Outstanding way for kids to learn math.. My 2 nieces are actually fighting over math! An excellent format for kids to learn math. Very well done. Although I should have deducted 2 or 3 stars, as I can't get my Ipod back from my nieces! Anyone with kids this is a must!

'Luvin it. This app has been a great help in memorization, if I don't use my math I lose it. It is a pretty simple design and it has quite a few selections from multiplication, addition, to fractions, roman numerals. I recommend you buy it, one of the best math apps out there.

A random problem generator. Nothing more. The application just gives you problems to solve and builds up a picture with pieces that you get as you solve the problems. I expected more, like tips and tricks to improve my mental math skills. the problems I can do on my own, without dishing our money for an application.

Good but. I like the program but there needs to be additional levels of difficulty. It seems just about every program out there is designed for elementary school so I'm glad this program goes further but it would be great if it went to level 5 or 6. Also, adding in a scoring mechanism based on time, correct answers and difficulty would make this program great.

The mathematical order is correct.. Other then claimed by the last entry the mathematical order follows the rules correctly. I tested up to level 4. Possible improvements would be: 0-12 instead of 0-9 Ability to practice single addition the same way as multiplication American Division notation Select you own notation It should say greatest common factor not divisor I do not want to have to press enter as it slows you down. Please add or change pictures regularly. Danke/ thank you for a fantastic fun app my kids love

Disappointed. I was hoping this game would teach speed math tricks. Instead, it only drills kids on basic math facts. Both of my daughters were quickly bored after one or two rounds.

Math Made Fun. Mental Maths is a nice little program for learning / enhancing your math skills. The four difficulty settings should help you match the program to your current skill level, and options like time limit and including / excluding negative numbers give you the ability to tweak the difficulty at any level. Having the goal of uncovering pictures is also a great incentive for little kids who will be eager to see the full picture, so to speak. My main suggestion would be a mode that allows you to transition between difficulty levels, instead of being able to play only one level at a time. Very well done application.

Great refresher. This app is a great refresher app for those who have been out of highschool ten plus years. Now all they need to come up with is a spelling app Wait that's my idea Todd

Mental Math. This device really helped me in Math at school. I would recommend this to anybody who needs help in math, wants to review a bit, or just wants to try it. I liked math before and now I love math even more. If you need something to do math I am not making you do it but I think you will really like this. I hope you have fun with this math learning system.

Great Program. This is one of the most versatile arithmetic and math programs that I've used to date. I love the different settings, and the ability to practice using compound expressions! Also, the Roman Numeral conversion challenge is a lot of fun as well. Thanks for the great program!

This app is great!!. The only thing I would like to see gone is that idiotic question everytime you answer a question, "Do you want to continue." Its something like that and it is very annoying when your trying to play fast. Other than that it's great.

Great Math Program. I am 10 years old and I practice with Mental Math with my Dad everyday. I love math and I get better at it everyday. You could make the program harder.

Levels should advance automatically. Love this app, however, once you've gone through a level successfully, it should automatically bump you up to the next level. As it is, you have to go to the menu and adjust the level manually. Other than that, a good app.

Great mind-twisting app!. This game is well worth the price, it's clean and simple. This app can really get you thinking and it's fun to test your abilities under the subject of math. If you have children that are in elementary school, this app is also a great addition to your library. The image being revealed after getting a math problem correct makes the app more enjoyable and less repetative. Overall I believe this app is nothing less than 5 stars for the simple fact it's beneficial torwards your mind and if you have children, their minds as well. Great app, must have for the low price!

Best math game. It's simple, kind of pointless but good for the brain I love this app Wakes up the mind but should add more pictures

Fun for any ages. If you forgot math, so you can do it for fun and enjoy it to memorize it again! :)

Good drilling tool. Showing my age here, but this reminds me of Math-a-Magic on my old Magnavox Odyssey2. Agree with the auto level up... Would also like the option to completely clear the answer when you get it wrong. Can't tell you how many times I've missed an answer twice because I mistyped the first time, getting one digit right, then tried typing the entire answer again. The option to hit an "enter" button would be nice, too, so you can confirm your answer. It's too easy to make a typing mistake on iPhone keyboards.

Very good. My kids 5th grader and 2nd grader love this app. They r very excited to beat the timer and what kind of puzzle they get to finish. Animals is their favourite. A very good app for travel too since it keeps them busy. Please include tips to crack these calculations.

Basic math. I rely like this program it more like a brush up tipe of math and it helps you out if you don't know the answer

Tester not Teacher. Great free app. All the challenge you want; however, doesn't replace one on one with the kids. They still need help with basic how-to's to build real confidence.

Great mental math app for various grades and ages!. This fun little app is great for both my 2nd grader and middle schooler. I like the various level challenges and variety of math challenges. My youngest gets a kick out of trying to beat the timer and finish the puzzles. Good job!

A way to improve myself in downtime. I bought this for my 11 year old daughter and now enjoy using it myself.

Great fun and for memory exercise. I've played this for a couple of days now and really enjoy it, especially using the Levels options and the wide range of math skills to play. It's also removing the cobwebs from my brain from using my calculator so much instead of my brain. Fun to play and good challenges with trying various levels. Well worth the purchase.

excellent for keeping you on your toes!. this is an excellent app for practicing mental calculations. my only complaint, and the reason i didn't give this app a five star rating, is that it should include tutorials on how the calculations are made. it took me a few tries with some of these to figure out what i was supposed to do. other than that, great app!

Good brain exercise. Pretty good, but I wish they could incorporate lessons and tips rather than simply test your math skills. It's been a while since I've taken a math class so I've gotten a little rusty. Great exercise for the brain, though.

Not what I expected. I expected that the app would provide tips to perform mental math more efficiently. No such luck. Just problems, no guidance or tips. Worth it for free; maybe even worth up to $3 if you just want to practice your math skills, but if you are like me and are no good at mental math, it's probably not what you are looking for either.

Mentalmath. Great way to exercise the brain. I would like to see a section on fractions. Maybe even some basic algebra.

Great!. Fantastic app for improving all of your basic math skills. Timed games help make you even faster at it. Would be better to have a chart that tracks your average solve speed.

Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!. I never was good at math. Probably because my school was too cheap to give me a math book when I was in third grade. But, that's an issue for the couch. I did baaaad on my first try: Level 1 -- Addition -- No Time Limit. My score was 9 out of 20. That means I only got 12 correct. I'll never try THAT again!! However, I did find this a valuable tool for learning my multiplication table, since I still have to use my fingers: "one, two, three...four, five,six...three times two equals six!" As i always say, when I don't have a calculator, I can always count on my fingers!  Anyway, I'm up to my twosies. Now, I need to get back to class. Some of my students are really getting restless...

Wonderful and fun. Excellent for keeping oneself finely tuned in the basics. I especially enjoy the roman numerals, don't know why, but it is my favorite. You just can't go wrong with an app like this. Thank you to the maker(s) of this app.

Good for kids. This application makes the boring math tests fun with pictures, which helps attract kids to play with. This is the best part of the application and I like it. However, the question is still boring by itself, and may need more styles.

Really cool game.. There's a difficulty level for everyone. Maybe future updates could make it even MORE difficult? I.e. have the roman numerals go up to 1000. There's all kinds of calculations like percentages and squares. It's not as easy as it looks!

Great app, perfect for quick exercises. This app offers a multitude of mathematic exercises and difficulty levels for gradually progression. This UI is sleek, but could use some fine tuning with the number pad and possibly offer options beyond the standard picture and tile. I highly recommend this app to any student in k-12, or person trying to catch up on some arithmatic.

Great. For when I don't feel like killing something or other games, it's fun. I enjoy trying to break my time records.

EXCELLENT app. This app is for anyone who wants to improve their mental math skills in a simple and fun way (and for only a buck, too!) Mental Maths has many categories to work in, and tons of animal pictures to uncover. Level one isn't too tough, but the hardest levels are nearly impossible! Great way to waste time, but not your brain.. Nice little app, easy interface, several difficulties and exercises.

Right Direction. A good game with only a little need to improve. I personally wouldn't mind seeing more features for learning but this as is is a good refresher.

This is okay..... I like the flexibility of the testing menu however, mentally doing multiplication or division with two big numbers may not be so useful. My son enjoyed the pictures but even that seemed a bit disconnected from the premise of answering math questions. Overall, it is good.

Pretty good. The only two things I would suggest changing/adding: Be able to swap between number layouts (1, 2, 3 at the top instead of 7, 8, 9 etc) And better quality images for Iphone 4 Retina display.

Awesome!!!!!. It's a really great app but I would put a timer on. The app is really great and helped me improve on my mental math in no time.

Not just a game. This isn't just a game, it's a great way to improve arithmatic for anyone of any age. The levels can be adjusted, the timers can be set to different intervals, and you can choose different types of arithmatics to be tested on. It also provides some educational information such as handy multiplication table and such so it's a great reference for any school kid or someone who hasn't been doing arithmatic for too too long.

Great pass time app. My mental math has never been my strong point, but now I can slow and at my own time work on improving it!

Great for improving proficiency!. Great little app. I was terrible at math and now... Well now I'm still pretty bad, but much improved, and in a very short period of time. I'm also finding that I can't wait until the next time i can play a few rounds - the better I get the more I enjoy it. Don't like how the answer maintains a digit if you've entered the first digit correctly. If the answer is wrong make us start from scratch - no hints!

Not bad at all.... I enjoy working with this app to practice my math. I find the jump from lvl 2 to lvl 3 to be a little too large, so it might be nice to be able to define parameters for each lvl or type of math. No real complaints.

Needs Timer!. Add a timer. The time limit is not sufficient to motivate us to do better. We need an actual timer that tells you your time after each try.

Great application for basic math skills!. Well thought out application! I like the stats feature and the ability to differentiate between users. Some simple requests: • upload personal pics • stop watch for lesson duration (stats) • more options/selections for sound feedback • currency section ie. add/sub larger numbers

Just random math quiz?! . I thought it was a game giving you special training on math. It turns out just a simple random math quiz app reward you with pictures. What a waste for my money. Wondering who wrote all the 5 stars comments.... Nice name to trick me into buying it.
