Amazing Game - Fix Network Requirement. This is a great game and I would play lots of money for it given the chance. But it’s free with Netflix so that’s fine too - but I can’t play it on a plane! So, so disappointing. FTL is my current go to and I wanted to sink my teeth into this one over a long flight. Alas, it won’t open even if I was logged in before. Please fix this. It is ridiculous. Or let me pay for the port separately.

Core game is brilliant. Netflix?. I'm only the second person to write a review - and the first was a one-star that couldn't get it to run on an iPad. So I wanted to quickly post a good review to avoid bombing (although I haven't been able to get sound working - I expect quick patching). My five-stars is based on the ORIGINAL game, which I've played over 100 hours on Switch. It's already a deep tactical game, with a great atmosphere, compelling game loop, a fun variety of units and enemies, and constantly interesting choices. If they've added more units, enemies, environments - and upgradeable captains - then I can't wait to dig into all the advanced content. If you're looking for thrilling experiences like XCOM, Mario Rabbids, or Fire Emblem... This is a worthy addition to your turn-based strategy collection!

Update deleted my save. I love Into the Breach and was beyond excited to have it on mobile. I don’t believe this issue is Subset’s fault but rather the fact that Netflix won’t allow you to back up saves to iCloud. After putting hours into the iOS version I updated the game only to be prompted to pick my Netflix profile upon booting the game and finding that my save had been erased. I’ll be going back to the Switch version.

Best tactics game ever. Loved the PC version. The mobile port is excellent. One weird quirk that took me forever to figure out: the game has no sound if your phone is on silent mode. I don’t know of any other app that works this way. Why do I have to turn on my ringtone in order to play with sound?

Amazing game, buggy port. Every strategy or tactics enthusiast should try this game on Mac or PC. It’s incredibly well-designed. This game is a roguelike with permadeath and procedurally generated maps. It’s fully single player with no pay to win or microtransactions. This game is perfect. All that being said, the port to mobile is extremely buggy. It’s sad to see such an incredible game riddled with errors, like the bug where nothing on-screen is responsive and I have to exit to my home screen and open the app again. Happens about 3x per battle.

Fun game, but one unacceptable flaw in the mobile port. For whatever reason, whenever someone calls you, the game closes itself (even if you don’t pick up). This means that you have to continue from the main menu, which wouldn’t be a big deal if it just restarted the battle, but instead it brings you back to the beginning of your turn and automatically expends your one turn reset. Annoying, but it really gets bad if you’re unlucky enough to have already used your turn reset or get called twice, because then the game considers your run over and you have to start a new game.

For Netflix Accounts Only. I love the developers, and have enjoyed both FTL and Into The Breach on PC. Leaving fans like me out in the cold because we don’t have/want a Netflix subscription is unkind and unnecessary. I would have happily bought this game a second time for the convenience of playing on my phone, but that’s not an option. Subscriptions were bad enough, but letting streamers lock games for the sake of exclusivity and revenue share is simply ridiculous. People want to buy a game; let them buy the game. This Netflix deal may benefit the developers (and Netflix) now, but it puts me off having anything to do with them in the future.

Hard but good. This is an outstanding game made by outstanding developers but i question Netflix’s choice to include it in their platform as it is not friendly to casual players. It may look simple but it’s a very complex game that is not entirely intuitive. If you are a causal player or new to the genre, keep that in mind, be persistent and start on easy mode

Incredibly refined and challenging strategy puzzler. Chess like strategy with Mechs and Kaiju..an absolutely brilliant game and amazing pickup for Netflix to support. Whoever at the big N was behind this decision knows what they are doing. Definitely has me paying attention to their moves in this space now.

I love this game, but not the Netflix chains. I totally get it — Subset probably got a nice chunk of change to keep their business going. As a consumer and someone who wants Subset to keep making games and be successful, I think it was a good business move, but I would much rather buy the game outright (again <3) without Netflix involved (no shade on y’all, I’m glad Subset got a piece of that pie) in order to play it whenever I want on mobile and to help support the devs while not needing to have to another party and account involved.

Five Star Game with one annoying bug. Into The Breach is a top 50 all-time game for me but being unable to play music/podcasts while you play the game is beyond frustrating. Play it on Switch or one of the other platforms.

Great with one issue. and so is the other game by the Subset Games FTL, Netflix added their account screen whatever idc the original game is still great. My only problem is it pauses my audio every time i play, yeah i get it the game has music, but let me listen to my own if I want, if this gets fixed I’d give it 5 stars easily

Amazing. Netflix Thank you so much for making this possible. Amazing game with perfectly ported interface. Shout out to subset games for making this tactical masterpiece. What took you guys so long to get to iOS? This is like the perfect mobile touch screen game.

Not a game for completionists. If you’re the kind of person who likes to get a perfect score on every level and complete every mission objective in the games you play, this game is not for you. I find the game to be extremely difficult, and can really only play it on easy mode. Normal mode is basically unplayable unless you’re ok with consistently failing mission objectives and losing more often than you win. There isn’t even a way to restart a level and try again, you only get the option to completely start the whole game over. From the other reviews, it’s clear that many people like this game, so I think it’s just that the game doesn’t match well with my particular style of game play.

Very Hard to play. I have to agree with others that the game is unfair in easy mode. Netflix login popping up in the middle of the game is gotta be fixed. Once logged in and playing my game should not be interrupted with log in please. Perhaps make the game a little easier, it’s no fun to play loosing most the time. People will just stop playing and cancel their required Netflix account….

Easy 5 stars. Into the breach is one of my old favorites so I figured I’d try it out since it was free. Surprisingly, this mobile port is actually excellent. The controls are responsive and well implemented. I havent tried out the new stuff yet since I’m starting over with a new file, but what I’ve seen so far is as good as ever. This may well replace my switch as the way I interact with into tge breach.

Perfect game, but needs a few quality of life updates. Ever since it’s release on PC and Switch, Into the Breach has been one of my favorite games of all time. There’s an incredible amount of depth, strategy, and narrative packed into an 8x8 grid. Having played the PC/Switch versions for hundreds of hours, I was thrilled to see that this game was coming to mobile AND getting new content. I love this game, but I have a few notes for future updates. 1. For whatever reason, I can’t listen to outside music or podcasts while playing the game. Whatever I’m listening to stops as soon as I open the app. The music and sound design of the game are great, but sometimes I just want to listen to a podcast while slaying Vek, you know? Please, please address this in a future update. 2. There is some bug that reverses the choice I make for new content. Sometimes, I check the boxes for the new content, but I’m stuck with the classic missions and enemies. When the new content boxes are unchecked, new enemies, missions, and weapons appear. This specific issue seems very fixable in a patch. 3. I’ve noticed a bug where the grid-defense percentage fluctuates mid-match. I’ve mostly noticed this happening in “unfair mode” when the grid-defense starts at 0%. Again, something that seems fixable in a patch. Overall, I’m thrilled that this game is free for Netflix subscribers and finally available on mobile. If you address these issues, I will happily change my review to a solid five stars!

Needs. Great game, this is the third platform that I’ve gotten this game on. I would give this 5 stars if you could listen to your own music/podcasts while playing. I’m guessing it has something to do with Netflix not letting g that happen, but idk that’s just a guess. There were a few crashes but I’m sure that’s something that they will work out. Fix the sound and I think it will be great, it’s about time they brought this to mobile.

Great turn based strategy/puzzle game with roguelike elements!. As with FTL, the first game by this developer, this is now the third platform I'll play this on incl Switch and PC. The mobile interface works well as the other platforms already had touch as an option. I love the gameplay even though it can be punishing but there are good difficulty adjustments. Really wish this would save progress between iPhone and iPad or even cross platform saves from the existing Steam version would be the cherry on top!

Best roguelike/puzzle game. Thank you so much for bringing this to mobile. Now, I can play this on the go! The controls on mobile are very intuitive and reliable, no bugs or crashes yet. I you like the game on PC or planning to try it, no reason to think twice!

Great turn based game, needs some mobile updates. Fantastic game, but for a game on iOS it needs some updates like cloud saves and the ability to listen to your own audio while playing (I do think the soundtrack is very good, but for the amount of time I put into the game, I would like to listen to my own music and podcasts).

Always online. This was a fantastic indie game and an instant cult classic in the same vein as FTL and Slay the Spire. It was just screaming to be ported to mobile. And it was… but a bitter sweet sorrow I’m afraid. NETFLIX bought the mobile publishing rights and to play you have to have a sub with them and always be online to play; a game mind you that has no multi player in any capacity whatsoever. A sad story for a great single player game that would have been awesome on the mobile platform.

Please fix the bugs!. Incredible game brought down by the frequent bugs where you randomly can’t do anything. You can’t select a mech to make them move or attack. Quitting the app and restarting it usually fixes the issue for a little while but then it starts again. Please fix it!

Great game, horrible publisher.. The game itself is amazing, and the developers who made it deserve the credit for it. However, I absolutely disagree with monthly subscription based monetization. Consumers already have things expensive enough as it is, and Netflix has been a good example recently on how corporate profits take priority over the consumer. I would happily play and buy this game if it was published on iOS by the developers themselves and nothing went to netflix.

One of the greatest strategy games of all time. From the makers of FTL, into the breach is one of the best strategy games ever made. It’s a turn based tactics game, with a twist that you know what your enemy is going to do before they do it, and you have to react. And it has controller support! (Although I would appreciate if the controller support badge was added to the App Store so my backbone app would stop complaining)

Progress does not sync between devices. I’m disappointed to find that progress between my iPad and iPhone is not shared. There does not appear to be any cloud-save functionality, which is a must for mobile games. I have been hoping for a long while that Into The Breach would come to iOS like FTL did. I am disappointed it is tied to a subscription service and I can’t purchase it outright. I held off playing this game on PC because I knew it would be a better experience on my tablet or phone, but I didn’t expect these shortcomings.

Great game. Great gameplay, glad it’s finally mobile. The only thing that would make it better would be if it could be purchased outright without having to go through Netflix.

The wait is over. Easy 5 star! This game was great on pc and was just screaming to be played on mobile devices. Now let’s see if Netflix can make some more good choices with what games they bring to the service. My fingers are crossed for frostpunk.

Great game! but.... This game is great and surprised to find out it pis available with Netflix account. I could spend hours playing this game and it's of ease of being able to pick up where you left off at any moment is definitely a plus. Also, no micro transactions! The way a single player game is meant to be played! My one main complaint, and reason for writing this review, is that I AM UNABLE TO PLAY THIS GAME OFFLINE. I am on the plane with no internet access. I decided to kill some time by playing this game, thinking that there is no need for it to access the internet. After opening the app, it asks me to choose a profile (mine) but could not continue to the main menu because the internet is not available. Seriously? In this day in age when an authentication token could be persisted on the mobile for several days? Even I could open Netflix offline. Developers, please make this experience better. I have faith in you! You guys are great!

One of the best strategy games. This is one of the very best strategy games on iOS. A must play for fans of Fire Emblem and XCOM. The sound is fantastic too. Thanks Netflix! One request: please add iCloud sync between phone and iPad (even better if the file is compatible with Steam).

Five star game, four star execution. Into the Breach is an amazing game, and the controls of this mobile port are well-realized BUT The lack of any sort of option to load the game in airplane mode or without a network is a glaring omission. I get Netflix only wants current subscribers playing the game, but at least have it be able to handshake once a week or day so that folks can play without a network for a while. Better still would be an option to pay once to get the game, like on Switch or PC, but Netflix gotta Netflix

Addictive..if you like a challenge and strategy!. This is a GREAT game! It’s not simple, it’s not fast paced,it doesn’t have tons of characters and mind blowing graphics. What it does have is an actual mental challenge, somewhat similar to what chess provides. If you like actually thinking, seeing the big picture, and earning hard fought victories…you’ll love it! You will lose more than you win, especially at first. As you learn the game it will become easier, but you can simply change one of many customizable settings for continued difficulty. Even at the easiest setting it is difficult. If you’re looking for some mindless way to keep your hands busy, it’s not this. If you like finding something that will make you think several turns ahead and feel a genuine sense of accomplishment after a win, this is a Very rare mobile game that can give you that.

Perfect but could use some tweaking. This game is literally EVERYTHING I could’ve wanted in a game don’t get me wrong it’s a long game if you want to get a 100% run but I mean it’s worth it for me but there are some problems for instance there should be way more teams or achievements to get and the coin system I understand but there are some that are almost impossible to complete so you gotta know which ones to pick before you buy them but overall great game

Great for strategy fans!. I first played and fell in love with this game originally on my Switch. When I saw it was available on my iPad with a Netflix subscription I downloaded it immediately. I was weary about whether or not the controls would translate well and if it was an accurate port. Well to my surprise not only is it nearly identical to the console version but the game actually controls better with touch only controls! So much so that I now prefer to play it here rather than on my console. If you like turn based strategy games like Fire Emblem you will absolutely not be disappointed! The game is jam packed full of unlockable content via an achievements system and it’s incredibly addictive trying to get every single one. If you’re considering it enough to read the reviews then you owe it to yourself to try it out.

Kaiju Chess!. This is a really good game if you like roguelite tactics games. Unlike other random/luck based games, you can plan your moves out perfectly and not worry about your “95% to hit” moves whiffing more often than you think. Works great on my iPhone XS. I suspect the review saying it has an error on launch is due to it releasing earlier than expected. I had that error before too but it’s working now. You’d have to really like the genre to get a Netflix subscription just for this game, but if you have Netflix already I can recommend it pretty well

Add a campaign for the bugs. It’s awesome and fun but you really should make it so that we can play both sides. I mean you just drop us in to fighting these bugs I mean, we don’t even know what happen or when they came or why they came. So can we pls have some back story on the bugs. I would really appreciate that, or P.V.P, that’s all.

Solid game with minor technical issues. Game is engaging, haven’t had a chance with the advanced content yet though. Currently the app crashes when i try to resume it after some time, otherwise the port is solid.

Thanks netflix. If it wasn’t for Netflix would never have considered playing this. It honestly took me a while to learn how to play. But now I am really enjoying every moment of it. This the only strategy game that I’ve actually liked. The only problem just for me personally I really have to put my 100% brain power and focus. I enjoy that but I notice I can’t really play it daily because I get annoyed and play to fast and aggressive.

Potentially good game hobbled by corporate greed. The game itself is good but you can only play while online and signed into a Netflix account, which is nonsensical since this is entirely a single-player game with no online features or gameplay. I guess doing a deal with Netflix was more important to Subset than user friendliness for the people who actually play their game. Would be happy to pay for the game if the developers were simply charging for the game itself, but it’s absolutely not worth signing up for a Netflix subscription just for this. Blech!

Dangerously addictive. Everything in this game just make sense - every game mechanic works to complement each other. I’m playing on an IPhone SE and some times I have a hard time selecting my units but it’s not a big dead. I have 80+ hours on the switch versions

Fun game but…. It’s fun strategy in a sort of Pacific Rim world -better description of units abilities while in the middle of a match -Needs a better tutorial on how upgrades work -stop muting sound from other apps. I like to listen to my own music when playing games and it just muted it every time even with sound turned down in the app

developers have become highly ignorant. Absolutely pathetic that the develops of Sunk so low to put this with Netflix. Netflix is already garbage the people who made this game of the people who made faster than light two of my most favorite games of all time I never in 1 million years would I thought the developers would’ve made such a highly ignorant decision i’m honestly left without words they could’ve made this game $10 easy it’s a masterpiece but now we got a sign into Netflix to play it I’ve lost all respect for the ignorant developers this is pathetic and embarrassing.

Incredible depth, perfect fit for phone. If someone had told me years ago that Into the Breach was a game where you distill the most interesting, brain teaser strategic turns late into the heart of a chapter in Fire Emblem and ensure all battles are only those epic turns, I would have purchased this game years ago. I missed it then but I’m loving it on my phone now. Controls feel good, the music reminds me of the beautiful tones from playing FTL so many years ago. I can’t believe I slept on this game, I’m going to pay attention to this dev more, big fan.

Great port with not so great account. Amazing game made even better with the advanced edition content. Really hate the Netflix games addition, you are unable to start the game if you have no service/wifi since you can’t login to your stupid netflix games account. I would understand the login for the first time you start it, but every single time you start up the app you need to be in wifi which was very annoying for me when I was unable to do so for a week while traveling. Super hope this exclusivity is timed I would much rather pay $20 for a single purchase like FTL

Much too hard for casual play. Even on the easiest difficulty setting there are too many enemies for casual play. I realize some people want a very hard game to challenge them, but for me I don't want to dedicate the time and concentration. I think there's a simple fix. If the Easy level were changed so that you don't lose reactor cores when you die it would be possible to gradually increase mech power until it's an enjoyable balance. The reason I didn't find it fun was that I kept losing all progress and replaying the same tiny amount of gameplay over and over again. Allowing the player to keep accumulating reactor cores instead of losing them every time you die would make it so that you aren't completely starting over.

Go figure. I wouldn’t have guessed that the true purpose of a multibillion dollar streaming juggernaut was to enable me playing this game on my phone but there you go. The most value added to my subscription since great British bake-off.

Long time fan. I unlocked every original squad on PC, and am looking forward to tackling the new content there! I’m also looking forward to rebuilding my save file on mobile… wish me luck with the Secret Squad!

Netflix Required. I love Into the Breach on Steam and Nintendo Switch. It is ridiculous to lock it down to a Netflix account, which I have no interest in. Players are almost guaranteed to lose their save file eventually, you can’t play it offline, and players won’t “own” this game as soon as Netflix removes it from their list. Get out of the Netflix money grab and just sell this game for us loyal players to own, Subset Games. You’ve sold out, and this is going to likely be the end of your greatness as a nearly perfect “independent” developer. You’re going to be just another developer scrambling for maximum money. Sad to see.

Great game. Don’t delete if game isn’t loading before you try connecting to Wi-Fi 🙄 also don’t start playing on toilet, your legs will turn to static and you will get at least one hemorrhoid.

The Greatest Strategy Game of All Time. Can’t overstate how many hours I’ve put into this one. It’s a testament to how elegantly this game is designed that even on a phone screen, it doesn’t feel compressed at all. Like others, I kinda wish it wasn’t tied up with Netflix, but whatever. Still a miracle to have it on the subway.

Turns off music. Like heaps of people I like to listen to music while I play. Big nope. Turn your music off & only audio you can use is game music & effects. Fail. On that alone.

No sound on not 1 but 2 iPads, requires Netflix account?. I’m ok ‘activating’ the game once with Netflix but it looks like I’m going to need to be an indefinite subscriber to access the game. That’s madness. The lack of sound is the clincher tho. I love FTL, eager to try this but it literally has no sound, it’s currently unplayable.

Too small on iPhone 12. While it’s a really faithful conversion to mobile and plays well, everything is too small on my iPhone 12. Need an option to zoom in to see what’s going on. At the moment it’s too frustrating to play

don't use while travelling. will randomly decide you no longer have access to the game. terrible way to release the game on ios. please free this wonderful game from the clutches of netflix.

I’m happy!. Thanks Netflix! Brilliant move, wonderful game. Great job my favourite version of the game

Great game. Awesome game and audio issues have been fixed :)

Frozen Titans Broken. Can’t purchase the Frozen Titans

Strategy Masterpiece. Beautifully balanced game by the makers of FTL. Rules are simple to learn but tremendous complexity of outcome emerges from the different combinations of abilities, enemies and environments. Wide variety of weapon types, pilots, squads and achievements make for great replayability. I’m currently replaying with each squad on the highest difficulty level. Most attempts I fail but there’s just enough randomness in the weapon upgrades and pilots that are presented on each attempt to allow me to squeak through but only if I get the strategy just right.

One of my favorite casual games.. Love Into the Breach, so happy it's on IOS now. Very replayable game with a lot of different playstyles and strategies possible. Well adapted for mobile, UI functions well and I encountered no bugs in 30+ games. My only note would be that players who haven't played on other platforms might not realise how XP distributes on non-mech kills without the visual cue, or that chooisng a new pilot loses the current ones XP/lvl.

Can’t Launch. Instantly crashes at login screen.

Let me listen to podcasts, kthx. I love this game, but I’m not going to play it if I can’t listen to any music or podcasts while doing so.

Couldn’t log in to Netflix account through the game…. … so I couldn’t play it at all. Garbage.

Shame it’s locked to Netflix. Been waiting forever for this port, and it’s absolutely phenomenal! But I don’t maintain a Netflix sub when I’m out of things to watch and I’d love to not lose access to this absolute gem of a game. Please, let me just buy it.

A pure gem. First: Humm, a netflix app... Second: Looks old school Third: Very very few text and you can skip training Fourth: Ultra radical gameplay and you lose you character when it dies Five: 10,20,30 tires at "unfair" mode and i still want to try and try again. Congratulation on a very impressive game, well done. Dr.J

Game won’t even open.. iPhone 11 Pro Max. Big N flashes to let me know who has my money then the game crashes. Thanks.

Sooo good!. OMG so good been waiting for this one to hit. As good as I hoped for!

Game won't open. Open the app, get a Netflix logo, and then a black screen that never progresses. Reinstalled, restarted, no change. App is broken on my 13 Pro Max.

Netflix / Offline play limited. I think Into the Breach is one of the best games ever made. Top 5. This port is great, it’s an awesome implementation with only a few crashes so far that I’m sure will get ironed out. However - linking to Netflix, a subscription I’d like to get rid of, without any way to just buy the full edition, sucks. I own this on steam, switch, and would have been willing to buy it on iOS, but here we are. The other problem is that there’s no offline mode with any of the Netflix platform stuff so if I don’t have a wifi enabled flight I can’t play this game. You can start the game before you take off, and if it doesn’t crash then you can play it, but it’s not great.

Running fine on my iPhone 12 Mini. This is one of my favourite games. So glad Netflix threw money at this to make more of it. Would I have preferred a premium purchase? Absolutely. But I’m just glad I can finally play this on mobile. Uninstalling every other mobile game I have.

HORRRIBLE that Netflix is holding this game hostage. This is an amazing game, no one question, I have bought it on multiple other platforms and would have been happy to spend even 20$ for it on IOS but Netflix is a terrible company I have no internet in giving money too. Honestly it’s a shame

Netflix paywall. Love the game, willing to buy it again on iPad like FTL eve I own it on PC already. But behind Netflix paywall? No thanks! #cancelnetflix

Into the breach not working IOS 16. From what I’ve played before I updated to IOS 16 on my iPhone 13 it was great! However, since I updated my iPhone 13 to IOS 16 Into the Breach does not launch! Please fix!

You need to pay for netflix to play. Just… why??

Really not a fan of subscription based games.. This is a really fun game on pc, a solid 4/5 in my opinion. That said I’d rather just buy it than subscribe. Update, won’t launch on my iPhone but works fine on my iPad with public beta 16

Moar. Just waiting for FTL now

Confusing and requires Netflix subscription. Lots of game features lack explanation, easy mode is actually difficult, and if you want to play you need a Netflix subscription

Great Tactical Game. The combat is clear and the turn based strategy is really easy to understand but hard to master. There’s just so many units to choose from that the repeatability of the game is stellar. Well done, I’ve been playing it for months and it’s still just as enjoyable.

Still more bugs to squish. I’ve been playing Into The Breach through Steam Link and was surprised to see Netflix sponsored an iPhone port. When I plugged in my controller I was surprised to see my Backbone controller mostly worked with the game! Mostly. The right press to see turn order doesn’t work, as well as the start and select buttons to open the menu or display turn order. Those were minor bugs. The biggest issue for me is that even if I turn the sound in the game off, Into The Breach interrupts any music or podcasts I have playing. If you went back in time and squashed those bugs I would give this game a perfect score.

Avoid this version. Game is phenomenal but Netflix paywall give it star

Doesn’t work. Can’t login. I double checked all my info: username, password. I get an error code 3***. Looks like Netflix dropped the ball again. I would suggest skipped this dumb Netflix version and purchasing it through steam on desktop.

One of the best strategy games ever made. This game is near-perfect in every way. Elegant, concise, and challenging. It loses one star due to it being limited under Netflix, preventing everyone who have been clamouring to play it on iOS and iPadOS, but have decided to stop wasting their money on the subscription service.

Can’t listen to music. Even with “mute all audio” checked, this app shuts off my music as soon as I’m in it. So many other apps have figured this out — can you please fix it?

Unable to play on the plane. This was a real tick-off. Found a game that I really enjoyed and figured I could kill some time on the flight… nope! Netflix passcode needed, while I had it, it didn’t submit without internet. What an absolute slap in the face.

Game mutes all sound.. If you are listening to music or a podcast or whatever, the game mutes it with no way to override. Obnoxious and stupid. I’ll gladly update my review when/if they update this, but I’ll never understand why a decision like this would be made in the first place.

Awesome iphone port. Loved the game on steam, always wanted to play it on mobile and now I can. Only reason I’m not giving it 5-stars is because there’s no way to transfer save data.

Subset Games does it again!. A great game on all platforms! Weird Netflix is releasing it but whatever… Into the Breach is FANTASTIC. Also make sure to check out their other great release FTL.

Humanity: Destroyed.. Vek Threat: Unstoppable. Mission: Failed. “Open a breach. Time to go back and try again.”

Please allow to listen to music or podcast. Even with the game audio muted, you are unable to listen to any podcast or music. This would be great if you would be able to. Thanks devs. Will change review when available.

Amazing game. Very good game, you can spend hours wrecking your brain trying to come up with the most optimal way of winning the given scenario. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because this game demolishes my battery, devs please optimize it

Great port but audio issues. It’s a great port of a great game, but it does not allow you to play other audio at the same time. Slay the spire for mobile does so it’s definitely possible

Can’t buy frozen titans. I did the unlock ach cheat just so I don’t have to do all the achievements for the squads and i can buy all of them except the frozen titans

Need a Netflix sub?!. Absolutely ignorant company. They’re a sinking ship and their next great idea is not allowing you to play a game without a sub to their now mediocre streaming service, like this is going to bring people back. Requiring an account to an unrelated service and having to pay for a service that’s useless in this context is how tone deaf this company has become, they’re a blight.

A masterclass of game design. I’ve played this game every day for years on PC, I will continue to do so on a phone. Touch controls work great.

Great gameplay but lacks cloud sync. This game is one of my favorites. Great strategy and theming. However, the inability to transfer or link gameplay progress or saves between devices is a real let down.

One of the best strategies finally arrived on iOS!. Was waiting for iOS version since the release. Finally its there. Plays great, have additional content. Recommended!

Another one flawed. Netflix dropped the ball again and it’s impossible to play multiple devices with the same account. Basic functionality. I log in with it why isn’t my game shared between devices?

10/10 game. It was perfect on desktop and it’s just as good as I’d hoped on mobile. If “chess but make it Pacific Rim” isn’t an instant download for you idk if we can be friends.

Won’t launch. Hoping this is fixed soon Edit: Launch error appears to be fixed now

A fresh take on strategy games. This is a great game. Unlike other strategy games, battles are very focused, quick, and tactical.

Amazing tactics game!. One of the best tile-based tactics games ever. I played the crap out of it on PC, and it runs perfectly on mobile!

Literally perfect. I think I’ve played 1500 hours of Into the Breach across multiple platforms and the mobile one is flawless. Play it on Unfair mode for a daunting but rewarding challenge

Great game. Into the breach is a modern classic. Thanks for bringing it to mobile so I can play it whenever I want 😀

Works great. Amazing game on PC, cant wait to unlock everything again and try out the new stuff

Internet Connection Required?. Great game, but why do I need to connect to my Netflix account every time I start the game up. I primarily play phone games while on flights, and this completely defeats the purpose. No other games I own require this

Great game but Netflix exclusivity is awful. This game is fantastic. But locking it behind a subscription service is deplorable. Let me pay $20 to support the devs and buy the game directly. Netflix is a trash service and I’m not going to pay for it just to play this game. Disgusting practice.

Netflix Subscription Required. You can’t play unless you sign up for a paid Netflix subscription. Absolutely ludicrous system. I love this game on PC, otherwise zero stars and shame on Netflix.

It’s so good. Into the Breach is such a good game. It’s exactly what I was looking for as a turn-based spiritual successor to FTL. I’m not sure what the lower reviews are about. This game is dank and deserves your download.

amazing but let my music play through!. please allow audio from the music player to play - it takes over all audio on my phone when open

Fun and engaging turned based combat!. Like if you took the best parts of XCOM and Titanfall and put them into a mobile game

Simply phenomenal. The game is a super tight puzzle with just enough room for error to stay fun over and over.

Amazing, but no podcasting?. The game is amazing as always, and I’m beyond excited to try out the new additions… But why can’t I listen to a podcast while playing?

Nasty bug and this is a bad game to have this bug.. Multiple times I've had a bug wherein I couldn't move my mech to a certain square. It's happened at least 5 times. And anyone who plays this game knows that would drive you nuts. Please fix it then 5 stars.

Strategy Greatness. One of my favorite games of all time. Infinitely replayable. And now it’s on iOS with touch controls. I love it!

Netflix forces re-login every 90 seconds. This just started happening a while ago. Absolutely terrible experience. Don’t buy this game until they fix this - it is unplayable on iOS right now. Really a shame, this was a great game.

Excellent Game. So glad this came to iOS, easily one of the best games you can get.

Great but I want to to listen to music while I play the game. That's really my only complaint it's fun

Time killer 2000. One of the best PC ports to a IOS. Smooth, no problems. The advanced content is fantastic. No micro transactions. Not sure if it can be played offline. Highly recommend

Finally on mobile!!!. It’s one of the best games I’ve played on the switch and it’s finally on mobile! Highly recommend for turn based game lovers!

Fantastic!!. This is the perfect mini-tactical strategy game….touch controls are great. The game is flawless and I highly recommend to everyone who hasn’t tried it out yet. Thank you Netflix for bringing Into the Breach to iOS!! My only complaint is lack of cross-save. I was hoping my save profile would transfer from iPhone to iPad….it doesn’t seem to

Runs great. Everything works great for me! Been a fan of this game since it first came out on PC. I’m very excited for both the new content and being able to play it on the go.

Fun game but you can’t listen to music. Fun game, easily 5 stars on its game play; however, there are two significant problems that drag down the rating: 1. Why does Netflix want my location when I am playing this game? Seems a bit invasive. (It hasn’t asked for location services, but the privacy info says they track location which can be worked out other ways—if they aren’t spying then they should change their privacy policy). 2. It disables other audio sources, even if you have it muted. Want to listen to a podcast or some music while you play? Too bad. Fix both these things and it’s a 5 star game.

No Syncing?. Game is great so far, but to not offer syncing across devices using either iCloud or your Netflix account seems like a pretty big oversight considering how common a feature that is on both iOS and game streaming platforms.

Great game by a great dev team!. Wish I could bring my saves from the iPhone version over to iPad

Log in issues prevent enjoying this awesome game. Netflix can’t figure out how to prevent you from being signed out all the time. I sign in, load up the game, get 2-3 turns in, then BAM, logged out and back to the log in screen. Fix the log in issues, and this will be wonderful. Unplayable as it stands now.

Not a scam. Wow they actually ported it over form steam very well! I only wish my accounts were synched.

Great game but only one undo. This game is great but having only one undo on a cell phone where it’s very easy to misclick is extremely unfortunate

Frozen Titans Aren’t Working!. Please fix, it’s our fave team - otherwise great game!

Netflix why?. This is an amazing rts from pc which is handcuffed by a horrible Netflix partnership. As stated in other reviews you can’t play offline and you have to log into a Netflix account every time you play. This makes a great game horrible and not worth the time to play. Stick to FTL.

Fantastic game to have on iOS. Love this game. 4 stars because I can’t play podcasts or music over the game audio even after muting the games audio.

Touch Controls Work Great. Played a lot of this game on the PC. I was excited to play this on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I was not disappointed. The touch controls work great!

No subscription version please. I love this game. Ever since playing it on PC I thought it would be an amazing mobile game. And now my wait is over! …except that I am not going to pay $120 a year for the *cheap* Netflix subscription just to play this game. Please release this game as a stand-alone. I will happily pay the full $15 Steam price again (or heck, I’d even pony up $20) to play this on mobile.

Great Port!. I 100% the game on PC a while back, and having the game now on mobile, with extra content is awesome! So far, there haven’t been any issues.

No Background Audio Playback. The game is great, but the app does not allow background music or podcasts to be played when open. I hope this is changed soon so I can give it 5 stars…

Please wait! Into the Breach game comments loading...
