HEY APPLE...When will Version 1.1 be approved and released????? Come on already!. I purchased this, tried it out and thought it was a great improvement over the terrible original camera application that came with the 3G. The original phone application is the one item I thought Apple should really have been ashamed of after putting so many other great features into this phone. The very next day after I bought this Camera Zoom, the Version 3 OS was realeased and it promptly disabled the Camera Zoom app! All of my other applications have had their updates published within a week, so why is this application's update for Verison 1.1 still not published??? This is a great app., but I'm really frustrated with Apple for not relasing this update! What's going on already?!@#!

Take action now. It is Apple's responsibity to ensure that applications offered in it's store meet minimum requirements. Applications at least need to work with the current operating system. It is the developers responsibility to ensure an applicaton is compatible. At the very least the consumer needs to be clearly informed of the current status. In this case Apple has not conformed nor has the developer. Both parties are clearly profiting from a defective product. If these parties are immune from legal action then consumers are forced to take an unaccepable risk. I hope those who reads this review will take the appropriate steps to insure that this trend does not continue. I have contacted the FTC and registered a complaint. If all people do is complain but take no action the risk for future ripoffs is ensured.

Nice App. Picture quality is good and tap anywhere to take a picture is awesome especially when I'm not looking at the screen to take a picture. It takes the same amount of time to load as the built in camera about 1.5 secs from when the app is launched until a picture can be taken on the Iphone 3g. My only complaint and reason it didn't get 5 stars is when viewing pictures with this app I can't scroll through the pictures, they do not orientate when the phone is turned and they take significantly longer to load then the camera roll. One more minor complaint is the zoom bar doesn't orientate either example if I place it on the bottom and turn the phone 90 degrees the zoom bar is on the left or right of the screen. All in all I recommend this app.

Worked fine for me. When I looked through the reviews, most of the negative reviews seem to be pretty old. It seems sort of silly to complain about fuzziness when you are talking about digital zoom at 50x with an iPhone lens. You are not going to get the same quality with your iPhone zoomed with this app as you would with a top drawer zoom lens on an SLR camera. For point and shoot type pictures and just to get a little closer on portrait shots. It works just fine.

Rediculous.. Ahh months of staying top 25. Apple allows it. You got in before 3.0 update. Conviently Apple is rejecting camera applications so this app will never see an update. So therefore it will continue to steal others money. Apple approves comments but do you actually read them? No. Apple was a highly respected company by myself and many others. I don't think now is the time to get rid of your customers in an economy like this because of something so easily fixed. You're allowing this application to exist knowing it does not work? It's FRAUD. DECEPTIVE advertising. No where in this ad does it say DOES NOT work with 3.0! That is enough for a lawsuit right there. Apple and KendiTech have got RICH off of this. Im sure KendiTech is laughing right now in the bahamas. Well let me ask you something, SCAMMERS...Could you afford 20,000 lawsuits? Get this fixed, or refunded. Or you will see how painful 20,000 lawyers are.

Room for improvement. A little grainy but it really gets you up close & personal ! Worth $2 !!

Shut up.. Everyone shut up I have an iPhone 3g and this app works great! There are no bugs and it does an exelent job of improving the quality of the pictures once they save into you library. I was very hesitant when making this purchace...because of all the bad reveiws...and before this app I had just gone into the picture and zoomed in and then took a screenshot. But that is horrid quality but this is much better and when you take the picture on the app the quality when be bad but once you veiw the picture in your photos it gives it exeptional quality. This app does require a bit of a steady hand but I have a fine time taking and saving pictures. Sorry for the long reveiw...

Crashes when on 4K. I just downloaded this for my daughter football game. I switch it to 4K and it crashes when I try to zoom in.

It's a phone. Not a digital camera. You people keep giving this app one star because "the picture quality isn't good". Well in case you people didn't know, it's an iPhone. Not an iDigitalCamera. This app works fine for me and hasn't crashed, lost the zoom bar, or lost the camera button, and the icon is fine. Of course the pictures come out pixelly because once again, its not a digital camera, and they only do that if you zoom in as far as it goes, which in most cases isn't needed. I use this app sometimes more than the factory Camera app because in my opinion it's so much better. So there you have it. :) Edit: Version 1.1 is SO much nicer! :)

Does Exactly What It Says. This app is great. It does what it says and does it fast. As advertised, it is a DIGITAL zoom for the iPhone. You cannot expect a lot from any digital zoom. (nor the 2MP iPhone camera for that matter) Yes, it is the same results as crop and enlarge, however this app does it instantly and in real time so you can adjust your composition as you shoot. If that isn't worth a measly .99 cents, what is? Just remember, the saved photo in your Photo Library is a much better quality than you see on your camera shutter screen. I like the app because it is fast and in real time. Thanks to the developer, keep the good ideas coming!

Camera Zoom. No better than the free apps that do the same thing. Total waste of money. App spends more time trying to focus than anything else. Garbage

Glad I waited until the update. I read a lot of reviews before I bought this that said the pictures were blurry. It seems as though there has been an update that fixed the problem since the pictures I have taken are not blurry and similar to the iphone pictures. The camera zoom works really nicely, gives options for using the whole screen as a shutter and saves it to your existing photo album. It is nice that this camera sincs with the iPhone photo album and doesnt store them in two seperate places. I agree, this is what Apple should have installed to begin with.

Sadly disappointed and would like my money back because. I have written their support many times and no response, I have iphone 3GS with the updated IOS4.0.2 and when i take pics with this app and connect to Iphoto the screenshot is blank with dashes around it, i did some research and others have this problem and Applecare support has many different attempts at solution but nothing works. Girillacam is free but has the same issue, now the regular Iphone camera and Jotnot do not have this issue as of today. I can click on download the photos and they show up in the screen in Iphoto but why not with this app? Also when i click on video in this app it has a popup that to get video to work with zoom i need to pay another 99 cents and I would if they would answer my questions and why don't they acknowledge this problem and that it costs more to use video zoom on this app? I really wish they would fix this issue or at least acknowledge this and if others have this issue they should write it as well. the latest problem is in video zoom it keeps asking me to buy it again when i already bought it, i write them over and over and over, they sell allot but get away with no support and iTunes app store does not do anything to help me. i wish people would not buy this product or any products from this company.

LITERALLY DO NOT BUY THIS!. I bought it to zoom with the front camera for videos and I PAYED $2 FOR ZOOMING WITH VIDEO AND IT DOESNT TAKE VIDEOS IT JUST TAKES PICTURES WEN YOU HIT THE VIDEO BUTTON BECAUSE IT STOPS RECORDING EVERY TIME IT RE-FOCUSES WHICH IS EVERY 2 SECONDS. AN ACTUAL RIPOFF!!

Finally a digital zoom. For those who don't know the difference between an optical zoom and digital zoom: an optical zoom involves moving parts in the lens and is very rare on cell phones in general due to fragil parts, etc. A digital zoom is software based and works AFTER the picture is actually taken. If you have a digital camera use the built in digital zoom which usually kicks in after the optical zoom is maxed. You'll see that the screen is blurry until you actually take the picture. This is the nature of a digital zoom. The plus side to this is there's no moving parts, thus making it more durable, etc. This app is an excellent example of a feature that Apple could have included in the iPhone software from day one along with the simple text I provided above. Good job to the developers for finally allowing iPhone photographers to zoom in!

Great app and 3GS does NOT have zoom built in. First off, I NEVER review apps, so this is a first for me. I downloaded this just before I started in the dev program and only got to use it once before I upgraded to 3.0 for testing. A couple months later and it's up and running again. Great quality and well worth the price. Now, to the person claiming Apple waited on approving this update because they wanted to sell more 3GS phones due to it having a built in zoom on the camera....WRONG. It has auto focus, tap-to-focus, and auto light adjustment but there is no zoom on the 3GS camera. Please don't bash when you don't know the facts. Obviously this guy doesn't own a 3GS or he would know. Thank you. Keep supporting these guys and they will keep cranking out the updates and making this product better and better with all the suggestions they are getting. My suggestions: 1) Delete from within the app 2) Landscape mode please. 3) Ability to assign a button to snap photo instead of tapping screen. (This would really come in handy sometimes if it's possible.) 4) Take advantage of the 3GS features. (Maybe by making a version specifically for it?) 5) Continue working on improving overall photo quality. It's great now, but could be better IMHO. Keep up the good work guys!

Great photo app. glad the updat for this thing finally came out. I think it does do a better job than the previous version did. I'm stil using the 3G phone and the pictures come out looking a lot cleaner and less blurry than they used to. most people NEED TO KEEP IN MIND that this thing has 2 MP camera so it won't get great pictures to begin with. that and this app does digital zoom so don't expect fantastic results. what you will need to keep in mind when using this app is the shooting environment. stick to well lit areas and larger objects when using max zoom. anything in dark settings or small objects will usually come out pretty bad. Overall, great update and hope there's more to come.

Good for version 1.0. This is a handy piece of software which, as other reviewers note, has been a long time coming. Its zoom function works well, and the resulting pictures are acceptable. The zoomed pictures are grainy, especially in low light situations. This is to be expected because you have to remember that this is a digital zoom, not a true optical zoom. Given that, the quality of the pictures is remarkably good. The real problem I experienced was with occasional lock-ups requiring a reboot. My guess is these are memory related because I couldn't consistently replicate the problem. The crashes were frequent enough that I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars. The only deficiency of this app is that it could use a stabilization function like what is found in Night Camera. I hope that future releases address these issues, and I look forward to other improvements the developer creates. Overall, this is a decent first version.

Great job guys. I just downloaded the latest update and really like it. Using the volume button is the most useful I've seen. Just hand your iPhone to someone who has never used one, and have them take a picture of you and your girl... It turns some really nice people into absolute idiots. I am using the 3g, and I know that the current lens is a handicap, but there has to be a way to use new software to use this camera to it's fullest. My previous blackberry had a 2.0 camera, and on a overall, took much better pictures than the iPhone (thanks Apple). Just like a previous rating had stated, knock our socks off with superior software to make the best of this cam, and I'll gladly pay $5 for it! P.S. A new icon would be cool also... Great job so far!

No 3.0 support. The app won't open on 3.0 but I won't rate it down just for that like the idiots below me said. Although it is most likely the devolpers fault for no 3.0 support I won't rate it down as it is a TECHNICAL fix, not a CODING bug. This will be addressed soon in the next update but until then the app will NOT open no matter what you do until the said update. I am choosing not to one star this just because it won't open because the devolper took his time and effort to make this a good quality app. He didn't intend it to crash EVERY time you open it, he just hasent updated it to 3.0 standards. Don't blame the dev for it as it wasn't intended, just wait for an update.

What is wrong with you people. Why are you people writing in and complaining about a great App. If you had read the description before purchasing you have seen that the update has been submitted to Apple so that it will work with 3GS. If you had read the reviews dated prior to the release of the 3GS you would have read rave reviews. All you are doing with your ranting is poisoning the minds of potential purchasers about something that is beyond the developers control. When Apple approves, it will work (I assume) better with the 3GS than the 3G because of the better camera. Those of you who already purchased, wait and it will work. Those of you who have not, wait and check back periodically as I am sure the developer will post in the description that it is an updated version that will work with the 3GS. This is the first time I have reviewed an App but I felt I had to because of all of you either lazy or stupid purchased who didn't take the time to read what you were buying and then wrote damaging reviews that you had no business writing.

WOW! BEST SO FAR!. I must say this is THE APPLICATION I was looking for! Sure, the quality isn't great but it's good and I'm sure they will get there someday. But it actually does what it say it does :) Works like the built-in camera app, but finally gives you opportunity to: 1) zoom in as you're taking the picture (and not later as do all the others), 2) tap anywhere to take it (needs to be turned on in settings first), 3) zoom in and out by pinching... and it improves the quality a bit before it saves the pic. It's really great and it's DEFINITELY WORTH less than a buck... That's like nothing compared to its potential. When the quality gets improved, and I'm sure it will eventually, it will be worth a lot more so get it while you can :D

The Facts. This app has it's good and bad sides. If you are realistic and understand what benefits it will have you will see this is a really handy app. I for one am impessed based upon the price and the purpose it serves for me. Remember this is only the initial release. Also consider this, usually the better the initial release if an app is the higher the price. Common sense tells me as time passes, and updates are realeased this app will improve a great deal and in turn the price of it will climb. My thoughts were invest a little now, Gain a lot for Free later, and I ended up more impressed than I expected I would for the money I invested. Keep up the great work...Can't wait to see what other great ideas you have for improving the quality of the Iphone's features through inovative development. VT-Renegade

Not Bad. This App is not bad at all. I actually really like it. However, i only gave it 3 stars for a few reason. First, the real time pictures are very annoying. When you take the picture things clear up in the final version and it looks much better but you can never really tell when the screen just looks blurry because of the zoom or is actually blury. Also with such a low calibar camera the more you zoom the worse the picture is. Otherwise the app does its job to the best of its ability. I wish though you could merge this app with the camera already on the phone. That way you don't have two icons that take you to the same place. If you could just click the normal camera and the app's interface would directly be linked to it that would be awesome

Great simple app!. This is a really good essential application for the iphone. I am not sure why the folks at Apple did not think that anyone would every want to zoom in on a subject to photograph, since they did not include any camera controls for the app they include on the phone. The quality of the photos with this app are very acceptable if you want to take "home" shots, and not pro shots. As with any photography, good lighting is the key to good photos. I have been very happy with the results, even at maximum zoom level, if the light is sufficient. In dark conditions, the more you zoom, the grainier the photo...this is true for any camera, and not related to this app. I have not experienced any issues with this app..no hangs or failures. Occasionally, the app will take a few moments (maybe 4-5 seconds) before it is ready to use after launching, but I suspect this is just due to the iphone working on other background tasks at those times. Overall, you will find this app to be very simple and easy to use, and it provides the functionality that Apple should have included in their native camera control. Well worth the price!

It's ok- good.. BUT. I would tell anyone to get a camera zoom app for their iPhone. But remember there are 2 out there to choose from. Camera Genius and Camera Zoom. Now this one just got an update, increased speed, fixed a landscape bug and picture stabilizer. NOW, this is good, and yes for $.99 .BUT through careful comparisons the pictures are almost identical on both apps(Camera Genius looks a hair better and with WAY more features). NOW for you Camera Zoom- you have to see that you are being showed up by another app. -Change your icon and give us some real features!!! Your picture is good and I would still pay $.99 - but come on, you got competition, show us something good. I have both and will continue to use the better of the 2, and will switch as many times as I need. Show us something good!!!! May the best app get used.

What changed. I have had this app for years. Now to use app I am required to purchase zoom feature. What gives? Used app before and was enjoying. Now deleting.

Surprise Apple didnt think of it sooner-Real deal on software. The app is great hands down. The basic is this if your around 10 to 15 feet away from the target you can get real close with the zoom feature. I took a shot of a speed boat while I was on a speed boat and since your using digital zoom the image does look blury but after I took the shot the software fixed it as if I took it with my digital camera. Anyone who has taken pixs knows the closer you get using digital zoom the image tends to be blurry thats why you would normally need to use a tri-pod for those types of shots but with the zoom in software no tri-pod necessary. Its a great tool to get in those last minute shots when you dont have a real camera and getting closer may not be an option like my current shots of some tigers I took at great adventure great shot from far when compared to other people using their camera phones. Score another for the iphone.

Updating my review..... TODAYS DATE: 7/23 It took almost 2 months for the much anticipated UPDATE. I'm happy to report that it is MUCH BETTER! Again, im looking forward to more updates. UPDATE: TODAY'S DATE: 6/1 Still waiting for this "UPDATE" Developers: you state that a "major" update is on it's way and that you are awaiting Apples approval.... Well it's been weeks and NOTHING!!! POCKET GOD has gone throught 2-3 updates since your claim. We need a response from you soon cause it's a little ridiculous waiting for this update. I will give a 5 star rating when this happens. Right now I'm going to take a star away for every week that goes by.(2/5 instead of 3) You are not helping yourself. Below is my original review a few weeks back: -------------------------------------- Works fine. Got the app only because the developers were promising a "major" update. Good concept.... But... We all should know that digital zoom is pretty much worthless.  I only downloaded this app to give it a fair shot. I took 10 pictures, 5 with this app and 5 with the standard camera app. Identical pictures with identical lighting and stability. All 5 pictures taken with this app turned out significantly worse than with the standard camera app with no zooming in any picture. Something is wrong here. If no zoom is simply using the camera API then the images should have been very close or identical in quality. Obviously the zoomed images I took later turned out horrible but I did manage to turn them into decent pics with a post filtering app  lol If you want zoom... simply take a normal picture in good lighting and then crop the image after you download it to your computer. Or use a real camera instead. 

This app shows how poor the iPhone camera is. Lots of apps play to the iPhone strengths but this one does not. I was hoping this app would actually improve upon the iPhone camera, it does not. It does reinforce that Apple needs to put a better lens in the camera. This app maginifies the picture but does nothing to increase the pixel count (within the picture it takes). Thus pictures are blurry or pixeled to the point of being worthy only in limited ways. I put most blame the poor iPhone camera, KendiTech gets some for for misleading information, and some to myslef who should have known better based on pictures I had taken before getting Camera Zoom. Frankly it is worth 99 cents, if you have some money to burn, but anything more is a waste given its utility.

Disaster avoided.... My original review: I now have three days of holiday video held captive on my iPhone 4. Neither iPhoto nor Image Capture will download it. My suggestion, if you buy this app, is to test the download before you fill your iPhone with irreplaceable memories. My revised review: KendiTech did in fact respond to my email inquiry (unlike the reviewer's lament above) and supplied the information to get the videos into my computer. Click the "album" button, select the clip, then click the "send arrow" to camera roll. While successful, the process is awkward and time consuming. It took well over an hour to transfer 157 clips. Most of the time was spent getting back to the "next" clip and making sure it was in fact the next one. I ended up missing one clip and copying four of them twice. Now that I know the process, I'll be sure to transfer as I go. By the way, one can delete the videos by clicking on "edit" and then "delete" for each individual clip. As with deleting email in iPhone, there is no "delete all."

Now my photos won't sync/import with iPhoto. update: After installing this app and taking some pictures I connected my iPhone to my macbook (which normally autostarts iTunes and iPhoto). After opening up iPhoto I don't see my thumbnail previews and cannot select to import either. Tried re-booting both devices and nada. This only started happening the same day I installed this croppying/zoom application. Anyone else experiencing this BS? This app does exactly as promised. It allows you to zoom and take pictures and since there is no alternative it's a no brainer if you really want to zoom this is the app to get. But the image quality doesn't turn out the greatest. I've read some of the reviews...If the iPhone's camera lens doesn't support zoom then why make an app? Someone defended the developers for taking so long to update the app... Keep in mind if it weren't for the buyers developers wouldn't earn anything. If it was a free app I wouldn't complain but $1 times thousands of people equals up. Either way it does zoom but with a 3.0 cam I wish apple wouldve made this an option on the native camera app... I guess that would make too much sense kinda like AT&T not ready for MMS?

Worth Buying but don't expect a miracle!. Zoom is a very missed feature on the built in camera, works well in BRIGHT light, does not work well in low light, for example a rock concert even with floodlights. I just used it at a concert this past weekend hoping to get something since one of the bands had a last minute, "We don't want any camera's fit" I thought that maybe the floodlights would give me a chance for a few shots for the old memory book, but it turned out impossible to get the spotlighted person in focus and if they moved, nothing but a blur. Without the zoom under the spotlights all singers looked like they we just beaming in or out, so it's the 3GS camera too. It's worth having at the price for those daylight shots where you want to frame a person face etc, but don't expect a miracle.

Zooms to Blurry Image. Very sorry I spent even 99 cents on this. Oh yes, it zooms out, all right, but the image is just larger and blurred. There isn’t any clarity. Not worth it.

Love this Camera! Great, sharp results!!. Never have reviewed an app before even though I own some awesome ones. I just don't take the time. But this app deserves some time. All my camera apps quit working with the 3.0 OS update and Apple has taken it's precious time authorizing the app updates. FINALLY! These folks got this update nailed down the first time. It's fast and the quality is amazing. I use it as my regular camera app regardless of the zoom option just for the quality. You need to go into settings and set the lower resolution setting to off. It is not really slower and quality is much better! The app adjusts quality AFTER you take the pic so don't worry about how it looks on the view screen prior to taking. No crashes so far. Very happy to have this working again. Just a tip, reboot phone just prior to and just after downloading app, prior to launching for first time. This always seems to help

Great update....Great price...worth 4.99. Took a long time to update to work with 3.0. Deff worth 0.99. You need this app on your front pg of apps next to the camera. Doesn't let you use for video. Digital zoom works great. Pic looks fuzzy when you zoom in but after you take the pic it auto focus to give you a pretty crisp for a digital zoom. They also fixed alot of the bugs when viewing pics. Works great a deff must have app. If you are cheap like most of us and you have never paid for an app thus is deff worth the first purchase and this app will most likely increase in price soon and it should bc it's the only zoom app that works this good and is needed with the iPhone. Just buy it!!!!!!

Where’s the touch anywhere feature?. No where is the answer. Bummed

Does what it claims, but there's a better app for zoom.. This app definitely works; however, there's an app that does the same thing, but has a handful of other features all for the same price. That app is CameraGenius. It allows you to zoom, has an anti-shake feature (puts end to blurry photos), has a "big button" to take photo of self a lot mote easily, allows you to take the picture by making a sound (like "cheese!"), has a self-timer, has a photo guide on how to take good iPhone pictures, and also has a grid on the screen that allows you to produce professional-looking photos based on their photo guide. All of these different features can be used individually (you have the ability to turn them on or off), or all at the same time. Now, with all of the extra features CameraGenius has, why wouldn't you get it when it's the same price! $0.99!

pictures are blurry. Didn’t like the way the pictures came out. Very blurry when I used the maximum zoom.

No better zoom than regular iPhone X camera. I bought this thinking it would have much better zoom capabilities then the regular camera that comes loaded onto an iPhone X. It does not zoom in any closer and in fact has worse clarity and focus.

:(. I guess I should have read the reviews before purchasing this app. I was really excited about the purchase until I tried to launch the app and it failed several times. I was extremly frustrated wondering if it was my brand new 3g S. But that would mean my phone had a glitch. No way. Hopefuly the app will work again after the update. And to the writer tellin us to take a chill pill. No mater the dollar amount when u pay fir something u expect to get wat u pay for. If u find the reviews amusing why dont u make better use of ur time by helping figure out how we can get what we pay for WHEN WE PAY FOR IT. And if u are the developer just rember that it is us idiots that are making it possible for u to put food in your mouth. Camera Zoom needs update. Worked well prior to updating to Version 3. It would be great if it were rectified. However, you can use pre installed iphone camera, take picture, and enlarge. Just as good, still prefer to zoom though.

Don't bother with this one. It does zoom in and out as it says it will but the quality is v.bad. Not only that but it wouldn't even allow me to save my picture that I took. It didn't work fit me at all. I also wonder why a camera program would need to use your current location. My advice is to steer clear of this app.

Just says "LOADING" - won't work. I used this app quite happily and have been patiently waiting for the update. I have installed the new version but it just says LOADING and then returns me to the home screen. I see others are having the same problem. Any ideas?

Was good, now just annoying.... Liked the app until I updated to 3.0. If you're going to charge for an app, at least have the decency to ensure it works with the latest updates. Not like 3.0 was not known about!! Please get this fixed!!

Love it :). Worth having :) zoom is obviously not going to clear the more u zoom obviously be bit grainy :) Could use an update And for the people that want this app to be like a Dslr camera o whatever just shut up We all know that the iPhones camera is limited :) So shut up :) I like this app :) Update will be good :)

Doesn't Work. I purchased this app a month or 2 ago, and it didnt seem to work and though that this was due to me running the 3.0 betas but, now with proper 3.0 it still doesnt work, it just crashes straight away, and its now been quite a while with no update fixing this, so i strongly sugests if ur thinking about buying this dont

It isn't working on my IPHONE 3GS (32 gb). I downloaded this app a few days back but for some reason wen i click on it, it asks me to about my location and then just disappears. How do I change it? It wont let me do anything and just get to the main page of the phone. I have deleted and re downloaded it but doesnt seem to work. Pls help as I think this app would be great for my phone. I re booted my phone too but nothing seems to change ..

Good Zoom In Camera & Video App. This app is great for zooming in further than you can with your normal phone’s camera. As technology improves I’d really love to see an improvement in photo and video resolution/clarity. I’d also like there to be a feature where the camera shutter sound can be turned off in the settings for the app, as this sound can be irritating plus unwanted at times.

Pretty poor resolution... You end up with a video that has pretty poor resolution (320x426 max) and frame rate ~ 10FPS. Camera zoom 2 are using a technique which takes screenshots of the screen over an over again to make the video. Its the same technique used by all the apps that offer video recording on device older then the 3GS.

Does not work now. Used to work but with very poor quality, very grainy results. But now, the damned thing won't even open. Just asks if it can use my current location then dies!! This needs to be fixed ... and fast. AND the picture quality needs to be vastly improved. Currently definitely not worth spending your money on!! What a disappointment.

Great Application. This app is wonderfull that was the one problem I had with the iphone was the camera had no zoom function which thanks to the people who created this app it now has a Zoom function a really worth while app and it's free which I'd even better

Sheer brilliance. You MUST have this app if you want to take a better photo. I can't believe apple didn't include a zoom option as standard. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the photos you take with this zoom. Full 5 stars for this app.

OK I suppose..... Does what it says but being a digital zoom it's not really that useful. As others have mentioned, cropping a full resolution photo will achieve the same result. May be useful if you want to send a photo from the phone though.

Camera Zoom Review. This app has now taken over as my default camera app, why?, 1- It works the same as the default camera app. 2- it has real time zoom function (Badly missing on default camera) Now the review - As stated the picture when zoomed in is not the clearest in both preview mode and saved mode BUT, if you also have the HDR app then you can get some very clean sharp images . Zoom in, take photo. save, then open up HDR app choose photo taken with Zoom app and clean up the image and there you have it, A very presentable picture. Also just having the freedom of zoom in real time makes this a bargain app and therefore worth 5 stars. Sure the pictures are not the best....yet, but with future updates this can only get better, AND, as yet there isnt another zoom app on the app store. This is a very unique app.

Camera Zoom finally comes of age as Camera Zoom 2.. v2.0 review: It is finally worthy of downloading! You can see my original v1.1 review below, but now you can take shot after shot in any orientation and even use the volume keys for the shutter - much better than causing the camera to go out of focus because you had to touch the screen to take a shot previously (even though this feature is still there as an option if you want that). I had the image stabiliser feature turned on (with normal full picture quality ON of course!), and while it did take a little while to take a shot of something at full zoom (a picture on a nearby desk) - the quality of the photo in the picture was not blurry, considering. If you have been thinking about this App, I'd say now is the time to download and enjoy it! 4 stars this time! Original v1.1 review: On my iPhone 3GS the pictures are really bad and grainy with zoom at any level - even setting the pictures in options to be at 320x480. Picture is only taken about 1 second AFTER you press the camera button and you hear the click. Phone has to be absolutely still to reduce any sort of blur. For reasonable quality pictures, don't use any zoom at all.

Camera zoom. Great app zooms awsm but pleeeease change the icon back to just the blue dot and have it just saying camera under it coz it looks so much better when it's on the first home screen with apple's nice smooth icons.

Software update needed for 3.0. This app was awesome on 2.0, since 3.0 firmware was released it no longer works. Dear programer, Please provide us with a software update to be compatible with the current firmware of the iPhone or refund everyone who bought it and edit your listing to mention that this app is not compatible with 3.0 Cheers.

Works like a charm now.... Replaced my iPhone Camera app... This is digital zoom, stop complaining about it. Digital zooming never results in great photo quality people...live with it. Some say just get an app to crop pictures...fair enough but I had $1 to splash on an app which would save me from the hassle of using two apps in order to get my picture zoomed. Tap anywhere to shoot and slide anywhere to zoom are two great functions too. Thank you KendiTech for this app...

Sensational, but. Ok, iPhone 3GS has video. You now have to live up the standards and introduce video to iPhone and 3G. I would also like to see camerazoom combine with the original camera. It is a waste of space having two camera apps. Otherwise it's excellent!

Doesn't work. I have never gotten this application to work, it won't open when I click on it. I have done all the upgrades when recommended and still it rufuses to work.

Beware, crashes iPhone frequently. Great idea, but in need of updates. I took four photos and it crashed my phone three times.

Works OK. This is an OK replacement for the built-in phone app, allowing digital zoom. Best not to use full zoom or the picture quality degrades and you get a lot of noise. Best to clean up pictures with an editor. But works well for framing shots. sometimes the zoom bar sticks, hopefully it will be improved.

Great idea for an app but...... I'm sure it will be much better when apple approves the new version. Give them the hurry along or your just going to get more bad reviews. Not many people have read the info board. If they did they would realise that a new version has been submitted and is in apples hands now

camera zoom - i wish. I downloaded this app really looking forward to using it and maybe even turning it into my default cam, but it doesn't work. I open the app and nothing happens then it turns itself of and returns me to my app menu. If it worked I would have given a better review but as it is I am down $1 whatever it cost to by the thing.

Not bad. Has most of the functions and features that I'm looking for. However, it could differentiate itself from so many other similar camera software by doing much more. For example, it should have different types of filters, say to take black and white pictures. It should also have the option to show a 3x3 grid. A software effected "flash" effect would also be good. Others on my mind are auto noise reduction, contrast adjustment, and picture frames. Panaroma view is another If you can't put in more functions and features, then you're going to be just one of the many incomplete camera software floating around.

Problem with Zoom. Just paid for the zoom function... which should be free, disappointingly its not working on my Iphone 3GS.... ive synced and loaded it several times, but no change... please update!!! And for others dont bother with it yet

A bit usless. You get the same result by cropping the image after taking. So you'd be better off taking a full resolution picture with the stock camera app and cropping it later, preserving the original picture. Also the icon now looks ugly, return it to the original!

About time. They just update this about time, I'm still not happy could be more better than this like video and clearly picture. Thanks for fixing this

NOT WORKING!!!. This app crashes everytime I try to load it. Even after loading the latest v1.1 update, it still comes up saying LOADING then just crashes.. Needs some serious work....and I paid money for this app!!

Not to shabby.. This camera is quite good but I don't think I'd use it much, the pictures are poor quality when zoomed in and if your not useing some sort of tripod or something the pictures are blury. Mind you I am useing to 3G's crummy 2.0 megapixel camera so it's not bad.

Great zoom. Works with new update

Not immpreesed. I am not impresses by the quality of the pictures with the new 5 mega pixel app out for the same ..... Choose for yourself but I'm switching.

I regret buying this because.... I have no way to move the videos out of the app - either to email or to move to iTunes. Tried emailing a video to myself to no avail. But I need to send them to others and can’t. The same with some photos. They do not move to My Photo Stream. I’m sorry I used this app.

No. Bad quality. The quality off the photo is worse than going straight to your camera even if you don't zoom at all. 

USES SPYWARE!. According to the internet, this app uses Pinch Media to collect data on you including your iphone unique id. This info can be subpeonaed. I AM REMOVING EVERY APP FROM MY iPHONE THAT SENDS BACK DATA WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! Apple needs to address this issue.

Tinier Cam. Guy if u r using an 3gs then don't buy this app but if u r using an iPhone 3g or 2g then this app works fine. A very nice app. Hope u add as many features as the camera genius app. Over all 5 stars.

Icisz is photomatic in cow town. This app surely has great potential with some reservations on sharpness while focusing (the app corrects and enhances the pic best it can which it seems to achieve well..)- however I am sure that the writers are on the right track here- with many many limitations to endure and overcome - lets remember it is a phone, and one that personifies the meaning of the word BETA at any given time. I waited on my comment for until after the new 1.1 version was updated to work with 3.0 os. With all the people out there crying about their lost dollar (GHAD)...- anyway the app does just what it promises, and maybe a little bit more considering... No doubt it was worth my dollar and two cents. I look forward to any new innovations you guys come up with and am sure this can only get better and better!!! Thank you.

Should Have Listened. I should have listened to earlier reviews. This product is a rip off. It does not work and will not load. Apple should not allow this type of product to be sold. Don't they test these things before their released. Stay away from it.

Don't waste money on this crap!!!. I just bought the video zoom feature for Camera Zoom 2 app. I paid only 1 dollar for it, but I'm very unsatisfied with my purchase. The video zoom feature works. You can take videos, but it doesn't save them in your camera roll. Even when you save your video manually, it doesn't work... you check in your camera roll and it's not there. This new feature needs an update fast. This would be a great feature if it would work properly. I feel like I've been robbed. It makes me angry. Don't waste money on this crap unless it gets updated!

Good luck transferring them. I recently bought this application as was happy with it at first... Until I tried sending my pics too iPhoto or Aperture...they don't save in jpg format.. Not sure if this affects PC users as I am a Mac.. Plzz make pictures compatible with iPhoto.

Camera Zoom v1.1. I have purchased the Camera Zoom v1.1 because of the way it was being advertised with the write up and photos, on what to expect. It wasn't until after I made the purchase that even more information, such as, the photos would be fuzzy was mentioned. I think it's a great idea but if it doesn't work like you say. Perhaps more study and changes should be done if the warnings are not posted prior to purchase. In my line of work this tool would come in very handy and would keep me safe. This is the only reason I bought it in the first place. I hope you will be able to find a solution to the problem such as an updated file to solve the problem so it can be downloaded onto the iPhone. Awesome app!. Great app, the zoom is fantastic! I'm surprised how much basic stuff the iPhone doesn't have compared to other cheap phones. Camera zoom being one of them. You should make the icon a bit more attractive because I replaced the standard camera with this one on the home screen 

No good. Zooms okay but the resolution of the picture is so low you can get quality out if it. Iphone makes better picture. Bit of a ripoff.

Junk - waste of $$ zero stars. This is junk. It simply crops the image so you end up with up with a tiny cropped blurry image. I'm a photographer and you can get the same results by simply cropping an original iPhone image or resizing. As it stands now it's junk. Update -Dec 09 it's still junk, I tried it again and my zoomed image was like a 300x200 fuzzy cropped image and this in broad daylight with a steady hand. Anyone who rates this crap highly obviously works for the developer. No way this can rated above 1 star unless your a schill. Developer has never responded to emails either, what a joke! I'm now using 3.2mp 3GS and this app is still GARBAGE. I just tried the free app called zoom photo and it takes clear zoomed pics, get that instead so what gives? I can't believe people are still paying money for this POS app...Camera Zoom 2 is still a big fat waste of $

Don't blame the makers!. Apple hasn't allowed the app's new 3.0 update to be distributed yet, though hundreds of other apps have, so I would file a complaint directly to Apple regarding the update instead of whining to the developers who don't have the authority to do anything yet.

Terrible!. If this app could take clear pictures it might be worthy of more than a one star rating. But not one single picture has come out clear even with the the updates. How do I get it to work?. Device: iPhone 3GS Downloaded this application via iTunes on my 'puter, then synced Applications with my iPhone. Camera Zoom v1.1 is now on my iPhone but does not open. All I get is a blank screen displaying "Loading" for approximately 20 seconds, then it reverts back to the main screen. I've opened the regular iPhone Camara to see if it's a case of the program attaching itself to the onboard camera, but this program does not appear (or function) there either. What's up?

Don't Buy!. The only thing that made me put 2 stars is that I like using the volume button as a shutter. But apart from that, don't waste your money! GOOD APP. WHINY REVIEWERS. Great app. Love the name on my homescreen CAMERA. I hate apps with stupid or long names, CAMERA just works. We need a rename option in 3.0 for apps that dont use ur logic. Good quality for a 2 mp camera. Wouldnt use but half of the zoom in capabilities. Faster save time then most 3rd party apps, which alot of reviewers must not know. The bad things the zoom bar dissapears after u exit the review photos area but dont care much since i dont take alot of photos anyway and probably the most annoying is the zoom bar interferes with the full screen touch. When i try to zoom i sometimes just take a photo. Could move the bar as close to the edge as possable or make the drag button bigger so u dont miss hitting the small one. Other then that its an awesome app. Add a steady cam ability and ill give u six stars!

How Sad. Camera Zoom (1) was amazing to the point that all my friends got it. Then the app started taking 2-3 mins just to open. Then another update which made the app even worse: pictures are blurry, it takes 1-2mins for the picture to save; so if you took a picture and turned the camera the end picture would be the of ground. The pictures aren't compatible with anything you really want to post them to. Camera Zoom 2: has the nerve to say (in the app) that I have to buy the app again. It takes even long to open, take, and save a picture and they still come out blurry. There are so many better apps then this, don't waste your time.

Zoom? I think not.. This is a scam. You aren't getting a zoom feature, you are getting a crappy app that claims to zoom in, but all it really does is enlarge some pixels so it APPEARS that you are zooming in. That is why the quality is like $h*t. wait until Apple gives a real zoom feature, not a pixel enlarger. I bet Kenditech is laughing all the way to the bank with this one. They probably have thousands of dollars ( or ¥, because that is where this company is based ) from cashing in from this scam. WARNING: ONCE Again, you are NOTgetting a zoom, all you are getting a crappy image enlarger that claims to zoom, but all it really does is enlarge the image!

Hmm. Idk what ppl r talking about blurry pics. It's DIGITAL zoom not OPTIC zoom. Of course it's going to be pixelated a bit. The only two problems I found, are that the touch to focus box doesn't get any smaller the closer you zoom. This would be a nice update. And second, when I take a photo in landscape, it doesn't go into my library in landscape. I always use landscape. One new feature that would be nice for 3GS users is video zoom.

IT ROCKS!. YOWZA! I just got a new iphone and as soon as i got it someone recomended it to me! At first the pictures came out blurry but then i figured out the trick...Everyone thinks the zoomed pics are blurry because right when you press the "take" button most people move it right after and you have to wait a second and then they are not blurry like everyone says so i give this app a 5 STARS!

Update works, but still only a so-so app. The good thing is that the app is only 99 cents. So don't go expecting some high quality thing that you might get if you were paying $3 for it. That being said, I tried the updated version yesterday, and the picture came out kind of fuzzy. Don't know if the developers want to work on that for the next update, but that's the truth. They say only the preview is blurry, but that's not true. It was still fuzzy when I emailed it and after I'd saved it. It does zoom, but you lose a bit of quality. I won't say don't buy it-because I am not going to delete it. I'm just saying since it's only .99 don't expect a lot.

Best camera app!!!!. It has now been 3 weeks since purchase thinking that it would be updated soon. Well I was wrong. Everytime you open the program it crashes. I have not been able to use once. Do not buy!!! This is a waste of time, money, and space!!! -------------------- That was before the latest update. Now that I've updated this app it works great! Pictures come out looking good. Zoom in is a much needed app for the original iPhone.

Fantastic; much better than expected!. Being an amateur photographer, I'm used to decent lenses and good cameras. I'm aware of how digital zoom works vs. optical zoom, so I truly was not expecting much with this app. I thought it might be okay for the quick snaps I occasionally shoot with the iPhone, though, so downloaded it. And have been very pleasantly surprised! It's excellent for what it is and does! I imagine this will be the app I open instead of the regular "camera" app whenever I take a pic now. For those few who are "disappointed", pls keep in mind that this NOT a new lens nor a megapixel upgrade. It's simply digital zoom that is then optimized to improve the quality as best it can with the hardware it has. Highly recommended!! By the way, you will ALWAYS have noise in low light when the ISO is bumped up unless you have a very fast lens -- which the iphone's is not. Nice job dev!!

Why aren't you people reading the description?. What part of "an update has been submitted to deal with the 3.0 problems some of you have reported" do you not understand, people? Wait until the app's update is released to comment on this app. You're complaining about it not working and leaving harsh reviews; is YOUR app any better? Do you have any idea how much work goes into making an app? When an entire operating system changes it's hard to anticipate these problems, but what does that matter to a bunch of angry ADD reviewers looking for the next shiny toy to occupy their time.

Is this a JOKE?. First people need to understand that any zoom app out there are actually enlarging the pixel ratio on the phone setting, that's why you lose clarity In the photos. My complaint is the fact that it works a few times, the you have to delete it, and the reinstall the app for it to work again. I did it 4 times, then it would just kick me out and not work at all. I have since purchased CAMERA GENIUS, and not only does it have more options and functions...but that's only .99 also. And I have yet to find any bugs in so go with the superior app, and deal with the clarity that they all offer. Kudos to the designer of CAMERA GENIUS!!

Results are typical digital zooming. Digital zooming always has a significant loss of clarity when compared to a true zoom lense. It is what it is, and if the picture requires digital zooming or no picture at all, you get the noise. Sharpness is another matter, though. I really wish camera shake could be addressed in this software so that the blurry out of focus could be made better, kind of like Night Camera handles it. The shutter waits until the accelerometer detects minimal motion. It would delay action shots, but digital zooming is not wise for action shots anyway, unless of course it's all you've got to use.

No Landscape?. Portrait zoom works fairly well. Slider bar disappears if you hit icon to go to Camera Roll and then try to return directly from there. Re-appears if you exit app then re-enter. Taking Landscape pic does not result in landscape pic in camera roll. It results in a portrait pic that you cannot get to display with the correct orientation. Other than that, the zoom feature works as well as you would expect which is reasonably well with moderate quality.

"Zoom Enabled" crashes on iPhone 6S Plus. With iOS9, the "Zoom Enabled" interferences started. At first only after using the camera. Update to 9.1 if got worse. With update to 9.2 it crashes the phone at different times and nothing seems to connect to what I was doing. Deleted Camera Zoom 4 and problem stopped for me. I really like the app, except for this problem with iOS9. I'm keeping it off the phone for now. I will check back for notices later.

For all talking bad bout this app. Wait until it gets the update jeez they said it's waiting approval I had the old version an it worked fine now with os 3.0 it doesn't so I'm waiting it's not a hard thing unless your impatient and people until it comes out updated just use the old camera it's not that bad ok so stop bagging on these creators and let them sell there product and allow them to update it ok thank you

Not coded very well. It's a decent app if you take it at face value. However, if you are looking for decent photographs you might set yourself up for dissapointment. I ran this app through a trial run at phipps conservatory botanical garden to see what the app could do and most of the images that appeared to be in center were off center in the final captured image, and extremely pixelated. But it is fun playing with the slider to zoom in and out. It's sort of like the feeling of those card board cut out scenes you can put your head into that gives you the illusion of being something you're really not. It's entertaining for a bit in a strange way. But it wears off very quickly and you feel like a jerk in the end.

What's Up???. I like a lot of the others have not been able to use this app since upgrading to ver. 3.0. So what's up, when are we going to get an update for this??? I like this app and use it exclusively over the standard iPhone camera app. Let's get the lead out here people, don't if the update has to be approved by Apple or maybe the vendor doesn't even have an update ready yet. Don't know, but definitely care, am waiting semi patiently. But not too much longer, I'll find another app that is hopefully similar both in quality and price. Probably won't, but until we get the update we're screwed.

Worst use of $0.99 I've spent here yet!. OK, first of all...to all you who gave this thing one (1) star, and I ignored you before I bought it, I'm sorry! I should have listened to you! To all you who've given this app 2-4 stars, you're expectations are WAY too low! For anyone who's given this thing five (5) stars...you've got to be the developer's mother, because no one but family could show that much mercy! Shame on you! This thing is useless as a zoom, given the crappy picture quality you end up with. When I click the "eye" icon to view my picture roll, then return to the app, the zoom scroll bar disappears, and won't return unless I exit and return to the app. Advice to all -----> go buy a real camera, don't get your expectations up for iPhone, and DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP!!!!!

Overall I like it but.... The biggest thing this needs is the capability to turn the flash off. I got this app with the intent of using it at a concert venue where they only allow no-flash photos, and I won't be able to use it because I can't find a way to turn off the flash. Also, after taking a photo the shutter stays closed, and I have to exit the app and come back in to get the viewfinder back. Overall I think I'll like it, but the flash issue is really something to consider for future updates.

Needs work, if possible.. This ap isn't horrible, but it does mess with the normal resolution of a photograph taken with your iPhone. What it appears to be doing is just magnifying the image that your iPhone would regularly take and cropping to that part you are seeing on the screen. It gives you the part you want, but it's lower res and much more pixelated than a regular iPhone photograph. It might just be best just to take a pic, magnify it, and crop it in iPhoto.

Great Concept. Took comparison shots... Zoomed in on my subject with this app, then took another shot of the same subject with iPhone's built-in camera...same distance, same lighting. Results: blurriness was about the same when the built-in pic was pinch-zoomed in to match, although there seemed to be slightly more detail in the pic taken by this App. Downfall: the pic taken by this app had a dark golden cast, whereas the built-in pic was bright white. If you can somehow color correct the white balance for this app or provide in-app ability for us to do so before saving, it would be pretty awesome!

Fraud & a hoax. I downloaded and installed on my iPhone 3G, but it doesn't work. I then deleted and re-installed still to no avail. This is the first time an app has not worked for me, so I reported the problem and requested a refund. I know its just a $0.99 issue but as they say, its the principle of the thing. Then I read Apple's Sales Terms & Conditions document - all sales are final. That being said, I think I've discovered the next tech crime scheme, and Apple iTunes is the conduit. With over 15K people downloading, that's potentially $15 grand (and growing) in someone's pocket with no way for the consumer to ever see a refund. I'll be much more cautious with my iTunes / App purchases going forward.

THIS IS AWESOME!. The update for this app makes it work great, I'm so glad the update is out now! I was kind of getting worried, but since the newest update release, I use this all the time! Thanks sooo much guys. I'm glad all the stupid complaining by those morons who never read about the compatibility issues before they spent that hard earned whole ninty-nine cents, will cease now. Thanks for a great app guys. I'm going to take close ups of my toenails.

What do you expect??. This app is very good. People think the iPhone is going to take professional photos without the hardware? Stop complaining. Of course it's just going to crop it. It's not possible to make the parts of the camera move in order to actually zoom. Also, the actual picture is the same quality as the regular camera app, just cropped. So don't say it's bad quality. Solid app.

Excellent!! I was really surprised!. So we all want a Zoom for our iPhone. I downloaded this app thinking it was only 99 cents so I wouldn't lose that much if it ended up being crap. Well I was pleasantly surprised when I started using it! It really does zoom!!! The Liveview while your zooming and focusing isn't sharp as a tack but just push that shutter button and whammo...you've got a pretty darn good zoomed photo. You can even turn the entire screen into a big shutter button. Simply touch anywhere on the screen and your snapshot will be captured! Well worth the price for me! I would have paid more..it's worth it having a zoom.

Apple FINALLY delivers the update!. I blame most of the negative reviews for this app on Apple taking it's sweet time in releasing the update. Meanwhile, it did not function at all on the 3.0 software and everyone was whining about it. I too was getting impatient. But did Apple really have to hold the update for well over a month? (or more?) Apple needs to work harder on approving or denying updates to current apps, at least. By the way, it works now perfectly.

Disappointing performance . People complain about graininess and poor quality. They don't understand the limits of this zoom technology. The app can't create data that isn't there. However, a lot of confusion could be alleviated if KendiaTech borrowed a page from camcorder manufacturers and had a gradient from green to yellow to red on the slider so people knew their quality was degrading. I'm giving this app one star for a few reasons: 1) The images aren't always saved to my photo album, making the app useless. 2) The images aren't always framed they way I intended, often very far off from the center of the image I shot. If this camera does what I think it does, it merely crops from the original hires image, but using a low res representation for framing purposes. This process is buggy. It seems to be taking from the corner of the original image instead of from the center where I've zoomed. 3) The app is painfully slow. To make me wait while it either fails to save the image or saves it with the wrong cropping makes the app less than useless.

Missing one main feature. I really like the app! It has replaced the original camera app. but i just realised today, that one big feature that the original app has is missing. the use of Geotags. Since iphoto can read the geo tag and automatically get the position of where the pictures was taken, i wish that they will implement it into the next version of the app. then i'd dare to say that its....almost... perfect. it could also use a little startup speed boost.

Overall good app - good price. Not sure what ppl expect when they purchase this app. This app will not turn the tiny 2.0MP camera on ur iPhone into a DSLR! It will, on the other hand, do a descent job of digitally zooming in and out. The pictures are as good as u can expect with a 2MP camera phone. It's actually better than the photos I took on my HTC Tilt. Sure the app has a glitch or two but find me one that doesn't. The price is great. The alternative is to wait and pray the brilliant ppl at Apple add a better version of zoom to OS3. Until then this user feels that this app is a good investment.

Finally!. Finally they have optical zoom for the iPhone. Now i don't have to use my other camera. I like using this phone for everything and now it utilizes more. However Apple should come out with something that makes this app have a flash like any other smart phones. Also it would be great if they could make a video capture app or another function for this app. If Apple can do that they'd probably make more business and sell more iPhones. They also should make an app so a person can send and recieve video texts. I would like to see the camera upgraded first though! Thanks for reading!

Amazing under the circumstances it faces. Think about it. This is an application that's adding zoom to a 2mp camera that is not capable of zooming! Of course quality is not going to be absolutely amazing, nor is it going to be able to zoom in a ton. So everyone who's complaining about quality and not being able to zoom very far, get a better camera! The app is fantastic at what it does under these circumstances. I highly recommend for those who are willing to sacrifice some quality for some zoom. If held still quality will be even better

Zoomin. This is great. It too you. Long enough Apple to get the 3.0 working and out there your time that it took you to ok this app was to long you should have your ducks in line befor you up grade or come up with something to replace it this is a great App it is a must use the first version and loved it from the start so if there are any other app waiteing for apple approve get a move on it get everything upto date but this is a must app for the apple phone it's a must buy thanks now my phone pic look great and not fuzzy like that crop app pic is no good but this is a true zoom

This is crap!! Do not buy!. I updated the program and now if I want to use the new video feature I have to Pay or it again! Apple better get this figured out quick. This is the only app that is making you pay for the update. This is Crap. Do not buy! Where is the loyality to the customers who paid for the app? Just because they changed the name to camera zoom 2. Be loyal to the customers you have or you will have no more customers. people read reviews, and since the update they are not good. The only good ones have to be from the developer and his friends. Do not trust them until they make the update free for current users like all the other apps.

Could Be Better. I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 5. App finally works and much improved. People that gave bad rating should reconsider their rating. Developer is true to his words. =========================== I think this is the first of its kind. Not sure why Apple won't enhance the iphone's native camera to include a zoom feature. Anyway, this app remedies Apple's shortcoming but I wish picture quality is better. I'm wondering when the update will roll out so it can be used on 3G S. Until then it's just an icon in my homescreen doing nothing. Two stars for now.

AWESOME. Finally my iphone camera can zoom! This app is great! at first when I zoomed the picture looked pretty crappy, but then when I took the picture it focused it and looked great! (or at least as good as it can look for a 2Mb picture!) Well done guys! I look forward to additional updates that will make this awesome app even better! I deleted the darkroom app and moved my native iphone camera app to the back. thanks!

Very disappointed. The in-app purchase to get video zoom was money I should not have spent. The app is buggy, and nothing's being done. Sometimes I get a fat green stripe along the side if the frame in videos, and the video is not full screen width in landscape in any case. No response from developer. I also have a video that I don't want to lose, that's stuck in the app's own camera roll, and all attempts to process and export it to the iPhones camera roll only cause the app to crash. I'd delete this app, but then I'll lose this video that is valuable to me! The developer has not responded to my requests for help, not even to say that there's nothing that can be done. I'm extremely disappointed. Support some other developer who cares more about their user-base.

I support it all the way!!. For all those of you that bought this not realizing what it does: This app uses digital zoom, to zoom onto a particular section of its frame! You don't have moving lenses inside, therefore the zoom will neither do it with clarity, nor will it REALLY zoom in. So long as you know what you are getting, you shouldn't be dissatisfied. Always read the description & know what it means. The fault lies within all of you that misread what it'll do, NOT the app.

800x600?! Really? . The real issue with this app is the fact that all the photos it exports are 800x600 pixels, which seems silly, especially when you're not zooming in very much. In fact I can get a way better 800x600 image by using Photogene to just crop a photo taken with the regular camera, and I can fix the exposure and color in there while I'm at it. Digital Zooming, ie interpolating the pixels you've got to "make" more, is a bit of a gimmick anyway, but honestly, what's the point of you're only going to get a quarter the information out (800x600 vs 1600x1200). Hope they update this to make better use of the sensor and available pixels. Otherwise it's a SERIOUS waste of $1.

Resolution is awful. I like the idea, but there's a problem that people don't seem to be aware of, the resolution. I've taken several comparison pictures and uploaded them to my photobucket account. The iPhone 3G's photo resolution is 768 x 1024. The photos from the app are 320 x 480 pixles. Emailing photos from the phone to someone is even stranger. The standard camera emails photos at 600 x 800. The app cuts it sown to 533 x 800. Why is this so inconsistent? I feel decieved by this app, and it seems like such an easy fix too. Fix it and I will like it more.

Everyone needs to listen up!. Ok. We all know iphone doesnt have a zoom option on the main camera app. All the oter zoom apps are comprimising for that. iPhones camera is a digital camera, not an optical camera. If it was optical, the phone would need to be a whole lot thicker than it is right now and apple wouldn need these kin of apps. But i an effort to keep the iphone thin, they put i a digital camera, thus eliminating optical zooming. These apps zoom digitally, meaning they zoom on pixels, not the object. This is probably the best quality you will find on an iPhone.

Great App, if there weren't so many crashes. I got this app, then started to play around with it. The first picture I took came out with stellar quality, then crashed. The next time I opened it, I took another picture, and it luckily didn't crash. I decided I'd take a look at the pictures I had taken. Crash. When opened again, I looked at my first picture, then tried to go back to the camera roll. Crash. Really good quality pictures, needs software improvement. At least it is only in its first version, and there will definitely be updates fixing these problems in the future, but for now, I would wait for them to come out.

What's the deal?. I bought this app a week or so before the new 3.0 update, and it worked great until then. But, as everyone keeps saying, now it doesn't work. Some of you can apparently at least take a picture or two; I can't even get mine to open. The screen just goes black when I click the app icon, then it crashes. I know they've already submitted the update, but someone needs to hurry Apple along. It's been over a month now, and I'm personally sick of waiting to use what I paid for. Hurry it up, or refund us...!

Why aren't you people reading the description?. What part of "an update has been submitted to deal with the 3.0 problems some of you have reported" do you not understand, people? Wait until the app's update is released to comment on this app. You're complaining about it not working and leaving harsh reviews; is YOUR app any better? Do you have any idea how much work goes into making an app? When an entire operating system changes it's hard to anticipate these problems, but what does that matter to a bunch of angry ADD reviewers looking for the next shiny toy to occupy their time.

Totally worth the $.99!. This is a great app. At first I wasn't going to get it because of all the bad reviews but then I needed to zoom in to take a picture and I couldn't with the regular camera. So I ended up buying the app to try it and when I first zoomed in it was really blurry however once I took the picture it cleared the picture. It was great. This is a great feature that the regular camera desperately needs and now we can atleast get it through this app.

Clarity is a Problemo!. I think the problem with this app is that the camera for the iphone is not made for zooming. That is why the photos always show a little blurry. I think u have to have a good hand for taking pictures cuz if u hold the iphone still the pic comes out a little clearer. They should still make a new update where the picture quality is clearer and u can delete and send photos directly from the app instead of going to the built in camera to do that stuff. Please please update please!!

Great program...this app is getting a Bum Rap!. I've been loading apps since the iPhone came out and have never been compelled to write a review until now. I LOVE this program. There is no software on earth that's going to overcome the shortcomings of the camera hardware, but in my opinion the user control of this app is fantastic! The iPhone camera is not great, but Camera Zoom has me taking way more pictures than I ever used to. THANK YOU!!!!

Not working with 3.0 needs to be emphasized more.... I loved this App, it worked great, that is before I upgraded my iPhone to version 3.0 and it quit working. Now I know when you read the review it does say they are working on a fix for 3.0, which I'm sure they are, but they need to warn folks not to buy it until the fix is available since you can't use it at all if you update to version 3.0. I would hold off upgrading to 3.0 if you can because this app is that good. However if, like me, you had other apps that had new versions with new features that were only available if you upgraded the iPhone software, I think it is a difficult decision to wait to get the new iPhone software.

Works great!. Seriously people?! It's been TWO WHOLE DAYS since the the new operating system was released and you're up in arms with pitchforks and torches because they haven't yet updated your 99 cent app?! Give me a break! This was a great app before updating to 3.0. I'm sure it will be a great app again when the update comes out. You can set it to zoom when you slide your finger anywhere along the screen and my favorite feature is tapping anywhere to shoot. This makes it much easier to take a picture of you and your sweetie (a fairly difficult thing to do with the native camera app). Granted it is just a digital zoom, so you're basically just getting an automatically cropped photo. But that's what is advertised and that's what it does ("did", and I'm sure "will do" again with an update). The fat skinny: For $0.99 it is a great camera with a digital zoom, as advertised.

Pretty good but.... I would like to preface this review by saying that I have been looking for a camera zoom app since I first puchased my iPhone and am very excited to see someone finally develoing a zoom feature. One of the first things I look for in my app. choices is a good icon and this one is nice; has a cohesive feel with the iPhone camera. However, I feel a couple of things could be better with the actual app performance: 1) I wish that the save preview was what the actual image looks like. I don't understand why the screen initially shows a low quality image, yet the (before save) preview is very clear but then it saves pixelized again. It's kind of a let down to see the picture clear up then become rough again. 2) If you hit the eye icon (bottom left) to look into your camera roll, then try to go back to camera mode, the zoom no longer works and you must exit and reload. Otherwise, it is worth the .99 and like most apps, the performance is most likely not as good as the concept. Perhaps these slight bugs can be fixed for an update?

Worked great before. Take a chill pill. Give it some to for an update. This app worked great before and it will again. Apple should come up with an app that test a users IQ before they make a purchase. But that wouldn't work since they would lose out on 90% of their sales. One thing that those iPhone and iTouch Camera Zoom buyers should realize. This app is a digital zoom NOT optical. Quality goes down as with any digital camera when zooming. On a side note THANKS for all the idiotic comments. I read reviews for the best laughs ever.

Clearly doesn't work for 3.0 YET. This app was essential before the new firmware was released, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Because of 3.0, they need to update the app - but they clearly stye in the app description that they've submitted it. Now it is in Apple's hands, which probably has hundreds of mostly garbage apps to go through. Those who are complaining that they just bought it and are upset that it doesn't work are just going to have to learn the lifelong lesson to READ before you purchase.
