Still too buggy to play through. By closing and reopening the game frequently, I was able to get to the 4th level. At that point, the part where the monorail tap-to-move dynamic doesn’t work at all made it impossible and annoying. It’s a fun premise, but clearly theses Netflix games are just slopped together with no testing or fix team.

Great Game, Too Critical of a Bug. This game has this bug where once i enter level 2, the game crashes after a while and when i relaunch the game it just crashes in the loading screen. I’ve tried so many things and deleted and redownloaded this app so many times but the bug persists. And it is a shame too because it is a great game and super relaxing and ive had a lot of fun playing it when it doesn’t crash. So devs, please fix this bug.

*UPDATE* Monorail Bug. *UPDATE* - After searching online, the monorail bug isn’t actually a bug but instead misleading instructions. You have to place a monorail node next to a building, then tap the node and select a building near it. Then you can relocate the building anywhere along the monorail line you’ve built. Having finally figured this out, I’m updating my rating to 4 stars instead of 5, only because the unclear wording of the instructions almost had me give up on the game completely. ————————— I love this game so much! It’s great to play a world building game where you build up the world, rather than deplete it of resources . My issue, though, is that I cannot get past the second ecosystem as it will not allow me to place cars on the monorail. I have tried starting over, changing the difficulty, and even uninstalling then reinstalling, and it still won’t work. I hope they’re able to fix this bug quickly, as I really want to continue playing.

Good idea, bad execution. I thought this game was such a good idea and it could have been really fun but it was really disappointing. I wasn’t able to make it past the first level because it kept crashing right after I would load in to the save. Not to mention, the game is very repetitive and is pretty boring. If you already have Netflix I suggest giving it a try since it is free and it might be more fun for you but it wasn’t worth it for me

Amazing!. Amazing game. Challenging. Easy enough to finish without too much stress. And doesn’t go on and on. So I can delete after I m finish. But it does drain my battery really fast and heat up my phone like crazy.

Fun but buggy. Love the game but can’t play because it always crashes. I got to play for about 30mins then after that it won’t 3mins without kicking me out.

Loved it, till it bugged out. I started really enjoying this game. It actually surprised me with how enjoyable yet challenging it was to play. Couldn’t even get past the first phase and it began crashing on me whenever I tried to move a new building around. 6 times that happened, until it just started crashing before I could even get to the game itself. Netflix support is SUPER UNHELPFUL even if you try to report something wrong with the game.I doubt the developers even check these reviews. If they did, this app wouldn’t be this buggy for this long. If they do, then please fix. I really want to enjoy this beautiful game you’ve created!

Please pull October hotfix. I love this game but I’m soft locked on the sunflowers on Hard mode. This was fixed in the PC version in October along with many other bug fixes, can the mobile version please pull this update?

Best Relaxing Game Ever. This game was phenomenal though it can be short lived as there is only the one planet. Takes a bit to learn the mechanics but once you do it is absolutely fun and I’ve even played maps multiple times to try and prolong the experience. Hope there will be more maps in the future.

Amazing game, few glitches. Terra nil is one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played, the graphics, the strategy, all of it is amazing. I did experience a few glitches like buildings not placing when I place them, but that’s it.

Netflix. Downloaded it not knowing it was a Netflix exclusive. Having an Apple play exclusive game is one thing since it’s automatically still with Apple, but if Netflix wants Netflix games, that’s making a whole second exclusive account, or more if more developers hop on board. When I see an interesting game I want to try it from a guest account, have multiple account options or not be able to see it at all. Make your own game system for your exclusive games Netflix

Fun, but Glitchy. This game is marvelously addicting. So far I’ve done the entire play through several times, once on the hardest mode. The game however still is very buggy, where there are times that the animals don’t show up even though everything they needed was checked off, or menus open when they aren’t pressed. I also wish there were more biomes and levels to explore, as the game play through only has four biomes/levels and only one bonus map level per biome once the main game is completed. It would be much more fun to have more bonus level maps of varying difficulty and more biomes. There’s already Temperate, Tropical Island, Polar/Arctic, and tropical cityscape. Would be interesting to have things like a desert biome, a completely marine level like an abyss, and subtropical biomes, or even a subterranean level.

Would be great if playable. As others have mentioned it’s a great game but unfortunately you can’t play past the first level. At the very end of the level it crashes if you try and do anything else. You can load the game again and resume but it does the same thing time after time. I wonder if they’re still supporting this game as this seems to be an issue for a while now.

Great game too many bugs. I am a complete beginner and can’t get any progress because the game keeps crashing. Also you can’t delete buildings that were built more than a turn ago. They say you can move already made building but you can’t. If all of these problems were nonexistent, I would rate this a solid 4. Netflix, please make test phones to test all of these issues. I have an I phone 6 though so I guess I’m doomed.

great game, if it would work. I actually really loved playing this game, however after the first level the app crashes during the loading screen EVERY TINE making the game unplayable. Very disappointing considering how imaginative and relaxing the limited gameplay I experienced was. Hope to see this fixed in the near future.

Fun but unplayable. Really like the idea, but the random crashes that force me to restart the entire game are frequent and make the game unplayable. Seems like I’m not the only one. At 8 months since an update, it seems like they have no intention of fixing this.

Incredible Concept but Buggy. Ugh it’s frustrating that certain actions in this game won’t respond at random times. Most consistent bug seems to be when trying to relocate items along the monorail. Other bugs: -Failure to even acknowledge an action unless game is closed and reopened. Progress reverses if game screen is interrupted by a notification banner. Animals found reverts to 0 if switching screens momentarily such as to text, check news, change song on player. There are others but these are the most common

Innovative and Lovely, but One Level Glitches. I really love the game! I’ve played a lot of cv builders, and the concept of a “devolver” where you’re reclaiming land and ecosystems is truly unique. Love the animations and the various play styles. The one drawback is that one of the levels (Flooded City) often glitches when you load. Depending on the location of one of the randomly generated map features (radioactive waste depot), you might not be able to complete the level at all. I’m still seeing if I can find a workaround, but it’s highly frustrating to try a level multiple times in a row and not be able to complete it. Otherwise, a great game!

Crashing :(. Let me first say that this is a great game, it is so relaxing, especially the music. But, it keeps crashing. Even if I set the graphics to very low, it still crashes. It especially crashes once you unlock rain. Although I play this game an a old iPad if you release a game on a platform it should be able to preform well on said platform.

Very fun pleasing game, but short with bugs. I really loved playing this game, but it crashed a lot. Some days I would have to stop playing altogether because it was so bad. Also, there are only 4 different maps to play on so far. I would love more content with different themed/styled worlds with different animals and plants. It is a very relaxing puzzle to work on with pleasant graphics.

Solarpunk Sim City. Was obsessed with playing sim city 2000 as a kid and never found anything reminiscent of that childhood experience until playing Terra Nil. Beyond it just being enjoyable from a pure gameplay perspective, I love that this takes the opposite approach from the doom and gloom messaging of most climate change activism by showing what the future could look like through innovation and human resourcefulness—with the end goal of restoring earth and building for nature first, not humans. Can be as challenging as you want with many options to change the difficulty of the game. I found the “ecologist” mode enjoyable with increasingly appropriate difficulty as you get into later stages. Will be recommending to friends and family for sure!

good enough. The game does as advertised. However I found it too easy. I think many of the negative reviews I read were just people who didn’t progress far enough or doesn’t fully understand the mechanics.

Why do I need an account to play a game?. I know this is an ad in game form, and I know it’s the way the industry has gone, but do I really need an account to play a mobile game? Is it so ridiculous that I might just want to enjoy something without it being gated behind one of a thousand 2-step verification logins?

Bugs prevented me finishing. This is a fun game, but the bugginess mentioned in most other reviews bit me as well. I am unable to finish the last level because the monorail towers needed to do the final recycling will not actually build when I try to build them.

Crashes too often. I would rate this game 5 stars if it weren’t for the crashing. Love the concept and gameplay however crashing makes it unplayable. (It crashes during the loading, and if I’m lucky, I get to play one minute of it until it crashes again.)

Glitchy at best, mechanics don’t work. I can’t move buildings, I’m doing it exactly the way the tooltips tell you to do it, but it just tells you what the building is instead of moving it. It glitches and crashes after you play longer than 15minutes and if you have any older phone be prepared to plug it in and out on some gloves because it’ll get hot like sims. Netflix I know you like the money but pay your developers to make games that are ment for apples App Store, not the indie startup game section on steam

High quality and well designed. Terra Nil is a rare game in that you are “building” a restored ecosystem. You begin by placing a piece that prepares the surrounding area for plant life, then move on to growing grass, forests, and other environments then attracting animals. The challenge is in avoiding mistakes that prevent you from fully restoring the environment. You must be efficient with your placement. Each scenario takes roughly 45 minutes to 1:30 hours and can be paused. I highly recommend this game for lovers of strategy games who are looking for a casual option. My one critique is that this game is relatively short, and could be completed in a weekend.

Game Stalls at Second Area Glitch. Game is great but stalls in the second area when asked to put down “1 more” Monorail pilings. Glitch causes no further progress in entire game. Please fix ASAP!!

Great concept, but crashes make it impossible to play. I love the idea, but just when it starts to get fun and you feel like you are making progress, it just crashes. Hard, and repeatedly. It won’t even open your saved game, so you have to start a new game. Which will also soon crash hard. Fix it and I would definitely play. But it’s not fun doing incessant restarts with this version.

I love this game. I am a huge fan of this game, super relaxing and everything works for me. Sometimes getting 100% restoration can get a bit tedious but fun overall. My only real problem is that there isn’t more levels.

Updated: monorail not a bug. Had to Google what the task was asking. Place a monorail node near a building, select monorail the the building to move to new location. This unlocks coral.

Looses functionality after 1st level. I really enjoyed the first restoration level, very relaxing and satisfying. However, on the second level (tropical biome) one of the habitat restoration features simply doesn’t work at all, so I can restore 3 of the 4 habitats, max. Coral reef restoration requires you build a monorail, with a feature that is supposed to unlock after you deploy the monorail feature once. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I added a monorail, the locked feature still always said I had to deploy the monorail feature (1) more time before I could continue. Even after I erased my progress and started over. Stopped my gameplay in its tracks and I can’t advance. I’m playing on my iPhone, perhaps this isn’t an issue on a PC.

Good but crashes. This game is actually so good and addictive but sometimes when I’m playing the game and I’m you know like having fun and stuff it just randomly crashes and closes my app. But over all it’s a good peaceful and calm game.

Love the game but crashing is terrible. I love the gameplay and everything about this game. However as you get close to finishing an area the game constantly crashes and sends you to Home Screen. At this point it won’t even load the world before it crashes.

Clever and fun, but has a lot of bugs. This is quite possibly the most innovative game I have played. I absolutely loved the gameplay and the increasing levels of difficulty with each biome as the game progressed. That being said, flaws in the game coding made gameplay quite frustrating at times. In the final level, when I was collecting seeds, the satellite interface would randomly exit, dumping me back into the main screen and exiting the biome I was collecting from. The location of the interface buttons also have entirely too much overlap, meaning that sometimes I was unable to scroll because the directional arrows were directly underneath the main game menu. The in-game help was also less than useful at times, requiring me to exit the game and do an internet search to solve my problems. Honestly, if they took the time to fix the GUI, in-game guide, and coding issues, this game would deserve 5 stars. Pros: — innovative — engaging — challenging — extremely fun Cons: — badly designed GUI with too much overlap of clipping paths — poorly coded interface — errors made gameplay extremely frustrating at times — needs an update to address coding errors

Crashes all the time. Would be a great game if it didn’t crash constantly. I hope the developers see all these reviews and come up with a fix.

Good premise and fun - but only skin deep. This relaxing and fun sim game appears to be the opposite of Simcity. It makes you think without being too challenging, and not a huge time commitment - I finished the initial world in a day. My main complaint is that the game’s structure is simplistic. With a few exceptions, buildings have an effect only when placed and are basically monuments until they are recycled as you leave. Second complaint is bizarre technology choices. You don’t get power transmission lines & poles until area 3 I think. You get a waterborne recycling drone, why not one that travels on land? Why not drone bulldozers (realistic tech) instead of weird futuristic “excavators” that basically are huge guns firing giant bullets to dig trenches for water, lava, etc. (nonsense). Why no solar power generators? I enjoyed it for a day, and now I’m done with it.

Perfect mix of strategy, addictiveness, and aesthetics. I used to play mobile games a lot, but kind of fell out of it. This is the first one in years that absolutely grabbed me and couldn't put it down.

Beautiful game. Very relaxing and serene, you can lose hours In this, but be warned it is pretty processor heavy and can easily drain battery since it is a pc game, but other than that it works well and has some interesting scenarios and is stunning visually.

Becomes more challenging. As you progress through its 4 areas. Very relaxing game but there is strategy to the gameplay. It’s not a “turn your brain off” kind of game. I’m loving the strategy and beautiful art and music. My only issue is the game is a battery drain.

Terra Crashing. Enjoyed the 13 minutes I got to play, before it became a crashing app. The moment the loading screen comes on, one thing is certain, a crash is coming within ten seconds.

More levels!. Love the game! There’s bugs, but you just restart the app or go to the main menu to resume your adventure. The problem is…I finished! I need more levels/different maps!

Well, I tried. I suppose it’s an okay game. Got to the point where you start finding animals, but something buggy happened. And since it told me it would save my game automatically, I was like cool, I can just exit to the main screen and reload. Tell me why when I reloaded, I can’t even see my next task of 0/3 animals, not can I even see past “level 1” buildings? I already found the frog, now I have to go search for it again?! I thought it automatically saved? If it saved, it would put me back where I was, not at the beginning with only 1/3 of my buildings available. 😒

Good game, just has a few bugs.. I’ve been playing it since it came out in my phone. Most of the time after I leave the game, it says that the progress is saved automatically, but when I come back, it didn’t save where it was and I had to do a few tasks again. Another thing I have noticed is regarding the monorail. When I place a link near the buildings, I get the option to select one and move it to any other location, but when I try clicking on the building, which is clearly highlighted within the range, it simply does not let me move it. I need to select a different task in the game, then go back to the monorail and this time it works.

Crashes. Seems fun, but i haven’t completed the first level as it really does crash very often. My phone’s not the latest model, but it really shouldn’t crash so much. Since I installed some cloud seeders the rain has just made it entirely unopenable. Please do try to fix this, I’d like to play it

Was looking forward to it. I was really looking forward to playing this game, but you need Netflix subscription to play it? It couldn't be like 5 bucks instead of the ripoff of needing to buy a subscription to Netflix? Even 5 bucks is extremely steep for this game. And thats only on mobile. On PC steam its even more expensive.

Gorgeous little puzzle game. Lovely little puzzle game, with cute animations, soothing audio, and just enough strategy involved for the end product (restoration) to feel fulfilling. No bugs or glitches encountered so far, and no ads!

Good game!. I know a lot of people have had issues with the performance of this game, but I never have. The graphics are amazing and it’s so satisfying to play! But it gets super boring after you’ve completed all the maps. Please release more maps!

Excellent concept, needs remediation. Love the approach in this game. Very satisfying to play… while it works. The game crashes frequently and sometimes the saved games don’t load properly. I hope this is fixed, the art and music are soothing. The change from the all the other city builders is refreshing and enjoyable.

Great concept, needs bug fixes. Game is worth playing and enjoyable. Encourages mindfulness and thoughtfulness about the environment. However, the game crashes often. Haven’t finished the first level. I have even lowered the graphics to very low and still crashes. Would love to play it. But without the crashes.

Basics are there but crashes so often it is unplayable. Great concept, I built my world up and achieved all the targets but now it crashes so often I can barely even get it open. Shame. Unless that issue is fixed I won’t be downloading any more of these. The “old bad iPad” comment is not great either - the game either works or it doesn’t. I am not going to shell out for an upgrade just to play one game out of a wide choice of others that do work!

Netflix subscription….?. Apparently you need an active Netflix subscription to play this game!? It literally just loads to a Netflix log in screen when you open the game…What…? Why would I subscribe to Netflix just to play one game?

Love the potential. I am addicted to strategic games like this. I love that it’s complicated and gets me thinking. I love the eco saving narrative. I don’t love that it glitches every once in a while and ruins hours of progress. Currently redoing the first level to get 100% and its glitched so the book wont close. I click the X, the X indents to show I’m clicking it, nothing happens. I try to move a highlighted and within range building to move via monorail and it wont register. I try to recycle the monorail to complete the game the icon is stuck in the corner and wont select. I also understand that tutorials have to end but when you’re stuck you should be able to have a tutorial up to where you are to explain why it’s not working for you. Also don’t love that the generated level sometimes wont fill its own requirements and give you enough cliff side or rocks to spread out across the map and complete the objectives. There’s no in game option to reach out for help from the developers, you have to go through the netflix app separately and hope your game doesn’t crash and lose your progress. I could just be blind and half asleep but while sick in bed I started this journey and it’s been one issue after another. I love the concept of this game and really hope theres a patch update soon before my ADD brain loses momentum and I forget about the app altogether.

Game Instability. The game initially holds up quite well. However, about 10 minutes into playing it crashes every time it opens. Please fix this issue as this game was generally relaxing to play and would probably receive 5 stars without this major issue

Good game. But becomes unplayable. I was really enjoying the game to start. But I can only get as far as starting clean up of my staring area. Then the game crashes. I can no longer play. As so as I load my save a second later the games crashes. It’s extremely frustrating as I’ve seen play through done by other people. So I guess I’ll have to get it on my laptop. Cause on the iPad is unplayable.

Excellent game but I’m stuck in the last game. I’ve been trying to complete the last game and I keep getting stuck with the sunflowers, I can never get the sunflowers above or below 82% complete, I don’t know if it’s a bug in the game but no matter how little or how much ground I have ready, it doesn’t change

Beautiful but glitchy. Really beautiful game with a nice amount of gameplay options to adjust for beginners to skilled strategy gamers. I enjoyed my play through but It's too bad this mobile version is so profoundly glitchy. occasionally I would lay down a building that just didn't work at all. It was like the game would only half recognize what was there- eg I couldn't hook anything up to that windmill, as if it wasn't there at all, but also I couldn't put any new windmills near it as if it were there. Most annoyingly, every time I exited to the main menu it claimed to save my progress but then I would resume play to find my climate goals half reverted or my animals half despawned, or a bunch of my progess undone but seemingly all out of order. Like half the things would save but then some would revert to even earlier steps. I ended up trying to rush to finish each map in one sitting so I could keep my progress which ended up a lot more stressful than soothing. Even then the game would overheat my iPhone and crash randomly, also messing up my progress. Really big bummer to come back to a beautifully terraformed and populated map that was almost done, and then have to burn huge chunks down and freeze it all over just to re-meet a climate goal that I had already met but that didn't get saved. I ended up with a lot of maps that were technically 100% complete but were way short on the biomes and just kind of a mess from all the last minute climate readjustment. I still feel bad about leaving the volcanic glacier terrain with just enough scrubby patches of forest and tundra to get one of each animal down because I lost all my climate goals progress right before the final departure step and had to burn and freeze everything basically to the ground and then rush to finish to actually save my progress. Sorry to those Elk who live in the single tiniest saddest patch of forest :( when I had to scan all the different maps for seeds at the end I wanted to enjoy my handiwork but I mostly ended up rushing through it and being reminded of all the corners I had cut on other maps. Bittersweet to say the least. Anyways it's a lovely game and very satisfying, very pretty to look at and listen to. And I think the fact that I'm upset about things like the size of a forest for Elk speak to a meaningful game that is very evocative. I just hope the glitches get ironed out so I can play it through again without getting a stress migraine this time.

Need iPhone 13 mini Support. fix that when its possible

Bugs need to be fixed. The game is really interesting however it relentlessly crashes after the 3rd level or so. Hope they’ll work out an update to address the issue.

Challenging but short. The game is quite challenging, which I enjoyed. I had to restart levels multiple times and use trial and error to discover some procedures. But there are only a few levels and then it’s over. Maybe they will add more in the future.

Great game. Love the game and the mechanics and would love to see more areas to play in. Apple Pencil doesn’t work for dragging and placing buildings. Also would rather just buy it than have to use a Netflix account. Please consider releasing it standalone.

Great game, if it didn’t crash constantly. I really enjoyed playing the prototype of this game, and was looking forward to playing the full version, but it crashes constantly.

Needs serious glitch fixes. The first run through was fantastic despite some serious battery drain. Love the simple sim play that doesn’t require weeks of play to complete levels. However once I reached the second biome/level it started to crash, not recognize where items were placed, or would render changes incredibly slowly, and not save my progress. These glitches have made it unplayable. Considering that I’m paying to play through my Netflix account it’s a disappointment.

I’ve tried reporting problems and I’ve tried working around it I I only ever got it to get to the next level and that was after constant crashing and me playing with the settings to get it to work somehow also sound just never stops I guess. I litterally pulled every slider down to zero and it still played some of the sounds like the building that waters the dirt it just doesn’t stay silent only way is to mute the whole phone not huge but maybe a hint as to what’s causing the crashing

Can't Stop Crashing. Overall it's a pretty nice game but it crashes a lot and you lose every bit of progress you made in the process. It's very frustrating because I like the gameplay and the strategy especially for a game I can play on a phone.

Love it!. Simple, beautiful and ADD FREE YAYYYY! I only had it crash once but no other issues. Does drain battery but not a big deal if you have a charger nearby. Would love more levels and maybe a rework of the “recycling” step as it can get a bit tedious. I love the strategy, would love more biomes!

Incredible Game, Needs Graphics Options. This game is lovely. I love the zen mindset it induces when restoring biomes and reintroducing wildlife. The game is short, but I haven’t tried the replayability mechanics yet, for reasons detailed below. Unfortunately, the game is very demanding. It causes my iPhone 12 Pro to overheat, at which point the game gets so buggy it becomes unplayable. This, along with the significant battery drain, limit me to playing in short spurts. The game lacks any options for tuning graphical fidelity or limiting the framerate. I am optimistic that if these options were added the game could run much more consistently.

enjoyable. The game is pretty enjoyable. I think the game crashes for some because of the default parameters that can be changed to lower quality.. otherwise my only issue is 4th map level 2 with the sunflowers which seems to be a problems for steam players as well.. I would be great fil if that was fixed. Thanks!

It’s a great game… for about 5 minutes.. I loved the game while it was working just fine. Had my graphics as low as possible to improve performance and everything but now it doesn’t even load the game. Waste of my time until it’s fixed.

Crashes make it unplayable. I was hopeful when it updated, but it still crashes frequently past phase 2, and it becomes impossible to progress once you start trying to recycle and it crashes before even loading. Game is buggy. On the 4th map, sunken city, you cannot build enough sunflowers to proceed and are blocked. This is a bug that the developers have not prioritized fixing for some reason. Don’t bother playing unless you enjoy unwinnable games.

So peaceful, until it annoys you. You pretty much will need to look up stuff on Google Even then, the random map generation will make certain goals impossible and you won’t really know that until you’re almost done the area. Can’t zoom out on iPad. Works fine on my phone, but on iPad I can’t zoom out so for a builder that’s a poor experience and makes it unplayable.

Would be super enjoyable…. 1) if it actually had instructions or hints and not the useless book, or the info tab that should have a lot more info (tiny icons are useless if you don’t know what they mean) and attach them to the bottom menu not after you put the object on the map. 2) if it wasn’t so bloody glitchy, especially in the 4th biome. I can’t finish it because of glitches with pylons plunked down in my rocket instead of where they belong, etc etc etc. 3) if it didn’t say things like “use sonar to find” - like isn’t that what I’m doing? The whole scan thing is tediously over-complicated to use to point of frustration and boredom. Needs streamlining. 4) if everything was either a tap and place or a drag or a double tap… weirdly messy way to build. 5) if it fixed these issues and added more levels. Love the concept; needs work!

A beautiful and relaxing game. I feel that too often people want a game to play that will never end. I find endless games tedious and take up too much of my time chasing an endless goal. This game is not like that. Besides the beautiful artwork and great gameplay, it is a game that has limits on purpose. It isn’t meant to be plays for hours on end, but rather a half hour at a time. I won’t be playing it every day, but when I’m stressed and need to relax, this will be the first game I come to. Thank you Free Lives Team and Devolver Studios!

Beat it in about a week!. I’d been waiting for this game to come out on Steam for a while then noticed it was available in the App Store! Immediate download! And beat the game 5 days later! So good! Highly recommend!! The only complaint is that is drains your battery HARD!! Like I had it on the charger and it was using the power as fast as the charger could give it.

When I run out of resources. I don’t know if this is intentional or not but when I run out of resources and a monorail used the last resources to recycle them it games over before the resources can be recycled. Which should give me enough resources to keep recycling. It’s very frustrating because why would it let me purchase it if it would end the game? It should let me keep recycling until I can’t bring in any more revenue.

To Netflix. First of all this game is absolutely awesome! It got me from the start with the cool skill based gameplay to the cool learning experience with ecosystems. It is a game I got hooked to almost immediately with its awesome building environment experience as well as reforming environments. I love Netflix making these awesome games and am tremendously happy with the result of this game. Easily my top 3 favorite mobile games I have ever played, to whom ever made this game, Awesome job and Thank you for making a fun relaxing game people get to experience and enjoy!

Fun and only a few Bugs. This game was fun. There are certain aspects that make it challenging, but also fit within the theme of the game. For example when you place a building, you can’t relocate it (at least initially). So it’s kind of like chess where you are thinking a few moves ahead. There are some issues with the game that prevent this from being 5 stars. For example, there are some actions in the game that could use a few more details. Like how to leverage monorails, perform a satellite recall, and the secondary use of some buildings. Additionally, there is a seed gathering mini game where the controls are somewhat obstructed by existing UI elements. All of these amounted to minor inconveniences that a google search solved, or just being careful when pressing buttons. Nevertheless, it’s fun and would recommend.

Crash, Crash, Crash. Love sim games, but…. Just started getting the hang of this game. I haven’t gotten to even learn where I’m at in game and now it won’t go past loading. Uninstalled.

Good game, not so great port. I know at its core this a good game, I’ve watched lots of people play it. The problem is this port is a bit finicky. I didn’t have my game restart or crash, but the controls were very picky. The worst was that when I tried to fix the picky control problem with my Apple Pencil, it was impossible to play. This might actually be the first game I’ve ever played where the Apple Pencil didn’t register at all. I would wait for them to fix it a bit and give it another go. It’s a relaxing puzzlish game that I think worth a shot at least once….assuming it opens and you can actually put stuff down, lol. I’m playing on an iPad Pro 3rd Gen 12.9 with a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil on iOS 16.2.

Loved the game. Hated the crash. It’s a really fun game, but I can only play the first island so many time before I want to do something else. It crashes every time I want to play another island. I got to 17% on another one once, but when I closed it up and came back to it, I wouldn’t even get past the title before crashing. Oh, well… I guess I’ll wait till the next update to play.

This is relaxing?. All the stories I’d seen about this game said it was almost meditative in the way you can restore the environment. I find nothing relaxing about trying to figure out to grow a tree properly so I can stick a beehive in it. Or trying to find a river near a forest that meets the requirements (it must be a magic river near a forest because I tried all the freaking rivers). This is about as soothing as trying to learn Photoshop. It’s irritating. Got to the second level, spent a half hour trying to find the right river and then deleted the app. Life is too short.

When I downloaded this, I expected it to be a nice environment game, but I needed an account, I don’t have one, kids downloaded this and couldn’t play it because you needed an account. Stop min/max’ing!. This game is an incredibly relaxing time sink… if you stop trying to play at maximum efficiency. The game rhythm of: discover new land, make it suitable for life, find said life, and pack out all your stuff… it’s so addicting! I’ll eventually buy this on PC but I’m loving my time testing things out on iPad and iPhone. Runs really well on both platforms but playing on iPad has been the better experience.

Would be 5 stars without all the bugs. The game itself is great, but it almost feels as if bugs are built into the game on purpose to make the gameplay hours longer. You are expected to replay the same regions and phases multiple times before you pass. Once is a learning experience but multiple times is just annoying. The tutorials and tips aren’t very useful. It’s more of a trial and error process. It sometimes looses your progress which adds to the number of times you must re-play the same part. It’s 4 stars if you don’t mind not being able to finish the game - but 3 if you really were enjoying playing and ran into bugs. There’s a bug at the end where you can’t recall the satellite to complete the last mission. A quick google search may provide some tips.

It’s good but needs work. I enjoy this game a lot but there are a few things I dislike. I completed the worlds entirely, now it’s basically I can keep replaying the same locations even though they change a bit landscape wise. It DRAINS my phone battery and my phone will begin to overheat. While it’s super relaxing and makes me think of a fancy Minecraft I wish there was more to it. I realized all the game modes are practically the same because I’ve kept trying to play the different ones. Overall I think there could be some differences made to make somebody want to play it long term and not finish it in 2-3 days. I also had some issues with things that I did have to google. The tutorial is helpful to some extent.

Great concept but lots of bugs. This game has great concept, I really like the idea of being able to restore the nature then leave no trace behind. However, probably because it is brand new, there are tons of bugs. For example, when you use your last bit of “money” to start a recycle mission, knowing that this mission will give you enough money back for continuing the game, the system won’t be patient enough to wait for your recycle mission to finish. Instead, it will directly announce that you “failed” and only allows you to restart.

Subscription fee for a mobile game. Giving it three stars because I love the original game on PC and it certainly doesn’t deserve a low ranking for content. But this is a Netflix subscription exclusive - *subscription!* - so if you want to play it you will be stuck paying a monthly fee just to access it. Just buy it on PC. You can enjoy it at higher fidelity and not lose access from cutting ties to Netflix, plus you are more directly supporting the dev team and their causes.

Getting stuck on arbitrary requirements. I want to love this game so much; it seems almost tailor made for me! But it seems like it still needs some time to work out the kinks. The latest for me was that so couldn’t grow enough tropical rainforests because of how I placed my initial sun-shades, I guess. You can’t delete buildings (at least I couldn’t at that point in the level) and the sun-shade pillars seem to be the only building the monorail doesn’t allow you to move! Basically, I got soft-locked out of the level because I was trying to learn the mechanics and made a simple mistake. It’s disappointing and I’m hoping the developers will continue to work on the game to make it into the experience it has the potential to be.

Unique city development/resource management game. Sim City brought me in to the gaming world many many years ago so this game really brought me back. This is obviously Netflix but I’d like to know more about the company that actually developed the game because this is a great unique spin on a building-simulation/strategy game. I would say that the game is in its early stages with some minor UI issues but I don’t think it’s worth losing a star over. It hit the top 50 for strategy games already so Netflix will probably fork over some money to the developers to get those issues updated soon. I see many people having issues about getting stuck in certain sections of the game but I haven’t had those issues. Also, I think the crashes are dependent on what type of device you use too; which will also be fixed shortly. I don’t see Terra Nil throwing in micro-transactions in the future either so if you’re looking for something to kill some time while getting your Zen on, the core of this game should be good for years to come.

Boring buggy game. Ridiculed with bugs, some so massive it makes the game literally unplayable, and is so slow it is terribly boring. The walkthrough tutorial is also bad. Seems like they give lots of info, yet it is not helpful at all. Not sure how they manage that. But because of that, you have to restart the same level a few times and it is time consuming. I also can’t seem to actually finish a level due to bugs and other things. Waste of time and I would expect better product from such a large company as Netflix.

Love the game but it keeps crashing. I love this game and have played a little bit of it and watched a ton of videos on it, but the game keeps crashing. It might just be that my phone is too old (iPhone 7) or my storage is too full, but I would love a way to reduce the graphics so that it would stop crashing if the graphics being too high are the problem. If it’s just the game needing a fix, I hope it happens soon so I can play. Also, the Netflix login isn’t a problem since my family already has a Netflix account.

The recycling portion of this game is extremely poorly thought out. In order to finish a map, you have to recycle every building. In order to do that, you need a drone. This drone needs to travel in a river. The river needs to be built out and reach your buildings. You have to build buildings endlessly to recycle the buildings. I honestly couldn’t finish the first map because it’s tedious and frustrating trying to get your last several buildings recycled. I really don’t think this was very well thought out. Maybe make it like 80% and the rest recycles itself or something? Not worth the effort.

Love it!! But it crashes. I saw the trailer for this game two days before it released and I instantly wanted to play it. When it finally released, I started the game and created a new world. Then it crashed. I thought nothing of it and started the game again. This time, it actually loaded and i could play it. It was wonderful, I love the gameplay and art style. Then I got to the part where It starts raining. It crashed. I booted it back up again, loaded in and it was extremely laggy. The lag calmed down in a few seconds and I tried to place down the ship when it crashed. Now I know something is wrong. I start the game, load the world and instead of moving the camera, I leave it be to see if it crashes. It seems fine and I zoom out and it crashes for the third time in a row. I just stop trying at this point. Then I noticed that my battery went from 80 to 62 in 7 minutes of gameplay. I would company of heroes on here and it would take five minutes to drop one percent. I hope, since the game just released, that this is all fixed and works properly as it updates. I really loved the first few minutes that I played it for and would love to play the rest of the game.

Addictive Game Play But…. The premise that this game poses is that the absence of Humanity is the only way to fix a dying planet… It is a fundamentally flawed premise. Instead of using the game to teach that humans are bad for the planet, maybe try providing a measure by which humans remain and co-exist?

Excellent Game! Wish there was more content though. A very fun puzzle/strategy game that just feels good to play. Amazing graphics, the theme of building from the ground up, it was a blast. It was a solid few hours before I finished the regular difficulty, which is a shame that there aren’t more levels. There wasn’t much wrong with the game, either. I never crashed, and while there were some minor bugs with object placement, it was never a setback given that I could back out of it. You don’t really have to replay a level either. At then end you have some excess currency to remodel and obtain all objectives in a single goal. Even if you do have to reset, you can reset only your current phase which makes planning for what comes ahead much easier. Very easy, fun one-time playthrough, would probably play again, certainly if more levels are released.

One of my favorite games. Nothing could be more peaceful and relaxing, yet still have interesting gameplay. There's a couple bugs here and there, but nothing that would make me not recommend this--and I'm impressed it can even run on mobile. Everyone into either nature or city builders must play this.

Love it, but there’s bugs. I also would have given this 5 stars like many others who have done reviews, but I only made it to the second area and because of a glitch in the game I can’t pass it and I already restarted the area once because I felt I messed up and had to remember all the steps to unlock the different things needed to progress, which for me is a pain since I have memory issues. Other than that it was really fun and I was really enjoying playing. Sadly I’ll be deleting it and hopefully someday they’ll fix the bugs.

Constant crashes undermine a great premise. It just keeps crashing. I’ve closed all other apps, it still crashes. I rebooted my iPad, it still crashes. It’s just not ready for release. This should still be in beta.

Love it but…. This game is strategic and challenging but still light enough play that it isn’t frustrating. I love it however, I’m stuck on a level, I don’t know if it’s me or a glitch in the game…but I can’t get past the level after you finish the first round. Pretty it’s the abandoned quarry one, there’s no way to plant trees/ burn grasses so you miss out on 2/3 ecosystems. Not sure if I’m just missing something
