Nice, but could be better. It seems to be a useful map app, but some points of interest aren't listed, even well known ones like Sanrio Puroland. I'd figure with a map app specifically for Tokyo, it would have all shops, restaurants, and POI. My Google Maps app shows more places than this one. It'd be a 5-star app if all places had info on it.

lifesaver app for tokyo. I really love this app. navigate the crazy streets of tokyo without turning on data roaming. I travel to tokyo at least once. year and this last trip with this ulmon tokyo app made everything so much easier and better.

Meh. Not enough street name details.. Zoom into the street level of places like Tokyo, and the names of the streets and blocks are all blank except for the main, larger roads and highways. Pretty worthless if you ask me.

Really useful without network. The beat way to plan your trip. You can mark your spots and plan ahead, then you can rely on the app without internet

GPS. Great app! The gps works with out and cell phone service so that you can find what you need with out having to get an expensive overseas phone plan. Plus it has a list of all of the mister donuts.

Best traveling app. Everything you need to plan a trip to tokyo

Actually pretty good. I've never been to Tokyo before, and I found this quite useful. There is no navigation, but the maps are quite accurate, and it's easy to plot out your course using the phone's GPS. You can locate and save locations to an easily accessible list, and make multiple lists. Free wifi is VERY limited in Tokyo (Starbucks is your friend!) so this was essential. One caveat, using it to navigate for prolonged periods is obviously a rapid power drain. My strategy has been to use this app, google maps when I have wifi, and a good paper map to reduce power consumption. Add street names, and I'll add a star.

Best free. So far the best free offline Tokyo map.

Always great. Can't travel without it.. I have used these apps in Europe and Japan and I can't recommend them enough, especially for Japan where you can get lost 10 times a day. Never again!

Goooooood. Very useful

Could be much better. This app dinged me with review requests at several critical moments while I was trying to find my way around Tokyo. So I felt compelled to write a review about how underwhelming it was. I needed a good offline map with street names, but this is really only good when you know the places you want to go. The UI was a little clunky and I would have appreciated the ability to see all my pins on the map.

The Best!. Quite simply, this is an awesome app. It got me all around Tokyo with ease, unhooked from the Net yet always knowing my location and direction. Thank you!

Great for planning and tracking daily events.. We used this every day during our 5 days in Tokyo to plan the major sights and track our progress. The offline feature is key for foreign visitors.

Not for Tokyo?. All the guides are for small towns in the US like in Alabama?! What is with this?

Great app. These guides are very helpful and the maps are easy to use and up to date.

Keeps crashing. This app is very unstable and keeps crashing on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7. Very frustrating. Unless fixed there is no reason to bother installing it.

Ulmon maps make it too easy!. I've used Ulmon maps many times for multiple cities in multiple countries, and I can't say just how much they've helped me to get right to where I was going. You almost miss the adventure of getting lost!

The Tokyo Map. Great app, I can sync the spots I want to visit in Tokyo to my iPad and back to my iPhone. This is the app to use in Tokyo I think.

Ulmon map is fantastic!. Saves me multiple times from getting lost. It'll be even better if you guys would create maps for more cities, because I'm moving to only using Ulmon for navigation purposes but it doesn't have all the cities. Keep up the good work!

Great travel planner. Good app to help plan what to do. Good if you could put in how many days you are there for and then what type of sightseeing you are into and the app to plan out an itinerary for you.

Augmented Tokyo. Offline GPS maps, with all your services turned off and useful points of information. I squeezed 2 weeks of holiday activity into 5 days just through the ease of constantly knowing my way. Will always use this from now on. I am forever grateful.

SO HELPFUL!!. Best app I had in Tokyo!! Had no Internet access but this app uses your phone's GPS to tell you where you are. Helped us find so many places! Highly recommend! Wish they had the app for Kyoto and Osaka! We struggled without it there!

Ulmon Tokyo. This app worked seamlessly with our tour group's travels in Japan and Tokyo. Excellent street detail. Would like a metro map as an add-on or overlay.

Download before heading to Japan. This app has all the info you need. Be sure to start reading well before you arrive in Japan. Some very good tips and advice.

Listings don't have addresses. If all you have is a map point, you can't tell a taxi driver what address to head for. No recorded address makes this app and entire family of apps completely useless, I'm sorry to say.

So far so good for trip planning. Trip planning at the moment. But it's loading well and fast with wifi turned off. Seems to work well and the pins, etc. allows me to go back to places I pinned quickly. Syncing with iPhone works perfectly at the moment. One thing to perhaps improve on is that some popular places are not on the map, eg. Oedo onsen monogatari, etc, it would be nice to add a search function for topics: like nearby sushi. Etc.. Thanks and great product!

Good reference guide. Solid off-line map resource that provided layers of historic data and general points of interest to Tokyo visitors. With this we felt that the city, though vast was manageable to tour and see key parts.

World roamer. Works better than it was designed for. Ill use it again on my next trip to tokyo.
