mandatory for Paris. This app was extremely helpful in navigating the city of Paris on foot, by bus and especially the metro. Using the cellphone location I was doing able to do this without a dataplan offline. Had sometimes to walk when I popped out of the subway and had no clue which direction I was going. I ended getting rid of the paper map on my second day. Would be great if the metro stations were clearer and the physical map highlighted the closest stations. The metro map view does that.

Very good.. Offline map saved the day on many occasions, and allowed me to enjoy the city so much more. Of my 5 Paris apps this was the most used, by far.

Excellent. Easy to use, offline map that shows the tiny streets that the tourist maps ignore. Sometimes a bit slow to zoom out, but no serious complaints. Showing the street addresses makes it easy to find places. C'est magnifique !

Wonderful app for travel. I'm always sceptical of free apps but this one is amazing, it truly allows you to have all the info you need offline. Pick the sights, mark then and then use it to navigate both on foot or using transit without a data plan. Highly recommend!

Made my trip. Was in Paris for 3 days, since I didn't have 3G access while there this app was a must and really made my trip. I just walked around randomly without worry of getting lost, whenever I wanted to find out more about my area there was always great wikipedia descriptions. Could it be better? Of course, but overall VERY useful and I had one of my best touristic experiences thanks to it. P.s subway maps was also very useful, at one station the stop was closed for renovation for 2 months so I lost a bit of time....always try to check official maps at stations to avoid this. Not removing a star for this as it is a temporary change in the stations that is hard to update in app .

Outstanding. Very good app. Did exactly what I wanted, which was mark out the spots I wanted to go and help me get there. There is a real time location indicator, with distance and direction to your next destination, which makes it nearly impossible to get lost. Well integrated with the Paris Metro too. I had this app open all day when travelling in Paris. All functions work offline as promised.

Detailed maps on the go without using data. Used this app on a recent trip. Awesome. Loved having accurate info without using data or wifi. Would buy apps for other cities when I travel. Thanks for a great product!

Great app for saving on data. I have truly enjoyed using this app in Paris. Coming from across the Atlantic to visit but not having much data in my roaming package, this worked great for finding locations of restaurants and attractions. The built-in Metro map was also handy. It takes a couple minutes to coordinate the Metro tags on the regular map with the Metro map but is totally workable. The only improvement I could see would be to link the two maps. Thanks for helping make my stay in Paris easier to navigate.

Wow. Enough said: this is awesome. download 100mb worth of the city and say good bye to the need for any data plan as It'll track you around when offline. Plan a route beforehand, or on the fly! It's your choice! Plus it even has access offline to some Wikipedia articles so that you can get context about stuff you are interested in.

Better than other offline maps. This is really fabulous and works SO much better than the other offline apps. The location based functionality works properly as it should unlike many other offline maps. You get both your GPS location + you get the compass information so you know which way you are pointing. This is fabulous when you come out of a metro/subway in a foreign city like Paris and you don't know which way you are facing compared to a map. All the other offline maps I've tried don't do this properly. Well done. The location based tourist attractions are also great. I would wonder out of a tourist attraction and just look up what else is in the area. Wonderful way to travel. Great price! Request: Now we just need it for even more cities. How about Krakow, Montreal, Brussels and more. Note that you can't search for a precise street address like you can in Google Maps, you can only search for the street name. However this is still much better than the other map apps.

Not good. I loaded it but wuivkly figured that you can create your own routes there and once i added two favorite places i could not even put them together and see the distance. Useless.

Trip to Paris. I have really found this app helpful in planning my trip to Paris. Being able to mark the sites I would like to see with the star, and being able to add a note allows me to put the important information like the hours and days the sites are open or closed. I also like that you can colorcode the stars so you know which ones are your sites and which ones are your restaurants. And you can also Mark where you are staying so that when we get there we will always know how to get back to our hotel. This app also gives you information on different sites, as well as the metro stops and bus lines so you know how to get to where you want to go. Overall I have been very very pleased with this app and I recommend it to anyone who may be traveling to a city where they are unfamiliar.

Absolutely love it. Can't do without it.. If you are going to get a map app for Paris, get this one. I downloaded a few Paris map/direction/tourist apps before arriving for my 2 week stay. It's been 1.5 weeks and I am completely indebted to Ulmon Paris. I use it on my iPad mini and iPhone constantly. Before I go out to know the route, while I'm out to avoid getting lost or to investigate nearby funness, and even as a reference tool while I read books on Paris history. The best features for a girl traveling alone without a data plan in a big city are - it still pinpoints my location on the iPhone without wifi/data, maps and gps are completely accurate, "nearest metro" feature means I'm that never stranded. The other features I like are the route options (which could be more detailed but work fine in a metro friendly city like Paris) and the recommendations and pin features. I hope Ulmon comes to even more cities!

Not as helpful as I'd hoped. The good part about this app was the street map. As advertised, passive GPS allows you to see where you are even with data roaming turned off. The part that I found less impressive was the point of interest descriptions. These were merely Wikipedia articles, which, while undoubtably helpful for learning the history of various monuments, do not provide the traveller with the kinds of things you need to know while actually out and about. What day is the Musee D'Orsay closed? How late can I go up the Tour Eiffel? How much do either of these places cost? In this regard, I found the Time Out Paris app (which I think may have been free) far more useful. So if you were thinking this might be a guide book substitute--which was the impression I got from description and reviews--keep in mind that this is really just a gussied up map app.

Mwah!. Seems crazy but we did not use paper maps at all. Great for walking, great for subways. If bike velib docking stations were included it would be insanely good. Actually, it already is insanely good. We used it on an iphone 3gs in airplane mode, usually without wifi (tho when we did pick up a wifi signal it was great to see us pinned on the map) and also on an ipad 1, again, no internet connection and rarely wifi. So well done!! ------------- When we got back from our trip it was nice to have record of our favorite places, especially those hard to find gems!

best app to use in finding your way around paris. I just returned to the USA from Paris and found this app very useful. First off, the app works with data roaming turned off so there are no cell phone data charges. A Paris street map is contained within the app. I had data roaming turned off and the app was able to locate and identify my position on the map. The position update icon toggles between a North heading and an iPhone compass direction heading (i.e., the direction you are facing). You can use the app's search engine to find POI locations such as museums and enter street addresses. Then you can start walking from your current location to the destination following a position icon on the map, which is updated as your position changes (similar to the iPhone Maps app). The feature I used most frequently was finding Metro stations. Metro stations are highlighted on the map. It was easy to locate the closest Metro station to my current position and find my way there. The app also includes a Paris Metro map with a tab identifying the various train lines. All the Metro information that you would normally find on a paper map where contained within the app. The app is not a navigation app such as Navigon. It does not generate a route to your destination or give you voice directions. However, I found myself clicking on Paris2Go more frequently than Navigon in finding my way (walking and metro) around Paris.

Great app!. This app is easily worthwhile at $5, and so for .99 it is a no-brainer. I downloaded this while we were in Paris. It was incredibly helpful to have a pocket street and metro map, and the additions like the descriptions of various sites were a great bonus. I didn't expect it to give a wide range of restaurant reviews, so I can't comment on that. I did expect it to help me to get to the places I wanted to go, and it did. Someone commented that it's just Wikipedia for Paris. Who cares?! My iphone wasn't reliable for service in Paris, so having some Wikipedia-style information right at my fingertips was great!

Great Metro Mapping. This app, unlike others, even the web pages out their that show the Paris Metro, displayed clearly the mapping of the Metro including stop names and was just plain easy comprehend. The link between the map of the streets by clicking on the "metro stops nearby button" for your pushpin or any item upon which you click. This allowed me to assist my daughter in determining the best lines to use and connect through to get to her destination. Shortcoming was the inability to map between two pushpins. This issue is not a game changer as you can use the google maps for that. However, when in Paris and not having internet connectivity due to the high cost of US phones data plans in Paris, the offline capability of looking at the Metro is enormously helpful.

Can't Travel Without It!. These Ulmon Map Apps are indispensable! I'm "directionally challenged" most of the time, so even when I can pinpoint my location on a paper map, I often end up walking the wrong way down a street. This app's incredibly accurate GPS positioning (with a little "headlight" symbol to tell you where you're facing) is a lifesaver. As a solo traveler, I especially like that I don't have to be seen carrying paper maps around/looking like a pickpocket's *** dream (at worst, I just look like a jerk glued to her cellphone while touring some of the world's most gorgeous cities). The older versions of this app were great, but with the new ones, I appreciate the list/bookmark features and [what I think are] expanded listings of must-see sights, wikipedia entries, etc.

Has worked for me really well. I have been using this app for the last 2 weeks (still in Paris at the moment) and I think its been really useful. In fact I havent used any other map since i have been here. OK its not as good as google maps (but what phone app is?)...also zooming in takes a bit of getting used to. But other than that it has got me where i have needed to go every single time. When you use the search function, you do need to type it in EXACTLY otherwise it wont find it. But that also has helped me 100% of the time. I would definitely recommend it. I have only been using it in the 20 arr i.e. central paris, havent tested it for the suburbs

This was a great help. We had only 3 short days to spend in Paris, with a lot of things we wanted to do and see, and this app helped us to be able to map out our days of what to see and how to get where we wanted to go, and the best way to get there. I gave it 5 stars because it was truly useful and we utilized it quite heavily. My only critique would be the map zoom and the abstract metro maps. Zooming the maps works fine but the POIs i.e. metro stations, etc. don't zoom with the map making them difficult to find even with the map zoomed in. The metro maps are more like squiggly lines and don't match the metro maps in the stations very well and they leave out some of the detail of the metro maps at the stations and in the metro guides so you have to do some interpolation between what you see here and what you see on a metro map.

Solid app with some lackings. I got this jostle for the full scalable offline map, which works quite well. The current version also allows for street searches, a big complaint of older reviews. I also like how you can choose to view all the entries under a particular category on a map. This raises my one complaint however--there is no option to see all the article subjects marked as favorites, from all categories, on a map. Were this an option, and I hope it soon will be, one could create his own customized walks around the city touching on all local POIs with great ease with extensive info on everything along the way.

Would be lost without this. This was one of the best and most useful apps I have ever used. I did not want to carry one of those huge bulky maps in Paris so decided to use the offline map for my trip. This thing was my bible, it shows direction of traffic so you know if your going the right way, has great suggestions for places to see and eat, and has a map of the metro. The offline function still is able to triangulate your location and direction you are facing and walking so it is impossible to get lost with this app. Best part about it is if you set a marker on the map, even without gps you can easily see how you are walking to the set marker. I can only imagine that this app would be even more amazing if I decided to use it online. Really can't imagine it getting better then this app, not one thing I would change about it.

Strong - Never Lost!. Killer idea. Well executed.

Be sure to look UP!. This app perfectly suits BOTH the "wander around and see what we find" and "we need a plan" types (I'm mostly the former.) When I spot something of interest, the app shows me right where I am and helps me learn about what I'm seeing (plus other things nearby.) But when I need a plan ("I'm tired, lets find a nice cafe?" or "I need some cough drops.") its search works like a champ. When its time to get back the the hotel, I look for the pin I dropped on it before leaving that morning! My only advice is to spend most of your time looking up and around and NOT at your phone or tablet--this is PARIS! I also use the other guides (London, Rome, etc.) as well as the City Maps 2 Go from Ulmon and they are all excellent.

Very handy & reliable. This app gives you good advice and peace of mind.

Innkeeper. Got this app before going to Paris for new years. Like having a Parisian at your side. Always know what is around you with the Wikipedia links. The metro map is indispensable. With all the danger of pickpockets you don't have to look like a tourist checking metro maps all the time. For all they know you're just checking e-mail. I used it in conjunction with limited google maps to keep data cost down. The GPS tells you where you are and where you're facing so if you have researched your destination you easily find your way. It's not maps but with some planning and geographic awareness it's well worth it. I'll be getting Rome2go for our trip to Italy this year.

Worth it and very useful!. Used it during a trip to Europe and had to write some lines about this wonderfully useful App. Its a great portable resource with history, maps and some pictures. Very intuitive. Really helped to put everything in context. Good planning tool. Wish they had it for other cities we visited as well. Especially the Metro turned out to be really handy. Used the map all the time and also found the basic info useful to learn about some of the sites we ran across. Sure it does not contain Restaurant recommendations but I usually use other places to find cool places. Don't even remember when a City Guide pointed me to a good Restaurant last time ... Overall a great App that is well worth the tiny investment!!!

Phenomenal app - saved hundreds on cell data. I wrote this review for London2Go, but the exact same comments apply - International data roaming can get exhorbitantly expensive. Thankfully, this app provides an offline cache of the city's street map that saved me a ton of money over using Google Maps over a cellular data connection. The ability to find the closest Metro station to a point of interest was also handy. The database of POIs is a nice addition, but I wish the information wasn't simply a dump of Wikipedia and included simple items like hours of operation or contact information, where relevant. Minor complaints: I wish GPS could be turned off as to not burn through battery so quickly, and the direction indicator can get a bit wonky at times (despite the official compass app showing a stable direction). The interface as a whole isn't the cleanest, but it gets the job done.

A life saver. Usually don't rate apps but after a trip to Europe using this offline maps, I can asure you, this app will make your trip easier and you won't miss any important spot in the city. I used London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Venice, Rome, Florence, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon! In Budapest I felt lost because they don't have a map for this city but Google also doesn't have a map for Budapest offline. I'll put 6 stars but I can't so 5 it's the closest. One more thing, all this is for FREE! And this is not all, also you can download the information about the historic places in the city and then you can get the info offline. You have to try it!!

Amazing app! Get it now. I installed this app both on my phone and iPad and once registered they worked seamlessly together. It did everything I needed to do when connected to the wifi in helping plan our trip to Paris and then worked well offline (especially after downloading the wiki package) with the map that has GPS to show where you are and subway system which can show you in distance what station is nearby. I even color coded my sights to show what we have seen and what we hadn't yet for a really awesome visual of what had been accomplished by the end. Restaurants, ATM and anything critical this was my one stop shop! Thanks again.
