Buggy. Doesnt allow me to login after creating account

This app is garbage. “Something went wrong” - with everything.

Verification section is not working. App supposed to send code to the phone number. Code never arrives

Use the other app. This app doesn’t work at all but you can set up your charger with the main charge point app

Total garbage. I cannot possibly emphasize enough how poorly written the entire software stack is for the home flex charger. This app in particular is full of bugs. My charger “forgets” its current setting every few months and it takes a good hour or so of just trying and failing to get this absolute dumpster fire of an app to work so I can set the breaker amperage again.

THIS APP IS NOT FOR THE US. The correct app for United States is called Charge Point as well but it has a letter C in the logo. Both are created by the same developer but it does not specify which one to download. This app is for home charging while the correct one is for public charging. I had to figure this out after 2 weeks of calling almost every day to customer support.

Garbage. Overly complicated. Ev chargers give no clear info. Looks almost identical to personal garage charger. Tried many times. Has never worked.

useless. the app would not work. it had some issue after reading the QR installation code. the useless error message said “something went wrong”. I found the MAC address and password, then input those manually. same error message. now i’m #24 in a phone queue awaiting tech support. why go to the trouble of providing an error message like that.

QR code not working. QR code is nearly impossible to scan, and without it, this app is useless. Blowing it up on a second device will sometimes work but I think the main problem is poor print quality on the code. Last time support had me use the owner’s phone to activate it but this won’t work if we need to set the max charge lower. Needs to be behind password protection which is the purpose of the installer app.

Nearly impossible to scan QR code!!!. Either make the QR code larger or give the option to zoom!!!!!!!!!!

Really poor app. I installed the app and try to scan the RQ code and keep giving me error, try to login again and give me error to log in…. Created another account same problem… Called customer support and after 30 minutes waiting hung out on me….

Works Great So Far. App works great so far. No bugs, at least I don’t think I’ve found any. However I did come across a VOLVO branded ChargePoint that I was unable to connect to. I got a message saying something like “unit not compatible” or something like that.

You can wipe yourself with the instructions. Apparently the instructions for installers provide you a link to this app claiming you can set breaker settings, it’s just a ploy to get you to enter your personal information. The app doesn’t work at all, it is non functional. You can literally wipe yourself with the instructions. Just get the homeowner to set up an account with the charge point app and do it the stupid way.

QR CODE DOES NOT WORK. I’m installing this charger for the first time. I am a master electrician and so far I have done everything right. However this technology has a problem recognizing the QR code on the equipment. This is not something I can fix!

Doesn’t scan the barcode it requires to set up charger. The intentions of this app were good, but the execution is very poor. The barcode on the charger which the app requires is incredibly small, and so the app struggles to scan it even with one of the latest iPhones. I did succeed scanning the code after probably 20 attempts, and then the app worked fine. I don’t think though that the app is required at all, if you have the main app for ChargePoint. you can configure the breaker size there.

Signed up, took my details and then “Something Went Wrong”. App is useless. Tried setting up a new device and this thing got all my details and then wouldn’t let me sign in after scanning the barcode once. Very frustrated. Useless app. Avoid it.

Don't waste your time. The only part that works is account creation. Scanning the QR code on the front of the home chargepoint device only returned error messages. Ended up having to use the regular Charge point user app to complete installation instead, which worked flawlessly. This app, however, was a complete waste of time.

Poor interface and frustrating user creation. Tried to set up and didn’t work. Tried to creat another account and that blew up everything. No customer service contact easily accessible. Frustrating!

Installing a Home Charger? - READ THIS. This app isn’t required for setting up a charge point home charger anymore. Have the owner download the normal Charge Point app that shows public charger information. There is a tab at the bottom for setting up a new home charger. It took a call to their support line to learn we were using the wrong app the whole time. I don’t really know what this app is even for now, they should probably take it off the App Store to stop confusing customers and electricians.

Something went wrong when trying to log in. Broken app. Used two different email addresses, can’t log in to complete install.
